I’m pretty unimpressed with this spray paint. I liked the color, but the “paint and primer” feature was not strong enough for my project. I was painting a few small black picture frames, but 1 can ended up not being enough so I had to buy a second. The second can was defecting and sprayed splotchy and dripped paint everywhere. I ended up having to sand down the spots and drops and repaint with a different spray paint. I noticed some splotting with the first can as well, but not nearly as bad. I wish I had just started with a different separate paint and primer.Katie
The only reason this got two stars is because my chairs were absolutely gorgeous for about a month! I love the depth of color this has, and it was exactly what I was looking for! I bought a set of wicker chairs second hand that were a hideous pink. Instead of sanding, I scrubbed the chairs with a good degreaser and a brush. I did a black primer black on them first, then coated them in this lovely paint. They were stunning, especially after i added the recovered chair cushions! I smiled happily every time i saw them on my deck for about a month. Then they started flaking. The paint is less than a year old, and the paint has flaked off horribly… you get some flakes on your clothes every time you sit on them. I definitely wouldnt recommend for furniture use!Bethany
Oh my!! This is some strong fumes! Mine did tend to spit as I started and stopped it. Perhaps it should have been shaken more. It does spray at any angle! I'm just going to keep away from it though, due to the intense fumes. If you get it, be sure to keep the workshop doors open and a fan to pull the smell out and definitely wear a mask.Mac

Item title and description specifically say a "SATIN" finish. Totally false. The finish is flat as flat can be. I wanted satin for durability. Flat paints are notorious for showing every little fingerprint or rub mark…Painted the exterior of our gas fireplace and I can see every little finger print (shows up as satin ironically) or mark from where I gently rubbed with a cloth. I had sanded the wood smooth with 400 grit. Shook the spray can for 2 full minutes. Not only was there inconsistent, if any gloss, but both the white and the black left a very, very rough surface. Many of my crafting projects involve adding a final coat to preserve paint color and any other details I've added. I like to make tile coasters. The problem I've encountered over the years is that sprays are either 1) noxious in their odor, 2) spread unevenly, 3) aren't exact waterproof or heat resistant, and 4) bubble up, leaving a finish that isn't so smooth. When used outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, the Rust-Oleum product dries quickly and evenly. Usually, I apply three thin layers to my projects, giving them 72 hours to dry. This is by far the worst paint I have ever used. It doesn’t go over other rustoleum paints. I started with a Rustoleum grey color, when I ran out I thought I would go more metallic. The can was wrong when it said that it was compatible with other paints. It’s hard to sand, and peels very easy. In addition it is very hard to get an even coat. I wanted to paint a brick fireplace which separates my dining room and living room so I ordered a couple of cans of this. I am happy with how it turned out, and that this product covers as well as it does. Note that I also purchased some black paint for some cabinets and that the black paint covers more, and better, than the white paint, meaning you will use less of the black paint than the white paint to cover the same object or area, so make sure to buy enough of the white paint for your project. Another thing you should be aware of with the white paint, which I really didn't notice that much with the black paint, is that a fine over-spray goes everywhere and gets on everything around the area you are painting, so you HAVE to be sure to cover the area around what you are painting rather well, or be sure you paint outside or where you don't mind there being over-spray. I spent about an hour scrubbing the floor around my fireplace because I didn't bother covering anything. 🙂 The picture is from before I was finished with the project so you can't see how it turned out, but I wanted to show the over-spray on the floor, and I have yet to figure out how to include more than one picture.LilMsTexas
I loved this color and the brand ! It coats really well. I painted an old chair and it looks so good that I want to paint a bookcase that i have as well. However , I do recommend 2 coats of paint . One is not enough to aquire the exact color of the can. Everything I have ever spray painted has required 2 coats.Elizabeth

I bought 2 of these to do a project. The first one didn't work very well and wouldn't spray so luckily I had bought another one only to find out it was no better. I have barely used any out of either can and can't get either of them to spray. I have used spray paint before so it wasn't that I didn't know what I was doing. I now have an unfinished project. I had sanded the wood smooth with 400 grit. Shook the spray can for 2 full minutes. Not only was there inconsistent, if any gloss, but both the white and the black left a very, very rough surface. I purchased this product to seal watercolor ornaments that had been hand inked with gold details. I was pretty concerned that any finish would discolor my work but the Krylon worked a charm! I was worried a matte finish might dull the gold watercolor detailing which was a high luster so I chose the satin and it gave each piece the perfect amount of shine without looking shellacked. The can sprayed fairly evenly however, I did find it best to start my spray pattern off to the side of my work and then pass over it to avoid any large droplets from landing on the surface. It seems like I am CONSTANTLY painting something. If it isn't indoor walls or furniture, it's outdoor garden projects. This is easily a favorite paint for both indoor and outdoor projects! I originally purchased this to restore my outdoor patio sectional. LOVED IT! it was incredibly easy to cover the metal and the textured finish looked amazing! It didn't fade or chip all Summer! What really sold me, however, was its magic on my indoor furniture. I had an entryway piece that was a cheap, manufactured wood that has chipped around the edges. I was just going to throw it out but had extra paint from the patio furniture and just decided to give it a go. Wow! It covered the manufactured wood without an issue and made the piece look so much nicer/more expensive that I kept it! It was the year 2014 and I had just renovated my house. The furniture looked so filthy that I wanted to sell it but I had spent a lot of money already that I couldn't afford to buy new furniture. The kitchen cabinets were looking so ugly and dirty with marks and rust all over that I wanted to get a cover for it but my friend suggested that I get it painted instead. I asked the price to get it painted and they were charged about $30 which was too expensive and when I inquired the price of this paint, the price was so less that I thought I should paint it myself. I started paining the first cabinet and left it for 5 hours to dry and it looked really good as if it was brand new. It took me 5 days to paint all my 5 cabinets and the kitchen was looking perfect after this and whoever came to my house to see the changes I had made kept praising me for getting the cabinets painted on my own and my neighbor asked me about this metallic spray paint and herself purchased it from a nearby store. She was confused of how to use it but it's so simple that I had just to explain her the method of painting and she got her car and other furniture painted with this spray paint. great easy finish for welded projects as it effectively conceals small cosmetic defects like grinder marks. Much better than satin black. Looks as good as any factory finish and requires no primer on clean metal. When applied to worn, scratched and nicked previously painted items it's like an instant refinishing. If the old paint is well adhered and compatible (test in a small area first) this stuff is magic. Surface roughness and scratches pretty much disappear.anonymous

I use Kreylon colour master paint as my go to paint to touch up my Rv frame to prevent it from corroding and I'm impressed with the quality of this paint. Also it's a good paint to have around the house as a all purpose paint, it's good for wood, metal, most plastics wicker, glass, ceramic, masonry, paper and fabric. Just make sure you clean you surface and scuff it with a scotch brite pad and the paint will last for quite some time before showing signs of deterioration. The paint is super easy to apply and since it dries within 10 min it should not run, just make sure you apply a light even coat, let it dry and re apply if you find lighter area. I recommend this paint for around the house, it's ease of use and it's versatility makes it a winner.
