Overall: See title. I own two gig bags from World Tour. One is an older model and the other is this one. Both are great. They offer a good bit of protection and they aren't too expensive. The materials feel very durable. Other gig bags cost double this and aren't as good. I highly recommend World Tour gig bags to anyone. I purchased this gig bag for a Squier Bullet Telecaster, and the guitar fit perfectly. I love the thickness of the padding and features such as the extra nylon pad on the headstock, so the strings don't rip apart the inside of the gig bag, as it happens with so many other ones. The pockets are nice and roomy, definitely more than enough for me. All handles and straps are high quality and feel sturdy, never makes you feel like they're gonna rip out on you. Zippers feel good, they're big and bulky, definitely high quality! You're getting quite a lot of value for the price this gig bag sells for! I think the price of guitar cases are totally inflated and to get one on sale is something one has to do to stretch the dollar. Okay, that being said, this case fits my China made Fender strat Squier to a tee. The eye catching tweed fits the Fender vibe. If you noticed my cons was durability i.e. the cases tweed look is attractive, but you wonder as road gigs pile up if the tweed doesnt start to tear and expose the raw components exterior of the case underneath? If they had lacquered the tweed exterior, the case itself would have a fighting chance to slip and slide into vans and carriage areas with little thought of rips and tears it would acquire in a short time. Again, I dont gig much these days, but if I was looking at a case long term that could withstand the road, this case would questionable unless you "handle with care" when you transport and load and unload your gear.James R
I didn't feel like spending over $200 and waiting until who knows when, for a Gibson Explorer case, so I picked one of these up. For the money, it's a good case. I carry my guitars with me to shows, so they are always in my vehicle, so this case does the job. I will say it feels a tad more sturdy than the Gator version of this case, and it's slightly smaller, which is a good thing given how large an Explorer case has to be. The only improvement I could wish for, is to make it tad smaller still. There's still several inches of room from the headstock to the edge of the case. I purchased this knowing that it wouldn't be a super durable road case but adequate for storage and playing out now and then. In those ways, it met my expectations. The case is made of very thin plywood, but not so flimsy that it can't function as a good light duty case. The hardware appears to be of decent quality and all of the latches lined up well. The lining was neatly applied and actually fairly soft and plush. It is a universal fit case, so I wasn't expecting it to be completely form fitting to my Telecaster. It will move around a bit in the case when you transport it. It could use better neck support, as well. But overall, not bad for the price. Where this product really came up short is with the application of the tweed covering. The tweed was applied over wood chips and small voids in the wood frame. No effort was made in sanding or prepping the wood prior to applying the cover material. This is only cosmetic, but looks really sloppy and substandard. Maybe I just got a rough one. I didn't expect perfection at this price, but I don't think this case ever should have left the factory like this.Pat

I'm a music therapist and travel from school to school. It is light with plenty of padding. It fits my classical guitar just right. I had priviously had the older roadrunner gig bag, which I bet many perople had. I must of had it 10-15 years. It was falling apart. The old one had a small handle on the top that the new bag doesn't and that is the one thing I miss. I would lilt the guitar in the middle to place it in the hatchback. This Gig Bag is replacing an Ibanez Bag I had previously. That bag had the problem of the straps being slightly too far apart, so they would slip off my shoulders and I had to sew on an extra click-together strap to hold them in place. This Road Runner bag does not have that issue at all. The straps are correctly placed and there's even a clever zippered pocket in one of the straps! Another thing I like is that this bag is compact. A standard classical guitar will fit in here no problem, with no extra space or wiggle room. Nice! The other pockets are excellent too. The pocket by the headstock is a 2-in-1 pocket. You can fit all your small accessories in there. The large pocket has another mesh flat pocket inside and the main large pocket is plenty big enough to carry sheet music. I purchased this with a 25% off sale from Musicians Friend and am super happy with the value and quality of this case. I use it for my Epi Les Paul plus top but my 12 year old son quickly found it and stole it from me to upgrade his cheap Gator gig bag fo his Yamaha Pacifica. Everything about this case is better than the lowest end Gator case. The exterior nylon is tougher and more rigid. Padding is thicker. Zipper feels better. The best improvement is the pouches on the outside of the case. The top one over the neck is plenty big for a 15-25 foot cable, tuner, and small accessories. Then there is another small pouch over that for picks or some very small things. The big pocket on the front is plenty big for a folder with sheet music or music book for his school and lessons. The old gator bag the folder and must would stick out so it could (and did) get wet. Even if you are a beginner and have a halfway decent guitar I think its worth getting this case over cheaper options. Now I just need to get another one. That said I with it came in an alternate color like gray or tweed so as not to get 2 cases mixed up. Definitely recommend this case.Mike

Like most, I looked at the cheaper alternatives when seeking to replace the flimsy gig bag for my new (2016) USA SG Standard. While there are cheaper options, they do not provide the neck support necessary for the SG – this case offers the correct support for the angle of the set neck in the form of a "ramp" where it meets the body. Many of the generic "one size fits all" cases do not. This case also cradles the instrument properly, and is not "too tight" and/or "too loose" along the curves of the body. Now, I'm no fan of overpriced Gibson-branded accessories, and would have opted for aftermarket if the fit was the same but sadly this is the only way I found to properly protect my SG. This is a quality TKL Canadian-made case with "Gibson Gear" silkscreened on it, and the cost, for me, justifies the peace of mind. I bought this case for my 2016 50s Tribute LP. I know the gig bag could do a good job for protecting my guitar, but nothing beats a hard shell case. This case is pretty awesome for what it is. Looks like it was made from tough plywood, and the covering looks pretty tough as well. This case doesn't have a locking hinge. You have to buy a padlock for it. The interior has a plush gray lining that provides soft cushioning for your LP, and its safe on the finish as well. My LP fits snug inside the case, it does not shake around, which gives me peace of mind that it won't be shaking around when I'm carrying it about. Visual aesthetics are simple but elegant. The Gibson Gear logo blazing across the front looks cool, although I personally wish it could've been the Gibson USA logo. I purchased this item to protect my Gibson Les Paul Custom Signature Series Guitar. As reviewed, the interior is extremely plush. The exterior looks quite dependable for all intent and purposes. Like others noted, the points of contention are the metal pieces attaching the handle preventing a 5 star rating. It is illogical to spend so much time on every detail "except" the parts supporting ALL the weight of the instrument. i ordered this with intentions of getting the most for my money. I don't have big bucks to spend, but I wanted certain things and I got what I hoped for. I wanted enough length to accommodate the longer-than-typical headstock on my LP copy Bradley. The measurements were clearly lined out. The rest of the fit was perfect and plush. My only criticism is the metal bracket that secures the nice handle seems a little thin, but I expected there to be a little give-and-take somewhere, for this price. I'm pretty handy and will figure out a way to reinforce it. If not for this I'd give it 5 stars! FYI, Standard Shipping meant US Post Office, at least in my case. Overall: I bought the wine red bag. The bag looks great, it has plenty of pocket space, with one pocket big enough for a 3 ring binder or a lap top. The shoulder straps a very comfortable even with a Les Paul weighing it down. My only complaint about the bag is if you are looking for something with plenty of padding this isnt the bag for you. But for the price it's not bad.

This Musicians Choice product is inexpensive – and no worse than the significantly-more-costly, official, Gibson-branded SG case. That's not saying much, though. The neck rest is about 1/3 of an inch too high. That means that, since the body portion of the case lid has a pad that presses down on your SG's body, closing the case puts serious pressure on the headstock of your guitar. Essentially, unmodified, this case is perfectly designed to break your SG at the headstock, if it's subjected to any, even fairly minor, banging around – such as by airport baggage handlers. If you have modest shop skills – and somewhat more advanced upholstery chops – you can carefully remove the velveteen cloth from the neck rest block, remove the block and sand its bottom down about 1/3 inch, then reinstall (re-glue) the block to the bottom of the case, and then trim and re-glue the velveteen to cover it. Voila! Your SG case now actually PROTECTS your guitar, instead of endangering it. Again, it bears repeating that the Gibson-branded case has EXACTLY the same design defect. The Musicians Choice version is just a slavish copy. If you want actual protection without having to modify the case, buy an ABS-molded, third-party, high-end case and leave both this one and its Gibson equivalent on the shelf.thomst
Excellent case for the price! I keep all my guitars in cases on a guitar rack in my studio. I needed a case for my SG without spending $100 or more on a case. I no longer do any gigs, so this case fit the bill for my needs. As in other reviews, my SG fit like a glove. Are there higher quality, more expensive cases out there? Yes. But for home protection against dust, or accidental fall mishaps, or short trips to a jam session, it's perfect! If your needs are somewhat similar to mine, I'd say, Don't hesitate! The case described is a 3" thick flat top case for a solid body, and the case GC sent (3 times…!) was a 5" thick case with a top bubble for an archtop. Even the tag on the case says it's for an archtop… It's a great budget case that fits a Telecaster loosely, and it will protect the guitar in my trunk exponentially better than any gig bag and will serve its purpose, so it's a keeper. The case sent is really the other more expensive Musician's Gear Archtop Deluxe Case at the solid body case price, and there's not a lot of other options in this price range.Smitty

Purchased this case in "Brown" and it's beautiful. Very well made and a little lighter than the epiphone brand Case. The gold hinges and latches are stronger than I had anticipated, Should last for years. The interior is solid and covering is just as well made as it's competitors brand, epiphone. It does not carry it't name sprawled in gold ink across the top of the case, yet does have a small metal name plate attached to the side by the handle. It’s all about choices.Two for one. Fitz either my Es-335 and or es-330 with my les Paul along with cords stand Strap for a little more weight as the solid case for one guitar. Bulky but has lots of control. This is due to the case design wanting to naturally stand straight up.Nice for public bustle. Noticed on YouTube that there was a problem with the strings poking through the case. Problem solved very well redesigned. I own mono cases, and this is the only time I have been disappointed. The acoustic side of the case is amazing as expected, but the electric side is non functional. The electric side was so tight that I was genuinely concerned that my les Paul headstock would break from how tight the case was. The headstock of my guitar could be seen bulging from the case and was offered virtually no protection in case of a drop. You can easily tell that the electric sleeve was nothing more than an afterthought to the acoustic side. I always feel safe with my electric in any single mono case, but will never trust them in this dual case.Kev
I was excited when I saw that MONO was selling this. My needs are unique in that I walk, take a subway or bus to my music classes or jam sessions. So being able to carry an acoustic / electric would be a miracle. MF has a special so I bought. There are two storage compartments, one large and one small like most MONO cases and are a standard carryover. The acoustic compartment is nice and fit my acoustics nicely as I tried them. The electric was a huge disappointment. It is such a tight space that you have to use force to get your electric in. To make it even worse the electric side's zipper doesn't go all the way to the bottom so that last part is shoved in vs "placed" in. This is so tight that it fails tilt back headstocks like Gibsons, Epiphones and Hamers. You are buying an expensive case to protect a fragile instrument and this doesn't work for a class of guitars. I would describe this as an acoustic MONO case with an cheap MONO "guitar sleeve" fixed to the back. The electric size is nowhere near as protected as the acoustic side. The size walls are cushioned but unconstructed and not rigid. The material does not seem as sturdy as my MONO double bass case that I bought several years ago as well.MrPrytania
