Better than any locking tuner, you just have to measure the string to the second peg above the one you're using, cut it and put it in. When you get to the unwound ones, clip a little shorter (can't tell you how to measure, I figured it out by trial and error. I would estimate 3 wraps by sort of wrapping it loosely, then cut). Perfect match to the vintage F tuners made on the great strats of yore, you can age them to match by fuming the finish with muriatic acid. Place the tuners on an upside down bowl in a piece of tuperware with an inch or so of acid. Seal the lid. Place in a bath of hot water, and the acid will heat and evaporate. After 10 – 15 minutes check the level of chrome removal. You can always do more, but you can't easy put chrome back on. Rinse with cold water when you're done. RAWK ON!!!!ki_jaybones
I love these tuners. They look cool, they hold tune well. I would not upgrade to these for any guitar that doesn't already have them. Use these for repair/replacement only if you have a guitar that comes with these machines (Eric Clapton, 50s reissue strats). American standards, deluxe and mexican strats all use a different mounting method and have a different peg hole size which is why they provide you with those bushings. If you use these to replace the stock Ping tuners you must be able to drill and tap the machine screw mounting holes. The bushings do not set tight in the existing tuning machine peg hole. I used a drop of super glue to hold the bushings in place to the head. I did use these to make a black MN MIM strat look more like Eric's blackie, so it is not impossible to use them, just know you will have to drill new screw holes and tap them for mounting. Be very careful to not drill all the way through the head and with brass mounting screws. There are no extra screws. It is very easy to bur the brass phillip screw heads beyond use. After your holes are drilled use a pick guard screw to thread hole, then use the provided mounting screw for the tuning machine. I drilled and tapped holes to install one machine at a time to more easily manage alignment of machines from one to the other. After I was done it looked factory issue and worked the same. I put a drop of oil between the peg and bushing before stringing to ease peg binding against the bushing.
I build custom Strat/Tele's so this may not apply to all but…. Like others said this peg uses press-fit front bushing style similar to low cost Squire Strat. For standard diecast pegs I drill 10 mm diameter holes on peg head. I use aftermarket necks with 8 mm diameter hole (I remember it is same as low cost Squire). What I do on 8 mm holes for this peg is I drill 4 mm deep 23/64 (9.1 mm??) diameter counterbore holes to accommodate the bushings. I strongly recommend using drill press not hand drill for this. Also for a better support of peg shaft, I made Teflon sleeves to fill the peghead holes of 8 – 10 mm with silicone grease. One minor issue I have is peghead of some aftermarket Tele neck is a little undersized so I need to file the end peg (High E) a bit to fit.Basement Blues

The guitar kit came in fairly quickly, but right away there was a problem. It came with five strings, with what was left of the sixth stuck in the guitar, the tuner was shattered, and the kit was missing the Allen wrenches and the picks. The box was loosely packed with no styrofoam or anything, with the guitar in the gig bag and the rest of the stuff thrown into the pocket besides the amp. Seems like it was either a rushed job, or all come boxed like that. The guitar plays alright once the strings were replaced, but it loses tuning pretty quick. Theres obvious signs of neglect such as body chips near the neck, and scratches on the pick guard. The finish on the guitar is pretty nice, and it feels alright in the hands. I wouldnt recommend if you expect everything to come as described in the picture though.jonaba4165
Great little set for beginners or even intermediates as you get the whole package. The tuner is very nice and works well. Everything to get started and the guitar itself feels very solid and has better than average settings for the sounds you'd want. The extra strings were fine but I'm adding a better quality set which I already had anyway. Either way you can't go wrong on this package. The amp has good settings and sounds nice. An impressive sounding device but I haven’t been able to get it to work yet. The software package that comes with it on CD is dated and doesn’t work with Windows 10. The drivers on CD are old too. So you have to get the new drivers from the Behringer web site. Then you have to get a sound software package. Audacity is too simple so I signed up for Pro Tools free, but it wouldn’t install the audio drivers. Then you need the Behringer USB link and then try to get the lot to work. I couldn’t. DJ City offered me a refund but I’m going to persist. I also bought a Jam for the iPad and that worked within minutes.Richard W.
This product appeared to be a very simple, almost plug and play, interface that would let me play my RISA ukulele through my PC and laptop. I have been researching how to make this interface work for about a month. Some users are very lucky and very satisfied. Others, like me, have yet to get a single note out the PC speakers or headphones. It is an inexpensive device, but should still be straight-forward to install. IT IS NOT. Drivers are no longer available at the vendor site. The fact that even this business can not provide concrete installation instructions that result in this device working should be enough to scare anyone off this product. I'll continue to work with it to see if I can ultimately make it work, but I won't be holding my breath. I may be an electronics engineer but this thing has enough settings to scare me off.Richard
Pros: Compact, Easy To Use Cons: Limitations With Win7 Other thoughts: compact and pretty much plug-n-play. I'm running Windows 7 Pro and found out that I'm not able to listen to my guitar plugged into the unit AND the audio on my laptop. This is a limitation to me, as I purchased this interface for the purpose of being able to play along with my online guitar lessons. I have to add that I noticed this when using the ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL). I attempted to test another one of the built in Windows drivers but the latency is just unacceptable. I haven't tried this with any other version of Windows (eg: XP) to see if this is still the case. Just something to mention. Again, it's compact with it's tiny footprint, which is great for mobilility. When setup to play guitar using the ASIO drivers, the guitar sound and latency is fine. Personally, even at a low price of under $30, i wouldn't have invested in this unit knowing what i know now. And returning the unit just isn't worth my time and effort.metalmania408

I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I'm giving this bag only 3 stars on account of the price increase; for it used to cost about 4-5 less than the Fender FE620 but now costs about 10 more than? Unless it has improved features or is being made in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase as the FE620 gig bag provides better protection and features (for Strat size guitars anyway). I purchased one in May 2021 and only because as I was of the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). I should have sized things up beforehand since the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass I bought the bag for is essentially a slightly shorter, slightly sleeker version of a Strat (for which the FE620 was made). The best thing the Gator bag seemed to have going for it was the zipper which seemed rather heavy duty while mesh pockets on the front of a gig bag aren't particularly practical while being subject to tearing/ripping. As you can see by the photos, there's too much room in the bag for a Strat size guitar (though one might be able to insert the headstock into the bag's internal top pocket to prevent the guitar from sliding around too much in the bag). Epiphone said this kit was a joke. They said they never use the products in this case. the 2 sets of strings are to light. The string and frett cleaner are very difficult to use and an Epiphone EXPERT told me that the directions on the canister was totally wrong. GIBSON/EPIPHONE expert said that there was not a value in the case' The strap has 2 large metal rings that bang against my new guitar. The EPIPHONE STRAP that is made specifically for my guitar is almost impossible to get on the guitar. I complained to SAM ASH and I have yet to hear back. This is a fun way to get string and woodwind sounds from an electric guitar. It took me a couple of hours of practice to get to a point where I could produce a desired sound on command. Reading the manual is a must, as this is quite a different experience for guitar players. But the results are worth it, and you will be able to produce unique sounds that set you apart from a typical guitar player. The downside is that the unit is cased in plastic and will most likely not survive a bad drop. So treat it gingerly.gentlebanana
First thing is that my disappointment might be because e-bows won't work with active pickups due to their low magnetic field. However, before purchase, I did e-mail EMG to ask if it should work with their pickups (all my guitars have EMGs) and they said yes. However, despite this, on the normal setting, the e-bow did not produce any sound at all; on the harmonic setting, it took 5-6 seconds to build any sound at all. I just received the Ebow Plus, which has three modes, (Standard, Off and Harmony). It's fairly easy to use, but definitely requires a bit of practice before using during a live performance . Made of plastic (go figure) so you'd definitely want to avoid dropping it I'd say. Otherwise, it's pretty light and easy to grip in my opinion. I've read reviews that say it doesn't work well on single coil pickups, but I can certainly tell you that's not true! I have a stratocaster with all single coils and it works just fine. It's all about how well you position the Ebow correctly near the pickup selected. I don't see this as a gadget being used alot , but it's definitely a cool addition to your rig setup for a different effects like violin, Cello or woodwind. It holds sustain like there's no tomorrow, but keep in mind, you can only play the single string that you have this resting over, so if that's what you're lookin for, check out some youtube vids on it and get you one if so desire. I got it with a 20% discount coupon so i didn't have to pay the full price which is a bit overpriced to begin with imo. Enjoy it. God blessRoro

I will not buy one of these bundles. The price is not that attractive, from what I see the quality is budget. You can compare with the Amazon accessories. I will pass on this offer. Let the beginner have a go at this. I would upgrade everything: the strap 6.99, tuner 6.99, capo 4.99, pick holder 1.99 and definitely the cloth 0.99. I ordered the Mason Live for a friend of mine WHo is just learning to play, I had been watching the Youtube videos on Orangewood, and looking at the site for a while. Just so you know, I was a professional Bass player/ song writer in LA for a While, before falling on bad times, and most of my gear stolen. I had A very nice Guild acoustic before, (Pre Fender) and an assortment of Basses and Guitars, I also built, and repaired them. So I can speak from experience. I am restarting My life and will be getting this same guitar for myself, when I can. But let me tell you that when It Came And I played it for the first time, I was Shocked at how amazing it played and sounded, this Guitar would have cost $1000.00 or more anywhere else. I used to work at guitar center and know. Right out of the Box this Guitar played fantastic, no set up or anything. You can't say that about Guitar Center. I upgraded my pickups in MIM strat and wanted to go black from the existing white. I lost a humbucker for a single coil in the process and needed a new pickguard. My strat was the midnight wine color (dark) and the black looks absolutely awesome on it compared to the white. Everything fit perfect. No mis aligned screws etc as often occurs when changing out parts on some MIM strats. The strat is year model 2006. The only complaint and it is notable band the reason the rating is a bit lower: I understand black loves scratches but come on, the instant I wiped the pick guard with a very soft cloth, massive scratches. It is brand new and very scratched. Even micro fiber cloth marks it. I know it will get scratched but I wanted the shine at least until playing it caused scratches. I would prefer to pay a little more and Fender make the plastic more scratch resistant. That can be done very easily in the polymers/chemistry chosen. Other than the scratching gripe, typical good quality OEM Fender, looks sharp, fits good. Change your color and personalize your strat easily. I am glad I did.
I love the aged look of the pickup covers and knobs. I have ordered many over the years. The tremolo cover does not match at all and usually has a mint green color. That part of the kit is a waste. I have piles of them which I cannot use. The best look for your Strat is a W/B/W pickguard with matching tremolo cover and these pickup covers and knobs. I will continue to buy the kit. I have tried several others and they are always lacking.lawellness

When using a capo it is necessary that it provide enough tension to keep the strings, especially the bass strings, from buzzing. Any more tension than the minimum necessary to accomplish that does tend to de-tune the guitar by raising its pitch. The Shubb design is the only capo that I have ever used or seen that can be precision adjusted to apply just enough tension to effect the key change without unnecessary de-tuning. All other designs use springs to apply the tension so must be designed to always apply enough tension where the neck is thinnest so must apply more than the minimum necessary. Adjustable tension is very important for a nylon-string capo unless you want to spend all your time retuning the guitar. I already own the older version with the pin and it's been my capo of choice. This newer version with the wheel is even better, easier to adjust, and for some reason cheaper. It's almost unbreakable (like any capo made of metal) so it's worth the extra money as long as you don't lose it.

I've recorded my bands music since the '70's with reel to reel,8 track,cassette and 16 track equipment and overdubbing and syncing was a total nightmare. I bought this product to install on a squier standard strat. I just have to say Wow! Between this and the pickups I installed which were dimarzio Areas (58, 58, 61), my guitar sounds like a completely different instrument and it is awesome! This thing was so easy to install. I am not great at soldering so I put everything on the pick guard and had a professional solder my pickups. Once I got it home I soldered the output jack and stuck everything back together. Could not have been simpler. And what a huge improvement to my "cheap strat." In my opinion my guitar feels, plays, and sounds like an instrument 3 times the price.Cobb

I have just found Eddie Van Halens secret behind his tone! This cord just delivers so much tone and gives that Brown sound in spades, even through my Line 6 spider III. When I plug in this cord it feels like 1978 and I just have to play Eruption right away. When I showed my friends they were just FLOORED by the tone it delivers. This cable is good enough for the money. I compared it to the Dimarzio Chrome cable and the EVH is ultra skinny. You might be surprised when you open it to see how skinny and flimsy this cable is. The ends tend to loosen up on their own, but that is also true of dimarzio. Soundwise, I would say the Dimarzio sounds better and is more durable (and cheaper). Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad cable, it puts your sound through to the amp nice and clear, if I was gigging, however I would be concerned about the durability.Franknfilms

Tuners are solid and work — not locking type, but stays in tune. Installation takes either a neck with the two little guide-holes all ready to go, or else some skill with a small drill bit. Put it into place and tighten down enough to leave two faint dents on the headstock, then remove and drill. Tape a stop guide so you don't drill too far through the neck, just deep enough for the wee pegs.zippinski
The only downside to these tuners is that they require two holes to be drilled in the back of the headstock alongside the 10mm hole to locate two pins extending from each tuner that prevent it twisting around under string tension. If your headstock is pre-drilled, no problem, but if it isn't you will have to do this yourself. I used a Dremel with a dentists' drill and a steady hand. Other than this they look great, very tidy and most importantly work well. They hold tune perfectly. Recommended.johthoma270
These are the tuners that came stock on my E4 Fender American Standard. They have a smooth feel, and stay in tune well. The tuners have worked reliably since I bought the guitar in 1985. I also have several other guitars with these tuners, and they all function perfectly. I think that the tuners improve the sound by making sure that the strings stay in tune. Also, these tuners make good contact with the neck, and don't vibrate like some marginally acceptable Chinese tuners, found on some Squiers (and other budget guitars), thereby better transferring vibration to and from the neck and strings.
