Reviews:
I use one of these for my nylon string Godin Multiac. I blend the nylon with a GR33 synth and run both signals into this amp on the clean channel. The issue I've always had with amplified nylon string guitars is the 'plucky' or 'plasticy' sound of them through guitar amps. This bass amp solved the problem for me. With the amp's treble and bass rolled off completely I can get a very round clear tone by using the guitar's eq to provide the brightness. Very light and powerful, and an unexpected solution to a long-standing problem I've experienced. The electric violinist in the band tried his setup through my amp with almost identical settings and he bought one also! Works very well for bass also, in a small setting.Jan-Mikael
TLDR: BUY IT! I ordered this amp when I bought my very first bass. For years I was stuck with a school Ampeg Little Stud bass from 1973. The bass itself was 40 pounds, and for all of its vintage appeal, I was not impressed by its condition or playability. The amp was even worse. It was a Backline 112 that weighed 50 pounds, and when I performed with it in a school gymnasium with a capacity of a mere 400 people, nobody heard me playing. When I bought my bass I knew that I needed a new amp. Enter the Rumble 100. If this is your first amp, you might think this is a little pricey, but trust me, it is beyond worth it. I'm only 5'1", and while I could carry the heavy Ampeg bass and amp, it was starting to hurt my back. But this amp is incredibly light. I almost expected it to have zero bottom end. But when I played it, I was shocked. The sound was very well-supported, even if it's played with the bass, low, and mid down and treble all the way up (which I wouldn't recommend… I mean, it's a bass amp…) I've loved this amp ever since. But I'm not a "pro" yet, so let me tell you what some professional musicians thought when they saw my amp. I performed with a popular local brass band that has been together since 1980. Altogether they have 50+ years of touring and gigging experience. They're used to lugging some pretty heavy equipment. When I walked in to the auditorium, I had my bass case slung over my shoulder, my amp in my hands, and all my music nestled under my arm. Of course the stage crew at the door all thought that the tiny chick (me) was about to drop everything, so they rushed over to help me by picking up my amp. They went, "What? We're wondering where the inside went, Is this it?" They thought it would sound awful. But that night, in front of 2,000 people (and there was a bass solo), everybody said they could hear me perfectly. The design is simple, the onboard controls are very effective and not too complex, and it plays loud and proud without hurting you.Bass Clef Kid
Like the rest of the bass players out there I've used all of the major brands. From old-school Acoustic Control heads and cabs from the '70's, to Ampegs etc etc etc…Well I've reached the point where that level of stage volume isn't needed for what I'm doing now; I shopped around, and despite some of the amazing combos available, I landed on this one. Actually the guitar player in our band mentioned that he had bought the 50watt version of this. I played through it and was impressed. For me it's the ideal unit for what I'm doing now – I still play some heavy rock (Mountain, Cream, Cactus, Trower), but when volume is required we of course use the FOH and good monitors for stage support. Having the onboard direct out is the best as it allows me to go direct into whatever board is being used, whether live or recording. Don't be fooled by the small size; the size is a real asset in terms of portability. The head is where it all starts, and the tonal range is wide so you can dial in your sound. In a live situation there's plenty of lows, highs and depth of tone. Playing in various size venues is no problem – this will carry without going through FOH in churches, smaller bars & clubs (50-100 capacity). Larger venues or live situations where stage volume is needed for impact or performance, then my personal recommendation is to use this as a personal monitoring device and go through the PA & stage monitor as a direct through the board. One last thing; the amp sounds as good on 3 as it does on 7. Any more than than 7 and it starts pushing the speaker, and not in a good way. But I've had this for several months now, use it gigging and recording regularly and overall am simply satisfied with the purchase. Like everything, this amp has limitations. You're not going to get the punch or volume of a high powered rig, and you really shouldn't be using a combo for something like that. But whether you're a beginner, novice, or weekend warrior or pro this amp, as well as the rest of this product line, is a tremendous option.jb

Reviews:
I just completed my Mod 102 kit. An excellent experience! I was delighted with the quality of components, clarity of instructions, and, perhaps most importantly, the sound of the amp. It is very loud – currently running into my Fender Twin Reverb cab (2×12) and very sweet! I will be running it into a new 1×12 cab with a new Celestion G12 M Heritage 'Greenback' when I get a case for the speaker (on order). My only criticism (and something to look out for) is that the chassis is very nicely painted in gray gunmetal paint. Even following the directions to file all the holes, it is very hard to get a good ground connection at every point a terminal strip connects. I worried about this, and about 1/3rd of the way through the build, took an ohm meter to check all the connections, and as I had suspected, some of the connections were not great (9-10 ohms or so!) So I removed the terminal strips (with the components I had already soldered still attached) and scraped away the paint under the tabs of the strips to ensure a good connection. Re-testing showed virtually zero resistance. I'd strongly recommend scraping the paint away at all holes under the chassis before getting started on the build. Even better, suggest that Amplified Parts leave the inside chassis unpainted (at least around the important holes). Aside that one criticism, I am delighted with the kit and with Amplified Parts. Everything was delivered promptly and they are a class outift. I'll probably try some of their other kits soon.vpmerlyn
I spent three evenings building the MOD102. The instructions are very easy to understand and the amp has a great Fender sound. I had one grounding issue that was easily fixed with a little help from tech support, which was excellent. If you're good at following step by step instructions and can solder well this is a fun little amp to build. Only small issue is the labels. They could stand an improvement.Brandon
I just finished this amp build and it sounds fantastic! I also just finished a Marshall 18 Watt clone and I have to say that the Mod102+ holds its own very nicely alongside the Marshall. In fact, I will probably use the Mod102+ for recording because it sounds amazing at lower volumes (the Marshall is loud AF). Honestly, if I were only going to build one of them today, it would be the Mod. I'm blown away by the tone! Great kit with excellent instructions. Great bang for the buck. The parts all seem to be top quality. I love the old style cloth solid core wire, too. I find it much easier to work with than modern stranded wire. The labels are a bit lame but I covered them with packing tape as suggested before cutting them out and they look fine. If you're thinking about building an amp, build this one.danjbeckett

Reviews:
I saw some reviews prior to going to my local GC store and saw a couple of negatives so I was set on the Ampeg BA210V2. I came in the store picked a Jazz semi-comparable to mine and played the Ampeg. I liked the Ampeg but when I played the Rumble 500 I fell in love with it. I was sold. 15" speakers sound too muddy so I wanted 10". These are solid sounding speakers that don't lose bottom end. It sounded so much like a Fender should. I loaded my Jazz with some Seymour Duncan 70's Jazz Quarter Pounders and an Obsidian solid state circuit board and for the 1st time I had to back way off on the treble and still got the growl I wanted without active pickups. The "vintage" button can change the sound tone to the old throwbacks of the 70's and 80's. The contour isn't overbearing like some amps. At high volume there is very little distortion. I haven't had time to play with the overdrive like I want but it doesn't sound like an old stage ridden guitar fuzz box like so many of the others I have used. It can be used in many songs without sounding overbearing. The cabinet weight is so light. I didn't think something that light would be able to carry the low end well but it does. It will rattle windows in a heartbeat. Will try an 18" ext speaker here in a few months to see what that does. The 200 watt is a fine amp but pay extra for the 500 watt. Big difference in sound even though it is the same cabinet/speaker size. Still playing with the different settings to fine tune sound but there seems to be a large range of Fender tones. This has to be one of the best sounding small gig amps I've ever had.Rev T
Used in a 10-piece band (horns, piano, organ) so lots of frequency sharing and a need to fit the mix. I use in ear monitors, so I don't really hear what's coming from the amp and trust the sound engineer to get it right. The signal I got was clean and sounded good. Impression from the sound engineer were positive (filled the room with minimal PA feed, cut through despite frequency sharing, good stage volume, tight distinct bottom). In general, a good working rig for small to medium sized venues. I am considering adding the 115-extension speaker to take full advantage of the 500-watt capabilities. Do keep in mind that this is a good, lightweight gigging combo but do not expect the sound to be that of Eden, Agular or other boutique amps.Rick
Fantastic amp for the money. Light weight, easy to transport. Very loud, loud enough to play most club gigs. Clean and punchy with lots of low end and very articulate. Has a horn button to give more presence, especially when applying any slapping type techniques. Has a overdrive to add realistic tube type distortion. Works well with pedals. What else can I say? Get one! Fender keeps upping the game! I'm very happy with this purchase!!!Jon

Overall: HAVE MINE FOR 4-5 YEARS NOW. TOTALY AN ALL PURPOSE AMP. GOT RID OF AN ACOUSTIC 15 COMBO OF SOME SORT. ALWAYS HAD ISSUES WITH. ADDED A BIT OF MONEY TO THAT SALE AND GOT MY RUMBLE 200. HAPPIEST DAY. USE IT FOR MANY DIFFERENT VENUES AND INSTRUMENTS. MOSTLY BASS, OF COURSE. PLAY GUITAR/ACOUSTIC THRU IT AND WORKS PRETTY GOOD. IF YOU EQ IT CORRECTLY, IT DOES THE JOB. RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.Roy
Overall: I had an Acoustic B200 Combo amp. I loved the sound of it because it had the same sound as the old '70's era Acoustic bass amps. I like a clean, clear bass sound. After burning up the power amps in two of the B200's I decided it was time to try something else, so I bought the Rumble 200. I plugged it in and turned it on for the first time, and in about 60 seconds I found the exact sound I was looking for – just like my old Acoustic. The tone controls are way simpler to figure out than the Acoustic was. It's nice to have a good sounding bass amp that I can carry with one hand! The only complaint I have is that the controls are on the top of the amp on the backside, that's why I rated features a 4. If they were on the frontside of the top that would be better, but front mounted would be best. But for the sound, quality, and price this is a very minor inconvenience. It's a good sounding and good looking little unit!Brett
Overall: I read all the reviews for this before making a decision between this amp and an Ampeg with a 15". I love Sunn and Ampeg bass amps: that is what I grew up with along with a Fender 100 tube amp that had a four 12 cabinet that rocked. Some reviewers stated this amp was straight out of the sixties or sounded like an old Bassman. They are right. First time I turned it on and turned it up a bit it sounded just like my Bassman 100 but with a deep throaty sound that old school bass players like me crave. How Fender was able to get a true tube sound into this solid state amp is pure genius. I feels like a tube amp. Deep and it seems to have a slight sag to it. Very impressive. I turn the horn off, leave the eq knobs at straight détente, use the vintage button in and it sounds incredible The overdrive channel is a monster to itself: horn off, straight up eq and you can go from mild breakup like you would get with slightly overdriven preamp tubes to an amp maxed out. think of Grand Funk, Deep Purple etc. I haven't spoken about the volume and wattage yet. When you crank it up to where you feel your pant legs wobbling and your stomach churning you realize that this is no toy. The decibels this can put out are truly amazing for it's size. I runs at 120 watts as is but add another 8 ohm cab and it jumps to 200 watts. That 120 is loud as hell and the only reason to add another cab is if you want a couple of tens and it would sound great. Myself, I would add the Fender one 15 cab and get that volume and bass that would take the house down. Looks like a toy, but a real fire breather inside.Mark

7. Fender '59 Bassman Ltd Reissue 45-Watt 4×10" Guitar Combo
Product Details:
The 50s fender bassman was the pro bassists answer to amplifying a great new invention: the fender precision bassð guitar. this powerful 50-watt rig could easily compete with the common instrumentation of the day: horns, piano, four-piece drum kit with calfskin heads, and maybe even an electric guitar through a nice, new 10-watt amp! by the 60s and 70s, the original all-tube tweed 4×10 bassman was popular with rock, country and blues guitarists as a reliably great-sounding and easy-to-use guitar amp. even some emerging british amp designers of the day copied its circuitry for use in their most celebrated designs.in the 1990s, fender released an affordable reissue of the now-collectible 59 bassman amplifier to massive acclaim. many guitarists, tired of experimenting with preamps, equalizers, and effects racks, rediscovered the simple pleasure of plugging into a fender tube amp. the bassmans wide stage coverage, touch-sensitive dynamics and full-frequency swirl make it the perfect vehicle for building a great tone with almost any guitar or effect. the reissue bassman continues to be a staple of the fender guitar amp line to this day. the new 59 bassmanð ltd is enhanced with: genuine lacquered tweed covering. finger-joined pine cabinet for woody, resonant tone. original spec 5ar4 rectifier tube for natural compression when playing hard. internal bias pot makes it easier to experiment with various output tubes. two gt-6l6 groove tube output tubes. three improved 12ax7 preamp tubes. fitted cover.

Reviews:
I am one of those guitarists who does not use distortion; mainly playing 50's, 60's, and country. Having done my research the '59 Bassman seemed to be the ideal amp for me with it's clean and full-sounding tones when used with my Fender and Gretsch guitars. Previously, I had used modern-spec amps and simply ignored the high-gain options, but they usually sound too mellow and a bit muddy when used clean, presumably so that when switched to distortion mode, they aren't too "fizzy" sounding. This amp is hands down the best amp I have ever used; no frills, just Normal and Bright channels with common bass, mid, treble and presence controls. Good for humbucker-equipped guitars, too: simply add pedals if you must, but your starting point will always be good tone, which puts this amp ahead of most others. Higher volume settings are likely to induce a little overload (think early Kinks hits), but it all sounds natural and not contrived or OTT.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
This is well known as a preferred amp for Lap Steel and Pedal Steel players, and that's why I bought it primarily. Also for Baritone Guitar (B to B tuning). SO no surprise that it excels on those duties. The big surprise was that this is now my preferred amp for P-Bass with Flatwound strings, vs. my modern Mesa bass amp. Perfect tonal balance, versatile across all playing styles, warm, and plenty of headroom (I only turn it up to 3 at small club gigs). It also excels on Hollow Body Guitars and Telecasters, giving a very even sound across the registers, with warmth, depth, openness, and room for expression. The only thing I don't like it on is Strats.mhschmieder

Nice pure sounding amp. Not harsh at all and quite honest and responsive.Tommy W.
I'm enjoying the Vox VX50 as a practise Amp, it's small, light and quiet but has a nice tone. I can play it anytime without upsetting the neighbours. The only improvement I could suggest is maybe to simplify the controls, bass, mid, treble and volume is enough, spend the extra on speaker quality and power. Overall good though.Jason S.
9. Trace Elliot Elf 1×8 Combo Bass Amplifier
Product Details:

Beautiful amp, everything you could want from a home/studio/small to medium gigging amp. Everything you would expect from Ashdown, well made, amazingly lightweight and sounds amazing. Only downside is the drive effect isn’t to my liking because it replaces rather than adds to your clean bass tone but that is a personal preference.Stephen B.
So far in practice its been excellent. The real test is in a couple of weeks at our next gig. So far as belowReviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Perfect for home practice, louder than I was expectingReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Massive upgrade on small practice amp, but small enough for home use, where 'lean back' position is perfect. Low end is thick, tweakable mids very handy and DI and FX connections provide good versatility. Can't wait to crank it up properly. Seems very well built and sturdy, and maybe a minor point, but the matt black knobs mean you can always see what they're pointing at, rather than those shiny chrome ones.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Surprisingly loud for the nominal power rating with good tone. DI works well with minimal noise and no perceptible hum on standby from the amp or the DI so easy to work with in church context. Physically easy to maneuver with top and side handles. Very happy so far.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
I recommend this product!Pros: Everything you need to install the product is included! The packaging was well put together. The speaker and box appear to be high quality. The amp is a little flimsy on the mounts but it works. The cables are great! Ive used BELVA cables for several installs and have never had an issue.Cons: There was conflicting information on where to hook up the high signals onto the amp. The directions noted different colors on the cables than the amp did. For the Left or Right speaker. It didnt matter, I just tapped one because its a mono amp.Other Thoughts: There are not a lot of video reviews for this product. The stock amp it comes with allows for you to fill out the low end of you system. But in the end the amp wasnt powerful enough for the application(but keep reading for explanation), so I hooked up a JBL amp and the speaker and box handle the power very well. I suspect the speaker has a lower sensitivity since its a budget product.I couldnt get the power I wanted from the belva amp because I may have been tapping off the low input signal instead of the high input signal. The JBL amp I chose allowed me to select the input signal from Hi2, Hi1, or Low. I cycled through from Hi2,Hi1, and ended up on Low. So I cant truly comment on the amp because I ended up tapping off the low input signal. By the time I realized what happened, I had already gotten the car all wired up for the JBL and mounted the amp so I didnt bother re-trying the Belva Amp.Kyle

Just love the way the compressor kicks in just when you raise the gain or go nuts on the strings.Srikanth J.

Reviews:
As a bassist who plays steadily in restaurants and in house jams I have appreciated the light cabinet of the GK above all. At a foot and a half wide, 2 feet tall, the cabinet fits the cramped spaces in which I often play. Happily, it even fits in the front seat of the Miata MX-5. The sound is widely adjustable. I can get go from a hard, contemporary sound to the old school vibe, as needed. Controls are not complicated, which I like. I have broken things twice in these active 5 years. Fixed without sending it to factory both times. Once I stupidly tilted it back against a wall without any bracing. When it fell on its back it cracked the power cable input port. Pulling it out I got a big spark and a powder burn on the aluminum back. But I youtubed how to pull the amp and ordered the plastic port from the factory. A GK tech gave me a run-down of what to do via a phone call. Repaired it, reconnected it and have not had a moment's issue since. Recently a lightning strike extremely close to my house knocked out the wifi and an entire house circuit. The GK was plugged in during the strike. Afterwards it was not dead but wouldn't play – no sound. Took it to an amp repairman in Shreveport who found one of the op amps was dead. He replaced it for a hundred and I have not had a moment's issue. I'm entirely happy with it. I play a Hofner made in China, which is a beauty, and a Squier Jaguar SS, also a rock solid axe.trudeau
Purchased the MB210-II around a year ago. I was between this amplifier and the Ampeg Ba-210 and actually ordered the latter as an open box product. Well, luckily for me the Ampeg arrived nonfunctional, so I went with the GK for its extra power, and was introduced to a fantastic amp. Since I've played it at rehearsals and gigs, tossed in trunks and trucks, and it holds up beautifully. Its small design and 35 pound weight has my guitar players envious, and I've used this outside with no external amplification and filled up a park with clear sound. Honestly however, it does seem a bit sterile sounding and doesn't seem to have that "classic" tone or "vibe". But in terms of versatility, and portability, I wouldn't have any other amp behind me. Thanks to GK for a great USA built product.Michaeljarrae
I had been playing out of an swr working man 400w with the working man 4×10 for 10 years. The swr is def the king of low end tones but it wasn't very versatile and didn't give me the good active aggressive flea like sound that I wanted. On top of that my old cab weighs 97 pounds and the head is heavy af too. The gk 210 gave me exactly what I wanted. Nice low end but real clear punchy in your face treble and high mid. And it's 37 pounds. On top of every thing I swear this thing is louder at 350 watts than my swr at 400w. Can't wait to play so small shows with itStone(d) cole

This amp is a portable and powerful system. It has a bigger speaker than its little brother the BA110, allowing for more highs and mids to come through, while still retaining a deep bass sound. The Scrambler circuit creates raw distorted tones for a more aggressive sound. At 75 watts this amp can be used for home practice or even small gigs making it a great package. This is a real hands on product review from Erik@ Sam Ash Cleveland.Erik
This 75 watt amp with a 12 inch speaker creates most of the audio nuances that my SVT-4 has at a lower studio volume. Just plug it in with the low-impedance jack provided. I like the way the cabinet tilts like a monitor speaker. It is the greatest innovation. The Scrambler is wicked too! This is a real hands on product review from Warren @ Sam Ash Buffalo Grove"Banjo V

Value for money can't beat it!Reviewed by Kenny's Music custom
I bought this amp mostly because I needed a new one, but also out of impulse. I immediately felt buyers remorse because it was a whole paycheck. Once it arrived and I started playing through it, the remorse went away instantly. I've never been so impressed with an amp before. I had a Deville 2×12 II and was absolutely in love with it but ended up selling it. The bassbreaker blows the deville out of the water. Not in a bad way though, it's like I absolutely love the deville, but I love the bassbreaker more. It's the loudest combo ever. I only crank it to 18w max and we're a really REALLY loud band. Only one thing that I would personally change about it and hopefully we can see it later down the road is a footswitch for true cleans, instead of rolling your volume knob.Coltytiger
I was intrigued when I heard the announcement of the Bassbreaker line of amplifiers from Fender. Knowing the history of that name, I hoped the marketing spin saying it was a revitalization of days gone past was true and not just another ploy to boost sales. So I waited for the reviews. They were good. But I still waited. Letting the impulse buyers, the new and improved buyers and the newbie buyer have their say. The days finally emerged when the experienced made their determination known. My fears relieved. Fender has made good on it's marketing spin. The Bassbreaker is back! Proudly it stands in my studio along side my Marshall JTM45 and Fender Blues Junior, oozing it's warm, crisp tones causing both my Les Paul and Stratocaster weep.HogRydr
