This listing is for a 1962 gibson es-125 tdc thinline hollowbody electric guitar. this guitar was made in the usa by gibson in 1962. the guitar has a killer neck profile and wide 1 & 11/16ths nut width. the guitar is a player grade instrument but is a killer playing and sounding guitar. the main issues is that the guitar has an old headstock repair and a lot of the original parts have been switched for modern parts. the guitar has been professionally set up and plays really great with low and comfortable action and feels really great in your hands. the guitar was refretted not too long ago with a very professional refret and plays really smooth and easily up and down the neck. the pickups are duncan antiquity dog ear p-90 pickups which sound amazing. the wiring harness is an all new cts wiring harness. the tuners, bridge, tailpiece and knobs are all not original. the guitar does have an old headstock repair which has been professionally repaired and is super solid and stable. the guitar definitely had a bigsb

The es-339 is a slightly smaller version of the 335. it is also a semi hollow body. this one is in very nice condition with some minimal playwear including scratches on the guard and a few other signs of use. it comes with a certificate of authenticity and the original hard case. the guitar is all original and has no issues. he plays easily and sounds very very good.

Pros: overall the guitar is in good shape. it looks like it has the original electronics, it plays great and has that unmistakeable charlie christian sound. comes with hardshell case. cons: one of the tuners was replaced. i’m not sure why the previous owner just didn’t replace all three. it’s functioning fine so i left it that way. i didn’t want to do something the new owner would not appreciate. the potentiometers are a bit grabby. i have cleaned and lubricated them with the deoxit spray so they work fine they’re just not silky smooth like a new cts. it looks like it has a crack repair sometime ago coming from the f hole on the left. i don’t see any other structural damage/repair on it. considering it’s almost 90 years old it’s in very good condition.
