We usually do a gig that last 4 hours easy, but since I developed arthritis in my left hand, I can't bar all night. Thanks to this Glider Capo, I have no problem playing all night. I bought this capo because I need to make mid-song key changes while keeping the same chord voicings, and the traditional capo I have just didn't cut it. Chords rang out of tune or buzzed. I ordered this one and couldn't be happier! I don't think I'll ever go back to my old one again.Ronnie A.

A good solid product but takes a fair bit of effort to attach it to the neck as the springs are quite strong for obvious reasons. I found I needed both hands to attach it but left it on the nut after that ready for further use. Also needs some effort to move it smoothly when playing – I found it difficult to change position with my thumb and often use my strumming hand to accomplish the fret position change. Time will tell as I'm an ageing player, perhaps younger players will find it easier and perhaps different neck depths will have and effect – I use electro acoustic guitars mainly! Classical guitar capos are tough to find in India.. But this is frankly a very different style than the usual which is sort of a clasp, so I was confused. The low price made me decide to give it a go. This is a stretchable elastic band that works like a belt with three holes for adjustable tightness. It works like a charm, and I like that the part that comes in contact with the guitar strings is soft plastic so it won't damage them. It is also lightweight, so I often just carry it around in my pocket. My only two concerns are: 1. Putting it on is a but of a struggle; like a fat guy trying to wear a tight belt 2. The elastic is showing a tendency of loosening over time. I think this capo won't last more than a year at max But it's so lightweight and works well – I don't mind. I think I'll just buy another one when this one wears downJasleen K.

I used to use something like this many years ago when capos were much rarer, little used and more expensive. I believed it then to be a wonderfully simple and practical design. So, I thought one would be fine for a slightly battered classical guitar I now own. I was very disappointed and I hated using it. I must have been spoilt by the excellent Planet Waves capo I use on another guitar. Or maybe it's because I'm no longer young and struggle with what seems like fiercely strong elastic. I find it such a struggle to fit that, once in place, I don't like to move it!! It is, however, nice and small and as such less likely to interfere with your left hand. For the purposes of giving capo playing a try, it could be recommended. Then little is lost if you don't like it. If you do like the convenience of using familiar chord shapes in a different key, plus the "higher" sound, you can then invest in a better design.af_lockey

It feels very light, you can operate it with just one hand. The durability… We'll have to wait to see, it's plastic so not sure if it would last as much as the metal, more heavy/ sturdy ones. For $17 its actually konda pricey being just plasticpr2014-quil

This capo works great with slim-necked guitars like the JEM, however whenever I use it with my Fender steel-string acoustic, either the first or sixth string are not correctly pressed. This causes a weak open note with no sustain whatsoever and an annoying buzz. To fix it you really have to press hard on it from both ends several times. So whatever the smart or practical concept was, it's clearly gone.Armando Garc��_a

Very simple to use, this auto ratcheting capo does exactly what I bought it for. I play a 3/4 size travel guitar, with a slim neck. Every other I've tried, is a bit of a struggle. Not so this one! Also, there is no overhanging lever or sticky out bits to get in the way. Recommended indeed!daveshuttdave

When using a capo it is necessary that it provide enough tension to keep the strings, especially the bass strings, from buzzing. Any more tension than the minimum necessary to accomplish that does tend to de-tune the guitar by raising its pitch. The Shubb design is the only capo that I have ever used or seen that can be precision adjusted to apply just enough tension to effect the key change without unnecessary de-tuning. All other designs use springs to apply the tension so must be designed to always apply enough tension where the neck is thinnest so must apply more than the minimum necessary. The Shubb has no springs and its tension is fully adjustable. It is also compact and stays out of the players way when being used.Stan

Amazing Quality about 2 years ago i bought a new house and about 6 months ago i found this capo in my back yard. I tried it out and it works perfectly. I was very surprised because it had been sitting out in the rain and snow (I live in canada) for at least a year and a half. All the chrome is worn off but the spring is still good and all the foam is still there. The spring isn't even rusty at all. It is very stiff but for something i found who cares. Quality is amazing. If you want a good quality capo that wont fall apart on you (even if you leave it in the rain for 2 years) get this oneCanadian guitarist

Pretty cheap capo, spring is super cheap and causes capo not to open/close all the way. Wasn't looking to buy a top drawer capo or anything but this one is garbage. Spend a bit of extra cash and get one that is at least functional. This one came all scratched up and was initially out of stock so the arrival was delayed. Looks a lot nicer on line, over all I'm quite disappointed in this product, will have to look for a new one.Justin

The door jam bracket was too wide for my door, had to use my old bracket. Found it hard to get adjustment just right so that door doesnt slam right before it closes.diburke

This capo will NOT work on a Paul Beard square neck dobro, so don't even try. Buy a (Charlie's Slide Pro Capo) if you want to use it on a square neck. It's the best. The Shubb is fine for most other square necks. But it's somewhat of a pain to put on and take off. The steel model is fine. You don't need to spend the extra on the C6b. (b) stands for brass. It's a good product, well designed and works well. However it doesn't fit my Dobro. Could use a little more adjustment for neck thickness variations. Am working with the company to replace the padding where it clamps on the neck. Currently will only work on the first 4 frets.John

This is a great capo! The salesman suggested trying this over the one that I was going to buy, and it was a great decision. The switch takes a little longer, but the pressure is very even, and notes do not get bent. You can also adjust the pressure depending on the placement on the neck. Great buy!Phil

Once the adjustment screw is set to the require pressure the capo smoothly slips on and off. It clamps the strings firmly but with undue pressure. Looks durable. Have one for my steel string guitar for 12 years with no sign of significant ware. A bit more expensive than the average capo but well worth it!skywalk2010

The C3b is solid brass capo for 12 string guitars or any wide-necked guitars with a gentle radius across their fretboards. Guitar necks differ in thicknesses and shapes so this capo (like all Shubb capos) has an adjuster that enables it to fit any neck size. Once adjusted and clipped into place, it does the job perfectly. I have several other capos, including others by Shubb, but prefer the positive, reliable action of the solid brass or chrome models. You can buy cheaper, wide-fitting capos that are not as effective or durable. I recommend the Shubb C3b capo for wider necked, steel strung guitars.orm_uk2014

I have marked this as good value and whilst I'm not in the habit if recommending stuff, I can say that I have a number of rather expensive flat top guitars , I use those expensive picks but see no reason to use anything but this particular model of Shubb capo. I have a separate capo for each guitar kept in its own pickbox in the case. I answered "enjoyable only because to NOT say yes gets complicated. First of all, this capo doesn't work at all. And that really isn't surprising. I may have just gotten a bad one. Understand that I have two 6 string Shubb capos that I love and would never part with. That's why I was shocked at this 12 string capo. Now let's take a look at what's wrong with it. There are two pads on these capos: one pad goes against the back of the neck of the guitar and the other pad (the big pad) goes over the strings. The two pads should line up reasonably well. This one doesn't, to say the very least. It looks like the arm that holds the neck pad is WAY TOO FAR to the inside of the capo. This looks completely wrong and the capo doesn't work. What happens is that the neck pad digs into the neck and pulls the string pad sideways because of the misalignment. Again, I want to make it clear that the Shubb 6 string capos are the best capos I ever owned and I even bought a second one. What may have happened is that they might have accidentally put a 6 string part (the arm that holds the pad that goes against the back of the neck of the guitar) on this bad 12 string capo that I bought. Also, my 12 string capo doesn't look like the advertised picture at all. The pads line up fairly well on the advertised picture of this 12 string capo. But you can look at the attached picture of the 12 string capo that I bought and they are not the same at all. I'm going to try to get to the bottom of this somehow. I just did a comparison between the 12 string capo and my 6 string capo and I can see that the arms for the neck pads are identical on the two. The arms should probably be considerably longer on the 12 string capo.FlatPicker

Kyser capos are great. Their reverse style design doesn't contact your hand while playing. They are a more expensive than competitor capos. One downside is that the springs tend to break if you use it alot. And this usually occurs after the warranty expires. Almost impossible to fix. Other than that they are great.njweb60

Having tried Shubb S1 and other KG6B-style capos, I keep coming back to Kyser KG6B capo. It clamps down on the strings at the correct pressure. As the name suggests, it is quick to fit or remove. The protruding 'arms' can get in the way when playing the 'first fret', but rarely. It works well on electric guitars like Strats as well – Shock!! : oRegular J.

I have a nice, custom guitar that I thought was having serious issues with intonation. After getting it professionally setup a couple times, I was still experiencing the issue. Then I realized that it was really only when using a capo. I have a Kyser quick-change that I was using, but it was the standard-issue normal tension capo. It worked great on my acoustics, but applied a bit too much pressure on my electric. Switching to this low-tension capo has solved all of my problems!RONNIE

I've had a lot of tuning problems in the past when using other capos. This one seems more balanced on the fret board and tension feels good. Would recommend. High end product.xxatra1nxx

I've been in search of the perfect capo for my acoustic guitar. Still looking. I now have three capos, two of which are less expensive and work better than the G7. It doesn't fret the last E string, in either direction. Meaning it I place the capo staring with the low strings, it wont properly fret the high E, and vice versa with the low E. Not even usable to me, and I'm curious as to others' opinions of the capo. Live and learn.sanrichie

The Paige Capo is just as good and works just as well as the High Dollar Elliott Capos. Construction is basically the same and the appearance is pleasing. I have five of them and use them on my Marin Guitars. Glad to pay what I did for something that performs with ease and didnt pay $170 or better for the Elliott.rodgerd2007

Perfect. Compact, out of the way, looks great. Great quality. Doesnt stick out like a sore thumb like a Kyser or other clip-ons. I like that it stays on the guitar as well. Ill eventually just get one for every guitar I own.rompo420

This capo is very difficult to open. You must exert tremendous pressure from the inside of the capo to open it. Once it is installed on your guitar you are relying on putting undue pressure on your guitar's neck to remove this thing. Just don't buy.
