Reviews:
I am an aging Guitar Repairman with arthritis in my hands. Any new product that can help me get pins out fast with less pain is worth trying. I have other Music Nomad products that are okay, and a few I sent back. I had high hopes for this puller, but the very first 3 acoustics I worked on, the pin puller was unable to get underneath the head of the pins to rock them out. It works fine of some guitars, but is not reliable enough to work as well as the Lindstrom pliers I have been pulling bridge pins for 45 years with. These pliers never fail and do not damage pins.guitartec
The best I have found for clean feeling, immediately playable, wipeable and nice smelling lubricant cleaner. I use it on my expesnive classical and electric guitars. The price is quite a killer however. Especially in Australia. I like spending money but this goes over my sense of what a reasonable price is.soundknight21

Reviews:
Hi, folks, This product is so easy, and so handy! It's just, open the tin, put the stuff on (as instructed) and that's it! And, equally importantly, it does the job! It goes with my other guitar tools in the toolbox, and it is so quick to use! The perfect everyday cleaning, between the big one! (that we all do, (occasionally!)
I bought this product because I was looking to replace my Dunlop string cleaner/conditioner or GHS FastFret string cleaner which I have been using for years. I prefer using D'Addario strings which made me want to try out this product. When I first received the item, it was out of the tin can and the wipe has its own cover. By the time I used it a couple of days later, it was already dried out. I contacted MF and they gave me a replacement immediately. The 2nd item I received from MF was sealed better. Upon using it, I can't tell any tonal difference after using it unlike Dunlop and GHS string cleaner/conditioner. However, it is less messy with application and it does not have a smell which I got used to with Dunlop and GHS.Edward
So I've used Fret Fast to date, and thought I'd try this. The wider application device and different applicator material are both favourable, to my likings anyway, to Fret Fast. It is also (certainly at early uses) far more lubricating. Perhaps too much so, but you can dial it back with a light wipe down. Personally, I genuinely prefer this product to Fret Fast. Reduces string squeel, particularly useful for high-gain playing.jptidey

Reviews:
I've always used them. They're reliable and straight.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I haven't tried any of these guitar lubes before and was using a little lithium grease before. After using Nomad I seem to be doing less tuning. Before I would be tuning at least a couple times per day. Now I might pick up the guitar and it's already in tune. And may not have to tune again that day.corey1331

I've been using Fingerease for many years. It works great, as advertised… When used correctly, quiets string chatter, definitely speeds my playing, prolongs string life, helps keep calluses just moist enough so they don't dry and peel off, prevents the long day/gig finger tip pain, makes slides effortless. Works great at outdoor gigs when humidity or sweat cause finger and hand to neck drag. Surprisingly, does not cause your fingers to slip off the string while doing bends. The only complaint I have, be it small is, once you take the cap off the first time it never stays put when you place it back on can. That can cause a problem if stored in a "gig bag". I've resorted to placing a piece of duct tape on the cap to can. Although that may be "nit picky" drives me nuts!Sharkey
The Tone Finger Ease guitar string lubricant is a must have for any stringed instrument. Especially guitar. Keeping your strings clean & free of gunk & swat is essential to your over all tone. Strings create sound through "vibration" and the more free they are to vibrate the better sound they will create. By keeping your strings clean with Tone Finger Ease string lubricant you will allow you to produce a much clearer richer string tone & inspire you to play longer.guitarmandj34
This review in which I have observed and feel may not be persuaded to others, but this is not my intention in doing at all. So I want to clarify that it is an ok use for but for some critique reasons. First off, I am still a fan of this product to this day, and yes I have use this quite often. BUT, there are some few things you have to be aware of when you buy this. Most of the times when I change strings it's because they feel stiff and I have no I idea why they keep feeling stiff most of the time, until I come to realize it's the finger ease that's being in use. Here is my tip on buying a product. "ALWAYS READ WHAT'S ON THE BACK!" and yes, I have to learn this the hard way. The 1st line of the 1st paragraph is the crucial evident you have to think about, in which the part is read, "Reduces finger tenderness-stops string talk…" To me, that would mean that it will stiffen the strings to the point where there will be little or no string talk, in which case, you'll be sacrificing string bending. Many songs that are played are highly used for bending strings and such, but if you don't do strings bending at all, you wouldn't care much at all then. Also, this takes away you callous from your fingers! "…residue transfers from strings to fingers and conditions callouses, keeping soft and smooth without snags." I don't know if I am interpreting correctly, but YOU NEED TO HAVE HARD CALLOUSED FINGERS TO PLAY GUITAR OR ANY OTHER STRING INSTRUMENT! I think that this is good for nylon strings but not steel strings at all… I replaced my old elixirs nanoweb .009 over dunlop .009 and it was very good at first when I played to stretch out the strings, but after when I applied the finger ease to the strings, it just started to sound and feel really different. Now, many of you who may read this read this review will not agree with me maybe because most of you have better experience with the this more than me; But this is my experience with the product which is the reason why I'm giving this a 3 stars. It is not a good product, but it is not bad either. For now, this product will be my last can when I finish it. Until the manufacturer improves this product, I will buy it once again. By the way, the guitar that I put my strings on is a Charvel DST-FR1 which is similar to the LTD/ESP Gus-g Random star.

I tried things like trumpet value oil and basic type lubricants (that everyone knows about) but they only worked VERY temporarily. Why did I? Because this product is expensive, and admittedly, I'm a big cheep skate. Fellow guitarists…it's not worth the cheep oils to keep your guitar in tune. I watched a guy using his SG after using nut sauce on the nut and saddles and he was going crazy with his Gibson Vibrola which are notoriously bad for staying in tune. So, I did the same on mine and it would not go out of tune! Just pay the extra money. It's worth every penny, guys. SOLD!!Scotty
I bought this primarily to alleviate some string binding issues on a couple of guitars but its use is not limited to that. It can also be used as a lubricant e.g. on bridge saddles. I have not used it for any length of time so its difficult to tell how effective it will be in the long run. It seems to have helped with the string binding for now anyway. Long term users have been positive so I have no reason to doubt its effectiveness. It's a very small 'syringe' but a very small quantity is all that is needed when applying it to nut slots. Value is a subjective issue, particularly with imported products, but, on balance, I would say it does the job well and will probably last a couple of years.tricky654
Recently bought a new guitar with a tremolo system on it. Took it to my luthier, and had it "set up" and changed my string gauges to a heavier diameter, etc. On stage, no matter what I did, could not keep the new guitar in tune. Tried everything I knew how to do; restrung the guitar, filed and even re-cut the nut, took it back to the luthier, etc. It was better – but every time – I even looked at the tremolo bar – the G and low E would stick a bit, resulting in being out of tune. Found Big Bends Nut Sauce at Musicians Friend; I reasoned for around 10.00 – I had nothing to lose… Put just a little bit on the nut – and BAM! – problem solved! I can now dive and pull strings all over the neck, no issues what so ever. I am now using this on every guitar I perform live with. It works, the product will last for a long time, and I will not be without it this in my gig bag – EVER! Great product, my kids still chuckle at the name, but this is a serious product, that works far better than graphite, Vaseline, etc. If you check out their web site – you will see some of the biggest guitar names and guitar techs in the industry using this. IT WORKS!Guy

Bought this to lubricate tank discharge valves on my RV. Immediately after application, the valve started to squeak and lost its smoothness. So I sprayed a bit onto my thumb to rub between thumb and index finger. Didnt get that slippery feeling you get with other oils. Will not use this stuff anywhere again!!Dswiss
This beats out any sort of run-of-the-mill what you’re used to seeing in your grandpa’s shop for door, squeaks, or anything related to hood latches. You can put this in a lot of places on your vehicle and you will see much more long-lasting results and you were if you were choosing the other product and I definitely recommend picking up three cans of this I do. Are you going to?Kent
This immediately made my rear passenger window roll up and down again. Previously, it wouldn't budge at all and was afraid the motor is shot. Sprayed the tracks with the included straw and let gravity do the rest and it immediately unstick itself. I sprayed in the channel as well as behind the felt that rubs against the window on either side.petervo
9. Triflow Superior Lube, 2 Fl Oz Dropper
Product Details:
Tri-flow superior dry lubricant is an elite formula created for dry and dusty conditions. the drip bottle application, with a convenient straw, allows for deep penetration in hard to reach moving parts. featuring paraffin wax and high-grade petroleum oil to allow the lube to go on wet, but then set up in a dry, ‘wax-like’ film so it will not attract or absorb grit and grime. perfect for dry, dirty, dusty conditions, while still providing adequate wet weather performance. holds up to extreme pressures and resists water wash-off. provides incredible efficiency without attracting an excessive amount of contaminants.
Specifications:
Reviews:
I use Tri-Flow when working (playing) with old sewing machines. Have heard is a favorite with Bike enthusiasts as well. The squeeze bottle with the long applicator tube works well for getting just the right amount where it is needed. Does not gum up or leave a film like WD40. When facilitating a sewing machine cleaning seminar, include one of these in the kit with other supplies. One bottle should be enough for most users, but getting in this quantity at this price allows me to share with participants. Shake well before using!murf49
Tri Flow is awsome stuff. Guy at the Hdwr store turned me onto it in the spray can. Spray Teflon. I like these little bottles, as I put a couple of drops on my vending machine locks and they turn very easily, lots of less wear and tear on the key and lock and my hand, wrist, elbow, arm. Don't seem to attract dust like oils do which is a problem in my locks. Might be the be lubricant I have ever found.mcsemiked

Reviews:
The 16 ounce spray can is an economical buy of the multi-use, multi-purpose product. Perhaps best of all (to me), the can is fitted with the traditional press-down aerosol nozzle and comes with a separate extension straw. I do not like the newer, leaky, Smart Straw flip-up nozzle on 11 and 12 ounce WD40 cans. Since the Smart Straw was adopted, I have bought the 3 ounce can simply for its traditional spray nozzle. This 16 ounce can combines my preferred nozzle with a value price.Lev
I love WD-40 and use it a lot around the home. I'm also a production weaver and use WD-40 as part of my regular loom maintenance. Think pulleys and metal on metal parts, things that need to hinge or slide, preferably without any friction to cause wear or annoying noise. The product works great. However, my one complaint in the past has been that I always need the precise stream application, and I'm forever losing the straw. Sometimes losing the straw down in the loom as I try to pinpoint application. Argh! This Smart Straw with integrated straw affixed to the can ensures that I always have the precision application stream on hand, and I never lose the straw as I try to get the perfect angle in my machines. That's brilliant product engineering and a great value.SmrtMom
I'm a ground maintenance worker at my local state park, and this trusted shop standby has a new use – preventing camper's fees from ending up in the wrong hands. Let me explain. We have a camping fee drop box that is pillaged at night, mainly from non-campers stealing camper's fee envelopes. What they usually do is that they take a wired coat hanger, place some adhesive on one end, and fish the envelopes from the slot. Coming from a tech background, I know that the WD-40 Multi-Use Product is a really effective dissolver of adhesives. To this product's success, it has successfully dissolved wet patch roofing adhesive to CatchMaster Bulk, the very same or similar glue substance used on many rodent glue traps. It even leaves no residue behind so that no envelopes are easily rippable. If there was one question I'd ask, that would be "What happened to the non-aerosol-based WD-40 Multi-Use Product Trigger Pro?" It had a very nice spray area as far as I've read, and I'm wondering if it will make a comeback. With this product being over 50 years old, it continues to astound me. My grandfather and father used and introduced me to it, and I'm a fan of this humble spray can. Thanks!abogi97

Go to the Super Lube website and the product description and technical specs are impressive. I use this product in the garage and around the house as a replacement for Aerospace Lubricants Inc. TRIBOLUBE brand "Synthetic Spray Grease", and LUBRIPLATE brand "Spray Lube A white lithium grease". Both of which are excellent products but cost more. The best uses I have found so far for the Super Lube brand "Multi-Purpose Synthetic Lubricant (part no. 31110)" aerosol spray grease are to lubricate the distributor cam for points ignition in older cars and bikes, and to lubricate the ignition advance weights and springs behind the points plate in the Harley Shovelhead motorcycles. And of course just about anything else with moving parts. I also have found it great for lubing windshield wiper motor worm drives, VW steering box gears, wheel bearings, accelerator and choke cable internal lube, freeing up stubborn and sticky lock sets, tool box drawer slides, etc .kc5lhr

I ordered GHS' Gorgomyte cloth, the Nomad F-One fretboard oil, and some new strngs, GHS Burnished Roundwound Nickel Rockers Medium (11-50) for my Strat. Like others, I avoid lemon oil. First, I cleaned the fingerboard with some squares cut out from the Gorgomyte cloth (per the instructions). Then I applied the Nomad oil on the entire fretboard. I let it sit a few minutes and the rosewood fretboard soaked it right up. I applied a second coat, only this time I rubbed some on the back of the neck, too. Gave it a few minutes to soak in and wiped off the excess. Lubed the saddles and nut, and put on the new strings. What a difference! It feels so much faster and sounds great! I recommend this procedure every string change.Johne1
I used it on both my rose and ebony fretboards with great results. It slicks on easily with no mess and adds a luster to the look of the wooden surfaces. The price is right close considering you know exactly what is in it, unlike other mystery oils. I like to know what I'm putting on my expensive surfaces and this is good stuff. Note: it doesn't display the ingredients on the bottle, but there is a presentation on YouTube explaining everything you might want to know in case you' interested. Highly recommend.Scotty
As a professional for thirty years, I have reasonable experience in cleaning fingerboard, although it's probably been ten years. I watched the demonstration video and got right to it, replicating the video. It's not a complicated process: dab on, soak for a few seconds, rub off. I was pretty disappointed the gunk did not come off anywhere near as well as in the video. I tried soaking, rubbing harder, different cloth, etc. Both instruments (high-end acoustics) had a buildup that I eventually had to carefully scrape off with a tool. Once I got almost all gunk scraped off, I used the fluid again and it cleaned the last bit. It did soak into and condition the ebony, however, so that's a plus. I probably won't use it again. The Swingfish

I use this religiously because I like that new string sound and feel, and this is much cheaper than changing strings every 2-4 weeks. I think the recommendation is to use it before you play, but I use it after. I just give the strings a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth then apply 1 or 2 passes on the strings and wipe off any excess. If you get any on the fretboard, make sure to wipe it dry. I have no idea how this product works but I'm able to go 6-8 weeks between string changes – playing 20-25 hours a week between 3 different guitars. This will not bring strings back to life, and is meant for maintenance. If you're wiping your strings after each play you probably don't need to use it each time, I just do because a bottle is cheap and I like how it keeps the strings feeling slick and smooth! Probably the best $3-4 you can spend to maintain the tonal quality of your strings.Out of Work Bar Blues Jammer
Overall: Fingertips leave behind human body oil on the strings and guitar body. When bacteria start munching on the body oil, it will turn black leading to corrosion and reduced life for the strings. If you neglect your instrument, you'll see the black patch where your skin makes contact. First thing to do to protect the strings is a good handwash with hot water and soap to remove as much body oil and dead skin from the fingertips/hands/lower arms. I then use rubbing alcohol after the handwash and make sure my fingertips/hands/arms are dry before handling my guitar. When I first used the product, I thought something was wrong with the applicator. It does take some downward pressure—I do this on a piece of paper to judge if the liquid is indeed flowing. If you leave the applicator 'wet' you will apply too much liquid leaving the strings and fretboard 'oily' with excess cleaner. Dry the applicator a bit with a paper towel or the enclosed cloth. I'll put sheets of clean paper under my strings before wiping down the strings with the applicator. You'll catch excess oil on the paper and keep it from your fretboard.Gary
At first i honestly just bought this because of the nice applicator bottle. Dunlop make great picks, pedals and strings so why not at least give it a try. The big reason I needed this was working on guitars you can tell who takes care of their guitars and who doesn't and this seemed a better choice than using that famous blue bottle of glass cleaner every time. All in all this does a much better job than what I was using. This works best on non-coated strings such as Dunlop, D'Addario and Ernie Ball. Elixir to get my point across or cleartone this will just clean the grime off the strings. You get this slippery feel hence the name. It takes two seconds to do and whether i'm cleaning disgusting strings that have never been wiped down or just trying to add some extra life to a pack of strings that is only a few weeks old this does the trick. Now this won't bring a 3-6 month old set you've had on that gibson les paul custom back to life especially if there are indentations in the frets but something moderately used this comes in handy. It's small enough to put in a case or gigbag and the result is instant.Just wipe a bit on like one or two glides across and immediately wipe it down and it's time to rock. They claim it prevents strings rusting too so honestly what's not to love. Whether its a guitar that just got new strings or it's been a few weeks this is a great thing to apply. I did notice more life applying this to the strings in terms of newness but at the end of the day be realistic.Jason

I had recently purchased another guage here a Musicians Friend from another brand, & was very satisfied, but was having a bit of a hard time seeing the markings unless in a very well lit room. Then I spotted this. It was a little more expensive, though still very reasonable, & the white markings on black make this much easier to see! Awesome!!James G.

Seems to do the job as the colour of the cloth after you wipe it down suggests. Not a massive fan of the smell personally. Nice little tin to store it in and should last a long time. The cloth provided does fray and leave little bits on the strings every now and then. I expect the cloth won’t last as long as the main product. Not sure yet how much it lengthens the life of strings and whether it pays for itself through that (I expect not) but it’s nice to know that the strings are being maintained.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I've been using fast Fret for as long as I can remember. A quick wipe after every gig and the strings soud better and last a lot longer. Before I started using it I would break a string maybe every gig (and always had to have a spare guitar ready) but once I started using Fast Fret I was getting more like 6 gigs out of a set of strings. So it pays for itself quite quickly, and lasts a very long time. It is worth noting though, that it is essentially just mineral oil and is not really magic formula. You can buy mineral oil cheaply on eBay (search for chopping board oil) and that's the same stuff. But what makes Fast Fret worth it is the applicator – it prevents you from putting too much on and having a load to wipe off again. It also helps look after your fretboard too, as most lemon oil fingerboard cleaners/conditioners are just made of mineral oil too – there are no lemons in lemon oil 🙂 Anyway, I would recommend it – buy with confidence! I have been using Fast-Fret for decades on ALL of my stringed instruments and it is the ONLY string treatment I will use. I have found that applying Fast-Fret after EVERY use of my guitars, banjos and mandolin can prolong string life for more than twelve months. As an experiment some years ago, I left a set of Fast-Fret maintained stings on one of my guitars to see how long they would remain in good playable condition, and they lasted for more than three years. I'm not saying strings should be kept on an instrument that long as the wire will become tired and lose brightness and tone over time, even when kept clean and corrosion free. But I regularly keep strings on instruments for up to 12 months because Fast-Fret can extend string life for a very long time… If applied thoroughly and religiously to your strings after using your instrument. Experience has taught us that Corrosion and dirt are the enemies of metal strings. This because, the oily salts & acid from contact with fingers and hands is the Number One cause of Premature String Death. Finally, I have to say I love the new design of Fast-Fret. It's new plastic end cap and metal can packaging significantly extends the life of the product.Groovintheblues

I do not have much time between shows to change my guitar strings, but I do rely on having a good tone and everyone knows the newer the strings, the better the tone. Having found this product has been an awesome experience! Wipe one on you strings and like magic, the strings act and sound like new, couldn't be any easier or done better by any other means. The best!!!jozef769
We love these Ernie Ball String wipes. We like to keep our guitars clean pristine but also love to let our children explore music. No matter how much you clean a child's hand, it's never clean. These are great at getting the grime off or dust when we've let a guitar sit a little too long.sara.s

I recently purchased this to polish the frets on my guitar. Wow did this ever do the trick! Frets look like brand new practically. It works on so many areas of your guitar as well. Just a little goes a long way. Make sure you use blue painter's tape to protect the fretboard if you are polishing the frets. It says on the packaging instructions not to get it on the fretboard. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is trying to restore their guitar to it's original glory.ESPfanatic
The nickel hardware on my Epiphone Les Paul Quilt-Top Pro began to fog up and tarnish a bit and I kept getting weird conflicting advice from others on how to fix this. Stumbled across the manufacturer's YouTube video on the polish and saw the product doing literally what I wanted. Swung by Guitar Center before it closed for the day to pick up a bottle. Works as intended. I only needed to apply a small bead sized drop of polish to my microfiber suede cloth for every part I was cleaning.Vance
