High end 8 channel preamp with lots of i/o options. very clear sounding. digitally controlled preamps. i had this hooked up with a ufx ii (sold that as well) and it works very well together, all controlled through rme totalmix. rme gear is superb and worth the money. very clean ad/da conversion and one of the best on the market. preamps are super low noise and transparent. maybe subjective, but the outputs from the xtc sounded better to me than those from the ufx ii.i purchased this used, tested it out and it hasn t seen much use since. it s been stored in a rack since purchase and used once, because i just haven t needed it like i thought i would. never left my climate controlled, smoke free studio.comes with the owners manual.
