Reviews:
Sound: It's a basic looper, but the footswitch allows to stop with one tap. All I need for acoustic show. Overall: I purchased the RC-1 for my weekly acoustic shows to replace my RC-300 that I purchased several years ago and love to use, but after lugging up three floors for a show at a wine bar, and the fact that I don't even use the 2nd and 3rd tracks for acoustic show, I decided the only thing I really need for most of my acoustic looping was just one track. In no way could I get used to double-tap to stop, but I have my FS-6 footswitch that works great to stop the RC-1 with one tap AND I can move the footswitch a few feet away so I don't have to be 'perfect' on the stepping like I would the Rc-300. I would still use the 300 for rock/electric shows, as it has mega capabilities, but for my acoustic show where i just usually either want to loop the solo section, or the entire song, this little inexpensive RC-1 works great, and the $100 price justifies the purchase.
For a compact looper pedal this has, great features. The deal breaker is the circular led panel. While this pedal functions in a basic way the led tells you exactly what is happening and where you are in you loop. That knowledge makes me far more confident to use it live. You can end the playback and erase the loop silently or pause the playback and use it again – useful if a lead break is later in the song. You record the rhythm part, pause it and start it later on in the song. There options for adding extra pedal to control things but I found I got on OK without them. Basically a solid looper with a useful display that is, easy to read in a live situation. The trick to silently erase is to double tap and hold the second tap. Stops instantly and the erases a couple of seconds later – this isn't clear in the instructions.David M.
High value and quality! Maybe not for the touring professional who needs every bell and whistle, but for beginners or intermediates it's a really solid feature set and great quality at a price point that is just a hair over the price of some much more basic units. Spend the extra $20 and get a pedal you'll love! Loopers are super fun, this one is no exception. There is a learning curve but that's more on the player than the pedal. (If your timing/coordination are not on point, a looper, like any recording method, will really highlight that.) Would highly recommend to anyone interested in a looper for fun, creativity, practice, comping, improving over your own backing, even for pro use if you don't need the fanciest bells n' whistles.Steverino

Reviews:
Having owned other loopers, I have always been frustrated by how they make you conform artistically to what they want to do. Not so with the RC300. This baby is pretty much fully customisable so you're only limited by your creativity…rather than by the looper! It's not obvious from the write ups on it but you can unsynch all the tracks if you wish, so recording verses, choruses, middle 8s, etc of different measures is not a problem at all. That's what I struggled with before but not now. It is pricey but it is very well built and the sound quality is A1. I'm glad I made the leap of faith and bought it! Cheers!Joe H.
As a still semi young bass player of 20 years and live musician of 12 years I’ve only non looping for two years. And knew very little about the format and fun looping could provide. But through some research on a great site American music supply, I found the boss rc300 looping station and fell in love with product. It’s understandable format setup makes it easy to use right out of the box and with full book included any Q&A is right at your fingertips. It has three separate tracks with their own separate volume control and settings options. So you can one-shot all or loop all tracks or one-shot them all or set a separate track or two, to just be a one shot track. There are many great features to the boss rc300 I enjoy. I would highly recommend this product to all musicians who had an interest in looping. Or In General.
This is by far the most useful looper I've ever owned. It's big, but it's very sturdy and it's pretty easy to get the basics down. I'm glad I bought and I have been gigging with it a lot so I haven't felt any buyer's remorse yet. You can also pretty much customize this thing to make it do exactly what you want it to do. I would've given this 4 1/2 stars if that were an option. I hesitated to give it 5 just because it was so expensive and also because the GUITAR>BASS function is complete and total garbage. I was really hoping to use this to add basslines to my loops but it just ain't gonna happen. Those are the only cons I have ran into so far. This is much smoother and easier to use than the RC20XL and The older boss single pedal I used to have ( i cant remember the model right off) It's an excellent tool for writing and jamming at home. It's got lots of drumbeats and what not to jam to. Most are too cheesy to use live but they are fun at home. There's still lots to learn for me but I love it so far. Gator makes a bag that MF carries thats about thirty large that this thing fits in nicely. I bought it after a guy on youtube recommended for this pedal and he was right. You will definitely wants something to carry this thing in. It's big, heavy and expensive.JC

Reviews:
This pedal was fairly cheap, and it does work, so I dont want to knock that part of it. However, The sound quality is terrible. I saw one review that said, after three or four layers of sound it starts to sound muddy. I feel that was an understatement. A single play back loop sounds muddy to me. Ill still use it to practice with, but Im not very impressed. Save your money, and buy a better quality looper.guitarded5150

Reviews:
Very easy to use and built like a tank. I had to watch a few demo videos to learn how the controls worked and interacted but it didn't take but a few minutes. Playback quality is very good with tons of storage for created loops. My only issue is with what Boss calls "Drum Tracks". There's only 10 of them and their sound quality is piercing. You can load your own via the usb connection though. Also, it only stores wav files from external sources so converting songs you only have as mp3 etc. to wav is an extra step I could do without. I might just be nitpicking because otherwise it's a great looper with more features than most people will ever need. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.ethan1957
I bought this to compare to my ditto pedal. Its not nearly as simple to use, despite what people say. Okay, it might just be me, but the ditto is more intuitive to use. After you record the first loop, it automatically begins recording the overdub. With the ditto, it goes to pause when you complete a loop. So, yes, its a Boss pedal and built like a tank. But for me, its 50/50 with the ditto. You have to make your own decision about this one.jonaha650
Have been nothing but pleased with the Boss RC-1 loop pedal. I currently use it in conjunction with my Digitech RP1000 and it has really allowed me creative freedom while practicing. I bought this since the RP1000 only has a 20 second looping feature, while this one can go as long as I need. I like how you can easily layer riffs on top of one another, delete when you make mistakes, and stop altogether with just the stomp of the pedal. It's amazing. Nothing else to say. You will not be displeased.lmeach00

Reviews:
I have rarely relied on a loop machine in my 33+ years of performing music. I've had a DigiTec JamMan for a long time but found it too difficult to co-ordinate short phrases into a piece. I used it more with sampling of ambient sound than musical phrases. I've only had the Boss RC-500 for a short time but already find it much easier to use. I haven't even experimented with the percussion aspects but I can see great possibilities. I'm a great fan of Boss and Roland. They make quality , well thought out, aids for musical expression. What a creative company they are, indeed!Ralph
Have not used it live yet. Still getting friendly with it. There are a lot of rhythm patterns to choose from but many of them are very similar. Some of the functions I would have thought would be accessible through MIDI are not, but there are ways to work around most of them. Overall it seems like a great unit for a moderate price. The sound quality is very good. One disappointment is that I had the impression you could download rhythm patterns to replace the ones you don't care to use – you can't download them as rhythms, only as backing tracks. Look for the reference manual (not the owners manual) and study it before you buy if you have specific expectations.Glenn K
I decided to buy a looper last year to use primarily for practice, and for easily capturing ideas and riffs. I settled on the Boss RC-1 and it performed great. The biggest limitation was only being able to capture one idea at a time. I started looking around for something with more memory locations and I found the RC-5 as an upgrade. I am blown away by the included drums and the device's ability to determine the tempo. As a tool for capturing multiple ideas and being able to back them up to a PC, this is perfect. I haven't tested the midi capability yet. I could easily see using this in an actual performance in the future. It's pedalboard-friendly size makes it very easy to carry around.Joe G

Reviews:
First off, I didn't have the latest firmware update, and loops were going a bit wonky and astray. With latest firmware and most issues solved, I'm finding this an absolute joy, particularly with the fuller, less 'in the box' sound that looper tend to get when you pile lots of loops on top of each other- so much space and headroom. I came from the RC300, but was still a lot of work to get my head around even setting up as before, but worth it in the end. Particularly useful to the way I loop are the 4banks of 4 effects which I can now preset for each song, and scroll through with a foot pedal with so many fewer clicks than previously. Okay, slightly weird what floats the boat of a looper, I know… but, less clicks! Also loving that I can assign 3 of the 4 effects to my violin (INST in) and 1 to my MIC in. Didn't think I'd be bothered by the 3 extra loops, but now I've less effect clicking to do I'm finding that loops 4-6 do get used, and arrangements are getting more varied. It's also physically smaller, and saved me taking extra pedals – really important and so damn useful for me, when travelling. A fabulous piece of kit. PS: I'm also so enjoying the 6 outputs, too – it's solved a long-standing mic and inst out of the same output dilemma.
I really like it, the sound quality is great has a ton of options and features and many customization abilities. In the back of the unit you have a lot of different inputs and outputs which is great you can connect many of your instruments and pro sound system as an output.Anonymous
I've had an Rc505 for a year or so now and was excited to get my hands on this RC600. The floor setup is great, although you can't quite do everything with your feet. With a shoe off you can do most of the functions with a toe, but you still have to bend over to mess with it. The included drum loops in this are a massive upgrade from the RC505. Tons of character and room to play around with there – even settings for fills etc at the end of loops. I've only had this two days, so I'll update my review after some more time with it, but so far I feel like it sounds better, the extra instrument and mic inputs are a huge boost, and overall it's been pretty easy to use coming from the 505.Sterling

Named for the number of total seconds available in its 20 memory banks, the electro-harmonix 1440 is a stereo phrase looper pedal designed for electric guitar and other instruments. it provides a digital signal path for your loops, recording and playing them back at uncompressed sample rates and resolutions of 24-bit / 44.1 khz, allowing you to store your loops in 20 different, selectable memory banks. also provided are capabilities for unlimited overdubs, undo/redo for deleting/restoring your last pass, half-speed and reverse effects, adjustable fadeouts, and an analog dry-through pass for your uneffected signal. the pedal offers a level knob for controlling the loop's output volume, while led indicators display record, play, fx, and memory modes. your dry signal will always remain at unity gain, and while you're adding overdubs, you'll hear no loss of volume to previously recorded tracks in the loop unless you adjust the overdub control, which dictates the level of the overdub. a stereo signal path is provided, giving you two 1/4" input jacks and two 1/4" output jacks. should you wish to control certain parameters of the 720 stereo looper from a compatible, external footswitch, you can do so through the 1/4" trs foot-control input jack. midi sync'ing your loops is also possible over the 5-pin din jack. all your recorded loops remain in their memory banks until you manually erase them, and you can upload your favorite loops to a compatible app over the mini-usb jack. the app is free and available separately. the pedal includes an ac adapter.

Just what I wanted. Good price too.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Craftsmanship: The usual EHX tank-like build quality, but the small illuminated buttons feel flimsy and unstable. This is a downgrade from the larger illuminated buttons found in the other EHX loopers. The display screen and the push encoder feel solid and good quality. Sound: Sound is excellent. Operation: Basic looping is great, you just need to get used to the overdub triggering on switch release. MIDI sync works, but it needs some work. Some combinations of settings work perfectly. Some cause sound glitches. Record start on the first measure only is unwieldy, especially when closing loops. The effects are great but the way they work seems counter-intuitive to me. Features: As far as I know, 1440's combination of features is unique. Some of the main selling points for me were MIDI sync, loop decay and the ability to store loops – no other looper can do all three in this price range, you need to spend over double the money if you want all that in one device (even the new BOSS loopers don't have decay function). There are of course more features than that, including an app for easy file transfer to and from your PC. If it had a rhythm option it would be great, but I don't think EHX ever did that in any of their loopers. Price/Performance: As said already, if you want this specific feature set there is nothing else anywhere near this price. If you don't care about this exact combination of features it is still a good price for a looper that goes beyond the basics.
9. Electro Harmonix Nano Looper 360 Pedal
Product Details:
The electro harmonix nano looper 360 guitar pedal gives you the ability to record up to 6 minutes of loops. this can then be spread over 11 selectable, independent loops, that remain in memory until you erase them. all audio is uncompressed meaning your loops will sound every bit as dynamic and full as you intended. unlimited overdubbing means you can experiment as much as you need in order to get your perfect loop. the undo – redo function also means that you can erase and regenerate loops hastle free. when not in use the nano looper 360 maintains a pure analog signal path with no interference. the interface of the nano looper 360 gives you easy control over loop on/off, level and loop number controls. the led advises the user when transitioning through loops and indicates if a loop is recorded on one of the 11 loop tracks.

I'd be all over this pedal if it were in stereo. It's a high price for this item. Love the fact it has a bank you can store samples. I use the Akai Headrush for live settings but as I rely on accurate delay tempos to be looped on the Akai there becomes inconsistencies live so I've been shopping for a looper that is small, stereo and stores loops. I actually run two combos, one is dedicated to my looper. I understand if stereo were an option it would take away from you wanting to step up to the next Looper offered by EHX. If the price were lower on this though I wouldn't buy it since stereo is a need for me. I'll be looking at the Jamman Solo XT next since it's 15 USD more and offers storage and stereo. In the end that maybe to minimal of a looper for me too. Wish the akai had that needed storage….BurningRome
There's not many reviews on this so I thought I'd add mine. The pros of this unit are it's small, it runs on 9V power like most other pedals, it saves several different loops so you don't always have to re-record a part you like to practice over (it's the only looper in this price range that does that), it has 24 bit playback, and it's super easy to use (I figured it out without instructions). The cons are small in my opinion, but they include you are limited to a total of 6 minutes of loops (but you can either have 1 X 6 minute loop, or 10 X 36 second loops, or any combination of time and loops that add up to 6 minutes so not much of a con in my opinion), there are no additional features (such as a drum machine, metronome, or speed control), and there is no way to save a million loops and transfer them to a computer. Some negatives from other reviews I was able to overcome include the volume of the loop being lower than when you first play it is solved by the loop level knob (I was always able to get my loop level as loud or louder than my source signal), the apparent pause as the loop starts over is overcome by working on timing (once I figured out when to hit the foot switch I was able to create seamless loops). I researched loopers and this one had the features I wanted (small size, low power consumption, ability to save loops, 24 bit play back and easy to use). Other features you may want to consider not on this looper is the drum machine, metronome, ability to play half speed or backwards, and ability to save loops on your computer and transfer onto the looper (all of which are absent from this unit). Hope this review helps.Super J
Really great to get this so quickly, I love MF service! So this loper has high end EH sound quality, totally transparent. Easy level control makes it easy to get playback (loop) and live signal volumes adjusted. It is also easy to fit into any board with it's standard size. There are, however, some issues you should be aware of. On and off functions require single, and multiple taps on the switch. While playing you tap once to start recording a loop. A second single tap begins an immediate replay of the loop. Very cool! If you want to delay the beginig of the loop (such as you recorded the chorus, and need to play the verse again before using the loop) you must double-tap the switch. Awkward for me. I never was a dancer. The second issue is common to all loopers, but I did not consider this prior to using it. This concept is perfect for single channel amps with only outboard effects. With a plexi or bandmaster it is flawless. With a multi channel amp or effects….. You record a loop during a rhythm portion of the song on channel scratch with no reverb, punch the button, switch to the overdrive channel with reverb for the lead!!!! NO! Now both signals will be overdrive and reverb. Common to all loopers, but something to note prior to set-up. As long as this is "last in line" effects wise and you use a single channel during playback, it works perfectly. Other issues to be aware of include it must be powered to pass signal. No passive operation is available. To switch loops you must bend down to the pedal board, awkward. Six minutes divided into eleven loops means around 32 seconds per loop if you try to use them all. Reviews:
Early days but, so far, I love it. I already have a Ditto Stereo, so I knew what to expect. This was really bought for the 'stop' and 'fade' functions for live performance, but I really like the ways that the two loop functions can be used together. The real test will be when I get a chance to use it for a gig.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Does everything you want from a high quality loop pedal, and a bit more. Basic compared to some of the more complex pedals out there, but having what is basically two high quality single loop pedals in one that can play in parallel or series gives you so much more scope for creativity in your loops.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I truly love the design of this product, don't get me wrong. But the dedicated stop switch is lacking. You have to double tap the stop to truly stop the loop, otherwise it plays until the end of the loop phrase and THEN stops. For a pedal advertised as "the guitarists looper" it seems more geared towards being midi synced with a sequencer, which is great if you overlook the fact most guitarists are unfamiliar with midi and are usually uninterested in using drum machines and sequencers. As a veteran looper, I realize the biggest problem is making loops on time. I've gotten pretty good at looping on time, but the occasional live screw up is still pretty hard to avoid l.With my boss rc20 I would simply record the entire verse, press stop instead of play when I get to the chorus, and solo over the verse after the chorus section, effectively avoiding off time loops altogether by never reaching the actual end of the phrase where the sort of "sound seam" of a loop is, which is always totally noticable if you're not perfectly on time. With the Ditto x4 it instead of incorporating a true dedicated stop, Tc electronics assumed everybody has a metronome sequenced to their looper and designed the stop to work such as that of a sequencer. This is a pretty unbelievablly stupid move in my opinion, considering this pedal is geared towards guitarists, not EDM DJs. I'm not your average guitarist, so I actually am interested in its midi applications. I'm not saying it isn't a neat idea to have midi sync on a pedal, but the pedal shouldn't revolve around that feature. I've been working on finding ways around the lack of a true dedicated stop, like getting good at double tapping on time. Pretty annoying to have to do when the thing has four buttons. Also, they should have made one of the effects simply a dedicated "undo" function. But the design? Perfect. Perhaps they could issue a software update to fix some of the bugs. I would be really happy with TC Electronics I'd they did.Bloth Wood

I have injected a new lease of life into my creativity after getting this pedal. It is great for getting a full sound for your ideas whilst writing parts to songs. I do both acoustic songs and stuff with my band and it works for both. The drum projections are really good, however, the bass doesn't always come through how you want it. It's best on a simple setting, which you can change with the press of a button. It is incredibly user friendly, and you can get good results really quick. I imagine it can be used in a live setting, but it's definitely catered more for the likes of writing songs or practicing playing to a band. If you write, I would recommend adding this to your tool box. Worth the money, absolutely!
Nothing is perfect so a 5-star rating on most anything isn’t very useful without critical review when trying to make a purchase decision so I would give it 2.5 stars if I could. The Trio+ concept was a good idea but in my view poorly executed and way over priced. Like many have already said, it is not generally easy to get a good result from the Trio+ Even after a few weeks of getting to grips with its functions. It’s hit and miss mostly when using it and mostly miss. “Sometimes” you can get “fairly decent“ results after multiple attempts but often the result is unusable. Their SDRUM product while not a looper provides better drum/bass accompaniment with much less fuss, is much easier to use and less expensive. The SDRUM coupled with their JamMan looper is far more intuitive and provides usable good results most of the time. I own both products and I use the SDRUM almost always instead of the Trio+. The trio+ just doesn’t live up to its cost or hype. Sometimes it works ok but just ok. If you get the results you want then maybe it’s for you but in my view I couldn’t in good faith recommend it to a friend so I definitely would not rec to a stranger. My advice is to get an SDRUM and if you need it get Digitech’s stand alone Looper to sync with it. That combo isn’t perfect either but far more satisfying and predictable to use. I do not recommend the Trio+ to anyone.Dennie
Wanna jam? No other players around? This dingus provides a competent backing band to solo or compose over. This gizmo does it all. Loop a phrase, play over it, start the band, and start on your extended musical forays. As satisfying a pedal as I've ever encountered. I've coveted owning this since the product debuted many years ago.Lou P.

Ok. There are a bunch of different looper pedals available these days with a wide price range. I wanted a simple ( budget priced) looper to lay down ideas on the fly and groove over my rhythm. So..i put a microphone into this and record my rhythm into my Peavey mixer and jam away. I did notice that running this into my simple tube mic preamp (behringer w/ lower gain 5751) made a huge difference on the final sound. For the price of these little pedals…you can't go wrong. It even has a power supply included! Seems to function just like other loop pedals I have owned. Get your timing right ..start-end. Playback. Layer. Buy it!jammin_joemusic
Operations are not intuitive. Very frustrating, high learning curve. Too many possible setting selections to be done in a certain sequence. Reminds me of my first digital electric wrist watch instruction sheet. " Press 1, hold 2 for 3 seconds, press 1 once more, press and hold 1 and 2 once for each display item, press twice to delete, once more to set default…" Try to remember that each time you want to set the time or alarm. However—Once I learned how to use it, I totally love it. It's like a miniature recording studio. It will only accept a 1Gb or less memory card. Anything larger will not work. It has an input for both instrument and microphone. Most others only have one. Knowing precisely when to end recording takes a lot of practice. If not done exactly right, the playback loop will not be complete. I always start recording with the bass line, no vocals and always use the metronome, mic off. Once you're satisfied with that, you can overdub to your hearts content. I would recommend writing down exact initial startup settings for the mic and instrument volume knobs. That way, you can control recorded levels for vocals and instruments. If you are recording a song with dominant guitar presence, raise it a little before you start recording. If you want a soft harmony vocalin the background, lower the mic volume before starting. You cannot change individual track levels once they are recorded or overdubbed.ron6253
I've owned a Jamman Solo for a few years now and haven't spent much time with it for various reasons. When I finally got to spend some time, it was not that easy for me to use. I watched some You Tube videos on how to use it, which got me going faster than trying to read the manual, and I was overdubbing with ease on the factory pre-set loops. For some reason, which I haven't had time to figure out, I cannot create my own loop from scratch. I follow the directions, but I cannot even get started. The drum machine is hard for me to set at the right tempo. I know I need to read and reread the manual a few times to get there, but haven't been able to make the time. Another problem for me is being colorblind. I have trouble seeing the color(s) of the light(s) to know which mode I'm in, etc. So, today I decided to buy and try the JamMan Express XT. I can return it in 30 days if I don't like it, so I have nothing to lose. Other than getting my timing down, which I figured out fairly quickly, this thing is so easy to use, it amazed me. I created a loop, then added some overdubs and had such a great time with it in such a short time, I think I already know that I'm going to keep it. I wish the JamMan solo was this easy. I want to create some loops for keeps which cannot be done with the JamMan Express. I cannot wait to surprise my bass player next week when I can create a loop on the fly, add some overdubs, and we can jam along with it. I don't think us using a drum machine will hurt my creation of loops with this thing, it is incredibly easy to use compared to my old JamMan solo. Unfortunately, the JamMan solo is an older model and it does not have the sync inputs, but that won't stop me from using both, once I figure it out. I recommend the JamMan Express XT to anybody just getting started with using a looper pedal. The learning curve, mostly the timing, should not be too bad and as the Digitech Rep says, you can grow with it. If I find the need, I wouldn't hesitate getting another one. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can't save loops like you can with the JamMan Solo.joeprs
13. Keeley Eccos Delay & Looper Pedal
Product Details:
The eccos delay looper this pedal has been used about 5 – 6 times, its a bit too complex for my simple mind. however, and most importantly it's been looked looked after. i have never gigged this pedal and it is in great condition. the eccos delay looper is based on a new stereo, flanged delay tone. create beautiful sounding tape style delay lines and then spin them endless with the looper! designed to be at home in live pro rigs or bedroom studios while experimenting. the keeley eccos is a delay-looper workstation with superb sound quality and abundant features. there are even more functions lurking within eccos super-sturdy shell, like sound-on-sound recording capabilities and a runaway feedback oscillator, but, alas, not enough space to talk at length about them here. suffice to say that if you re prospecting for classic analog delay colours alongside authentic-sounding studio flange effects, and dig the convenience of easy looping, the eccos is well worth mining.
Specifications:
Reviews:
Im switching from a TC Electronics Delay x4 to the Eccos. The Eccos takes up far less pedalboard space and the tape-flange-modulation is a new color to explore. (I have other dedicated loopers, so its unlikely I will use the looper potion of the Eccos pedal.). Sound quality is exceptional. I will miss the TCs reverse delay… but maybe Keeley will add it in an update? Love the stereo functionality. Now… what goes in all that pedalboard space Ive opened up?andy_rox
I own several delay pedals which I primarily use for my synths but I was looking for a much cleaner crisper sounding delay for my guitar. I know that a lot of people love their Strymon pedals, (I do own several) but I prefer the ECCOS over my El Capistan for my personal usage in the area.ADAM
The more you play with it the better it gets. Bought it for the flanged delay (can get John McGeoch sounds with it) & going series or parallel but the looper and reverse functions are great. reversing phrases just sounds so much cooler than reversed delay. For a pretty standard pedal size it does a LOT !Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
Very similar to the Ditto Plus, I personally have to have 2 stomp buttons on a loop pedal. Ditto,Electro Harmonics, and this MXR Clone looper would be my 3 picks for good loop pedals. Had this one for 2 days and really like it so far, I have been playing for 25 years, had tons of effects and consider this pedal very important on my pedal board, and loopers are a ton of fun along with being a great self gig tool. Great product so far!!Chuck
I grabbed one of these as soon as I was aware that MXR had brought a Looper to Market. The implementation of the half and double speed options + reverse using external tap tempo switch is a brilliant idea and works flawlessly. Expression pedal control for Loop volume is also a great feature and works perfectly. I was putting this thing fully through its paces in about 5 minutes without ever looking at a manual. Then I walked away for several hours with the looper powered on . On returning, the loop that was in memory had become a garbled, distorted digital mess. No controls would function on the pedal. A quick power off and it was back to normal. Use it for an hour, walk away for several…same thing. Ugh. My other Loopers don't exhibit any weird behaviour like this, you can leave them on for days on end. So, I returned it to my local GC and got a new one from the display case. Got it home and the green LED is dead and will not indicate playback. Ugh. Drove across town to another GC , picked up a third one. So far, this one isn't exhibiting any weird behavior, even after leaving it powered up for several days. If it proves to remain dependable, I would give this 5 Stars easily. I guess I better remember to send in that warranty! Even with the bugs (early batch problems?) this is an excellent looper at a great price point.KevMo
Very simple operation, but good list of functions. MXR pedals, like this one, are built like tanks and will last. I have had looper pedals that had too many features and as a result turned the joy of just playing into a complicated mental exercise and we all know what that does to the creative process. Two button operation makes this pedal just right for recording multiple layers of loops. Easy to remove the last take if you are not happy and want to do it over. Thoughtful feature that gives you a count in so you know when to start playing.KyMusic

Reviews:
My first loop pedal, so I can't really compare the Nux with others, but it seems pretty good to me. It could use more foot pedals so that some of the push-button functionality could manipulated while you're playing, but there's an option to connect another pedal anyway, so that's covered really. Pretty easy to use. Seems solid. Has a pretty good sound quality. Only thing I dislike would be the simplicity of the drum tracks, but I didn't really buy it for that. In all it's pretty great value. I did a lot of searching, and this has a lot for the price. Especially like the enormous record capacity with 99 presents you can save to. I'd recommend it.jamesingl0
This is heaps of fun to use – easy, foot switch is very fast (microswitch), sturdy casing – I wouldn't stomp on it too hard because I reckon the microswitch could wear eventually, but it's definitely a quick pedal. Came with a battery so you can try it out straight away. Nice and tidy, I really like this pedal. I don't regret it at all. Time for some fun!psylink2008
16. Stage Right By Monoprice Lp3 True Bypass Looper Guitar Effect Pedal With Unlimited Overdubs And 90 Minutes Of Recording Time
Product Details:
Looper pedals can be both a fun and powerful addition to your board. they are great for developing song ideas, creating a backing track for practicing solos, or helping you create interesting sections or effects for use on stage. the stage right lp3 looper delivers the same fun and functionality of similar higher-end units at a fraction of the cost. featuring three tracks for recording, the lp3 provides virtually unlimited overdubs and up to 30 minutes of recording time per track. its minimalist but intuitive design means you can create loops in seconds, without compromising any features or functionality. simply connect the pedal, step on it, and begin recording. press the pedal again to playback your recorded track and press it again during playback to create an overdub layer. you can delete previous layers (with an undo function) and can save all layers into a single track, giving you a powerful and easy to use loop recorder.
Reviews:
I'm a bassist so not huge into the whole pedal game– this little looper is wonderful to play around with. As some other reviews have said, you definitely lose a bit of tone going through it when you record and playback. The build quality is rock solid and feels great. I wouldn't gig with it due to the tone issues/ tinniness of the playback but for the price, it's a great practice tool to mess about with. I have been playing it through my Acoustic B100 amp with a MIM Mustang Bass with Split PJ pickups and the drop in sound quality vs going straight in is noticeable. Nevertheless, this will stay in play for bedroom jams for a great deal of time to come.Ryan
This looper is great for the price. I like how it has the three tracks to select from for pre-recorded looping. My biggest problem is that it doesn't seem to actually be "True Bypass." The level control still adjusts the clean volume even when not recording or playing back. I also feel that the recorded playback is always louder than my guitar input. I wish I didn't have to do a volume boost on my guitar or volume pedal just to match the playback volume. It results in more tap-dancing than I would prefer while playing and singing. I'll definitely use this for practice, but it probably won't be a permanent fixture on my live pedalboard.Cody
So far so good. A few strange things happening, but I think it was user error. It takes some getting used to, but not terribly complicated, just a little practice. This one had the most features in it's price range and sounds good. Would give it 5 stars, but haven't used it much. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to use a looper pedal, but don't want to spend a lot for their first one. You may find it the only one you need.JM
17. Tc Electronic – Ditto Looper Pedal
Product Details:
Ditto looper is the looper you try once and love for life. and you simply gotta try it. we've taken all that is good about loopers, trimmed away all the non-essential, mood-killing tech hoopla and ended up with a looper that is intuitive, tons of fun, sounds great and doesn't break the bank.

I used this at home with 10 other effect pedals. I really liked the sound quality and ease of use. I was very disappointed when the footswitch broke after about a year or so. Read online this brand has an issue with the switches so that's a deal breaker for me. I went with an MXR delay to replace it because I've had several MXR pedals for many years with great sound and no trouble.Scott
Perfect for practicing. Lay down a simple rhythm loop then you can practice over the top – it's like having an inexhaustible rhythm guitarist jamming with you. Easy overdubs & undos means you can also build up interesting sounds with lots of depth and different sounds. (tip: play your progression through, then without stopping hit the button on the 'one' beat to start recording, then hit it again on another 'one' beat to stop recording/start playing the loop. can be as many bars long as you like – 5 min recording time is way more than I'd ever need!) With only one button and one volume knob it's very simple to use. Many other loopers are so complicated (boss rc-3 I'm looking at you), they take the fun out of just plugging in and jamming. Of course if you need the complication of a drum machine built in to your looper pedal then this one isn't for you). The sound out of this thing is perfect. I use it with many pedals and they all sound great recorded and played back (an analog delay, a few fuzzes, metal zone, overdrive, distortion, phaser, big muffs, small clone, tube screamer) – just be sure to put the looper last in your pedal chain. I'd highly recommended this to anyone thinking about getting a looper. The build quality is great, the button feels sturdy & it's very small. The only thing I'd change about it would be to add the ability to export your recorded loop via the usb, but on this model the usb is only for updating it's firmware. I think the more expensive ditto loopers have this function… but overall I think it's the best pedal I've ever owned!girlbefore

Sonicake is the real deal. These guys design and make solid, great sounding and well-thought-out equipment. This looper is easy to use, compact, and comes with the features youd expect from boxes costing maybe twice as much. Very happy with my purchase and will look to Sonicake for any future needs.jefrey1f
