From my personal collection and batch.up for sale is a 2016 fender duo-sonic hs electric guitar in a beautiful surf pearl green finish. condition: guitar is in very used good condition, with some minor dings and scratches. guitar was detailed, adjusted, polished, neck is straight. truss rod turns smoothly and adjusts, electronics work as they should. disclaimer: if the guitar needs to be set up to personal playing preference it will be at your expense. Tl:dr one owner. 100% original w/ohsc. one of the first to be made with 64' pots, early 2-2-65' grey bobbins and clay fret markers. the only thing thats been changed are the frets. this piece was bought brand new at arthurs music store in indianapolis, indiana and stayed local its entire life by the same owner. i am pleased to be listing this super early 1965 fender duo sonic ii in a vibrant daphne blue finish. the duo sonic ii is the third iteration of the original duo-sonic that came out in 56' and shares alot of similarities with the popular fender mustang and music master. these guitars were offered in 22.5" scale length (21 frets) as well as 24" scale length (22 frets) and this one is the more sought after 24" version and lends itself a definitely unique sound and feel. this piece is made out of a really lightweight and resonant slab of alder beautifully finished in a gorgeous dupont duco daphne blue lacquer which was adopted by fender from the original daphne blue cadillac. the finish exhibits the most perfect vertical lacquer checking that is quite subtle but adds alot of character and maturity. sitting atop the vibrant alder body is a pearloid abs plastic pickgaurd that houses all the original electronics that came this piece came with. two original grey bobbin 65' pickups and stackpole pots that date to the 40th week of 1964. next the neck, which is straight as an arrow, exhibits virtually no wear and tear and has been perfectly preserved over time. its got the original nitrocellulose lacquer lathered on a dead straight quarter sawn 1pc maple neck milled below a round lam east indian rosewood fretboard which is dark and delicious. interestingly, the neck dates to december 1964 and is consistent with the pearloid dots that fender began to switch over too. however the fret markers are slightly browner and made of vulcanized fiberboard, also known as clay dots! (a pre cbs feature which was still seen on some 65's. the neck has a perfect 60's c shape that just has slightly more shoulder than an oval "c" yet still feels slim and erganomic. coupled with the a stamped neck which means its got a 1 1/2" nut width, its definitely meant for smaller hands but can easily be used by larger handed folk who want to completely "tame" the neck. not to mention this fretboard has recieved an awesome refret with slightly taller and wider vintage wire. (~0.032") the playability is really of the charts especially after the gilded treatment, with action as low as 3/64" across the board and absolutely no choking out on the higher frets. the frets are completely straight and the rod has very little relief. aside from playability, this piece is as animated as it looks, fun and slinky with a real unique sound. the old slab of alder has dehydrated over time and makes for an extremely resonant and sustained sound. the maple neck gives it that clarity and snap while the rosewood gives it more of a midrange boost. the vintage grey bobbin pickups single coils are extremely warm and woody. they have a very unique feel to them and you can hear the different properties of the alnico magnets that are not heard today. its got a real warm and balanced sound with lots of warm and open low end with a clear and bell like treble. the scooped mid range gives it that familiar strat sound but the articulation of each note is different. theres this round thump that starts each note off which is sonically unique, the attack has almost a different shape to it and its hard to explain but sounds almost sounds a little thinner than a strat sound and more quaky with a rounder warmer low end. this also has alot to do with the 24" scale length which provides different harmonic overtones as well as string tension. ultimately this piece has an extremely unique feel and sound that is not accessible in the modern day. theres a reason these models are going up in price, especially sought after colors like this piece. its a real joy to play and have and represents the history of american made guitars in alot of ways. thank you for looking this piece has been fully setup with our "gilded treatment." this means instrument has been fully inspected, professionally photographed and documented along will a full deep cleaning of any residual grime and dust, pots are cleaned of debris and sprayed with contact cleaner to add a layer of cleaning and protection. its amazing how clean pots and contacts bring so much tone back. polished frets to allow you to "glide" over the fretboard. dialed nut height with optimal slots and contact points with lubrication. action and intonation is dead on and neck relief is perfect. the neck has absolutely no warps or humps and the truss rod turns perfectly with tons of room to turn for seasonal changes. thank you for looking you'll be shocked to find how good our pro setup is! a 100$ value free! big bends fretting out is a thing of the past, find out for yourself!condition: 100% original with all original parts except an awesome

1995 fender duo sonic red electric guitar mim made in mexico w/fender gig bag. this is a 3/4 sized guitar, not a full size. it is generally intended to be a student model but it’s made well enough so that even a pro could use it. excellent addition to any collection as it’s easily a 9/10 condition wise. wow this guitar is in immaculate condition for a 27 year old guitar! it has barely been played. no rust on any of the metal anywhere, the white pickguard hasn’t discolored, the frets are just about perfect condition, this thing is barely played. i believe it’s a 1995, as the serial says n5, but i’ve seen 1995 duo sonics with an anniversary badge on them so it’s possible this is an early 1996. i looked it up on fender’s serial number lookup but nothing came back. this happens sometimes, unfortunately their records can be hit or miss. it works perfectly with no issues at all, no static or crackling in the input jack, the tuners work perfectly, control knobs spin perfectly and stop where they should, everything o

Fender duo-sonic hs – surf pearl with rosewood fingerboard. slightly used. made in 2017 in mexico. i've upgraded the pickups to a seymour duncan sh6 custom humbucker in the bridge and a seymour duncan vintage flat strat pickup in the neck position. i'll include the original pickups. i put them in the sd pickup cases. i'll pack it in a gator gig bag as well. the duo sonic also has dunlop strap locks installed too. i only ship to the continental usa and i only receive payments through paypal. thanks for looking.

Vintage very clean 1963 fender duo sonic guitar 100% original ,no issues plays great! fully intonated and no issue at all with frets or nut at all. neck is straight as a arrow and does not choke out . truss rod works great . really stable . comes with fresh set of d adario 10 gauge strings. 100% original with feb 63 neck which wonderful veneer board and comfortable c chape. great year from fender on pickups and especially necks imo. comes with the non functional coil cord probably original to it. the strap in pictures is not included . again the strap is not included . i like it as it looks like the cream record art lol. price increase is reflects frets and set up.nice example firm tuners are as good as it gets for these old ones . what happens is you buy a “vintage duo” 95% of the time the nut will need nut work and everything else with frets.well not this one,it is good as it gets concerning that. no fret wear and about perfect. tuners again great and the best i have had with these old ones. pots are great
