The product its self is top notch. I use them for spray paint art and the colours are vibrant and deep for the most part apart from like certain blues and pink's for obvious reasons. The low pressure so easy to control. I'd reccomend them to spray paint artists and and taggers alike
Used it to paint my bass guitar, so if using on wood that has already been painted, make sure to rough it with sandpaper, taking care to remove all of the glossy varnish coat if there is one. The rough surface allows the spray paint to adhere to the last coat. I gave the wood 5-6 light coats of paint, allowing around 15 minutes between each coat. It's also advised that you use these in warmish weather at the very least, in a well ventilated area (I sprayed outside). All in all, great product, vibrant colour, would recommend!

I work in the toy industry and spend a lot of time painting prototypes. Gold is notoriously difficult to work with in water base form. I use the shortcuts gold leaf as a base color and tint as needed with an overspray. The Chrome is essentially silver. They go on in nearly one coat, dry nicely, and look great. As for the other colors, I've never used them, but I know that the plastic cap color never matches the actual paint. Here are some tips for anyone who is interested. Primer the surface white first if you want the colors to be brightest, spraying on dark surfaces causes the color to dull. Sand the surfaces of smooth/glossy objects before painting them. The paint will adhere better and is less likely to chip off. Don't spray too much on the first pass. Spraying too much at once will case drips, do a pass, let it dry and do a second coat. Don't hold down the nozzle the entire time, spray in short bursts (and not too close), this helps you disribute paint evenly and avoid drips. Happy painting!Emily1987

I purchased this product to seal watercolor ornaments that had been hand inked with gold details. I was pretty concerned that any finish would discolor my work but the Krylon worked a charm! I was worried a matte finish might dull the gold watercolor detailing which was a high luster so I chose the satin and it gave each piece the perfect amount of shine without looking shellacked. The can sprayed fairly evenly however, I did find it best to start my spray pattern off to the side of my work and then pass over it to avoid any large droplets from landing on the surface. What I liked about the Luxury Plasti Dip was the depth of metallic flakes & how easy it is removed if you make a mistake or in need of a color change. What annoyed me the most is my surface had a slight indent & it stood out like a severed thumb! Then I realized that there is little you can do to fix it. This luxury plastic dip is slightly better at coverage and definitely has an authentic metal look to it if layered correctly, 5-7 light at first then medium layers. I used it to sort of black out a chrome letter badge. Good prep is important as is masking area if you don’t want to rub off overspray as it can mildly scratch surface if you scrub. This is some really nice paint in a can wit terrible spray tips. Whats worse, is that I've bought rustoleum cans at 1/4 of the price with way better tips. Had to add extra layers just to cover the hard lines left from the edges of fan pattern. Even with super light coats, it still leaves heavy on he edges. I don't know what the other people are griping about. If they're not happy with the performance or results, then it has to be user error… either in preparation or application or both. I use Quick Color paint exclusively, in preference over other brands, regardless of purported quality. The "secret" to a good finish is thoroughly clean material and an even coat of primer first. Sanding alone doesn't remove all wax and oils. The object needs to be blown with air and wiped thoroughly with a solvent. I use rubbing alcohol. Then – several built-up light top coats of color turn out best.Mark Gannam

I bought a can of the Behr flat black spray paint from Home Depot. I thought Behr was a good brand and the price was reasonable. I used this on the knobs and window hardware for one of the rooms in my house. Previous rooms used a different, slightly more expensive spray paint and it worked beautifully. Unfortunately, Behr spray paint is tacky and not smooth or finished once dried. It's runny so there are drips, it's not opaque so you need multiple coats and since it's so tacky, particles stick to it. I'm probably going to need to buy a finishing spray or something to make the hardware usable (feels like sandpaper). Very disappointed. Used Behr gloss black paint + primer on a wooden chair. Looks great but the smell is overpowering even after it’s dry. Sprayed the chair outside on a table covered with a drop sheet. The table absorbed the smell as well; haven’t been able to bring it back into the house. When I tried, the paint smell filled the whole house. No idea when I’ll be able to use the actual chair! (It’s sitting in the basement) If you’re sensitive to paint fumes or need to use the item soon after painting, choose another brand!PaperD
This was just what I needed to spray a large mirror. I used Rustoleum before and it was a nightmare. The can quit working like it does everytime. BEHR paint was smooth, no runs, you do have to follow distance instructions, it coated evenly, dried in a reasonable time. The price was more than fair much less than Rustoleum that I will never use again! This is the one! My go to from now on will be Behr!Michelle55
