I'm not really a pinky slide person, but I have a bunch of different slides and had to add this one the arsenal. It fits pretty tight (doesn't drop over my middle knuckle) and is about the same quality as the dunlops; maybe a little less heavy in the plating. It's great for live use because it's versatile and stays on well, doesn't break, and can still get a pretty good tone on a low-actioned guitar. It's not going to make you sound Elmore James, but you can really get the Johnny Winter/Duane Allman things going while still being able to use the other fingers. I would recommend this for someone who plays slide in standard tuning live or doesn't have a guitar dedicated to slide in their rig that maybe needs this for one/two songs. Awhile back I picked up a Jeff Beck Strat and decided to stay with the lighter strings (.009 instead of .10 or .11 that I use on my older blocked/hardtail Strat). I needed a lighter slide but all the other "pinky slides" I tried, glass or metal, were too light. I bought this slide NOT expecting the sound quality it gives. This slide is large diameter thin walled chrome plated brass. It is so light that it is easy to use and gives very good sound quality, which I didn't expect from it. This is my second most favorite side I use only because of the length. I play an electric guitar that is tuned as a Resonator guitar tuning and I like to use a long length slide that will cover all six strings at once (with a little extra). This slide allows you to play and chord the fretboard pretty much the way you normally would; however, you can quickly flip it right back into slide mode. I never used a slide because trying to figure out where to put one while you were playing other parts of the song was always a problem, not to mention trying to quickly get it back on for the next slide part. This solves the problem. The Jetslide is worn like a ring and when you don't need it in a particular part of a song, you merely flip it back and it is behind your fingers. When you need it again, reach up with your pinkie finger and pull it back into place. Very quick and easy change. I ordered the brass one but didn't want to wait since it was on backorder. The stainless steel version I ended up with is great and it is well made. Hopefully, when they get back to full production, they will start producing their glass ones again, which are really a glass sleeve (multiple colors available) that is siliconed over a regular Jetslide..Mark W.
I've always been a rhythm guitarist, but have tried adding slide over the years. With my smaller hands and fingers, it was always a challenge. With the Jetslide, I was able to get a ring size that fit me perfectly. After using this a week or so, I feel like I'm finally after all these years getting the hang of slide soloing. I own several other types of slides, full sized and "adjustables" . As far as sound, nothing beats a regular tubular slide worn on the pinky. The relative flatness of the contact area is unbeatable. That said…. This slide is amazing! Wearing it on the ring finger, and after a very short try period in which to use it you just turn it a little with the pinky, this slide lets you get excellent sounds, although is has a smaller radius. The clincher is that after you use it as a slide, a very small movement gets it really out of the way, so that you can REALLY use ALL your fingers to to regular fretwork. Although the "bar" is solid, due to the way it is supported on the base of the ring finger, the weight is very manageable and it is easy to get used to it. After I bought my first one, I had to have a spare to keep on my other working guitar pack! It's that good!Iggy

I bought this product to try something different from the slide I have. I unfortunately bought one measure too big, but in general I have no problem when I play, so it's ok. The sound is much warmer and rich and sustain is good. I am actually trying some other "reissue" to see which matches best the sound I have in my mind. Ordered several of these over the last couple of years. Sizing is inconsistent. About half do not fit and have to be returned (too small). I prefer wearing slide on end of middle finger (a la Billy Gibbons, Bonnie Raitt, and Joe Walsh). As I have large fingers, this means the right I.D. is important as well as the right length. The medium sized ones are the perfect length whereas the large size is too long. Sigh.blackcloud45
