I use over 100 of these boxes each year. They are great and fit my product perfectly. The only problem is that for every 100 boxes I receive, 10 % are miss cut and will not fold together properly. I can still use them but they make my business look 3rd rate. These boxes are still great for my business and I will continue to use them. P.s. wal-mart. My life changed when I bought these boxes–I thought I was happy before, but I never knew what misery I was truly under until these boxes arrived at my door. From the minute that my hands made contact with the luxurious cardboard exteriors, I was enthralled…silk or rose petals have nothing on these babies. I went for the 10-inch, and they satisfied me completely. I was able to pack up my plastic models in them with room to spare… These boxes arrive flat, but construction is easy and addictive–once you do one, you'll soon find a pile of maybe a dozen or more before you, fully assembled, with little or no memory of how they got there. All you will feel is the sweat drying on your body and the post-build ecstacy which will linger… They are light, but strong. The corrugations in them ripple like taut muscles. Yet they are easy to bend into shape, like a sensitive lover whose pretensions of disaffected disinterest melt away at your tentative touch…oh…! When they enfold your deepest entrusted secrets (or knick-knacks), you will fell safe and, I dare say… loved? This box is not heavy duty at all. Specs missing from the item description are that the side crush strength is only 50 lbs and the maximum weight allowed is 100 pounds. The double wall is actually a standard wall with a smaller corrugation added. It is adequate for medium loads but if you have a need for a heavy duty carton, you'll need to look elsewhere.Guest

The folds in the boxes were poorly finished so that the dimensions of each edge are not always equal. I would not trust these boxes for shipping purposes. I bought them for use in temporary storage and so quality was less critical for me. That is the reason for the rating being as much as 3 stars. It would have been 1 otherwise.David

If you're expecting an amazing Marshall sound, you might want to invest in some of the bigger amps Marshall has to offer. If you think you can get a concert level sound out of this little guy, you will not be the happiest person. However, that level of "high" expectation would not be very reasonable or even realistic for such a little amp. This is a very cute, small amp that will help you plug your guitar so you can practice quietly in any room in your house without annoying your wife. It will distort if you crank the volume all the way out, and if you're used to the full sound of a bigger Marshall (like I do) it might make you feel like you're hearing your guitar over an old telephone (just my opinion). However, if you calibrate your instrument volume & tone you can find a happy medium. With that said, for the price it is a very nice solution to practice and if the sound seems too weak for you, you have the choice of putting headphones. I personally use it just for practice on the fly, it serves it purpose, but then again I was not expecting the best sound output. So I am happy with the purchase.BeeZee

It's basically a toy amp. I can see it being used as a portable amp for non-serious performance. Personally, I like it for a quick jam and for (relatively) quiet practice in my apartment setting. Won't disturb my neighbors but it does get noticeable at the highest volume. That and the overdrive knob are the two main controls. By default it just does a clean sound but overdrive lets you toggle in some gain for that distortion. It has a good look that definitely models after its bigger brothers.Rick

I don't know what some of you guys expect from this thing, but be realistic: it's an inexpensive 5 inch tall, 1 watt amp. It's not designed for anything but sitting in a chair and entertaining yourself or a couple of people. Within that context, I enjoy this thing and sometimes get it off the shelf and play around with it for awhile. Also, when I owed somebody a 1 minute long riff for his podcast and my main amp was getting some regular tech service, I plugged my American Standard Strat into this thing, mic'd the amp, used the OD channel with the volume and tone both on 10, played the part, then added tons of bass, reverb, and chorus to it in post, and it sounded great and nobody ever knew that I recorded the part using a 5 inch tall amp. It is what it is as long as you don't expect the world.Steve

The previous times I have ordered boxes, they just come in a bigger box, no plastic. These boxes came wrapped in an impressive amount of cling wrap and plastic ties which are non-recyclable at all, anywhere. Not so good for the environment, Staples! Other than that, the boxes are decent.MARIA

These look like decent boxes, however Staples folded them in half in order to cut down on the package size for transit. This might not seem like a big deal, but when assembled, the additional crease on the longest side of the box reduces the structural rigidity. This crease acts as an impact relief and allows shock to transfer to the contents, rather than be absorbed by the cardboard when impacted along the width. When we order the same size boxes from another company, they are not folded and seem to be of slightly thicker construction. Staples' boxes are much cheaper, so I guess they will do for light duty.CHRIS

I used to get my boxes from Uline. They have a good product but they absolutely fleeced me on shipping. (Uline even charges $25 for the customer to pick up their order at their warehouse.) I own a small business and like to send product in new boxes to present a professional look. These boxes are crisply cut and machined. They’re sturdy and hold tape very well. I wish they had an even larger selection.ROBERT

First off I'm an old school Sound Engineer. This little Amp does it all. It has so many uses even though it is so simple. It will teach you to learn to use the controls on your guitar better. Unlike several modeling amps this little piggy takes most stomp boxes GREAT!! Maybe he best feature is its Pre Amp Out which allows you a line into the PA or it will blow you away going into the input of your tube amp giving you a realist boost over any stomp box. At low volumes using the proper guitars pickups sparkling cleans. and this Piggy was made to be dirty. Best tool to have as a back up. Great traveling amp. Battery Life is goes a long way just get rechargeable and carry a small battery recharger in its little closed stash compartment. I don't recommend using the power cord. I'm sure there are some youngsters that differ with me but the old schoolers that like it raw and understand how to dial in their tone without playing with mods will dig this amp/fuzz box. If you have a nice clean tube amp but want some growl and extra volume pre amp this baby into your amp. I have several pedals and over drives and most all become thin bringing up the volume compared to this. it just gets thicker and more meaty as you increase the vol. My buddy are blown away with what comes out of the PA with this little Piggy and just a couple of effects my 86 RAT with this work well together.Cool mixes

I have the tweed covered version of the legendary 7-100, so it sounds the same as the leatherette covered version. I was very surprised at the rich tone of this amp. I am using it with 6 AA's not the power supply (dont know what difference that makes tonally) and it sounds like a tweed champ. You can get clean tones that have just a touch of twang with single coils or weaker humbuckers (gretsch) at a lower volume and form 1/4 of the way up you get progressively more and more tweedish ( let's face it-tweed breakup is basically distortion that fuzzes up as the gain increases) type distortion. With a tele you are in rolling stones territory, and with a humbucker equipped guitar you are in Neil Young land. It is awesome for recording, just stick your mic in front and go! It takes pedals well also. I love the simplicity-no time spent tweaking controls, plug in and rock. That said; this is not an ideal amp for a young beginner guitar player. A young kid will not appreciate what this amp gives. But for experienced players who like a "tweed' tone at a dirt cheap price this cannot be beat. Also, dont listen to the nonsense from guys who own one of the "original" ones that these new ones are no good-that's crap. The circuit has not changed regardless of who constructs it.padraic9143

Mr. Chatter is a great. The Pignose sounds line a vintage amp that gives you vintage guitar sounds from the 60s and 70s. This is a real analog amplifier not digital modeling The. Pignose is hand made and a quality piece of gear that will give many years of enjoyment with its rugged construction and quality components. The Pignose is surprisingly loud and versatile. The output jack allows you to send the Pignose to an amp or power amp/PA. I recommend getting the wall wart to save battery usage for outside use. Even the adapter fits inside of the Pignose. I got the original brown and it goes with home decor very easily. The Pignose can do cleans, overdrive and fuzz tones and does well with single coil pickups. The Pignose is very dynamic and you need to use your volume knob and hand to control the amp, like a real tube amp. Inwish I got a Pignose years ago. It is not a gimmick … its a real quality amp for children, adults and recording professionals.tnak4528

I use this primarily as an attenuator. I’ve tried most of the products on this market which all have various shortcomings. The TAE allows you to actually use your tube amp without blowing out your ear drums. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to going straight into an amp. Very transparent. I had another reamper that was tube based and about half the cost that was very dark and colored the sound. Also significantly impacted the reverb/vibrato in my HW deluxe reverb. No issues like that with the TAE and also does well with pedals. Highly recommend. Very pricey, but gives you lots of flexibility. The onboard effects are very “digital” sounding to my ear, so I just turn them off.Joel Gilmore

I've had this device for two weeks now and am selling my PS2 in favor of it (although the PS2's attenutation is just as good). I've used many attenuators over the years and this one is probably among the best. The variable loads help with the feel and reactance of your amp – there's nothing else with this option on the market. The attenuator works great, as well and has a smooth taper for volume. Unlike the OX or other attenuators, doesn't effect your sound as you reduce volume other than removing some speaker drive characteristics. The onboard effects have Boss standard serviceability in their sound and having a boost EQ is very useful. For live use they would do the trick but in the studio I'd opt for some plugins. I expected the IRs to be lackluster, but actually compare very favorably to other 3rd party IRs on the market and are pleasantly satisfying through headphones. If you're looking for a good tube amplifier silent recording solution with effects, routing options, and attenuation for live use… this is the best one on the market IMO. In fact, if you've got an older lower wattage amp, this can bring it up to band volume through a higher power speaker cab. Pricey, but with all those options – worth it!Temple12

Unit itself: After watching all the YouTube videos and reading forum sites I was convinced for a bit that I was just doing something wrong. It seem to add some gain to every amp I had. The only way it sounded close to was to turn the volume of the amp itself down. The reactive load section didn't help at all and it wasn't real clear on exactly I was changing when switching them. The "suggested" settings in the manual did nothing for me. The only way I was able to get a sound even close to what I had without it was to crank the unit which defeated the purpose… For low volume playing at home I could have just turned the amp itself down and used an OD to get the drive… Other guitar player in my band mentioned the Bugera PS1 sounded better! This unit basically made my amps digital. If you're a fan of digital products you will be fine. If not, I'd look elsewhere. Effects/Rigs/Software: I like the effects that was in the unit and giving some tweaking I could see using them. If I could have gotten the tone worked out I could have easily set up rigs with just those effects and done away with half of my board…. Rigs work just fine, you save presets that are switchable with the unit for the controller. Some people complain but that lack of "on the fly" edits and that they can only be made within the software, it never bothered me. The software itself worked fine for me but I could see where someone with more experience using software to control music equipment might have an issue with it. At the time of this writing it can't be used with a updated iMac. Loading IR's takes forever so I used software instead. If there was no other option on the market it would be great, there's tons though, and Youtube isn't the best way to judge a product. Glad I tried it so at least I know but I'm very grateful for Guitar Center's 45 day return policy!Chris K

As one reviewer (Lee w/ Dawsons – great reviews) put is (paraphrasing) Orange wasn't trying to put out another modeling amp… w/ the Crush 20RT & 35RT, the goal was to make a really nicely voiced solid state amp – and they achieved it. It sounds great. My initial concern (which others may share) was the clean channel would still be too dirty, but it's not. And you can dial in all kinds of dirt in the dirty channel. Effects loop in the back, foot switch capable and a tuner… This is a great amp – and at this price, it's a fantastic value. Love it.marklynch32

My guitar amp died and I needed a replacement. I heard good reviews regarding the Orange Crush 35RT. It arrived sooner than expected. The sound is excellent. I like the built in guitar tuning feature. It meets my requirement.fagian45

This amp is versatile and easy to use stand-alone. It has a great selection of amp models built-in, along with enough effect and delays so that you can find something that you like fairly quickly. I like the clean and boutique models with some reverb. Then I played around with the other models, adjusting settings and effects. You can adjust everything on the amp, not necessary to connect a computer. I did find it confusing initially due to all the different methods required, i.e. "press a button", "press and hold", "press for 2 seconds", etc. That's why I read the manual a few times! Line6 puts a nice 2-sided "cheat sheet" on top of the amp around the carrying handle which is a lot easier than flipping through small pieces of paper staring at small font printing. So don't remove the amp-topper sheet and toss it in the box with the rest of the packing material :-). The best feature of the Catalyst amp is the manual channel. This is WYSIWYG. Adjust the knobs and controls just like a "regular"amp. You can then save the settings once you get something you like. In the future I will connect the amp to the computer and see what else you can do. Right now I am quite happy with the Catalyst amp and I highly recommend it. Go get one!Gene

After suffering a disabling back injury I needed an amp that was easier and lighter to move and set up than the tube amp combos I was used to playing through. I never cared much for the solid state amps as they could never duplicate the warmth a tube amp provided and was considering retiring from live performance altogether. Then I heard about the Catalyst series of amps and decided to try them out and was amazed! My bandmates were as well, telling me how much more clean and clear my sound was. Programming channels was a snap ( just follow the "cheat sheet on top of the amp and read the manual) and the manual button provides the familiarity of a regular amp, and at a third of the weight of my Blackstar 40 watt tube combo I can continue to perform without dealing with debilitating back pain from moving a 70 pound amp. I was so impressed I went back to GC and got the 60 watt Catalyst as well for home and playing at open mic and jams. I couldn't be happier with these amps and am grateful for the help and guidance the folks at Guitar Center in Concord Ca. always provide.Stephen

I have a few amps that I'm selling and a couple that need work – I picked up this Catalyst 60 on a whim so I'd have something reliable and portable while I'm moving amps around my local used market – but I'm super impressed with this amp and am probably going to upgrade to the 100w model! (In fact, I'll get two because I play in stereo!) I found it impossible to get a bad sound out of this, I plugged in direct with my Vox Virage DC and tried all the possible pickup combinations and did not want to stop playing. Great cleans, great crunch. The higher gain amp settings had me revisiting the metal riffs of my youth, haha. I haven't dived into the software editor because: I haven't needed to. Half the price of Gator, same protection. I have my 2*12 cab and my small hughes and Ketner black spirit 200 head in this case. Comes with a ton of padding that interlocks and velcro that can be removed/added for perfect fit. I was excited to procure this battery/ac amp at a fair price, so I bought a used one listed as "great condition." These amps are hard to find on the used market and ZT told me in an email production has ceased for this model until Q2 2022. The amp was indeed in semi-great condition except for a small puncture in the foam of the 5" speaker which buzzed. Quality control was obviously lacking as it's noticeable while playing the bass strings on an electric guitar irrespective of where the ZT's tone control is set. Accessing the speaker simply requires removing the grill without tools and applying a bit of speaker glue to the damaged part of the cone. I did it myself instead of returning it to GC, which I would have pondered if ZT wasn't horrendously backlogged. These amps sound stellar for home, busking, or as a personal stage monitor. I have two of them for a stereo pedalboard and Rick-O-Matic guitar. I have a DI on my pedalboard. I wouldn't mic the ZT. Conversely, the active tone control has excessive bass for the small speaker to handle, and I suspect many amps result in ripped cones if played loudly with the tone control at less than 12:00.Ed

The sweet analog tone coming from this little guy really inspires me to play & practice. Great cleans but the real surprise is it has the best grind of any solid state amp I ever played when pushed. I was well aware of the dimensions of the thing before it arrived, but opening the box and actually holding it is still pretty shocking. I found it to be small on a scale that it left it hard to believe that it would be functional for more than a practice amp. I accepted that the small size could be handy but expectation of sound quality was suddenly diminished. I stand corrected. The sound is excellent. It is definitely more than a curiosity that is smaller than a breadbox. It will put out a substantial amount of volume with a substantial low end range that was a tremendously satisfying surprise. For my modest needs, it far exceeds my expectations. I would like to note, for jazz guitarists I think you'll find this to be a surprisingly versatile and capable tool, not just a toy.Bliss

I bought this amp on a wim and I'm glad I did. I wanted a light weight little tube amp to lug around to play small gigs with. I'm old and I don't like to bring out amps that are just too loud and bulky. After swapping out the tubes a couple of times to find what my ears liked, it just perfect. I'm not going to tell anything about how it sounds because that would not mean anything. We all search for a individual sound that is on YOUR head. I will day this. The amp is a great platform to mold into that sound we all are looking. I purchased 2 of the single 12" cabs. O opted to do this instead of the 2 x 12" because I wanted to keep the weight down for moving it around. The 18 watts is plenty loud enough to cut through and be heard. I like the amp so much that I use it for every show. I can play small to large gigs with no worries. When we play bigger events I just run into the board but still use the cabs for monitors. So I can hear my rig. The days of having to lug a full 100 watt stack are not needed anymore. So all in all this a great little amp and it will satisfy most everyone with a little adjusting. I also love that tube replacement is just plug and play. It will tell you if your tubes need replacing and it's self biasing.worldtrdex

Classic Hughes and Kettner tones in a little monster of an amp! Plugged it into a 12 x 2 cabinet and DAMN! this thing is beautiful to listen to. Clean or over driven, this amp is a pleasure to play guitar on. However when overdriven the nuanced variances between different guitars are not well appreciated. The overdrive is more muddy and less nuanced in my opinion. Comparing different strat styles here with different pick-up combinations. Tele sounds different. Chambered SG style sounded the same as other strat style guitars with humbuckers. Parker and Ibanez S series with infiniti 2 pickups sounded distinctly different. Have not played neodymium pickups on it yet but I'm hoping that will clear up some of the mud.arcticwynd
