Reviews:
I just completed my Mod 102 kit. An excellent experience! I was delighted with the quality of components, clarity of instructions, and, perhaps most importantly, the sound of the amp. It is very loud – currently running into my Fender Twin Reverb cab (2×12) and very sweet! I will be running it into a new 1×12 cab with a new Celestion G12 M Heritage 'Greenback' when I get a case for the speaker (on order). My only criticism (and something to look out for) is that the chassis is very nicely painted in gray gunmetal paint. Even following the directions to file all the holes, it is very hard to get a good ground connection at every point a terminal strip connects. I worried about this, and about 1/3rd of the way through the build, took an ohm meter to check all the connections, and as I had suspected, some of the connections were not great (9-10 ohms or so!) So I removed the terminal strips (with the components I had already soldered still attached) and scraped away the paint under the tabs of the strips to ensure a good connection. Re-testing showed virtually zero resistance. I'd strongly recommend scraping the paint away at all holes under the chassis before getting started on the build. Even better, suggest that Amplified Parts leave the inside chassis unpainted (at least around the important holes). Aside that one criticism, I am delighted with the kit and with Amplified Parts. Everything was delivered promptly and they are a class outift. I'll probably try some of their other kits soon.vpmerlyn
I spent three evenings building the MOD102. The instructions are very easy to understand and the amp has a great Fender sound. I had one grounding issue that was easily fixed with a little help from tech support, which was excellent. If you're good at following step by step instructions and can solder well this is a fun little amp to build. Only small issue is the labels. They could stand an improvement.Brandon
I just finished this amp build and it sounds fantastic! I also just finished a Marshall 18 Watt clone and I have to say that the Mod102+ holds its own very nicely alongside the Marshall. In fact, I will probably use the Mod102+ for recording because it sounds amazing at lower volumes (the Marshall is loud AF). Honestly, if I were only going to build one of them today, it would be the Mod. I'm blown away by the tone! Great kit with excellent instructions. Great bang for the buck. The parts all seem to be top quality. I love the old style cloth solid core wire, too. I find it much easier to work with than modern stranded wire. The labels are a bit lame but I covered them with packing tape as suggested before cutting them out and they look fine. If you're thinking about building an amp, build this one.danjbeckett

Specifications:

Reviews:
This cabinet has a Celestion Vintage 30; a speaker which produces powerful and articulate overdrive tones. In my opinion, the cleans from this speaker are good but not great; its darker than a Creamback with less sparkle. The cabinet itself is very small and light, and is perfect for low-wattage heads and home recording. If you want balanced modern overdrive tones, this cab is just right.TeddyWilson222
I purchased the Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 18 Twelve combo, I got a fantastic deal on it used. It arrived and looks and performs like a new amp. Extremely loud for 18 watts, the blue backlight looks awesome and the sound from this is pure tube joy!! The Redbox Output is very handy for recording and running direct to the board. These with the 12" speaker are getting rare and hard to find. If you can find one do yourself a favor and buy it, you'll love all 18 watts of its warm overdriven tube saturation!kyjones64

Reviews:
I bought this speaker cabinet to complete a stack (of sorts). I bought a Peavey 50 watt amp that has 4 X 10 inch speakers in its cabinet. I like the classic look, but I like the versatility of the amp. An alternate version of this amp has a 2 X 12 inch speaker option. So, I thought that this cabinet with its 2 X 12 inch Celestion speakers could be an alternative speaker set up, when the 4 X 10 inch set up was disconnected and it is plugged into the output. The is also an extension speaker output with this amp, so both sets of speakers can be connected to the amp at the same time, if desired. So, this is suppose to be about this speaker cabinet, and the bottom line is that it is a good overall unit, and has a classic vibe with the tweed exterior covering. I was more interested in the speakers that were in this unit, which happen to be Celestions. They work well with the amp. I think that it depends on the venue as to how to set the amp and speakers up. The other thing that I should mention is that the 2 X 12 speaker cabinet can be separated from the combo amp and there can be a broader sound spectrum. I will say that I was a bit concerned about the unit being made in Vietnam, but, the quality control is very good and the unit will be around for several years.Noone
Mostly using this for studio applications. It comes standard with one g12 t75 and a vintage 30. I've been using a fathead and a 57 on each speaker. 4 mics on that cab literally sounds like I have two different cabs in the other room and they sound awesome. Very happy with this peavey 212c!!!Babbylon Soumd
Overall: Great cab from peavey, the speakers pair up great together. The tone is awesome. It's not too heavy, works great with my JSX head. Overall Build quality, grill and covering are very good. It also has a removable back Wow!!! A great product from Peavey with some of the best speakers on the market.Johnny

For between 500-700 bucks, you get authentic Brit speakers, baltic birch shell and a selectable impedance switch. First, let me say I'm not sure why people freak out about this cabinet. This is a great speaker cabinet. I own the Triamp Mark 3 and was using the old CC 412 A30 with vintage 30s. The Rockdriver is a really cool but different speaker. I think it's made by H&K. They are more aggressive, focused and crisper. It's the best cab I've used to date to handle loud volume and heavy chugging. If you're unsure about it I don't blame you since it's a lot of money. I've attached a video I did comparing V30s and the Rockdrivers.M.Magoon
12. Randall Rg8 Guitar Speaker Cabinet

Product Details:
Reviews:
Bought this to pair with my Orange Micro Terror and Micro Dark. I did a lot of research before buying this and I had high expectations based on what i read and heard. I am actually blown away by the quality and sound of this. These little amps can get pretty loud and this cab takes it and can be pushed even more. It has a surprisingly round full sound, doesn’t get fizzy when the gain is cranked. I definitively recommend this, especially if pairing with one of those little Orange Micros. They sound great running through it and they fit perfectly on top.BDub
I paired this up with a Vox BC108 cabinet for a full range sound spectrum and 50watts at 4ohms capacity into a Quilter Interblock 45watt amp. The sound is nothing short of magnificent! warm, deep, rich bass to nice, tight, clear highs that sound like angelic voices. You would not believe the sound was coming from two 8" speaker cabinets. Pair this with a few favorite pedals once in a while and I can practice guitar, 4 string Bass and acoustic guitar all with one rig and very minimal space taken up I my bedroom. Musicians Friend sells all of them at great prices and fast shipping!ksgtrpkr

Reviews:
I got this as a Christmas gift. I never built an amp before but I do have good solder experience and general electrical knowledge. The amp worked perfectly on the first build. After following all the testing procedures I plugged in and it worked perfectly. I am extremely pleased with the sound quality. I have owned 2 other tube amps and neither sounded this good. It is surprising how low the noise is and how great it sounds. The other interesting thing is the pedals I have sound better in front of this amp versus any amp I have ever used them on. My tube screamer pedal sounds amazing in front of this amp. The gain is all there with less noise and better voicing. I have no idea why that is but I could not be happier.
I recently completed the British 18W head kit from Tube Depot, and can't say enough good things about it! From start to finish, the kit exceeded my expectations. Ordering, shipping, and customer service were top-notch. No issues with components. The instructions and documentation were amazing, worth their weight in gold. The end result was an amplifier that sounds incredible! I incorporated a few of the suggested options- PPIMV, Tremolo HI/LO sw., Tube/SS Rectifier sw., and choke. The sound is amazing, I'm finding it very difficult turning the amp off- once I start playing through the amp I don't want to stop. I would absolutely recommend Tube Depot for anyone interested in building a guitar amplifier. The clear, well-written instructions really made this an enjoyable project. This was my first amplifier build, and I had no issues thanks to the great documentation.Dave R
I ordered this kit with a mod to use KT 66 power tubes. The changes were easy to make and it sounds fantastic. The classic JTM 45 tone at a manageable volume level with the master volume control. Just to test it out I've used a power soak and the tone is exactly the same using the master volume. A couple of real nice features of the design are the negative feedback switch and the ability to switch between solid state and tube ratification (the tube sounds better to my ears). Great product!Clint

Reviews:
I used this cab with many different heads but mainly bought it to match my Blackstar HT-100 head. Bought this from musicians friend a couple years back. Looking back I wouldn't buy this again. At first glance its a good cab. Now that I have some use into it, i see it is made out of particle board not plywood. I was able to screw one of the wheels i bought right through the wood when i was just trying to mark it to see where to cut the excess off…lol. The speakers that come stalk in this are Celetion Seventy 80s… they are decent but for for the money you can buy an Avatar custom cabinet for 629… 30$ more and get it loaded with Vintage 30s. Only buy this cab if you are specifically wanting a matching cabinet. there is better options in the same price range out there.Steve
Overall: And to think I almost bought a marshall 4×12 cab. Instead i decided to go with blackstar from zZsounds. Glad I did! Turning my master volume to 1/3 I can feel the sound in my chest. Im using the blackstar ht stage 100 head. I have had it hooked to a marshall 1960B cab. It didnt sound near as good as it does now. Using the blackstar cab with the higher wattage celestions made all the difference in the sound and loudness of the amp. A very noticeable difference. The marshall cabs didnt resonate as well, and couldnt handle near the volume on thos amp head. The marshall cabs sounded a bit muddy on the low end at high volume levels. The blackstar cabs are great! And worth every penny above the marshall cabs!Clell

So I bought this guy to run under my helix stomp, and holy crap. Just….holy crap. It's huge, it's adjustable, they're stackable, and they just sound nice and rich. It keeps up with a band, it does love well, and it's just a great sound overall. For the money, this thing is very, very good.Steve P.

Reviews:
Plug and play V30 speaker cab. Sounds great! Can't wait to break it in, but I'm loving it already. I'm thinking about getting a second one for stereo. Really is the cheapest (in a good way) V30 speaker cab on MF without sales or discounts. Very well built, this should last me the rest of my life I'm hoping.TripleS77
This is a very good 1×12 cab. You can't go wrong with a V30, and it songs great in this cab. The porting makes for a bigger low end than say my mesa 1×12, but not quite a defined as the mesa but still plenty good. Pairing this with the Mesa makes for a great combo, as this provides the low end the Mesa lacks. The cab looks great, and has help up respectable after 4-5 gigs with it. I have two small tolex tears that i repaired – not indestructible, but not really cheap or falling apart either. This cab has sounded great at gigs, my sound really cuts through since i've been using it in addition to a 2×12. I like the fact that it's angled behind the grill, so you still get a full size cab even though it's angled.
Its a well-built cab with a tilt-back speaker housing a Vintage 30. Very happy with this cabinet.tz5150

Reviews:
I have this cabinet. It has Stephens V-30s in it. NOT Greenbacks as described. Which is even better (in my opinion)..Peavey fan
I just bought one of these at a local shop. Hands down the best speaker cabinet Peavey has ever made for guitar. It really brought my amp alive! Most of Peavey's cabinets always seemed dark to me, but this is really present and has a great range. The speakers give a real 3D element to the sound, almost like you can reach through the speaker cabinet! You will love this box!Soupy

Reviews:
Blackstar make great kit – Ideally they need some smaller more powerfull kit in the HT range though – The HT5 is too small to gig and the HT20 as a combo could really do with being lighter and smaller. An HT15 about the size of a Blues Junior would be ideal.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
