I'm really disappointed… …with myself for not buying one of these years ago. The sound of this thing is incredible, and so easy to set up. I've gone from lugging 2 heavy speakers, the stands and a separate mixer to this all-in-one system. Not only is it much easier on loading / unloading, but there's no faffing around with complicated soundchecks and extra wires. it really is that good. If you're a singer & guitarist doing pubs, bars and weddings, this is a great bit of kit and I can't recommend it enough.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Great PA system for the money. Loud, crisp, clear sound. Easy to see knobs in the dark. Bluetooth connection makes it easy to play backing tracks from the phone. Easier to clip on and.clip off the mixer and the storage shelf. Fairly light too. I had an older , used Yamaha Stagepas 500 series which I used for years. I like this series. I was pleasantly surprised at the power and clarity of the audio from this system. All the channel controls work great, and the effects options sound good. It's nice to have the bluetooth option and I appreciated the extra inputs and outputs, including the 1/8 inch stereo input and the monitor/sub woofer outs. I paired this system with the Yamaha NS-SW100 subwoofer and I'm really glad I did. If there is anything to complain about with the system, it is that the low end isn't as full as I would like it to be, but not unexpected in a smaller speaker. The sub filled it out really well and was easy to connect thanks to the dedicated subwoofer output. Bottom line, I feel as if I got really great value for the price!James

We got this system to replace a Fender portable 150 Watt PA. The new Fenders lack controls. This thing has more inputs, much better controls and the sound is outstanding. The people watching on our internet broadcast noted immediately that the sound was much crisper and clear. The speakers are heavy but really good sound.Robert

I generally play with one other person through this, but occasionally we get guests who either sing or need to plug an instrument in. This can accommodate all of us and we use the BT400 not the 600. We use a Mackie thump speaker out of the subwoofer port which helps with fullness of the sound, not that it's bad to begin with. The only amp we used to bring along with our old PA was the bass amp but don't even need that anymore. Awesome sounding, portable and all the basic functionality you would need for a two or three person crew. The portability is awesome, we only use when when we play out as we have a dinosaur Peavy PA for practice that stays where it is. I use this Yamaha as speakers for my computer if I know we have a lot of time between gigs. Awesome for just playing music or trying karaoke at home too. If you're going to be playing a passive instrument through channels 5-8, you're going to want a booster.Matt

I perform mostly in small to medium settings and have a wide variety of PA systems/set ups. I wanted to scale back to as minimal a system as practical since I decided that hauling around heavy speakers was no longer an option I wanted to continue. I have a Fishman Line array, that has been a staple for me and I added two of these little gems, which really filled out the sound well. During a blow out sale, I purchased a couple Fender (MAUI LD) line arrays and after a few performances, couldn't get a good sound out of them. The Kustoms sounds MUCH warmer and smoother than the LD's throughout the sonic range, and although not quite as loud (volume-wise it was surprisingly close, and not enough to warrant the hassle difference), so I got rid of the Fenders. I was hired by a local Historical Society to perform in a small setting and went with the two Kustom PA50's with my iPad plugged directly into the input provided. I didn't bring or use a mixer and I got endless compliments on how clear the sound was. I then tried out this minimal set-up in a local restaurant that is fairly wide open (overlooking the ocean). Again, the sound spread was amazing and crystal clear. I wasn't 100% certain those in the rear of the restaurant would be able to hear the sound as clearly as towards the front. But that turned out NOT to be the case. My ONLY complaint about these, is if I use them and try and use the speaker out from the Kustoms into the Fishman. For some reason I've yet to figure out, even though the Fishman is powered (and shouldn't pull from the Kustoms), there is a distinct drop-off in volume and degradation in the sound quality of the Kustom speakers. When I unplug the Fishman, the volume and rich sound of the Kustoms rebound immediately. This isn't an issue when I use a mixer, but I have grown fond of the simpler set up and use the Fishman only when necessary.Higmo

I play in an acoustic duo and an acoustic trio act. Usually small venues: wineries, breweries, restaurants. Occasionally outdoor parties and festivals. There are many shows where even my 10" powered speakers on stands take up too much space. These Kustoms are compact enough that I can set them on a chair, on a table, in a corner or on the floor near the stage area, even without a stand. When I look at them, it's hard to believe they weigh almost 15 pounds. But it's the heavy magnets that deliver thumping bass response for a speaker this size. And the other reviews were right: they are screaming loud. I could cover a large hall with 300 people with 2 of these. EQ'd correctly, there is very little distortion, even at high volumes. I have to adjust the channel inputs and master volume during a sound check to find the sweet spot, but that's a 3 minute job and well worth it to get the clearest sound. They are very versatile. Three channels. XLR and quarter inch inputs. I can plug mics, instruments and an ipod into a single speaker, or any combination of inputs. This means they serve as an emergency system if the mixer ever fails. They have an EQ and volume adjustments for each channel. They can be daisy-chained for an easy PA or monitor system. They even have built-in handles: a nice touch not often found on speakers this small. I purchased two of these with the intention of using them as stage monitors. After using them live, I will probably buy two more and replace my 10" powered speakers with these. The sound is not quite as sweet as the 10 inch powered speakers (which sound like a home stereo) but they are darn close. And at the types of shows I play, everyone is usually talking and I don't need concert-quality acoustics. They do not tilt back at an angle for use as stage monitors, but that is easily remedied by simply placing a small wedge like a door-stop under them. I first got one in 2016 to play solo gigs. Got another one about two years later to expand for a duet. Just ordered another one to use as a monitor. Chaining is easy and sound is full (add a sub if you have live bass instruments going through them). They've always worked for me through over a hundred gigs and they are incredibly versatile. There's a reason why they're rated so highly, Kustom hit on the perfect little box of sound formula. One of these will do a small room, up to fifty people. Two of these can produce enough clear sound for a small theater, up to maybe 100 people. Four can create enough clear volume for small outdoor concerts, maybe up to 250 people.Nomadyag

My use: light sound reinforcement for small gatherings such as weddings, conferences, parties, outdoor movie nights with the kids, etc. I'm a big fan of JBL products, and this is no exception. I wanted something small, portable, like a Passport, but with a more grown-up sound. So the 208P is a perfect fit. The system sounds nice and full as is, but I plan to add a sub to fill it out even more. Having bluetooth is nice too. I do, however, wish that the bluetooth channel had a dedicated volume knob, rather than having to control the level from the bluetooth device. I've played my Les Paul thru it, my classical/electric thru it, sang thru it & listened to YouTube thru it. This EON is incredible. The 8" speakers put out ear-piercing 300 watts of sound. Plenty for any backyard party or indoor party. The setting which includes reverb balance it all for any tone you want. Even though you can play your electric axe thru it, the EON is not designed for this. The Les Paul sounded too bright, even after adjusting the EQ settings. You can get by if you need a quick plug-in to work on a song with out plugging into another amp. Each channel has its own settings. The EON is very portable & snaps together nicely in a suitcase-style fashion, making it easy to carry, set up & take down. The headphone input is nice & puts out great sound, just like the speakers. I keep the mixer & speakers apart in the bedroom for solitude practicing & listening to YouTube. Then, I just snap it all together & go. when I discovered this had Bluetooth, I was sold right there! You can play along with any song thru your mobile device. The Bluetooth does not interfere with my XViVe U2 wireless transmitter & receiver. Vocally, the sounds are awsum, too. The accompanying AKG vocal mic works brilliantly! The speakers have a 38mm pole socket for mounting onto speaker poles for maximum outreach. They're also light enough to sit on any cabinet or table. The 2 speaker cables, wall cable, AKG mic & mic cord all fit in a nice, stow-away compartment behind the mixer. Bottom line: I recommend this for any singer-songwriter, DJ, or party host. Overall: I purchased the LR BAGGS Synapse Personal PA system about a year ago and I could not be happier. It's great for my solo acoustic performances. (Acoustic guitar/ukulele and vocals.) Wether I am playing a venue for 200 people or a small setting for 5 people, indoor or outdoor, ambience vibe or full concert vibe…. it just adapts to each setting perfectly. I truly feel it does all the sound worrying for me. As someone who's been performing as a professional musician the last 13 years and been on stage as a performer for 31 years, I really value not having to worry about the sound and technical issues and just fully be able to focus on my performance. This is something I truly appreciate. Not to mention how simple the set up! Just plug her in, set your dials and play. The reverb quality is outstanding. The ES-210MXBLU-ST Portable PA System came up as Musicians Friend "Stupid Deal Of The Day" so I decided to get it as a wedding reception DJ "insurance policy" backup to my main system. I set it up right away in my living room for a test run and have to say that I'm pretty impressed. I'd have no problem at all doing a gig with it. There's plenty of of power packed into this little system and it sounds pretty good actually with decent bass and clarity. The bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone is a nice bonus and I'd be very confident doing a separate setup for a ceremony as well. It's a complete package right down to the mic and cables. I like how the cable compartment and power amp/mixer snap into the back of the speakers for easier mobility and compact storage which also will protect the knobs. Cons: *The speaker stands are pretty bad. The tripod legs don't tighten at all and that's potentially very problematic. *The knobs (Volume, Bass, Treble …etc) wiggle a bit, feel fragile and cheaply made.Seaside Jimmy

I purchased this to use for small educational animal business, in which I routinely perform to groups of up to 500 children, both indoors and outdoors. Several of my customers have this same setup and allowed me to use theirs in the past, so I knew this was what I wanted. I've just started using the one I purchased, and I'm very pleased so far. Despite being a complete noob with this type of audio equipment, this system is easy to set up and use and the instructions are clear. The quality of construction seems tough and solid and the sound quality is nice and clear. I haven't messed with the settings much, so I haven't explored the full range of the unit's capabilities. The only things I would change are the nonskid pads on the bottoms of the speakers (they are stick-on and two of them popped off when I moved the unit across a carpeted floor), and a couple of wheels on the bottom would make transport much easier. Overall I am very pleased, and when we need to add a second PA system I'll get another one of these.Michael

I've been using one of these for band rehearsals and smaller venues shows like at restaurants. It's easy to setup and dial in. It's a no frills unit, no FX. For us it works great. Our drummer is really loud and we get pretty heavy into it and this has enough volume. You have to speakers up on stands at head level though too.Ryan

What happened to The Fender Passport 150. I was one of the first to ever have the Fender Passport 150 bought about 18 years ago. I turned on about 100 professionals to using it. After 18 years it finally blew out. My purchase of the new replacement 175 Conference is a weak substandard version. Doesn't have nearly the the same umph! My 150 I never went above 1/2 way on master. Now with the Conference I have to go all the way to get a mediocre less powerful sound. Why do companies have to keep messing with perfection. Shame on Fender and their CEO for allowing this to happen. I'm searching for a competitive product.Rich

I was excited about using the Roland BA-330, I did a lot of research on it before purchasing. I liked that it has battery capability and that it seems compact. It has plenty of channels for performing, and a few effects. But it was too heavy for me to lift to put up on a speaker stand by myself. It clipped regularly at not 35-40% volume, and sound became fuzzy. (I'm a solo acoustic performer, was using it in a fairly quiet restaurant, so I was really surprised by this.) My husband said there wasn't enough low end, even when "clear" it was fairly sibilent. I played with the eq/volume, etc. knobs, could not get the result I desired. I was disappointed by the sound quality and the weight of the speaker.S.L.S.

I am 69 years old. I have been a practicing musician for over 50 years. Needless to say, I have had just about one of every thing when it comes to PA systems. I even currently own the very new and highly acclaimed. Turbosound IP 2000. I bought the BA 330, because I need something east to carry around. It is light and I love the handle on the top, which allows me to carry it with one hand. I practice in an empty garage with a 12 foot ceiling. This Roland beautifully does everything that it is supposed to do. Very nice sound all around. I usually use a mixer, but found I don't really need one, now!! I make my own tracks and and play them thru a Roland cd/sd recorder, which sits on top of the BA 330. My microphone is the Heil PR 22. Can't get any better than that for simplicity. I replaced two Roland Street Cubes with this one unit and boy am I ever glad I did. Very portable and being powered by eight double A batteries, I'm totally independent of electrical service needs. Between this BA330 used with a battery powered harmonizer and wireless guitar/headset mic, man, I've got people staring with their mouths dropped open. My volume can reach for blocks with plenty of headroom left. I can be "neighborhood wide" and my gear sounds clear and strong and even makes ME sound nice with an amazing amount of ease.. Thanks AMS!!! American Musical Supply has made it possible for me to own the finest gear I've ever had. From my Martin D-41 right down to a complete electrically independent sound system, man, they have treated me like Clapton and all with totally interest free financing. The new model PA system SAMSON XP300B is professionally designed and well built. Playing some rock music for family and friends is my hobby. I am using the system mostly at home to amplify and mix simple keyboard and vocals. The system power is more than adequate for this application. It fills with quality sound the 1000 Sq Ft area of our first floor. Others in their reviews were mentioning about the noise from the cooling fan of similar systems. I do not have any issue with such noise. It is similar to the noise from a fan used in Deck top computers. the System is very portable. The two speakers and the mixer join nicely together in one unit for transportation. For the size of the speakers the bass output is sufficient. The Speakers are of high quality. The System has an input for a subwoofer. Adding one of about 200 watts RMS will benefit the lower frequency sound greatly. I love the effects. Using an effect on the mic highly improves vocals. I have owned a Sampson XP308i, which is only 300 watts, but has excellent quality. I began having an issue with it and found out they were no longer being manufactured. So I decided to move up to the XP1000 which had a superior amount of wattage to my little XP308i. But wattage doesn't tell the story for this unit. It is way under powered as it has no more power for volume than my little 300 watt unit. All the Sampson's have the same horn, but the XP1000 has a 10 inch speaker rather than the 8 inch in my smaller PA. But once I got it on a performance, and as a singer, the microphone settings had no treble only bass. So singing with this unit is not so good. The Bluetooth is excellent with its own volume and tone settings. This unit may be very good for speakers who want music playing before their speech or after through the Bluetooth, but if your a professional singer, this unit isn't recommended by me.TK

I have only used this twice. Both times it sounded great. The first time 2 vocals and a guitar. The second a vocal and digital piano. I run a mixer for this as just plugging in directly does not sound good. I had to play with the sub volume a bit but once I got it dialed in it was perfect. I have set this up behind me and slightly off to one side with little feedback. Easy to correct with a mixer. I purchased this as there are speakers in both column pieces. As a pianist my previous column didn't allow me to hear myself as the speakers were only in the top portion. This allows me to hear everything. Yes the tweeters are on top, so I get mostly midrange and bass, but I don't need a monitor. This unit is very well built, and slightly heavy. Very little plastic. The specs tell you the weight.Mark D.

These produce clear sound without compromising portability. Good for crowds around 100-150. They are quite as loud as the ev50, but you make that up with clarity in the audio quality. Separating the columns is tricky and needs to be greased/ worked to get a part. You may need a partner to help you initially to get the columns apart. I bought this to do karaoke, it sounds great in my house and I feel like it will sound even better in a bar. I’ll update my review after that. I took off 1 star for the time being because when I was hooked up to the Bluetooth playing music. I turned it up and one of the tweeters made a funny noise. I really think the quality of sound you run through it makes a difference. Bluetooth is not as good of a quality input as my computer into my mixer out to the speaker.John L

Definitely good for a quick and easy portable PA system that can run from rechargeable batteries. I haven't test the charge length deeply yet but seemed to run for an hour or so with no problems. The bluetooth works fine. At 40 watts you're not going to fill a concert hall but for a small room it should be enough for speech or background music. The sound is overall good but seems a little lacking in midrange with that "scooped" feel with bass and treble controls to scoop it even deeper so it sounds a little hollow to me. Bass is good, especially for the size and weight. Its not hard to carry and the luggage arm and rollers make it even easier to move around. There are two downsides to me. One: the gain structure allows it to drive into ugly distortion very easily. With no trim before the mixer channels its easy to overdrive the unit at the input stage before even getting to the master volume. Both the channels and the master seem to go into distortion at around the half way position. This is simply a design function that makes it seem louder than it really is. Like "Listen how loud it is and its only up to 2!" But then you realize that you are right on the verge of distortion so 2 is really more like 8 should be. So just be careful with gain settings and you'll be OK. The other minor quip is that the knobs seem pretty cheap and could break off easily. One reviewer had that happen with a fall. Again, just be careful. If you need something easy to setup even without AC power around that sounds way better than the average bluetooth speaker this will work for you. If you are street musician, this would be perfect. Just be careful with those volume settings.soundcrafter

I am rating the Behringer PPA2000bt that I recently bought on ebay. This system is very powerful and sounds much better to me than my older set up which included a powered 10" AMD 15" Behringer speaker, along with separate mixer by Behringer. The bluetooth allows you to pair this unit up with your phone or music source that has blietooth. It works great but I have not tested the actual distance I can be from this unit when paired. All the pieces fits perfectly together and forms into a huge and heavy suitcase shape. The clasp works fine for storing away but I would not trust when rolling as the wheels are quite small and this wobbles when rolled. I purchased (3) 12" Gator speaker bags which is used to transport the 2 speakers and the mixer bottom part. Good to also get a pair of speaker stands which allows you to place your speakers higher on the tripod stand. Overall this system sounds awesome comes also with speaker cables and a microphone. The only drawback is the weight when all is attached and transporting may be tough by rolling as it was meant to be used. I only keep it attached when storing as it saves space. I found its best to use speaker bags to transport to prevent the clasp from breaking or from this heavy unit form tipping over when rolling. Would be good to also use a foldable wagon to transport if you don't have stairs to go up or down. Hope this helps!vintage50ies

This system was purchased to be used in travelog presentations for our community senior group. The speaker has very good sound and is easy to set up with controls/connections that can be figured out by the average layman. Be advised that it is heavy, especially compared to other units with plastic cases (but don't sound as good). This review gives four stars instead of five because the Ultralink twin microphones that come as part of this particular system were returned (btw – Adorama return process was excellent). Out of the box, one of the microphones did not work (also noted on other reviews on other sites), they were awkward to use due to the complex plus/minus buttons instead of just an on/off switch and the volume had to be turned way up to hear them. Bottom line – get the speaker but not the Ultralink mics.Peter

Overall: I have had a Peavey MK4 PA since the 80's that is still working and decided to upgrade to something new for my solo gigging. I researched several different brands and came back to Peavey for the reason that my old system was so reliable. The Peavey Escort 6000 has a great sound with clean crisp tone. Plenty of power for a solo and definitely would work for a duo or trio. I have also plugged in my Taylor acoustic and run it thru the PA. Sounds fine if that's what you are looking to do although at this point I am still using my guitar amp. The speakers also give a surprisingly good bass response. One thing that was a bonus for me was the speaker cabinets are made of a PVC plastic and when I set up with the speakers in front of me I can hear myself from the back of the speakers. Never could before with the old pressed wood cabinets. I can now adjust my monitor to get a volume that I can hear myself on stage with my wireless system from monitor center and speakers left-right. Gives me more mobility not having to stand directly in front of my monitor.It did take me awhile to dial it in to my "sound" but overall I am pleased with the results. I didn't spend much time with the built in effects or EQ. I have a vocal effects system that I patch in already. The unit is easy to set up and speakers are lightweight. I didn't bother with the included stands. They are the smaller diameter and flimsy and I already have a pair of the heavier stands. The speakers do accept both sizes. I did make sure of that before I bought the system.The bluetooth works well as does the thumbdrive. I put in a set of music in a thumbdrive to run durring breaks.Only one minor thing that I can say is a problem for me. The plastic clasp design to open the doors where the mics and cables are stored keeps pinching my fingers. Overall I do recommend this system.Bill

I was looking for an all-in-one system that could be brought to events and small performances with the criteria of being durable, clean-sounding, quick to set up, and able to fill large areas of 200-300 people with breathing room. This unit met all of these easily. For sure there are less expensive options out there but it's the old adage of "you get what you pay for". The only two things that are more irritants than deal breakers are because the speaker stands are more like mic stands, they feel somewhat shaky when the speakers are mounted on them. Fortunately, I have standard speaker stands that these speakers can mount onto so it's not a huge issue other than not being able to carry the stands inside the case. Secondly, if you purchase the optional stand for the mixer/amp, it's advertised to fit inside the case along with the speaker stands. Well, they do…if you have the patience to fiddle and adjust the position of the stands for half an hour to get it to just fit right; otherwise you can't close the case. My guess is that the overall case was originally designed without these stands in mind. However, since I don't carry the included speaker stands in the case, it's not an issue for me. However, if you plan to, be prepared to have a lot of patience if you want to carry all of the stands inside the case.RJ

I purchased these a few months ago, and they are now my favorite portable speakers. They are great for the size/price, and better than most of the competition in this range. Especially at lower volume levels. Only oddness I noticed is that the 3.5mm stereo jack seems to have a much flatter sound than the same source going via splitter to the RCA jacks. Just a note if your setup includes anything with that as a source.AZKeyboardist

My use: light sound reinforcement for small gatherings such as weddings, conferences, parties, outdoor movie nights with the kids, etc. I'm a big fan of JBL products, and this is no exception. I wanted something small, portable, like a Passport, but with a more grown-up sound. So the 208P is a perfect fit. The system sounds nice and full as is, but I plan to add a sub to fill it out even more. Having bluetooth is nice too. I do, however, wish that the bluetooth channel had a dedicated volume knob, rather than having to control the level from the bluetooth device. Amazing compact array speaker. I have the JBL EON One and just upgraded to the PRX One. I went to the GC store to test the ElectroVoice Evo50 and the new bose L1 por 16 head to head, and ended up chosing the JBL. The JBL PRX One is head and shoulder above all three AND is the cheapest of the lot. It also has a mind bogglingly comprehensive digital mixer included AND a FX/dbx unit built-in! The whole thing can be controlled and set up to death using the new JBL app. Be prepared, it is very comprehensive and you really need to know what you are doing to get the best out of the digital sound processor. When you do, the sound coming out of these little speakers is absolutely amazing. Crystal clear highs and deep bases. It replaces much heavier Sub/Satellite combos, AND my portable mixer, AND my portable dbx processor. My favorite setting is the "auto-learning" AFS unit (Anti Feedback Suppression) processor. It allows you to speak in the microphone right in front of the speaker with zero feedback; it is absolutely fantastic for weddings when guests grab the mic and start singing on the dancefloor! I have been a QSC man for many years. Recently we have been booking a lot of extended travel wedding trips and I found myself in need of downsizing my system without sacrificing sound I spent about a month researching various column array systems and came down to either purchasing a pair of the JBL PRX One or the RCJ Evox J8s. During our previous road trip I was fortunate to find a GC that had demos set up of both units, several other array systems, and the QSC speakers that I was currently using. The QSC speakers I was using were quickly knocked out in head to head tests. The JBL and RCF were head and shoulders above all the other array systems as well. In a head to head the RCF and JBL were equal as far as sound quality. The JBLs did get a bit louder than the RCFs, but I didn't feel that they were $1000 a pair louder. The construction of the RCFs felt a bit more durable as well. The thing that pushed my decision over the edge was the fact that the arrays fit inside the back of the woofers for transporting. I needed to downsize and the RCF took me where I needed to be. I have done 3 weddings with the RCFs and have no regrets in buying them. Would I recommend the JBLs? YES! If you are not in need of downsizing to the smallest possible system, spend the money and get the best!Michael

FIRST let me say, I'm a professional singer/guitarist who was looking for a cheap way to expand my venue sizes. I make HALF my living on my gigs, and Ive been doing it forever. Now about the system. Mixer is not bad, but it is in no way 2×300 watts. My Fender 90 watt acoustic combo amp is easily as loud while running both vocals and my martin guitar thru it. Effects aren't bad, but get muddy if you add any bass at all. Bass speakers seem to be pretty fair without effects, but hard to believe they are 15 inches. Cabinets are light, and inputs are ok. Doesn't appear you can daisy chain them which is a disappointment. The 1" titanium tweeters are only minimal quality. I was very surprised to find that decent peizo tweeters are clearer and stronger. "The World Famous Mics" might word ok for spoken presentation, but for singing they are not sufficient in quality to give good clean sound across the vocal range. The speaker and MIC/XLR cords provided are poor quality and I had to use the Behringers I already had, which made the mix sound much better. So WHY would I recommend it??? The price warrants some easy/cheap upgrades such as cables and mics. It is an entry level system that would serve a garage band well. The cabs look strong enough that little by little I will replace tweetersand woofers as they blow with better quality, one piece at a time. Bluetooth response is good and would be great for mobile DJ. The stands included are portable and well made. My guitars, a Martin acousitc electric and backup Ibanez Artwood acoustic sounded pretty good thru it, and the effects worked well with the system too. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for, and if I run a line out to a powered monitor, this system will serve me fine for now. I gave it 3 stars for this reason. Even so, in my book, if you sell a system as COMPLETE, everything should be up to at least standard quality.goldenruleguydale

Right out of the box I was surprised how high quality this system seemed. I'm not a sound guy per se, but I feel like I could easily pull off professional gigs with this system. The sound is good and very clear. The bluetooth function is perfect for playing things from your phone, and it worked with no issues. The mics seem really heavy duty and they sound so good! Great for Saturday night karaoke jams. The line-in input works great for hooking up a DJ mixer or the electronic drum set. This system exceeded my expectations!mattyd723

I have owned a plethora of Behringer speakers and I am generally a huge fan of their products. For some reason this one fell short. In comparison to the 300 Watt variety, this speaker doesn't pack as much punch as it should if it is boasting 1000 Watts. I owned and extensively used a pair of the older variety which were active and had on board 300 watts of power. Those old ones were BASSY, packed an enormous punch for the wattage. I never even needed a sub when I had that pair of 15's. With this newer model, the on board amp begins clipping almost immediately after turning it up half way. What is the use of a speaker that can't even be turned up past 50% without risk of damage? On top of that the treble has massive volume compared to the low end. I saw on the specs before purchase that the 1000 Watts are supposedly split with 700 to the woofer, 300 to the horn. Well…I'm not sure what went wrong, but this woofer sounds weak in my opinion. It doesn't even have HALF that bass response that those older ones had, when the older ones were only rated at 300 Watts. I'm very confused as to why this is, as the speaker seems to operating as intended. Adjusting the EQ balance on the back of the speaker, or on the mixer doesn't help, as any adjustment to offer more bass into the mix has the speaker immediately showing the "clip" light again. I have no idea why, but where I am normally more than satisfied with Behringer speakers, I am seriously let down by this one. I understand that in most circumstances, these speakers are intended to be paired with subs anyway. That's fine, I just hardly ever use my systems in large enough environments to require subs, and up until now, haven't needed the extra push on the low end. Perhaps this is a way to force us to purchase more products? Making the low end inadequate? Who knows? I'm going to write completely positive reviews about all the great Behringer speakers I've had directly after finishing this one. Unfortunately, this model is a fail in my opinion.Levi Kitchen
