You might think that these headphones are quiet, but I owned a pair of Logitech G230 headphones and while seemingly 'louder', these headphones are much better quality. Excellent frequency response. Most headphones in this range are 20Hz-20KHz but I felt like they introduced a lot of extra 'noise' that wasn't part of the sound you were meant to be hearing. These don't do that, bass is great and so is your high end. Comfortable and great value for money. You don't need a 'gaming' headset to have great sound.RaffGreySabre

After checking online, I decided to purchase the Sony MDR-RF895RK RF Wireless Headphones…they seemed like a great choice for listening to Music, Youtube Videos, and TV from my PC… They are very easy to setup and use, features are great, the distance is fantastic, and the battery lasts a long time. Unfortunately, thats where the good stops and the bad starts They make creaking noises when wearing, so smiling, laughing, or moving your jaw creates unwanted noise Also, and the sound is not good at all…they honestly make all music sound distorted. Never used noise canceling headphones before. Price was right to try on recent flight. Comfortable over my ears. Could not hear buzzing airplane noises usually hear when wearing earbuds. Also could not hear my husband unless he tapped me on my shoulder. Did occasionally hear a crying baby. Normally am a nervous flyer but was able to fall asleep wearing these while listening to a meditation podcast! Liked how they folded up flat into my purse leaving plenty of room for other items. Dont be fooled but these kids sized headphones,they pack enough punch to rival many $20-40 competitors. Great value for the price,on sale for $10. Can turn the volume up all the way on my s9plus phone, since my actual s22 ultra doesnt have 3.5 mm jack, without distortion. Built in amps are made so people dont blow them up.These headphones dont have extreme bass nor ear piercing tweeters. Nor does it sound like the more expensive,garbage turtle beach brand,that closely resemble a cup with a string attached to another cup. Exceptional balance focused around mid tones,not too high,not too low,while bass lower frequencies are clear and present. First things first, the description for these headphones lists them as being "over-the-ear" but they are not! These are on-ear, meaning that they will not envelop your ear the way a larger headphone would; they sit on top of the ear. They have an "L-Shaped" jack, and the cable is unique…it is very pliable but remains to be seen how well it will hold up over time. The pros: They are super lightweight, headband tension not too strong, and have decent sound quality for the casual listener. I also like the way they fold up. Cons: They feel cheaply-made, and padding is extremely minimal, so not very comfotable for extended periods of wear. Also, as mentioned, the product description is a bit misleading. Due to this, they also are not great at blocking out background noise. The smaller 30mm drivers also keep these from delivering a lot of bass, but hit mid-tones pretty well. Bottom Line: These are a pretty great sounding headphone for $20, and would work well for casual listeners. I am happy with the purchase so far. However, build quality is a bit of a concern, so I'd recommend those with active lifestyles to search out something a bit more durable/comfortable.Joshua

First off if you are looking for something simple and just to get a little edge on your terrible TV speakers this is a great buy. However if you are looking for an actual quality sound I say you should look elsewhere. The first thing I noticed is that this sound bar is very forward on dialogue and for that I actually like this. I feel like most full sound systems the dialogue is where it gets lost unless you really have the speakers quite loud. So for my living room TV where I usually watch sports, newscasts and Youtube videos this was a great addition. Also my TV speakers are quite terrible so this was a great way to introduce just a bit of extra sound throughout the hearing range. Next this speaker has all the great new features including bluetooth, wifi, chromecast, dolby surround and even Earc. With all this you even get auto room correction where the speaker will play some sounds and calibrate the sound to your room. I highly recommend that everyone that buys this speaker do that right away before listening to anything. As before I did the calibration my side speakers were extremely louder than the front. So if you were sitting off to the side you would get sharp loud sounds and just by walking around there was no blend between the speakers there were harsh lines where you could tell which speakers are playing. Lastly the sound for music or for just enjoyable listening there is much to be desired. The bass begins to clip very early in the volume range and lowering the bass does little to help this along. The mids are clear until you really start to push it and then they really lose quality and detail. However the highs are quite detailed and clear no matter how much you push the speaker. Lastly I am very happy to see that the quality is quite unchanged when changing inputs from wifi, bluetooth or HDMI. In the I would recommend this for anyone that needs an upgrade to their TV speakers, but if you are speakers are ok this speaker will not wow you in the least. As my OLED TV has a fairly similar sound quality and loudness. I will keep using this on my TV with bad speakers but will look for something else when it comes to my OLED.RussMaf101

I have tested this sound bar in the shop (with bluetooth and FLAC files) before buying online (and who doesn't…). Really amazed with the quality. I chose a bar without a sub-woofer as most of the time it will be TV broadcasts (and not 4k Netflix and such like) that will be listend to Therefore, a sub-woofer would be too much. Now the minus points: Pity it does not have an ext audio in (3.5mm jack). The HDMI in/out did not work for me despite trying several cables and configurations. There was no video out but I had sound. "Problem" solved by using an optical cable (PCM mode) from TV to soundbar. The Ethernet connection and using an app to play music I found very confusing and have abandoned it. Although here a plus point, when connected to ethernet, it does perform an automatic s/w upgrade. Once this is done, disconnect the ethernet as I didn't like the thought of others listening in for "command recogntion". The Alexa app only works if you have an Amazon account. – I don't. Suggestion for improvement for this product: * A small led or other subtle permanent indicator to show that the soundbar is actually on. * 3.5mm external input * A set of feet that raises the unit a 2 to 3 cm higher to allow it to sit in front of a TV that has sloping support feet. (The more modern TV's have flat feet designed for soundbars). I made my own and it looks part of the unit. Footnote: I bought this unit as a replacement for a Charge 3 speaker which had functioned as a "sound bar" for the last four years and gave good sound for such a speaker. I got to test this through Reviewclub, and I´ve had it for almost a week now. For a long time I´ve wanted to kiss our sub goodbye, because I hate that big box that just stands in the way. However I've hesitated, because well…can a soundbar without a sub do the job? The short answer to that is yes, with an asterisk *. Over to the longer answer… The soundbar was really easy to set up. The user manual has a design that even my grandmother would understand, so that's all good. No trouble connecting to Wifi either, but after having connected, an update started. This update takes a while, so be patient. At first I wasn't impressed with the sound, but after having run the calibration, and placing myself around 2 meters away from the soundbar, it sounded a lot different. I think it sounds best in surround-mode. I really like that there are so many options to connect wirelessly to the soundbar. There was no problem connecting to Google Home, and adding it as a speaker in our setup there. Airplay also works great. We don't have any products with Alexa, so I haven't tested that feature. If you're looking for bass that rocks your world, this isn't your best option, but if you want to upgrade your TV-sound, while also adding an extra speaker to your home, this is a great option. The design isn't the most attractive, but at the same time, it's pretty discreet. I would give the sound a 4/5 in the soundbar universe.Bluppsi

This has got to be the worst headphones ever. After a few weeks, one of the speaker always goes out. I have went through about 3 of these. Keep returning it because it keeps breaking down. Even for the cheap cost, it's still not worth the hassle.KState

I've been purchasing these Sony earbuds regularly for almost a decade now (and have owned at least a dozen pairs) as cheap beaters for everyday use and have always been pleasantly surprised. Audio and build quality is just about what you'd expect in this price range, if not slightly better, but enough pairs of these boys have survived going through the wash after being scrunched up in a sweaty pocket all day to recommend them wholeheartedly. Doesn't block much sound (honestly a plus in my opinion for the kind of travel I do) but it's a very comfortable fit, especially compared to other buds in this range, and rarely falls out. Tangling is an unavoidable issue but for what you're paying they're an excellent choice as daily burner buds for taking on the go when you're concerned about losing or breaking them.Anonym0u5

These can be fine, depending on what your purpose is for them. I got these as a backup to a pair of expensive wireless earbuds I had but was always forgetting to charge. They actually replaced the wireless ones though because they're just more convenient, always ready to go, without needing charged or updated. I use them to listen to podcasts, i.e. people talking, not music. For that, they sound fine. I probably wouldn't use them for music. I use them while out walking for exercise, one in my ear and the other tucked in my shirt so I can hear my surroundings. The cord is long enough to connect to my phone in my pocket. The cord material doesn't cause excessive, annoying rubbing noise. I'm in Florida and it gets pretty hot and humid here, but they seem to tolerate sweat and humidity pretty well. The fit is comfortable and doesn't get hot. My only wish is that they have some controls on the cord for pausing, rewinding, or volume. But what do you expect for under $20? These have lasted me about two years and only now I'm getting some static on the connection and quieter sound. I'd recommend them.Ryan G

Hey! I had these for 3 months. I really like it! For something so cheap and affordable they preform great. When I brought them I thought well these won't last long. But I was wrong very wrong these are great to use if you hate noise like me. The noise cancellation on these are amazing 10/10. My favorite thing about these wired ear buds are listening to music and cancellating the outside noise so all distractions are cut out. I would consider whoevers is reading this to buy these they are worth it.Eric

Pros: I bought these to act as both handsfree for calls and also for listening to podcasts and music on my phone. The sound quality is great for the budget price, the handsfree is also good. The cushions are comfortable which is nice. Cons: Honestly, any improvements will push up product price and I suspect this headphone set, might struggle to compete for sound quality in a higher price bracket, with other headsets.Generally the headphones are pretty durable for what they are but perhaps slightly stronger headband? I'm a mid 30s male with an average sized head. I bought these for a cheap wired solution my desk set up. I couldn't be happier for $20. They sound good, fit comfortably and feel sturdy enough for being budget headphones. These are not noise canceling and they are not amazing compared to JBL or Bose. If you're after a decent budget headphone with a mic though, you could do infinitely worse than these for the money. I bought these to replace my Skullcandy over-the-ear headphones, which are starting to fall apart but still sound great.

First, I should have realized that you get what you pay for. They were 40 dollar headphones on sale for 20. Okay. But as soon as I took them out of the box, they just felt really flimsy. Also, they are not over-the-ear. I tested them by plugging into my stereo system to play a 180 gram vinyl record. They sounded horrible! No treble, no fidelity, no depth at all…just muddy, cruddy bass. Blech! The sound reminded me of an old cassette tape that's been played 200 times. I listened for all of five seconds and put them back in the box. Luckily I have my receipt. I will be taking them back tomorrow.

Like I said, you get what you pay for. Still, I've had several pairs of 15 dollar JVC headphones, which are terrific. I've even had an older pair in the Sony MDR series that was good. These just suck. You will feel angry that you wasted 20 dollars. There is a reason these are discounted 50 percent.Paul Olsen

Just got these today after 2 months for shipping, likely from back-ordering. The very first thing I listened to on these literally stopped me dead. I was absolutely floored by how good these sounded just out of my phone for how much they cost me. I’ve been throwing every kind of music I can at them over the last few hours, and everything just sounds great out of them. The bass is surprisingly strong and in your face, but somehow everything is still pleasantly balanced and clear. I knew these would sound good and feel good, but I was never expecting THIS level of performance for something that cost less than a nice dinner for 2, and that is often regarded as a “throw away” headphone. They’re definitely called that because they’re inexpensive, but you know that you’ll be going right back and buying another pair if anything happens to them. My first pair of headphones that fits the pure vibe that these headphones give me. I had a pair of these back in the 90s and loved them; I'm so glad I decided to revisit this old classic. They aren't going to replace my Beyerdynamic DT880s for mixing, but their sound has a certain "something" to it that is just, well, /fun/! They are lightweight, comfortable, and cheap enough to toss in my backpack without worry. The way they fold up neatly to fit into their pouch is clever and means they are less likely to get tangled up in the rest of the crap in my bag. In short: these are not high-end cans but they are comfortable, sound good, and are simply enjoyable to use; there's a reason they've persisted virtually unchanged for over 35 years. If I had any complaints: the cord is a bit short, and I'd prefer a multi-button remote, but really for $38 that's a _minor_ nitpick. Also, the updated cable strain relief at the jack is excellent, but there is no strain relief on the cable at the headphone end; time will tell if this is a weak point. Overall, I love these so much I may buy another for a backup. Oh, and Koss support is legendary, even for inexpensive products like this. It's kind of a no-brainer at this price.dhwn

Like the KPH30i, these could also be the headphone to end all headphone wars if these had detachable cables and were built with materials that cost more than $1.50 Koss makes the most frustrating products from my perspective. On the one hand, they clearly know good to great sound and how to build small speaker units to deliver it. But almost everything else about Koss spells cheap and nasty. The Porta Pros are no exception. Made from cheap plastic and a small sliver of metal that could bend/break with the slightest lack of care and cables that are thinner than vermicelli, the overall experience is part ecstasy (sound) and part agony (build). I understand price sensitivity, but perhaps split the same product into a lite and pro version, one made cheaply for college kids and the other for people willing to spend more? For $40 odd, these are fine, but I wish these were $100 and built twice as well. They would still compete with $200 headphones on sound.entreprenerd

After trying the Samsung buds pro, I was very surprised how uncomfortable they were, and how there was almost no noise cancelling. I also tried the Bose 700 and the Bose QuietComfort earbuds, I was dissatisfied with the design and noise canceling level. Also their app was not working properly. After seeing that the Sony was on sale, and after reading great reviews, I bought them. I was instantly impressed. The app has many more features, and works perfectly. The noise canceling is great. One of the greatest features, is that without even having my Bluetooth turned on on my phone, I can place the back of the left ear piece against the back of my Samsung Galaxy phone, and through NFC, without the app even running, and the headphones powered off, the headphones power on, and turn on Bluetooth on my phone and connect. When you connect the included cable between the headphones and your device, for some reason the noise canceling is even better. I am going to check into this to see why this might be as it does not make sense. The app allows you to adjust the ambient sound so that you can go from complete noise canceling all the way to being able to hear cars and noises around you. Most of the options for the headphones can also be controlled by buttons or swiping on the earpieces. It's been decades since I've owned a Sony product, and this reminds me of the quality that I remember seeing in Sony products. Since I don't want to always have bluetooth on because I'm not sure of the health risks involved, my research showed that when you plug in the cable it turns off the Bluetooth in the headphones. I tested this out by trying to reconnect via Bluetooth while the cable is plugged in. The phone was unable to find the headphones, which supports what I read, namely that Bluetooth is turned off in the headphones when you plug in the cable. Luckily found these on sale and had rewards points making them a great deal with super quality. They are also comfortable, lightweight and seem to have great battery life and quick charging via USB C. The only potential problem that I've discovered is that when wearing them outside in the wind, I do hear some of the wind. However these were not mainly purchased for outdoor use.sgp617

I purchased these about a month ago. This is my first foray into wireless noise canceling headphones in about five years, I am impressed with the improvements. The sound quality is simply terrific, approximately as good as a set of wired headphones of similar cost. The wireless link is reliable, no interference or dropouts noted though in fairness I usually use these with my phone which is never more than a few feet away. I purchased these in part to replace a set of headphones that I use when I cut my grass. That is a very challenging environment for noise reduction as it contains wide band noise from very low frequencies up to almost the limit of human hearing. The noise is also at a fairly high decibel decibel level, something like 90+dba at 1 m. The headphones knocks the mower noise down to a really surprising level, and even with the noise reduction working that hard the audio still sounds great. I also very much appreciate the touch features of these headphones. My experience with non-phone/computer gesture sensing has not been good. However these sense tap and swipe gestures very reliably. The headphones come in a small zippered case and include accessories such as an airplane adapter and hardwired cable. They charge in three hours or less, usually much less, from USB-C. Sony also has an app available for iOS and android that provides various settings for noise reduction, equalizer, and setting the function of a dedicated button on the headphones. I can't speak to the iOS version but the android version works well, I've had absolutely no issues with it. Overall I think these are a great choice, and well worth the price.Mark

It would not be fair to claim one is outright better than the other – the better question is what do you prefer? It is too difficult to recommend either the QC45 or the Sony XM4s over the other. Since I am fortunate to own both – here are notes/thoughts from my own experience – Sound Quality: Sony have an impressive soundstage especially with bass-heavy music. Sonys seem to have a greater volume output and maintain a well rounded/uniform sound from low to maximum volume ranges. Sonys are well suited for all music and especially impressive with bass-heavy music. They have a warm sound and one can enjoy listening to music at volume for a longer period of time compared to the Bose. If I want to listen/feel like Im hearing something at a club, Ill go for the Sony. If I want to appreciate vocals or instruments in a song, Ill prefer the Bose. Bose have an impressive soundstage with music that emphasize vocals or live instruments – in my experience you can hear more detail and pick instruments apart from one another with the Bose. The potential downside with such clarity and emphasis on the highs may be that you experience fatigue as volume is increased towards the max with I can best describe in my non-audiophile lingo as sharp treble. Build Quality/Comfort: Materials are comparable. Bose and Sony use a combo of faux leather and plastic. Sonys have bulkier earcups but the exterior of their headphones feature more premium feeling matte textured plastic. Bose have a slimline feel/look by comparison but have a more simplistic plastic feel to the exterior of their cans. My nod on build quality go to Bose though; the Sonys have already started to creak a bit when I wear them with slight movements of the head. This slight creaky noise originate where the band connects to each earcup. While Sony might exhibit slightly more premium materials, the build construction and lack of any creaks/rattles or looseness of the Bose and the slinky feel of the latter (along with the faux leather/more compact protective case) make the QC45s the winner here. Both are equally comfortable – draw on comfort. Noise Cancellation Both are impressive. Imo, I prefer the ANC of the Sony in cases where consistent low frequency noise is apparent. In cases such as flying, the Sony drown out the lower freqs and almost cloak it with a somewhat perceptible yet satisfying hiss/white noise. Bose do a godd job too with the lower frequencies but their slight edge might be in fighting against higher freq noise such as in a coffee shop. Other Notes: Sony capacitive touch controls can be both convenient and fun but at times just as frustrating. I enjoy swiping forward and backward for songs in a playlist (Bose can only skip forward) but changing volume or pausing music is more clunky. I only want to skip one or two tracks at a time so a swipe is convenient, but changing the volume is easier with a several quick clicks instead of several swipes. The quicker the swipe can be hard for the capacitive controls. When I take the headphones off though, its nice that the Sony tech knows (80% of the time) to pause the music. EQ Control/App: Sony has a better EQ App offering more adjustability that suits your preferences. Bose have a preferable phone-call experience and ambient mode gives me greater awareness of how loud I am talking out loud when on a call. TLDR: If you have a QC35 or XM3, this is a worthy upgrade. Owners of previous Sony XM ANC headsets may notice a slight degarde in material quality but the upgrade in tech everywhere else is a fair trade. XM4s are as good as the newer QC45s and trade the uber-detailed and crisp sound sound with an impressive bass positive soundstage and warm, full and balanced sound profile. Sony wins with its warm sound, immersive soundstage and ANC. Consumers who value the foremost vocal and instrument detail at the expense of bass will want to check out the QC45 instead.Szluski

Purchased believing audio quality would surpass that of my current less expensive MDR-XB500 headphones However, sound quality is very similar to that experienced using MDR-XB500 model. The sound quality isn`t the best, but really good considering no amp is required. It`s great being able to play tracks through the headphones. It has been very useful, as I often work away from home and can practice silently in the hotel room, without having to take my practice amp.Dave T.

I use these predominantly for recording audio for YouTube tutorials – and the only issue I have found is the occasional breaking up of the mic audio unless the receiver is in line-of-sight to the headset, so if you're having problems with mic audio then try either an extension cable or moving the dongle to a USB socket closer to you (this worked for me). The mic is also removable if you just want to listen to audio – but I never bother unplugging it – it's flexible and easily bends out of the way if I don't need it. The audio quality for listening to music is fantastic (as I would expect from JBL), and battery life is great as well (comes with a USB C charging cable). They are comfortable (fully over-ear which is the only kind I can wear for extended periods) and not too heavy – and the bonus of no wires is worth the slight hassle of needing to be close to the dongle. I've never used more expensive headsets so I can't compare these with them – but I can't imagine I would want to spend any more – I'm very happy with these.SteveD76

What a great set of headphones. JBL Sound quality comes through crisp and clear as always, however what really sets these apart is the comfort. While feeling durable and looking professional, these headphones are light and are easy to wear for long stretches of time. I wanted something I could easily use WIRELESSLY and reliably at home for work calls and this is the perfect fit. I've got great range from room to room and I love that it has its own dongle for a solid connection with out interference. One of my favorite JBL products (right behind the pulse4). Must buy for folks who work from home and have to deal with calls all day.Aaron

Bought this JBL Harman product 3 months ago, cost $119 from JB HIFI. Plastic broke within 3 months of use where the right earphone swivels on the headband. On closer inspection it looks like the manufacturer hollowed out or cost-cut on the plastic moulding at the swivel point (making it thin right where any stress would normally be on the swivel). The product is advertised to be "Made for conference calls", so pitched at Work-From-Home users so should be made with more regular use in mind, but unfortunately was made of cheap plastic moulding and looks like it was designed to break. To make matters worse, the JBL Warranty Registration site would not register the serial number of the product. Also, when I chatted online with JBL, they said, "because it is broken plastic, it is not covered by warranty" so they "will not replace it, nor can the product be fixed", they said – which means for JBL consumers — a waste of money.DontWasteYourMoney

After doing some online research for best extra Bass headphones I came across Sony and going to it's webpage it showed this model after watching a few online videos futher review reading for this wired headphone set I made the purchase in March. With this Sony model it is very good for the price point under the price $100 price range. This why I give it 5 stars. They are not noise canceling but I don't care about that feature. I don't have a budget to pay over a $100 for headphones no matter how much better they might be with noise cancelling that I probably wwoun't notice anyway. The best thing about these headphones is not just the added Bass it produces but great sounds from all 3 sound ranges. Plus block out some outside noise like when a person is talking right at you. This headphone is good enough for an average music listener even for audiophiles that just like to hear extra Bass in Hi-FI. Not only are the sounds so perfect and natural in Bass the earcuffs and headband are all so comfortable you can wear these for long hours on end and your ears should never hurt. The headband is adjustable with the underneath padding at the top so a users head won't hurt either because they are also very lightweight. I have a V20 with a 32 bit QUAD DAC so that is why I chose these wired headphones over bluetooth. With my phone these headphones are just so good. For under $60.00 your not going fined a much better brand with extra bass. The matte black finish on the plastic earcuffs doesn't look so bad in aesthetics compared to previous version in shiny metal. I should mention the mic works great. It's perfect using this headphone set for talking on the phone for private converstations. I like the thickness of the cord so it won't tangle, break or stretch easily. The earcuffs rotate outward for loudspeaker effect. So there is stereo sound with 2 speakers instead of just one external loud speaker.ScottInWinterHaven

TBH, most of the time when I listen to music, I'll grab whatever headphones are closest (given I already filter out some of the worst offenders as they come into the house). These are borderline for me since I listen to a pretty wide variety of stuff and when they really fall flat, it's noticeable enough to be disappointing, but if your favorite genres are top/bottom heavy or if you set your EQ to U-shape and jam, you'll really LOVE these. I bought them for a bit over $20 and would still be happy to own them if they cost twice that. Physically they are very light. The cable is unique – like a flat egg noodle pasta ribbon, does not seem to unplug from the 'cans'. The cups rotate to lay very flat but do not collapse into a tight package. Despite being light, the plastic feels strong/durable. I'd still normally carry them in a case, though. The headband doesn't pinch your head tightly. The cups are a flimsy thin plastic but they do a tremendous job of sealing out the sounds of the outside world. ** For anything under thirty dollars, these are a tremendous value. The Pioneer hdj CUE series are a surprisingly well built quality headset. As a Dj for 10 years, I thought I'd add a pair of these to my rather large collection of cans, and I'm very glad I did. These are an incredibly tough low end monitoring headset, so no matter how big or small the venues sound system is, you're going to get precise audio monitoring for whatever genre you mix. No need to crank the cue knob up too much on your mixer either, because these cans are LOUD! Not only are the bass frequencies clean and punchy as mentioned before, but both mid and high eq's are very balanced too. However, these headphones don't come with a 1/4" jack in the box, but they do fit a twist or push on jack perfectly for your dj mixer and audio interface equipment. When you're not having a mix, the CUE1 series offer wireless Bluetooth technology for on the go, cable free listening! Again, in a busy environment, you'll have crystal clear, beautiful audio for all your favourite tunes through no loss of quality wireless Bluetooth. On a side note, I would not recommend these for professional studio mixdowns. Tech lingo aside, you can also change the cable and ear-cup colours too! Never used noise canceling headphones before. Price was right to try on recent flight. Comfortable over my ears. Could not hear buzzing airplane noises usually hear when wearing earbuds. Also could not hear my husband unless he tapped me on my shoulder. Did occasionally hear a crying baby. Normally am a nervous flyer but was able to fall asleep wearing these while listening to a meditation podcast! Liked how they folded up flat into my purse leaving plenty of room for other items. Dont be fooled but these kids sized headphones,they pack enough punch to rival many $20-40 competitors. Great value for the price,on sale for $10. Can turn the volume up all the way on my s9plus phone, since my actual s22 ultra doesnt have 3.5 mm jack, without distortion. Built in amps are made so people dont blow them up.These headphones dont have extreme bass nor ear piercing tweeters. Nor does it sound like the more expensive,garbage turtle beach brand,that closely resemble a cup with a string attached to another cup. Exceptional balance focused around mid tones,not too high,not too low,while bass lower frequencies are clear and present. It has decent noise canceling cushions,being not able to hear someone in a quiet room 5 ft away with only %50 volume up with any genre of songs,is pretty good.Super lightweight,and they fold up,but need much care,that skimpy cable wont last long if it keeps being bent in ways its not supposed to. First things first, the description for these headphones lists them as being "over-the-ear" but they are not! These are on-ear, meaning that they will not envelop your ear the way a larger headphone would; they sit on top of the ear. They have an "L-Shaped" jack, and the cable is unique…it is very pliable but remains to be seen how well it will hold up over time. The pros: They are super lightweight, headband tension not too strong, and have decent sound quality for the casual listener. I also like the way they fold up. Cons: They feel cheaply-made, and padding is extremely minimal, so not very comfotable for extended periods of wear. Also, as mentioned, the product description is a bit misleading. Due to this, they also are not great at blocking out background noise. The smaller 30mm drivers also keep these from delivering a lot of bass, but hit mid-tones pretty well. Bottom Line: These are a pretty great sounding headphone for $20, and would work well for casual listeners. I am happy with the purchase so far. However, build quality is a bit of a concern, so I'd recommend those with active lifestyles to search out something a bit more durable/comfortable.Joshua

Sam Ash is my go to supply house for all my rock n' roll gear. So I am writing this review for the next seeker of quality equipment. Specifically these Samson Over-Ear Stereo Headphones (model #SR350). The cushion surrounds my ears and cancels out all outside noise perfectly. It comes with two input adapters that fit all amps and laptops. These headphones are essential for me because they allow me to practice at all times of the day. I don't have to worry about waking up my wife or bothering the neighbors. Actually, everything sounds better through the headphones. So I prefer keeping them on. I got these Samson SR350 Over-Ear Stereo Headphones for my 8 year old daughter. She has sensitive ears so I figured these would be perfect. I tested them 1st to see if they were comfortable, and the padding definitely is. I set her tablet volume on low so she didn't hurt her ears and let her test them out. She loved them. However; after one day they ended up breaking. The plug in part completely bent. So they aren't very durable.MommyOfTwo

These headphones have amazing sound to them almost theater sound. The head and ear cushions are very comfortable. I used them for 4hrs nonstop with no issues. I home school my daughters and my oldest is using these now. On and off through the day they were very comfortable in all aspects her only complaint is that the cord is to long. Problem solved with twist tie. I have it 3 stars only because where they cord goes into the headphone their is not support for the wire and seems it will fail but only time will tell with that. If their was extra support in that corded area it'd be 4 stars easily. I never give 5 stars because nothing is perfect. Impressed so far.Jimsk

The sound is flat, as a monitoring set these are not designed for music listening. Size of the ear muffs is good, I would consider these to be average and would fit most ears. Overall size is not for a bald person with an average head, as they fit big and tend to droop down, or at least for me. With a hat or beanie, these work perfectly!Jonathan

This is a great product for the price. I do highly recommend buying these for listening to music & for recording. I highly doubt you will find a better pair of headphones in an electronics store for twice as much. However, I DO NOT recommend using these for mixing/mastering due to the lack of flatness in the sound quality. The bass is pretty intense for mixing/mastering in my opinion. I use several different pairs of headphones for mixing/mastering, just to get an overall 'feel' for the sound of the mix, so for that reason I don't regret buying these. Bottom line? Ordered these for an upcoming recording project. They don't fit real comfortably and become sweaty quickly. There isn't a lot of clean low end you'd expect from a headphone. I'm going to keep them to complete the recording project, my mates aren't too picky. The cables will be plenty long enough. I will be wearing different phones to better monitor the mix. On a side note….2 days after I ordered two of these, the two pack went on the sdotd on another site. If you need a cheap headphone…and see that deal….you might be okay. The sound quality is very good and background noise is eliminated well. The headphones are also very light weight, being constructed from plastic materials. The head band is easily adjusted to fit, with pivoting ear pieces, which make for a really snug, comfortable fit, but the ear pieces are quite small and I wear glasses, so the headphones put pressure on the arms of my glasses, which becomes more uncomfortable when using them for long periods. After doing some online research for best extra Bass headphones I came across Sony and going to it's webpage it showed this model after watching a few online videos futher review reading for this wired headphone set I made the purchase in March. With this Sony model it is very good for the price point under the price $100 price range. This why I give it 5 stars. They are not noise canceling but I don't care about that feature. I don't have a budget to pay over a $100 for headphones no matter how much better they might be with noise cancelling that I probably wwoun't notice anyway. The best thing about these headphones is not just the added Bass it produces but great sounds from all 3 sound ranges. Plus block out some outside noise like when a person is talking right at you. This headphone is good enough for an average music listener even for audiophiles that just like to hear extra Bass in Hi-FI. Not only are the sounds so perfect and natural in Bass the earcuffs and headband are all so comfortable you can wear these for long hours on end and your ears should never hurt. The headband is adjustable with the underneath padding at the top so a users head won't hurt either because they are also very lightweight. I have a V20 with a 32 bit QUAD DAC so that is why I chose these wired headphones over bluetooth. With my phone these headphones are just so good. For under $60.00 your not going fined a much better brand with extra bass. The matte black finish on the plastic earcuffs doesn't look so bad in aesthetics compared to previous version in shiny metal. I should mention the mic works great. It's perfect using this headphone set for talking on the phone for private converstations. I like the thickness of the cord so it won't tangle, break or stretch easily. The earcuffs rotate outward for loudspeaker effect. So there is stereo sound with 2 speakers instead of just one external loud speaker.ScottInWinterHaven

TBH, most of the time when I listen to music, I'll grab whatever headphones are closest (given I already filter out some of the worst offenders as they come into the house). These are borderline for me since I listen to a pretty wide variety of stuff and when they really fall flat, it's noticeable enough to be disappointing, but if your favorite genres are top/bottom heavy or if you set your EQ to U-shape and jam, you'll really LOVE these. I bought them for a bit over $20 and would still be happy to own them if they cost twice that. Physically they are very light. The cable is unique – like a flat egg noodle pasta ribbon, does not seem to unplug from the 'cans'. The cups rotate to lay very flat but do not collapse into a tight package. Despite being light, the plastic feels strong/durable. I'd still normally carry them in a case, though. The headband doesn't pinch your head tightly. The cups are a flimsy thin plastic but they do a tremendous job of sealing out the sounds of the outside world. ** For anything under thirty dollars, these are a tremendous value. I got these at memorial day sale price of 100 at local best buy. I had got my son a half price sale model line noise canceling of JBL headphones at Christmas time that were really good, so I figured these at 35 buck more would really blow the doors off the entry model. Ultimately, not so much. They do sound great, and the app is decent so far with this set. I like the idea of washable muffs… although it is not as simple as the book shows it and I will wait to fully remove the until really needed as I fear harming them. I think the set my son has is great at the around 100 price point, I got them at 65 normally 130. Do think the clarity and EQ settings on this are better, but would not have considered at all if not on sail. These did great as I actually use them as I mow the yard and the cancellation is significant (of course you can still hear some mower, but sounds was clear and not cranked. I would agree max volume is not ear splitting, but loud enough as I had range to increase even on my mower. If you need louder than these, you are probably damaging you hearing, or driving with your head out a window, riding a motorcycle (with loud pipes and no helmet) or at a gun range. Do think at the regular 300 price there are several brands to look at that do as well or better, having some experience with different headsets over the years. Overall happy so far with these, but at this price range unless you get them on sale like I did, look around. Now to see durability.Wiseguy945

I'd like to meet the dope that put that giant bull's head button in the right ear cup and kick his butt. You cannot lay down with these things on because that stupid button gets pressed if you turn to the right and then the headphones announce loudly "Noise cancelling off!" and then a second later "Noise cancelling on!" then "Ambient aware!". I get it – these are meant for working out. But does it really need a button the size of a half-dollar coin? Sitting on a plane trying to sleep against the right window seat initiates a repeated chorus of noise cancelling alerts. Another complaint is the other controls. For $300 I expect separate volume, play, and skip buttons. Not this overpriced toy. There is one control that does everything and it sucks at doing everything. First it is positioned too far back – it's hard to reach. Second, the play and stop bit almost never works. Always ends up just increasing the volume. Third, to skip you have to press the volume button twice quickly and then it takes half an eternity to start the next track. And then there are the lights. You could work in a coalmine with the freaking light these things emit. Very bright (for goodness only knows why) white light shines from the front. Again, not good for laying down and listening and playing on your phone with 40 watts of white light glaring on it. Then there's the blue light on the bad which clearly meant to annoy your spouse as they sleep. Taped over the white light but the blue light is embedded in the On-Off switch. Best I could do was to color it with a black marker. The overall comfort is not too bad while standing or sitting. Simply dreadful laying down. The sound quality is excellent and the noise cancelling work great. For what I paid ($100 on sale) I can tolerate the bad bits but don't you even think about paying full price for these.DrOfdoom

This headset is loaded with features, most features hit close to 5 stars but not quite. Comfort: I have XXL size head (24"-24 1/2") and it fits me well – above average compared to others that Ive tried, Clamp force is high – just like any other ANC headset, it can start to hurt after few hours. 4 stars Sound: Quality is good, Its more focused on "live" immersion music setup (I have tried adjusting with EQ), it reminds me of Bose sound style of tune up, Im not the biggest fan of it because it lacks in very crisp highs and very deep lows, Max volume level not very high, I would say average at best. As Ive mentioned lacks in crisp highs and bass in general – if you try to increase those levels you will lose volume – its well known Bluetooth technology flaw. It does have fully featured app with custom EQ available. Overall sound quality feels premium but lacks in those areas Ive mentioned. 3.5 stars ANC: I would say its well above average and works quite well – I use it mostly at the gym and gives me plenty of isolation with higher volume. It has 2 different ANC settings. Bionic hearing for conversations also excellent and can be quickly turned on and off on the side of the headset. 5 stars Other features: Battery life is accurate and will last over 40 hours, Bluetooth range is on par with 5.0 version reach. Earcups are comfy and dries quickly – also washable. Dedicated app is excellent and covers all features and beyond. 5 stars I use them mostly for the gym and happy with them. Wish it had more volume and base, luckily ANC helps with isolation and higher volume is adequate. Things to consider: this headset may not work for you if you plan on using it for long sessions (work, study, gaming) – clamp force is high and will eventually start to bother you – also ears will warm up quite a bit. It may not be for you if you are avid music listener – sound quality is nice but lacks in volume and high/low range. For retail or slight discount price I would rate them 3.5 stars, for big discount that I have paid for them I will give it 4.25 stars.sizeXXL
