Reviews:
I replaced a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe with this wah in order to free up some space on my pedalboard for other things. I was surprised to find I actually like the sound of this mini Cry Baby better than my much more expensive boutique Fulltone wah. It takes a little getting used to the small size, but as long as you line up the back of your foot with the back edge of the pedal, it's easy to use. Don't try to use the front of your foot with it — it feels super awkward and is difficult to control if you do. Put it on the top row of your pedalboard so there's room for your foot to hang off the front edge. Now for the MAJOR problem: there's no LED to indicate when it's on. I only had to use it for one session to find this was driving me absolutely crazy. I ended up adding an indicator LED, but I have to warn that it's a little more involved than you might think. The bypass switch inside the pedal doesn't actually turn the circuit on and off, it just causes the input and output jacks to bypass the circuit. So there's no on/off switch to pull from for the LED. In order to add the LED, you need to replace the factory 2PDT on/off switch with a 3PDT switch so that can actuate the LED (you can pull power for the LED from right under the power jack). The 3PDT switch just BARELY fits (the gap to the pot mechanism is so thin I can't even see light through it). A standard 3PDT switch is actually a little shorter than the factory switch, so you need to add a little rubber pad to the top in order to make it tall enough to be able to push it with the wah pedal. Anyway, I don't expect the average person to do this mod and I don't know why they didn't do it from the factory.John R.
Overall: Great sounding just like its big brother. Even though the pedal is about the same size as a standard Tube Screamer it has all the travel you will need and engages/disengages very easily. Don't worry if you have big feet, it doesn't matter. You can use the front of your foot or the middle arch area and it moves naturally. Takes a tiny bit of adjustment if you are coming from a full size, but it's worth it for the space and weight it's going to save you. Highly recommend! I gave quality a 4 because the first one developed static on the input jack but the great folks at zZounds had a new one on my doorstep in a few days.Allan
Great pedal! You should buy one! Everything you’d expect from a Dunlop Cry Baby in a package no bigger than any other pedal on my board! Also like the adjustable torque setting to alter the stiffness of the pedal! On/Off switch is central so you don’t have to smash it down to operate it! Internal jumper switches so you can alter the frequency range it sweeps through! Glad I got one! It was a replacement for my other crybabyReviewed by guitarguitar custome
4. Vox V845 Classic Wah Pedal
Product Details:
Vox v845 wah pedal the v845 wah-wah pedal is a new version of the most famous guitar effects pedal of all time. based on the specifications of the original pedal developed by vox in the '60s, the v845 wah-wah offers guitarists the same legendary wah-wah tone in a new sturdy but very affordable design. an ac power connector is fitted to save on batteries and the outer case is coated with tough all-black finish making it the perfect choice for your pedal board. about the vox wah-wah vox developed the world’s first wah-wah effect during the '60s in an effort to allow guitarists to emulate the sound of a trumpet being muted — an important musical ingredient of the day. vox’s original wah-wah pedal quickly gained widespread popularity and its unique sonic characteristics have encouraged further experimentation by guitarists ever since. having made spotlight appearances on some of the most famous recordings of all time, the wah-wah is still considered "must-have equipment” for guitar players of all levels and abilities today.

Great sounding Wah but not true bypass. It really does colour your tone a lot when not engaged. I done the true bypass modification and now it is completely transparent when not engaged. Don't know why VOX don't do this as standard as its only moving 2 wires and changing the switch type…. Nice looks, great sound and seems very sturdy….Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
They say it emulates classic 60s wah tones heard by the likes of hendrix and such. But I'm here to tell you that it does much more than that! I run it before a boss metal core on my board and man does it sound sick for high flying thrash tones! I can only compare it to a classic crybaby, but I much prefer the vox. The build quality, price point and sound all get two thumbs up from me, rock on.

To use a fine old term 'bang for the buck' this is definitely it. If one understands how these work this one delivers the goods. I am easily able to get the full envelope range using a stock Strat. It would improve the performance, however, if the envelope sensing favored the bottom strings a little more which would even out the overall response. Otherwise dynamite! Maestrohealymaestrohealy
This pedal is cool but kind of strange. The overall effect is very mild through clean instruments but is very noticable with distortion. It boosts your signal a bit which will cut your volume if you switch it off in the middle of a song. The white knob does reshape your mid range tone which can either add an extra layer to shape your eq or diminish your eq altogether. This knob always reshapes your tone in this manner regardless of what the other knobs are at. One major benefit to this is that it seems to polish your tone a bit. The difference was extremely obvious when I tested this through my full bore pedal. This is worth having but it's more of a secondary effect pedal. If you need something to go with your distortion/reverb pedal combo and don't want something generic, this is a good choice.gei_57
6. Vox V846 Hand Wired Wah Pedal

Well, its a 1976 Vox Thomas Organ wah. Honestly it seems brand new. It was still stiff and not even broke in. This pedal sounds extremely accurate for SRV and Hendrix type of playing which was exactly what I was looking for. This has the TDK inductor which is less desirable than inductors of the 60s Vox but it sounds REALLY REALLY GOOD. It is also much cheaper price than 60s Vox pedals which makes it a better value. Its oiled up, broke in, and permanently mounted on my board for the next 40yrs.woods964
I did a ton of research in customer reviews on a ton of wah pedals when I bought this pedal almost a year ago there were no reviews on it and I got it anyway. totally glad I did. It is built great and you can get a real nice throaty sound out of it which is what a wah is supposed to do. What sold me the most was better built components and the fact it is true bypass my serial # is 9999 lol. I am extremely impressed with this pedal and you dont get tons of hiss when engaged. The pedal has good range however it takes a somewhat decent stomp to engage which is something I am used to anyway being I have 30 plus years of exp with pedals dont get me wrong its not like you have to jump on the thing. The only thing I didnt like was that it doesnt have an ac power jack input so I cant connect it to my mxr iso brick which is awesome by the way another product I would recommend…getting off the subject sorry back on track you have to use a battery which I have not had to replace yet and thats been almost a year and I play a lot so battery life is another good key factor about this pedal. You cant go wrong if you are a tone freak and want a great wah sound. Hope this helps!GARY L OF GARY RICH GUITARS
This is a more subtle Wah than most. I find it is better on cleaner tones than dirty ones. It is built very well and is very smooth. It introduces very little noise into the chain. This is a very good Wah, but, for dirty sounds I prefer a little more dynamic sweep. I would definitely recommend if you want a more subtle and smooth Wah effect.Coolcat68
7. Boss Pw-3 Wah Pedal
Product Details:
Pro tones, compact designthe all-analog pw-3 delivers pro wah tones in a rugged, space-saving design that conserves precious real estate on your pedalboard. newly developed by boss, the pw-3? s rich mode has a uniquely full wah voice that retains the low-end definition and fullness lost with typical wah circuits. want a more traditional tone? just flip the rear-panel switch to vintage mode for that classic wah vibe. unlike other pedals that sacrifice feel and functionality when trimmed down in size, the pw-3 strikes the perfect balance between practicality and playability. its die-cast aluminum chassis is solid and substantial underfoot, and the long, smooth pedal action is highly responsive and feels great. another issue with downsized pedals is that it's hard to see when the effect is on or off, because your foot blocks the view. the pw-3 solves this with status leds on each side of the pedal, making it much easier to see when the wah is activated.

Reviews:
I play in local clubs and casinos all year. My gear must sound like the real deal or it just doesn’t sell. This is the best wah I have ever played much less own. I haven’t even tapped the extreme flexibility of the different inductors or q settings within the wah. Straight out of the box it was a winner. The boost aspect of this pedal makes fitting into the mix a no brainer. If you are looking for a wah that can do it all this it.Brad
I have owned two other well-known wah pedals before I bought this one. A Fulltone Clyde standard and a Dunlop Crybaby 535Q multi-wah. What makes the MC-404 my favorite is that I can switch between the two inducters -the red or yellow. There are internal pot adjustments for Q and gain that I haven't touched yet. I like the sound of the MC-404 right out of the box. There is a boost switch too. One other thing I noticed is the pedal travel, how far it rocks. This pedal has a bit more of it and for me that's a plus. I have acquired a preference for MXR pedals after buying quite a few overdrives and fuzz pedals. The brand has been solid for me and this wah pedal met my expectations also.James
No brainer purchase for me. A couple things I really like- true bypass, two options for wah tone, and the built-in boost. The wah options give you classic Cry-Baby or something more along the lines of possibly the Bad Horsie. I was very pleased that it is very easy to toggle between these two options live-. You just kind of kick the pedal knob on the side, so easy you could use both tones in the same tune with ease. Both wah tones are very good, useable tones.ALAN
9. Mooer Audio The Wahter Wah Pedal Multi-Function Wah Effects Pedal Wcw1
Product Details:
The wahter recreates the vocal sweep and lush harmonics of the classic wah tone, while remaining small and compact. the smoothness of tone is all thanks to the high-quality electronic components mooer uses.unlike the traditional way of turning on/off the wah pedal, the wahter is equipped with four pressure sensors. simply put your foot on the pedal, and the pressure sensor will sense your touch. an led light indicates the wah effect is in operation. it's easy-to-use design allows you to focus on the performance.the extendable pedal ring can be pulled out from the pedal, creating a larger contact area between the foot and the pedal. this enhances the feeling and sensitivity of your touch. when it's not in use, the rings can be retracted, bringing the wahter back to its mini size.

Reviews:
Bought it as part of an entire Mooer pedal board. The idea was to have a super portable rehearsal pedalboard, and perhaps house gear gigs where space and time are limiting factors. Many wahs have a slight signal boost to compensate for the frequency band being narrowed and to 'cut through the mix'. I use wahs mostly for solos and when I step on this one it's like someone cut the power. I wanted to love it but this pedal is just not for me.Eyore
I have an old cry baby wah. Mini wah much better. You can start on any tone on pedal rather than starting on treble.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
10. Fulltone Clyde Standard Wah Pedal
Product Details:
The fulltone clyde wah does a good job of giving you the sound of an old vox wah, which is, of course, the standard. fulltone uses carbon composition resistors, polypropylene wima .01 capacitors, and a hand-wound "tuned core" inductor. fulltone added an internal "resonance control" which is an internal trimmer for bass and gain adjustment. this trimmer is easily adjusted by hand.

Reviews:
I bought this to replace my Dunlop Jimi Hendrix wah that got stolen. I can't say enough good things about this pedal. Before I start, I'd like to reiterate what someone else wrote about buying local. My wah works flawlessly, so don't be discouraged by some bad reviews. Anyway, I bought the Clyde Standard because I'm sort of a purist when it comes to wah pedals, and didn't really want the extra bells and whistles of the Clyde Deluxe. This pedal is sturdy, sounds great, and I imagine will give me years of wonderful use. It's a little pricey, but totally worth it.505Coyote-myzPu
I had a vintage Vox wah on my pedalboard that I was seeking to replace simply because I was weary of constantly changing the battery or having to remember to disconnect the input cable because it had no provision for an AC power supply. None of the contemporary wah pedals I tried seemed to capture the even sweep of my old wah. I was particularly disappointed with the newer Vox V487 (made in China, not the US-made from the early '90s). Then I tried the Fulltone Clyde Standard. To my ear, it has the throaty sound of the wah-wah found on classic recordings by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, et al. with a very characteristic breaking pointthink "Theme from Shaft." Since I acquired the Fulltone Clyde, I don't even miss my old Vox on the pedalboard.jackinvox
Let me start by saying I NEVER bother to write reviews on anything. I'm a pro guitarist (as in Berklee College of Music), not a garage band hack. I've used a TON of WHA pedals over the course of my life, Crybaby's, Vox, no-name brands, don't even get me started on the junk that Morley makes. This WHA pedal is hands down the best you can get. The tone is so smooth and transparent. It's also a True Bypass pedal. I'm not a huge believer in having to have all of your pedals be True Bypass. However, for pedals that produce noise and alter tone like WHA pedals do, it's a must. I compared this pedal side by side using the exact same setup and cords as a Dunlop Crybaby 535. Aside from the fact that the Clyde blows the Crybaby away in terms of the WHA tone, it also smoked it in terms of noise. The Crybaby produces noise and alters your tone, even when the pedal is off. If you don't believe me, then you've either got bad hearing, or simply have no idea what you should be listening for. If that's the case, even the best gear in the world isn't going to help you. Bottom line, this pedal produces a superb WHA sound and unlike so many others out there, doesn't alter your tone AT ALL or add noise AT ALL whether the pedal is on or off.Add it to your pedalboard and you'll never need another WHA again.MODUS

Reviews:
Best part, $two-ten with discount at MF. Just a quick review for those out there looking for the most versatile killer wah thats true-bypass and fully tun-able. So I've been on a Wah-wah hunt for months now. I haven't used a wah pedal for awhile cause I've never found one that I really liked and that complimented my tone and didn't color my tone. Here's a list of wahs I've been through in the last few months (Not saying any of these are bad wahs, just didn't work for me): Regular Dunlop Crybaby, CAE Wah, Dimebag Wah, Area 51 wah, Jerry Cantrell wah (Second best), Crybaby classic wah-true bypass mod, and Crybaby 535Q. Most these wahs were just terrible for my sound except the JC-95 wah since I like a lower sweep. Having to tweak trim pots by taking the back off over and over wah a pain. Then I FINALLY hit the jackpot with the Real McCoy Custom 3 Front loaded wah. It was actually a pain to tweak too, until I read the directions and learned what all the dip switches and tone knobs did. Not the prettiest wah in the world, but by far the most versatile I've played in all my years. You can get the lowest of lows, and highest of highs with GREAT mid range and clarity with this wah. The RMC3 is true-bypass and sounds great with every fuzz, pedal, and amp I've put in front, after, and through so far. As my understanding this is the worlds first and only FULLY tun-able wah. When your in the middle position it don't even sound like the wah is on, and heel down it's got just as much bass as the amp and set-up, and heel up is never that harsh with super good clarity if tuned right. The dip switches are extremely powerful and control the sweep range of the wah. There's a low, mid, Q, Vol, 2 fine tunes, under the rocker toggle that changed pot taper from faster to slower sweep, and another trim pot inside that can be adjusted to help interact with distortion units and high gain. It can be over-whelming at times, but once you learn how to use the wah it's just so much fun to play. Anyway, this wah is by far the best I've ever played and couldn't imagine finding another better. No affiliation with RMC just wanted to share some info on the wah pedal I finally found.Adambomb
I did alot of research and read alot of reviews before purchasing this pedal, so I had high expectations, and the RMC3FL delivers! This Wah sounds fantastic! I use it on keyboards and always ran into problems with other Wahs, not this one. The best part is just how very versatile it is, by using the DIP switches and knobs you can get almost any wah sound possible out of this one pedal! It will take some time to get that exact sound you want but trust me its so worth it. Built like a tank too, its not just a work of art, its a beast!

This is a good wah pedal for the price. very similar to gcb95 crybaby sound but comes stock from the factory with true bypass switch and led light. so this wah does not suck tone when off like a stock crybaby does. and you can tell when the pedal is engaged visually instead of having to stomp on it and hit a note on your guitar to hear it. this comes in handy in a live setting when you don't want to make unwanted noise on stage. can be powered by battery or ac adaptor. neither of which are included. no box included. pedal has been tested and works as it should. is in like new condition. the plastic is still on the modtone badge on the front of the pedal.

Reviews:
This is a pretty awesome wah. I doubt there are many other choices for a true bypass wah at this price. Also it has quite a broad sweep that sounds very vox-like at the heel and very crybaby-like at the toe. The only thing I didn't like about the construction was that the rubber stopper at the heel is completely in the way of the hex nut that adjusts the treadle. I had to pop off the stopper and then glue it back on later. The overall sound is not quite as smooth and clear as the Budda wah, but for the cost of the Modtone wah I just don't think you can do better. This wah covers a wide array of styles and sounds equally good with single coils as with humbuckers.RackRig527
Great inexpensive pedal. This pedal is a best buy at any price range. True by-pass does not effect tone when disengaged. Pedal has nice tone and decent sweep range. Sweep is not excessive, but ample, actually it is fantastic once you find the sweet spot. Pedal tension adjustment is great. It is not a cheap plastic strap slung over the pivot pin like the Original Cry Baby. Compared to the Cry Baby, the MT is way superior. I tried the Cry Baby and returned it because the tension would not hold, input jacks where noisy anytime you bumped the cables, massive EMI issues, picking up nearby radio stations and static of nearby eletronics, and high end tone hissed and popped unbearably. Basic sheilding and grounding issues. gives Made in America a bad name. There are modification to deal with the Cry Baby's issues, buy my MT Vintage Wah has none of the issue for the same price and true bypass. Same die cast housing for rugged use, same inexpensive price, no mods, none of the problems. The MT does have slight high end hiss if you leave the pedal down all the way (why would you do that), and I said slight, that can be controlled with high freq tone adjustment. Stroke the pedal properly and it will never be an issue. The MT is a great product at a fantastic price. Forget about labels, save your dough and get this pedal. I rate this pedal a nine for price, features, sound, and nothing is perfect.Teleman
The pedal I got did not have a balanced wah sound. With the pedal fully depressed gave me a big volume boost. Backing off just a little gave me a big volume drop and all the way back the volume was ridiculously low and muddy. Bypass gave me a moderate treble increase in tone. I've been playing gigs for almost 40 yrs. I wanted a newer wah pedal to upgrade from my 20 year old worn out Cry Baby. Don't waste your money on this imitation pedal.Icerider
13. Dunlop Cbm535q Cry Baby Mini Wah Pedal
Product Details:
The cry baby mini 535q wah provides the perfect balance of wah control and pedalboard-efficiency. set the tonal character of your sound with the range selector, which allows you to choose one of the standard 535q wah’s four most popular sweep ranges. with the q control, you can shape the wah’s response, from a narrow bandpass that emphasizes higher-end harmonics to a wide bandpass that emphasizes lower end harmonics. if you want to bump yourself up to the front of the mix, crank the volume control and then kick the boost switch to engage the level change. there’s a handy led next to the boost switch that lets you know when it’s active. the cry baby mini 535q wah comes in at half the size of the standard version, and on the inside, it sports the legendary red fasel inductor. if you want to save space while retaining ultimate control over your cry baby wah sound, this pedal belongs on your pedalboard. powered by one 9-volt battery (not included) or an optional ac adapter (not included).
Reviews:
Absolutely loving this pedal. It takes a little while to get used to, especially if you're more used to a regular wah however the applications for this are great. It's easy to use and so much fun when used with other effects. You'll really have a great time with this. My only issue was with the fact that the one I bought, inside packaging had been opened and box was a little dented but for the price I couldn't complain. Pedal works great and I'm really pleased with it. Very worthwhile purchase!Steven L.
Overall: Here it is, the signature wah from the love him or hate him wah master himself, Kirk Hammett. For this review we'll just exclude Kirk, his playing style….or overuse of the wah itself and stick to the sound and use of this wah. After trying out the Dime wah, and a few others (still going to buy the Slash wah later) I decided on this one in particular for a few reasons. One it handles so well with a lot of gain going on, it does not get thin or cut out or sound like tin. This is great when it comes to that. Secondly, the graphics, while those aren't overall important I love the look of this pedal. Now, the downside is that is does not have that wide of a sweep, but the tone and great construction of the pedal make up for it. If you are in a Metallica cover band I say get it, I play a Gibson Les Paul, Fender Stratocaster through a Marshall Code 100 half stack (classic metal setting is near perfect) and can get those killer, sick wah sounds. Check one outJohn
I have been wanting to get this pedal for awhile and I am so glad I did. This pedal is amazing, not only the graphics and paint are second to none especially under the lights on stage, the basic design of this pedal is solid and you can customize your solos with this thing. The build of this pedal is sturdy and Dunlop did a year job with this. Kirk has these pedals spread throughout the stage when he is playing and I can see why, if your looking for a fabulous and amazing sounding wah pedal, you must get this!! Metallica and Kirk hammett fans this pedal is for you as well.Dave

The wah part works GREAT, the volume is ok but because it's so small it's very sensitive and lower volumes takes some practice. Well worth the price. Even though it's plastic, it seems sturdy. Time will tell. Clean sound, no static or popping. Fits pedal board well, about the same size as a regular pedal.Wes

An A-W-E-S-O-M-E pedal! Beautiful Funky Sound! I love it!!! It fits perfectly in my pedal board! Chassis is very tough and resistant, the quality is extremely high! The price has been very good and competitive, and Mannys is one of the most reliable music instruments shops of Oz! 5 stars are barely enough, unfortunately it's not possible to put more in the feedback, but trust me if I say that pedals and shop deserve both more!FABIO

Rmc Wahs are The Best. Period. Fulltone wah right behind it.deanbyb
Owned: Crybaby (hendrix), Satriani, Snarling Dogs, Kirk Hammett and past 6-7yrs the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe (white). Wanted to replace Clyde cuz I do Fuzz, now. Research revealed that wah with integrated buffer was the superior to using Boss/buffer in the chain to eliminate oscillation. Now that I've had the pedal for a little bit and had it next to my Clyde, Picture Wah is the BEST yet. Tone is less trebly, more bold in the Mids and has a wider and more responsive sweep than my Clyde. Clean, distortion, overdrive (pedal or amp) and fuzzed are all superb tones. The pedal setup from the factory is perfect: no need for a volume/mode knob. I would describe the sound as "Smooth." If you need something slightly more aggressive/gritty… my other choice was the RMC 10 (perfect 10). But, this Picture wah is more pretty and the smoothness is up my alley. These aren't cheap, but worth every penny… it makes all the others I've owned look like they were made on amateur night. Whoever made/designed these pedals were cleary OCD and fanatical about Wahs. Thank you for that.MrVinylGuy
