Reviews:
If you want to play different styles with the correct bass sound, be creative, or just have fun this pedal serves that purpose. Amazing amount of pedal simulators. Create your own sound and more. I bought this for old school Funk sounds and to create tones for original material. Cant go wrong for the price.dahug-71
Overall: I've had this pedal for a couple of years. I originally bought it for practice but I've been gradually replacing my pedalboard with it mostly because of three reasons:1. The compressor and limiter simulations are top notch. 2. The reverbs and delays are as good as any I've used before. 3. The Ampeg SVT simulation is something that I keep going to.As a bass player I only need very few effects and a good compressor. The rest of my sound comes mostly from the type of bass I use and my fingers. This pedal is perfect for all your effect needs. I'm surprised that more players don't use this pedal. Its cheap, easy to use and versatile.Sotero
I bought this a couple years ago. One of the best pedal/ effects purchases I've made. I have other much more expensive modeling systems/ multi effect units, and preamps. This is the only one I won't let go. It is simple, small, packed with options, and sounds good. I use it at home and I have used it live several times. It always goes with me in my case. For the price…. If you find at least two effects you like, then it has already met it's value. Simply put, what I bought to be used as a backup finds it's way to normal use often.

Reviews:
I have to say that I have owned & giged with the BP50… I used it for mostly the Amp mods (which are pretty versital for such a little guy), the Tuner (not great for outdoor gigs), and that I could use an EXP pedal (although parameters are kinda limited, they are very cool). The 4 band EQ and the fretless effect are the only other effects that I thought we're worth the price. Lots of useless stuff, slim-if-no parameter settings on most functions, make it a bummer. But overall little work to figure out, and pretty easy to use. Sturdy case for Plastic, the buttons are a bit cheezy though (one look inside will tell all. key work here is plastic… booo. Since this review is about the BP80 not BP50, I have to tell you that there is little difference. Not like I expected too much, just maybe a little more versatility in parameters or something. Nope, pretty much a let down. The aforementioned stuff and the fact this has a built in expression pedal (this does have some pretty cool functions of its own varing from the BP50, does increase the cool quotient) make it a sightly better choice than the BP50. Both are awsome practice tools, with built in drum machine and good tuning (pitch) control make this pedal ideal for the practice room only. Not super gig-worthy. On a scale from 1 – 10 (10 being an Eventide) I would give that BP80 a 6.5…bigbassgonzo
I manage a band back here in Riyadh,Saudi Arabia. Digitech is a big name in effect pedals but unfortunately not available here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I bought this BP80 effect pedal as a present to my bass player and we both fell in love with it after he tried it, and for a used one like this, the price was just right. We're really happy to have it!!!mannie54

Playing old bass lines on a new effects-based level, is alot of fun! If you can make 'em guess, or not recognize it, while playing it correctly, you made a little magic! I love music, besides, we enjoy "playing" to music when we aren't playing music, so why not a little surprise?!! ha,ha! Good clean fun with a little kicker in the mix! YAY!stonewall2
This effect pedal has SO many great amp and cabinet models and the response is very fast. I use it with an inexpensive solid state amp for some live gigs and get this really cool tube sound that listeners and myself are amazed at! Takes many hours to figure it out (user manual is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!) but once you dial it is a fantastic tool at this price.Seasoned Bassist '62
The BP90 is an affordable and versatile little multi-effects pedal that allows you an astonishing range of control over what tone comes out of your bass. With 10 separate variables to manipulate at any given time, you can very easily make your bass sound like an entirely different instrument- quite likely one the world has not yet heard. Exactly what kind of mileage you can expect to get from it is going to vary heavily with your intention. If you're the type of musician who's often looking for new and unique sounds to experiment with, or simply new to the world of bass effects and in need of a hearty sampler of what your instrument is capable of, this handy tool is all but guaranteed to inspire, with 50 unique presets (ranging from the utilitarian to the absolutely cartoonish), and a handy two-button system for mixing and matching tones and effects from the preset library (resulting in a few hundred spontaneously-generated tones just to get you started). Throw in the ability to fine-tune any of these sounds to your exact specifications and you've got yourself a comprehensive world tour of bass effects. This is excellent for musicians who want to know what sort of sounds they can create before springing for a higher quality pedal to finish the job, or who simply prefer to travel light. Where this pedal really shines, however, is in tandem with any looper. Being able to command so many unique tones all at once gives you an entire band at your fingertips, making live-looping performances with the BP90 an absolute spectacle. At its price, this pedal wears its digital nature on its sleeve, so some degradation of sound quality is inevitable. The "bypass" setting is practically a joke, so musicians who have worked hard to establish the perfect analogue tone likely need not apply. A separate bypass pedal may be necessary for those who wish to drift from a clean tone to one of the BP90's effects. Still, creative bassists and performing live-loopers will love this one.Blue

Reviews:
I've got both the GT-1 and the GT-1B units and they are so different. I don't know why, but I find the bass unit much easier to use. The effects shapes that you want are so much easier to dial in. Maybe it's something to do with the distortion types that each unit tries to emulate – you get loads on the GT-1 and only a few on the GT-1B. And the amp emulations too – you get maybe 1/2 – 2/3 on the bass unit. What I would say is that it is well worth spending some time doing a deep-dive of the sounds you can get out of this unit. There's not much help here, you will have to grind to get the sound you want, but it probably will be there somewhere. The Boss Tone sounds lab will only get you so far and there really aren't any shortcuts that I've found to the sort of tone I want for any specific patch. It's worth spending the time noodling around with the unit and at least you can set up a load of blank presets by whatever category you want (I set up amp emulators in 10-set batches). Would I buy it again? Yep, absolutely. If you asked me that about the GT-1, I might not be so sure.Cat F.
The BOSS GT-1B is a really great piece of kit. Was obsessing with synth pedals but couldn't decide which one and then would require an expression pedal etc. The Boss SY-1 doesn't offer presets. I'm pleased with the GT-1B – many many possibilities for designing patches, built in expression pedal & 99 presets. Loads of PROS – Great value. The potential options for combining effects is vast. The build is great, knobs & buttons work easily. I dont use it as a standalone but combine with some analogue pedals, which is a good set up. Still saves plenty of space on pedalboard. CONS – you have to put some graft to get familiar with the software and best usage. There are instructions for the basic operation, using the buttons/dials on the unit but to get the full hang of the software for assigning parameters within patches, BOSS do not supply much info. There are some useful vids online though and chat on talkbass etc – Octave fx doesn't always track brilliantly. Is OK and perfectly usable, but not long sustain. – The Synth fx can be a bit OTT & erratic, if up too high. But great synth type sounds achieved with combining envelope, fuzz, octave, wave etc I haven't used any other effects processor so can't directly compare, but the unit has more than surpassed my main reasons for buying it. Lot of fun discovering new sounds, building a library of patches.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
Great pedal, exceptional value for money! Sounds great, can get some real bass tones through it without sacrificing too much and with little to no feedback when cranked up. Only issue is that I’d say better quality switches could be used, feel a little cheap and heavy when switching but other than that, ace! Looks great on the board and the lighting of the knobs makes the whole board light up just the right amount Would recommend !Brett E.
Used this through a JP bass cub bg120 amp and found the overdrive was noisy. Didn’t find the tone to my liking. The compressor just knocks back the volume way too much. Lots of effects, but doesn’t perform very well. Sent back for a refund as I knew I wasn’t going to get on with it.

I just got it, I'm learning the bass, chose this for my first pedal so far the good stuff they say is on point. That being said I was disappointed with the battery set up. It takes a screwdriver, there is 4 screws the batteries are mounted under the bottom plate with small short thin wires going to the main unit
so it takes a few minutes to recommend getting a power cableCharles Turner

This actually had me in tears when I first used it. Funk 1, #69, gain all the way up, you are welcome. Hilarious. It has a great selection of preset tones and really adds a fun variety to your playing. Highly recommend especially at the price. It can’t be beat at the price point for what it offers.Jason

Reviews:
This is my favorite piece of equipment in the studio and Live. It is the greatest for mastering recordings to CD. When finalizing a mix you need to hear the mix at loud volumes on loud hi fidelity speakers to see if the hi end is not too harsh and the lows are not to muddy. The included Ultramizer Fx is a sonicmaximizer 2 band compressor that keeps the mix contained and averaged. Best I ever used and I've used a lot. You can set an average RMS signal which keeps peaks from jumping into red DB range and distorting. This thing really polishes the mix. A one time setting tuned to your speakers is all you will need. I use it live and it doubles the volume of the pa by keeping the average RMS signal intelligently and transparently containing a full sound. Our ears hate harsh hi end at loud volumes and the Ultramizer contains them while pumping up bass which our ears love as per the Munson Fletcher Loudness Contour Curve effect. It also protects speakers by stopping abrupt dynamic bursts that can blow up your speakers. After setting up your speakers with the virtualizer just pushing the in out button will blow you away at the thickness and polish of the mix. Set the crossover freq at 2.5 k. Djs use sonic maximizers to get that pumped up sound. This is 10 times more effective. Also the Delay Reverb multi is smooth and articulate. I have 3 in my home studio. I can say you have to hear it to appreciate what it does. Best mastering tool ever. Best PA tune up sound maximizer. You can shove the master Faders into the red and even at maxed levels in the red it stays Crystal clean. So many nice stereo fx you will be using it all the time. Even as a delay reverb it is perfect for a fine tuned live mixer and you will love it. It is a pitch transposed and can really beef up the love end if the bass. If you are interested in fat polished mixing you will love it. A tweaker dream.Mark Mark
I might be a bit late in writing this review, I've had this thing for 20 yrs. now and it hasn't changed much in design much at all. After 20 yrs. I'm still finding new combinations of effects I hadn't used before. One of my favorite effects is vinyl which makes a scratchy vinyl record sound, it's a nice recording effect to start or end (or both) a recording with. I also like running a drum machine (when i use one) through the enhanced effect give a nice, clear, sharp sound. I'll say it again, I've had it 20yrs, it's been dropped on numerous occasions and as the saying goes "takes a licking, keeps on ticking"!Smitty & Steve, Guitars & Goodti
Although this would be my first effects processor ive bought and dont have anything to compare to it, Im really happy with the purchase. After opening the package I noticed its very light weighted, and easy to carry around. I plugged it into my Behringer mixer and it worked great. The interface is designed nicely, and the knobs turn smooth. I mostly just bought it for the reverb effects and they have some pretty nice reverb presets that ive been using, but it only comes with about 12 or so. I will say there is a ton of effects ill never use on this device. If you are looking for a cheaper way to get live effects, I dont think youll be disappointed with this unit.jaki-6278
8. Line 6 Bass Floor Pod Multi-Effect And Amp Modeler
Product Details:
This is a line 6 bass floor pod. it is a multi-effects pedal for bass guitar. it is used, and is being sold on consignment. however, it has been tested and found to be in working order. it has a few scratches, but nothing in the performance is impeded. it comes with a power cable as well. available online or in-store!
Specifications:
Finish | Black |
Year | 2000s |
Pedal Format | Floor Unit |
Reviews:
This is a fine unit that has tremendous functionality and given some time and effort there is almost no tone that cannot be extracted from this unit. Unfortunately Line 6 goes out of their way to make it an unpleasant experience. Unless of course your willing to fork over more money for software that other companies would give you for free, or at least substantially less than Line 6 charges. You shouldn't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a unit followed by hundreds more for some software to get the most out of it. Line 6 is the worst, but the POD Pro XT is a good unit.recnepsterb
For a nine year old effects floorboard, this is a great value for someone (like me) who wants several effects without spending $100-200 per pedal. Line 6 is generous with this one, Ive only had it two weeks and theres still plenty of sonic discoveries to be had. Cant compare it to Line 6s new units, but this one looks cool, sounds even better. Couldnt care less that it happens to be all modeling, I can plug a bass in, then in the blink of an eye pick up the guitar without unplugging from the bass amp and still get a huge stellar amp tone for ultimate chunder. Get it, for $200-ish its a steal!aig-man
This is a pretty good bag. The quality is excellent and it looks/feels like it will last quite a while. I bought this for my Line 6 Pod hd500x and it works "ok" for it. The bag could be a bit more snug so the Pod does not flop back and forth when you carry it. Length wise there is extra room and a spacer which allows you to carry some extra cables or a power strip, but I am talking about the snugness on the top and bottom. I may try adding an extra foam pad to see if this helps. I know this bag was not specifically made for the Pod so I can't fault it too much for not fitting 100%. It is a great deal for the money!jkelly517

Specifications:
Reviews:
Pretty much the best headphone amp for bass. The world of multi effects is moving so fast right now that if you just want a cheap multi effects unit, you’re better off paying the tiny amount extra for a valeton gp100 or similar. But for just practicing with headphones this is amazing, it’s small, light and portable. It runs off AA batteries, 9v or any USB charger/battery pack and outs to headphones or amp. Plug in headphones, a track from your laptop or whatever and jam. Forget all the terrible headphone amps like the amplugs or the overpriced ones like the fender micro and just use one of these instead. For practicing wherever whenever with a solid bunch of effects 5*. Overall review 4* just because purely as a multi effects pedal it is a bit outdated and underfeatured, but the portability means it still has a great place for practicing.jon m.
I enjoy B1X4 alot. I bought it to have the capabilities to access different sounds on my bass rig. But most importantly is the expression pedal. I use a wah pedal alot in my playing. It has a good stock clean wah sound and a good distortion wah sound. I dig that so much for the value. The best part of this unit is the ease of adjusting the levels and settings of each patch. This board gets 4 stars from me. It's great for studio work and practice but for stage work it's plastic, small and delicate body could get damaged easily. I'm a big guy with large feet and sometimes I would hit both pedals which brings up the tuner. I have since added a bass crybaby wah pedal, a pre-amp,fuzz,octave, compression pedal unit and a chorus pedal to my arsenal and still use the B1X4 together on my pedal board all together. It serves as a tuner and I use a few patches on it. It serves me so very well. The Zoom B1X Four is a great board with many, many uses and advantages for any bass player at all levels.1978circa3-9
Overall: This is a super cool effects unit for the price point. You can spend $100.00 or more on JUST a volume pedal or a looper or a rhythm unit separately. To have all of these plus the great sounds in this package is the true definition of bang for the buck. This is the best effects box for someone like me: A beginner in the world of stomp boxes who wants to explore the sounds of different amp & effect combinations.A BIG thanks to you all at zZounds. I ordered my Zoom pedal on a Friday & expected it to arrive on the following Wednesday. You gave me the means to track my order & it arrived a day early. I’ll be back to order more soon! Thanks again.Patrick

As a bass player in a covers band, different tones and effects at needed for different artists. Really great fun researching a players sound and putting the effects into a patch. I found it easiest to hook up to a laptop using the free software, lining up all the effects, labelling it and adjusting some parameters. Then playing and rehearsing to adjust the sounds by ear. I got some great chorus sound for Guns n Roses, a decent Motrhead sound, and even some tricky Muse effects. Not to mention various mildly overdriven sounds and a really nice Classic Fender Precision tone. I even got a reasonable (not accurate) cello sound (intro to I Write Sins not Tragedies- Panic at the disco)sirbucketheadthethird
I purchased the Zoom B3n from MusiciansFriend when they showed up back in stock recently. I hoping that the 2.0 firmware upgrade from 2 months ago would be applied to current shipments of the product, but I received the B3n with 1.0 firmware. It was easy to install the device driver (although time patience is key), and the firmware upgrade went smoothly. The unit's basic sound performance seemed like an improvement from the base firmware, and more effects were included with the new firmware. I was also pleasantly surprised that the patch manager software was a breeze to download and use (Win7). In order to have everything available from Zoom to date, you have to use the patch manager to install the patches that have been made available over the past year or so. Patches are .zptc files, so custom patches can be shared and dragged and dropped into the software, and then onto your B3n. You can also use the patch manager software to backup or restore your complete unit, and the editing is a breeze. Swapping patch locations to organize for convenience can also be done more sanely in the software. I now have over 100 effects from Zoom, and 96 patches, all from Zoom, compared to the almost 70 effects and 75 patches initially received. I don't see myself needing to custom design that many patches, so having 150 available patch slots with up to 7 effects chained is great for me. I think Zoom did a great job considering the price point, but there is a learning curve, and you will spend several hours getting it together, so caveat emptor for sure! The snags are (1) the USB connector was a Micro-B, so luckily my son had a cable from his Samsung phone. Most equipment I have uses USB Mini-B. (2) The output impedance is 10K, so an output buffer may be necessary when inputting into lower impedances to avoid 'sound' changes from the B3n. (3) The 6 available pedal effects won't be accessible on the B3n unless you plug in and configure the Zoom Exp pedal. (4) HW/SW Learning Curve!StringBender
This unit has a great collection or really useable effects and simulators and the ability to chain seven 'effects' together is a huge plus. If you've ever struggled to get a chain of analogue effects to replicate the Muse 'Hysteria' sound, then worry no longer- a simple patch/preset on here will get you most of the way there. The interface is slightly confusing for accessing each of these in the chain, however, and takes a while to get used to. It is a metal body, with quality switches that work well and it feels solid and well made. The omission of a DI out is a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. The PC/Mac software isn't great either – you can basically just arrange the banks and patches on the device. Other applications for other multi effects allow you to alter the effects parameters and then save these to patched on the pedals. I hope Zoom look to enhance this software. All in all, if you want a single, portable box solution (with headphone out and aux in!) then this is a very good piece of kit.
11. Digitech Bp50 Bass Multi-Effects Processor
Product Details:
So, the 2000s were a weird time for gear. if you like things that are out there and a little strange, you ll enjoy this pedal. it s a great go-to if you just need a way to run direct with bass, but honestly i like using the bassman amp model with my electric guitar. it sounds better than some of my expensive analog overdrives! this is a great pedal for someone just starting out on either bass or guitar and provides a nice menu of modulation, delay, and reverb effects as well. it could also be something worth throwing in your pedalboard case to use in case your main rig goes down.

On the surface, the Boss ME-20B is more professional than the toy Zoom pedals I had, but what I personally find frustrating & problematic is that once fired up you have to enter another mode in order to take advantage of what's on offer. With Zoom, at least you're ready to go from the word go! That may seem as if it's a little whinge over a minor issue, but I believe that simplicity is the most efficient way for productivity; the less buttons/pedals activated – the less things can go wrong. Thought I'd find things easier on a Boss unit than the toy Zoom pedals I had – but at least they were more transparent..baronvonblues
For the price you really can't go wrong. I'm very happy with it. It's pretty easy to use as long as you have the manual. It looks cool and it feels durable. And most important, the effects sound great! I love the distortion, flange, chorus, wah, overdrive and delay. Octaver is top notch. Synth is pretty good and defretter is pretty good. Also, I'm extremely happy with the combination of the distortion and bass enhance. It keeps a nice low end without making it sound like an electric guitar.joeb1supreme
I use the wah with my Fender P Bass Special frequently. Adequate wahness. Probably there are more dramatic dedicated wah units but this one works for me. When I watch my guitarist plug together all the units on his pedal boards I think, Been there, done that. I like the convenience of all-in-one board. Leaves more time to chat w new people. This unit is a great size. Easily fits into my crowded gig bag. LED read-out is effective. Even in bright sunlight. More and more I'm learning to use the volume pedal as a special fx. Use the tuner every gig, of course. Like the chorus. So far I have not gotten effective settings for t-wah and others. But I'm super happy with the basics as described above. Am using a new, light-weight G-K MB210. The ME20b works well with it. Have had mine a few months – like it a lot – but have yet to fully explore the features. While time will tell, the first few months' appreciation is very positive. Switches and foot pedal work well. The case is sturdy. Don't feel like I have to baby it. Again, if it continues to perform, I will be very happy.trudeau11

Consigliatissima.
