The connection to the in-put jack should have been soldered better. one of the connections came loose but it was easy enough to re solder.1300-8

I had it on my car and my voltage was not ass good as i thought it would be. save your self some money and buy some true 0 guage ofc name brand or some good welding cable wire . true. 0 guage ofc. this was a waste of money . cheap wire u get what u pay for. I just ordered 1/0 welding cable instead. Way better quality.honontlui

I was skeptical at first based upon the description but holy crap! This wire thickness is ridiculous. Plan carefully how you route your power lines as this stuff is very big. The amp manufacturer recommended that I upgrade to 0 gauge and I had to ask if he was sure after physically seeing how thick the wire is. Nothing but clean power, virtually no drop offs. The 150 AMP fuse that's included makes this kit purchase a steal! The big box folks want at least $100. This is a very good deal and the quality is way above what I expected. May buy another just to have one hand for my next project.abenessthegreat

Nice thick wire. You can see the silver & brown wire mix. Not copper all the way through, but has more copper than a high quality 4 gauge. Good product for the price. I would definitely buy again for next system install.culverkidd

This is the industry standard jack, used in all Professional level electric guitars and equipment. Made to last out of top materials, and has stood the test of time, since the 1950's. Cheaper imitations are available, but they do not last, and in the long run, you will not save money. Just settle for the best. Fender use them on guitars designed for Professionals.warn6169

First of all most of these acoustic jacks have a cover barrel sleeve that goes over the the connection threaded end to to protect the connection end. This one does not. But it was impossible for me to make the soldered connections. The positive post is real small and the eyelet for the wire is incredibly impossible to push a wire through and then get the solder tip in between the two ground post that sandwich the positive post. On most acoustic output jacks there is just two post a positive and a negative ground post. That is all you need for a mono type connector. You would see 3 post on a stereo type but why would you need 3 on a mono. I metered the two negative post and both of them 0hm 0 to shell which would be your ground post.koomey53

Good quality solid construction, up the job of replacing any guitar output jack. I just replaced one on a 1968 Fender telecaster which had become slack in the bore.timfish4

I used two of these kits when I did my install. My system Is all Skar Audio with the exception of my signal processors, hybrid capacitor and crossover. I'm running two pairs of 5 1/4 Skar Components. 3 EVL 10's with the triple Skar Prefab enclosure. I have the RP-150 running the components and the SKV2-3500 running the 3 EVL 10'S. Using my Infiniti factory head unit wired to my JL Audio Clean Sweep Processors and the signal goes through My Audio Control EQ-x before it passes through the Amps. The OFC kits got the job done right! The only Thing that Skar should also include is a 0 gauge ground distribution block!Thomas M

I ordered this kit with an amp after speaking to someone about the setup in my Jeep. I wanted the marine products as I like to go off-roading and sometimes things get wet. I purchased the marine amp along with this kit and when I took it for installation I was told the kit did not fit that amp. I has to purchase another amp kit. I then sent an email explaining what happened and that actually I needed another amp for subs and wanted to make sure the amp would fit with that kit. I sent that email over a month ago and still have not received a response. So I am now looking for another amp and subs but customer service is just as important to me as the product so I will be looking for it elsewhere and I guess I am just stuck with an amp kit they said would fit.Tomas M

Wires seem way too thin. I have now spent close to a thousand dollars on skar audio equipment. I have purchased two amps. A 400.1 amp with sealed sub in a skar box. 4 sets of RCA's, an equalizer, Two SVR 2ohm 8" subs, RP-1200 mono amp, 1 pair of 200 watt power tweeters, and two 6.5 FSX pro audio speakers. This should have been an awesome system. It was far from it. Now that I have replaced the speakers amp from skar to another brand as well as all speakers including the subs due to a voicecoil going out already on my SVR….. and I honestly wonder if it ever worked, However I do remember checking the sub with an multimeter and it did work. Another major issue with skar is if you buy from amazon, different rules apply for returning and trouble shooting. We all know it is not worth mailing a sub for repair that is incredibly heavy. I also do not know which subs I purchased directly from skaraudio.com or directly from Skaraudios store on eBay or directly from skar., It does matter. Skar, I have spoken to you through email and directly on the on the phone. You are all kind and as you said, I shouldn't be complaining when you all work so hard during the holidays away from your families to deliver to us. I have never received package on time and also had to drive 100 miles to pick up some wiring from FedEx due to me being very close to missing my install. I know shipping is slow but i called FedEx and they did not even receive the items for several days. I am very understanding. but when your website states that there are no shipping delays and yet there are… by several days, I am beginning to get the vibe of desperation. I need to rate at least 3 stars to help my fellow brothers and sisters. They will not put up a two star or one. Hence the perfect reviews. Not even some of the best brands in the world are capable of satisfying everyone. Thanks so much. This part is a must for those cheap amps Fender uses these on. Perfect replacement as long as it has the 9 pins. Won't get +50 years like the solid old Switchcraft jacks that use to be in the old fenders but definitely will get the old solid state back up and running. Thanks!drumr69

These are a perfect fit for many Fender amps from 1988 through to 1999. I used these to replace borken jacks on a friends 99 Princeton Chorus and his 97 Blues Blues Deville. Both those amps take this 9-pin type and the 3-pin type. Check the schematic to make sure you order the correct one for the jack you are replacing.Tracyohus

This is the only jack I'll use simply because of it's reliability. Put one in and you probably will never have to replace it. The gold color is simply cosmetic, so I got it to match the other hardware on the guitar…..Little things make all the difference.57hamergtr

I have a Roland Cube 30X that I use constantly-I bought it for practice but I now use it for club gigs, its lightweight and has great effects with nice amp simulations as well. Recently the input jack was broken and after trying a standard mono or stereo jack I found that when I used a volume pedal I couldn't use the volume pedal-it was either full volume or no volume. The 4-Pin Stereo, PC Mount Stereo jack from Antique Electronic Supply saved the day, after an easily installed jack was installed my amp is now performing like new. Thanks a lot, TonyTony
