Reviews:
Firstly I want to say that I watch Richard on youtube and appreciate his passion for guitars and the unique service he provides for customers. I really hope he continues to do well. However, I have to say I was slightly disappointed in terms of communication after sale. It’s great that Richards updates customers are their guitar goes through the workshop process, but I didn’t receive anything for over 2 weeks since ordering on 2nd December. When I rang the shop, all I had to do was let Richards know that I wanted the guitar before Xmas and it was fast tracked to the workshop and did eventually arrive on 23rd December. Quite disappointing that if I didn’t ring, I wouldn’t have received before Xmas because I was told guitars could take up to 2 weeks to come. I appreciate this period has been very busy but some transparency around delivery expectations wouldn’t have gone a miss. Review on the Eastman: Really beautiful guitar. I’m fairly new to playing and have been learning on a Martin junior. The Eastman is superior in every way. I don’t believe you can get an all solid wood guitar of this quality anywhere else for the price. It has fantastic tonal range and great balance. I’m a huge fan of the classic stain. It has a VERY high action. I actually had to get this lowered by my local guitar shop. I can’t blame Richards as I didn’t specifically request a low action, but definitely something to bare in mind.Tom W.
I’m no expert so I relied on the assistants advice and the guitar is exactly as recommended.perfectSteven W.

Reviews:
Eastman Guitars is quickly gaining a lot of respect for their quality even in comparison to the big names, and they deserve every bit. After 40+ years of playing and owning many fine instruments, IMHO no one offers more quality, craftsmanship, or great tone at any price. No they don't sound exactly like Martin or Taylor guitars. Many knowledgeable people say they sound more like Collings guitars. In my book, that's a step up! The Eastman E1D is another fine example that you don't have to skip a house payment to get a well-crafted, great-sounding, and fine-quality guitar! I do have three suggestions: 1) I suggest Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze (12-54) strings for this model. 2) I suggest investing in a good HSC. 3) I suggest getting a K&K Pure Mini Acoustic Guitar Pickup w/volume.campacj01
I have been on a quest to replace my Dreadnought and comparing quite a few high end guitars in the last few weeks (Eastman, Collings, Guild, Martin…) and have been blown away by Eastman guitars, no least by the e1d. Eastman produce high quality handmade guitars in China that compete with the names mentioned above from around 1,000 and up (e8d, e10d, e20d…), which I was originally going to do. Then I compared the e20d to this one and, yes there are obvious differences in dynamics, volume and tone but for 500 you get a lot of guitar. The tone is rich and balanced with lovely bass and complex mids and trebles. The guitar is loud and dynamic, lovely for strumming and fingerpicking. The note separation is also very good and attention to detail is fantastic. You dont get any bling but solid wood all around which makes the guitar so resonant and alive. The neck is lovely with nice edge purfling, ebony fretboard, bone nut and saddle and very neat fretwork. Definitely one to try!frog_n_roll

I m selling an eastman ac330 12-string "special". the guitar is in an overall excellent condition with only little dings and dongs which you can t illustrate on thre pictures. the guitar has of course minimal fretware and wear marks. the guitar is setup by a professional luthier and has a fishman prefix plus-t preamp on board – also mounted by a professional luthier. this results in a much higher variety of tonal possiblities connected to an amp/foh. the eastman comes of course with the original case and professionally packed.

5. Eko Ranger Xii Vintage Reissue 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar Honey Burst
Product Details:
In 1962, eko decided to produce a series of folk guitars, upon popular demand by italian and foreign markets. after a thorough market research, the dreadnought shape was chosen, very much in fashion in the u.s. at the time. initially the 6-string j54 was produced. it was an immediate success due to style, playability and price. it wasn't long until there was a demand for a 12-string version, especially in us and uk, which led to the j56, as it was named until ‘67. after just a short time, the j56 became the best-selling 12-string guitar on the market. in 1967, both the 6-string and 12-string went through a restyle and the new versions were showcased under the names of ranger vi and ranger xii. eko is continuing the tradition of the ranger with a vintage reissue version as 6 and 12-string. the ranger is the guitar that very well represents the history of eko. a guitar that has been very important in the past, continues to be very important today and will surely become more important in the future of eko. it now brings new life the most beautiful and interesting features used in the past, all combined together in this stylish instrument. case sold separately.

Reviews:
Just got this guy….interesting guitar. some of the stock description is incorrect, the nut is steel or stainless steel and sits in a weird half fret area above the first fret (I have an old meazzi guitar with the same arrangement. the saddle is plastic and sits in a metal u shaped holder that you can adjust the height with the supplied alan key, handy, don't have to remove the saddle to lower the action. overall the thing is heavy and well built. had some work getting it playable though, it tuned up easy enough but there was that weird twang on the B string, usually tweeking the truss rod cures that, but it didn't, raising and lowering the saddle didn't fix it, changing the straight plastic saddle to a compensated plastic saddle didn't help either…..maybe one of the upper frets? got a little frustrating, then I decided to just change the strings, usually the first thing to do with a 300.00 guitar and that was that, no twang, weird, but this is an Italian guitar company (not to be racist, I'm Italian) so anyway, the fishman electronics are adequate, not a big fan of sound hole mounted controls but fortunately the 9 volt battery is located at the bottom of the lower bout next to the 1/4" jack as apposed to some guitars with a velcroed holder buried inside the guitar. this guitar is a strummer for sure and after I beat it up at home for awhile I'll do a gig with it.Nick
I took a chance and purchased it sight unseen because it was on sale and the most interesting (to me) in its price range. Color isn't as solidly orange-looking as in the photo. The grain is still visible. Logo on the headstock is a three-d decal, not inlay. Guitar is pretty heavy, too. The bridge is easy to adjust, which was useful, considering there was some fret buzz in the set up. After some tweaking and new strings, it's turned out to be a nice guitar.Manuel
I love the eko ranger guitars And as I hand a 12 string version I was delighted when I found this beauty which can also play through an amp and speaker. The tone is rich and warm. I love it. The price is very good for this quality instrument. Also10 out of 10 For these livery which was well ahead of the estimated delivery date. Fantastic service.jim culbert (

Reviews:
Sound: What more do you want at this price point with free shipping. Well built, sounds good.Fishman MX electronics, already installed heel joint strap button, Tusq saddle and nut and bridge pins. Overall: Nice guitar. I can easily tell the difference between this model which I just bought, here, from a USA made one: then again one could buy a few of these ones for the starting price of a new USA made Martin 12 string.Very nice gig bag. Well constructed. Fishman MX electronics with the batter door where it should be at the output jack plate.Plek'd at the Martin factory, but I am going to have my tech adjust the action, not bad just a little higher than I like.
First off ! I highly recommend this 12 string to everyone! i have now owned this guitar for almost a year now. Before I bought this Martin dx2e I shopped around and went to a bunch of different guitar stores to compare different brands and see the difference. I was after a really good full sound with no string noise , I definitely did not want a lament top and real wood sound that would appreciate more and more in time. I compared a taylor, and it was great but the price was a little crazy, for what was afforded I didn’t care what brand of guitar i was going to choose, all that mattered to me was the tone and feel , I tried a guild 12 string and again it was really nice as well but I found it had a lot of mid high tones . Again I was looking for a certain sound that would cater to my own sound, style and feel . After shopping around I chooses this Martin DX2e for its great natural sound and the feel , the price was definitely unbeatable and I still can’t believe how good this guitar sounds! Amazing guitar! The next big factor was now where to buy it , Sam ash? Guitar center ? I found American musical “AMS” was amazing to purchase this Martin from, it showed up in just 2/3 days protected and the customer service was unbelievable! I love this guitar and love AMS and again I highly recommend this guitar you will not be disappointed! Thank you AMS for making my decision easy and effortless !
I recently purchased my Martin DX2E 12 string from AMS and I love it. I purchased my Martin GCE16 about a year ago from AMS and I have never heard of them before this. I tried to order the same guitar from Guitar Center and it come in damaged, so I returned it. I then tried to order the same guitar from Musicians friend. The online site said it was in stock. I even paid for 2 day delivery, but it never showed up. After 2 weeks I called and they told me the guitar was out of stock. They also told me they should of called or emailed but they don't know why they didn't.(TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MUSICIANS FRIEND).This is when I found AMS. I called AMS and they were VERY helpful and easy to deal with. I ordered my VERY FIRST MARTIN GUITAR from AMS and have been very pleased. I have since ordered my second Martin guitar from AMS and will only use AMS for my online purchases from here on out. Thank You for all of the great service and merchandise.Bobby

8. Eastman Ac222ce – Natural
Product Details:
This eastman ac222ce is less than a year old, has been barely played and is in like new condition. it's a very resonant guitar with lots of sustain and great bass. sitka spruce top on top of ovangkol back and sides gives it a rich rosewood tonal quality. the figuring in the ovangkol is really pretty. i'm only selling because i'm letting go of my guitars that are bigger than 000 size. a unique feature i added is a zer0 glide zero fret nut which makes the guitar incredibly easy to play with much more stable tuning, even when bending strings. the guitar normally comes with a gig bag but i'm including a $135.00 cahaya hard shell case.

Following the failure of a local shop to sort me out, Richard picked up the slack and did a brilliant job. I was wary about buying online form a distance, but was regularly reassured with good communication about my order updates. Incredible happy with this guitar, it was set up perfectly to really sparkle, looks gorgeous with it's ovangkol wood and I even love the smell! Thanks RichardEd S.

Product Details:
Eastman t59/v semi-hollow guitar. this is an amazing guitar and i hate to part with it. the finish is difficult to capture in pictures but it's a beautiful guitar. i replaced the original tuners, which were terrible, with hipshot and even added the green tulip tuner buttons. there's some actual wear and dings to complement the original relic finish. this particular model has seth lover pickups, not sd antiquities. they sound great and i ended up putting a pair in a les paul so i could get a similar sound. original case and case candy included.

Reviews:
These guitars have incredible tone and playability. The Seymour Duncan antiquities is in combination with a very well balanced guitar acoustically, mean that you can really use all of the tone and volume controls on the guitar. I’ve compared it to a standard gibson and I much prefer these!Andrew V.
Excellent guitar , finding it very difficult to put down !John D.
These muslins are incredibly soft and I love the prints offered.Jennifer H.

Reviews:
I have had my Eastman AC422CE for 3 weeks now. It is a beautiful looking and sounding instrument which looks even more stunning in real life than in the pictures. It also has the pickguard as can be seen in the more recent video Richard has put up on YouTube contrasting the AC322CE and AC422CE. I live in Ireland and had no way to try out the guitar before I bought it. I was really nervous about buying it “blind”, I had added it to the basket and then chickened out many times. Eventually I contacted Richard on the live chat and his answers to my questions were completely reassuring, so I finally went for it, and am totally delighted with the guitar. Great advice, great set up to the guitar and delivery in a week. Thank you to Richard and his team.Michael K.
I am delighted with my new guitar! I had some concerns about ordering online a guitar that I had not tried. However, Richard's detailed description gave me confidence and proved to be accurate and very helpful in making a good choice. The guitar really suits my mainly finger picking style and produces a lovely bright and full tone. It sounds great plugged in too and has been perfectly set up. Many thanks.Michael L.
I love every single bit of this guitar – I have played Alhambras, Washburns, Ibanezs, Taylors, Corts… A good bunch of guitars in similar prices. Nothing coming closer to the playability and tone of this Eastman guitar. I had my reservations on it being made in China, but I should highlight that it is a HANDMADE guitar for just over a thousand pounds, and it is exquisite in detail and features. The tone is simply there, very taylorish, warm yet defined. Considering I don't have a big frame or big hands and the fact that I'm used to electrics instead, I wanted a guitar where playability is a priority – The work done by Richard's is amazing! I have NEVER played an acoustic so easily, despite the 12-53 gauge and etc. It plays as similar to an electric as an acoustic can. Richard's service was invaluable when it came to choosing the guitar – he even did a video for me in his Youtube channel to help me decide and choose the best option (I was doubting between this and a Faith slightly cheaper). Service like this is priceless.Ander M.

Received my wonderful Eastman Romeo guitar, beautifully packed and in perfect condition. Richards Guitars rang me a couple of times to ensure they knew exactly how to set it up for me, and then again to tell me they thought they could get the action lower still. Needless to say, the action is perfect, and the sound and versatility of this guitar is astonishingly good, even through my silly little practice amp which is all I have to hand at the moment. The finish of the guitar simply could not be bettered. Every joint and curve is perfectly made, with the binding perfectly edging the guitar, with no gaps or edges between the body and the binding. The paintwork – goldburst – is beautiful. The Richards Guitars service was top notch. This is the first instrument I have purchased over the internet, but I needn’t have worried. Thank you to all at Richards Guitars. This won’t be my last purchase through you!Simon M.
Looks good feels good, set up to perfection.David W.

This handsome handmade guitar is already a favourite. It is very robust and loud but it has a very sweet yet rounded tone. It is a workhorse which is very happy thrashing out chords and equally comfortable and precise when there is some delicate picking to be done. And absolute steal at the price. Oh, and it is also beautiful.John B.
Took delivery of my new Eastman AC122 1CE a couple of days ago. Missed the Black Friday deals. To be fair I asked at order whether they could better the price. No was the answer – a few days later £60 off. Ho-hum. Asked again – still no movement on the price, however, I was offered a leather strap which is nice. That aside, this is a beautiful guitar, quite a step up from my old Takemine. Very well set up, sounds great. Dare I say it, a little easier to play than the Takemine. My first 'solid wood' guitar, one that will help me improve, no doubt. Overall, buying from Richards guitars has been a nice experience. In addition, for a struggler like me, Richards Youtube lessons are fantastic. I now already understand a hell of a lot more than I ever have for the past 10 years! So many thanks. Highly recommended.Michael W.
Just took delivery of this wonderful guitar from Richards Guitars and am delighted with it. Fantastic instrument for the price and it sounds wonderful. I originally ordered a slightly cheaper guitar but had second thoughts and am so glad I did. The staff at Richards Guitars were great and changed my order without any issues at all. The lovely Sophie told me I was making the right choice and she was not wrong. Guitar arrived well boxed in a nice gig bag, in tune and set up really well with the strings I had requested. I can’t quite convey in words just how lovely this guitar sings when you strum a chord. It makes even a three chord fumbler like me sound good! It is a semi retirement present to myself and I look forward to devoting some time to practicing on this lovely instrument. I am sure there will be many far better players than me reading this review (it would not hard to be honest) and some with much bigger budgets but if circa £600 is your price point I would recommend this guitar without hesitation. Beautifully made and put together. The fretboard is a delight. Lovely when played acoustically or via an amp. Very impressed with the service from Richard Guitars and when I next summon the courage to risk my marriage by ordering another guitar will use them again. Thank you.Andy M.

This is stunning guitar for the money. Fell in love with it immediately, i have had it a while now and that has not changed. The voice, action, finish and sound is fantastic. For a small guitar it has plenty volume if you want it. Whatever your style, digging in or gentle, it delivers. Thank you Richard and staff for a great service, very very pleased, cheers.Lester H.
First, I would like to say buying from CME online was great. Unfortunately the Eastman E1OM was only so-so. The guitar arrived without the original Eastman box and there were pick marks on the pickguard protective film, so this could have been an open box or demo since they only had 1 in stock. Craftsmanship was about a 7/10. Finish on wood was great. Binding on body had rough spots on the front side, other bindings on neck and back were great. Ebony fretboard was sealed. I prefer unsealed unless its maple, but that's subjective. Tuners seemed very cheap and some of the mounting screws were stripped. I noticed a crack/hole (1/4") on the side which was repaired during the building process. This repair was very noticeable on the inside of the guitar, but not so much on the outside. Fretwork was great. Action seemed great right out of the box. Nut could have been finished better. Saddle was great. Gigbag is awesome. Personally I think upgrading to an all solid wood guitar should still feel like an upgrade (even at only $500) and this guitar didn't, so I will be sending it back.Stephanie P.
As a guitar enthusiast rather than a gigging player I wanted an acoustic guitar to use at home. I was given good advice, from the live chat before buying, and as a result made the purchase of the Eastman E1 OM. I was kept informed of my order progress in the lead up to dispatch. The guitar arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I have really appreciated this addition to my guitars. I love the tone, and the size is just right for me – I play it nearly every day for practice and my lessons. It is my "go-to" guitar and I'm so pleased with my purchase. It's great value for money too. Thanks to all at Richards Guitars.Steve C.

I lost interest in learning the guitar then I saw Richards review of the Eastman e2d cd and decided to purchase one I am over the moon with the guitar it’s everything he said it was and the sound and playability is excellent it has rejuvenated my desire to learn the guitar again. service at Richards guitar was excellent from start to finish I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a guitar plus the set is brilliantGary E.
The Eastman E2D CD is my first Eastman guitar but it certainly won’t be my last! The guitar arrived beautifully set up and packaged by Richard and his team and was even in tune straight out of the box. This guitar sounds amazing. It has a rich tone and the notes seem to sustain forever. It plays wonderfully and is a joy to just pick up and noodle on or spend some serious time learning new songs and recording material. 10/10zAdam
As a beginner had done some online research, then came across Richards Guitars. Was great to get advice via message & phone. Very happy with my solid wood E2D for the same price I was originally looking at hard top only acoustics. Now had it a few weeks I appreciate the quality which makes you want to play it more.Neil W.

Fantastic guitar, really well set up by Richard and his team. Many thanks
Thanks to Rikki and the team for helping me select this AR503CE, I’m delighted with it. I look forward to receiving the Eastman certificate (which was missing). If I was to offer any constructive criticism I’d say the website could make current stock levels clearer. I was lucky though and received the beautifully photographed guitar on the webpage.Craig T.

Richards guitars is awesome. This was my third purchase from them over the years, and hopefully there will be many more I'm reluctant to buy from anywhere else. The guitar, Eastman pch1 om is fantastic value at £329 I've hardly put it down in the last three weeks. The service Richard and his team provide is second to none. Can't recommend highly enough.Andy P.
Hello Richard, This is not a complaint,it is more of an observation regarding my recent transaction with you. Having seen "You Tube" promoting your goods I decided to purchase from you. I decided on a Cort Luce acoustic, After waiting a while it was delivered, the guitar looked amazing, however after a couple of days I noticed a very annoying flat spot on the fifth fret of the G string, I contacted the shop and one of your staff suggested I get an allen key and give it a few turns anti clock wise, not aving an allen key it was decided to return the guitar. A couple of days later the guitar was returned with a short email saying there was no problem. Yet, it was evident that the flat spot was still there. To the rescue came Sophie, she suggested another guitar, the Eastman PCH 01.I also ordered a hard case to be sent with it, the Eastman arrived minus hard case, called the shop again, confusion seemed to seize your staff as to what happened to the case, surely it would have made sense to put them both together. Again Sophie was there to make some sense of what was happening, after acouple of weeks I decided to buy the hard case locally, I have to say that in spite of of all the confusion Sophie was the one who kept me informed, her cheerful disposition throughout ,and her hard work in dealing with difficult situations that were not in her department, are a credit to your store. would I use Richards Guitars again? –Yes, I hope my next purchase to be another but quite expensive Eastman . I realize that even the best run companies can get the odd thing wrong,I may be the one in a thousand cutomer who expierienced this. If you do read this Richard you may not realise what Sophie does above and beyond her job,if you do then I hope you tell her so.She is the front window to your company. Best Regards, Cliff Singleton.Cliff S.
This a very good guitar. It has a good tone, bright but also with guts. Not guts like a dread of course but it has enough for me. The quality of finish is superb and the dynamic response is great. It plays and sounds like a guitar worth 3 times the money. Richard had the guitar set up for my specifications. Low action, no fret buzz. By the way, In the past, I have owned £1000 guitars. No… I'm not saying I'm an expert but I am saying that after owning more expensive guitars, this one rivals if not beats.hankboy71

Reviews:
The first guitar delivered had a fairly serious finish issue, however the replacement, rapidly and efficiently arranged by Project Music, was 100% better. I believe that Eastman have to improve their QC a lot before I would risk buying unseen again. There was a very clear difference in finish and in the quality of the rosewood used in these two guitars. The finish defect in the first guitar looked as though the buffing mop had cut through the top layer of lacquer, and the rosewood had some large black knots. The finish in the replacement guitar was near perfect, and the rosewood was knot free with very clean grain lines. The setup, playability and sound was very good on both guitars. I would advise anyone thinking about an Eastman guitar to actually go to the store to inspect it and play it before buying. I would heartily recommend Project Music.Reviewed by Project Music custom
i have been playing Guitar now for 35+ years. from High school cover bands to club circuit, to recording for some folks. at the moment i have probably 18 guitars of all types, and i have to say i was BLOWN AWAY by this guitar… i was in the market for a new Gibson J-45 and went out to play a bunch of them. WELL, the sales guy asked me to put on a blindfold, as a good sport i did so. i was then handed a guitar, felt it was a slope shoulder, and proceeded to really play every thing you'd do when "test driving" a guitar. after 10 minutes he swapped it for yet another slope shoulder acoustic. i ran all through this one also… i then asked for 1st one back and played for 2 minutes and my mind was made up. i was totally surprised to find myself holding this "Eastman E20SS" … well i took that beautiful guitar home (and $1400. in change!!!) and now 9 months later i absolutely love my Eastman, as do all my guitar buddy's who always want to play her when the stop in. sure i have a few Gibson's in my heard, but i thank that young salesman often when i'm playing this beauty… enjoy.mrtbonetim
