I waited until I had this awhile before submitting a review. I was a little disappointed that the fret ends overlapped the neck binding just a very tiny bit. But it's not noticeable at all when your playing and I've gotten totally over that. This thing is absolutely beautiful, it is so fun to play, and the Seymour Duncans are the best. Never has such fantastic tones came out of my little tube amp before. Those pups seal the deal. This thing has more sustain that any electric guitar I have ever owned. Some people complain about the giant ornamental headstock. But I believe that is partially responsible for adding sustain because it adds a lot of mass to the neck.Dave
My wife got me this for Christmas, at one of the "Deal of the Day" prices. As someone with 10+ guitars, including American Gibsons and Fenders, I can't recommend this enough, particularly at the DotD price. Out of the box, setup and intonation were fine, the action is nice and low, and it plays great. No buzzes anywhere on the fret board. Great tone unplugged, even better with the P-90s when plugged in. Quality wise – it gives up very little to guitars costing a lot more. The tuners work well, the bridge, knobs, and switch gear are all totally fine as well. The Duncan P-90 pickups sound fantastic, and you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of other guitars with American pickups at that price. The nut is plastic, so if you were looking for something to upgrade, that would be where I'd start. The frets could use a quick polishing and the board could use some lemon oil – but that's true of every single new guitar I've ever bought in this price range, so nothing new there. I love the blue burst color, and the guitar is super light in my hands. I really wanted a hollow or semi-hollow with P-90s, and this really scratched that itch at a fantastic price. I wouldn't hesitate to get another D'Angelico after owning this one!Amir
My D'Angelico SS Boardwalk came with 4 wire USA Seymour Duncan "HOT ROD" pickups (SH2 & SH4). It also has a 24 3/4" (Gibson) scale, a thin-taper C-cut neck, a 14" radius with medium jumbo frets, and a durable 2 piece maple neck which is flawlessly finished in thin Poly (not nitro). The factory fret-job is as least as good as my factory PLEKKED Gibson. The playability is great, and visually (as you can see) it's comparable to the ES-335 (I actually like the sound of USA Seymour Duncan SH pickups better than Burstbuckers).Tim

Fresh in from for 2018, are a couple of incredible additions to the almighty contemporary archtop series. although more famous for their insane range of solidbody electrics, have a rich history in the hollowbody game and these models punch well above their modest price tag. the afc95 in violin matte is a great feature of their catalogue. with beautiful flamed maple back and sides, with a lush spruce top, this guitar looks absolutely stunning. capturing all the bite and resonance of a classic hollowbody the afc95 is perfectly suited to a wide range of styles. the 3 piece mahogany/maple set neck feels great underhand. smooth and rich, the bound ebony fingerboard has classically styled acrylic block inlays that add to the vintage appeal. benefiting from 20 medium frets and flatwound strings it provides tight response and super smooth playability. the ebony bridge and vt14 tailpiece with afc wood cover offer precise tuning stability and a really sweet playing action, it definitely adds to the organic appeal that this guitar has. loaded with a pair of magic touch-mini humbuckers, the afc95 has great sonic character. it packs a killer punch and offers rich, nuanced tone with clear articulation at both ends of the sonic spectrum and a crystal clear response. at under £600 this guitar represents incredible value for money, this is a guitar you are not going to want to overlook.

It's an Ibanez. I am a long time Ibanez fan. Even when they started the Artcore series. I own for PRS CU24's; American Fender Strat Deluxe and Tele; Les Paul elegant and Explorer. Except when I'm playing with our group I'm usually on one of my Ibanez. If they are lower end units like this I expect to change the electronics, nut and tuners. I did the tuners and had planned on installing Seth Lovers. Mean while I put some A4 magnets in the pickups and… NO SETH LOVERS! I love the tone, the responsiveness/sensitivity. See can be smooth as silk with the volume back or nice and crunchy @ 10. Pinch harmonics reach out and grab you in a nice way. Other than the tuning pegs, nut and strap locks she'll stay this way for at least a while. I got her for the color (I'm not into green guitars or fade finishes but she caught my eye for some reason) and what a friend "the Pickle" has become.Mondron
If you want a good looking semi-hollow body guitar that plays and sounds OK, this is probably the best value for money guitar out there. You still get what you pay for, but i think Ibanez has found a good balance in that regard. Craftsmanship : It looks amazing and sounds great for such a cheap guitar. Of course there are some features that could be better, but none of these really affect the looks, playability or sound of the guitar. Sound : the pickups are a little hot and punchy for me, but for a pair of cheap pickups they sound pretty good. They give plenty of output for a good fuzzy sound but also sound reasonably good clean. This guitar can handle a solid rock sound and a decent clean sound as well. A little bright maybe, but you have the individual tone controls to remedy that if you wanted to. Plenty of sustain too. Neck : If you're coming from a Fender electric guitar it could take a little getting used to the smaller scale length, the bigger radius of the fretboard and the smaller string spacing. But nothing dramatic. I would think this is the perfect beginner guitar for those reasons. The neck profile feels good to me. All in all a great guitar for the money.
This is an extremely nice guitar, especially for the price. Great action, set-up, and play-ability straight out the box. Humbucker pickups are nice and warm, giving a nice "dark" tone to the guitar (strong bass and mid-tones) to my ears. Good variation of range of tone from the bridge and neck pickups and so is quite versatile. Lovely overtones/ harmonics going through a Blues Driver into an Orange Micro Terror — you can rock with this! — and the guitar combined well with a Roland Jazz Chorus 22 cancelling out some of the brightness of this amp. Quality of components and finish is very good. It's also a light guitar in terms of weight, so it's a practical instrument to play on stage, especially if you have a long gig — and are starting to get on a bit, like me. Of course, it's green, which might put people off, I guess… Then again, it's very eye catching and people won't miss it on stage! In summary, a great guitar at a great price that provides a different blues or jazz tone in addition to your other instruments.Damian F.

This guitar has been lovingly played, but not abused. some scratches by the bridge, as shown, a few tiny scuffs here and there that are hard to even see. owned by david waters, who was inducted into the western swing music society of the southwest this past july. it has been used on several ward winning recordings by billy mata and the texas tradition, a crackerjack band if there ever was one. not shown are a well fitting hard wooden case and a beautiful hand tooled leather strap with the word "kodak" on it. mr. waters names all of his guitars and this one being an eastman, he felt that kodak was a fitting name. kent armstrong floating jazz pickup. fully carved spruce top and flamed maple back and sides. sounds great unplugged or amplified.

Real pleased with my purchase. I don't think of price when I buy a guitar as they are inflated lately. In saying that, This guitar required a few things to get it playing well. Frets needed to be polished. Strings replaced with diadero 10s XL. Cleaned the nut slots, and finally made a large adjustment to the truss rod, bridge and stop tail. The number 2 position with the bridge pickup in single coil mode, works amazing for me. Impressed totally.StevanC
