Best Left Handed Guitar (2024 Update)

Overall: I purchased the polka dot one, always wanted one in the 80's but they were hard to find. So happy they reissued this model. Plays great, ebony neck is smooth & plays effortlessly. Floyd Rose is great stays in tune. Pickups sound amazing. I play alot of 80's hair metal & this is a great addition to my arsenal.

This guitar is a breath of fresh air, something different from my collection of Strats, Les Pauls, Wilshires, etc. I love the looks and the sounds even better. The humbucker modes are strong and tasteful, the single coils are not quite a Strat but different enough to provide a great alternative sound. The mix of both provide lots of options. I have small hands and always went for thin necks especially the Gibson trim tapers but this thicker neck actually feels and plays great. I am amazed by the quality of modern guitars and the success of American builders who provide less expensive options through foreign manufacturing. We are living in the golden era of guitars – Thanks PRS!

I have a Trans Amber Quilt Top and it's not only beautiful, it is fun to play! I took it camping with a little Flamma FA05 amp that can run off a small sine wave inverter that I have. That was so much fun. I have 5 guitars on a Hercules rack but the Steinberger sits next to my office desk where I can just grab it and plink away. It is so small and compact it doesn't interfere with my work stuff and it doesn't bump into things. It sounds great through my Orange amp and Boss ME80 when I want to kick things up. The people who moan about setup and the like need to spend a little time and learn how to tweak the setup which on the Spirit is really EZ to do. And once you dial it in, it stays in tune and properly setup for a long time. Got a little fret edge? Use a fret file and take it down. Done deal in 10 seconds. I have never understood peeps that don't want to maintain their equipment from start to finish. Oh well. The pickups are fine for ordinary purposes. The single coil is a bit high and maybe low output which can be annoying but I learned to live with it. You can always take it out or replace it. The humbuckers are solid and reliable. No complaints. The whammy bar is cool and can be locked. It stays in remarkably good tune due to the double ball ends. The little leg rest is all metal and has never given me a problem. I did have to tighten the cable jack nut a couple of times but that wasn't difficult to do. The quilt top is really quite good. i wish there were more of it but then the guitar wouldn't have the qualities that I bought it for… namely size and convenience. All in all it's worth every penny of the $400 they are asking.

TBH, I was sceptical. A little over a hundred bucks, how could a guitar be any good? It suffers from cheap hardware, but much more stable and playable than I was expecting. Unbelievably out of the box, this crazy thing was actually playable. How? The pickups sound ok, the strings were reasonable height. No sharp fret edges, the neck was straight, tuning keys aren't great, but they work. I wanted a guitar with humbuckers, since my other guitar is a stratocaster. It feels light and cheap, but everything works. The body style is cool, it screams "metal", but does blues just fine. This is out of the box, with no adjustment. I'm sure it would sound even better with a set of good strings. If it holds up to daily playing, an awesome bargain. Never heard of "Glarry", but so far it's decent.

Solid kit for a beginner. Good sound, good amp. The strap is flimsy and uncomfortable but it's cool they include one in the first place. The bag isnt anything special, I mainly use it to keep dust off the guitar. The bag came with a hole in it, but with it not being the most amazing material I wasnt suprised or angry. The amp is loud and has some nice sound options for experimenting with sound. Nothing too advanced or confusing, which I like being a total beginner. The guitar itself is a nice size. I'm on the smaller side, 5ft 0in, so when looking for a guitar to purchase I wanted something small. The strings are strong and stay tuned. I hadn't played for a few days and when picking it back up I barely needed to adjust the tuners. Overall it's a great kit for the money to dip your toes into playing. Even with the flimsy and cheap material of the gig bag and strap, the fact its included is killer in my opinion. Highly recommend.

Red Burning Fire Combo Pack For the price point, it's not a bad deal at all. The guitar had no real defects (like sprung frets, sharp fret ends, high frets, loose frets, etc.). The guitar was well packaged for shipment – showed no signs of damage by rough handling. Unfortunately, upon opening the package, it was clear I'd been sent a guitar that had been sitting for a bit after being built. It was unplayable out of the box, needing a neck adjustment to straighten the neck. The strings were coated with some sort of build up, as well. And the fretboard was in dire need of conditioning. Having said that, everything was addressable with a string change and quick set-up. After the setup and string change, the guitar plays quite well, having no dead frets or fret buzz. Overall, I would recommend the product to others – with a caveat that the instrument most likely will need a little TLC to be ready to play.

Overall: My 13th Epiphone L.P. since 2006, and second of the new "Inspired by Gibson" series (first was the Standard 50's). I am blown away by these next-level Epi LPs – my 50s was astonishingly similar sitting next to my Gibson Original series 50s goldtop, both asthetically, AND sonically speaking, with only slight pickup characteristic differences. This is also my first SlimTaper neck. Thankfully it wasn't an earth shattering change – we'll adapt just fine. My new tuxedo custom came in at a perfect 8lb 13oz – my ideal weight range for a Paul – especially considering these guitars are coming in with about 1.5# weight swings. Got lucky there. Absolutely no build or quality issues, looks incredible, and is appointed well. It is leaps ahead of the very disappointing Frampton signature Epi I bought last year – my only truly lousy Epiphone. NEVER AGAIN will I buy a chambered Les Paul, in ANY form – all the tone gets totally sucked out! Guitar also came in with a perfect setup, which is rare (even though my setup guy always does a once-over on all my guitars). Some fret polishing couldn't hurt, though. Only concern with this purchase was with the final shipment packaging from zZounds – no packing material in the final carton, just loose box in a box. I think that's a first.

I have had my eyes on this guitar for years but have not been able to afford to purchase it outright. So about a year ago Behringer had a promotion going on with a no credit check, so I decided to take advantage of that by purchasing a powered mixer on credit with no interest. I made the payments on time and successfully paid it off. So after about 7 months after that I was surfing the AMS website as I always do from time to time and I noticed that on my account it said Rockstar no credit check and I called and spoke to a representative from AMS to check and see exactly what that meant and the representative informed me that I was in good standing as far as my credit goes and I was now able to get this awesome guitar that I have dreamed of owning. It is truly stage worthy and it is the best guitar I have ever owned. It has 2 individual pickups that are in a class of their own. One of them is a Shecter custom, and the other is a sustaining pickup. They sound great individually or combined. It is one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen or owned in my life. I highly recommend, which is the one I have, is the black and gold finish. Also I took a chance, not knowing exactly what it would look like, except by a picture on the website, is the PRS ACC-3135 gold guitar strap. When I opened the package and pulled it out and placed in on the guitar it was a perfect match. It brought out the contrast between the black and gold finish like they were meant to be together. The only problem that I had is that when I placed the Floyd Rose tremelo handle into the socket, it kept falling out, thinking to myself this is the worst designed Floyd Rose I have ever seen. I was frustrated at first, so I decided to put my glasses on and investigate the situation a little further and I noticed that there was a tiny Allen wrench set screw that needed to be tightened nd. There was no wrench included with the guitar and I had to purchase one separately. I recommend that you NOT buy the all in one assorted set but buy individual separate wrenches, because you will take a chance on ruining the finish with the all in one set. That was the only problem that I had with this guitar. Other than that, there were no other issues that I had.

Diese Gitarre lässt den Gitarristen verdammt gut aussehen. Das muss sie auch, denn sie besteht aus viel Holz und das wiegt natürlich. Der dazugehörige Koffer wiegt auch noch mal etwa 7 Kilo. Also ganz schön viel zu schleppen. Außerdem passt der Koffer in die meisten Auto-Kofferräume nur bei umgeklappten Sitzbänken. Gitarristen die so leidensbereit sind wollen am Ende des Tages natürlich auch was von der Gitarre zurück bekommen. Die Gitarre hängt ausgewogen am Gurt. Ein langer, breiter und gepolsterter Gurt ist zu empfehlen. Der Gurtknopf befindet sich hinten am Halsansatz, so rutschen Gitarre und Hals etwas nach links, das kennt man von diversen Gibson-Gitarren. Der rechte Unterarm liegt automatisch auf dem ausladenden Korpus auf ohne zu behinder, was recht angenehm ist. Der Hals ist kräftig und irgendwo zwischen einem C und einem D geformt und fühlt sich trotz seiner Stärke angenehm an. Der Zugang zu den höchsten Bünden ist perfekt gegeben. An die Ratio-Tuner musste ich mich erst gewöhnen. Sie laufen gut, für mich waren es die ersten und die verschiedenen Übersetzungen fühlten sich am Anfang komisch an. Ich meine, an der tiefen E-Seite nun mehr kurbeln zu müssen als üblich, dafür lässt sich die hohe E-Seite richtig schnell (und genau) stimmen. Die Tonabnehmer klingen für mich eher nach Klassik Rock oder noch eher nach 70iger Hard-Rock. Vermutlich wird der Metal-Gitarrist auch klarkommen aber in der Regel doch andere Pickups bevorzugen. Für mich aber genau richtig, denn sie kann auch satt klingenden Blues. Die Split-Coil-Sounds sind erstaunlich gut. Sie klingen nicht wie echte gute Single-Coils, aber doch so gut, dass ich sie gerne einsetzte. Und ich besitze auch namhafte Gitarren, deren Split-Coil-Sounds ich tunlichst meide. So wie die Gitarre an meinem Körper hängt, sind die Volumen- und Tonregler jeweils eher übereinander als hintereinander angeordnet. Muss man sich auch dran gewöhnen. Die Volumen-Regler laufen satt und verstellen sich nicht von alleine, die Tonregler laufen zu leicht und könnten etwas mehr Widerstand gebrauchen. Sie sind einzeln herausziehbar für den Split-Coil-Sound. Der Push-Pull-Schalter macht einen sehr soliden Eindruck, der Dreiwegschalter ebenso. Die Klinkenbuchse befindet sich am untersten Rand des Bodies und ist somit für die Leute die ihr Kabel zur Zugentlastung gerne in ihren Gurt schlängeln recht weit weg von dem hinteren Gurtpin. Hier macht vielleicht ein Kabel mit Winkelstecker Sinn. Die Verarbeitung ist sauber und die Gitarre hat in meinem Fuhrpark eine klar eigene Sound-Nische. Und – habe ich das schon erwähnt? – sie sieht verdammt gut aus.
