I have used countless pedals in my time and I can recommend a few brilliant ones But I have to say this is a revelation!! Its the best most versatile pedal I have ever used and the combinations are exceptional and incredibly authentic. The sampling used to produce the various guitar microphone cabinet simulation are. Truly exceptional and for this kind of money you would never need another guitar pedal and you can eliminate dozens of pedals on your board one good amp and you have almost every combination of different amps and setting you will ever need I have it going through a pre amp and doesnt matter if you run it into an amp or a desk it has every amp etc you could ever wish for at a click INCREDIBLE !! I couldnt recommend this more highly !!!!!gordont5861
2. Zoom G5 Guitar Effects & Amp Simulator
Product Details:
In excellent condition. works perfectly. comes with original charger, paperwork, cubase le6, and original box. this unit has one small modification. i removed the cage window over the tube and added a violet led to accentuate the glass 12ax 7 tube for ambience. this was purely for looks and not anything that affects how the pedal works or affects tone. i'm the original owner of this unit and have personally enjoyed using it for many years. i absolutely love the z-pedal function that allows you to assign three parameters to the pedal to control in real time. i wish that zoom did not discontinue making that on their multi effect pedals. i am currently not using this pedal and hope that someone will enjoy it as much as i have.

I purchased this unit to eliminate numerous stomp boxes and/or a rack with a PSA1. I do many fly out dates and needed a compact all in one pedal FX unit that sounds great through a PA. I found very good sounds within just a few minutes. I don't use many of the FX that are included. I play in an 80s rock tribute and need good drive and clean sounds with delay, reverb, chorus. Two complaints at this time are the pedalboard switches are way too close to the adjustment knobs. If you don't take your time when stepping on the switch, you'll hit those knobs when switching channels. It is such an issue for me that I'm fabricating a knob guard. There is no XLR output. This would be very helpful, but I have a good DI Box that works great allowing me to send an XLR to the sound man and a 1/4" to my in-ears mixer….. My other guitarist has a AxeFX unit. Obviously his is far more capable but for live performances through the PA his doesn't sound $1100 better than this Zoom unit. So for a good live sound on a budget I highly recommend the Zoom….lanesuzza

Reviews:
I've owned several other pedals in the past and some were better than others. This one is my latest addition. The manual is vague not enough detail, it took some guessing and experimenting to learn how this thing operates. Got past most of that. Individual FX are good but most are way over the top and need editing to be useful. I don't understand why they over do the FX, no need to get extreme with the factory sets. The Looper is nice but haven't figured out how I would use it yet (my first Multi-FX pedal with a built in Looper). No power adapter noise is nice a plus. No Bypass switch is a bummer if used in a pedal board with other FX, could make bypass patches but that kind of fails the idea of easy switching between other pedals. It needs a better clean sound with the Fender Twin Reverb model, Twins are known for their clean and this doesn't sound like a Twin at all. Need to fix that. Go listen to a Twin, I owned one for 30 years I know what they sound like. At this point I'm a little disappointed at Zoom, I don't think they thought this pedal through very well. It may be great for some people but it's kind of eh, for me. I may send it back.John
I bought this to use as a headphone amp. For practice, the drums section and looper included are useful. Was not so interested in the effects part, however the range of options for drive and reverb are well beyond what is available on any one amp. Am now thinking I could use this as a preamp for any powered speaker, and adjust to suit. Signal to noise ratio is excellent to my ear. Overall sound quality is excellent.Ts
Get this on sale, and there's nothing that can touch it. Even at full price, heck, you would pay that for one regular pedal alone. Brilliant sound quality, quiet as a mouse, 32 bit processing, 2 bit sampling, a gazillion great effects. Editing and using is pretty easy, you'll have it all down in 5 to 10 minutes if you simply read the instructions- and I barely had to, and still got it figured out. Built like a tank, up-gradable and expandable memory, patches, and effects. (Use the downloadable Guitar Lab software). 3 effects on/off switches at once, but easy enough to scroll and turn on/off any effect in a patch. I run mine off of batteries, a home made battery pack using either 9 volt or AA batteries- either works. A definite improvement over the G3. The only thing better would be a pedal with more physical switches- but then you're paying a lot more money, and bigger pedal, so I opted for less cash outlay, more compact pedal. Truly wonderful and 21st century on it's own, yet small enough to put on a pedal board. Do I sound like a commercial?? 🙂 I'm not, just a user. Best pedal bargain on the planet right now. Better than Boss or anything else I'm aware of. 10 stars.neilslade

I've been looking awhile for a Zoom G3x, with the The Shadows patches because they are very good. Its a well made metal bodied unit , pretty easy to use when you study the manual . It can connect to your laptop or PC using USB type B to Type A cable. which enables you to update the firmware, and play your backing tracks. If you download Edit and Share from Zoom ,this enables you to alter, swap and change patch positions. Very handy having a volume pedal, which can be set ,for various effects. I'm very pleased with the Zoom it was a good price ,and sounds fantastic. I recommend it.opaline_04
As a "weekend warrior" gigging musician, I needed a new pedal board to replace my old XTLive POD that finally died after 12 years (also a MF purchase!). Checking reviews, I felt pretty confident ordering it and this thing exceeds my expectations! The phrase "so easy a caveman can do it" comes to mind. I literally received it, set up a bank of effects and played a gig within two hours! My picky soundman even told me at the end of the night "don't ever get rid of that pedal-board, it's your new secret sauce". Already tweaking and adding more patches – thanks MF and ZOOM for such a great product and such an easy purchasing process!Muzik Man
Have been chasing tone for years and stumbled upon a guitar fx inside of the Zoom R8 Multitrack Recorder. It was named DZ. I Researched it and found out DZ stood for the real life super expensive 3 stage gain High End Diezel Amp. The sound was too good to be true. After finding out that this amp was included in the G3 it was a must that I seek it out and see if it was the same amp SIM. Sure enough it was. This amp is my definition of all that an amp should be. It has a gain that goes from clean to distorted and the progression is smooth and natural. There is a tube control in each amp. Zoom calls it a sigmoid curve clipper. It is so good. As you turn it up it actually acts like tube compression and I mean altering tube dynamics. I have found that most guitarists are not interested tweaking all that much but this a true art form and is very rewarding. The Diezel amp is like a 5150 or Soldano Marshall or Mesa Boogie in sound quality. There are other great amps but this was my favorite and with the built in graphic EQ I can emulate most amps that I like or hear. The FD combo amp is an emulation of a Fender Twin and it is darn good. When cranking gain it becomes extremely lively. I rate it as the best tube emulator no doubt. Since you can have 6 effects in any order there are no limits on what you can get out of this pedal. I believe the emulation are very accurate and most amps are usually enhanced by pedals in front of them. So it is important to try different boost and overdrive pedal Sims just like a real life setup. I used the Acoustic SIM thru the FD twin with a mild phase to get a very convincing Acoustic sound. The Marshall amps are great. The Free software from Zoom Edit and Share is such a nice and easy program and visually exciting to see pedals that look like pedals…not boxes. Find a clean preset on your amp at its loudest volume. Run music that you like thru the pedal and create a hi fidelity sound on your amp. Once you have a good setting everything works

6. Joyo Jf-17 Extreme Metal Amp Simulator
Product Details:
With the combination of its three band eq and drive and level knobs you can get a wide variety of tones from heavy blues through hard rock to high gain metal. with the gain set at around 9 clock using a bridge position humbucker you can get some excellent classic rock tones. flick to the neck pickup and you get a thick creamy sustain filled lead tone ideal for any heavy/rock blues lead playing you'll be doing. with the right combination of eq settings with the drive low you can even get some quite santana-esque tones from this pedal. where this pedal is most at home is with the gain at 12 clock or higher. at 12 o'clock you get some brilliant hard rock tones reminiscent of guns n’ roses, metallica and iron maiden. again using the 3 band eq here will give you masses of variety. for a more metal type sound why don't you try scooping the mids out slightly and adding a few more highs and lows.push the gain to 3 clock and you get an all out metal onslaught. make sure you scoop the mids and push the bass and highs and you'll be in metal heaven. pinch harmonics will fly off your guitar. a nice and tight low end helps keep any palm muted galloping riffs sounding crisp and clear. throw your guitar into a drop tuning and chug away this pedal stays tight no matter how low you go. don't forget the divebombs if you have a tremolo equipped guitar. the boost switch is best used on your neck pickup with the control between 9 clock and 10 clock. kick this in at the start of your solo and it'll help increase your volume a little and add a nice bit of top end to really help you cut through the mix so everyone can hear those shred tastic solos. housed in an aluminium alloy case the extreme metal is built to withstand everything you can throw at it gig after gig.

7. Carl Martin Rock Bug Headphone Guitar Amp And Speaker Simulator
Product Details:
The carl martin rock bug is an amp/speaker simulator and headphone rehearsal unit that operates on a single 9v battery. although this type of accessory is not new, carl martin believes there is nothing on the market that feels as real or sounds as realistic as the rock bug! you simply get the feeling that you are playing through a good tube amp. just plug your guitar (with or without pedals) into the unbalanced ¼” input, plug your favourite headphones into the unbalanced ¼” output and off you go! adjust your instruments’ volume with the guitar knob, select an open cabinet or closed cabinet simulation with the mini-toggle switch, and wail away through the privacy of your headphones. if you like, use the aux stereo inputs and add an mp3, cd or dat player to the mix; adjust the master volume for your music, blend in your guitar sounds with the guitar volume, and either play along with your favourite cd’s or add a personal touch to your pre-recorded backing tracks. utilizing the balanced xlr output, you can connect your rock bug to a mixing console for recording, solo gigs accompanying the pre-recorded music with your live guitar, or as a di for live performance when you are packing light, or your amp goes down. you might not think an amp-speaker simulator is new, but with all these features, the rock bug is the little danish-swiss army knife that belongs in the pocket of every guitar-players gig-bag!

Reviews:
Just an update to my previous review:My previous comments apply to using the headphone output with a regular guitar cord into a PA's Hi-Z input. I can't speak to the effect of plugging an extenal sound source into the stereo aux inputs at the same time, as I don't intend to use that function. But this thing's simple design is even more brilliant than I thought. If you use the Balanced output with an XLR mic cable into a PA's Lo-Z input, the 'Master' knob is out of the circuit and it's absolutely dead quiet no matter where the 'Guitar' knob is set.(With all due respect to Winslo, an electric guitar does not produce any appreciable output in the 10-15kHz range, and in fact most guitar speakers only have measurable response up to about 8kHz; take a look at some of the frequency response graphs on Eminence's Website for example.)
The Rock Bug sounded like a very promising addition to my pedal board so I could stop dragging an amp back and forth to gigs. However, it was so noisy that the sound guy had to cut my 10-15kHz by -12db just to make it tolerable. This does not and can not replace an amp. You are better off getting a cheap combo amp with a direct out or invest 10 times more to get a full multi-effects modeling processor.Winzlo-CSa5U

Reviews:
Good amp sim pedal. Nice variety of amp & I like the cab sim pairings (although the CAB module expands those choices immensely). Main issue with this pedal: VERY NOISY, even by itself. Gets even noisier when trying to stack it with another drive pedal. Most of the effects seem to be the harder-clipping distortion or even metal style, although the cleaner amp sims seem like they cut down on the noise significantly (but still not low enough to stack drive or dirt pedals). JMHO thus far. Still haven't found the right combination of noise gating or silencing to quiet this one down yet, but my experimentation is still ongoing. YMMV.John
I love this pedal. With a little tweaking I can get these amps close I have ran demos of the real amps and compare to sound of the binary and it’s close one thing I noticed about it is I do get a little bit of noise But I’m not quite sure where that’s coming from yet and may not be from thePedal
Very nice modeling – LUV Hotone! However, you'd better get a noise gate….Jeffrey
10. Zoom G5n Guitar Multi-Effects Fx Amp Simulator Modeling Emulation Usb Pedal

Reviews:
Really loving this, getting back to playing after about 20 years away, got this multi effects pedal and I’m playing every day, plenty amp sims and effects to play with, got about 5 favourites already, not played about enough with the blank slots so can’t say too much about that. Drum beats are good for jamming along with and keepin time. Love the looper, really cool for dual parts ( I play a lot of iron maiden) and for noodling over your own backing track. Went for this one with the expression pedal, not using it much but that’s probably my style more than anything, it works. I’m using a standard mini usb to power, not tried recording yet, busy playing and having fun. Using headphones mostly, sounds great, put it through my 30 year old Marshall when I get the chance, sounds awesome. Bottom line, I’m just messing about in the spare room, having fun. Not a performer or gigging or anything. This has everything I need/want and the rest. Price is pretty good for what your getting. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to try some different sounds and just have fun.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Should actually get a refund on this. Seemed like a good product but tried to connect with Guitar Lab to add effects. I got connected, added a couple of FX but lost some factory effects that were pretty good (Comp). Then, tried to connect again to get these back but can't connect anymore. Tried 2 computers as well, many times. Anyway, the box is stuck with FX it has now so, not good. Poor product if you can't get it to function properly.Zoom Man
It works well, covers a lot of different effects (including amps and cabinets), and the user interface is pretty easy to learn. There are some limitations in its capabilities (for instance, there's little memory available to add effects unless you uninstall some of the defaults, and some combinations of effects can't be used because it doesn't have enough processing power), but at this price you have to expect that. One thing they could improve without adding cost to the device is the documentation; expect to use your favourite search engine a lot while figuring this thing out.Steve

Reviews:
If you are looking for a good practice amp modeler that is compact and has quite an array of effects and amps than the Pocket Pod should do the trick. I gig regularly and felt the Pocket Pod would be ideal for gigs where I didn't want to haul my tube amp around. Sound wise I'm not disappointed in hooking my pocket pod up to a sound board. However, where this product ultimately fails is there is NO On/Off switch! To activate the pod you plug your guitar directly into the input jack and it comes on. Once on you pretty much have to leave the guitar plugged in for your entire set or risk getting a loud pop through the PA system. And leaving the pod plugged in makes the pod get very warm and drains your batteries. I have a circuit breaker guitar cable so I can switch guitars without getting the dreaded pop in the PA system. I'm sure the people at Line 6 cut out the On/Off feature to save room. But I've never seen any piece of equipment that can't be turned off with a button. Satisfactory sounds but more headaches than it's worth for gigging musicians.O'neil Blues
Its great i love how it has all kinds of sffects and i can use both my guitar and phone as i play along. Great for portable playing so i dont have to bring the big head amp everywhere i want to take my guitar. Also the battery life is amazing if there's a new version of this i would so buy it.Hector

Recently downsized my Fractal (Axe-fx) live rig into this little unit. I've had it now for about a month and i'm really happy with it. It does everything i hoped it would and the tones i'm able to pull are great. The built in presets are a really great place to start and you can dial in your 'sound' even more with the many effects available. The touchscreen is an awesome feature but i'm really happy with the computer editing capabilities, as that's what i'm used to. The build quality is actually really strong and the built in exp pedal is super solid too. And it's small, like.. smaller than my keyboard! Perfect for carrying around to shows! I was also able to get this really cheap compared to it's competition. There's even an Ampero gig bag that you can purchase separately that is fantastic. Cheers!Barak B.
I have been VERY impressed with the Hotone Ampero so far. I have no idea how they were able to create such an amazing product for such an unbelievable price. It's like a Helix LT shrunken down for about 1/5 of the price and it has the same dual DSP SHARC chips as Helix! The unboxing is similar to an Apple product. Build quality seems very solid. There are tons of AMPS, EFFECTS, and CAB Sims in here! And so far, they all sound great. I've only been through a small % of all this stuff. But I can't wait to see what I can do with it. P.S. I had a great experience with Sam Ash! I was able to negotiate a better deal which made things even better! When's the last time you negotiated a price drop while in your Amazon shopping cart screen?!?!? 😉Dolf M
I usually use mics, but this unit sounds good run directly into the mixing board thanks to the better than average amp/cab emulators. The overdrive/distortion and chorus algorithms are particularly noteworthy, and the reverb and delays are also more than adequate. Definitely one of the best overall multi-effects pedals I've used, especially in a direct to board capacity. The interface is easy enough to operate, the menus intuitive and , again, the sound is really good. -Better than most, actually.DAVID

Best pedal for the price and very happy with everything I can do with this unit!!Joe Westall
I was looking for a good multi-effects pedal option and found this Flamma FM10. It's loaded with a bunch of different amp models and effects. I was able to dial and EQ everything. The expression pedal can also be put to use as a volume pedal, wah, gain control, and several other things. I was able to create several personal patches and have used them all in live settings. They sounded great. Which means a lot coming from me because I am EXTREMELY picky about gear and tone. Other benefits are that it functions as an audio interface, it has stereo outs, a headphone out, and aux in. It fits in a backpack and a gig bag. Depending on where the show is and how a musician needs to get there, this effects unit is going to travel well in all circumstances. Seems like a really great option for any musician (especially traveling musicians) who need a small multi-effects unit. I like it and I'm going to be using this quite often moving forward.Paul

well made kit and great sound and it looks great
Simply effective and a nice interface between my amplifier and computer recording setup. Simple and efficient.chhl
16. Stage Right By Monoprice Sb20 50-Watt All Tube 2-Channel Guitar Amp Head With Reverb
Product Details:
While modern solid state and modeling amplifiers provide valuable versatility, nothing sounds quite as right as a tube amp. preferred by most for their warm, round tone, tube amps can also produce organic sounding distortion that is superior to most, if not all, solid state equivalents. with the sb20 amp head and sb12 combo amp, stage right delivers organic, classic, high gain tube tone in a powerful and hyper affordable package. these are real, professional tube guitar amplifiers for the value minded and/or working musician.
Reviews:
overall I really like this amp. the dirty channel has a good crunch. Not a very tainted sound, which I like a lot. Clean channel is not real chimy like some, but nice and clean. the face plate is also black, unlike the 30 watt which is easier to see. The issue is the channel switching. While some amps are known for a load pop, this is quite the opposite, and I am guessing the pop is what they were trying to avoid. this one actually drops in volume and then comes back up between channels. Deal breaker. I can't use this live if it cuts out. Really wanted to have this kicking around for a second amp. But I will be returning this.brian
First one arrived and the overdrive channel sounded awful. Made arrangements to return it and the process went quick, I had a new one a week after sending the bad one back. The second one turned out as advertised. You can dial in a wide range of tones and has that beautiful tube sound. The reverb is just a tad weak but still ok. Also, effects pedals sound great. It?s an awesome buy.Leo
I had a 50 watt 6L6 guitar head and sold it only to regret it later. I saw this one on sale and I took a chance. Glad I did. Disclaimer: I only use it for a pedal platform, although I have tried the gain channel. It's "ok" (not great) but to use the amp that way you'll really have to work with the both channels to achieve unity volume. As a clean channel pedal platform it's great. Like others have said the reverb is lacking but I usually just leave it on 10:00 for ambience. This amp is LOUD and can easily hang with a large band if needed. As far as reliability, time will tell, but it seems well made IMO.john

Reviews:
Fantastic and realistic modelling in a compact format. Some people have mentioned the presets based approach as fiddly but it's very intuitive. To get the best range out of the natural drive sounds, I recommend adding a transparent boost like a TC spark directly before in the chain It's pricy but worth every penny and allows use of FRFR cab or direct to PA approach.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Works well. Smart and functional design.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
I use a Korg Pandora Mini multi effects processing unit to achieve a large spectrum of sounds. That is another unit that I recommend guitar players to use to compliment the sound and functionality of this Pignose Hog 20 amplifier. The Hog handles pedals very well, as I also unit a Biyang Compressor Unit and an Electro Harmonix Linear Boost Unit (both seperately). I have not tried a Distortion or High Gain pedal unit to achieve METAL-esk sounds but I am very sure (almost to a certainty) that this amplifier can handle it. I hope that my review has helped guitarists make an informed decision about this product. It is a very practical and inspiring product that EVERY guitarist should have as a practice aid. Good luck to all of you on your musical and technical guitar journeys! Peace! Ok, so let me begin by telling y'all what this amp does. The Pignose Hog 20 is a RECHARGEABLE amplification unit that does what it is supposed to do; produces a clean sound. This sound is very clear and articulate. I will be yet another reviewer that mentions this amp's strong suit is it's CLEAN setting. The amplifier also has a TONE knob to adjust the brightness of the sound, as well as a SQUEAL knob to add an OVERDRIVE voice to the sound. This SQUEAL knob IS NOT a distortion knob. It is best used as a clean boost or to add a small amount of GRIT to the sound. If you are looking for a GAIN suited amplifier, this unit is NOT for you. If you are looking for an amplifier that inspires you to create and play than look no further. This amp is for you! This amplifier is 100% portable. Once the unit is fully charged one can easily take it to a park, garden, school, play ground, lake, beach, or ANY place that does not have an electrically input. Be warned; the juice on this unit only lasts for 8 hours so plan accordingly. The amplifier is very sturdy. Though it is small and compact, and can easily fit into the trunk of a car, it is somewhat heavy (weighing at about 15-20 pounds; maybe less). I can not attest to it's long term functionality for I have only owned it for a week. This amplifier is a STEAL! Its value and practical use far exceeds its cost. My only criticism of this product is that it takes 4-5 hours to charge in the wall before use. This is not an overwhelming disadvantage, only a point worth mentioning to potential buyers.
This product does exactly what I wanted it to. I have to play a wedding with my acoustic at an outdoor event this week where there is no electricity. With an acoustic guitar, you do have to watch where you place it because it will feedback if you're not positioned correctly, but that's no problem because I'm outside. The squeal knob is pretty much worthless to me, but maybe it's better with a solid body electric. I purchased a battery operated ZOOM MS-50G pedal, just to add some eq, compression, chorus, delay and reverb to the Pignose and I couldn't be happier with the results — especially when you consider that this is a battery operated amp.inthesticks53
Don't think this amps 20 watts will be loud. My Jca22h 20w will bury this amp on less than 1. Most 15w and some 10w amps will out do the pig by a long shot[even a 5 watt tube amp] The pig does'nt have a lot of clean headroom either but it's enough for what it's for. It has a decent crunch and distorts easily with humbuckers at higher volume. I don't personally care for the "squeal" knob.Too much "odd" harmonics. What its good for is that it's rechargeable, super portable, and the charge lasts a good bit with the dual beefy battery packs in the back. You can take this anywhere and play. No electric….no problem. And that's a good thing. The best feature is the built in battery packs that can be recharged. Lasts quite a while on a charge too. Well built. Feels and looks solid. You can buy a Fender champion 600 tube amp for the same money or a Fender frontman 25 for less but they're either much larger and you have to have juice to run them. So the value ain't bad for what the pignose gives you.gamjamm
19. Radial Engineering Tonebone Jdx Direct Drive
Product Details:
The radial jdx direct-drive is a unique and powerful device that emulates the sound of a guitar amplifier while doubling as a direct box. unlike a typical direct box that merely transfers the sound of the pedals to the pa, the direct-drive simulates the tone and feel of a real guitar amp, producing a much more realistic sound. in other words, with the direct-drive on your pedalboard, you can do a gig without carrying an amp to the club.the design begins with a traditional .25 in. guitar input and passive thru-put to feed a stage amp. this is then followed by a dedicated tuner output that is buffered in order to eliminate loading on the pickup or noise from the quartz clock. the guitar signal is then passed through a series of carefully sculpted filters to create radials signature jdx tone. this is modeled after the sound of a shure sm57 in front of a marshall 4×12 cabinet. the direct-drive goes further with two more voicing settings: the first adds a vintage marshall tube head character to the signal path while the second delivers a tone reminiscent of an early fender twin. the two amp tones can be further tailored using a presence switch for extra sparkle. the guitar signal exits the direct-drive via either a 1/4 inch guitar-level output or via a balanced xlr to feed the pa. the direct box output is outfitted with a 180 polarity reverse switch to help phase-align monitors with the stage amp along with a ground lift switch to help eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops. the direct-drive may be powered using a standard 9v power supply or typical pedalboard power brick.as with all radial products, the direct-drive is made to handle the rigors of professional touring with 14-gauge steel throughout. this not only helps prevent damage to the internal pcb, it also reduces susceptibility to noise from external magnetic fields. color: multicolor. gender: male.

I have a regular solo gig at the local bookstore / coffee house and sometimes I like to play my hollow body electric (Gretsch Black Falcon) and don't want to lug an amp so I can now run my guitar through the Radial DI into my portable PA and it sounds great. I don't need "effects" because I strum to accompany my singing so this works great for me. If I am in a band situation, this will be in my gig box in case of an amp failure and I can put this unit in front of my pedal board and then run my signal straight to the board via the XLR out. If you perform live (I don't do much in home studio work), I think this is a nice tool worth considering. It is a fair price and you get what you pay for. It doesn't have a lot of "bells and whistles" but it works great for me.DU in KS
I have used the Behringer Ultra G for many yrs. and it worked good. I also have a Radial stage bug, and other di boxes.. I thought this JDX would be the best, but found the sound dull and I had to use an EQ pedal to improve it. ( I didn't need it on the Ultra G, or Mooer DI; both have speaker sim). It is an active DI so more care had to be taken not to distort the clean signal, because the JDX distorts it more. The 412 cab setting had too much bass added to the signal, so the JDX needs a bass cut switch. In a large concert venue, this might be the best DI out there, but for regular bar gigs not so.Rockerduck
This weekend I got double booked; 5-8 solo acoustic set, then a big band called and I accepted a late gig playing electric guitar from 10-1 at Red Rocks (Corporate event). Decided for ease of "fry" and set up, to try the JDX Amp simulator to make load in easier. Barely had it on my pedal board – had no time to dial it in – in ears sounded perfect, and the FOH guys LOVED IT – said it sounded FANTASTIC. I own a bunch of great sounding amps, in most venues will still prefer to mic my cab's for live playing – but – the JDX delivered big time, and the other players were jealous – showed up with pedal board and guitar, EASY! Best part, was concerned that JDX would not take my pedals – and turn my OD's into "fizzzz", but it sounded very amp like and responsive; took all of my hi gain pedals – and sounded very good doing it. For the convenience alone – it has to get 5 stars, but Radial gear is built great, and MF had this item to me with 2 days – GREAT SERVICE!Guy
20. Tech 21 Sansamp Classic Amp Simulator
Product Details:
The sansamp classic is like a swiss army knife of guitar tones. it's all analogue circuitry and set of character switches to change the sound like near anything from vox, fender, marshall, boogie, and whatever odd combo you come up with. i've had this sansamp for about 2 to 3 years now. it's all original and everything works – all the switches, the led, the knobs. everything. this is actually my spare sansamp and i don't need it any more. includes original power supply. sorry, there's no original box or instructions. but, i'm sure that you can find those on line if you need them.
