Reviews:
This is an amazing sounding instrument for the price. The quality of craftsmanship is that of a much more expensive instrument. And to top if off, it sounds great. The neck feels better than more expensive Martins. I liken it to an Australian Maton. And it comes with a solid gig bag. Highly recommended.Beninem80
Overall: All I can say is I am really glad I bought this guitar. I am not going to go into a three page novel reviewing it. I will say this is my second Taylor. My first is a 416ce-R….I purchased a couple of years ago which I love playing, and enjoy thoroughly. That being said I love this GS Mahogany Mini more. For a fraction of the cost you have an awesome guitar here that plays incredibly. Bought a SKB hard case to protect it. The case that came with it is nice, but not for air travel. I just can't stop playing this mini. Great sound, playability, quality and beautiful. Glad I bought this guitar. No regrets!
This guitar is warm and rich sounding. The playability is incredible and feels amazing in the hands. It looks like it is worth more than what it is. Taylor took the care and attention to this line of guitars as it does with its higher end models. I used to have a 614ce and this mini is on par with the way it feels. Obviously not as loud as the 614ce or as pretty, but the care in craftsmanship is the same. Not that the guitar is pretty though. I love this guitar and could not put it down. Sweetwater also did an excellent job on inspecting and packaging this guitar to make sure it sounds perfect when it arrives in my hands.

I purchased this as my first guitar and have taught myself to play with some help from the complimentary lessons that I received as an extra gift with purchase. I'm not that great yet but I love this instrument and I feel that my love for the sound and the way it feels has had a major impact on how quickly I've picked up on playing. I love the way it sounds! I love the way it feels when I hold it! I know I will move on as my playing becomes better but I'll never give up this guitar! And I am so happy I chose to purchase this with the easy payment plan and affordable payment, I never felt any guilt towards the purchase which made it easier for me to spend time with it, practicing and eventually playing! Thank you for such an amazing, easy, guilt-free experience.Heather
Purchased guitar at local Sam Ash but didn't have in stock because it's left handed. They sent it from Fla. location directly to my house in three days as promised. Open gig bag to find a display model guitar with badly scratched pick guard . A blind man could before putting in gig bag. Disappointed they would send demo model after paying full price and requesting new only. Rest of guitar seemed in fine shape . I recommend if you buy have shipped to (SA) to inspect it before you take possession.RJ

Reviews:
I love this guitar. I initially wanted an amp, The same model as my first amp, a gift from my parents that I regretfully sold.I placed an order with guitar center and within a few days they called to ask if I would accept a demo model. I told them I really wanted a new one. A few more days passed and my amp was at the store, I picked it up and sure enough it was used, thrown upside down in a box and missing the foot switch. They told me they would get me a new one, but they couldn't and I ended up getting my money back. I was discouraged and ended up spending half the money on something else and never got the amp. I decided I would buy an acoustic with the rest of the money and I had heard good things about the Taylor GS mini. I didn't know where to order from and decided to try Sweetwater. This was the best move I have made. I received a text message right after I ordered, then an email with pictures of my guitar and it showed up the very next day… in tune! This guitar sounds amazing. It also came with a little bag of candy. I was so happy with Sweetwater that I placed another order the day my guitar arrived for a strap and a new cable for my electric guitar. I could have drove 10 minutes to guitar center but I am done with them and now will only order from Sweetwater. The customer service is the best. This is how you treat your customers! I look forward to getting more gear from you guys. Thank you!
I have been wanting to get my own Taylor GS Mini since I first heard one, and when I saw the rosewood back and sides model, I knew I had to act. It wasn't in the budget at the time, but I was so anxious to have one that I called AMS, and man, am I glad I did! My sales associate Enrique made it SO easy for me to obtain this lovely instrument that I simply had to do it. First, the guitar itself: I've never owned a parlor guitar before, and wasn't exactly sure it would be suitable sonically, but man, the sound of this instrument just Blows.My.Mind! Every note of every string rings out as well as or better than any acoustic I've ever played, including several guitars costing three and four times as much. And the tone is simply astounding: huge, rich, bell-like clarity up and down the entire sonic spectrum, and the sustain is simply unbelievable. The setup was very much to my liking and suits my playing style perfectly, and the craftsmanship is second to none. I waited for several weeks before writing this because I wanted to play it for awhile before giving my opinion, and I love it more each and every time I pick it up. I'm not a luthier, but I am a finish carpenter with considerable woodworking experience, having worked in wood for more than forty years now, and I have yet to spot a single flaw anywhere on this guitar. Not only that, but every time I pick it up, I end up playing for much longer than I had intended, so it's good that I am retired! It's just such a joy to play that it really will become a time thief if you're not careful, but that's the kind of problem I think we all want in our gear. I own nine other guitars, mostly electrics, but this has become my go-to baby, because of its breathtaking tone and articulation. I just can't say enough about how glad I am to've made this purchase, and if you are thinking about getting one, think no more! This beautiful and apparently flawless work of art would be a great bargain at twice the price, and for what AMS is selling them for, you would be crazy not to get one. Call Enrique today and prepare to be blown away!
Bought this guitar for my daughter for Christmas. I got a gs mini koa plus for my present, and I honestly can't decide with one I like better. The rosewood back and sides on this guitar are stunning. The Sitka top sounds great, especially considering the size. I cant say enough good things about the gs mini.

9. Taylor 410ce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Product Details:
Taylor product overviewwith the big dreadnought body sound, the 410ce is another of taylor's genuine high-quality workhorse guitars. the 410ce features the bright and clear resonance of a spruce top coupled with the warmth and sparkle of the ovangkol back and sides, a member of the rosewood family. the 410ce is fitted with the taylor expression system which, when set flat for an uncoloured, exceptionally clean amplified sound, gives a remarkable reproduction of an acoustic guitar.again, like all taylor guitars the neck on the 410ce is a joy to behold with a comfortable ease-of-play design. dreadnoughts are built to be played hard and the 410ce is no exception, this is a real strummers and hard picking guitarist's guitar. although with a finely balanced tone, fingerpickers may be delighted with the response.here's what taylor has to say about the 410ce dreadnought electro / acoustic; "sporting a venetian cutaway and taylor's expression system electronics, this versatile dreadnought is ready for anything. from your living room to the concert stage, it's ideal for medium to heavy strumming and flat-picking." ovangkol lends exotic flare to the 400 series, with a tone many find similar to indian rosewood. follow the fluid lines of the venetian cutaway, dramatically outlined with contrasting white binding. the expression system pickup completes the package on this popular acoustic/electric.

Reviews:
I’ve been playing a Taylor 310 for 25 years and was looking for something smaller and lighter to transport. Having read a lot of reviews and listened to the videos I thought I would try the GS Mini Koa and see what all the fuzz was about. This guitar sounds amazing! The Koa gives it a depth AND sparkle that you don’t expect from a small guitar. I keep asking myself does it lack depth compared to my dreadnought, technically it does but actually I don’t miss it because the sound is so full. The volume too is quite exceptional, I tend to strum a lot with a pick and don’t mind digging in hard….. this guitar just sings under those circumstances. It get’s louder and louder without noticeably going out of tune. At the other end there is such clarity and sustain that quiet finger picking also sounds great. You can easily hear a single note melody within a chord. Are there any downsides? Well if you have big hands then the reduced neck length may feel too cramped…. For me this is actually more comfortable than a full size neck but you wouldn’t want it any smaller. In summary I’m blown away, just amazing.David
Wow… what a stunner! Opening the case for the first time was quite an experience. This is a seriously beautiful guitar with beautiful craftsmanship. As a beginner with small hands (even for a lady) I have found acoustic guitars in the past to be very uncomfortable to play, the size of the body, the width of the neck, the high action, and after struggling with a Lorenzo Flame Series for the past year I decided enough was enough, electrics aren't almost impossible to play so why should I have to struggle with acoustic? I did some research and everything was pointing me towards the Taylor GS Mini-E series. Holding this guitar in my hands for the first time felt like a revelation. It felt like Taylor had made a guitar specifically for me – wearing a strap the body fits easily under my arm and my fingers just know exactly where they're meant to go. The sound of the guitar is rich and vibrant with a bright top tone – quite a feat in a parlour size guitar. After watching reviews it seems that this is due to the Koa body. The guitar also comes with soft, well-padded case that feels like it'll protect well from bumps and bruises whilst travelling. It has some nice shoulder straps so it feels like you're wearing a large (but light!) backpack. The best thing about this guitar though is that it's such a joy to hold and play that I can't put it down; my playing ability has increased so much in the past few weeks since buying it. As a beginner I absolutely recommend this guitar as an introduction to acoustic guitars. If you're a beginner and you've been playing an electric for while but want to get into playing acoustic, try out a Taylor GS Mini-e – it might be the one for you.Laura K.
Taylor is my dream acoustic guitar brand. And I always like the versatility and sound of a GS Mini in all versions: Mahogany, Spruce and also, Koa. Mine is Spruce 100% acoustic. It is worth to mention some details about how to extract the best sound of it: 1. The recommended string gauge is .13. Pay attention to all demos and YouTube video reviews. All of them use .13 string gauge. I recommend Elixir 16182 Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb HD Light Acoustic Strings 13-53. You can find here https://www.musicstore.de/en_DE/EUR/Elixir-16182-Phosphor-Bronze-Nanoweb-HD-Light-Acoustic-Strings-13-53/art-GIT0030955-000 2. For recording use two mics to get the best of it. See some youtube videos how to do it. 3. Increase the playability using a light strings. See the link in item 1. Pros 1. Excellent full sound. Easily mistaken for a full body western guitar because of the sound. 2. Highly portable 3. Excellent satin finish 4. Despite the size the playability is awesome with a more lighter string set 5. Despite to be not recommended to play on the sofa, it is so easy play on the couch with this guitar. Kinda made for it. 6. Comes with a well made not so soft bag, but still bag. Cons 1. Price, little bit steep 2. The back of the guitar is arched or little bit rounded. I’m sure this is by design to increase the resonance of the instrument but in some circumstances the guitar slips when playing it.

Reviews:
Had other parlour guitars but always thought they didn't sound to good but I like the look and quality of the Taylor. So easy to play and the built-in tuner and electrics magic. Trouble is the grandson has taken a fancy to it and he's only just started playing so I might not have it for to long. Overall love it.Dave L.
I bought it because I had an injury to my right arm which left me with limited range of motion and unable to use my standard size Ovation. The Baby Taylor is easy to play and sounds good amplified, but acoustically it is easy to play it too hard. In addition mine gives me a harsh resonance when I play an open D. It turns out that the resonance is also present on notes simply near the D. (Its not fret buzz.) It is much less noticeable when amplified, don't know why. Other people don't notice it and tell me that the guitar has a wonderful sound. I played a Big Baby Taylor and loved it, but it's bigger and therefore less portable and easy for me to play. Perhaps the unwanted resonance is unique to my guitar. I haven't tried to get it looked at by a luthier yet. Perhaps another small guitar, like the Martin, would be better. Don't know. I'm pretty much satisfied with it because it is small and very light and portable which fits my need. It's pretty, nice workmanship, good tuner and electronics.Ed
Lovely sound and tone – a real pleasure to play. Nice looking guitar. Can't fault it at all: Looks great sounds great. So easy to pick up and have a strum anywhere: out and about, on the stairs, on the sofa wouldn't surprise me if I play it on the toilet one day, actually, maybe not! Good gigbag too – light and easy to carry – I can even ride my bike with it on my back no problems at all. Riding off to the forest with my guitar now is easy and just makes it what it's all about enjoying playing music in your favourite places.Reviewed by guitarguitar custome

Reviews:
I had bought one of these back in 2017 when I made the switch to Acoustic. I don't know why but, I got rid of it so I could make the move tpo the Martin X-Series only because I had always wanted a Martin. To make a long story short, the Martin didn't cut it for me, so last week I made the move back to Taylor and the Big Baby. These newer ones are so beautiful but it's a shame, that Taylor has discontinued them. The Brown headstock along with the Solid Spruce top and Walnut back and sides, have really IMO, improved this model. Once set up properly, it stays in tune and just sounds awesome ! I would say that it is the best Acoustic going today which is under the 500 dollar range. Plus seeing that I'm on a low budget, this was a no-brainer. It's a keeper and I am getting a lot of joy playing it.Jeffrey
I had bought one of these from here way back in 2017 , which I used when I was gigging . I'm now retired ( 63 ) and only play at home now. I had to take a couple of years away from playing, due to pain in my left hand , which built up from 50 years of playing. I came back to playing in August of 2021 and I had bpught a Martin X-Series which at the time, I thought was great . Well it turned out that I ended up having issues with it and got rid of it, so I went back to getting a new, Big Baby Taylor, which always served me well. It's too bad that Taylor discontinued these because, these newer models are IMO, a vast improvement over the older ones. Since I got it on this past Sunday, I can not put this down. It just sounds so amazing and it stays in tune forever. While the included gigbag is a plus, I went and bought a Hardshell case for it. For those who want a Taylor but are on a low budget, this is worth the asking price and then some.Jeff
Since I went back to playing last summer after a 3 year hiatus, due to wrist pain in my left hand, I was using a Martin X-Series OMCX1E which I had nothing but problems with such as not staying in tune, fret buzz, etc. So over a week ago, I made the decision to switch to a Big Baby Taylor. I am limited as far as funds go, so $500.00 was the most that I could afford and I did not want to get a Baby but the Big Baby which is pretty close to a standard dreadnought size , at least as th neck scale is concerned. The body is a tad smaller and lighter which for me at my age ( 63 ) , makes playing a lot easier. Thiis came already set up and strung with Elixirs , which I liked . I can not believe how light in weight this is and it stays in tune , which is a huge plus for me. As far as tone goes, this easily blows away any of the Martin X-Series .I love this guitar and I will be making some wonderful memories with it.jeffreyo46

I came in to sign up for guitar lessons as an old man. I could barely spell guitar. First thing — I would need a guitar. Soon, I was in a room full of guitars, and I had no idea what I needed. Sam Ash's man knew. Not too cheap; not too expensive; not too gaudy; try this one, try that one. After a while we decided on the Baby Taylor. What a joy he was to work with, explaining, suggesting, leading, helping. A great experience. And, I love my guitar.Ralph
Purchased in 2002 for practice and travel when I didn't want to take a full-sized guitar. I was impressed with the rich sound and ease of play. It stays in tune, even when not played for long periods of time. It's always been stored in the Baby Taylor gig bag that came with it, in a closet, when not in use. I recently took it out to practice and discovered a crack in the top near the bottom, and that the top has separated from the body all across the bottom. It's been stored in a closet, protected from humidity fluctuations, along with 3 other acoustic guitars, one of which is vintage, and none of the other guitars have any issues. I also had a vintage, hand-made, late 1800's era mandolin stored with my other instruments, and it had no issues. I have loved this Baby Taylor for many years, and I'm heartbroken to discover the quality is so poor. The sound of acoustic guitars improves with age, so a new one won't sound the same. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this guitar.CJ
Oh my gosh I love my Baby Taylor! The koa wood makes it look as good as it sounds. My main goal was to have a guitar to travel with. I have so many guitars, but I wanted something small to take on the airplane. I've always heard great things about Taylor guitars…this is my first. It did not disappoint. I didn't expect it to have the sound quality that it does for its size. So that was just a bonus to me. It doesn't have the deep, full sound like my full bodied acoustics, but it is still good enough to play under any circumstance without being embarrassed. I don't play live anymore, but I wouldn't hesitate to play my Baby Taylor on stage. The case is great too. Compact backpack style with enough padding for protection.BK

I bought this for my daughter’s 10th birthday as she had shown interest. Thanks to AMS payment plans I was able to make it happen. She absolutely loves it. I had planned on dialing things and getting it all set up for her but it was everything but tuned out of the box. Fit and finish are great, you will not be disappointed. This isn’t a toy, but a well made instrument that should last for years. Thanks AMS!!Andrew
Such a great guitar to pick up and just start strumming on my lunch break, no plugging in, just pick up and play. Even when I do have time to plug in and play my other guitar, I still find myself reaching for the BT2. Not sure I can give any higher praise than that. Love it! It sounds great, stays in tune and looks fantastic. Whether playing at home, or traveling this is a great guitar to add to the collection. It is so comfortable and light, it sounds so nice you would hardly believe its' tiny size. Was eyeballing the GS Mini, but the smaller size of the BT2 was the deciding factor, I wanted something I could play comfortably while sitting at the desk in the office or on the couch. Everything about this guitar is perfect for me, it's easy on the wrists and the quality is top tier.

Reviews:
I use this primarily as a finger picking instrument with occasional pick playing/strumming. It is such a beautiful instrument and so lovely to play. Action is perfect and the fretboard feels great (better than the other 414 special edition IMO). Plenty of volume but not over the top. Taylor guitar really shine in their ability to sustain each and every string and for them to sound distinct even when played together. This one does not disappoint in that regard. No negatives, if you can afford it this is a perfect guitar for beginners-professionalsKarmapolice
Having played nothing but a Martin spruce/mahogany dred for a number of years, I was surprised how much I like the body shape and dimensions; the guitar is perfectly balanced without the clunky feeling that you get with certain A/E guitars. The straight acoustic sound is bright, with a beautiful timbre – the plugged in sound had more of a jazzy warmth than a twangy, artificial "get a telecaster" sound. As a lefty, I had to choice between this and the same old stuff from Montana. This is definitely a unique instrument and a testament to the versatility of the Taylor line.gtrlfty
I have always loved the martin guitar and thought there was nothing better. I acquired a little money and wanted a new guitar so I went my local shop and decided to compare. After about an hour I went home so confused about the proper selection and did not purchase a guitar. I was struggling with the fact that I didn't think I would own anything but a martin. I played the taylor 414ce and fell in love with it. I went back the next day with a good friend of mine, that was a good guitar player and thought I would get his advice as he also felt like I did about the martin. He was shocked as I was and said you are correct, It is a better playing and sounding guitar. The cutout does compromise the low tones a little but all in all, I bought the Taylor. No regretsbuddy532

This guitar excels in low tunings, e.g. open C, C+2 (first string tuned to D), or Cm (1st string tuned to Eb)–it has this dark and intriguing voice from the bass strings and clear, liquid treble. When you fingerpick the sound is sweet and clear; and when you strum, the sound is smooth and rounded. I have had several Taylors (714ce, 514ce, 324e, GS Cedar/Rosewood, and a 314 Ltd), and this one is unique–it sings differently from your normal spruce or cedar top guitars. I know the mahogany is supposed to smooth things out but I suspect it has a lot to do with the combination of the back and side urban ash. The look, what can I tell ya, is simple and elegant at the same time. Try playing one. Just be prepared that you may want one.JB
I was excited to get this guitar. Mahogany top plus new urban ash as a builder's edition. I was stoked. The builder's edition finishing and beveled arm rest, cut away, and edges was so, so comfortable and the finish was amazing. I wanted so badly to love this guitar. But the tone was just not what I was hoping for. Mahogany is usually warmer in tone to me than spruce. Maybe I got a funky specific guitar, but I wasn't a fan of the Urban Ash. I finger picked, flat picked, chorded with rhythm, and ran riffs. I couldn't hear the high end for the bass which is so much opposite from any other Taylor I have heard. I'm not a huge fan of the typical brightness of Taylor's where the high end drowns out the bass. I took this back and traded it in for the standard 324ce mahogany top with Blackwood back and sides and THAT guitar is where it is at! Wonderful balance of tones and the warmth you would expect from mahogany. I do like the v-brace sustain and intonation. That was great on the builder's edition as well. Like I said, maybe I just got a funky example of the builder's edition or maybe the tone just wasn't for me. If you're in love with Taylor's, maybe it will be great for your collection. I have various high end Martin's, Breedloves, and Gibson's, but I was looking for a great mahogany guitar to add to my collection. The standard 324ce met that and actually exceeded what I wanted.CCC
After playing for over 20 years, hearing hundreds of guitars…you tend to not be blown away when picking one up for the first time. This has happened 3 times in my own playing journey, and the third time was picking this guitar up for the first time. I couldn't put it down. I had shown up to demo a few different Taylors (and a Martin or two) and this was not on the list being considered. After playing a few Grand Concert style bodied guitars (and much preferring it in recent years), I was hesitant to pick up a Grand Auditorium body guitar. They've never been quite comfortable for me to play, and this is a major exception to the rule. Comfort here is top tier, a whole other level. The beveled arm rest, chamfered edges, and beveled cut away should be on every acoustic guitar. It creates a "slim" feeling while maintaining the full body size and scale length. Incredible, to say the least. The tone that pours out, the dynamic ability to play loud and immediately transition to softer, tactful playing…it's honestly mind blowing. This guitar sits right in between the "midrange" that Mahogany is known for and the "brilliant highs with deep base" that a combo of Spruce and Rosewood typically brings. The pairing of Mahogany on the top, with the Urban Ash sides brings the best of it all. Warm tone, but shining top end with great low end delivery. You don't miss a thing when it comes to sustain either, the notes can ring for what seems like 10 times longer than it should. The clarity within the decay is unreal. The fretboard and neck? Smooth, comfortable, wonderfully shaped. The feel of the satin finish? Divine. The Gotoh tuners? Insanely accurate and fine in rotation. The setup out of the box? Literally, perfect. I couldn't have asked to find a better guitar after looking for a new acoustic for the last few years (replacing a Martin 000). This was the one. Will
18. Taylor 312ce – Natural
Product Details:
Beautiful taylor 312ce acoustic/electric in excellent condition. it was my #1 acoustic until i got my new taylor. i played it a lot, and took very good care of it. it sounds great, plays beautifully and comes with the original hardshell case. it has a few very small dings (one on the soundboard, one on the back of the neck and a chip in the bottom binding – see photos), so it's not in mint condition, but i rate it excellent overall. frets are like new, fretboard is well-maintained. electronics work great. this guitar is excellent for playing out at writers rounds, open mics, duos and bands. it's clear, balanced tone really comes across acoustically and through the pa. the body shape and size are very comfortable, both sitting and standing. i'd like it to go to a player who appreciates taylors and will play it a lot!
