I received one of these cases with me Fender American Elite Shawbucker Stratocaster. I've loved the case, no problems and has alot of protection. I decided to buy a "beater" Fender Player Strat that I didn't have to worry as much about as my other premium guitars. It unfortunately does not come with a case. This case fit my MIJ Jazzmaster like a dream! I was able to get a discount with Musician's Friend as the previous case I was going to buy was on backorder. This case has far better specs than the SKB case I was going to buy and its well worth the money. Supports the neck properly, and has a nice compartment. The only thing I wish this case had more of was I wish the compartment was big enough to fit extra pickguards. Its a minor gripe and still has plenty of room for tuners, strings, picks, and the trem arm. I WISH they made this case for a Mustang bass. I love this style because it's fits my vintage 1980's Squier Japanese Jazz bass AND modern Fender Precision bass. Fits the instruments like a glove! Purchased this case for my Fender Precision Bass. Mostly, will be kept in my studio, and occasionally on a few short gigs. Case seems sturdy, and I like the compartment size suitable for a strap, cable, etc. Also features a locking latch which is very handy. Pricewise, its a very nice case for my needs, without going into more expensive flight cases for touring. Very satisfied and should last for quite a while. Would buy this product again. Decent case for the money. Dimensions are a little off from whats advertised. Lower bout width is around 13-1/4 instead of 13-1/2 so my BC Rich Eagle fits a little snug. Overall, no more than I use it, itll work. Sure beats paying $300 for the actual BC Rich case. Also, if your headpiece sets at a steeper angle, it will put pressure on the headpiece. I think the price of guitar cases are totally inflated and to get one on sale is something one has to do to stretch the dollar. Okay, that being said, this case fits my China made Fender strat Squier to a tee. The eye catching tweed fits the Fender vibe. If you noticed my cons was durability i.e. the cases tweed look is attractive, but you wonder as road gigs pile up if the tweed doesnt start to tear and expose the raw components exterior of the case underneath? If they had lacquered the tweed exterior, the case itself would have a fighting chance to slip and slide into vans and carriage areas with little thought of rips and tears it would acquire in a short time. Again, I dont gig much these days, but if I was looking at a case long term that could withstand the road, this case would questionable unless you "handle with care" when you transport and load and unload your gear.James R
I didn't feel like spending over $200 and waiting until who knows when, for a Gibson Explorer case, so I picked one of these up. For the money, it's a good case. I carry my guitars with me to shows, so they are always in my vehicle, so this case does the job. I will say it feels a tad more sturdy than the Gator version of this case, and it's slightly smaller, which is a good thing given how large an Explorer case has to be. The only improvement I could wish for, is to make it tad smaller still. There's still several inches of room from the headstock to the edge of the case. I purchased this knowing that it wouldn't be a super durable road case but adequate for storage and playing out now and then. In those ways, it met my expectations. The case is made of very thin plywood, but not so flimsy that it can't function as a good light duty case. The hardware appears to be of decent quality and all of the latches lined up well. The lining was neatly applied and actually fairly soft and plush. It is a universal fit case, so I wasn't expecting it to be completely form fitting to my Telecaster. It will move around a bit in the case when you transport it. It could use better neck support, as well. But overall, not bad for the price. Where this product really came up short is with the application of the tweed covering. The tweed was applied over wood chips and small voids in the wood frame. No effort was made in sanding or prepping the wood prior to applying the cover material. This is only cosmetic, but looks really sloppy and substandard. Maybe I just got a rough one. I didn't expect perfection at this price, but I don't think this case ever should have left the factory like this.Pat

Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. I purchased the tweed/red case and really love it. I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE
This case is not what I expected from a G&G case. I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure.The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Purchased Fender's T-bucket Bass a few months ago, but the store didn't have the case. I bought this case mainly as a way to keep my acoustic humidified over the winter. So far it's doing a great job at that. My only issue is that the flap to the storage compartment was cut very crooked leaving a pretty sizable gap on one side. Large enough for a Kyser capo to fit through. For a brand like Fender and for this price, I would expect a little better quality control, so I'm taking one star off. It's not enough of a flaw to send back, but it's definitely enough to be disappointing and irritating. Otherwise great case. I would still recommend it.

The plush lining was nice and it fit well, Without a guitar strap. I did not like the metal feet on the bottom and back of the case. They slid on smooth surfaces and one of them had been hit during manufacturing or packaging and was loose inside the back. These feet were not screwed in, just held in with a push in rivet. I love the fact that it has 2 storage compartments with lids and it fits my strat pretty well . This is definitely not a case that is meant to be taken on the road , but it is perfect for keeping my guitar safe and dust free in my home . Some of the seams in the pleather don't line up and it does seem a bit flimsy but I expected that at this price point . Beautifully designed and very attractive. It is perfect for short-term transportation of a Fender guitar. Well padded, with pockets for carrying extras. Excellent value for such a reasonable price. I love my Fender Telecaster and American Stratocaster, and I trust this gig-bag to keep them safe in short-term usage: taking to gigs or carrying the guitar personally. Obviously, for journeys where the guitar might be in the hold of an aeroplane or a van/bus, a hard case would be preferable, but if you are transporting a guitar personally, then this great-looking bag does the job brilliantly. Perfect fit for Telecaster – just snug enough. Padding is adequate for general use – glad I chooses 10mm over 5. Pockets hold cable, extra strings and picks but full size sheet music and such must be folded. Comfortable handles, good zippers, and backpack straps are padded and comfortable. This case has a narrow profile which stores easily. Materials are of high quality and appear durable. Grabbing case by top can cause tuners to move causing need for re-tune.geri-82
At first glance it looks pretty minimal, but I wanted something lightweight for a guitar that would be carefully handled–by me. Although the padding is quite thin, it has a nice heft to it and provides better cushioning than some bags I've used that are much thicker. Also, it fits a Strat like a glove, and the padding is in all the right places, so there's no flopping around inside the bag, so the guitar is really very well protected. There's only an outside accessory pocket, but big enough for a strap and extra strings. If you need a lot of features or think the guitar will be handled roughly, then maybe this isn't for you. But for most players, it's a nice bag, very light in weight and provides very good protection if you use some common sense…Lefty

Purchased this case in "Brown" and it's beautiful. Very well made and a little lighter than the epiphone brand Case. The gold hinges and latches are stronger than I had anticipated, Should last for years. The interior is solid and covering is just as well made as it's competitors brand, epiphone. It does not carry it't name sprawled in gold ink across the top of the case, yet does have a small metal name plate attached to the side by the handle.
