1. Blackstar Fly103 Extension Cabinet
Product Details:
Reviews:
I bought the single speaker unit after being unhappy with a Fender micro and the GC manager recommended the Blackstar. Home run. I was so pleased with it, I also bought a Blackstar bass micro amp with the extension speaker. Both are superb. My primary use for this guitar amp is for when I go cruising and/or when I know I'm going to perform with acoustic players. This micro amp fits into a day pack along with my laptop and Steinberger Spirit guitar (which I love, also from GC). The flexibility of battery or AC power is wonderful. The sound for such a small unit is superb. Night before last I played my UBass with the Blackstar micro bass amp & extension speaker at a uke (two of which were amplified) jam and my bass was plenty loud enough. Can this amp keep up with big amps? Of course not. But it's perfect for certain situations … and that's why I have a collection of various guitars, basses and amps.Bill C.
Bought this as my music room is rather small and I didn't want a great big beast of a thing taking up too much room. This kit is exactly what I was looking for. It has everything I need and the nice touch with the reverb delay and distortion is a bonus. I was impressed at how loud the system is for such a small item. I run it alongside a RC300, 4 pedals and Tascam 8 track digital recIorder outputted to Techics amp with Denon speakers. I feel I'm neglecting the wife🙄, I just unplug from the mains, pick it up and wonder into the front room and serenade her ….brownie points for me 😁 I do agree with another post about no being equipped with a carry handle or even better a couple of d clips on the side where you can attach a strap and sling it over your shoulder and off you go. As a bundle it's a no brained on price. Great product and at an affordable price..Great service from PMT. Had a few items off these guys had a slight one time problem with packaging but the guys sorted it really quickMike
Bought this for quiet playing both at home and in my camping van. So needed to be battery powered and small. The sound quality was only secondary. But as with all other reviewers, I found that this thing sounds awesome. Just yesterday, I miked it up and recorded it for a part in my current song. I'm using it mostly with a Strat, and it is quite a dark tone. Not like a Fender style amp. The IMF control can brighten that a bit – however the sound of the amp is pretty fixed. But it is a good sound. The delay is awesome for ambience. I live in a small flat, and in the past, unless recording, I would always just play unplugged. But now I always grab this little thing and plug it in. Far more inspiring. I'm yet to need the 2nd speaker. But the power supply is useful. PMT also did the best price online. Thanks.B M.

If you have a Super Fly amp, you really need the ACT cabinet to get the best sound out of it. Doubles the wattage and the coverage, and used together you have a nice little battery-powered mini PA for outdoor performances. Add the Blackstar PB-1 battery pack and you can get over 7 hours of playing time. The cabinet is a must have to bring out the best from the Super Fly.Ty W
When I saw this item on the Daily Pick I quickly looked at the pictures shown for this item which showed it had a microphone and guitar input. I thought I was getting what was pictured but that was not the case. This is just the extension speaker. There really is no mic or guitar input. I returned it because it was not what I expected. Rated it just one star because the pictures were misleading.Ray

Reviews:
Well of course this is the companion to the Amplifier itself so in terms of sound quality etc. is the same as its 'other half'. What I liked about this was that it had the cable and a goodly length of cable on the back wound in a very expert way in a moulded facility just for that. You have to remember that they use RJ45 as the plug and socket. Every bit as robust as the other half and of course powered by the batteries in the Amp. It's very useful to use pointing the Amp towards a listener and the other half towards you thus using it as a monitor though of course the point is stereo. The build quality is superb and I like the little sticker that went with it and a set of instructions which assumed you had the amp because obviously without the amp you have nothing to plug it into!Steven
Got this to complete the set. The cord attachment, with an end that looks like a phone jack, wraps around in its own groove built into the back of the speaker. The cord is about 3' long. It does NOT produce a stereo effect for guitar but it does for MP3/Aux inputs. It really has no other adjustments. I like the fact that I can use this for my guitar (along with the Fly as this part is not a standalone) or I can use it for other things like MP3 or amplifying my computer. I have the AC (see review there – highly recommended) but it can also just run on batteries (the Fly that is, this extension needs no additional power source).Brazil Bill
I usually prefer all tube amps, but since I bought my Fly that's changed. This amp has GREAT tone! I have been using it at church mic'd through the P.A. and it sounds as good as any of my tube amps. I mic it so I can use it as a monitor. I don't even need any pedals. The delay, gain channel, and infinite tone control let me dial in just the tone I love. The only improvement I would add would be a switch on the line out/headphone Jack, so you can keep the speaker on when plugged in directly. Great battery life as well! All in all, this is much more than I expected, and more than just a great sounding practice amp. A great value too at just 60 bucks. I ended up buying the extension speaker and power supply as well, so I suggest the package deal of all three.mcwljwmichael

Reviews:
Great speaker cab for the price point and sounds better than expected although a bit to echoey for some perhaps. Would have been nice if there was a removable panel on the back as opposed to a sealed closed back bit for the price I can't really complain and would still recommend this unit.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
This is the best 12" cabinet you can buy at this price range. It's well built, looks good and sounds ok, but the first thing I did after playing it a couple of times is change the speaker to get the sound I was looking for. This cabinet comes with an un-branded, completely un-marked 12" speaker. It isn't marked as a Blue Marvel speaker as advertised. I suspected that would be the case when I bought it. The cabinet alone is worth the price, so that's why i bought it.jim7699
I realize some people complain about the Blue Marvel speaker it comes with, but it really sounds great with the cabinet. I play mostly small clubs, I use 2 of these with a Peavey head and works great. Tough, great value and does the job perfectly. Zero complaints. It's a Peavey. Good enough for me. There are better ones out there, but the differences are negligible. I'd be hard pressed to find someone in the audience who would say "but it's not loaded with a higher priced driver". That pretty much never happens in that environment. The amp produces some great sounds and this cabinet accurately does it's job. Why pay the extra $100 bucks for what only gear snobs say is better. You won't hear much difference and this thing simply rocks!iluvnicki3

Reviews:
I bought this cabinet with the intention of beefing up my Hot Rod deluxe which it did. The combination of closed back from this cabinet and the open back of the deluxe resulted in a much more richer sound not to mention that at 4 ohms with the cabinet the amp seems to be more responsive to my playing. It also looks cool sitting under the Hot Rod Deluxe III. It not only sounds great with the Hot Rod but with my 30 watt PRS amp head, a Quilter 200 and boy was I surprised when I plugged in my Mesa Mark IV. Awesome little cabinet for the money. Thank you American Musical Supply.Carlos Perez professional musici
This was bought to add an extension cabinet to my mesa boogie nomad 100. My nomad was a single 12 speaker with an open back cab and needed a little more bass. the sealed fender cabinet was the exact same dimensions and fits nicely under the boogie. Sound was as I expected, bass increase as well as a tight sound from the closed back cabinet. Also raised the nomad to a better overall height. Very happy with my purchase. I did not give it 5 stars for several reasons. 1) made in Mexico which I expected for the price but that is the problem! Speaker jack fell out of the back of the cabinet when I removed the cable. Compared to yesteryear and I have owned a lot of fender equipment construction was much better. To repair the speaker jack and not go through returning the cabinet I opened the back to see what holds the jack in place. Half the screws used to seal the back of the cabinet were to short and already stripped out. There were two different length screws used and none were long enough to do the job properly! They were #6 wood screws so a trip to Lowes for proper hardware about 8 duckets worth of new fasteners (went to #8 wood screws and new finishing washers) took care of the problem. The jack is another issue that will require a large fender washer and a new jack with longer threads. about 6 duckets in hardware to repair properly. The strips of wood that hold the back on are only pressed wood and one side was spilt open from not predrilling holes and forcing the screws to create there own holes when installed. This is a time saver at the factory but poor practice in my opinion! The front baffle that holds the speaker in place was held in with 6 bolts, nuts and washers. All were loose and if I did not retighten these the vibration from the speaker would have caused these all to come apart! So over all construction was less then stellar and about what I expected for the price. Still final quality checks should have caught all of this on the assembly line.Strat Blaster
I bought this to go with a Tone King Gremlin head. I figured a fender speaker would pair well with a fender clone amp. The enclosure is quite nice. The speaker however is not. I did read the poor reviews the celestion 70/80 gets online, they are spot on. This speaker is so shrill I felt like my ears were going to bleed. It has a pronounced mid scoop. Instead of returning I decided I like the fender box enough ( and the reasonable price compared to others ) and bought a different speaker. After swapping the 70/80 with a Eminence Cannabis rex, it really sounds great.Josh B

Reviews:
When I was researching for a good tube amp, I loved what I read and heard about this amp on YouTube and review sites. It was everything I wanted: excellent tone, quiet enough for home but enough punch to gig with, and prdal friendly. However, there was one glaring review that jumped out at me: several people reported recieving an amp that wouldn't work out of the box. But it was only a few people, right? Coincidence maybe. Allow me to introduce myself. My name us Mark and if anything bad can possibly happen, it'll happen to me. When the amp arrived it was a late day from work and i only had time to unpack and visually inspect. Everything looked good and I placed it among my gear. But when the weekend rolled around, I plugged it in and nada. Lights came on, but not a single sound from the amp. I reviewed the manual and checked the fuse but we were dead in the water. This is the point where you write a bad review, correct? Well, I contacted Musicians Friend and they went above and beyond to help me send the amp back at no cost and had a replacement on the way immediately. When it arrived I have to admit that I was pretty nervous opening it and plugging it up. But with the first notes played, I was elated. The amp was everything as advertised, and sounds amazing. I'll never know for sure what was wrong with the original amp but tubes can be a fickle thing when being shipped. My story was an adventure, but it has a happy ending. I 100% recommend the amp and if not for the original hiccup, my review would be 5 stars. Thanks again to Musicians Friend for their support.Mark K
These are my initial impressions and I've been playing for fun for about 25 years, but haven't played electric guitar for about 7 years mainly because my Gibson goldtone head and cab are just so loud that I preferred playing acoustic guitar. I finally decided I needed a usable amp and first got a positive grid spark. That's still an impressive amp, but it got me really wanting a great tube amp that was more appropriate for my situation. I looked at boutique amps and really liked some black star stuff, blues Jr, and several others. A buddy who had gone through similar struggles, but actually bought some amps and used them and with my experiments with the modeling amp as much as I could and my experience back when I was in bands and playing around with a bunch of different setups, decided to go with the bassbreaker. Wow. It's so versatile and so easy to get good tones from. I was honestly thinking of swapping speakers or something else but I can just simply get so many great tones. It really reminds me a lot of most tweed amps, some Marshall amps, some mesa amps and a bit of the reverbs and the bassmans (I haven't played these in a long time though). It doesn't mimic my Gibson Goldtone with 1×12 and 1×15, but at this point I don't care and actually found that I don't really want to emulate that amp. I will admit I didn't use that cab with this combo nor have I done any recording with it. I know this is all completely subjective garbage, but that's mostly the nuances we face in music. Go play it in person or trust me that it's got a great versatility for maybe a gritty jazz guy to metal recording (most metal guitarists use more gain and fuzz than make it to a recording).Joe R
After trying many different amps in this price range I found this one used. I was instantly impressed by the tone. The updated tolex, knobs, and speaker cloth were a definite improvement visually. Mine came with a greenback speaker. Swapped it for a g12H30 and sounded even better. Left it on over night by accident one evening and experienced the redplate issue others have reported. The way the amp head is designed makes it virtually unserviceable. Several circuit boards crammed into a tiny space. The back plate is wired into these boards. Some tech's won't even touch it. Check youtube. Even using today's technology Leo Fender would have never designed it this way. Fender corporation is a disgrace!Chuck

9. Monoprice 1×12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet With Celestion Vintage 30 – Stage Right
Product Details:
Loaded with an industry standard celestion vintage 30 speaker, the stage right 1×12 guitar speaker cabinet is the perfect match to our stage right 30-watt tube guitar amplifier head. featuring an open back, leather handle, and a rugged textured exterior, our extension cab resembles models two or three times the price. the celestion vintage 30 guitar speaker features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, and a famously rich vocal-like mid-range. its sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including slash, steve stevens, and peter frampton.
Reviews:
Incredibly well made. Vintage 30 speaker is a bargain in this cab. Cannot beat the price. And the cab was shipped in double boxes, with double corrugated cardboard each, quite bulletproof packaging! Monoprice cannot be making much money on this cab, it would cost a lot more to make one yourself!Bob M
This cabinet and speaker sound fantastic! It looks nice and is a SUPERB value for what you're getting. I would buy this again in a heartbeat and I'm actually buying a second one for a different ohm speaker. Shipping was fast and it was packed very well. Also comes with a really good quality speaker cable. Remember, you don't want to use a regular guitar cable for speaker cables. If you're thinking about getting one just get it already.MusicMan
This is the best deal you will find for an extended speaker cab of this quality hands down! The Vintage 30 speaker on its own is nearly $150 at most places, making the cabinet so cheap for this unit that you cannot even build your own for less money. The cabinet is gig worthy and is wired for a parallel speaker extension…however the soft vinyl covering, which looks nice, could possibly damage easy over time (*one and only complaint). I am extremely happy with the build quality and the sound of this 12" speaker with the open back cab perfectly fills out a missing niche in my speaker stack. At this price point you will not find a better value anywhere. Highly recommended!Stephen

Reviews:
Overall: zZounds and I go way back. Ok, just so you know. 4 Orange PPC 2×12, Orange PPC 4×12, Marshall 1960AX, Marshall SJ 4×12 slant. So…eVh 5150 III 4×12 cab smokes them all. I liked the first one so much, I got right back on the horn and ordered a second one. Driven by my eVh 5150 III 50w head, the pair just sounds incredible and MASSIVE. My chase for tone is over. You owe it to yourself to check these out. Made in England Celestion Heritage G12Ms. Bloody Fantastic!!!Paul
Overall: I didn't really thnik I needed this box, because I have to Marshall cabs loaded with Celestion G12H Heritages. But somehow they have never really wowed me, to my disappointment. I just chalked it up to my so-so guitar playing and moved on. But after buying this cabinet I was immediately impressed. The tone I've always wanted was there. And lots of bottom end. For the first time IN MY LIFE, I do not have to dime the bass and resonance controls on my amp, even at low volume. There's plenty of wump down low. That's the whole point of living with 4×12 cabinets, to me! The first time I played through this box, I immediately smiled at myself as I realized I had found a sound I loved. The right balance of crunchy, chewy midrange, just enough top-end bite, and good, chugging bottom end. The cone breakup was perfect – the tone comes out sweet and compressed and it was actually the first time I really had fun playing in a long time. I'll pay $999 for that. Going to order another as soon as this one's paid off. Because, you know, have a full stack or go home, right? Haha.I couldn't really rate the "Manufacturer Support" Because I haven't needed any yet. But the thing is heavier than my Marshalls and seems built to last.Brian
Don't let this cab, or at least the speakers get by you while they're still manufacturing them. Eddie fan or not, he clearly did the tone chasing here for most of us. If your not into signature model stuff, you still owe it to yourself to hear one, otherwise you might be kicking yourself someday. I have a feeling people will be hoarding these speakers someday and exploiting them on Ebay..No doubt it pairs well with the matching head, but wow it delivers pure Marshall bliss far better than the standard 1960a. Features? It's a speaker cabinet…JK…Low wattage speakers, so hence no wiring for stereo or you'd blow the thing. Sharp looking and solid! Possibly the heaviest cab I have. But the magic here comes from the UK made EVH custom blackbacks. I bought it to match the 5150 iii head, as well as hopefully sound good with my Marshall JVM410, DSL100, and JCM800. Afraid I might be just buying eye candy as I already have a Marshall 1960a with standard celestions and an oversized mesa recto cab with V30s. Also was very afraid I wouldn't like it as much the mesa….all I can say is this the best cab I've heard period. It makes the Marshall's sound like Marshalls more the Marshall Cab.. It delivers all the fury of my high gain heads without giving up suprisingly..was amazed considering its loaded with 4×20 watters. I think I detected more speaker breakup out of my higher rated celestions. It arguably had the best bass response of all 3 cabs, even though its not oversized or high watt. Just sounds great pure and simple. Probably load these speakers into my Marshall cab. Don't be fooled if your afraid these lower watt blackbacks won't deliver crushing tone and volume and bass, cause they do…better than their bigger brothers in my opinion. They seem to have the unique ability to reproduce all the things we like about our high gain heads (tight strong bass, smooth midrange, and nice crunch and sparkle) without passing along the harshness and fizzyness that some cabs do. Solid as a rock…no visible defects..well packed. Removable Casters!! Got a great deal on a new one, but more than fairly priced with the competition at regular price. The competition might be built in the US and UK, but they have Chinese Celestions…This cab is Fender Mexico, but UK Celestions…So if that sort of thing matters to you would your rather the cab or the speakers be outsourced? Personally don't think it matters though.

It's just a really decent rock or blues tone that inspires me to pick up my guitar and play more. Keep it on my desk when I'm working. Just plug in and go. Sounds really big for its size. I really freaked out when I saw how small it was in person. Plugged it in and then was like "Whoa, dude!" Look this amp won't solve world hunger but they got tone out of a 3" speaker. I don't care how or why. Bottom line is I play more because I have this amp and whenever that happens with any gear it feels like magic.Listens to Voices

Sound: I’m very happy with the sound quality. It may not sound identical to the original speakers modeled but honestly I don’t have that good of an ear to know the difference. I do know my high gain and crunch patches with the Vintage or Green sound just like I want, and for clean-ish tones the Essex with a Vox amp does the job quite nicely. Whether it has the mythical “amp in the room” sound or not is going to be up to each user’s own ears. I will say it sounds more organic and amp-like than any FRFR I’ve used and leave it at that. Features: This has so many features it’s hard to list what I find most useful. Physical features like being fairly lightweight and having tiltback legs are certainly helpful to an old guy like me. The tiltback seems extreme but it works well and I don’t feel the need for an amp stand. MIDI or L6 link to remotely change cabinets with each patch is great, and with the L6 link it can easily be done within each patch. I also like that the L6 link runs audio and data. Why use 2 cables when you can to it all with one? The ability to use it as a standard FRFR to run IR is another cool feature and I like that if I need to I can go direct to FOH via through the PC+ and use a separate IR to FOH and speaker modeling in the cab. Lastly, this can be used with any modeler. You can send MIDI messages via standard 5 pin MIDI cable to change speakers and IR within patches from just about any modeling product. If something ever trumps the Helix, I’ll still have a great cab to pair it with. Ease of Use: It’s incredibly easy to get good sounds. Turn the knob on the top until you get a speaker you like. The speaker modeling sounds great. I’ve dabbled with some of the IR’s and they sound great too. Some folks have complained that it doesn’t have enough volume but that’s not been the case with me. You will need to make sure the output levels on your modeler are properly set to get the most volume and avoid clipping. If you aren’t familiar with how to do this, I would suggest checking out YouTube videos by Jason Sadites or Steve Sterlacci on how to properly set patch levels. It’s super easy and mostly common sense, but something a lot of folks overlook. And don’t forget to include your solo boosts when setting levels!! Quality: By all appearances it seems very well built and sturdy and has a quality feel. I know there are people using these on the road and that also says a lot about the build quality. It’s been tossed in and out of my trunk a few times now with minimal wear and tear showing. It would be nice if it was made of birch and covered with Tolex, but that would only add to the cost and weight. As it is the box is solid. Value: At first glance $799 seems expensive for a 1×12 cab. However, when you consider what it can do that others can’t and then compare it to other 1×12 FRFR that are $1,000 and up it starts becoming a better and better value. If you don’t need MIDI or remote speaker switching, then there’s also the standard Powercab that’s a couple hundred less. Sounds the same just not as many features. Manufacturer Support: Over the years I’ve purchased quite a bit of Line6 gear and they have always provided me with great support. They have a very good user forum with plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people and Line6 also has reps in some of the larger gear forums. Line6 has a good history of product updates as well. The PC+ has already received an update with some additional features and I expect they will continue to update as needed. They seem to do a pretty good job of listening to their customers when it comes to requesting features etc. The Wow Factor: Speaker modeling, FRFR, and IR all in one cab that sounds really good. That’s pretty wow to me! I think this will appeal to players like myself who use modeling and are looking for the best sound without a lot of fussing, or just plain don’t like the sound of an FRFR as much as a normal amp and cab. Overall: I just went back to Helix after using Mesa MKV and Friedman JJ amps. The band doesn’t play a lot of gigs that require miking up the guitars or using direct FOH, so the speaker I chose had to sound great on its own and not just something to monitor myself with. The last time I went down the FRFR road it didn’t work out very well. I know it’s not the boxes it’s me, but regardless I got tired of constantly trying to find the right IR or thinking I found one that sounded good at home only to have it sound like crap at band volume yada yada. When I was researching speakers for the Helix I heard a lot of great things about the Powercab so I thought I’d give it a shot. The speaker modeling is somewhat unique, and I thought it might be the shorter path to better tone for me. It arrived 2 days after I ordered and the set up was very easy. I had already decided to use L6 link instead of XLR because I wanted to remotely control the cab via the Helix and not have to set up MIDI. Out of the box it was still on an old software version and needAllan
Everything I expected from Line 6. This Power Cab Plus 112 is blowing my mind right now. I usually never go with solid state amps. I've been playing through Fender Deluxe Reverbs, Hot Rod Deluxe' and my latest Fender Princeton Reverb. These are for sure amazing go to amps. However, to my ears, with the HELIX LT that I play through, I'm getting similar tones and even more using the built-in speaker models that come with stock with the Power Cab Plus 112. I've never had this much versatility in a rig before. I love it. I also use the genuine Line 6 L6 Link cable (witch is just a good quality AES/EBU cable) connected between my HELIX LT and the Power Cab Plus 112 so that I can change speaker models on the fly with my presets. I really can't ask for more. Simple, light weight, professional sounding tones, all at my toe tips. This is good times for sure.FELIX
I had high hopes, when I saw that Line 6 was offering powered speaker cabs, I thought wow ! Like the Tech 21 Power Engine but better !!!! Wrong… I sold my pair of Tech 21 Power Engines when I purchased a pair of these cabs… wrong move. I unpacked the Power Cabs and thought .. BEAUTIFUL !!! Sturdy, stylish… when I plugged in my HELIX…. I literally could not get a usable sound out of it, I fiddled for hours. After a few days of fiddling with new presets I was able to get a decent basic sound so I thought I was golden. I took it out for on gig doing a outdoor surf meet event… OUCH ! Fizzy, treble ridden, buzz saw city. I could not even get a decent volume from it, the tone because it was so "HIFI" was so buried in the mix I could barely hear myself. Besides the lack of volume, I could not believe the absolute atrocious tone I was getting(think BUZZSAW). This is not a good match for a helix or any floor processors or modelers. I regret getting rid of my Tech 21's they were a tad noisy but they sounded 100% better than these. I keep hearing and seeing the reviews for the Plus version, but seems odd that for something that is supposed to simply amplify the sound you get from your Helix would do such a poor job. WIth the covers and the shipping I paid mucho dinero so saying I am unhappy is an understatement. I've been told with tweaking you can get the cab to sound good, I've spent hours doing this. I don't think its possible. Avoid this… I have been using my cabs as vocal monitors, just because I would get smashed if I tried to sell them. I've used this for one gig, maybe 6 times at rehearsal, sadly they are horrible, giving it 2 stars is quite generous….Guitar Kahuna

The powercab 212 is an excellent amplifier choice for those who use modelers or digital effects processors and pairs especially well with the line 6 helix and headrush pedalboards. this amp has a few very small superficial nicks but is in excellent condition otherwise. the reason i'm selling this amp is to fund other projects, i've really enjoyed having this line 6 and would love to see her go to a good home! i'm happy to provide any additional information upon request. thanks!

I have always wanted a stereo amp but they were crazy heavy and expensive. After getting my HX Stomp I had to have a stereo amp so I figured why not keep it in the fmaily? This amp is great for my aoustic and my electric guitars. The stereo effect is HUGE. I have a room full of classic amps but I'm starting to wonder why when the PC 212 can sound like all of the…times 2! Also, I don't have to worry about tubes. If you want a big sound this is it. It is a little large but I can carry it one handed and I'm not a kid. I love this thing.BillyHell
I really wanted to love this cab. All the reviews are stellar but yet the forums have rumblings of some folks complaining that they sound like they have a blanket over them. Unfortunately I now fall into the latter category. This cab is inherently dark and has no "air" even with a post amp EQ. I've been using modeling since the POD Bean so I know how to achieve a good tone with them, but for some reason this one isn't letting me. Perhaps I just got a dud. I may just get another Laney FR112 and use them for stereo. For the positives, the cab is sturdy and the enhanced stereo imaging is really cool. I don't know how useful it would be live, but it does a great job. It's also plenty loud enough to keep up with just about any drummer/bass player. I love Line6 and will continue to support and buy their products, but this one just isn't for me.AJB

Reviews:
I have one of these and the thing is tough that's for sure. I've had this particular one for about 6 yrs or so and Its been all over the place. You can really dial in some great tones with it. The classic line 6 tones are top notch in these pre-usb era models, true grit , smooth, and triply if you're into the acid rock type. Plus if you like earlier Metal this was the amp most young musicians were playing in the late 90's. I kind of prefer it over a lot of other amps strung about that may be because I am familiar with it though I think its because it reminds me of that time era and the sound is comforting . Really, I guess it depends on what you are using it for. Its quick and versatile. But… It is what it is and it will never be a Marshal JCM or one of the Fender Classics there is no substitute for them and they're not trying to be, but its a great intermediate-pro model and for $100 you cant beat these second edition Spiders. Rock on man!!juice_3311
