1. Marshall Mg30cfx Guitar Combo Amplifier
Product Details:
Classic marshall sound from this 30w solid-state combo amp. the amp has 4 channels (clean, crunch, od1, od2), 4 built-in effects (chorus, phaser, delay, octave), and a built-in tuner. the clean channel has a surprisingly nice tone, and other channels are exactly what you'd expect from a marshall amp. it also has an aux input for backing tracks and a headphone jack, making it a perfect practice amp that can still get loud when needed. amp is in great shape and has that classic marshall look combined with modern carbon fiber finish. has been gently used for the last few years, so there's a few small blemishes, mostly on the back cover as shown in the last picture. great amp for beginners and small gigs. i've used it as a practice amp for years and had a lot of fun with it. nothing beats the marshall tone for classic rock or metal.

Reviews:
I have a 2003 MG15DFX and wanted the newer version with 30 watts. The max loudness on this 30 watt model is the same or lower than my old 15 watter, and I tried two of these new in box. The four channels are nice; you can use either manual or program modes. I don't like that the Tap + Store buttons say "Tuner" yet there is no tuner unless you buy the $75 optional foot pedal. Moreover, the tuner is on the foot pedal but you can't switch it on/off from the pedal itself; you have to reach over to the amp and then press and hold the two buttons on the amp. The reverb no longer has Hall like the older model; it just gives you Plate and Spring. The overall tone is shrill and hurts my ears after about 15 minutes in the same way that modeling amps do. In fact, I suspect that this IS a modeling amp, just not advertised as one. In fairness, it has a fat, punchy low-end and lots of gain. The gain reacts very well to how hard you pick, which is perhaps the nicest feature. New players who like Marshalls will dig this, but I seriously think something like Line 6's Spider 75 blows this thing away for value and versatility. Of the two I bought and tried, the first had a wrinkle in the tolex covering, the second had white paint on one of the knobs right out of the factory-sealed box and the cabinet buzzes when I hit certain notes. Both have the same low output compared to my old 15DFX. YouTube videos make the MGCFX sound like a dream, but after getting it home I'm uncharmed.Slappy
It fits great for what I use it for. I have other amps with more power and more tone, so I didn't expect it to sound like a Marshall stack costing thousands of bucks. It gets a great sound with the my guitars plugged straight in at low volume or turned all the way up ( which I sometimes do ). I don't bother with the clean channel, it's too hard to get that 10" speaker to sound decent. I used a Super Reverb for yrs while I was an active musician, so I have learned how to tame 10" speakers down and get a warm tone. Not that this amp can do that. I recomend the foot controller so you can program it and use the buttons instead of constantly having to mess with the settings. It took awhile to set it the way I like, but now I have 4 settings I can use at the touch of a button. The tone from this amp is better than some amps I've used in the stores costing 3 times as much . The effects are useless. You don't have enough control over them such as level , mix and speed .I don't use them. I have pedals and other amps for that. It gets good volume for what I use it for, I wouldn't consider taking it to jam with a full band. The quality is OK for what they build today . I own vintage Fenders from the 60's, so I'm spoiled. The materials they use today to build amps is flimsy, you have to treat them like divas. The old amps could take a beating, and they have. This amp is only for mellow practicing, I have others to turn up with, so it stays in the room. If it had to be hauled around, I'm sure the cab would not last. The plastic parts would break for sure too . I got this amp for a great price, so I think it was a great value. I haven't seen another name brand like Marshall with a 10" speaker and 30 watts for that price. I didn't know what to expect but was pleased with what I got for the money I paid. I also bought the foot control pedal, I think it added a lot of value to this amp, 4 programable presets.
I play guitar as a hobby and have a Peavey amp that just couldn't get the sound I wanted even with effect pedals. If you want a good 80's-90's heavy metal sound, then this is the amp. With the foot controller you can store the different stored sound you want, hit the button and you have it. I play at the house so the 30 watt is more than enough volume. I don't need whopping volume so this amp is perfect for me. However the maximum volume should be around 7 or 8. Any volume higher than that has a little roughness to it. This is a GREAT little amp and it doesn't bust your bank account. I've had the amp 5+ months and play it for about two hours a day and have had NO PROBLEMS with it whatsoever. For the money, you get the awesome Marshall sound and quality. I use no effect pedals with this amp and have no problem getting the sounds I want. I don't know why other people claim they can't get the proper sound, maybe they don't know how to adjust the amp to their liking or maybe they're trying to use effect pedals with it. I had to play with it a bit and figure it out but once I did I was in love with it. I recommend it to anyone whom wants an awesome amp that doesn't put you in debt. I highly recommend getting the foot switch too.Rutbuster1

Reviews:
I use this in my basement studio for playing and recording. It has a wide range of very cool sounds and what seems like countless options to combine them (from wild reverb/delay effects to overdrive/fuzz). It's kind of daunting to get a setting you like and remember how to get it again, because of all the combinations of setting options. This would be a great value in a small amp except for two things: 1. Lots of extra noise and hiss (I checked and it wasn't the guitar or cables – I tried several) 2. The "on-off" button doesn't always work when trying to turn it off. I usually have to unplug the 9V adapter that comes with the amp in order to turn it off.Russell

Fantastic amp for the price! The clean channel is great, and has time delay effects that is unexpected for an amp in this range. The overdrive is excellent too, and you can control different frequencies as well. It also has two inputs for guitars, and a microphone input! So you can jam with friends and sing along. At 40w output, it is pretty loud. If you are in the fence, get it! You won't regret it!integrationbyparths1

Reviews:
This amp is fantastic. For someone that is so used to having different modellers, tube amps, multi fx and stompboxes this is now all I need. I've been meddling with allsorts kf gear for 17 years in my search for tone. I feel I am now at the end. Managed to dial in 4 very usable great sounding patches in minutes just using the front panel, something I've not been able to do with any amp or modeller in a while. It djents, it can do blues crunch, it can do straight rock grit, chimey clean, and just big standard chuggy metal very well. It's quite light, but when you turn up the volume you can feel air moving, like you can with a much bigger cab or with a valve amp. For a 1×12 it isn't boxy at all, very open sounding. The Waza speaker is very harsh in the top and highs to begin with when you first switch it on, but after a few hours use the speaker breaks in and the harsh highs all disappear. For someone that has always used Celestion V30's this Waza speaker is just amazing and I'm definitely leaving it as is! The dynamic response to picking and rolling your volume knob down is just how a valve amp responds – light picking = cleaner tones. Dig in with your pick and the amp comes alive. Fantastic all round amp, Boss really have nailed it with this one.
Just picked one of these and it's been a joy to play. Pretty easy to use with quite a few options. Was able to dial in some tones that sound like my $800-1k tube amps. Honestly this amp is the best bang for your buck amp available imo. I really love the Waza Craft Greenback speaker. I love the .5, 50,100 watt options. Haven't even explored the software yet but I'm confident enough in this amp to give it a 5 star already. This of course is keeping in mind the fact it's essentially a budget amp price. You won't regret spending the money imo. Awesome job, Boss. 🤘 🎸Jason Faust
Sound: Right out of the box? I didn’t even adjust EQs. Set volume and gain, and started playing. Took 0 effort to get 98% of the way to my live tone that is an Orange Rockerverb 100W MK2 and Marshall 212 with V30s. Features: I love the Tone Studio. I did have to pull a star from Ease Of Use because it may be confusing if you’re not good with computers. Ease of Use: If you can’t get a good sound out of this amp, return it, sell your guitars, and find a new hobby. That’s how easy getting a good sound out of this is. Quality: Seems pretty decent. I wouldn’t call it robust, but it doesn’t FEEL as cheap as the price would suggest. Value: 100% worth the price. I’d have paid $100 more for it if I’d have known how good it would sound. Manufacturer Support: I’ve dealt with Roland/Boss in the past, and they’ve always been wonderful. The Wow Factor: Looks good, sounds good, price is good. A perfect practice amp, that could stand in for a small venue in a pinch. Naturally my live rig is a bit much for my apartment, but this is just what the doctor ordered. Overall: Solid state amps have come a long way. A REALLY long way. I’ll be honest, being a tube snob, I had very low expectations. I could have set the bar in the same area as I would a $2,000 and it still would have hopped it effortlessly.Kenny

To be honest, when I opened the box and saw the actual size of the amp, I thought, "Save the packaging. It's going back." For the money, there's not a lot here. I have a bunch of low wattage, boutique tube amps – Tweed Deluxes, Tremolux, hand wired Princeton's, brown Princeton's, even the Magnatone Panoramic in stereo. I didn't think this Starlite would make the cut. Then I plugged it in. Holy cow! This thing is a blast. Absolutely killer tones. It rips. It cleans up well. It's inspiring. It handled my Strymon Flint (reverb / tremolo) in the front end beautifully. I doubt an overdrive pedal would improve the natural break up on this little dude. I didn't bother. I just used my volume knob on the guitar. If there a more dynamic, low wattage amp that won't rob you of your hearing, I don't know about it. I couldn't stop playing it. For the bedroom / living room guitarist, it would be hard to do better. It doesn't need to be loud to do it's thing. But it does seem to be a robust five watts. For the gigging guitarist, I think if you're mic'ed up with a good mix in the monitor, you'd be more than happy. I'm going to mic it up for rehearsal this week. If that doesn't work, I'm going to try my Boss Tube Amp Expander in to a bigger speaker cab. I'm motivated to use this. But if I can't, this is definitely going to be my go-to recording amp. It's Tweed-y, it's Deluxe-y, it's even kind of Marshall-y in the Bluesbreaker sense. Most of all, it's just fun. They dropped the price on these. Get one while you can!
Sounds more beautiful than it looks.Kevin Goodman
I have several rehearsals and a few gigs under my belt with the Pano. I feel confident that I now know it well enough to write a review. The first thing I'll say about this amp, and it's true with all the Maggies I've played, the EQ section is more dynamic in its range and curve than your standard Fender variant. You have to spend time with your guitar of choice while twisting the tone controls on this amp to understand. This is a very clean amp. But it's not exactly "clean" in the JC or Twin Reverb category. It's super clear and defined with a hint of grit that goes where your pick attack and playing dynamics want to go. If you hit harder, it responds perfectly – but still maintains its clarity. Sloppy players will be revealed. Clean players will be rewarded. Note and string definition is just stellar. The Pano is also much louder than every other 12-watt amp I own. If you want a ton of clean headroom in a 2×10 stereo format, this is hard to beat. It doesn't break up on its own until you're well in to the upper decibels. Honestly, that tube saturated break up occurs when it's too loud for the folks I play with. A good drive is pedal is essential for playing rock or blues. However, the vibrato is so good, I tend to leave it on more often than not and adjust controls accordingly. It does surprisingly well at adding that extra harmonic distortion that inspires you to play your best. You may be able to leave the drive pedal at home. If you're a classic country player or playing pedal steel style licks, this amp is probably all you need – for pedal steel, it's better than my Twin. (But I'm a student level steel player so buyer beware on that bit of advice.) The reverb and AM / FM vibrato are beyond fantastic. The stereo spread certainly helps. The stereo field isn't huge like running two amps but it's full enough to take notice. If you're in the sweet spot in front of the amp, it sounds "amazing" with the vibrato pulsing. I used quotation marks because I really mean "amazing". It's truly panoramic. Just like a hi-fi system, when you leave the sweet spot, you can't detect the stereo imaging. As a pedal platform, it's a lot of fun. I run a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo in to it at the rehearsal space and wow, pure joy. It's addictive. However, at this price point I would prefer the option of an effects loop but that's not really a thing in the 12-watt world. Ultimately, the Pano is a very different amp, a very good one. I see no resemblance to tweeds or Princeton's as some have mentioned. I see even less resemblance to the Vox or Marshall sound even though it's an EL84 based amp. The Pano is it's own beautiful thing. It truly is a high fidelity experience. Advanced players will be rewarded.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my best friend. The seller shipped and it arrived in a very timely manner. The product feels good in my hand as if it's made from good craftsmanship. My friend was confused at first as to what it was when he opened it, but when I explained the item and he plugged his guitar into it he loved it. All my other friends thought it was cool when he opened it and said that it was unique and hadn't seen anything like it. We sat in the living room while they all passed the guitar around and tried out the amp which sounded really good for being so small. The item turns on automatically when the guitar is plugged in. My friends said they liked that it had a vintage sound to it. Tried this item with a bass and it didn't work too well, we'll stick with a guitar ha. Thank you for a well-made product.Marco G.
It's a bit of a novelty; at this size you're not going to get the sound of a Marhall stack. But it's perfectly functional and I love it as a cable connection tester for doing complicated FX chain wiring. There's a decent clean tone at very low volumes, but I wish those lasted a little farther up the volume control. Otherwise a very nifty little piece of gear.Steve
