Mine came with a warped neck, body is super soft and easily dings, and finish as you would expect is consistent with most low cost cost Asian basses. Electronics also. Required a lengthy setup but still could not optimize with bad neck. There are better options in a beginner bass. The Rondo SX and the lower end Ibanez lefty basses are just two examples.kraigster414

Reviews:
At the price, it's impossible to beat. The tuners and the bridge are better than I expected. Electronics work nicely, usable strings for a burn-in period. It needed less than 10 minutes to tune, adjust and intonate. The neck is unfinished, I'm going to seal it with tung oil and lightly scuff it with some steel wool. I'm already assuming the frets will have some high/low spots. Surprisingly, the fret ends are dressed nicely. I see people have complained about cutting their fretting hand on sharp fret edges. Not the case here but necks do shrink a tiny amount depending on climate and that shouldn't really be a valid complaint. It's easy to fix fret ends and at this price I would expect to do it. No pick guard so the patched area near the pickups can be seen if you look close enough. As I'll be putting in a pick guard eventually, it's no big deal. I did buy it as slightly scratched so that's it for the "issues". In short, I'm happy. It's also a fair bit lighter at the body than I expected. I don't see that as a bad thing.kfries-half
For a guitar player getting into the world of the bass guitar this was almost too good to pass up. After a simple bridge adjustment and raising the pickups a tad this is a really functional bass to learn on. Sounds good, no fret buzz (outside of my poor playing). Pots work OK – really impressed for around $50!! It is lighter than higher quality bass guitars, but so far so good! Thanks!!velofan

I am pretty happy with the end results, I'll start with the cons because it's a short list: there were a few chips in the paint on the bass when it arrived (somewhere around 2-4). This is likely a shipping issue more than Glarry itself, however they are so small and obscure you would have to know they are there and look straight for them in order to see them. Now onto the pros: Price, price price. Glarry has put profit behind them and prioritized putting instruments into the hands of as many people that are passionate to get one as possible. This bass plays like any other bass and at a 1/3 of the cost of most mainline basses. Not to mention it looks way cooler and comes with a bag and a pick and some tools, wires and a strap. It's just overwhelming bang for buck and I respect prioritizing making it cheap and easy for everyone who wants an instrument to get one over profit. Can't stress it enough. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for one of the instruments available on this site.
I bought to learn Bass Guitar, I'm learning at an awesome rate on this Bass. My instructor said it's weight is perfect, not too heavy. He's a Speed Metal player. That's what I'm learning. I'm influenced by Grindcore and Death Metal. The design of this Bass Guitar fits with dark and creepy vibe. Keep up the great work, Glarry!
This is the first bass I've purchased. I got the burning fire sunburst bass/amp combo for 187$ Shipped! I Assumed and was willing to do a little work to the guitar because that's a great deal. have played guitar for years. Decided I wanted a bass but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. I was looking at used basses. A glary review popped up on my Google news feed. So I read up about them. I expected the shipping to take forever and to have to do some work to the bass. I placed my order on a Wednesday night at 8 pm Pacific time and recieved my bass the following Saturday at 1:30 pm. Pretty dang fast for free shipping!!! When I recieved the bass it was in perfect condition. Very nice finish, no sharp fret edges, Al electronics in working order. The only adjustments I made we're the low E and A saddles. I raised them a little to get rid of some string buzz and tuned it. I am extremely impressed by what I recieved vs what I paid. If you're like me and looking for your first bass and want a quality instrument but don't want to break the bank. Then this deal is for you.

It is not my first time buying from Glarry but I was in the market for a fretless bass. I received it in less than a week from my purchase date and I was impressed by how good the bass felt to play. I got the sunset color option finish is quite nice as there weren't any blemishes in the paint. I had to adjust the truss rod to get it playable as the action came a little too low for the first position to be audible. The bass comes with the tool for that adjustment and Glarry was happy enough to stand by if I had any further issue with it. As far as the electronics and the sound, I have no complaint. This fretless bass is a great deal that can't be overlooked! No doubt I'll be back to buy more products from Glarry!
Over the years I had considered obtaining a Fretless Bass. I enjoy the sound qualities they produce in Music. The few used ones that I came across still didn't seem reasonable to me to take a chance on something that wasn't a certainty when not being able to really give it a try. And then… I found the Glarry Fretless P-style Bass and ordered it. I love the sounds it produces and the overall quality is wonderful. The only down side is the exceptionally light weight of the body wood (I believe it might be Paulownia … not Basswood as listed in the Specs) making it a bit neck heavy. Even with that I can easily compensate for it while playing by resting my forearm more on the lower bout. I've recorded a couple of tunes with it and would recommend it to anyone thinking about giving the Fretless Bass a try. Here is my YouTube Unboxing Video…
As others have stated, it's hard to fault this instrument at the price point. Build quality appears to be exceptional, fit and finish are also fantastic. In its stock state it is extremely playable and very musical, and despite having inexpensive ceramic pickups it's punchy, articulate, and resonant, with a reasonable amount of sustain. Don't think you have to be in any hurry to do mods. One point worth mentioning. Both the body and Pick guard do not follow standard fender lines. The horns are shaped slightly different, but more importantly a standard fender pick guard will not fit as the control cavity route is much wider. You'll have to do a custom cut pick guard for this one if you're not happy with the factory white it ships with. It's definitely a gig worthy instrument for anyone that's a seasoned player as well as novice and it's difficult to imagine a person being disappointed for so little money spent.

Reviews:
An almost perfect starting bass guitar. Built well and sounds great. Im the type of person thats really into replacing parts and customizing my instermant (ive played alot of different ones over the years) wich is not something that i would recomend doing with a instermant that alone costs a couple hundred dollars. I only have 2 complaints which are that i recently had to get the nut (the small plastic piece that seperates the 4 strings at the top of the neck) replaced but thats only natural. And the dvd that comes with it although it says hours of lessons on it it really only has a few for bass most of it is for electric and acustic guitar Some of the other complaints ive seen seem to be more of an issue with damage from shipping more than the construction.
Just received this bass guitar using the Site-To-Store feature. Got here in 3 days using regular site to store (way sooner than the 7-10 days). Silvertone Revolver Bass pretty good for first time user like myself. Despite that, the cable seems to be somewhat cheap. (I may not have experience but I'm not completely ignorant either.) Overall this is in my opinion a good buy. Good for someone who is just starting to learn how to play a bass guitar like me. It being a whole package is definitely worth it so you don't buy a $300 bass and another $200 amp.AngelBassPlayer
I thought that in order to get a good-quality bass I'd have to spend a lot of money, but for this low a price and all the accessories and equipment that come with it it's pretty decent. The DVD that came with it is a huge help, and you can sign up on their website for free help. (Note: The DVD only plays in a regular DVD player, not a computer for some reason.) The only thing I think is junk is the tuner that comes with it. That thing was ridiculously off the mark (reading the wrong strings) and useless. Spend more money on a separate tuner or use one of the ones available online. Also, if you're a smaller person like I am, the bass may seem a little heavy to handle. I do think it's a good starter bass to work with until I feel comfortable enough playing it to get an upgrade.BassNewbie

Reviews:
I purchased my left-handed Glarry Jazz bass back in July of 2020 as a way of keeping occupied during the lockdown, after nearly 2 years I'm still as blown away as the day it first arrived. This bass is a *beast*! It sounds incredible, very little adjustments were needed right out of the box, I lowered the action on one string a little & that's it. The thing that really impresses me in an ongoing way is this bass *insists* on remaining completely in tune almost indefinitely, I have a digital, highly-accurate tuner & this instrument rarely strays from being in tune even after lengthy practice. I find myself wondering how Glarry can possibly make money here. I've also, based on my experience with the bass, purchased a left handed strat copy in a matching finish, & also a Glarry kid's drumset, and am completely happy with my purchases. Thank you Glarry, you guys rock!
After hearing a lot of positives about Glarry basses I decided to take the plunge and order one. Unfortunately, I cannot report that I find it to be an amazing value as some have reported. The main problem is the neck. Out of the box the action was set quite high and the usual setup adjustments reveal that the frets are in serious need of a level and dressing. Besides the unpleasant fret fart outs, I notice a fair amount of odd resonances that seems to be originating from the neck on various notes. I can't tell if a good fret leveling would eliminate them or if it is something related to the truss rod internally. The truss rod does work, but turns WAY more easily than any other bass I've ever owned. (Probably 2 dozen over 40 plus years.) The body is good, finish is nice, and the electronics and hardware are serviceable. For the hundred-ish I spent, I'll keep it as a mod bass and replace the neck. Be forewarned: the original neck is a VERY chunky P-Bass width and nowhere near the normal streamlined Jazz Bass neck found on most Jazz basses and Jazz bass copies. Not sure this would be a good starter bass without taking it in for a good setup and fret leveling. In my neck of the woods that would cost about $150.00. Perhaps a better alternative would be to see what you can get in the $200- $300 range that comes ready to play out of the box. As always, YMMV.
I liked the affordable price and the look of the blue sunburst jazz bass. My plan was to completely modify it which I did. I sanded and stained the neck a darker color, applied several coats of polyurethane and a final coat of paste wax. The electronics were upgraded to alpha pots, braided wires and alnico5 pickups, a new wilkinson brass saddle bridge, black machine tuners, bone nut, black jazz bass volume/tone knobs, flat wound strings and a tortoise shell pickguard. While this instrument is completely fine for a beginner, I am more of a seasoned player and was up to the challenge of a fun project. Could I suggest maybe selling only bare body and neck without parts at a lower price which people could build their own instrument to their personal taste? Also, the internet is a wonderful place for information if someone knows where to look, but a beginner might not understand how or even if they need to adjust their truss rod or bridge saddles. Perhaps an included instruction booklet might also be useful as these instruments are catering towards beginners. I also modified a Glarry white P bass in a similar way but less extensive as the jazz. I had a lot of fun with these projects.

Reviews:

Reviews:
5 string bass in burley wood. Fit and finish first class. Unbelievably light. Fantastic value for money. Mine played very badly out of the box, with the neck seemingly overdone on the truss rod. Relaxed that a turn, set intonation and saddles and it's pretty good now imo. Think it would benefit from having some frets filed a bit. But all in all it's excellent for the money. I could spend 3-4 times as much for the next up cheap 5 string, but I doubt it would play better and I bet it would be significantly heavier.
My second Glarry bass. the first purchase was a 4 string fretless – flawless instrument. Obviously I was happy with it – I bought another instrument. This 5 string arrived today. I spent a brief time setting up the action, as you would need to do with any new instrument. It was not at all necessary to have a shop do it, as they send the tools you need included with the instrument and it is great for a player to be able to do this themselves- it will make you a more knowledgable player and take additional pride in ownership. But the real reason for leaving this review is to convey just how great the quality is. My wife's initial reaction: "that is beautiful – a work of art!", and she is so correct. Having owned many basses and played for 35+ years, this is as good as any bass I have had. You will see many other reviews state the same thing. The action, the finish, the sound – there is nothing to complain about, even if you took the affordable price out of consideration. Buy one of these now before they figure out they could charge 2-3x as much and I would still recommend buying even at those prices. I am installing a thumb rest on it and using this the next weekend for a songwriter showcase. Can't wait to see what compliments I get on it. Glarry, you guys do a great job and my hat is off to you.
There's nothing really spectacular about this bass, except for possibly the bang for your buck. What you get is a fairly well made solid instrument that does the job without any unnecessary frills! Mine arrived well packaged and in good condition. There are a couple of minor finish blends, but they aren't noticeable if you're more than a foot away. The set up was nearly spot-on, only a few minor adjustments were required. The neck and fretwork were well done. Frets are smooth with no sharp ends. The fretboard is dry, but that is somewhat expected, and not a big deal. I did send the back of the neck with 1000 grit paper so it is now silky smooth and plays great. The pickups sound very good, though the volume puts taper rather abruptly. Overall, this is a good sounding, very playable bass! I am a happy Glarry customer once again!

I bought this pack as my first bass and amp, the bass itself feels ok but the strings and pickups are flat, the neck is not glossed or smooth and the neck being very wide for the majority of the neck; therefore, making it very hard to play. Pros: will get you through your first couple months of bass playing👍🏻Wild Jakob
