Reviews:
I have always bought name brand guitar effects but those have become prohibitively expensive. I took a chance on this little number and I don't regret it at all. It doesn't have a power supply so be sure to get one that is compatible in polarity. I hooked it into my effects loop and took off. I have very particular tones that I'm looking for and with 10 bands of EQ I found that I could easily dial it right in.The construction is solid enough and the slides perform well. My Fender Ultimate Chorus is very sensitive volume- wise, and it wasn't long before I was using the gain on the EQ. After a few minutes, I wondered how I'd gotten by without it! You can fatten up your sound just the way you want it. Or take a little unwanted treble out. I just got it today, so I can't speak to the Caline's longevity, but right away it made finding the desired tone easy peasy. I would definitely buy it again as I've very quickly become dependent on its versatility.amazocon
The box has abilities, as do one thousand other pedals. To be more decisive about how the product is put together means a lot to someone that works in the industry. To make the product big enough to include all components, such as the battery closet, is only looking out for your customers that purchase your product. There could have been a isolated closet add to the device, vented on the cover for heating possibilities for the battery. So no, i wouldnt purchase this item again, unless the manufacturer takes the time to create the best product that is possible.dlcca-da-mvjeokdwo

Reviews:
They have gotten expensive over the years (along with everything else) but it's history and reputation speaks for itself. I've had various Boss pedals over the course of 30 years and I have never, ever, not once had one that failed or malfunctioned. I wanted a cheaper alternative but what made me commit to this pedal, once again, was it's true bypass/buffer capabilities. I'm using this one differently than I've customarily have used them in the past. This is to be used in a pedalboard dedicated to an electrified Kalimba (pictured below). I'll be wiring it up soon. The Boss is the ONLY new pedal that will be on that board. All that are there now I've had sitting for years and decided to put them to use.Christopher
Perhaps EQ is not the most exciting of pedals compared to other effects, but this really does make an enormous difference to your sound and help you get the best from the rest of your gear. Boost the mids to stand out from bass. Scoop the mids and boost bass/treble to sound like Metallica. Use the independent Level control as an overall volume boost (or limit – but who wants that?!) Extremely easy to set up and configure, in Boss's usual bullet-proof format. Highly recommended.Steve M.
Brilliant on-the-spot tone-shaping tool. Opens up virtually infinite sound possibilities, very handy when stacking overdrives with some or a lot of overlap in their tonal voicings. Also great for approximating the tones of completely different styles of pickups. Small adjustments tend to work best, a subtle nudge of the slider in the problematic frequency band is often all you need. Equally, you can throw that out and morph the tonal profile to something incredibly different. After my tuner it's hands-down the most indispensable pedal on my board. Allows me to shape the one tone control on the Pro Junior IV into even more harmonic/percussive/airy/creamy/bell-like territory. Been guitaring more or less 20 years now and i could probably count on one hand the amount of reviews I've been compelled to write, if that's an indicator of how game-changing the GE-7 has been to the fundamental way in which i dial in a tone.Mark

Reviews:
This EQ performs as advertised and is really quiet when inline working. The filters are centered exactly where they are supposed to be and function quite effectively. I tested this unit with my distortion analyzer and found it to be as good as a unit twice the cost. I installed it in a church PA system replacing an old EV unit. The church had told me that they always had noise with the old EQ from original installation. This one shows no signs of any added hiss. Great unit!! Customer service at Parts Express is absolutely perfect also.ican fixanything
This equalizer is an unbeatable value. I addition to the 31 1/3 octave sliders there are low and high pass filters plus an output level control. You have your choice of XLR and 1/4 inch balanced inputs and outputs, plus there's even RCA connectors to interface with consumer gear. Plus, the thing is DEAD QUIET. Mine was installed in a church and if there was any hum or noise it would have been audible.GPOEN
The unit is being used to modify only the sub channel of a system. It works as advertised and is generally acceptable. The only issues are 1) the detent positions of the sliders are all below the "0" (flat") point on the front scale. Not important but makes reading final settings somewhat clumsy. 2) The unit reduces the sub's output level even when EQ is set to full output. Can be adjusted further at the sub itself or with the AVR sub output level but it doesn't seem that shouldn't be necessary. Again, not a serious problem but worth noting. Certainly worth its purchase price and does what was expected. Prompt delivery, reasonably good packaging, arrived without damage. Would recommend.Dennis

Specifications:

Reviews:
Bought this equalizer as an experiment to use between my behringer mini mixer and powered monitors. Monitors have no tone control, just volume and sounded a bit harsh in the mid frequencies. Was able to dial in a nice warm tone using this equalizer. No noise. No rack mounted eq to haul around. It was a win win. Perfect for sweetening up a small PA system. Will also use at some point on guitar and electric piano. Although the case is plastic and not metal, the device seems fairly solidly constructed. Have been using with a 9v battery with no issues. Would recommend this product. Very satisfied.wheezersguitars
I've been playing guitar for several decades, mostly acoustic. I purchased this several weeks ago to add tone shaping through the effects loop of an Orange Micro Dark at home. The equalizer has been great for this application. The 7 sliders provide a near infinite amount of adjustment, allowing you to experiment and fine tune your tone. In addition, it is extremely quiet. The pedal feels heavy enough, but is made of (seemingly tough) plastic. The sliders are effective but I'm not convinced of their ruggedness through live gigs. This is my first Behringer product so have no first hand experience with long term reliability. I am very happy with this equalizer and for the price wonder why I hadn't added it long ago – it really is much more effective than few tone control knobs.C-ville Brent
This is a nice EQ pedal. It worked just fine and was 100% functional when I bought it new. The pedal is relatively quiet when pushing the front end of my Carvin low-gain amp. In the front of my Marshall however it was a little too noisy. The EQ parameters were quite usable and did a nice job shaping my tone. The gain function was less usable, again because of the added noise (hiss). This noise was apparent using the battery or a 9v adapter. The quality of the pedal is fine, but its 100% made of plastic. I had no usability problems with it, but you should be aware that it is in fact all plastic. Overall its worth 4 stars because for $25 its a great deal. However I spent a little more on a used MXR 10-band w a 18 volt power supply that is much more quiet when pushing my Marshall. If you want some EQ shaping and don't want to drop a lot of money, this pedal is probably your best bet. You have to spend about four times as much (or more) to get higher quality, and you have to decide whether that higher quality is worth four times the price.derald75

Reviews:
The ART 341 isn't for high quality recording (though I like it fine for my budget minded home recording system) but it is very useful basic tool. The Art 341 has all the basic features that you need for many uses. The ART 341 does a great job for me. I perform solo as a guitarist and vocalist. I use one side to enhance my Gibson Hummingbird and the other side for my vocal channel. It tames the couple of feedback points and backs off the heavier bass tones of an amplified acoustic guitar. The sound quality is much better than if you just use your mixer's EQ controls. The ART 341 has to be given a 10 in the value category. It's so useful for such a crazy low price.
There are a lot of mixed reviews on here, so I was a bit cautious of purchasing. I only have one, and have only had it a day, so I can't speak to reliability, but it seems solid and well built. I tested this running one channel, high level, from a mixer through this to the power amp, with the other channel running direct. With the levels set to 0 gain, there's no audible difference between the channel run through the EQ and that which was direct. There's also no additional noise between the two channels, which leads me to believe the 94dB S/N ratio is conservative. Band adjustments seems reasonable, and the high/low sensitivity is nice. I didn't check for power on pops, but there aren't any pops or clicks when going to bypass, although it is audible. The only negative I found is that the outputs seem to clip a bit before the lights go on. To do that requires a hot input source, and turning up the channel gain quite a bit. It seems to have a lot of headroom, so this isn't too much of an issue. This is a simple analog unit, and anyone doing serious EQ for live sound, recording, etc., is going to go digital, but if you LIKE simple analog EQs, this would be hard to beat.Tom

Reviews:
After long research and a round of tips from pros, I decided an EQ could help me refining the tones and finding the "sweet spot" for my rig. This unit has several advantages over the alternatives, mostly the number of frequency sliders and the 4 slot memory (+ the manual, which allows for 5 EQ setups to be reached quickly). It responds perfectly, to every slight change. The LCD screen shows the curve interactively, which is very helpful for the configuration. The main use I will initially have for it includes: tweaking the sound of humbuckers (to single coilish) an P90s. To play around, basically… As a booster, with a memory patch adjusted for that purpose. Lastly, it is not exclusive for guitar, as the the spectrum includes lower and higher cuts. So it is a good tool for recording other instruments as bass or piano, and I reckon It could be handy to experiment with voice recording as well.

As an audio engineer who has done a lot of analog design and guitar player, I find this to be a real treat. For one, no sliders? Who really feels like bending over your guitar to micro-adjust little sliders at your feet? Real knobs! As far as electrical design goes, it hits the sweet spots in center frequency and Q just right. It really brings a lot of life out of your instrument.
Overall: I have been searching long time for really great EQ. In my opinion EQ and reverb are THE MOST important pedals in any rig. Doesn't matter you play metal, rock, blues or country and Equator nailed it. I'm metal player and been looking long time for EQ, that would shape low end and lower mids and change em into incredible roar. Equator is a first EQ I have did it. It took me few days to learn and tweak this pedal, but final result is incredible. So my rig is Peavey 6505+ to Fryette Powerstation PS-100 to Friedman Runt 2×12 120Watts cab ( V30"s)Run Equator as a first pedal in FX loop , before delay and reverb at 18Volt from Cioks DC-7. Before I bought it, have read review that it's noisy. To be honest every EQ is kind of noisy .MXR are very noisy, WMD utility EQ noisy, Whirlwind EQ noisy…etc, etc, but Equator isn't really that noisy. There is a small amount of noise at 18V , but totally acceptable to the point you don't have to use noise gate. Also important is how you set your volume knob on the pedal. I matched signal level coming from fx send with pedal. Now I concentrated on two mids frequencies. Mid 1 and Mid2 frequencies ( lower row) These two knobs ( actually job they doing) are genius. Together with bass knobs allow you to shape your low end to very wide tonality spectrum. From juicy and tight pure metal low end , to doom destruction. It simply need a little bit time to understand this pedal and spend a bit time to tweak it. In general all pots reacts really great for adjustments. No hissing high or boomy bass. Equator is really great tool and I really recommend it to everybody…doesn't matter what kind of music you play.
Great EQ pedal for bringing out midrange tone on your rig.Kyle

Product Details:
The eqp-wa is a re-creation of the most renown tube equalizer in studio history, the "pultec eqp-1a". not only does the look and feel of the eqp-wa match the classic pultec units, but the sonic quality has been carefully considered by using top-end components such as cinemag transformers and premium tubes. this fully discrete tube eq can pull euphoric sonics from any track and bring a brilliance and luster to mixes that’s nearly impossible to achieve inside-the-box. we are proud to have once again redefined the industry standard by bringing a fully professional-grade equalizer to the market at a price that's just as remarkable as the unit.

Just got two of em for a stereo bus in my studio rack, I've only used them on some stereo mix downs of my recording so far, Wow! What a difference they made. My bottom end is balanced now and the high end is smooth and airy w/o harsh artifacts, like someone removed a blanket from my monitors, love the EQP-WA's and will definitely buy the warm audio bus compressor for sure.Fabian Vasquez Jr
Warm Audio makes some great products, so I took a chance on this one when looking at an EQ. (Disclaimer: had a store credit elsewhere and decided to use it on this unit). It's made in the USA, and it has tubes….so a few things going for it….reliable, and "vintage" sounding. Controls are simple, no "learning curve" involved, as far as getting familiar with the device….but it takes a bit of time to tweak in the kind of sound you want. It's strongly suggested to write down your settings, too. If your main focus is on engineering/producing, by all means, get this one, without question. It's an excellent value! For those who are STRICTLY musicians/songwriters, it takes a lot of your time, plus is not the cheapest—it may be better spent on other equipment. One final note…..you will notice the gap on midrange frequencies……800 to 3k. But guess what? On the original Pultec(as well as the Apogee software version), the midrange gap is bigger(100 to 3k). With Warm, you have more flexibility, with the 200/400/800 settings.Billy K.
This thing sounds awful. Nothing like the real deal it tries to rbe. The housing looks and feels cool because that's where they invested their resources so that it looks like the real deal. However, the sound of this device is horrid. You're better off with a less expensive Asian EQ. Everything sounds harsh, no headroom, grounding problems, low grade components. No thanks!Johny Pultec
15. Earthquaker Devices Tone Job V2 Eq & Boost
Product Details:
Is your tone pulling its weight? put it to work with a tone job! this compact boost & eq device is based around the tone-shaping options available in old audiophile-grade stereo preamps, making it a great addition to your pedalboard no matter what instrument you play. so what does that mean, exactly? it means that you'll hear full frequency response from your tone job everywhere you plug it in – guitar, bass, drum machine, synthesizers, steel drums, harpsichord, kazoo or wherever! the tone job has active eq controls for "bass,""mid," and "treble," with up to 20 db of cut or boost, which is handy for pairing up with other pedals in your chain to breathe new life into old dirt. unlike boring old graphic eqs, the tone job's eq controls are interactive, so you can experiment with different settings to alter the response and overall feel of the device, getting your tone out of the lunchroom and back on the clock. place the tone job at the beginning of your chain to alter the overall character of your guitar, or use it at the end to boost output at the end of a long cable run and fine-tune your tone. the "level" control on the tone job can boost your signal up to 5x the original input level, so you'll always be heard, and makes for a fantastic solo and/or clean boost! the tone job is all analog, true-bypass, and built one-at-a-time by a bunch of standing waves and a few bass traps in acoustically challenged akron, ohio, usa.

Take your already awesome amp and make it better! Buy one!brentlandrum
This has quickly become the most essential pedal I own as far as shaping my tone goes. It's easy to adjust and I am very happy I bought it. I haven't even tried running it on 18V power (which would give it even more characterization and juice) and I am still satisfied. I highly recommend it!nujohjo-uaodgesr
16. Indio By Monoprice Cali Complete Full-Size Electric Guitar Package With 10w Amp, Strap, And Extra Strings
Product Details:
Learning to play guitar can be a fun and exciting journey, but with all the many options and possible accessories, knowing what equipment you need can be a bit intimidating. skip the hassle and focus on your playing with the indio cali complete electric guitar package. featuring a full-size electric guitar, 10-watt guitar amp, and basic accessories, learning to play has never been more convenient.
Reviews:
Everything you need to get started if you've never played before. Everything is perfectly functional and works. I decided to get this kit after seeing some youtube reviews – the guitar is great for the money, punches above its price point, is easy to upgrade, etc. The neck came perfectly adjusted, haven't checked the tremolo yet. This kit including an amp and cable is the real kicker, and makes this an absolute steal for the price. The amp is a lot larger and louder than I expected for being essentially free and has built in gain and tone adjustments so you can get a more 'metal' sound out of it without any effects pedals. The cable is short and the weakest point here, replace it with something good. But it'll still get you playing right out of the box. The rest of the accessories (strap, picks, gig bag) are extremely cheap and not really worth keeping, but hey – they were basically free. The gig bag in unpadded, unlike when you buy the guitar without the amp.Alex
This is my very first strat-style guitar. It came well set-up. The action was nice and low, fret ends were dressed nicely with no sharp ends. There was some buzzing unplugged on the low E, but wasn't noticeable when plugged in to an amplifier. I bought this on sale. The entire kit was only $10 more than buying just the guitar – which also was on sale. From my perspective that was a no brainer. Though, the gig bag you get with the kit is nothing more than a dust cover, unlike the padded gig bag you get when you buy the guitar by itself. The amp that came with the kit is good as a bedroom amp, and it has a headphone out, so that's a big win. It does have noticeable noise, so I don't use it as much as I'd like to. Overall, I'm very impressed with my purchase. Recommended.New User
I bought the first guitar for my daughter about 6 mos ago and it was great. Then I bought a second one for her to have at her mom's house. I expected it to be great as well and didn't think much of it. Since it has been at her mom's house, I've never had a chance to try it out. One day I had the opportunity to try it out and one of the string was rattling against the nut. It was a couple of months after I bought it before I knew, so we just lived w/ it. Unfortunate, but otherwise, it's a very nice guitar. I gave this 3 stars, but it was mostly our fault. Had I knew early on, I'm sure they would make an attempt to resolve the issue if I let them knew.Iris
