Does exactly what it's supposed to do. In a crowded room, with lots of cell phones and laptops, I plugged the receiver into my pedal board,and the transmitter into one of my Strats. I had no drops or interference of any kind. Units were left on for about 4.5 hours, and had plenty of charge to play at home. . . for some time in fact, and the indicators NEVER showed a need for recharge, I just did it. Easier to use that the packet models which I own 3 of. Sound is very clear. One note to buyers this will not work on an acoustic guitar with a pre-amp, but for electric easy to use and switch between guitars.ald015

The product is great for use. The only issue I have, is that the unit defaults to the 1st setting each time it is turned on. If you are using more than 1 (has 1-4 settings), one has to change the transmitter and receiver to the desired setting when turned on.augerunl

THe product came fast. Charge time was about 4 hours. the led lights on the receiver are bad, so no lit. it was hard to find out but when i connected the guitar and it start to sound, its when I realize it was a led issue, not a device functionality. While is fully charge, it works perfect. once it goes half of power, you will start noticing interference on the signal. I would say, this device will work great for performance not longer than 2 hours. Try to stay away of multiple wireless signals…balvanete

I have it hooked up to my guitar. So far its been performing extremely well – no degradation of tone and no lag whatsoever. Plan to use it in a band setting soon, so we will see how it performs there.Regarding Mute – when I switched to Auto scan, the unit went into Mute mode, and there was no mention in the manual about this. Power on/off didnt fix it. I noticed at least one other person had the same problem, but I figured it must be something basic since the unit was working fine earlier. All it took was to re-sync the IR – aim the transmitter IR directly at the receiver IR and Mute was gone.RJ

Use in live performances with a Christian rock group. Currently using two sets of U2 wireless guitar systems and one U4 wireless monitor system simultaneously. One of my U2's were defective. I first believed the problem was they interfered with each other. Finally figured out that one set was cutting out and buzzing. Customer service was already working with me to help solve the problem. I mailed the defective set to Xvive and replaced the defective set immediately. I had the new set in about 4 days. Customer service and communication were excellent for me.James

I originally picked these up to use as a temporary replacement when my shure wireless was damaged. They performed great at home and have a fairly decent range. They also performed great at rehearsal. They failed miserably in a live setting. These run on a digital signal and will pick up interference from other digital signals. I tried using these live at several venues and while they would work fine during a sound check as soon as crowds came into the mix they became unreliable. Latency, distortion of signal, and an almost underwater sound are the most common issues I experienced. It was not range related as I stayed within 15 feet of the receiver. While I found these to be useless for live performances I use them all the time at home and at rehearsals. That is where these have shined for me. They're very convenient and I can throw them into a guitar case and go to rehearsal. They'll last an average of 3 to 3 1/2 hours on a charge and perform adequately in those scenarios. After 3 1/2 hours a noticeable loss in signal occurs and has since I first purchased them. These are durable and as long as you don't intentionally abuse them they should hold up well. I've had mine for about 3 years as of this review. For what they cost they perform well. These are convenient for practice and rehearsal. They are not reliable for live or studio.Mike

Overall: I took a chance buying this unit because the price was so low, I figured that if it wasn't any good I would not have been out very much money. I have had it for 6 months now and have taken it into a ton of live situations – I have never noticed any signal degradation, interference, or any other noticeable change to my sound output when compared to using a cable.Because the units are rechargeable and thus do not incur the cost of replacing batteries, I started using them for my daily practice routine. I can say that I consistently get 8+ hours out of a charge, and when the units do start to fail because of low battery I can plug them in and re-charge them in surprisingly little time.I do notice a very slight background hum when using them with headphones through my practice rig, so I do not think that they would be appropriate for a studio setting. But I have never seen anyone ever try to record studio tracks with a wireless unit anyway, so no big loss there. The hum that is audible in the headphones is barely noticeable, and it is not present at all through an amp and speakers.Hard to believe it took someone so long to come up with this concept. These could not be any easier to use, they sound just like using a quality cable, and you never have the expense of replacement batteries. I have used wireless systems that cost many times as much as these and did not get this level of performance.The units are made of plastic and do not have a super high-quality feel about them. My first performance with the unit, I placed AA batteries in the compartment and closed until latch fully closed. On the 2nd set, the latch came undone on its own. Batteries fell out and two parts (latch and battery contact plate) also fell through the cracks of the stage. I ordered the replacement parts on full compass. I put the replacement parts in and they line up perfectly, but now I'm wondering how in the world are these two pieces going to stay in place? Theres kinda nothing keeping them from falling out again. Thinking that I must be missing something, I watch YouTube videos to look at the compartment in review videos. Only to realize that most of these review videos mentioned my exact same problem. And one of them suggested using a zip tie to hold the battery latch shut. So anyone considering this unit should not only expect that the battery door may open on its own at anytime. But also the latch and battery contact plate will definitely fall out when it does. There seems to be nothing about the unit itself to prevent this, so it is left to you to figure out how rig it up with duct tape or zip ties or whatever on your brand new product… Not ideal. It works otherwise, but I highly suggest another brand or model.Nate

I've been using this for live gigs in a variety of venues for two years. For a while I packed a backup wired preamp and cables just in case, but I have never once had an issue of dropouts or poor signal transmission. Once I thought I had an issue, but I had accidentally moved the channel selector switch on the receiver, and that was easily remedied. It has been perfectly reliable otherwise. A lot of reviews mention the belt clip breaking off. I actually just keep the receiver in my pocket. Then it's hidden from view, and it's easier to switch guitars (compared to clipping it to a guitar strap). For the batteries, I read about some concerns with rechargeable batteries, but I bought a 4-pack of Panasonic Eneloops and they've worked great. I charge the main pair before every gig and keep the other pair as a backup and have never needed the backup. I've played for at least six hours without recharging. Overall, it's been really fun to have a wireless guitar setup. I mainly wanted it so I could walk out in front of the stage to check our sound on the gigs where I'm the sound man. But I never realized how nice it would feel to not be walking on cables while I play. Just taking a few steps around the stage to adjust things or interact with my bandmates feels so much better than when I was plugged in. With plug-and-play setup and trouble-free operation, this has been a great value for me.arlotone

I bought this a week ago, as I was still using an old-school set up, and wasn't crazy about my bass sound being as compressed as it was. Considered one of the other systems in the line, and decided for this price, it was worth it. Its range is listed as 30 meters or so, and after thinking it over, what are the odds I'm going to get more than about 30-45 FEET away? Even on the bigger stages I play every so often? Brought it home and plugged it in. Tonewise, it was night and day. Even my bride/prime roadie could tell the difference. Just for fun, I took that off, and plugged in one of my acoustics. Bright and clear. from all across the house in different rooms. Took it with me to a big show on a big stage (small theater set-up.) Had it up and running in minutes. Set it to channel 4 (completely arbitrary choice.) I see what the other reviewers mean about the flimsy battery door, but I keep my transmitter in a pouch (about $10-$15 at any retailer) attached to my strap, and this transmitter is a pretty snug fit. Solves the door problem and clip problem all at once, along with some padding for all the jumping around I like to do. If there were any drop outs during the show (we went about 50 minutes), I didn't hear them. My tone was a thing of beauty, and I got to run around and entertain. It's only a week old, so we'll see what happens in six months.J-Thunder

Overall: I bought this as I thought it would be an upgrade to the Line 6 G50 wireless. This one has a nice feature where it will scan for an open frequency which is helpful when the sound engineer uses Wifi. Unfortunately, I got terrible feedback when I used the distortion channel on my amplifier. I lowered the volume control in the battery pack, but it had to be brought down to almost nothing to get rid of the feedback, then I had no volume. I tried different channels to no avail.I use an Egnater Tourmaster 4100 half stack (all tube) and a Boss ME 80 for effects and play a Jackson Soloist with active EMG pick-ups. I don't know if any of those contributed to the feed back, but I am unable to use this product and must return it. Very disappointed.Dave

This product was recommended to me by Musicians Friends as a replacements for my Sennheiser unit of the same price range. First off this thing is not really meant for a mobile application. I tried to get this thing setup for a wedding event and was not happy with the controls on either the transmitter or the receiver. Trying to adjust the volume on the receiver requires a screwdriver to adjust the POT on the back of the device. Why they don't place a gain knob on the front is beyond me. The transmitter isnt much better, the omni lapel mic didnt seem all that omni to where it could pick up the vows of the bride and groom. Needless to say I returned this.DJ Mark

So far I've used it for practice, got 2 upcoming gigs. But this is what I've been dreaming of. No more getting tangled in the cord, tripping over my cable. I can move freely. Jump up, hop around, truly rock out. I play like classic Mark Hoppus, like Mike Herrera, good ol 90's warped tour punk rock. I highly recommend getting this to any guitar or bass player who like to jump around, move around on stage.Boom

Rock band has surpassed itself with its latest version of the Rock Band Stratocaster. No clacky strum bar that ruins play, this time has even improved on previous models, that compared to the racket made by Guitar Hero peripherals is playable without having to use noise cancelling headphones. And because the neck buttons are quite subtle it also looks like a real guitar. OK one that's 3/4 the size. My new fave guitar peripheral.houndofculaine

For the price, this unit is absolutely fantastic. Because my band uses a lot of active instruments, I wanted to test this out with powered acoustic and bass electronics. It overloaded when I was purposefully playing really aggressively on those with the volume all the way up, but anything less than that was perfectly usable. Using it on a passive electric was fantastic, as well as a passive J bass.The signal was also pretty clean when using a totally passive transducer system KK pure mini, but did start to squelch when I was playing super quietly. If youre a strummer, it was actually pretty sweet.Pros-Doesnt overload nearly as easily as other sub-100 units-Dynamic range is STELLAR, with barely any background noise.-Not in the 2.4ghz range, which isnt important for everyone, but my band uses a router on our mixer.Cons-Had some connection issues when plugged into our metalwood, largely-digital rack rig. We run everything DI or through modelers-Transmitter and Receiver arent labeled? I had to go to the manualOverall, we arent going to use it live, but it 100% could be used as a quick hookup during practices, especially if youre running a traditional analog setup.Gregory

I got this over the PTG-11 because with my rig, I can connect the transmitter to my guitar and the receiver to my multi effects pedal board. Its small and compact…its on UHF not wifi so theres no interference. So who is this for? This is for a player that uses a pedal board and pretty much stays in place but just wants to be free from wires.Ron

it doesnt have a very long range…but if you have like a pedal board or your mixer is right up on stage with you or very close and you just want to be free from wires…this would be a great solution. I would pair this with the PTM-10 in ear monitor system and youre completely untethered. Free.Vey

I had the receiver plugged into my overdrive pedal and when I went to step on the pedal, I also stepped on the receiver which broke the 1/4 plug off into the pedals input. Doh! I bought the 2 year warranty so I filed a claim over the phone, shipped the broken Xvive U2 back to the warranty center, and waited for my warranty gift card Meanwhile, I bought the Line 6 G30 wireless system. I did not like it as much as the Xvive U2…I got a lot of interference from people's cell phones that were standing front stage and close to my receiver, so I switched to a guitar cord mid set. Plus, every time I switched guitars, I had to unplug the transmitter cord AND remove the transmitter from my strap, 2 steps while the Xvive U2 transmitter just hangs from your guitar input. I use a lot of different guitars in a show. My only complaint is that it is made of plastic and feels delicate so when the receiver is plugged into a pedal, be careful not to step on it. I wish they would have made the housing out of light aluminum at least. So I returned the Line 6 g30 for a full refund and re-purchased the Xvive U2 with my warranty gift card and also purchased the 3 year warranty this time! I play in a NIRVANA tribute band andKEVIN

First impressions seem good. It is well made, metal case, will stand up to some knocks. Sounds excellent, excellemt latency – to my ear. Transmitter is also metal, wuite heavy, but stays on my strap, so far. Looking forward to using it live, one day soon.Ron W.

This one finally hits all the marks – transparent sound quality, ultra-low latency, rock-solid construction, ample battery life, a zillion routing options and features, including per-patch-independent, clear, clean gain. I play bass in a touring tribute band, on medium-to-large stages, for audiences up to 10K. No dropouts yet, cable-feel responsiveness, plays nice with other Line 6 Relay units on stage. A lot of the reviews posted here are for Strats, so I'm not sure what's going on. Anyway, I bought the red sparkle Squier Bullet Tele. The finish is gorgeous and that's what prompted me to do a spontaneous purchase. I have only experienced owning USA Teles, but I've played some Squiers that really impressed me. This one? Not so much. I don't detect any finish on the back of the neck although I'm sure it has a sealer of some sort. The body finish is nice, but the bridge hardware is cheaply made and I'll be replacing that for sure. Same goes for the tuners. I'm pretty sure it has some high frets because it goes dead starting at the 10th fret, but some of that was back bow. I loosened the truss and got rid if it, but now when I sight down the neck the forward bow is pretty obvious. I don't notice the frets being sharp on the ends. It now plays plays pretty good after sitting long enough for the truss Rod to settle, but I may need to tighten it just a little to get rid of some of the forward bow. The neck has a very comfortable profile. The body is thinner than my American Teles, but it doesn't bother me – in fact it's lighter which I enjoy. The body is Poplar and that's fine by me. I may leave the back of the neck alone for now because it actually feels pretty good, aesthetics are certainly lacking, but the body makes up for that. I'm sure with a little patience and help from my friends I'll have a nice instrument. All the basics are there. As is, it's not all that great, but still better than my first electric guitar! -!an old Kalamazoo single pickup thing with a bolt on neck back in the mid sixties. Like the title says, this thing has potential. I probably couldn't buy a finished body for what I paid.Ronnie

I bought my black metallic Squier Bullet eight years ago when GC was having a Columbus Day sale. I was looking for a guitar to which I could permanently mount my Roland GR-33 guitar synth's GK2a pickup. Previously I had the pickup mounted on my '96 Strat, and I didn't like this fit because I couldn't close my Strat's case with the pickup installed. I have a gig bag for this Squier, and it fits fine in the bag with pickup installed. Anyway, about the guitar. Right out of the box, it played great, requiring only a minimal amount of action adjustment. I was surprised at how good the pickups sounded, it being a Bullet and all. But the humbucker sounds especially nice when playing the guitar through my Marshall. The neck pickup has a decent sound, but not quite up to the snuff of a good alnico pickup. Still, for what the guitar cost, I really can't complain. If I want to, at some later date, I can always change out the neck pickup to a better alnico model. One thing I especially like about this black Bullet is its looks. The photos here at GC don't show it off all that well, but the guitar body's finish is metallic and the pickguard is a heavy metal flake. It looks spectacular under the lights. And the black hardware does a great job of completing that black look. The Bullet's body is thinner than a typical Strat or Squier Affinity or Classic Vibe body. The result is a light weight guitar, but there is no sacrifice in tone.Michael

I would first like to begin with- I normally would be giving a 5 star rating of this unit/Squier, as I have typically never had problems prior to the recent/earlier this year upset regarding shipping containers/etc being paused/sitting in the ocean/etc, delaying container delivery. PLEASE READ ON FOR FULL EXPLANATION. Two imperative points- 1. The fret ends were so sharp, when I say it was not playable (both sides/neck in its entirety), I mean, it was not playable (THE DATE OF INSPECTION WAS EARLIER THIS YEAR, AND I IMMEDIATELY ASSOCIATED THE FRET ENDS PROBLEM BEING DUE TO THE SHIPS BEING DELAYED/SITTING IN THE OCEAN/ETC- It looked to me like maybe between March and July of this year, although, I couldn't quite make out the stamped month). As well, the serial # of the guitar, of course, was of this year/'22. I maintain/work on most all my guitars, and I normally would've tightened up the fret ends myself, however, there was a hairline crack on the red sparkle finish at the bass side neck joint (which i just couldn't accept, visually), as well as a small tooling gash along the top edge of the headstock. The replacement/reordered guitar arrives tomorrow. 2. THE NEWER UNITS (AS, ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS A 2022-BUILT UNIT) ARE TOP-MOUNT/STRING THROUGH THE BACK OF THE BRIDGE, NOT "STRING-THRU" as the description indicates (and, with Squier bridge mounting, these are 5-screw mount plates, which, if ever you want to upgrade your hardware, particularly, w/the bridge, you must find an aftermarket unit that is "string through the back", along w/the correct string spacing (with Squier, they're 54mm, typically), and you'll typically need to redrill given it's rare to find plates that have Squier mounting dimensions that provided string through the back holes. I'm upgrading to a Babicz, given the results found. Also, there are two string trees (the second being a tree for both the D and G strings), and it looks great, actually, with both. Overall, I was impressed with the finish, as it was nearly flawless (aside from the hairline finish crack mentioned previously). The fretwire/fretwork, felt great….I found maybe two or so "slight" dead spots, which weren't enough of a "ping", or string buzz to be of concern, or critiquing the fretwork negatively. Rather, I was impressed with the fretwork. As well, it's important to note that the mounting of the bridge, along with the neck positioning/etc, was spot-on. No misalignment of the bridge mount/etc (and the same goes for the nut spacing). I've always been impressed with what Fender/Squier/Jackson are putting out. The quality is typically quite high…as for this unit, the quality is high, but the results of the environmental dilemma with either being stuck in a container offshore, or, sitting in a facility for weeks/months/etc, have had quite the impact on this guitar. As an important example, I had purchased a Bullet Tele last year (the unit in Burst color offered here through MF), and it was/is flawless, and I completely upgraded every part. As I own approx'ly 53 guitars ranging primarily from ESP to Jackson (some of which in the better than $2K range), I love to take what's titled as a "beginner" guitar, and totally hotrod it with high end parts (such is the case w/this guitar). As mentioned above, I've reordered the guitar, as MusiciansFriend provided me a generous discount (without having to ask) to accommodate me. Upgrades- 1. Babicz Full Contact Tele "Ashtray" bridge Gold, 2. Genuine Fender Gold control plate, 3. Fender Infinity Gold strap locks, 4. Gold input jack Ferrule, 5. Bought this on sale with my Backstage point accumulation. Always considered going wireless a real luxury but I couldn't pass up this Stupid Deal. The Perception Wireless Instrument system works as advertised. Some intermittent amount of low-volumn noise that seems to not occur on a hard-wired connection. But you only hear this when not playing. Going wireless really helps if you are cramped for space and are always stepping on your cable or fussing with overhead routing schemes in your home studio. I'd be reluctant to take it gigging… just one more thing to forget and leave behind. If you have the bread or any Backstage points getting close to expiration this is a good product to spend it on.Alex

This wireless microphone is WAY better than I expected! I originally purchased this microphone to use mostly for speaking presentations, thinking that I'd use it as a back-up vocal mic. I play keyboards, so a corded mic suits me fine. I absolutely LOVE this wireless mic! It is now my main vocal microphone. It sounds great! It's crisp, clear, punchy, and outperforms other wireless mics at 4 times the cost! The range is very good with a fresh battery. I've used this mic for presentations in a high school gymnasium, and never had any problems with range or interference. But I've noticed that when the battery in the transmitter gets weak, you will lose range. A fresh battery will last a good 8 hours. As with any battery operated device, be sure to carry extra batteries!Jimmy

There is plastic and then there is plastic. These units are made of ABS plastic like LEGO blocks. They are extremely durable. I had my first gig with it last Saturday, and of course the first thing I did was drop it about 3 feet onto the concrete floor of the brewery. The battery compartment popped open and one of the batteries came out. There wasn't a scratch on the transmitter. I replaced the battery, scanned for the clearest channel on the receiver, set the transmitter to match, and had clear, perfect sound for the whole 3 hour show. It sounds better than a cable, IMO. Zero latency. There is maybe a slight coloration and compression, but like Shure microphones, any coloration is in a good way that helps it pop in a mix.Andy

The Shure BLX14 Is an amazing lapel wireless microphone system. The sound is clean and clear. The packaging was remarkable. I was impressed the moment I opened the box. The first one we purchased was a birthday gift to me. After plugging it in and it sing it for a few weeks there was no question that I would be purchasing a second one for my wife. The microphone is durable and dependable. We have never experienced any interference from any of our other devices in the church. I've been gigging with the G50 combo for a little more than 2 1/2 years now. To say the least I am more than satisfied, I've learned that leaving the trans and receiver at Channel 1 cuts down most of the co-channel interference issues. As more clubs move to 5 Ghz Access Points for their WiFi, I'm also finding less issues getting a clean channel vs the old 2.4 Ghz APs I mounted my G50 base unit to my pedal board, so I'm never more than a few feet from it. That provides even more reliability. Battery life is outstanding. At rehearsal I use Tenergy Centura rechargeable batteries, I get about 5 to 6 hours on a charge, With daily use, I get about a year of overall useful life out of a set 4. For reliability I use regular Energizer MAX AAs at gigs. I can plug in the transmitter into my Dingwall ABZ 3x at the beginning of the gig and don't touch the transmitter until it's time to pack up at the end of the night. Battery level is still at 3 hours to go!. Set and forget it. There were some comments by others regarding the physical durability of the transmitter and stuff like the door and cable. Absolutely buy Neotech cover and mount it to your strap. Don't even think of using the belt clip. I use Lucid Audio Project custom premium cables for the transmitter to bass connection.. Solid compact construction, great signal quality with no loss or interference, great range of distance. Multiple channels and mute switch are a great addition from what I'm used to. The cable simulator/high-end rolloff is a nice touch. I have no real complaints with this unit although The transmitter cable is a bit flimsy as they unfortunately usually are with most wireless systems in my experience. So typically I'm having a slightly difficult time finding a good spot to clip the transmitter on my strap or belt, to keep my movements from breaking the plug to jack connection in an angled strat style jack without putting undue stress on the cable by wrapping it around the strap-pin or anything like that. This is more a jack problem than the transmitter cable problem but a sturdier one would help. So far I'm still enjoying wireless feeedom with my guitar and basses with minimal jack connection cut-out.Jim

I used my new Shure wireless microphone setup for the first time last Saturday night with my band and was very happy with it's performance (more importantly, our sound man was very impressed). It works great with my trumpet to provide optimal sound quality and versatility. I replaced an older system that was having trouble navigating the current state of wi-fi, radio waves running rampant, etc.- Can you say distortion??? I bought the GLX-D wireless system – GLXD4 Receiver with Beta98H/C microphone. 1 suggestion – On the transmitter, there is a small rubber cover over the Micro USB Charging Port and Link Button. There are 2 small rubber tabs on this cover that will not go back into the 2 holes from whence they came. Not a big deal, but fyi.Jeff L

As I already own the same Shure system for guitar, this was the logical choice for a quality hands free system that eliminates the microphone stand. The added benefit is that I am now completely isolated from dodgy mains in pubs and clubs that can occasionally put a sting in the lips of an unwary singer. The receiver unit is very light weight but truly versatile in its ability to self select a frequency and even change it seamlessly as one plays. I particularly like that it will also simultaneously charge a battery while playing. Battery life of both my Shure transmitters is exceptional. At least 4 gigs per charge! The metal bodied transmitter gives the impression that you could drop it from the second floor and it would still work! A truly P&P piece of equipment. From the moment I switched on it performed exactly as expected without clashing with the guitar unit.urbanmamal

I haven't used a wireless system for over 20 years, so when I decided to get back into it, I wanted to make sure I got the good one. Well, Shure makes a fantastic system. I absolutely love the onboard charging system, soooo convenient. No more buying batteries constantly. And the metal body packs are fantastic. Also, no more flimsy antennas either, man they designed these things well. Highly recommend.Jason B.
