Reviews:
It's not pricey and not meant to protect from everything…..but as a storage bag at home or to take to practice or a local gig here and there it's totally fine. The big pocket is great for cables and a tuner to store in there. Also the back pack straps are a nice feature for this price level. Go for it!
I noticed on the inside there is some extra material to protect the strings and pickups from whatever it is you put in the pocket of the gig bag. It's not a lot of extra material but it's something. I like how it has two straps to go over each shoulder rather than one diagonal strap that clamps your neck with most bags. Overall, it's worth what you're paying when it comes to protecting what's inside it.Max

Reviews:
I received one of these cases with me Fender American Elite Shawbucker Stratocaster. I've loved the case, no problems and has alot of protection. I decided to buy a "beater" Fender Player Strat that I didn't have to worry as much about as my other premium guitars. It unfortunately does not come with a case. I was a little worried it wouldn't fit the same, but it's perfect. This case can definitely take a beating and protect your precious guitar. I highly recommend this case if you need a case for a Stratocaster.Michael
This case fit my MIJ Jazzmaster like a dream! I was able to get a discount with Musician's Friend as the previous case I was going to buy was on backorder. This case has far better specs than the SKB case I was going to buy and its well worth the money. Supports the neck properly, and has a nice compartment. The only thing I wish this case had more of was I wish the compartment was big enough to fit extra pickguards. Its a minor gripe and still has plenty of room for tuners, strings, picks, and the trem arm. Bottom Line: If you have a Jazzmaster that you're going to travel with or you want to keep it safe, then this is a must buy!Tim
I WISH they made this case for a Mustang bass. I love this style because it's fits my vintage 1980's Squier Japanese Jazz bass AND modern Fender Precision bass. Fits the instruments like a glove! Large internal pocket for accessories also a win win. I like it so much that I purchased two. Make one for JMJ Mustang bass and I'll gladly purchase it.

Purchased this case for my Fender Precision Bass. Mostly, will be kept in my studio, and occasionally on a few short gigs. Case seems sturdy, and I like the compartment size suitable for a strap, cable, etc. Also features a locking latch which is very handy. Pricewise, its a very nice case for my needs, without going into more expensive flight cases for touring. Very satisfied and should last for quite a while. Would buy this product again. Cheers!penlan-6941-us
Decent case for the money. Dimensions are a little off from whats advertised. Lower bout width is around 13-1/4 instead of 13-1/2 so my BC Rich Eagle fits a little snug. Overall, no more than I use it, itll work. Sure beats paying $300 for the actual BC Rich case. Also, if your headpiece sets at a steeper angle, it will put pressure on the headpiece. Depth is more for a Fender style headpiece.xv1700at3
Nice hard case. Had to get one cause soft bag wasn't good enough for guitar. This 2017-2018 "Black Stratacastor" knockoff version is all I need to learn how to play like the Rock Gods I admire. The seams on the bag came undone, and the bag was gifted to me. Took an hour or two of sewing, and the seams were put together better than new. I have a new free (for me) gigbag. I wish the bag had some way to attach other bags to it or D rings to hold things, but it was free and it works so I'm not complaining. If you order this, don't wait two months to inspect it, that's all I'm saying. Personally, I love it. If it was in pristine condition, how much would I pay for it? Hmm, probably worth a C-note. If price is no object, you can do better. Oh yeah, I use it for my Jazzmaster and it holds any of my other guitars securely. I don't care if it's too long; as I said, it works.Brainiac from the year 2000
This gig bag has a lot of potential. It is designed to perfectly cradle your Fender bass. The bad part smthat the zipper is a low quality zipper for what you would expect for a bass. I put my 5 string American Professional Jazz Bass in the bag but the zipper gave way on the bottom almost causing the bass to fall out. A higher quality zipper would have made this a keeper. I exchanged it for a Road Runner case, less protection, higher quality zipper. Having slightly more protection would have been better, but it wasn't worth the risk of having the zipper give way.DWANE
Excellent Guitar bag, however I ordered the FB620 in error. The FB620 bag is for bass guitar, I thought I had ordered a bag for my Fender Stratocaster. When I discovered my mistake I ordered the correct bag which is FE620 from GAK. The FE620 is an excellent bag and so is the customer service from GAK. I returned the FB620 to GAK and I was refunded on the same day they received the returned FB620. That’s what I call first class customer service.Terence
5. Musician's Gear Mgmbg Molded Abs Electric Bass Case
Product Details:
This molded guitar case for electric bass guitars is built road-tough and features a plush interior lining – heavy-duty hardware – interior accessory compartment – and locking fasteners. – fits most electric bass guitars – abs molded construction – ergonomic matching handle – reinforced bottom – plush padded interior with accessory compartment
Reviews:
The molded ABS Exterior is very nice and suggests quality. But the substructure seems flimsy and is subject to some twisting and torque. The interior is very minimalist. It has a layer of black plush padding, but there is no compartment for picks, tuners or other accessories though there is plenty of room for one. The plush padding is very thin and seems cheap. The buckles and handle look and feel cheap. There is a velcro strap to secure the neck, but it looks cheap and not very well secured. It could use a 2nd velcro neck strap for better stability. I'd be concerned about a traveling with a heavy Strat or Telecaster in this case, or flying anywhere, as it may be too much for the case to handle after a while. Basically it's a low end case – but with an ABS Exterior. In my opinion it is not worth the regular price and is only worth considering at the sale price.Gary
I received this just a few days ago after purchasing a used one on clearance through MF. I bought it for a Sire P7 5-string, which it fits perfectly. It arrived in great shape, just about like new, with the exception of a couple of tiny nicks/scuffs you have to look pretty hard to find. The case is literally identical in every meaningful way to the Road Runner ABS bass case, which I have two of for other basses. The only difference is the interior of the Road Runner case is gray, while the MG is black. Materials feel exactly the same, cutouts are exactly the same, dimensions are identical, it has the retaining strap for the neck, and everything externally is completely identical, except that it doesn't say "Road Runner" on it. Having toured extensively with the Road Runner version, I have no doubt that this case will hold up just fine to light touring. I think I even flew with it once, but I wrapped a couple of straps around the outside, "gate checked" it and kept an eye on it. One of the ABS "extrusions/bumpers", for lack of a better descriptor, of the RR version cracked after some use use, but otherwise it has held up well. I expect the MG variety will do the same. For the price difference, it's a no-brainer. Get the MG. They're exactly the same in every way that matters. As long as you're not flying regularly with it, or allowing drunken roadies to toss it roughly into the back of a bus or trailer, it will hold up just fine.Bass Fella
Had my eye on one of these for a long time, so I finally pulled the trigger and glad I'm did. This case will suit my needs nicely. Fits 26.5" scale Jackson Dinky or Soloist almost perfectly. The headstock just barely grazes the plush lining, and it is not obstructed or pressed against the floor of the case. I couldn't ask for a much better fit. This case will be used for general transport to and from rehearsals, and I have no doubt that it will excel in that. However, I must agree with some other reviews here in regards to road-worthiness. I would not happily rely on this case to protect my axes from the rigors of a grueling world tour, but it's perfect for the hometown hero or simple transport. The outer ABS shell is flimsier than a real deal SKB, but seems sufficiently durable and decent for the price range. The interior is very soft, and cradles my instruments nicely. The security neck strap is a nice touch. Storage areas flanking the neck have plenty of room for a strap and other accessories, but no lids means keeping a trem bar there could be a little risky. I've found a pack of D'Addarios fits in the spaces nicely however, kind of making a makeshift lid, so there is that. The hardware on the outside of the case is sufficient, but not great. Things lock into place well enough, but when not locked they are pretty loose feeling. I'm confident they'll hold up, but I'm not blown away. The aluminum channels around the sides fit together well enough once locked, but I'm sure its not waterproof. There is an audible "click" when closing the case from the aluminum channels kind of snapping into place on the back. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I got this case for a very stupid deal.(MF's Reward program ROCKS) For the price I paid, I am thrilled with it. However, the story would likely be a bit different had I paid full price. Make no mistake, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it that I have found.. it's just… adequate. But overall, Happy with my purchaseSkinnedpuppy

Reviews:
Bought for a Yamaha TRB5 series bass. The outer fabic, zips and construction appear to be solidly made. The amount of padding is sufficient without making the gigbag bulky or difficult to handle. I'm very pleased with it. Coincidentalty and independent of my choice my son also has one for his Fender. If there is a downside to it, it does not have a neck securing strap, but my bass fits so snuggly that I doubt that it will move around inside during transit, so, for me, not a deal breaker.yves545

The Fender Jumbo Acoustic Case is pretty amazing considering it was $69! Lid and latch alignment are spot on. Interior is plush, clean and padded in the right spots. Outside there is slight tolex separation at side seam and slight glue exposure along bottom edge seam but, overall very clean tight workmanship. It fits my Yamaha jumbo very well. Plenty durable for my purposes – going from the house to the car.yawnotec
Purchased Fender's T-bucket Bass a few months ago, but the store didn't have the case. They had to order and the price with shipping was outrageous for me to buy. last week saw the cost of the case with free shipping and to me,from MusiciansFriend. Purchased and a deal that made sense. I have quite a few guitars and they all have cases, Hard Shell. This hard shell case is the perfect fit for my T-Bucket Bass. I can't see owning a guitar without a case.(I don"t even play out anymore), but they are protected. Thank You MusciansFriend.Bassbull
I bought this case mainly as a way to keep my acoustic humidified over the winter. So far it's doing a great job at that. My only issue is that the flap to the storage compartment was cut very crooked leaving a pretty sizable gap on one side. Large enough for a Kyser capo to fit through. For a brand like Fender and for this price, I would expect a little better quality control, so I'm taking one star off. It's not enough of a flaw to send back, but it's definitely enough to be disappointing and irritating. Otherwise great case. I would still recommend it.

10. Fender Standard Mustang / Musicmaster / Bronco Bass Guitar Case (Black)
Product Details:
Excellent condition, all latches and hinges are intact and functional. the interior lining is worn, but intact and is free of odors interior dimensions are 43" l, 13"w, and about 4" deep. so suitable for a short scale 60s/70s fender style bass. the only major issue is the interior compartment has come loose on the right side and will need to be secured. i can't find any manufacturer's marks on it. it is a high quality case and based on my experience probably dates to late 60s to mid 70s.

Reviews:
Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. All of them on the store were like this by the way.Clarissa
I purchased the tweed/red case and really love it. I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE
This case is not what I expected from a G&G case. I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure. The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Also, be aware that the "orange" plush interior is closer to red than orange and does not look like the photos.Adam

Reviews:
I think the price of guitar cases are totally inflated and to get one on sale is something one has to do to stretch the dollar. Okay, that being said, this case fits my China made Fender strat Squier to a tee. The eye catching tweed fits the Fender vibe. If you noticed my cons was durability i.e. the cases tweed look is attractive, but you wonder as road gigs pile up if the tweed doesnt start to tear and expose the raw components exterior of the case underneath? If they had lacquered the tweed exterior, the case itself would have a fighting chance to slip and slide into vans and carriage areas with little thought of rips and tears it would acquire in a short time. Again, I dont gig much these days, but if I was looking at a case long term that could withstand the road, this case would questionable unless you "handle with care" when you transport and load and unload your gear.James R
I didn't feel like spending over $200 and waiting until who knows when, for a Gibson Explorer case, so I picked one of these up. For the money, it's a good case. I carry my guitars with me to shows, so they are always in my vehicle, so this case does the job. I will say it feels a tad more sturdy than the Gator version of this case, and it's slightly smaller, which is a good thing given how large an Explorer case has to be. The only improvement I could wish for, is to make it tad smaller still. There's still several inches of room from the headstock to the edge of the case. Overall, for the money, I'm very happy with the case.Tony
I purchased this knowing that it wouldn't be a super durable road case but adequate for storage and playing out now and then. In those ways, it met my expectations. The case is made of very thin plywood, but not so flimsy that it can't function as a good light duty case. The hardware appears to be of decent quality and all of the latches lined up well. The lining was neatly applied and actually fairly soft and plush. It is a universal fit case, so I wasn't expecting it to be completely form fitting to my Telecaster. It will move around a bit in the case when you transport it. It could use better neck support, as well. But overall, not bad for the price. Where this product really came up short is with the application of the tweed covering. The tweed was applied over wood chips and small voids in the wood frame. No effort was made in sanding or prepping the wood prior to applying the cover material. This is only cosmetic, but looks really sloppy and substandard. Maybe I just got a rough one. I didn't expect perfection at this price, but I don't think this case ever should have left the factory like this.Pat
12. Fender Deluxe Molded Bass Case – Black

The Vertigo is about as good as it gets for gigbags. The top load design really give way to protecting the body of the bass. This case provides more protection than any other gigbag Ive used. I make sure I zip it up when not in use, so stuff doesnt get down in to the bottom of the case. With a traditional fully unzippable case, you can open it up and see the whole area, easily cleaning it. With the Vertigo, you have to take a little extra effort to make sure it stays clean. I love how you can just slip the bass in and the neck holder does a great job of keeping it secure. Ill be offering this case as an upgrade on the basses I build. It doesnt have as many pockets as the other hi-end gigbags such as the ProTec Contego, so you have to buy the extra snap on case to carry stuff like effect pedals or a direct box.gregory1041
This is the best bag to date that I own. Scored it at $190 and free shipping! Safe and secure, I added a tsa bag lock which fit great through the zippers. Very spacious front pocket that is great for holding various cables, books or even my wireless. There is a small netted pocket inside of the larger one, but the design is flawed for holding smaller items. It is a weird boomerang shape that allows items to slide down the side. If youre looking for a great, safe, well built bag for holding a strap, cable, tuner and possibly a small collapsible bass stand then this one will get the job done! I also picked up the tick for easier access for business cards, a soft cloth, some tools and my primary cable. Now its a portable office!ocdman2012
Superb bass gigbag. Offers excellent protection, while being light and portable. Very well made, quality design and material. Particularly like the "boot", top loading design and hard wearing "sharkskin" exterior. Quite pricey but worth it to protect a prized instrument. Would prefer internal lining to be tauter and tougher, maybe stitched and quilted. Would buy again and particularly recommend to gigging players using cars or public transport.Mr G. S.

It's adequate. Not really bad. but not really that good. It provides minimal protection like most gig bags but it has some large and very spacious external pockets. Personally I would recommend spending a few more dollars and getting the World Tour Deluxe Gig Bag. The padding is much more substantial and the zippers are of a higher quality. Summary: For $20 it ain't bad. Visually the giant American flag graphic is really cool.shellback1995

when I first tried to put the bass in it- it didn't fit like I thought it should have fit- but i understand that its "new" and needs 'breaking in'.. im happy with my purchase, proaudioland won't get a bad rep from me. I just think maybe a modification to their design so you don't have to force it in… it will work just fine and the wall hanger??? SUPER BAD@$$! strong- holds my BC RICH Warlock without any issues was installed in less than 5 minutes ***** (5 stars for the hanger)702stagehand

Terrible waste of money and time. Weak and flimsy construction. It is the worse case I have ever seen, and I have been playing 29 years and have seen a lot of cases. When closed and latched the case was crooked and would not lay flat on the floor. You could stand it on end and twist it back and forth which I've never seen a another case do. It is just really flimsy and would not protect my bass from anything except maybe dust. I returned it. Never buying Gator again as this is my second Gator case that was returned. None, I have no idea how this passed inspection.Josh-xld-z
I bought this case for my vintage Gibson EB-0. Since the bass is short scale I tried very hard to find a good quality case with a neck support in the middle, since the bass would not fit in most molded style cases. This was my first purchase from Gator case and I am very happy with it. The quality is better than most cases out there, It has good padding, the lining is very soft and my bass fits well. The case is very balanced as well, it's easy to carry and sits upright on it's own with out falling over like a lot of cases I have had experience with.Anonymous-Ov4.E
I bought this case here about a year ago. It's a decent enough case and I like the looks, but it's not real sturdy and not worth the cost. My biggest complaint is that after only a few months, the saddle the neck rests in failed. It's like a foam bar with a u-shaped depression for the neck, and the weight of the bass pushing against the foam when being carried or sitting with the handle up caused the foam to deform, and now when I put the bass in, close the lid and flip the case up to pick it up by the handle, the bass rotates in the case allowing the headstock to fall to the bottom. I guess it's okay except for that, but it is a little pricey for the quality you get. I wish I had spent another 20 bucks and bought the Fender SKB case. My USA jazz came with one of those and it's a far superior item. Now I'm thinking about buying another Fender case to replace the Gator, which makes buying it a waste of money.thumpin420
