At first glance it looks pretty minimal, but I wanted something lightweight for a guitar that would be carefully handled–by me. Although the padding is quite thin, it has a nice heft to it and provides better cushioning than some bags I've used that are much thicker. Also, it fits a Strat like a glove, and the padding is in all the right places, so there's no flopping around inside the bag, so the guitar is really very well protected. There's only an outside accessory pocket, but big enough for a strap and extra strings. If you need a lot of features or think the guitar will be handled roughly, then maybe this isn't for you. But for most players, it's a nice bag, very light in weight and provides very good protection if you use some common sense…Lefty

Fender branded electric guitar case. Fits a Stratocaster. The padding is on the thinner side (the FE620 model has thicker padding and better protection). Plenty of pockets for accessories. I received one of these cases with me Fender American Elite Shawbucker Stratocaster. I've loved the case, no problems and has alot of protection. I decided to buy a "beater" Fender Player Strat that I didn't have to worry as much about as my other premium guitars. It unfortunately does not come with a case. I was a little worried it wouldn't fit the same, but it's perfect. This case can definitely take a beating and protect your precious guitar. I highly recommend this case if you need a case for a Stratocaster.Michael

This case fit my MIJ Jazzmaster like a dream! I was able to get a discount with Musician's Friend as the previous case I was going to buy was on backorder. This case has far better specs than the SKB case I was going to buy and its well worth the money. Supports the neck properly, and has a nice compartment. The only thing I wish this case had more of was I wish the compartment was big enough to fit extra pickguards. Its a minor gripe and still has plenty of room for tuners, strings, picks, and the trem arm. Bottom Line: If you have a Jazzmaster that you're going to travel with or you want to keep it safe, then this is a must buy!Tim

This Bag had more padding than I expected, based on the Reviews. Of course, I wouldn't recommend it for regular Gigging, Traveling etc. But for around the house, taking your Guitar to practice it's fine. The Fender logo in Red is a classy touch. The design of the gig bag makes it more suitable for right handed guitars. My left handed tele deluxe has to be put in backwards because of the angled top on the bag. Why couldn’t they make it with a straight top? It’s bad enough being left handed for guitars without unnecessary non-ambidextrous designs of gig bags! It's a great gig bag to have for you to carry a extra guitar just in case and have enough room for cables and a pedal or two and it's double padded on both side for both guitars.qslimtim

This is a gig worthy bag. It hold two electrics, Two of a Tele, Les, Strat. Even a 7 string Ibanez RG5127 and an 8 string Ibanez RG852.starofradiance

Ok yes the build quality is decent and it's good looking. Don't just accept other reviews at face value that this is some kind of panacea of quality. It's fine. Probably wouldn't hold up to heavy regular use but for medium to light use it should be fine. The carrying handle on particular looks like it would wear out quickly. I don't gig a lot anymore so the price/quality seemed good. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm returning it is the sizing is kind of absurd. It's way too big. I bought mainly to use with a Strat and there are big gaps all the way around. Cases of any type only work well when the fit is snug. If there is slop, bad things happen. I've traveled with many types of instruments over the last 20 years and the ones that have never been damaged were the ones that were well fitted in their cases. Picture attached with Strat.DR

This model checks of most of the basic features today's players expect from a high-end gig bag, and does so at an amazing price! The fabric, stitching and padding are top notch. The accessory pocket is classy – I like the removeable pouch that is perfect for a trem arm and setup tools. This gig bag is very ergonomic and is easy to carry. Obviously designed to fit a strat like a glove it may not fit other guitars as well. I did managed to get my Fernandes Retrorocket in it, even with the angled reverse headstock, but it was a bit too muck work. My Warmoth body Strat fits perfectly. Perfect bag for the strat mini. It keeps the guitar protected with enough space for some essentials accessories – cable, tuner, etc. I bought this for my 8 year old daughter and the straps to use as a backpack are perfect for her to carry.Octavio

My grand daughter has. 3/4 size strat and finding a hard shell case that wasn't custom was impossible for under 1000 bucks. So I found this case and while not hard shell it is very very adequate. It protects the guitar and is easy her to carry. If you need this type of case this fender product will not disappoint.TOMMY

This case is 3/4 size and fits the Squier Mini Stratocaster like a glove. Soft microfiber inside and polyester denier on the outside like luggage material is tough. It has about 3/8 or 10 mm per side of padding. If your looking for travel or professional case for your guitar this is not the case for you as it can be punctured or impact the instrument inside during travel. This is for home usage and light travel to lessons or just protect the guitar around the house. It has straps for carrying the guitar like a backpack and a handle, with a pocket on the front for a music book or accessories. Overall a great buy and good value for money.diesel85944

This bag is a bargain! Has plenty of solid padding and really offers Cadillac protection at a budget price. Have tested it with both straight and tilted headstocks and it works great with both, and offers much better protection than normal gig bags. Also offers more storage space than most other gig bags regardless of price range. Showed it to others in my original band and they couldn't believe the quality for the price! I've used the single guitar gig bag before and knew it was high quality and so far not disappointed at all with this new one. This was priced right and will do the job. It's not the most heavy duty bag I have, but definitely not the worst. All in all I'd recommend it for a gigging player with work tools, but NOT collectable axes. There's no real neck support in this bag, but if you're careful, you should be OK.Keith L

For the awesome price I didn't really expect such a nice bag! Padding was adequate, as well as a reinforced rubber track along the bottom. It's a snug fit for my Charvel Star so I cant use it for Explorers or Destroyers, Which I originally hoped to do, but no worries. Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. I purchased the tweed/red case and really love it. I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE

This case is not what I expected from a G&G case. I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure.The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Also, be aware that the "orange" plush interior is closer to red than orange and does not look like the photos.Adam

I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I say "seemed" because I returned the bass and so the bag as well.Vice

I bought a used guitar for back porch jamming. Needed a gig bag that didn't cost more than the guitar ,but would keep it safe and clean. Stopped at Sam ash because I was certain they had a variety of gig bags. Not my first visit or purchase.The Gator gig bag I chose is the economy for dreadnought guitars by Gator. Great price for my budget and well made. This bag is perfect for my needs. Easy carry and my guitar is covered.Just enough padding in all the right places for my guitar. Unless it has improved features or is being made in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase as the FE620 gig bag provides better protection and features (for Strat size guitars anyway). I purchased one in May 2021 and only because as I was of the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). The overall shape and look is fine. The bag is even reasonably protective. But that pocket is downright useless. Barely had enough space for a cable and a strap. It seems to me that a simple redesign of that pocket would result in no increase in costs for materials or labor and you'd have a better product. One could then fit say a cable, a strap and perhaps one of those tiny amps or a pedal.Brett

I've needed a gig bag for my short scale Jaguar bass for a while now, but none of the local music shops had them, or would take the time to check with their suppliers for a single purchase.. Luckily, Google led me to Sam Ash, which had a great deal on a real Fender bag, specifically designed to hold short scale basses. Ordering was quick and easy, and delivery was quick, too! The bag is well made, with enough pockets to hold my tuner and a bunch of accessories. Heavy duty zippers, with cool Fender logo pulls.. Backpack style straps on the back for safe transportation, and the exterior of the bag repels rain quite well. Bottom line is, it's a well made bag, that does everything I need it to do, and does it in style.Tommy V
