If you like Fender modelling amp sounds, you'll find this perfect for headphone practice. The selection of Amps is a bit more limited than in a Fender Modelling amp, and the Effects depths similarly limited, but hey, the thing is the size of a matchbox and it allows you to jam along with your online selections, via Bluetooth. Your headphones must be cable, not Bluetooth, however, to avoid latency. But as the headphone cable goes over your shoulder straight into the Mustang Micro, you are not hampered by any connecting cable to your playback device. Until you try this, you may not appreciate how liberating and convenient this is. Its pivoting jack also allows it to go into a Strat recessed socket, many others don't.Geoff
Overall: I'm very pleased with the Micro overall. Read my review below. It really is great. If I were to suggest any changes to the Mustang Micro, it would be this: 1. Include some earbuds with the amp…I mean, why not? You can buy decent earbuds for ten bucks these days…probably cost Fender fifty cents and would mean ready to go out of the box. 2. In the new model, set it up to have a bluetooth output for using wireless headphones. While not a huge deal, I'd really rather not have that wire running from the headset to the guitar. I always end up fumbling with it when taking the guitar off or putting it on. 3. Go ahead and print the basic amp settings on the Micro. The reference card works. But, just having the amp models printed on the amp itself would be handy. There is enough blank space on the Micro to accommodate this.These are just my ideas for improvements. I picked this up on a friend's recommendation as a better than average headset amplifier. My Likes: In terms of sound quality it is quite good. It is compact and I do like the USB charging feature a lot. The amp models are better than I expected and sound different with each guitar I use, just like a good amp should. The effects were a nice bonus, simple and effective. I haven't tested bluetooth connectivity yet, but I presume that it will do its job. My concerns, Use while Seated – nearly impossible,as with most headset amplifiers, especially with a side mounted jack . With my Fender Stratocaster, it is more easily used because of the top mount, but with any side mount, it gets caught on my knee and can get pulled out when seated. EQ feature. It does not seem to impact the sound very much in clean or driven settings. I would have preferred paying an extra $20 for a small set of wheels for hi/mid/low Overall it is a B+ for Fender, which could be a quick A with some more mounting options and a small 3 band EQKAS

Found mine used a my local GC. Just wanted to post on MF because it's my go to website when shopping online. I sold my half stack years ago. Been playing Electric Bass for the past 8 years. I was looking to get back into playing Guitar and needed something for my office/studio to pass the time. I was ultimately surprised by the tone in this little box! Built in Tuner, lots of presets and is footswitchabe between your two favorite presets. Footswitch sold separately. Whether you're a beginner or need something for smaller settings, this amp will do the trick!
I am very pleased with this amp and like the way it sounds. I bought it so I could have a smaller amp because with my bigger 90 Watt 1×12 amp, I need to set the volume extremely low to use it at home and sometimes it was still too loud. With my small 5" speaker 3 Watt amp the low end bass sounds were distorting when the volume was turned up. Although this 20 Watt amp surprised me with how loud it is, the Master volume control it has gives me exactly the volume I want without compromising the sound quality of the amp. It seems that no matter how low I turn the master volume it still sounds great. Try tilting it for enhanced projection. Using the FUSE software allowed me to import other people's settings to check them out. Then I was able to program the amp with the sounds I wanted. I was able to export my settings so I could save them in case something happened. I purchased the foot switch. It only will switch between 2 sounds, so I set it to switch between my rhythm sound and the same sound with a touch of distortion for leads. With the software you can switch between amp models, speaker cabinets, and add in from a large selection of pedals to tweak your sound. On your computer the effects you add in the software will actually appear as stomp box pedals, which you can place before the amp or place the effect as if it were in the effects loop. You can add up to 4 different kinds of effects. Without the software, on the fly, you can tweak the volume, gain, treble, bass, modulation effects, and delay/reverb. You can quickly save these on the fly settings by pressing the save button. The on the fly effects can be tweaked, but you can really control them precisely using the FUSE software.. I occasionally play music with some friends at their house. This amp allows me to travel as if I was taking along all my pedals, but without the hassle of actually having to carry them around and spend any setup time. I wanted to take this amp around the block before writing a review. I've had it a few weeks now so here it goes. Appearance – This is one cool looking amp. It almost looks like a blues junior in a way. It wants to be played. The little Fender logo on the front with the lightning bolt really sets it off. Almost like a hood ornament on a classic car. Very clean looking amp. Functionality – This is a big one for me and the part where I get a bit critical. First of all, the knobs are on the top of the amp. I love this. It makes changing settings much easier. I do, however wish that the effects were marked on the amp. Effects like phaser, chorus, etc are all there but you have to audibly turn the knob through them to find the one you want. I think Fender could have easily marked where the settings were. Thankfully, you are able to save your settings once you get everything dialed in the way you want. There are also various amp models to choose from which are mostly Fender amps. The amp is lightweight so carrying around isn't a problem. The back of the amp is closed which I don't like. I wish it were open so you could store stuff back there. All in all though, the amp is very user friendly. Tone – This amp sounds great! That's what I am most impressed with. It sounds like a Fender. Even the amp models like the Bassman sound really sweet. Having reverb on a practice amp is very nice. A lot of them don't. The tones you can get out of this amp are really great. I'm already planning on using for recording which was not my intentions when I purchased it. Extras – A big plus to this amp is the added feature of being able to hook it up to a computer to dial in more tones. This feature is free by the way. You can configure just about any setup you want. Going back and forth between the LT25 and LT40s to compare identifical presets, both sounded good and similar even with the differences in cabinet and speaker size. A subjective impression is that the LT25 sounded a bit more distant or maybe dispersed. The LT40s sounded a bit more focused. It was a tough call as the LT25 is less expensive but I walked out of there with the LT40S. For desktop placement and low volume practice, the LT40s sounds great and with plenty of low end. I don't need loud volume but this amp can fill a 16'x24' loft with sound. The USB connection to my laptop was initially a no go. After deleting and then reinstalling the application, it has sinced worked great!Wally
I wanted an amp for practicing that gave me a massive range of options for a reasonable amount of money. I have to say that I am very impressed with the 30 included presets and I've not even branched out into the additional ones you can add. The quality of the LT25 is fantastic, not super heavy and all the switches feel robust. I've found the sound can vary depending on the preset you choose though that is to be expected with those that have high gain. I mostly play clean and blues and this amp is fantastic for both of those. If you want a more classic rock sound there is a preset for this which I think needs a bit of tweaking. All in all very impressed and as this is my first Fender amp, I will definitely be getting another in the future.Alex G.

The built in presets all sound amazing and are easy to switch between, if you arent super techy and dont want to fiddle with the online fender tone aspect of it all the provided presets are enough to give you just about any tone you could want. It gets pretty loud for its size I dont think Ive cranked it higher than 1/2 way in respect for my neighbors. The headphone jack is also great because it always me to play silently into the night without disturbing those around me. Its super light as well and has a handle on the top of the amp so its easy to move around. It seems pretty durable, I obviously havent gone kicking it off a stage or anything but it should withstand a curious puppy or rambunctious child tripping over it a few times. Overall its a great option that doesnt break the bank if you just need something a little more travel friendly or are a first time player like me. My favorite thing about it is how many sound options it has laid out built in or online because I didn't immediately have to dump $1000 on pedals to get the sound that I wanted. (For reference I've been playing my Ibanez Gio GRX70QA with this amp just attached by a Fender original series 10ft cable)

Purchased this at the recommendation of a sales associate when I was looking at the Fender Champ 50xl. The GTX50 had great mod settings, I appreciated the on board tuning and the app customization but had a fatal flaw. The bluetooth and wireless function intermittently. While you can still use any programmed setting you will have to dial through possibly 100 settings to find it. Also the save feature in the menu would not allow me to save a new bluetooth name. I am highly capable with electronics and computers and this in my impression was either a firmware or hardware issue. I found that I am not the only one that came across this connectivity problem and there is no 100% fix as of yet that I could find online nor with Fender. Sound was good overall and i had fun when it worked but it was a hassle to connect. Exchanged for the Fender Champ 50xl which I now love, sounds great and the functions all work. Fender has a great product on their hands in the GTX50 if they correct the connectivity issues. I just dont want to wait and hope.Matt
This amp has all the great Fender amp models and while I have never owned or had time with the originals, I am extremely happy with the sound that comes from of all the Fender models. With the guitar plugged in, the tones are very pleasing, from the crispy clean tones of the Twin Reverb to the warm tones of the Deluxe to the crunchy tones of Champ. Very little dialing in required to get a great tone. The non-Fender models did not sound as good to me. I probably use the M/B Mark IIC the most rather than any other model. However, with a GFX unit plugged in, you have to be careful not to overdrive the input or the tones become brittle with an unpleasant buzz and harmonic. I expect this is true for any digital amp modeller, but is more noticeable in this one due to the great tones this amp already gives without any FX units in front. Without the right input signal and tweaking of the FX unit, the tone will only get worse. Functionally, things are not as great. I encountered some issues such as 1. Bluetooth connection to phone app will not discover the amp and requires me to switch on the amp twice for some reason. It always seems to find the amp after the second time. 2. The Master volume knob is digital. Thus, it increases the volume in increments rather than a smooth ramp. This is a problem if you are trying to get very low volumes. It jumps from a level of too quiet to just a bit louder than you need as you tweak the knob. 3. Bluetooth can interfere with a digital wireless system. Either the mobile app wont work or the wireless system wont work. None of these are deal breakers. And for the Fender amp tone modelling it does provide, I am happy with it. If they provided the digital brains of this amp as a GFX foot unit or even a rack unit, I'd sell all my other gear to buy it. I do wish they would continue with more updates, but it seems there is no further development being done on this. The last firmware update was in May 5th 2020.Arjun
Overall: So I bought this due to the convenience of it. I wanted to stop with having a dozen pedals and modelling amps seem to have come a long way. And for a bedroom player, the volume and sound aren't much to complain about. [and sound of all the effects and multiple amp/cab combos aren't that bad either]. I can definitely get a decent tone from the combinations I choose or the presets already made.BUTI hate this amplifier. Without the tone app, it is NOT easy to use/customize your own presets, and even altering presets is not intuitive at all. And Tone app NEVER connects to the amp. I got it updated [huge pain in itself to accomplish], and the Bluetooth connectivity is absolutely horrendous.It says on the app to maintain a distance of 3ft from the amp for connectivity [ridiculous in itself to be hovering over the amp constantly when you're adjusting or creating effects], but it takes 10 minutes of trial and error WITH MY PHONE SITTING ON THE AMP, for it to finally connect. But God forbid I forget to maintain 3ft of distance and it disconnects, only for me to restart the process.Also, the effects are a terrible rabbit hole, more of a con than a pro for me. I found myself playing with effects more than actually playing the guitar and I'm generally just dissatisfied at the end of every "session" I try having with it.Quality is getting 2 stars because the amp itself it up to standard, but the almost necessary connectivity to the Tone app is basically a failure on Quality Control. There shouldn't be a [useless] FAQ section for connectivity issues the same day the amp is released.It's sort of like this video game comparison: play western RPG games for a few months [Skyrim, Witcher 3, Dragon's Dogma, etc], and then switch to playing japanse RPG games.. the difference is insane; you get flooded with all kinds of things you can do pretty much right away, but your direction is constantly being thrown off due to exactly that.Great idea, terrible execution. I'm going back to a traditional set up – a simple but nicer tube combo amp and a pedal board. You can't beat it for an enthusiastic bedroom player.

Found mine used a my local GC. Just wanted to post on MF because it's my go to website when shopping online. I sold my half stack years ago. Been playing Electric Bass for the past 8 years. I was looking to get back into playing Guitar and needed something for my office/studio to pass the time. I was ultimately surprised by the tone in this little box! Built in Tuner, lots of presets and is footswitchabe between your two favorite presets. Footswitch sold separately. Whether you're a beginner or need something for smaller settings, this amp will do the trick!
I am very pleased with this amp and like the way it sounds. I bought it so I could have a smaller amp because with my bigger 90 Watt 1×12 amp, I need to set the volume extremely low to use it at home and sometimes it was still too loud. With my small 5" speaker 3 Watt amp the low end bass sounds were distorting when the volume was turned up. Although this 20 Watt amp surprised me with how loud it is, the Master volume control it has gives me exactly the volume I want without compromising the sound quality of the amp. It seems that no matter how low I turn the master volume it still sounds great. Try tilting it for enhanced projection. Using the FUSE software allowed me to import other people's settings to check them out. Then I was able to program the amp with the sounds I wanted. I was able to export my settings so I could save them in case something happened. I purchased the foot switch. It only will switch between 2 sounds, so I set it to switch between my rhythm sound and the same sound with a touch of distortion for leads. With the software you can switch between amp models, speaker cabinets, and add in from a large selection of pedals to tweak your sound. On your computer the effects you add in the software will actually appear as stomp box pedals, which you can place before the amp or place the effect as if it were in the effects loop. You can add up to 4 different kinds of effects. Without the software, on the fly, you can tweak the volume, gain, treble, bass, modulation effects, and delay/reverb. You can quickly save these on the fly settings by pressing the save button. The on the fly effects can be tweaked, but you can really control them precisely using the FUSE software.. I occasionally play music with some friends at their house. This amp allows me to travel as if I was taking along all my pedals, but without the hassle of actually having to carry them around and spend any setup time. I wanted to take this amp around the block before writing a review. I've had it a few weeks now so here it goes. Appearance – This is one cool looking amp. It almost looks like a blues junior in a way. It wants to be played. The little Fender logo on the front with the lightning bolt really sets it off. Almost like a hood ornament on a classic car. Very clean looking amp. Functionality – This is a big one for me and the part where I get a bit critical. First of all, the knobs are on the top of the amp. I love this. It makes changing settings much easier. I do, however wish that the effects were marked on the amp. Effects like phaser, chorus, etc are all there but you have to audibly turn the knob through them to find the one you want. I think Fender could have easily marked where the settings were. Thankfully, you are able to save your settings once you get everything dialed in the way you want. There are also various amp models to choose from which are mostly Fender amps. The amp is lightweight so carrying around isn't a problem. The back of the amp is closed which I don't like. I wish it were open so you could store stuff back there. All in all though, the amp is very user friendly. Tone – This amp sounds great! That's what I am most impressed with. It sounds like a Fender. Even the amp models like the Bassman sound really sweet. Having reverb on a practice amp is very nice. A lot of them don't. The tones you can get out of this amp are really great. I'm already planning on using for recording which was not my intentions when I purchased it. Extras – A big plus to this amp is the added feature of being able to hook it up to a computer to dial in more tones. This feature is free by the way. You can configure just about any setup you want. I watched a Fender video of the amp and was very impressed with the capabilities and sound quality. When the amp arrived I plugged in my Telecaster and tried the first few presets. The sound coming out of this amp was dreadful. It had a flat, drab sound. It was like a transistor radio next to a Bose radio. The Mustang just sounds awful. Getting a wide variety of tones has never been easier and the Fender Tone App is cool too and works as advertised but it's just as easy to edit/store any and all parameters right from the front panel.The design of the amp handle is smooth and I appreciate the Velcro straps in the back for securing footswitch and power cord.I bought this amp for use in my home/project studio but would use at a gig no problem.It is certainly loud enough. I am upgrading from the LT25 to more power, larger sound. The LT50 is the big bother to the LT25 and they have the same preset programing functions. I like the Fender tone both amps produce, the LT50 gives more power and volume. The 30 preset are usable and it allows you to program 30 additional preset base the modeling settings. I am using the LT50 for studio recording, it has a speaker line output jack in the rear cabinet, which is a good to add to the recording mix.NYCScotto

This amp is great for beginner to intermediate players like myself who want an amp that can do anything and, judging by how much my friends like it, great for more advanced players as well. The FUSE modeling software lets you quickly and easily creates any sound you want or spend an afternoon playing and experimenting with all the effects. Despite the low price this amp is well-built and very high quality. The on-board controls are a little lacking but this is only a small inconvenience. All in all, this is a great amp. I bought the Fender Mustang I about 4 months ago, after playing guitar for six months. I was looking for an affordable amp that could work for all the different genres I play. (As a beginner I mostly play whatever I can, but Im starting to focus more on hard rock and punk, such as AC/DC, the Clash, and Green Day.) After looking online, this amp seemed to perfectly fit what I wanted. The main selling point was definitely the Fender Fuse software. The first thing that really struck me after I got this amp was the depth and variety offered by the factory presets. The clean settings, mostly modeled after popular Fender amps, such as the 1965 Twin Reverb, bring out all the tone my guitar has to offer and respond to every articulation in my playing. (My guitar, a cheap Stratocaster knock-off, cost me less than this amp, so Im very impressed this amp found enough tone to create such beautiful sounds.) Then, with just the turn of a knob, the amp can switch over to presets such as British 80s, which sounds exactly like the 100-Watt Marshalls AC/DC uses. (Think Highway to Hell or Back in Black.) On the even higher gain settings, such as Metal 2000, my friends who are better guitarists than I get a nice sound for shredding. (All my friends love playing with my amp even though most of them have more expensive amps themselves.) There are even some really weird models, such as Black Hole Vibe which uses a Vibratone effect to create a shimmering, sparkling sound. When I cant find the right sound in any of the 24 presets, the Fender FUSE software always has the solution. Usually, I can find the preset Im looking for in Fenders online database, which seems to have a preset for just about every genre and artist and even for most popular songs. But, when I cant find one online, it never takes long to create a new preset. I know very little about guitar effects, but the layout of FUSE is so simple, quick, and straightforward that it takes no time to wade through the twelve amp models, the dozen or so cabinet models, the adjustable BIAS and SAG (I usually dont bother changing these), the different noise gate levels, and over half dozen models each of delay, reverb, stomp box, and modulation, all of which can be added in any order before or after the pre amp stage and customized using various controls and adjustments. Simply put, FUSE can make any amp/effect sound I can think of. The only issue I have with the Modeling software is that it is nearly impossible to adjust the presets from the amp. All the effects are in two unlabeled banks and accessed by a series of knobs and buttons, with no sort of screen or display to guide you through the process. Even adjusting the gain and equalization is tricky because the physical locations of the knobs dont change when you load a new preset with different settings. (If the gain knob is set to 2 but the preset is saved with a gain setting of 8, when you turn the gain knob up to 4 youre actually turning the gain down.) I think this problem is solved on the G-DEC series and possibly the larger Mustangs, but for the Mustang I this is a problem when Im not near my computer. If not for this difficulty, I would have given this amp 5 stars for features. Ive had this amp for four months now and play through it an hour or two every day and everything still sounds great. I did a car trip with it and accidently dropped some heavy bags it but nothing broke. If it were loud enough (or maybe even just micd), Im sure it would stand up to gigging. As far as sound quality goes, all the models sound almost exactly like the amps theyre pretending to be (unless you had them side by side you wouldnt notice the difference) and no one I know can even tell its digital. The one problem I had was when I first got it the bass response sounded very muddy and unclear but this went away after a few days. I still dont know what caused this, possibly just breaking in a new speaker. Really wish I could give this a 6 out of 5 for value. On all the models, this sounds like a thousand dollar amp and the volume it produces is incredible. It is by far the loudest 20-Watt amp I have ever heard. I mostly practice in my bedroom but I also jam with friends a lot. In my bedroom I rarely have the master volume above 2 and with 2 or 3 other guitars in the room the volume still doesnt get above 5. I like my little Mustang very much. So much, in fact, I find myself playing more. The booklet that comes with the amp is very simple to understand and easy to use. To really appreciate the amp, you have to plug it into a computer! There is a whole new world out there with countless amp and stompbox combinations, as well as getting one started to the realm of recording!I have been playing for 20 plus years, mostly classic and hard rock. I have a 1983 Kramer Pacer and a 1977 Gibson SG that I have been playing through a Marshall JCM 800 50 watt combo amp using a digitech 355RP for effects. I have limited space, and wanted to get a small amp for playing in the house. The amp is small and light, yet feels fairly rugged. I had no problems connecting to the amp with the USB port, and after downloading the Fender Fuse software, I was on my way! I am still learning how to use the program, but some of the presets were very good. I was able to tweek them even better, and I love the sounds I get! I like connecting to my laptop and getting almost endless sound possibilities. I am also exploring recording, which I have never done before.You can't beat the value for the price on this amp! My Digitech cost 3 times as much, and the effects and amp modeling, in my opinion, sound better!

I got very excited and bought the GT 100 on the first day they came out. The amp is a lot of fun to play with, but some thing seemed off about the sound. The presets all seem a bit like they were under a wet blanket and muddy. I discovered Fender flipped on the cabinet simulations on all the presets which kills the sound. Turning them off brings back some liveliness. The Fender amps sound great when dialed in and I'm loving the chimey sound of the AC30. We are most likely in for a long haul of software updates based on feedback (two in the first three weeks) to dial it in. However, as an IoT platform the user experience will only get better if Fender chooses to invest in the platform. It is absolutely a next gen platform which I think requires a Bluetooth device to control. There are just too many settings available to do from the amp which could leave you spending more time fiddling than playing. Overall, I think the amp is great for a home player who doesn't want to go down the tube amp and pedal rabbit hole. It's plenty loud for gigs, but I would prefer a pedal board to using the onboard effects.General_Tso
The GT series is a definite step up tone-wise from the previous Mustang amps. The amp models are very good and the effects are fine. The ability to use several effects at once, both pre and post is great. The light weight of the amp is great! The Tone app which includes being able to manipulate the amp from an external device, stream music through it, and download tones from an online library does not work at all with either of my fairly recent Android devices (tablet or phone), so I have do all my tweaking at the amp through the tiny window. There is also no PC editor yet. Fender is working on firmware updates to hopefully address some of this. Using the optional footswitching is much more cumbersome with more hassle and fewer options than the older Mustang amps had (though this one does have a looper). I have mixed feeling about this product. I did not recommend it or call it a good value at this point. If Fender can fix the issues above with firmware updates it will be a killer good product. With so many of the touted features not working right yet I would say wait and see if they "finish" this thing before you buy.floeclay
I just sold my Mustang III V.2 and almost wish I had kept it. Here's why: The sounds on the Mustang GT are very "flat". Very little Reverb, and hardly any dimension or depth. Even when I increased the Reverb, it does not sound "natural". Hopefully I can modify it to get the sounds of the amp I just gave up. Not sure why Fender completely revamped the sounds, but the previous model had beefiness and punch, and so far this does not. All Fender had to do was JUST add the cool new features that the GT now has. Oh well, I have a lot of work to do myself now. 🙁D Neily

Cover band guitar players listen up – this amp is fantastic! After years of fronting bands that included a guitar hero and playing mostly rhythm, I found myself as the only guitarist in a 4 piece classic rock/R&B/blues cover band and gigging a lot. Needed to upgrade my gear fast to get the sounds and FX needed and on a tight budget. Over the last year and a half I went through a combination of different amps, volume pedals and modelers and wasn't totally happy with any of them. Checked out a Mustang IV at a music store then called Musicians Friend. I think I'm done! The amp sounds and effects are dynamite and with minimal tweaking of EQ/gain and FX to my personal preferences I'll be good to go. The presets really sound good, unlike those that come on most modelers. No need for extra EQ's and massive computer editing etc. Went with the presets for a rehearsal the first night I got it and it sounded great. Changing amp models, fx and parameters manually is easy with no need to deep edit on the computer unless you want to. Still need to set up the 4 button foot switch but sounds easy enough. I think the Fender amp presets probably sound the best (go figure!) but they're all good. The last 17 presets are just the amps themselves so you can easily create your own presets from scratch. There are 17 amp models that include 7 Fenders, 2 Marshalls, a Vox and a Hi Watt that I can think of off the top of my head. I'm playing classic rock, blues and R&B covers. What else do I need? In most cases those are the amps that were used on the records and the modeling is really good. I'm not a metal guy but the more modern hi gain amps sound good to me too. Great sounding amp. Plenty of power and celestion speakers. Easy to dial up sounds needed for any style song. Lose pedals and pedal board for smaller stage foot print, minimal cables and set up time. Great price. I have had just about every Half Stack,Combo brand out there over the years. Tube,SS ive had them..My band has been playing more and more shows this year in and out of clubs and i wanted to try a all in one amp for shows.This thing is just the trick for me.I have a Fender twin for clean with chorus and delay and a 5150 rock tone for dirty. I use the 4 and 2 buttonswitch for my set up. With those i can do anything.I mic up this amp on stage and have the vol at 3 and rock with the other guitar player in the band and he is using a all tube half stack. No problems hearing myself. The Mustang IV is not a small amp, it weighs enough to make it difficult to move between gigs, but it's worth the effort to play with a dual 12-inch combo amp. With 100 presets and some great sampling of classic amps such as VOX, Marshall, Silvertone, and nearly all the vintage Fender amps of the past such as the Champ, Princeton, Twin, etc- if you can't find a tone on this amp you never will on any amp. It's just that good. If you want to customize tones further you can create your own and store them to the amp if you own a computer, and take the time to download the Fender FUSE editing software. Attach a USB cable to the AMP and CPU, and you can download your own custom tones. The headphone jack is handy for practicing at home without disturbing the neighbors, and this amp has all the power you need to crank out some serious volume. The only downside I can mention would be out of 100 presets, a lot of them you'll never use, as a few are useless trashy tones someone at Fender thought were cool, but they're far from it. With the 50 tones that are on this that still sound great, you can make some fantastic music on this thing. Put it on a clean mode, add your own pedals, – just like any other Fender, it sounds great. The price is right. There's competition from Line6 and Peavy but their amps are not as nice IMO. If you are considering a modeling amp- look no further. Going back and forth between the LT25 and LT40s to compare identifical presets, both sounded good and similar even with the differences in cabinet and speaker size. A subjective impression is that the LT25 sounded a bit more distant or maybe dispersed. The LT40s sounded a bit more focused. It was a tough call as the LT25 is less expensive but I walked out of there with the LT40S. For desktop placement and low volume practice, the LT40s sounds great and with plenty of low end. I don't need loud volume but this amp can fill a 16'x24' loft with sound. The USB connection to my laptop was initially a no go. After deleting and then reinstalling the application, it has sinced worked great!Wally
I wanted an amp for practicing that gave me a massive range of options for a reasonable amount of money. I have to say that I am very impressed with the 30 included presets and I've not even branched out into the additional ones you can add. The quality of the LT25 is fantastic, not super heavy and all the switches feel robust. I've found the sound can vary depending on the preset you choose though that is to be expected with those that have high gain. I mostly play clean and blues and this amp is fantastic for both of those. If you want a more classic rock sound there is a preset for this which I think needs a bit of tweaking. All in all very impressed and as this is my first Fender amp, I will definitely be getting another in the future.Alex G.
This is my first amp and as a beginner guitarist it has everything I need. Initial set up is as easy as pulling it out of the box and plugging it in. The built in presets all sound amazing and are easy to switch between, if you arent super techy and dont want to fiddle with the online fender tone aspect of it all the provided presets are enough to give you just about any tone you could want. It gets pretty loud for its size I dont think Ive cranked it higher than 1/2 way in respect for my neighbors. The headphone jack is also great because it always me to play silently into the night without disturbing those around me. Its super light as well and has a handle on the top of the amp so its easy to move around. It seems pretty durable, I obviously havent gone kicking it off a stage or anything but it should withstand a curious puppy or rambunctious child tripping over it a few times. Overall its a great option that doesnt break the bank if you just need something a little more travel friendly or are a first time player like me. My favorite thing about it is how many sound options it has laid out built in or online because I didn't immediately have to dump $1000 on pedals to get the sound that I wanted. (For reference I've been playing my Ibanez Gio GRX70QA with this amp just attached by a Fender original series 10ft cable)

This is a really good bit of kit (apart from the way it looks, which isn't the best!). It makes a great Bluetooth speaker for streaming music – plenty loud, with good (faked) stereo separation, and the bass isn't bad for a small speaker. The guitar modelling sound good, and works well at low volume. And I can get 3 sound sources running simultaneously, which is useful : 1. A guitar plugged into the Input 2. A keyboard plugged into the Aux In 3. Music streamed over Bluetooth So, the sound is good, the connectivity is good, the downside is the software: 1. Tone Room works well, once you've got it to work at all. I had to try several different drivers from the VOX web site before I finally got Tone Room to connect from my laptop over Bluetooth. I eventually gave up trying to get Tone Room to connect from my Android phone. 2. The bundled JamVOX III software is incredibly ancient (last updated in 2013!!!), and doesn't manage to chop out the guitar solo's particularly well on the songs I tried it with. 3. There's not much of a community out there uploading tones and patches etc. Finally, I could have paid less elsewhere, but I really appreciate The Captain's video reviews, so I decided to pay an extra £10 to get it from Andertons.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Overall: I bought this after getting tired of waiting for my Positive Grid Spark to ship. I watched some videos and pulled the trigger. zZounds had the amp at my door in 24 hours. Wow! I immediately dialed up what I expected to be my primary sound — the "Brit 1959" amp. Absolutely horrible. The sound was weak and uninspiring. Even with the pre, post, and eq's dimed, the amp was nowhere near an early era Malcolm Young tone. (The target.) The JCM 800 and the Orange Rockerverb sims aren't bad–but those amps have completely different drive characteristics. At this point, I had not yet written-off the Adio completely. I streamed my iTunes through the Adio via Bluetooth, and this was the final nail-in-the-coffin. The plastic cabinet has a very specific resonant frequency that is only augmented by engaging the "Wide" mode. The songs I have known my whole life sounded completely different when played through the Adio. Even streaming "Avengers Endgame" through the Adio unpleasantly colored the audio. And again, engaging the "Wide" mode only degraded the audio further. I am returning the unit to purchase a Yamaha THR10II–which is what I should have done in the first place. (Damn your review, Lee Anderton!)They made me fill-in "manufacturer support." I have had no experience with Vox customer support.Brian
OK, I do jokingly refer to this as the "Vox Tone Purse" because it's gotten such flack over its looks. In person I think it looks fine, and I don't really care that much. Here's the deal – I generally have to put my stuff away when I'm not playing, I live in a small place. Sometimes I don't feel like getting out the pedalboard and bringing an amp into the living room, etc. In those cases I grab the Adio and sit it on the ground next to me. This thing sounds plenty good for what I use it for. Generally practicing or noodling while watching sports. I like clean-to-slightly crunch tones with reverb. I don't use the other effects much, and I've played around with the Tonelab app a bit, but not much. I just dial in a tone and play. The tones I get are satisfying and good enough – I like the tones out of my amps better, but for a small practice amp I'm fine with it. About the 50 watts – there is plenty of volume but this thing will not keep up with your average 50 watt, 12 inch speaker combo amp. It's not that kind of thing. The 50 watts is likely for clean headroom, and it's probably 25 watts per speaker. You have to use the app to control effect parameters beyond speed or depth – not a big issue. You get plenty of variety in the available amp models – I use all of them up to the Plexi and don't really touch any of the high gain stuff. Not my thing. To my ear it sounds good for clean to mildly dirty tones and has plenty of EQ and gain options which easily cater tones to single coil or humbucking pickups. Lots to like. I give it 4 stars just because nothing is perfect, but I'm very happy with this amp and use it all the time.AL

A lot of the reviews posted here are for Strats, so I'm not sure what's going on. Anyway, I bought the red sparkle Squier Bullet Tele. The finish is gorgeous and that's what prompted me to do a spontaneous purchase. I have only experienced owning USA Teles, but I've played some Squiers that really impressed me. This one? Not so much. I don't detect any finish on the back of the neck although I'm sure it has a sealer of some sort. The body finish is nice, but the bridge hardware is cheaply made and I'll be replacing that for sure. Same goes for the tuners. I'm pretty sure it has some high frets because it goes dead starting at the 10th fret, but some of that was back bow. I loosened the truss and got rid if it, but now when I sight down the neck the forward bow is pretty obvious. I don't notice the frets being sharp on the ends. It now plays plays pretty good after sitting long enough for the truss Rod to settle, but I may need to tighten it just a little to get rid of some of the forward bow. The neck has a very comfortable profile. The body is thinner than my American Teles, but it doesn't bother me – in fact it's lighter which I enjoy. The body is Poplar and that's fine by me. I may leave the back of the neck alone for now because it actually feels pretty good, aesthetics are certainly lacking, but the body makes up for that. I'm sure with a little patience and help from my friends I'll have a nice instrument. All the basics are there. As is, it's not all that great, but still better than my first electric guitar! -!an old Kalamazoo single pickup thing with a bolt on neck back in the mid sixties. I bought my black metallic Squier Bullet eight years ago when GC was having a Columbus Day sale. I was looking for a guitar to which I could permanently mount my Roland GR-33 guitar synth's GK2a pickup. Previously I had the pickup mounted on my '96 Strat, and I didn't like this fit because I couldn't close my Strat's case with the pickup installed. I have a gig bag for this Squier, and it fits fine in the bag with pickup installed. Anyway, about the guitar. Right out of the box, it played great, requiring only a minimal amount of action adjustment. I was surprised at how good the pickups sounded, it being a Bullet and all. But the humbucker sounds especially nice when playing the guitar through my Marshall. The neck pickup has a decent sound, but not quite up to the snuff of a good alnico pickup. Still, for what the guitar cost, I really can't complain. If I want to, at some later date, I can always change out the neck pickup to a better alnico model. One thing I especially like about this black Bullet is its looks. The photos here at GC don't show it off all that well, but the guitar body's finish is metallic and the pickguard is a heavy metal flake. It looks spectacular under the lights. And the black hardware does a great job of completing that black look. The Bullet's body is thinner than a typical Strat or Squier Affinity or Classic Vibe body. The result is a light weight guitar, but there is no sacrifice in tone.Michael
I would first like to begin with- I normally would be giving a 5 star rating of this unit/Squier, as I have typically never had problems prior to the recent/earlier this year upset regarding shipping containers/etc being paused/sitting in the ocean/etc, delaying container delivery. PLEASE READ ON FOR FULL EXPLANATION. Two imperative points- 1. The fret ends were so sharp, when I say it was not playable (both sides/neck in its entirety), I mean, it was not playable (THE DATE OF INSPECTION WAS EARLIER THIS YEAR, AND I IMMEDIATELY ASSOCIATED THE FRET ENDS PROBLEM BEING DUE TO THE SHIPS BEING DELAYED/SITTING IN THE OCEAN/ETC- It looked to me like maybe between March and July of this year, although, I couldn't quite make out the stamped month). As well, the serial # of the guitar, of course, was of this year/'22. I maintain/work on most all my guitars, and I normally would've tightened up the fret ends myself, however, there was a hairline crack on the red sparkle finish at the bass side neck joint (which i just couldn't accept, visually), as well as a small tooling gash along the top edge of the headstock. The replacement/reordered guitar arrives tomorrow. 2. THE NEWER UNITS (AS, ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS A 2022-BUILT UNIT) ARE TOP-MOUNT/STRING THROUGH THE BACK OF THE BRIDGE, NOT "STRING-THRU" as the description indicates (and, with Squier bridge mounting, these are 5-screw mount plates, which, if ever you want to upgrade your hardware, particularly, w/the bridge, you must find an aftermarket unit that is "string through the back", along w/the correct string spacing (with Squier, they're 54mm, typically), and you'll typically need to redrill given it's rare to find plates that have Squier mounting dimensions that provided string through the back holes. I'm upgrading to a Babicz, given the results found. Also, there are two string trees (the second being a tree for both the D and G strings), and it looks great, actually, with both. Overall, I was impressed with the finish, as it was nearly flawless (aside from the hairline finish crack mentioned previously). The fretwire/fretwork, felt great….I found maybe two or so "slight" dead spots, which weren't enough of a "ping", or string buzz to be of concern, or critiquing the fretwork negatively. Rather, I was impressed with the fretwork. As well, it's important to note that the mounting of the bridge, along with the neck positioning/etc, was spot-on. No misalignment of the bridge mount/etc (and the same goes for the nut spacing). I've always been impressed with what Fender/Squier/Jackson are putting out. The quality is typically quite high…as for this unit, the quality is high, but the results of the environmental dilemma with either being stuck in a container offshore, or, sitting in a facility for weeks/months/etc, have had quite the impact on this guitar. As an important example, I had purchased a Bullet Tele last year (the unit in Burst color offered here through MF), and it was/is flawless, and I completely upgraded every part. As I own approx'ly 53 guitars ranging primarily from ESP to Jackson (some of which in the better than $2K range), I love to take what's titled as a "beginner" guitar, and totally hotrod it with high end parts (such is the case w/this guitar). As mentioned above, I've reordered the guitar, as MusiciansFriend provided me a generous discount (without having to ask) to accommodate me. Upgrades- 1. I got this to play at gigs and fill in to gaps for 60s and 70s classic rock numbers. It sounded great mic's with just enough stage sound for sustain. I especially liked the foot switch layout to flip between clean and dirty numbers when covering Stones, Bowie, Mott The Hoople, Doobie Bros and stuff, but needed help with a pedal with early metal sounds. Still, found it a very flexible amp overall. About eight months in it got a hissing sound and was useless as a mic'd amp through the PA. It was still under warranty, and – long story short – they repaired the hiss by replacing some circuit components, but after a few weeks it came back. The is the one time I wished I got the replacement warranty. I ended up giving it away to a friend who tinkers in electronics. Do and internet search and you'll see this amp has a long history of hiss and other noise problems that are hard to isolate. That said, I know of some players who liked this amp very much and it never let them down, so I'm not hating on Fender. I like the Fender sound and own a very reliable 65' Twin two Blues Deluxe Issues. If you really must have this amp, I'd recommend getting the full replacement warranty.RJ
Overall: So.. I am very very pleased with the Fender Super Sonic amp head It is quite versatile for almost all genres of music.. but if your looking for metal tones.. look elsewhere.. but other than that.. this amp has it all! I am totally blown away!I have owned many amps throughout my musical journey and I will say that this amp beats them all in regards to tone and responsiveness. You can dial any tone you want easily.. like I said.. it's extremely versatile. I had purchased 2 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112 Guitar Speaker Cabinet (80 Watts, 1×12") speaker cabinets to use with the Super Sonic head. It was great as it was but then I replaced the 50 watt speakers with 2 Jensen C12 22 watt speakers. OMG!! Unbelievable!! This thing is even more of a total TONE MONSTER than with the 50 watt Celestions. It is loud enough for any club gig..as the 22 watts is plenty. The clean is pristine with that traditional Fender sound and reverb…with the overdrive channel so versatile from light breakup (SRV) to hard 80's Rock tones and classic rock. Even has an effects loop! This amp is a winner!!! I can honestly say this amp is hands down the best amp I have ever owned.. and I've owned many vintage and newer Marshall's.. other Fenders and Mesas over the year. I am totally blown away by this setup. It will never leave my collection. I advise anyone to take a chance and buy one of these great amps.. you won't be sorry at all!!
Just purchased this beautiful blond amp. The clean channel is perfect. Decent gain. Reverb is adequate. Highly recommend purchasing the amp head and the 2X12 cab because you get two Clesetion Vintage 30's vise the single Eminence in the combo. Sound great out of the box even before the tubes are burned in and the speakers broken in. I'll say this again, the clean channel is perfect, Les Paul, Strat, Tele, ES 195 with P90's and effects never sounded better. Gives this bad boy a test drive, you wont be disappointed. If you have never used a tube amp, 22 watts is quite a bit of power compared to solid state, possibly two to three time the power. Yes! this amp can get quite loud. Perfect for small gigs. This little amp is quite amazing in sound and features. With the Guitar input, Aux In, and headphone jack it nails the features desired for practice. EQ/Gain control and volume can make a huge difference. I read the one critical review below about no bass or treble/AM radio sounding, etc…I don't get that? Probably doesn't understand the gain/vol/ and boost…or his was pre-owned and maybe had issues. Hey, if you're expecting the Fender tube sound of a Princeton or Vibrolux or Deluxe…get real, this is a 10 watt practice amp. Im really disappointed with this amp. I know its not supposed to be super loud because its only 10 W, but I was hoping that the sound quality would be better. The sound reproduction frequencies are all mid range. Sounds like cardboard. Color is grey. Bass and treble tones are all but nonexistent. The eq is useless because speaker cannot reproduce bass and treble frequencies. The sound is very cheap and does not give a representation of the Fender vibe whatsoever. You are better off just playing your guitar with no amplifier at all rather than using this, because it make a good guitar sound bad. I equate the sound to that of an a.m. transistor radio. Its really bad. I actually read some of the favorable reviews on this amplifier before I bought it, and Im seriously starting to think that none of those reviews are actually real. There are better practice amps with better fidelity out there, and I would avoid this one if your ear demands quality sound.mrmarksiii

Sound: I write and play original jazz, blues, country, and ballads mostly in various finger styles. All my guitars and all these of these musical styles sound better on this TM Deluxe than on any amp I've ever played through or heard. Features: This amp has every feature of the original, except the weight and the ever-flaky tubes. The only missing feature is an external speaker jack (although the onboard speaker is *much* better than boutique amps costing lots more money). Musicians drool over this amp. Then they pick it up. Then they decide to buy one. Ease of Use: Easy to get great sounds – no learning curve – as long as you're using a really good guitar. Each knob responds just like the original Deluxe, except that the reverb is usable (and interesting) right up to 10 (not true of any Fender tube reverb). Quality: Very good quality construction. Should last for many years or reliable performance. Value: It's well worth the money! Manufacturer Support: No problems with this amp (either mine or my friend's who got one for his birthday), so I haven't contacted Fender about it for any reason. The Wow Factor: It's beautiful and the sound quality is superb. Overall: I'm a 74-year-old singer/songwriter who's been playing professionally for 60 years. I bought this blonde Tone Master Deluxe in July 2021 from zZounds. With an XLR cable from its integrated direct interface, I plug it into the house Mackie 16-track mixer most Saturday mornings and play on a live radio show that's been going for over 30 years – I've played most Saturdays for the past 5 years. I owned a 1960s Vibrolux Reberb and a 1970s Twin Reverb for years – neither one sounded as good as this TM Deluxe – and both broke down every other show and weighed *way* too much. Every Saturday morning, I get warm compliments on the sound of this TM Deluxe from audience members and other musicians. It's well worth the money! All that beautiful tone and neither a tube nor a capacitor will every give out right at the start of your gig. I gave one of these as a birthday present to an old friend in Detroit this fall (youngest person ever inducted in the Hall of Fame by the Detroit Blues Society). He has a whole lot of amps in his studio, but the TM Deluxe is the only one that he's using anymore for recording and for gigs.Ira
I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago, we're still closed down for COVID 19 where I live so I haven't used it at club volume yet but judging from at-home tinkering, its got plenty of volume. I have a silver face deluxe reverb and a reissue to compare this to and really, I'm surprised at how accurately Fender reproduced that punchy sound that's unique to the deluxe reverb. They've added a couple of, shall we say, quirky features. It has a "mute" switch where the standby switch would normally be, even though there's no need for standby on a solid state amp. The mute switch feels flimsy compared to the power switch, I'll probably just leave that on all the time. Time will tell how it holds up. Even though Fender doesn't mention it in the literature, they've made a fake warm-up, as if the tubes were powering up, except there are no tubes. There is a 10 or 15 second delay between turning it on to sound coming out. I don't understand the reasoning behind the fake warm-up but OK, it doesn't hurt anything. The amp has 100 watts, it take more solid state watts to replicate the tube sound and performance and again, it really sounds a lot like the traditional tube amp. On the back panel is a sort-of power attenuator that's got six settings labeled from 0.2 watts to full / 22 watts. The labeling doesn't have anything to do with the actual power output, I guess it has to do with keeping the 22 watt tube vibe. The attenuator is actually quite useful. The lowest setting is great for in-home practice and the other settings are much louder but let it break up at lower volumes until you hit full power which sounds like it's louder and cleaner with more headroom than the tube versions. What an awesome little amp! And plug the line outs into something bigger and you can well and truly deafen yourself with sonic pleasure. Pretty straight forward to use but you do need to watch your levels when changing amp models – they can vary a lot. Longer battery life would be a bonus and I'll def need a little bag for it. When I buy something that does so much but I don't need to read any manuals to operate it I know I've made the right choice. Sounds are fantastic, my favourite amp so far is the boutique, it feels very natural, not boomy like my previous desktop type amp. The effects are great, particularly the reverbs. I find myself taking it out of our little 'work from home office' while my wife or the kids are in there and noodling in the living room or the kitchen with it because I haven't had to faff around with power cables 🙂 It has a flat setting so I use that when I'm playing around with modeller settings for gigs rather than dragging out my powercab at home. The app is really easy to use and opens up a nice compressor plus cab options etc. The clincher for me over the smaller units is the 1/4 inch line outs, I can chuck it in the car and it's there as a back up incase my gigging amp packs up. I'm no bass player but I play a bit at home and this sounds way better than going into a guitar amp or using a bass amp on amplitube on my pc. This is easily the best music purchase I've made in recent years and I'm playing more music because of it 🙂Archie W.
I have a Marshall 1974x that I have not touched since I bought this THR30II. There is no real comparison but this Yamaha is so addictive. Clean tones are superb the crunch channel in classic mode is a my fave. The onboard effects are really good. I just shelled out e few Bob on a thorny flanger and this has a perfectly good flanger built in. The hall reverb is beyond good. In summary rock tones are good but cleans/crunch are fantastic. I trusted other reviews of this amp against things like positive grid/katana etc but this just hits the spot. I love playing the slow Peter Green blues stuff it’s perfect. It’s not a one trick pony it has loads of nice tones perfect for home use at friendly volumes than the Marshall 18 watt. Highly recommend.HappyYammyTHR p.

I bought this amp because my gig amp died a cyber twin 2-12s 100 watts that was about 16 years old. I have had many Fender amps they were great. I do country and 50s and 60s rock and roll. I figured 100 watts would put it out there and it does. At performing volume, the distortion is a pure heavy metal on the clean channel. Mine is not much good for high volume for my type of music. I have an old champion 110 75 watt that I will be using It has worked for me when the others were down. Not sure what to do.stev_majo
Great starter/practice amp. It gives a great tone for a great price. Gives some really great crunchy distorted tones for metal and rock. Also gives a great clean tone. Has plenty of built-in effects too. It gets pretty loud when you need it to, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack for convenience and quiet practicing. I love this amp! If you're just starting out and looking for your first amp, look no further. Or if you're an experienced guitarist looking for a good practice amp, this is a great choice.danielk2852
It is a great amp. Very good sound and options for the price. It is not heavy which is a big deal to someone who has had back surgery. I gave it a 5 in spite of one big complaint. When you turn it off you hear a loud "POP!" Wow, is that loud is what I thought the first time I heard it. I read about it online and there is a simple fix. Find an old set of ear phones or ear buds that you would use on a cassette player or a Sony Walkman. (Yes, these are ancient electronic relics from the past for you younger people. You might ask your parents if they have a cassette player and borrow the ear plugs.) Just plug that earphone jack into the "PHONES" input BEFORE you turn it off. THEN you only hear a little blip when you turn it off. THEN just pull the jack out of the "PHONES" input before you start it next time.chasmigu

I bought a Fender Champion XL 50 for a small light weight amp to bring to local jam sessions. I have to say I am not disappointed. I know there's no comparing solid state to tubesl when it comes to filling up a room with sound but this little amp cranks. It's closest competition is the Boss Katana and those are really nice. I like the ones I've played, but I'm really into that clean Fender sound and this amp has it in spades. You get the full range of cleans, from black or silver faces to tweeds. There's overdrive and high gain models in there too but as I said it's the cleans that sold me. It is a two channel amp, but I'm not sure why anyone would use the first channel as tall the digital goodies are on the second. That being said, the digital reverb in this amp has a bit of a whistle I don't like. Instead I used the chorus on the amp and a Boss Fender Reverb pedal. If your playing on a stage lugging around a forty pound tube amp may be the thing to do, but for sitting around a garage with friends this amp will save your back and please your ears.ADarkBard
I usually don't leave comments, but feel I must let the frustrated AMP user know, yes Jessica there IS a Santa Claus! Was looking for an AMP that was "SIMPLE" – On channel 1 ONLY the volume is usable, I didn't check but probably the Bass & treble too! On Channel 1 the gain control is set and turning the knob does nothing, and none of the FX are accessible! I was so busy checking out Channel 2 that I didn't check to see if Treble & Bass could be adjusted. You have 12 "Voice Settings" and 13 FX Selections. So I checked out all 12 Voice Settings combined with all 13FX settings – add this to checking these out with a single coil Strat and a Jazz/Full Shred Charvel DK24. I feel this is one of the BEST choices I have made in electric guitar choices! The AMP sound CLEAN!!!! I Imagine Channel 1 would be great with an Accoustic as well! Don't have one though! Channel 2 is GREAT and I don't need any more than it has to offer. It is so uncomplicated & stress free! If you are an expert guitar player and can concentrate more on AMP settings, rather than playing, then go for the Katana 50 MKII, or the VOX Cambridge. I was thinking hard on all three. When I got to GC I had pretty much decided on the Fender Champion 50XL. The VOX Cambridge is $150 to $160 more, with only $10 between the Fender & Katana. Since what is on the AMP is all my mind can handle, I decided to go with the Fender 50XL. It has to be on of the simplest AMPS to operate. I do have an Ibanez Tube Screamer, and if I have a need I can look at other pedals down the road. I do plan on getting a Cry Baby! Latter down the road I might get more pedals, but for right now this AMP has all I need. The Celestion Speaker sound GREAT! I couldn't be happier – it is as loud as I need – It's EASY to learn – NONE of the settings sounded muddy, muffled, or shrill. If I was going to get an AMP that needs a lot of downloading, I would have gone with the VOX Cambride. Glad I traded in my old AMP!Karl, M
Great overall amp. The obvious comparison is the Boss Katana 50. I tried both and I found I could dial in a sound I like from the Champion easier than the Katana. The Katana has way more features and the connect-ability. I prefer just plug in and playing which was far easier with the Champion. One of the largest selling points for me was the headphone jack feature for silent playing. The Champion has it right in front of the control panel and it's a 3.5mm jack. The Katana has one but its on the back and it's a 1/4inch jack which would require an adapter to 3.5mm. The location and the fact that it's 1/4in jack gave the Champion the edge. I also preferred that taller design of the Champion. It made it more comfortable to reach and adjust. Some of the cons are the knobs. especially for the "voice" and the "fx-select". A rotary knob would make it far easier to select the presets. Fender does provide a 3 color LED light that changes when you reach the next model or effect. However, a rotary knob that stops at the preset would be a better. Another con is that the reverb effect is combined with chorus and delay. I would much prefer it to be on it's own rather than combined. This is something that the Katana has. Overall the Champion is great for home use and I would recommend it to someone that wants a good amp that is easy to just plug and play. If you want more effects and enjoy experimenting then the Boss Katana would be a better choice.E. Bran

Today, i am offering, from my collection of mini amps, my blonde fender mini tone master amp. this is one of several fender minis i will be offering. i purchased all of them new. this is from a displaying collection and at the end of the day, these are collectable toys and not real amplifiers (yes, i admit they make a few guitar sounds) and expectations should be set accordingly. the blonde amp is in mint condition, with no stains, or damage anywhere, in or out. they made a great display and as much of a conversation piece as the real amps made. if you are building a collection, i am also offering, under different listings, my fender mini twin and my mini deluxe, all in similar superb condition, fairly priced, under lenco listings. thank for looking.

This is not a stadium amplifier, or strong enough for a concert hall. It is a great small amplifier for practicing when overwhelming volume will wake everyone in the house or start the neighbors complaining. It has great sound and dissolves any fuzz or squelch. The controls are easy to use and adjust with great range for such a small amp. I bought the amp for an inexpensive junior guitar (38") so i could practice and improve my skill after a 3 decade hiatus. I did not want to invest a lot of money only to find that I was no longer interested in really stepping out. It is perfect for me to relearn, and to sample some new music with an electric acoustic guitar. I made a very good choice, and recommend this amp if you want to practice on your front porch or in your living or rec room. The sound is incredible for a one ampere peak to peak amplifier. Much louder and more defined than one would expect. The fidelity is excellent. A great buy for a small start without having to take out a 2nd mortgage.roberwit14
It's a novelty item I keep on my desktop. I can actually play my guitar through it, but it doesn't produce "good" tone. However, it does produce a tone that sounds 'cheap' but not horrible if you make a little effort to 'dial in' the best sound you can get working with what you've got. I collect mini amps and added this one to the shelf. I did plug it in and as expected, not much in the way of power or tone, but I had no expectations beyond looks. It is nicely detailed with corners, handle and grille with logos. It's is what it is. A detailed scale model of a Fender Amp. Fits perfectly into the collection. Not likely to plug it up again. Equally poor on AC or Battery. Rated 5 as collectible replica. Rated 1 as an amplifier. Hence the 3. Wouldn't recommend as a guitar amp.Mike
