It can connect to your laptop or PC using USB type B to Type A cable. which enables you to update the firmware, and play your backing tracks. If you download Edit and Share from Zoom ,this enables you to alter, swap and change patch positions. Very handy having a volume pedal, which can be set ,for various effects. Have been chasing tone for years and stumbled upon a guitar fx inside of the Zoom R8 Multitrack Recorder. It was named DZ. I Researched it and found out DZ stood for the real life super expensive 3 stage gain High End Diezel Amp. The sound was too good to be true. After finding out that this amp was included in the G3 it was a must that I seek it out and see if it was the same amp SIM. Sure enough it was. This amp is my definition of all that an amp should be. It has a gain that goes from clean to distorted and the progression is smooth and natural. There is a tube control in each amp. Zoom calls it a sigmoid curve clipper. It is so good. As you turn it up it actually acts like tube compression and I mean altering tube dynamics. I have found that most guitarists are not interested tweaking all that much but this a true art form and is very rewarding. The Diezel amp is like a 5150 or Soldano Marshall or Mesa Boogie in sound quality. There are other great amps but this was my favorite and with the built in graphic EQ I can emulate most amps that I like or hear.The FD combo amp is an emulation of a Fender Twin and it is darn good. When cranking gain it becomes extremely lively. I rate it as the best tube emulator no doubt. Since you can have 6 effects in any order there are no limits on what you can get out of this pedal. I believe the emulation are very accurate and most amps are usually enhanced by pedals in front of them. So it is important to try different boost and overdrive pedal Sims just like a real life setup. I used the Acoustic SIM thru the FD twin with a mild phase to get a very convincing Acoustic sound. The Marshall amps are great.The Free software from Zoom Edit and Share is such a nice and easy program and visually exciting to see pedals that look like pedals…not boxes. Find a clean preset on your amp at its loudest volume. Run music that you like thru the pedal and create a hi fidelity sound on your amp. Once you have a good setting everything works

Recently downsized my Fractal (Axe-fx) live rig into this little unit. I've had it now for about a month and i'm really happy with it. It does everything i hoped it would and the tones i'm able to pull are great. The built in presets are a really great place to start and you can dial in your 'sound' even more with the many effects available. The touchscreen is an awesome feature but i'm really happy with the computer editing capabilities, as that's what i'm used to. The build quality is actually really strong and the built in exp pedal is super solid too. And it's small, like.. smaller than my keyboard! Perfect for carrying around to shows! I was also able to get this really cheap compared to it's competition. There's even an Ampero gig bag that you can purchase separately that is fantastic. Cheers!Barak B.
I have been VERY impressed with the Hotone Ampero so far. I have no idea how they were able to create such an amazing product for such an unbelievable price. It's like a Helix LT shrunken down for about 1/5 of the price and it has the same dual DSP SHARC chips as Helix! The unboxing is similar to an Apple product. Build quality seems very solid. There are tons of AMPS, EFFECTS, and CAB Sims in here! And so far, they all sound great. I've only been through a small % of all this stuff. But I can't wait to see what I can do with it. P.S. I had a great experience with Sam Ash! I was able to negotiate a better deal which made things even better! I usually use mics, but this unit sounds good run directly into the mixing board thanks to the better than average amp/cab emulators. The overdrive/distortion and chorus algorithms are particularly noteworthy, and the reverb and delays are also more than adequate. Definitely one of the best overall multi-effects pedals I've used, especially in a direct to board capacity. With the combination of its three band eq and drive and level knobs you can get a wide variety of tones from heavy blues through hard rock to high gain metal. with the gain set at around 9 clock using a bridge position humbucker you can get some excellent classic rock tones. flick to the neck pickup and you get a thick creamy sustain filled lead tone ideal for any heavy/rock blues lead playing you'll be doing. with the right combination of eq settings with the drive low you can even get some quite santana-esque tones from this pedal. where this pedal is most at home is with the gain at 12 clock or higher. at 12 o'clock you get some brilliant hard rock tones reminiscent of guns n’ roses, metallica and iron maiden. again using the 3 band eq here will give you masses of variety. for a more metal type sound why don't you try scooping the mids out slightly and adding a few more highs and lows.push the gain to 3 clock and you get an all out metal onslaught. make sure you scoop the mids and push the bass and highs and you'll be in metal heaven. pinch harmonics will fly off your guitar. a nice and tight low end helps keep any palm muted galloping riffs sounding crisp and clear. throw your guitar into a drop tuning and chug away this pedal stays tight no matter how low you go. don't forget the divebombs if you have a tremolo equipped guitar. the boost switch is best used on your neck pickup with the control between 9 clock and 10 clock. kick this in at the start of your solo and it'll help increase your volume a little and add a nice bit of top end to really help you cut through the mix so everyone can hear those shred tastic solos. housed in an aluminium alloy case the extreme metal is built to withstand everything you can throw at it gig after gig.

I recently replaced a 5 watt Roland cube street with the more powerful cube street EX. I was disappointed that the EX did not come with Roland JC setting. The clean setting on the EX produced a sterile, cold sound that I warmed up nicely with the Behringer tube modeler. This was my only reason for purchasing this pedal. I have occasional use for a battery operated amp and this pedal allows me to get the warm tones that I require.Richard
Case is plastic to evidently help with cost. With the cost of musical equipment any help is great. I take very good care of equipment so I do not "stomp" on them. Pedal has quality sounds that seem to work within relm of eq'ing. This pedal has it's own drive built in although a bit sensitive. Take your time and you can dial in some quality tones and sounds. I play lots of various music ranging from southern, blues and Christian rock and have been able to fine something nice that works with each style or genre. Again the pedal controls seem a little sensitive so take your time when you start with the pedal. I enjoy expermiemting so this facet is a-ok by me. Over all good pedal.Bo L.
I've had the pedal a couple weeks now and I am more familiar with it. I may have written a previous review so this might be an update… I purchased this pedal for the few times I would have to play on others' amps that don't have any effects as I already have two very good modeling amps. It works great on the modeling amps with the clean channels selected. Recently I bought a Fender Blues Jr which has no effects. I am in a small space where you really can't crank up the volume. To cut to the chase, the TM300 can stand toe to toe with either of my modeling amps, either plugged into them or the Blues Jr. In the modeling amps it provides more clean voices than the amps do without a lot of fiddling. You can also use the distortion/overdrive features instead of the amps' native on-board features if you wish. It is very intuitive and if you take the time to play with it you can come up with some very interesting combinations. I have a Les Paul Custom and a Fender Strat. And though both have upgraded pickups I couldn't quite get the sounds I wanted. The LP was a little too jazz-like and muddy when played in distortion thru the amps. The Strat was just tinny and quacky. I was considering changing out the pickups in both a second time. The TM300 breathed new life into my LP. I can now dial in the sound I want without having the change the pickups. The Strat has a richer fuller sound when I want and the quack when I want. I got this one simply because it was cheap and I just wanted to play around. Venti cinco dolares? Are you kidding me??? The only drawbacks are: 1) It has a plastic housing. It's not heavy duty like a Boss. 2) If you use 9V batteries you have to take the stomper off the change them. A minor annoyance. 3) If you use batteries you have to be careful to unplug the unit after use or it will burn thru your battery in less than a day. Or you will have to buy a 9V adapter. BUT… If you don't want power cables and like to keep things neater, the battery option will help and will also make it more portable as you don't have to pack a power cable if you go anywhere with it. This is my 3rd Behringer pedal, and though not the best in the world I own 3 for 75 buckaroos… less than the price of one professional pedal. For an amateur they work fine and can help a newbie find out what they like and need in pedals without a lot of financial pain.

Overall: After purchasing – and being mostly disappointed with – modelers from other brands I was hesitant to spend the considerable sum on the GT 1000 core. But after extensive review of specs and sounds on Youtube and a good deal from zZounds I went for it. I purchased it solely for the presets because my past ventures into programming haven't been good. I haven't gotten through all of them yet but unlike all the other units I've tried that have only a very few actually useful preset patches, the GT-1000 has a considerable number of them, going straight into my studio console, flat EQ, no additional processing or effects. The verdict so far: I don't think I'll ever again have to use a microphone to record most guitar parts. Additionally, Boss has kept the noise levels surprisingly down on the hard overdriven patches, also unlike the other units I've mentioned. The only drawback I've found – and it isn't major – is that there is a dearth of straightforward Fender clean sounds without effects. I'm sure there's a way in the internal programming to deal with that but I haven't found it necessary yet. The effects are pristine – very well done. All-in-all, worth the money.Jerry
I sold my Line6 HD500X multi fx board and bought this because there were some effects I wanted, like autoswell and some other aspects of this that I preferred, like the smaller size and the ability to add 2 extra expression pedals was great (the inexpensive Nektar pedals=great). I was able to get sounds I liked, but was frustrated by some limitations to how many duplicate effects I could stack, and there were times when I got frustrated with it. I had an instance when trying to record with a friend when it just wouldn't pair with my MacBook Pro for recording through Logic. And other times when working with effects there would be some non-intuitive things I'd have to relearn how to do. I've been working with similar units like this from back in the day with rack effects, and owned many models of DOD, Digitech, LIne6, Rockman, and Zoom but this was my first Boss multi-effect unit. I tried to love it, and the form factor and size is great, but ultimately moved to the Headrush Pedalboard full size unit. It was between that and the Helix, but the Headrush got me. It's got the best user interface of anything out there, with the touch screen and custom naming for each of the footswitches, and the hands-free editing mode (so easy!). If I could give the Boss GT-1000 3.5 stars, I'd do that, but ultimately, I can't recommend it because for the money, the Headrush blows it away for usability: speed of creating presets, adjusting on the fly when performing, and ability to name the footswitch so you know what each one on a given preset does. The Boss has the advantage only for size and weight and the double external expression pedal jacks. As far as effects, I guess that comes down to personal preference on the specifics, but I'd say they are more similar than they are different. No effects unit out there can compete with the software plugins I use for recording and mixing, so for me, it came down to the best for live, spontaneous control, and that's where the GT-1000 lacked.Matt F
I originally tried the Headrush portable effects unit, and although it was simple to use, the sounds were not as close to the original petals as I was hoping for. I then switched to the HX stop, and although it had great amp emulations, again, most of the pedals did not sound that close to the originals to my ears. Upon switching to the GT 1000 core, the user interface was not as simple, but the tones were by far the closest to the original pedals that I had found. I do not use it for the amp emulations much, although those sound good too. But where this pedal shines for me is saving space on my pedalboard, by being all of the modulation pedals that I could ever want in one box, and they sound very close to the original pedals to my ears. I use it for the Boss chorus CE-2, the tape delay, Space Echo, plate reverb, phaser, flanger, harmonizer, pedal bend, and pitch shift. For all of those it is fantastic and sounds much closer to the originals than the others I tried did. It does have a slightly bigger learning curve to get everything set as compared to some of the others out there, but once you have it dialed in it is super simple to switch back-and-forth. And tone wise it is by far the best for me.S

This unit is just incredible. I've been playing since the early 70's and with all the equipment that I've owned I really think the GT100 has possibly impressed me more than anything I've bought! There's some wonderful preset sounds in this tone monster and it's easy to edit the one's that you like. If you're already proficient at programming pedals then this one will be a dream for you to manipulate. This isn't my first multi effects pedal but I don't enjoy programming and this is by far the easiest to program of the one's I've owned. I can't say enough about the sound of this thing. It has every tone that you could ever need. It's extremely quiet too. I'm definitely glad that I made this purchase. I can see a lasting relationship building!Alan
Overall: I picked this up knowing it was at the end of it's market life, but I wanted to finally own one. COSM is starting to feel a little old, but it's still an amazing pedalboard. The amp modeling is good, especially the clean tones. The distortion can get a little "digital" sounding, but it's still very usable. The effects are top notch, especially the delay and reverb. What attracted me to this product was the routing options, specifically USB. I do a lot of home recording on my DAW and an underappreciated feature of this board is the ability to record both a dry and wet signal to your DAW at the same time. Reamping (routing the signal out of your DAW back into the device for processing after recording) is a great tool and something that is not found in a lot of boards. It really gives this kit an extended life off the stage and in the studio. 6 years after launch this is still a great product!Allan
I have to say I love his board, I've been through several multi effects and was recently building up an all analogue pedal board myself with some nice TRex and Keeley pedals in there. I was inspired after watching Johnny Marr and listening to some of the tones he got from the GT100 so I jumped when it was on offer. I run it through a small Behringer mixing desk into two Yamaha DBR12's and all I can say is that it sounds awesome. As a change to my usual random approach I went through each preset and made a note what it reminded me of or what it might be useful for,if I liked the patch. Its a testament to the board that out of the 200 presets I marked nearly 50 out for being useful out of the box. Now i just refer to that sheet and if I have a cover song I want to try or a feel for an original piece I just the closest preset as a starting point. There are so many features on this board its pointless trying to list them but suffice to say its got everything you are going to need, and there is always the effects loop if you are missing some random effect. What else can I say, oh yes its improving my playing as I use the metronome on it loads, really helping me improve my speed. The screens are clear and easy to view, and the whole menu is very intuitive to work with. Gets a definite thumbs up from me absolute winner of a product 🙂

Overall: I've been playing through a Headrush gigboard and needed something different that was just as easy to use, had plenty of tones that were inspiring, that didn't cost as much. I've owned a few Line 6 products over the 30 years of playing music and decided to buy the Pod Go. So worth it! The tones were better than expected, and if you can't afford the Helix series, this is the best choice for a floor unit under $500. The built in expression pedal with toe switch is perfect. You can switch between volume and wah wah or other parameters just by pressing the toe switch in the expression pedal. Basically you don't have to have another expression pedal. The built in pedal can do what you need. I am not tech savvy, I bought the Headrush gigboard last year because of how easy it is to use. I didn't think a floor unit could be. Then comes the Pod Go. It's actually much easier to use than the Headrush. Granted the two have different features but I found making your own sounds easier with the Pod Go. It seems I make them in a shorter time. The color display along with color footswitches make organizing sounds easier than making coffee. If you need a floor unit under 500 the Pod Go is the best choice on the market. If you're a metal head or a traditional Jazz player or love the complexity of Fusion, the Pod Go has your sound.
I was looking at purchasing a Helix LT and upon researching I came across the Pod Go Wireless. It does everything I required from the Helix but at less than half the price, size and weight. You can dial in some great tones, I use it through an 80w Marshall combi straight into the FX return (turning off the cab sim on the Pod) and it sounds very impressive. The amount of effects to choose from is incredible and you can tweak so many variables to get that perfect tone. The wah treadle is very good but it’s not so great when used as a volume pedal as it doesn’t seem to gradually increase/decrease the volume, it’s almost on/off. The wireless feature is very good, I’ve not had any connection issues and don’t have to worry about treading on my cable, which I’m very prone to. Overall, for what I need in a jamming/garage band capacity it is perfect and I’m very, very pleased with the purchase. PMT delivered the next day, it was very well packaged and was the best price I found on the internet.Martin M.
Overall: I wish I could say something positive about this unit. Although it does have some great sounds and features, the fact that it is constantly having to be rebooted because it freezes up or shuts down on its own make it pretty much worthless (Yes I’ve done all the updates and other futile suggestions from the support folks at line 6). Add to that a power supply that is a complete piece of crap. It’s cheap, fragile and generally a bad design. It is almost impossible to find a replacement because line 6 wanted it that way. Simply using a Standard, generic replacement (9v 2500 mA) Is tricky and not guaranteed to work. My review for this product: Look for something else better from a company who is not obsessed with nickel and diming their customers to death over some ridiculous accessory.

Recently bought this thing after saving up for months. I pretty much ripped it out of the box, plugged it in, powered it on, went through the very quick and simple setup process, and in minutes it was ready for use. I’ve now had it for a few days and already it has made my life a ton easier. Being a musician that goes on the road a lot, carrying around an amp can be a huge hassle. The Kemper eliminates that hassle, while also maintaining an amazing tone. A few things to keep in mind, though:
1. It doesn’t create an EXACT carbon copy of your amp, but it comes EXTREMELY close, so close in fact that I, having played guitar for around 7 years, can barely tell the difference, and the very microscopic differences there are, are nothing that can’t be ironed out with small tweaking to the EQ, specifically the high end
2. The volume may vary depending on how the venue has their sound system set up, so that’s something to be mindful of. You may switch on and blow eardrums at some places, or you may switch on and barely hear anything in other places, so be mindful of that.
3. You will have an amazing tone, so just be mindful of that as well. Even the stock profiles sound great, but the Kemper is taken to a whole new level once you start using your own profiles, as well as commercially sold profiles, such as the ones from Tone Junkie.
The built in Performance mode also allows for a seamless switch between up to five different rigs at the click of a button, which would be impossible to do using only analog gear.
The Kemper can be a pretty big learning curve, though, especially for people like me, who have used analog gear for years, and were even leery of making the switch to digital at first. But after the initial learning curve and getting familiar with it, I promise you will be glad you made the switch.Brandon Johnson
I bought the 600w version after a ton of research and inner debate. I had solid state rack stuff in the early 90's and hated it. It always had something missing from the tone, it seemed shallow and fake. I turned into a die hard tube guy after that. I pledged never to buy any computer amp ever again. I dismissed the Kemper at first. But once I saw some videos and heard some profiles, I was a little interested. I couldn't get past buying a computer and having 1000's of tones at the turn of a knob. Once I heard it live, thru a cabinet in a rehearsal space, I was floored and very surprised. My friend went from a 68 Marshall to a 6505 to a Fender Twin Reverb with a turn of a knob in seconds. I've owned very expensive tube amps with very distinct tone signatures I thought could not be replicated. I was 100% wrong. I profiled my Engl head and did a blind test to see if I could tell the difference in tone once I shaped it up. I honestly couIdn't tell the difference. When I guessed, I picked the Kemper 4 out of 5 times. I went to the rig exchange and found a profile that was reasonably close to a 59 plexi. I tweaked it for 10 minutes. Within that 10 minutes, I saved thousands on a new tube amp. The Kemper is a perfect fit for the skeptic. There's a million forums and tutorials out there so you'll never feel lost. Once you learn the menus and how to dial in a tone or profile an amp, you're hooked. This is the most versitle amp I've ever owned. I am completely satisified.Rob
Like the title says, you can find 1000's of these for sale used and there's good reason for that. It doesn't sound like tube at all. I think it's good for the studio where I've used one. But live? If you're fine with a solid state head, then fine. The modeling really isn't any better than higher end Line 6 modeling. This past labor day, Great White was playing a festival near by. They had a total of 8 Marshall 4×12's on stage with 4 DSL 100 heads. Not one of them was powered on. So I looked around for what they were going to use, I saw 2 Kemper Profiler heads. 1 for each guitarist. The sound was absolutely terrible. Neither amp sounded anything close to a Marshall or like tube for that matter. You could hear the cab emulation a mile away. At this price point go another direction. Very useful pedal to emulate a realistic range of classic organ sounds. I've used both a Tele and a keyboard as inputs and both work fine to produce the B9 sounds. There's no delay on the signal and the response is immediate. The guitar works best when the bridge pickup is used. Changing between the 9 presets has to be done manually via a rotary switch so I will mount the unit on a short stand rather than on the floor then I can also hit the on/off with my hand. Bought this together with the C9 which gives a different range of sounds. Best new price was from GAK. Useful where a keyboard/organist is not available or as part of a solo setup.Dick p.
Utterly staggering! My band has advertised for a keyboard player for a long time and we've found absolutely no one capable of meeting our needs. The B9 has completely transformed our sound. Such songs as A Whiter Shade of Pale, I'll Put a Spell on You, Gimme Some Loving and many more sixties songs that require the keyboard sound are now easily played on guitar with amazing authenticity. My one criticism is that the 9 volt transformer lead is very flimsy and the plug insufficiently robust for hard gigging wear where reliability is essential, so a more robust power source would be an improvement. I'll find a way round that though. Although Electroharmonix also do a C9 and also a Key9, for piano-type sounds, it's a pity they haven't captured the harpsichord sound for a song like For Your Love. I'm sure it will happen, though. A superb product!John D.
I've owned and used both the EarthQuaker Devices Organizer Polyphonic Organ Emulator Guitar Effects Pedal and the Electro-Harmonix B9 Organ Machine Guitar Effects Pedal. I like both pedals. Each has pros and cons. Electro Harmonix's B9 pedal has two big pros: a greater overall variety of sounds (presets) and much more volume on tap to get the organ sound to be as loud or louder in output than the guitar sound. You can dial the B9 in just to get the organ sound with no guitar in the mix, and without using any kind of volume boost to make the organ sound as loud in the overall band mix as your guitar did before switching tones. The con is, while all of the B9's organ/key sounds are very, very good, it's hard to individually sculpt any one of the tones. You find the one you like best and go with it, and there are 9 different ones to choose from. You also can then dial in some modulation and/or the sound of the organ's keys to the sound. With the Earthquaker Devices Oganizer, there's really just one organ tone, but you can sculpt that sound more. You can add in a lower octave, a higher octave, and some chorus to the sound to get a really consistent and full effect. The Organizer has a much smaller footprint with top mounted jacks for the guitar cables, so it takes up about half as much space on your pedalboard. This may seem like an irrelevant detail, but on a pedal board as crowded as mine, I really like the smaller size of the Organizer. The Organizer's big con (and the reason I kept with the B9) is the Organizer works better to just add organ tone to the guitar tone. Getting just an organ tone alone (mixing the guitar out completely) requires a substantial volume drop. You can make up for the volume drop with boost pedals and other tweaks, but it's more of a challenge. Conversely, the B9, while it's easy to get "organ tone only," also easily allows you to dial guitar tone back in. Bottom line: I'd recommend either. The Organizer will be cheaper (and much easier to find used for even cheaper still) than the B9. If you want an organ sound blended in with your guitar tone, and lots of control over that tone the Organizer is definitely the way to go. Recently bought this thing after saving up for months. I pretty much ripped it out of the box, plugged it in, powered it on, went through the very quick and simple setup process, and in minutes it was ready for use. I’ve now had it for a few days and already it has made my life a ton easier. Being a musician that goes on the road a lot, carrying around an amp can be a huge hassle. The Kemper eliminates that hassle, while also maintaining an amazing tone. A few things to keep in mind, though:
1. It doesn’t create an EXACT carbon copy of your amp, but it comes EXTREMELY close, so close in fact that I, having played guitar for around 7 years, can barely tell the difference, and the very microscopic differences there are, are nothing that can’t be ironed out with small tweaking to the EQ, specifically the high end
2. The volume may vary depending on how the venue has their sound system set up, so that’s something to be mindful of. You may switch on and blow eardrums at some places, or you may switch on and barely hear anything in other places, so be mindful of that.
3. You will have an amazing tone, so just be mindful of that as well. Even the stock profiles sound great, but the Kemper is taken to a whole new level once you start using your own profiles, as well as commercially sold profiles, such as the ones from Tone Junkie.
The built in Performance mode also allows for a seamless switch between up to five different rigs at the click of a button, which would be impossible to do using only analog gear.
The Kemper can be a pretty big learning curve, though, especially for people like me, who have used analog gear for years, and were even leery of making the switch to digital at first. But after the initial learning curve and getting familiar with it, I promise you will be glad you made the switch.Brandon Johnson
I bought the 600w version after a ton of research and inner debate. I had solid state rack stuff in the early 90's and hated it. It always had something missing from the tone, it seemed shallow and fake. I turned into a die hard tube guy after that. I pledged never to buy any computer amp ever again. I dismissed the Kemper at first. But once I saw some videos and heard some profiles, I was a little interested. I couldn't get past buying a computer and having 1000's of tones at the turn of a knob. Once I heard it live, thru a cabinet in a rehearsal space, I was floored and very surprised. My friend went from a 68 Marshall to a 6505 to a Fender Twin Reverb with a turn of a knob in seconds. I've owned very expensive tube amps with very distinct tone signatures I thought could not be replicated. I was 100% wrong. I profiled my Engl head and did a blind test to see if I could tell the difference in tone once I shaped it up. I honestly couIdn't tell the difference. When I guessed, I picked the Kemper 4 out of 5 times. I went to the rig exchange and found a profile that was reasonably close to a 59 plexi. I tweaked it for 10 minutes. Within that 10 minutes, I saved thousands on a new tube amp. The Kemper is a perfect fit for the skeptic. There's a million forums and tutorials out there so you'll never feel lost. Once you learn the menus and how to dial in a tone or profile an amp, you're hooked. This is the most versitle amp I've ever owned. I am completely satisified.Rob
Like the title says, you can find 1000's of these for sale used and there's good reason for that. It doesn't sound like tube at all. I think it's good for the studio where I've used one. But live? If you're fine with a solid state head, then fine. The modeling really isn't any better than higher end Line 6 modeling. This past labor day, Great White was playing a festival near by. They had a total of 8 Marshall 4×12's on stage with 4 DSL 100 heads. Not one of them was powered on. So I looked around for what they were going to use, I saw 2 Kemper Profiler heads. 1 for each guitarist. The sound was absolutely terrible. Neither amp sounded anything close to a Marshall or like tube for that matter. You could hear the cab emulation a mile away. At this price point go another direction. Not a huge selection of amp models, but they are very solid, diverse and with all the fx available you can definitely key in the sound you want – on your smartphone screen. I was impressed from the moment I hooked this small tabletop amp up. It’s got big sound for such a small package. The app is decent too, but could use some more songs to jam with. I think that overall this is a fun way to work on your music late at night or when the mood and inspiration hits. It’s loud, but not so much as it would bug any neighbors or house guests. I use it just as a Bluetooth speaker as well to jam out to my favorite tunes. I would highly recommend this little beast of an amp for its tight bass response and it’s amazing functionality. Good for busking and practice with nice tones. The wireless and drums are nice features . Good size for traveling and no need for outlet with rechargeable battery. I just completed my Mod 102 kit. An excellent experience! I was delighted with the quality of components, clarity of instructions, and, perhaps most importantly, the sound of the amp. It is very loud – currently running into my Fender Twin Reverb cab (2×12) and very sweet! I will be running it into a new 1×12 cab with a new Celestion G12 M Heritage 'Greenback' when I get a case for the speaker (on order). My only criticism (and something to look out for) is that the chassis is very nicely painted in gray gunmetal paint. Even following the directions to file all the holes, it is very hard to get a good ground connection at every point a terminal strip connects. I worried about this, and about 1/3rd of the way through the build, took an ohm meter to check all the connections, and as I had suspected, some of the connections were not great (9-10 ohms or so!) So I removed the terminal strips (with the components I had already soldered still attached) and scraped away the paint under the tabs of the strips to ensure a good connection. Re-testing showed virtually zero resistance. I'd strongly recommend scraping the paint away at all holes under the chassis before getting started on the build. Even better, suggest that Amplified Parts leave the inside chassis unpainted (at least around the important holes). Aside that one criticism, I am delighted with the kit and with Amplified Parts. Everything was delivered promptly and they are a class outift. I'll probably try some of their other kits soon.vpmerlyn
I spent three evenings building the MOD102. The instructions are very easy to understand and the amp has a great Fender sound. I had one grounding issue that was easily fixed with a little help from tech support, which was excellent. If you're good at following step by step instructions and can solder well this is a fun little amp to build. Only small issue is the labels. They could stand an improvement.Brandon
I just finished this amp build and it sounds fantastic! I also just finished a Marshall 18 Watt clone and I have to say that the Mod102+ holds its own very nicely alongside the Marshall. In fact, I will probably use the Mod102+ for recording because it sounds amazing at lower volumes (the Marshall is loud AF). Honestly, if I were only going to build one of them today, it would be the Mod. I'm blown away by the tone! Great kit with excellent instructions. Great bang for the buck. The parts all seem to be top quality. I love the old style cloth solid core wire, too. I find it much easier to work with than modern stranded wire. The labels are a bit lame but I covered them with packing tape as suggested before cutting them out and they look fine. If you're thinking about building an amp, build this one.danjbeckett

I have never offered a product review for any product but I had to make an exception for this one. I am 69 years old, have been playing music for over 50 years, and I have just begun learning the harmonica. This amp is perfect for me for a number of reasons. First of all, it's portable. I can take it anywhere – from my living room – to that picnic table at the park – to my guitar player's front porch. I've had it for a while and I'm still on the batteries that came with it. (You can get an optional power supply for it if you want.) Second – it sounds great and has plenty of volume for personal practice and for use in small settings. With the GAIN and VOLUME controls, you can easily get the response you want. The EQ control only makes a subtle difference in frequency response but nothing dramatic. The DELAY function, however, is very effective and fun to use. Next – a variety of additional input and output jacks make it very flexible. I can plug in my MP3 player and play along with a backing track, for example. It also has a headphone jack, an extension speaker jack, and a DC power jack. Finally – and most importantly – It's fun to use and, because of that, I find myself practicing longer and enjoying it more. I'm new at holding a mic and at first it felt awkward. Now, because the FLY 3W is so much fun to use, holding the mic has become second nature. OK – now you're waiting for the downside. Well, other than the EQ control comments I made earlier, I don't have any. At first, I thought it could benefit from a handle but, upon closer inspection, I discovered the recessed finger grip on the top of the case. (Very clever Blackstar.) This is a well designed portable practice amp. (It even looks aesthetically pleasing.)Bill
First things first; this combo pack DOES include the power supply but batteries are NOT included in the combo pack. Despite the great reviews, don't expect this to sound like a full-size amp; the small speaker mean this amp lacks low end. The pair does sound OK playing in stereo music through the aux input; good detail and sound quality except for the missing bass. As a practice amp, especially through headphones, this thing rocks; with the ISF control you can make it sound like a Fender or a Marshall Amp. Cleans are good but the high gain channel can sound a bit messy if you crank it to 11. The amplifier is more than loud enough for home practice even without doubling the power to 6 watts by adding the second speaker. I don't own a full-size electric amp but I've found out that running the cab-simulated headphone output into my acoustic amp's aux input gives an excellent equivalent so I probably won't bother with a 'real' electric guitar amp; this setup sounds sooo good.Dave W
I was very pleasantly surprised and the range of EQ and the control of compression the Fly 3Bass gives me, not only a great practice amp but mic it up through a PA and it sounds amazing. Great running on batteries (last about 12 hours) or mains. I did a back garden set with couple of friends on acoustic guitars me on electric bass via Fly 3 and it sounded really good so i am very pleased with my purchase. Only thing i had to do was back off tone and bass enhancer on my active bass as it slightly overpowered the amp but i get that on my stage rig as well so expected that.Barry J.

Overall: I've been playing through a Headrush gigboard and needed something different that was just as easy to use, had plenty of tones that were inspiring, that didn't cost as much. I've owned a few Line 6 products over the 30 years of playing music and decided to buy the Pod Go. So worth it! The tones were better than expected, and if you can't afford the Helix series, this is the best choice for a floor unit under $500. The built in expression pedal with toe switch is perfect. You can switch between volume and wah wah or other parameters just by pressing the toe switch in the expression pedal. Basically you don't have to have another expression pedal. The built in pedal can do what you need. I am not tech savvy, I bought the Headrush gigboard last year because of how easy it is to use. I didn't think a floor unit could be. Then comes the Pod Go. It's actually much easier to use than the Headrush. Granted the two have different features but I found making your own sounds easier with the Pod Go. It seems I make them in a shorter time. The color display along with color footswitches make organizing sounds easier than making coffee. If you need a floor unit under 500 the Pod Go is the best choice on the market. If you're a metal head or a traditional Jazz player or love the complexity of Fusion, the Pod Go has your sound.
I was looking at purchasing a Helix LT and upon researching I came across the Pod Go Wireless. It does everything I required from the Helix but at less than half the price, size and weight. You can dial in some great tones, I use it through an 80w Marshall combi straight into the FX return (turning off the cab sim on the Pod) and it sounds very impressive. The amount of effects to choose from is incredible and you can tweak so many variables to get that perfect tone. The wah treadle is very good but it’s not so great when used as a volume pedal as it doesn’t seem to gradually increase/decrease the volume, it’s almost on/off. The wireless feature is very good, I’ve not had any connection issues and don’t have to worry about treading on my cable, which I’m very prone to. Overall, for what I need in a jamming/garage band capacity it is perfect and I’m very, very pleased with the purchase. PMT delivered the next day, it was very well packaged and was the best price I found on the internet.Martin M.
Overall: I wish I could say something positive about this unit. Although it does have some great sounds and features, the fact that it is constantly having to be rebooted because it freezes up or shuts down on its own make it pretty much worthless (Yes I’ve done all the updates and other futile suggestions from the support folks at line 6). Add to that a power supply that is a complete piece of crap. It’s cheap, fragile and generally a bad design. It is almost impossible to find a replacement because line 6 wanted it that way. Simply using a Standard, generic replacement (9v 2500 mA) Is tricky and not guaranteed to work. My review for this product: Look for something else better from a company who is not obsessed with nickel and diming their customers to death over some ridiculous accessory.
