Reviews:
This is a great tuner for the price. I have 4 of these…one for 4 different instrument cases. Very easy to read, easy to use, accurate, and convenient. As a beginning violin student, I love that this tuner shows me exactly how far off I am with my intonation on any given note. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!ralpiggy
Arrived quickly. Cute designs. Small, even though sizes given in pics, was still a surprise how little they are. Not really squishes, more squashies (stretchy plastic) as theres instant bounce back unlike memory foam squishies. Stretchy & still fun to play with. Dd loves them.louisa0969

Reviews:
This is an amazing tuner that does what it's supposed to with no issues. I would recommend this over a standard guitar/bass tuner since it can detect pitches that fall outside the range of standard tuning since it is chromatic, and that means it suits alternate tunings. The flip out stand on the back is also a great feature. I have the tuner propped up on top of my amp and it looks as great as it functions. Having an input/output makes it even more versatile since you can leave it plugged in to the amp all the time and not worry since it has bypass which means sound passes through even when the tuner is off. And if you have an acoustic guitar? No problem, this tuner also has a built-in microphone. The only downside is that is has no illuminated screen. Unfortunately is seems Korg does not offer an illuminated version of this model, but you really can't complain as this is one of the best tuners you can get at this price point. Features: Chromatic, good for alternate tunings. True bypass Simple operation Microphone Buit-in stand Small, unobtrusive. Cons: No metronome No illuminated screen. Sometimes has trouble detecting really low notes, otherwise pretty accurate.alan
This is a good tuner for 6 string guitars, 7 string guitars, and basses, provided that they are in standard tuning. However, if you use alternate tuning, it may confuse one for the other. When I tuned my 6 string electric down to C#, the tuner kept trying to find the 7 string low 'b', making it useless. Although it has a 'flat' control, a simple manual select switch would solve everything.Jeff

It's always nice to have a tuner anywhere I go and this tuner is really serves me well. It's light and the battery last longer than I expected. This is also the clip on tuner that I always recommend to my friends when they ask me which one is good. Price is very reasonable and the tuning is accurate.Rome
This device is a deceptively simple tuner for guitar, bass, ukulele and violin, plus a chromatic option. I do not play violin, but the options I have tried work well. The tuner consists of a small screen mounted on a swivel with a padded clip, so you can mount it on your instrument and adjust for convenient viewing. Tuning is easy. Select the instrument, then the screen will display a small meter like a speedometer or VU meter which will change color when the needle is centered indicating that the correct pitch has been achieved. Simple and accurate. What more could you ask for? Recommended.sunny575
Good overall and extremely simple. My only problem with it is that it often has issues with guitar low E. It sometimes notices low E a little later, or reads it a little wrongly/messier, and sometimes just doesn't pick it up at all – but with a little extra patience, it will work out, as it only wastes a few extra seconds of your time each time you tune. Other than that, perfect, very quick and amazing for the price. I'd only recommend this if you're just starting out, on a budget, or need a backup, otherwise get something a little better. That all being said, it absolutely functions nonetheless, and I use it for my electric guitar and have used it an an acoustic bass.Justin

Reviews:
I bought this a cheap tuner to keep in my case for when I travel. It does the job, but it is not as nice as my PolyTune clip or my snark. The screen is a little dark and hard to read at certain angles and it does not seem to respond as quickly as the others. That said, it is cheap, small and works as intended. Had I tried it before I bought it, I would have kicked out the extra few dollars and gotten another Snark.Matt

I purchased this a few weeks ago and I used it every day. I think it is ok. It gets the job done and is light. It does feel cheap and you will notice rattling especially when you tune the guitar. The note detection doesn't jump around like on the korg pitchclip 2 so that's a plus. It is also rechargeable and comes with a cable. I think it would be a decent backup in case your tuner breaks or forget to the battery. I charged it to full on the first day I got it and it still has 2/3 bars of power left. I would look at other options however.Lewis A
Great product which has several features. Good size and fully adjustable, so can clip on to your instrument – guitar, ukulele or violin. And recharge too, this is what sold it for me, too annoying having to purchase batteries for tuners. Well played Fender (see what I did there 😉) A must for any musician, regardless of rank.Mr D. U.
All is great except for one thing. The tuner has multiple modes (guitar, bass, etc.) which is great. But after use I'd like to be able to turn the tuner off immediately. But when you touch the power button, it simply switches modes. To turn it off you have to hold down the power button a few moments to turn it off (instead of just switching modes). I'd like an "instant off" button.Sherman
6. Snark Sn5x Clip-On Tuner For Guitar, Bass & Violin

Reviews:
I was adding a 2nd tuner to my gear. This is a good tuner, but it defaults back to 440 Hz with every power down. I tune to 415, half step down and leave it there. My D'Addario tuner maintains whatever Hz adjustment was made prior to power down. I made the bad assumption that others of a quality brand would support this too. Plan to return to get this feature with another productDR
I bought a Snark tuner YEARS ago. I thought this one must be better (it's been years). Frankly it isn't (it's been years). It's OK. I don't mind it. I prefer my old one. That said, I bought two of these and will use use them all the time. The gold button makes me SOOOO happy! I lurves me some gold button! Meh. Who needs a gold button?Rory
This tuner appears to be a decent quality item. The most important thin, of course is it works! Follow the colour indicator to the correct colour and your guitar is in tune. A neat touch is because of the ball joints, the tuner can be mounted on the back side of the headstock, out of view of an audience but still fully visible to the user. The other point is. It's simple. Turn it on, tune up, turn it off. Great little unit. Slightly more expensive but in my opinion, worth it.alsanjak

Reviews:
Bought the Polytune 3 to replace the Polytune 2 on my board because I wanted the buffer without having to use a separate buffer pedal. First thing I noticed out of the box was that the Polytune 3's screen is only 60-70% as bright as the Polytune 2. Returned it and got a replacement; same thing. I spoke to TC Electronic and they confirmed that this is indeed a design change in the Polytune 3 because some people were complaining that the 2 was too bright (wow, I guess a lot of complaining people don't do outdoor gigs). Go figure. At all levels of the built in light sensor, the 3 is dimmer than the 2, including outside full brightness. Boo. This is a deal breaker for me as the Polytune 2's screen & brightness were perfect. The new one is too dim and hard to see from eye level, and other LED's on my board are actually brighter than the Polytune 3's display, which is distracting. So so disappointing as this could have been perfect. Such a puzzling decision on the part of TC Electronic. A much better solution would have been to make the brightness switchable between two modes if that really was an issue. I mean really: who wants a dimmer, harder to see screen? Especially outside in sunlight. They took one of the industry standard tuners and upgraded it with a switchable buffer, but downgraded it because the screen is dim. Going back to my Polytune 2 with separate buffer pedal.Tommy
Don't know how well it works yet. This is not ready to use out of the box unless you happen to already have a 9v DC power supply. Not sure if it will take a 9v battery because a specific hex wrench is necessary to open the unit. It would be helpful to have this information on a retailer's website to alert potential buyers.Steve
Does everything it says it does. I only have two complaints and two suggestion: 1) Tuning in poly mode seems to have you tune everything slightly sharp. I tuned all strings in poly first and then when switching to a single string to fine tune, ever single was string was just a hair sharp. I don't know if poly mode is accurate and single string mode is flat or vice versa, but that's a minor gripe. You can use poly mode to get close and single string mode to get every string perfect. 2) There is no way to "lock" the pedal in one mode or the other. You strum all strings for poly mode or one string for the other mode and the pedal automatically switches between modes. The problem is that you have to be sure ALL of the other strings are muted/completely silent to keep the pedal in single string mode. If you even accidentally bump another string while trying to tune a single string, the pedal will switch back to poly mode. It would be nice if there was a way to keep the pedal in one mode or the other to avoid inadvertently switching back and forth. Second suggestion, I wish there was a way to dim the display. When they say this pedal has an ultra-bright LED display, they mean it has an ULTRA-bright LED display. You could probably tune your guitar in low earth orbit with this pedal. That's fine in bright lighting or daylight, but at night or on a darkened stage, something that bright tends to affect my vision for a few minutes. Other than that, I found the pedal intuitive and easy to use. The only thing I had to refer to the manual for was to find out how to switch between alternate tunings. There is a TINY little button near the input jack and I missed it when just holding the pedal and giving it a quick once over. The pedal does not affect your tone in any noticeable way, even when you have your volume way up. The footswitch is smooth and there's no audible pop (either on the pedal or through your amp) when switching the tuner on and off.Heavyarms

Reviews:
This things works as intended and is accurate enough, perhaps not as fast as the rather snarky industry standard, but for less money that's basically to be expected. The part where it falls flat is the button design. It has one button that you hold to turn on and off, and press quickly to change the mode. The other button adjusts the A pitch frequency. It is a counter intuitive design that results in much time wasted cycling through the modes or pitches to get back to the one you actually want to use. I appreciate that it has multiple settings, but I only play quitar, so it would be really nice if the power button was a simple press away. A convenience complaint, to be sure. But a complaint nevertheless. Otherwise a decent item for the price. PROS: Accurate, easy to read, lots of settings for various instruments, low price point. CONS: Button set up is less than ideal.JL
I bought this as kind of a backup tuner for bass. I typically rely on the built-in tuner on my multi-effects box, which works okay, but because it uses 2 flashing lights (one for low, one for high, if they both light up then you're in tune) does not give the best feedback for how far out of tune the instrument is. This tuner gives that information graphically and I don't have to be plugged in to tune my instrument. However, it does not always detect the E string very well, and is no use at all on the B string on my 5-string. That being said, in my experience finding a tuner that works reliably with very low strings is a bit of a crap shoot, so I wasn't expecting too much. In other respects, it's a decent tuner and serves adequately for just checking my tuning, which was what I wanted it for. I would not recommend this as the only tuner, at least for bass, but for the price it's handy to have clipped on your headstock. It gets points for the easy to read display. PROS: Easy to read, seems accurate CONS: Not reliable on lower bass stringsplc
I bought three of these, one each for two nieces who are learning-re-learning guitar, and one for myself, since I have guitars on two floors of my house and the tuner I have, a Snark, is always on the wrong floor. I was attracted by the price ( less than 1/2 of the Snark I bought from a local store). One niece was tuning from a phone app that was way off and the other used a tuning fork and never heard of an electronic tuner. Both were very pleased to easily be in tune. As usual, Monoprice delivered quickly and on time. First rate customer service. I would recommend this tuner to anyone. It even works on my recently acquired ukulele. Pros: light , quick and easy to use. Cons: none so farHugh

Refurbished modem had a couple minor scratches and a non-standard power cord, but it works perfectly-nearly a year and no problems yet! The phone cable that came with it didn't allow me full speed, but luckily I had another one on hand. I would recommend this–why pay to rent a modem?bank-nicho

When you're told that a product has been improved and the supposed improvements are are not only not perceptible but the product seems to be inferior then … what? YAY gold button!

Reviews:
The desirable features of the GT-CTN tuner are its relatively unobtrusive size, sturdy construction, a display which can be rotated 360 degrees and tilted more than 90 degrees, very legible display characters, and a great price. However, the first unit which I purchased had a nearly imperceptible white display until it detected a tone which was nearly on pitch, at which point the white lettering became visible on a green background. Though that first unit was hardly usable, the Parts Express Technical Support Team promptly sent me a replacement unit. After carefully testing the unit on multiple guitars, I note that it gives a very clear display while tuning toward the target note and then displays very clearly and accurately against a green background when proper pitch is reached. While the unit performed well on my Martin D-28, its clamp jaws did not open wide enough to make the best fit on my Godin Multiac Nylon SA. The unit was also fussy about where it was clamped on the Godin, particularly having a bit of trouble tuning the G string while the display was upright and easily viewable, until the right position was found. Since that trouble was not apparent when the display was tilted horizontal to the headstock surface, I am guessing that it results from damping caused by the generous rubber cushions on the clamp. While this tuner will not be assigned to my Godin guitar, it will find good use with one of my several steel strung guitars.Write your review here. It must be at least 50 characters long. I recently started playing bass guitar and I needed a clip on tuner. I purchased a USB interface here and I just added this in as an afterthought. It was the best $3.80 I have spent. When you are working on a "wife" budget, you cant go wrong. It does the job, is small and out of the way and a Snark cost 5X+ more. Not many features, but guess what, it is just a tuner so who cares. Get one!
I purchased a few of these tuners (Talent GT-CTN) and a few of the other Talent tuners (GT01) and there are pretty big differences between the two. This tuner (GT-CTN) is a decent ballpark tuner worth the price if all you need to do is get your strings "near" being in tune. When compared to the other Talent tuner (GT01) this tuner is about +/- 6 cents off from the accuracy of the same pitch. In other words, if you count on this tuner to help you get your instrument in tune, you could easily be 14 cents off from another instrument tuned with the same tuner, which will sound terrible. However, if you are changing strings and you just need a tuner to get you "close" to pitch and you tune the rest of the way with another tuner or by ear, this will do the job "okay". I wish PE had kept the GT01 in stock and let this one go.Michael
