I needed a low cost acoustic in a hurry. I had quickly researched this one online and was intrigued. It wasn't a requirement for my acoustic to have a built in pickup, yet this affordable model has impressive electronics added! Typically, I won't buy a guitar unless I can play it in person. Fortunately, there were a lot of these in stock at the local Sam Ash. I always rate guitars on three things: do they look good, play good and sound good? I will usually settle for two out of three, and I'm vain enough onstage to insist that a guitar must look good, I'll put up with poor sound or playability for good looks. Fortunately, this guitar looks great, plays great and sounds great! This was my upgrade from a Lucero 150se and what a difference it made. In terms of playability there's no comparison, the Cordoba is superior in every way. Start with the tuners/nut which are perfectly smooth allowing you to make small adjustments even on steel strings. Playing the Cordoba is simply easier and there were things I could not do well on the Lucero due to the thickness of the wood neck. Mind you I'm not talking about the nut width which is 50mm on both, I'm talking the actual thickness of the wood neck itself below the fret board. The slimmer profile of the Cordoba meant reaching certain chords easier, changing chords faster, and giving my hands the ability to put pressure when needed. The factory strings on the Cordoba appear to be superior as well although I would still upgrade them if you can afford it; the steel strings on the Lucero wore out at about 85hrs. No fret noise of any kind on the Cordoba (so long as you play the chord right) whereas on the Lucero I would get buzzing on frets 5 & 6 from both 5th and 4th strings with anything other than light strumming, even with perfect finger placement. The sound of the Cordoba is more sharp, crisp, and clear than the Lucero. My only con is that the shallower body does create a slightly more "twangy" sound than I'm used to but its a negligible difference I quickly settled with in exchange for the other qualities. You get what you pay for. This is a very solid guitar for the price. I would recommend nothing less for serious beginners.Joe T
I mostly play rock/popular music gigs but wanted a classical nylon guitar for that particular sound on home recording projects. I researched intermediate level guitars and thought I'd found what I wanted when I chanced on a review of the Cordoba C7 and decided to spend a little more and go with that. I haven't been disappointed. The build quality and tone have been worth that little extra. It would have been nice if a gig bag was included to give it some protection but it wasn't a deal breaker.David
I had a misconception regarding this brand. The only Cordoba's I noticed in stock at the store were inexpensive ukuleles. So when I began the search for a proper classical guitar, Cordoba was nowhere on my list. I ordered a used european built guitar by a reputable brand. It arrived with a bad up-bow in the neck. That's when I learned that traditional classical guitars have no truss rod. (Just my opinion, but wood isn't what it used to be, and you aren't going to get an instrument built with old growth timber under several thousand dollars.) So began my search for a "traditional classical guitar", but with a truss rod. That google search led straight to Cordoba. (All their models have truss rods.) I ordered a C7 (built in China) and a 45CO (built in Spain) to see what this brand was about. It would be a battle royale for build and sound quality. The loser is… my bank account, because I'd like to keep both. The two have a different build and likewise a different feel and sound. (see Cordoba's website for details.) Fit and finish is impeccable on both guitars. The C7 projects more, while the 45CO has perhaps a slightly more refined tone. My past experience has been that nylon string guitars are difficult to play, have poor intonation and need to be tuned more than played. None of that is the case with these two. My steel string acoustic and electrics are collecting dust while I obsess over this genre of guitar. My conclusion is… classical guitars are awesome, and Cordoba should definitely be on your test drive list. What I received are well priced instruments that are not only well made but intoxicatingly fun to play.JRH

The Córdoba GK Studio Negra is a rare gem among acoustic classical guitars. Once you hold it and hear the incredible tones it offers your ears, you not want to put it down. Pure ear candy that plays like soft golden butter as you easily slide your fingers on the fretboard and bend the strings. After playing many other acoustic and classical guitars over the years as a professional musician, the GK Studio Negra was ‘the one’ I’d been searching for. It just feels good and the woods are so well balanced not only in tones but beautifully designed. It’s truly a work of art and has much character. This guitar is great. I've had no real qualms with it so far, albeit I've only had it since April 1st. I used to play about a decade ago, but life happened and I stopped playing consistently. I bought a Jasmine S34-C about a month back to start up playing again, but it didn't revitalize my love for guitar quite like this one did. I had only played an acoustic before up until I picked up this GK Studio. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. The ebony/gold tuning keys look very refined and the guitars "negra" or black style looks sooooo good. The contrast between the lighter and darker colors does a lot for me. The sound(for me) is just right. Not too soft, but not excessively punchy. I am not someone to perform at gigs as I've only ever played at home, but this guitar definitely has made me want to give it my all and try new things! When things finally get back to 100% here in the states I'll be giving this guitar a shot at a few spots. I've seen a few reviews online that suggest that this is a great gig guitar as well and has a great sound when plugged in so I can't wait to try that out even more so! The only (minor)thing I can think of that I would call a "con" is the Fishman tuner built onto the side of the guitar. I have not had a chance to test out the different options when it is plugged into an amp, but the on-hand guitar tuner setting can be a bit fidgety at times. Its not anything severe as I usually just tune by ear, but I personally only use it for a guide to get back to standard when I'm done messing about with other alt. tunings. I wouldn't say it docks a star from this review, but its just something to look out for if anyone is wondering about it.Ruben S

Overall: I am very very happy with this guitar. It is not a perfect instrument, but for the price, you can't really get a better semi hollow, and with the 339 body, its almost impossible to find a sub $500 model. Was really happy with the specs that Epiphone has upgraded to, the grover tuners and graphtech nut really help sell the package, (i hate switching out sub-par parts). The paint job on the F holes was a little lacking but I was able to touch up with a paint marker and the plywood top was sanded a little to much in some places, revealing the ply, but I really can't complain. the stock pickups sound great and while setting the instrument up, I was very impressed at how solidly put together it is and how well it plays. Great fret work, usually the frets are lacking on a guitar in this price range. It would be great to see a deluxe model for the 339 with some more cosmetic upgrades and pickups but this instrument is a steal, get it now!
I have always wanted a 335, but did not like the larger size. I saw this 339 and stepped up and bought it home. Had to wait 6 weeks, but was it ever worth it. This is the best guitar I have ever played or been around. Cannot make my mind up if it plays better than it looks, or if it looks better then it sounds. It came set up really well, intonation and all. All I had to do was tune it and go. Cannot find one flaw in the paint, assembly or anything wrong at all. It rings so true, holds a note and there is a major difference when selecting either pickup or both, and the tone and volume controls lets you have an infinite setting control on tone and volume. Set the bridge to really ring out and the neck one a little muddy and together it is killer, but can flip the switch and brighten a solo up good. An absolute joy to play. Just strike your favorite chord and let it ring…beautiful fun. I was worried about the neck thickness, but it is a non issue. Easy to chord, simple to fret in any way you please. I cannot express just how happy I am with this guitar. Michael at musicians friend was a great help in every way getting it here.Keith
Very comfortable to hold and play, with a slightly chunky neck which is my preference. Combines the best aspects of 335s and Les Pauls. It's also heavier than I thought it would be (again for me a good thing, I don't like feather-light guitars) I was expecting SG weights and annoying neck dive. As suggested already it seems to sound somewhere between a full-sized 335 type and a solid body, which again isn't much of a surprise. Seems to have more twang than my LP which is good for my taste, which is more soul and funk. The finish is also perfect, though slightly different to the one advertised at the time of purchase. The neck fades into a natural varnish rather than the all-black paint. Also the sides are solid natural varnish rather than the fading between black and natural effect.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

This was my upgrade from a Lucero 150se and what a difference it made. In terms of playability there's no comparison, the Cordoba is superior in every way. Start with the tuners/nut which are perfectly smooth allowing you to make small adjustments even on steel strings. Playing the Cordoba is simply easier and there were things I could not do well on the Lucero due to the thickness of the wood neck. Mind you I'm not talking about the nut width which is 50mm on both, I'm talking the actual thickness of the wood neck itself below the fret board. The slimmer profile of the Cordoba meant reaching certain chords easier, changing chords faster, and giving my hands the ability to put pressure when needed. The factory strings on the Cordoba appear to be superior as well although I would still upgrade them if you can afford it; the steel strings on the Lucero wore out at about 85hrs. No fret noise of any kind on the Cordoba (so long as you play the chord right) whereas on the Lucero I would get buzzing on frets 5 & 6 from both 5th and 4th strings with anything other than light strumming, even with perfect finger placement. The sound of the Cordoba is more sharp, crisp, and clear than the Lucero. My only con is that the shallower body does create a slightly more "twangy" sound than I'm used to but its a negligible difference I quickly settled with in exchange for the other qualities. You get what you pay for. This is a very solid guitar for the price. I would recommend nothing less for serious beginners.Joe T
This guitar is great. I've had no real qualms with it so far, albeit I've only had it since April 1st. I used to play about a decade ago, but life happened and I stopped playing consistently. I bought a Jasmine S34-C about a month back to start up playing again, but it didn't revitalize my love for guitar quite like this one did. I had only played an acoustic before up until I picked up this GK Studio. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. The ebony/gold tuning keys look very refined and the guitars "negra" or black style looks sooooo good. The contrast between the lighter and darker colors does a lot for me. The sound(for me) is just right. Not too soft, but not excessively punchy. I am not someone to perform at gigs as I've only ever played at home, but this guitar definitely has made me want to give it my all and try new things! When things finally get back to 100% here in the states I'll be giving this guitar a shot at a few spots. I've seen a few reviews online that suggest that this is a great gig guitar as well and has a great sound when plugged in so I can't wait to try that out even more so! The only (minor)thing I can think of that I would call a "con" is the Fishman tuner built onto the side of the guitar. I have not had a chance to test out the different options when it is plugged into an amp, but the on-hand guitar tuner setting can be a bit fidgety at times. Its not anything severe as I usually just tune by ear, but I personally only use it for a guide to get back to standard when I'm done messing about with other alt. tunings. I wouldn't say it docks a star from this review, but its just something to look out for if anyone is wondering about it.Ruben S

I bought this guitar in december 2020. it received a professional fret leveling and setup. neck pickup was upgraded to a gibson 57 classic. the tuners were replaced to grovers. i also replaced the bridge stop bar with a light weight titanium stew mac one. this thing is in great condition. comes with gig bag as well (not pictured). just need the money that's why its gotta go. thanks!

I waited until I had this awhile before submitting a review. I was a little disappointed that the fret ends overlapped the neck binding just a very tiny bit. But it's not noticeable at all when your playing and I've gotten totally over that. This thing is absolutely beautiful, it is so fun to play, and the Seymour Duncans are the best. Never has such fantastic tones came out of my little tube amp before. Those pups seal the deal. This thing has more sustain that any electric guitar I have ever owned. Some people complain about the giant ornamental headstock. But I believe that is partially responsible for adding sustain because it adds a lot of mass to the neck.Dave
My wife got me this for Christmas, at one of the "Deal of the Day" prices. As someone with 10+ guitars, including American Gibsons and Fenders, I can't recommend this enough, particularly at the DotD price. Out of the box, setup and intonation were fine, the action is nice and low, and it plays great. No buzzes anywhere on the fret board. Great tone unplugged, even better with the P-90s when plugged in. Quality wise – it gives up very little to guitars costing a lot more. The tuners work well, the bridge, knobs, and switch gear are all totally fine as well. The Duncan P-90 pickups sound fantastic, and you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of other guitars with American pickups at that price. The nut is plastic, so if you were looking for something to upgrade, that would be where I'd start. The frets could use a quick polishing and the board could use some lemon oil – but that's true of every single new guitar I've ever bought in this price range, so nothing new there. I love the blue burst color, and the guitar is super light in my hands. I really wanted a hollow or semi-hollow with P-90s, and this really scratched that itch at a fantastic price. I wouldn't hesitate to get another D'Angelico after owning this one!Amir
My D'Angelico SS Boardwalk came with 4 wire USA Seymour Duncan "HOT ROD" pickups (SH2 & SH4). It also has a 24 3/4" (Gibson) scale, a thin-taper C-cut neck, a 14" radius with medium jumbo frets, and a durable 2 piece maple neck which is flawlessly finished in thin Poly (not nitro). The factory fret-job is as least as good as my factory PLEKKED Gibson. The playability is great, and visually (as you can see) it's comparable to the ES-335 (I actually like the sound of USA Seymour Duncan SH pickups better than Burstbuckers).Tim

Guitar was not setup properly had to adjust everything. The cheap Vinyl that's glued on otter edge already pealing. When it arrived there was glue seeping from the edges, didnt realize until I touched it & ruined my $$60.00 gold plated strings. I replaced truss rod cover, junk. Knobs dont match/ugly replaced. Nut was junk, not cut right, made my own in my shop. The glue seepage awful. Removed cheap Vinyl treating guitar to remove exess glue, ridiculous. Huge scratch on back chip on rear bottom of neck where vynil was joined. For the 60th anniversary edition… Worst I've ever seen! My original 59 still looks plays and sounds fantastic. Cutting corners using cheap materials and trying to save money is no way to honor guitars from our past. Sound not that great but I'll have to replace some wiring & tuners as well. stuff to get it to sound halfway decent. I play in a Zeppelin tribute band at all the hotels and in Vegas, definitely not stage worthy! What a major disappointment. Way over priced. My appraisal $80.00 and that's being generous. Someone in the band said we should do one of those early 60's songs. I listened to it, and it clearly had that 12-string jangle so characteristic of the period. The best thing for that is a Rickenbacker 12-string, but I wasn't going to spring for that for just a few songs. So I zeroed in on a few possibilities, including this Danelectro, and the Dean Boca and the Ibanez Artcore in about the same price range. But the Dano is of course pretty much the exact same instrument that they made back then, and it is arguably better now than it ever was. It was always an inexpensive brand, but had the distinction that a lot of famous people played them. Therefore it has that "original vibe", like the Rickenbacker, but at a fraction of the price. So the Dano was the obvious choice, and I got this NOS version (No-S = no S or F hole which some other models have and the originals did). They say it is still made from Masonite, but you can't tell since it is completely painted and while the website says it is laminated, it is very light-weight. And it still has that textured plastic tape around the whole perimeter like it's supposed to have. The neck strap button is in an awkward location, so you may have to cut a piece off your strap to make it fit (I did, and I replaced my strap buttons with Schaller black strap locks). These guitars are made in Korea, and the build quality is excellent. I was afraid that I'd have get a setup, but the one I received has a fine neck with a nice rosewood finger board, has low action and plays easily enough (for a 12-string), so I'm going to leave it as is. The sound is great! It has that unique Dano sound because of the two lipstick pickups. It may be too bright when using the bridge pickup only, but the thing is you get used to the tone really quickly, so it may work just fine. It certainly will cut through the mix! It is louder when using both pickups, which is probably what I will use most of the time. In sum, I'm very happy with it! It will do!Willy
I didn't have high hopes for a 12 string electric at this price point, but I also couldn't resist, and WOW – am I completely satisfied! This guitar plays really well. It came with a good set-up and when I fine tuned it all the systems worked as they should. You can even adjust intonation on all twelve strings. Thus far the neck has been straight and easily adjusts to string or environmental conditions – I've given it a slight adjustment once it acclimated to my desert conditions and since it has been stable and true. Of course I should protect my guitar from the elements, and I bought a gig bag, but it stays out pretty much constantly and is used daily. This guitar is tons of fun. It easily does the Byrds style of 12 string sound. Also, I never knew just how many early Beatles riff where on 12 string until I started messing with this guitar. It's a blast. I own a Rick 6 string and have always wanted an electric 12. This Danelectro is great quality and great fun and it more than satisfies my itch (for now) at fraction of the price. You will not regret buying this guitar – it will unlock a new world!Mike

I have over 20 electric guitars. A few are 3 or 4 times more expensive than this one. But this is my daily player. It sounds crunchy like a les paul, but is so light so it's comfortable to use for hours. It sustains beautifully because of the pickups, but if you really get close to an over driven amp, it's feedback is the most melodic sound out of any guitar, due to it's hollow closed body. It's just so solid for any rock sound, lead or rhythm.beatlebrent
I can't let this guitar sit here with no reviews. I picked one up when they first came out (summer 2013) and have been using it as my main guitar for shows since then. I'm really enjoying playing this guitar and haven't been wanting for a new electric guitar since getting it. I play blues/rock/roots music. The sound is very full, if a little on the bright side. I almost always use the neck pickup. The bridge seems a little too thin and bright for my tastes. Beautiful finish and excellent feel and playability. It plays so easy. Tried it out alongside all the other hollow/semi-hollow guitars with similar specs and it was an easy decision because of the sound, feel, fit + finish, and WEIGHT. It's so dang light, it's great. One of the tuners has had some slipping issues since I bought it, and I will probably replace the whole set. They're certainly not terrible, but not as good as some other guitars I've used. All in all a super solid axe that people are always asking me about after shows. Worth the price.Beige
The guitar was advertised with "light scratches on back". I looked all aver the guitar, no blemishes anywhere! The nut on the bridge pickup tome control was cross-threaded, so the control would spin past the stop point. This was easily resolved by loosening the nut and reseating it. The only other issue is some debris rattling around in the body cavity. The guitar arrived well set-up; neck was straight, action just a little too low for my personal preference and was in-tune out of the box. It's very light at 5.6 lbs, and plays very well. It's advertised as a hollow-body, but I've seen other reviews that claim it's "chambered". I haven't really settled on a preferred neck shape and this one is very comfortable. Frets seem a little higher than my other guitars, but no issue. Tone of the pickups, and the hollow body deliver a nice range of sounds through my 2nd gen Fender Blues Jr. The pickups are Franz P90 Soap-bars. My only other experience with P-90's are limited to an Epiphone Les Paul Special I P-90. The Guilds are not as hot, and subjectively smoother. They do not appear to be height adjustable. My guitar came with a nicely book-matched back, but there are matching knots in the wood. It's not bad looking, but once you see it… The 3-piece neck is smooth, fast and nicely finished. The pieces are not book-matched, but I'm not sure at what price point you'd expect to find that level of detail. There are a couple if cons; the tone and volume controls tapers are very abrupt. Not a gentle change, and the middle pickup selector do not hum-cancel. Maybe this is accurate to the now vintage models. I got a good deal off the advertised price by buying a blemish level 2. My guitar had no visible blemishes.I think it is a great value for the level of workmanship at that price.None to Speak of

Amazed at the great quality you get here for the money.Many diverse textures available, from classic chimey strat,to crystal clean to a good beefy humbucker drive. This baby has a few tricks more than just a standard stratocaster. Sounds like an instrument costing at least $1200. Pickups are really nice and versatile.Spend time playing the various pickup/tone possibilities, its like opening pandoras box. I definitely like it as much as my Fender stratocaster costing ALOT More and I play it just as much. Plus it's super beautiful.

The model 1449 reissue from silvertone features a comfortable c shaped neck with a comfortable 12 inch radius and two way truss rod for accurate adjustment. the single coil lipstick pickups are wound to the same specs as the original and the lipstick case provides excellent shielding for low noise and high signal. the upgraded fully adjustable bridge loads the strings through the body for great response and thick resonant tone. one of the most clever and well known concepts in the early ‘60s guitar boom was the silvertone amp-in-case guitar. just open the case half way, stand it up, switch it on and wail! the original guitar in the 1962 kit was a single pickup, short neck model. a year later the two pickup 1449 was introduced and the amp-in-case really took off. the 1449 is the most-rare of the breed, being replaced by the almost identical red burst 1457 in 1964. this guitar screams.

The tuning bracket is very ascetically apeiling, reminds me of of Steinway and sons piano logo. The sound is so dynamic, warm and profound you won't need a microphone to amplify. This guitar covers it all. Simple, good pickups, great tones. Everywhere I play it musicians come up and as WHAT is that guitar? It sounds great. (They don't say my playing sounds great) Only mods I have done is a Tusk black nut and blocked the tremolo. That seemed to solve any tuning issues. I thought the all gold might be too much but soon got over that. Fit and finish is PRS fantastic.Wade
Um es kurz zu machen: Tolle Gitarre. Ich besitze bereits die Santana SE Double Cut, welche eine gute Gitarre ist. Allerdings bin ich mit deren Klang nie so hundertprozentig warm geworden wegen der Santana-„S“ Pickups. Sie sind, nun ja, etwas eigenwillig, um es mal so zu sagen. Gerade der Halstonabnehmer klingt mir zu dünn. Verzerrt gefallen sie mir durchaus, aber clean hat mich die DC nie begeistert. Nachdem nun die Single Cut mit ihren TCI S-Pickups hier zu einem günstigen Kurs zu haben war, habe ich sie mir mal kommen lassen und war vom Fleck weg begeistert. Freilich ist Klang immer Geschmackssache und sie hat ihren eigenen PRS-Sound, wenn man das so sagen kann. Und den mag man oder nicht. Aber mich hat sie überzeugt. Die Gitarre fühlt sich wertig an, spielt sich leicht und die Tonabnehmer holen aus der Gitarre definitiv was raus. Clean gefällt sie mir ihrem lockeren, klaren Sound. Verzerrt schmatz und singt es, wie man es erwartet. Wenn man dann noch das Tone-Poti bemüht, kommt man dem Meister aus Mexiko schon nahe. Geht mehr in die Santana-Richtung als die Double Cut, finde ich. Hervorzuheben ist auch das Volume-Poti, das wirklich sehr präzise regelt. Was Bryan Ewald im Produktvideo auf Youtube zeigt, kann ich bestätigen. Die Verarbeitung ist eigentlich sehr gut, lediglich der Toggle-Switch läuft etwas hakelig und könnte sich bald verabschieden, aber bei Gitarren aus Fernost hat man ja gerne mal dieses Problem. Der Gigbag war außen voller Styropor-Krümel, keine Ahnung was die da gemacht haben. Auch auf dem Korpus fanden sich schwarze gummiähnliche Krümel, die sich aber leicht abwischen ließen. Das habe ich so auch noch nie gesehen. Sonst gibt es wirklich nichts zu meckern. Besonders gefallen mir Griffbrett und Bünde. Das Griffbrett ist schön glatt und nicht trocken und die Bünde wurden wirklich spiegelglatt poliert, nichts schab und Bendings gehen wie durch Butter. Auch wurden die Bundstäbchen perfekt abgerichtet, man hat nicht das Gefühl eine Raspel in der Hand zu haben. Der Hals ist allerdings eher kräftig, liegt aber gut in der Hand. Eine Gibson SG mit Slim Taper Neck ist sie aber definitiv nicht. Also wer eine Gitarre will um auf Santana zu machen, ist mit der hier gut beraten. Aber auch alle anderen, die einfach eine PRS SE für Blues und Rock suchen, dürfen – allein wegen der Tonabnehmer – ruhig mal einen Blick riskieren – wenn man Gold mag 🙂 Wenn man den Preis bedenkt, bekommt man eine überdurchschnittlich gut verarbeitete und gefällig klingende Gitarre.

Sobrepasa sin duda toda expectativa, construcción sólida, digna de PRS, cómoda, rápida y apantallada a la perfección 0 ruidos, y lo dice alguien que se pelea día tras día con la toma de tierra. This guitar is a lot of fun, Mine is well made, enjoyable to play and has a personality all it's own. I was always kind of a fan of certain Harmony models from the fifties and sixties but the new Harmony instruments (apparently still American made) seem to be really well made with quality components and features. I'm really enjoying the clean sound of the neck pickup. Read the specs and you'll see it's pretty basic and you'll probably be adjusting your tone with the amp's controls some of the time but I'm okay with that. It's a fun guitar and I'm glad I got it.Ken

This guitar seems to be well built and has a nice deep sound. I’ve only had it for about 30 days, but I play it frequently for hours each time. I am excited everyday to play it during my breaks or when I am at home. The tuner is convenient, the controls are clear and the glossy finish is attractive. I took the guitar to GC for a truss rod adjustment which lowered the action. Frets and fingerboard are all up to par. Not much else to say. This is a good mid-level beginner’s guitar. Guitar is the third instrument that I am learning, after piano and drums. I look forward to playing this guitar during my breaks, at work, and when I come home. Most cordoba acoustic electric models are smaller than the standard 2 inch nut width. I teach music at a school who has the non-electric version, so it took a bit of time getting used to this. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I know that I can grow into this guitar, and if necessary I can “upgrade” if I become really good and dedicated. But in the meantime, I am content with enjoying the journey.Brian
I have had this guitar over 5 years. The Suarez high tension strings give it a clean sound. Warm bass string and higher treble strings. The guitar looks great and holds sound longer then some of the guitars I own in this price range. Plan to stick with Cordoba is I ever upgrade. Also enjoy the cutout and pickup. After you change your strings it does take 1-2 days before your strings tighten and settle. This is due to the high tension.Eloy
I purchased this guitar about 3 weeks ago and wanted to wait to give a review until after I'd played it for a while… turns out my first impressions were really accurate — this is an excellent guitar! The C4-CE is well-built, beautiful, and sounds warm and full. The frets are smooth, and overall this guitar seems better-constructed than some more expensive nylon-string models that were available at my local GC. This is my first nylon-string guitar, though I have played acoustics for nearly 20 years. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the C4-CE, and the sound, quality, and playability are really exceptional for the cost. The solid wood top resonates beautifully and I think the volume is great for nylon strings. I really look forward to owning and playing this guitar for years to come! (Plus, it's beautiful!)Ann V.

I purchased this guitar when it was $95 off full price. So that kind of makes it a worthwhile purchase. Definitely not worth full price in my opinion. Poorly packed with insufficient padding in the box allowed two of the strings to be bent during shipping. I assume this happened during shipping. They wouldnt send bent strings right? Thankfully they provided back up strings… The nut is very poorly crafted. You can visibly see burrs and imperfections in the nut that cause the strings to ring out of tune on certain parts of the fret board even after tuning. The pick-up selector nob fell right off first time I adjusted it. I will have to glue it myself. When the notes do play out true the triple pick ups sound better than the Peavy beginner guitar I used to have– Which only had two pickups and came in a similar starter package but was about half the price as this guitar. I think if I research how to fix some of the issues I can make it playable. But this guitar is far from playable out of the box. Fairly poor quality control.Cody
I was looking forward to ordering this as my first guitar after taking some classes a couple years back. The shipping was remarkably fast–however, when the product arrived the amp was completely broken. Upon plugging the guitar into the amp and strumming, it would make a horrendous scratching, broken sound. Plucking strings has the exact same effect, and occasionally the amp will cut off after a second of playing. I've tried adjusting the dials, turning overdrive on and off, I even bought a new cord thinking that was the issue to no avail. To make matters worse I have called the customer support number multiple times asking if I could recieve a partial refund, or ship back the amp for a functioning replacement–every time I'm left on hold before the call disconnects, if I can even get through to begin with. The only reason this isn't a one star review is that the guitar itself works fine and looks beautiful! I wouldn't reccomend buying the full set if they don't bother to make sure one of the most essential parts is functioning before shipping however.James B.
In December 2020, I purchased the Beginner Electric Guitar Kit w/ Case, 10W Amp, Tremolo Bar – 39in. The packaging was excellent and the delivery was on time. Initially, I purchased it for my kids but they did not express any interest. So, I took up the guitar myself and started learning via YouTube. I popped a few strings and when I took it to the guitar shop to have the strings replaced, they were pleasantly surprised by the quality workmanship of the guitar. Since then, I've learned to tune the guitar and replace the strings myself – courtesy of YouTube. The guitar is really great and I play it everyday.
