I like the sound of my guitar live…
The likes stop there… the vocal processor is extremely subpar for a unit costing this much.
The looper, even with updated firmware, is way to short to use practically…I use my 75.00 dollar pedal with 3 hrs of loop time. The volume on mine does wonky things, starts out pretty good…then jumps loud…tried it in recording situation….good god no….sounds like a diesel truck… worth about 1/4 the cost….scott monthony

It has been really fun to try the different presets. The harmonies are very nice and clean. To my ear they sound great. I haven't played a gig with it yet….so we will see. There are some basic things that I wish i had known about the interface. Some fundamental orientation videos would be good. I had the most basic problem with not understanding that the buttons were so sensitive. It is almost comical! I would PRESS the button and nothing would happen! But i finally discovered just to TAP the button and everything worked fine. Seriously. Holding the button firmly down did nothing. Just tapping it though… .and it worked as it should. 🙂 Really weird to me! But overall, I think the guitar effects and voice are very good. i'll enjoy this thing I am sure.mhs9417

I've had this pedal for about maybe 5 months, great pedal. The best thing to do is to always read your manual because this particular pedal shuts off. That feature is to save you battery power, or just being on too long when you walk away. I hadn't gotten use to that at first. It pays to read the manual to figure out how to do it. But the Selections in where the layout is for the different tones, for rock and roll, blues, heavy metal, and R&B is it great pedal.astringmusic

It' easy to blow an afternoon exploring the wide variety of sounds this pedal can produce. While many of the effects are great there are quite a few duds mixed in there. You just have to play. There doesn't seem to be that much logic as to how the effects are grouped. You really need to write down your favorites. Out of 100 effects I think almost anyone can find 20 that they really like. The Mosaic pedal is easy to use, and produces a realistic 12 string effect. It comes with it's own power supply, and I recommend using it as it seems to use quite a lot of energy to produce the effect. When I first connected it in my chain, powered by the wimpy Snark power supply, it didn't really work. The light came on when I pressed the on/off button, but the effect wasn't happening. Then I used the power supply that came with it. Suddenly, out came the shimmering sound of an electric 12 string. In short, it might not sound like a Rickenbacker, but its close enough, and much less expensive. If you want the sound of a 12 string, but don't want to spend the money, this may be the perfect substitute.jonaha650

Overall: Ive been using my Roland Gr-55 (w/ GK-3) to add 12 string shimmer to my sound for years. This little box is amazing! Tracking is impeccable, and the controls are so simple I was up and running within seconds! The metal box is sturdily built, and COMES with a muscular 9v, 1.3amp power supply(?!?!) Switching is silent, and the effect tracks tonal changes between pickups well enough that once dialed in, I dont need to touch the tone knob. If I get insanely picky, I kinda wish there was a separate out for the 12string sound, but that would negatively affect the affordable price and kind of defeat the 1 pedal= 2 instrument simplicity. If you never ever wished you had a 12 string, but it antway! You'll see what you've been missingDennis

I have both a 6 string and 12 string Rickenbacker. I don't normally like to take my 12 string gigging because I've got enough other gear to haul around and the 12 string is only used on a few songs. Plus all the associated issues with tuning, string replacement, swapping guitars, etc. The Mosaic does a pretty credible job of making my six string sound like a 12 string. It does not produce a perfect reproduction, but I find it good enough that I'm using it regularly. Considering the technology needed to generate the 12 string sound from a six string instrument, I'm actually very impressed that it does a good a job as it does. And the fact that it is polyphonic is icing on the cake. I've used electronic harmonizers to try and duplicate a 12 string sound, but they always failed in two areas. You could not play chords and the high B and E strings sounded just awful because the harmonizer would try and play notes an octave above on those strings as well (usually rendering this approach useless).. I found that the Mosaic gives a pretty credible 12 string reproduction on the E, A, D, and G strings. Fortunately the upper B and E strings do not get the octave treatment. They remain with the original pitch, but they don't quite have the full tonal resonance of a true 12 string. It isn't bad, just not quite perfect. All in all, I feel its a good product, does a good enough job and I'm happy with the 12 string emulation. I think its a credible option to consider if you need a 12 string sound, but can't justify the cost and issues of owning a true 12 string.bgb92549

Pro's Had this pedal for a few weeks now, very pleased as I can plug my passive solid body electric violin straight in and it seems to balance the impedence just fine, so I don't lose the lower frequencies. Battery life is surprisingly good, also there is an eco function that makes the screen less bright for longer life. First thing I did was test it with cheap pound shop batteries, which lasted for a good few hours, so I was impressed as none of my other pedals can handle that. There is a very useful editor which you can download and gives full access to all of the various fx. Was also surprised that Zoom seem to keep adding these individual plug-in type effects. There is one set of patches that you can load in from the editor, created by a Japanese EV player. They are interesting and can be useful. The fx appear to be in a chain, but some seem parallel to my mind, as there is a mix control with some that seems to be a by-pass of some kind. There are quite a lot of different fx and some are aimed at getting that piezo squeek under control, which is important for EV players as the bow hair noise can be a distraction. The EQ fx seem to be aok at filtering out the annoying frequencies. The looper is quite handy for setting up, the frequency response to my ears seemed ok without any noticeable compression. Not many battery loopers out there, so this is ok for a street jam if that is your thing. It's just basic record, overdub x however many you want, stop or delete. This pedal worked well through my amps and like most pedals works well in that situation for live gig work. For studio, I could record DI straight into my DAW, but to gain a really natural sound used additional IR reverb and IR convolution snapshots that I've made. I also have the Zoom A2.1u pedal which is built like a tank but is less easy to program. I wasn't sure about the plastic base of the A1. However, it has a got a solid metal base and feels really strong+ it's light and a handy size, not too big. Unlike some of the floor guitar pedals I've got that take up a whole gig bag. I can set up my favourite patches in any order that I like, the editor makes this very easy. I can overwrite the presets, or re-set back to makers original settings. Makers patch 29 is one of the best octavers I have come across in a pedal like this. Makes a regular EV sound just like a Cello. Cons: There might be IR on this pedal but you can't load in your own and there is no way to get access to edit the convolution fx. I was overly impressed with the Violin pre-sets, but that's true of most pedal presets, you need to put you own to together to suit different EV's you might own. Overall I like this pedal and can see myself using it a lot because it is light, I can edit on the fly, good battery life, good price, ongoing support via the editor. I bought this pedal from Scan computers in Bolton and their service was excellent and they offered the most competitive price, so all good imo.Peak

This is NOT an acoustic guitar pedal! It has useless settings for sax, harmonica, trumpet, WHY ? They're just a bunch of unusable effects for a guitar, maybe a half dozen are useful. The looper is useless, you have to use your hand to get to it, it ONLY records a 30sec loop, not 24 seconds not one measure , 30 sec. And it doesn't start with sound activation, so the delay from when you turn it on stays in the loop, as does the remainder of the 30 seconds !!! What good is that ? And the pedal is right next to a control footswitch, that you WILL keep hitting and changing the setting as you play. There is no rhyme or reason to the lack of organization in the effects order, there isn't any. Bottom line, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !Badartdog

The main reason I bought this is that i had a Zoom 405 acoustic effects years ago and loved it. This has the same quality effects. The preset guitar types is surprisingly good, the EC preset is very very good. The rhythm is ok, standard level and useful for sure. The looper however is very average, very limited in control and capacity. Overall a very good effects unit for acoustic guitar. Forget the looper!itc_productions

I use this for my Taylor 412 acoustic – going directly to P.A. (I use a Fishman pre amp as well) I play in various acoustic trios and I needed something to boost volume for solos – plus add a little sustain/overdrive as needed. I was pleasantly surprised with the tone, and I had NO feedback problems at all. It really helps put my acoustic leads in the same proficiency level as my electric leads. It takes a bit of tweaking to find the sweet spot between enough sustain – yet not too much distortion – but the sweet spot is very much attainable. There's a slight pop when you click it on – but not enough to be overly noticeable or annoying. I'm VERY happy with this pedal !!Tom P.

The pluses: its solidly built and it has nice blue lights on the individual knobs. The minuses: not inexpensive and did not approach electric sounds for my piezo Epiphone acoustic. Maybe if you have a great pickup system? Or if you already have a magnetic soundhole pickup then this thing can give some sounds. Instead I just grabbed my cheapo Zoom multifx pedal and created a patch with eq–>overdrive—>compressor—>eq and it sounds a zillion times more realistic.Go_Pats

I looked everywhere for an amp, pedal, anything to make my acoustic sound natural. Finally LRBaggs did it with this pedal. I can't express enough if you play acoustic guitar you need this voice print di. I use mine straight to the mixer with the handy XLR out it has. The anti feedback works great, seems to take some of the thickness away though, but I probably just don't know how to fix it yet. I paid 400. Worth every penny.Craig W.

I bought this used through Guitar Center to boost the output of my Eastman 815 acoustic-electric mandolin, which has an internal microphone but was too quiet. I'm a hobbyist but play in worship settings. I was able to EQ the output to sound like the natural mandolin tone and to boost the volume which was important to me, since, on occasion, I play outdoors or in a large church sanctuary. The tuner is a great asset, making clip-on tuners unnecessary. The tone boost gives the mandolin even more volume for those times when you want to play a solo. The unit runs on a 9V battery or a 9v DC adapter. I happened to own already own a 9v DC adapter, and it gave the unit much more power than the battery, which was great. I definitely recommend getting a 9v DC adapter. This was a good buy!Jamie

I purchased this one pedal to be all the pedals I don't want to buy as single units. I have an extensive pedal collection but I have grown tired of hauling around a pedal board filled with effect units I only use every now and then. I decided that a good way to remedy that would be to add a pedal that could function as simple delay, reverb, boost, and modulation. I have greatly reduced the amount of pedals on my board thanks to this unit. The weakness of the VOX Stomplab IG is in the distortion/overdrive/amp selection. I didn't find any that I found pleasing to my ears but I didn't expect to. I did find a few low gain overdrives that were acceptable but nothing I loved. I intended to keep my overdrive and distortion pedals my board anyway, so I wasn't worried about it. The compressor is solid, but a bit noisy. The delays and reverbs are quite good and I consider those alone, worth the price tag. my pedal board is now just a few choice pedals and the VOX stomplab IG serving as single and multi effect pedal. I am trying really hard to like this. With regards to the preset effects, some 9fnthe sound pretty good. But some of them, it's like they are non existent or pretty horrible sounding. The other issue is you are supposed to bypass the effects. But of you do, your volume reduces so significantly that I either have to turn up the volume on the amp, or disconnect this thing all together and connect directly to amp. The last issue is that creating your own defects is pretty hard to understand. The instructions are not very helpful and it is pretty hard to understand the abbreviations used on the box to figure out what effect you are working with. Oh btw, you have to hold the power button down for a couple of second for it to turn on. If you don't it will seem it is not working. So, this thing is not horrible, but the verdict is out as to whether it is something that will end up collecting dust in a cornerJohn, G

For a quarter the price of most reverb pedals this is incredible value. It has a comprehensive range of reverb types with full adjustment for each. Each sounds great and so far I have fpund nothing I disliked. The pedal is quiet, no unwanted hum or clicks and the bypass apears to be full bypass. Some may say that the plastic case is a put off but all the plastic cased pedals i have ever had have stood up well to normal use. I think that this would be the same.Colin H.

I have an Xotic AC Booster and it is one of my fav pedals. At the start of my chain – after the buffer – I have a Compressor, then an old DOD Preamp 250, followed by my AC. I like the sound, but had this setup for a while and was just looking to shake things up. I thought the RC ver 2 would be a great replacement for the DOD as what could be better than 2 xotics in series? Well, not this! The Comp (Wampler Ego; another pedal I like alot) did not play well with the RC. The sound was muddy and lost all definition. The RC alone was OK, but not great. Found the effect of Gain 1 to be pretty darn subtle and really not much better than my old DOD gain pedal. Had to crank RC Gain 1 to full CW to hear much – a very different pedal from the AC which is super responsive. I also found the adjustment for the RC Gain 2 pot to be very awkward for a quick adjustment onstage as is occasionally necessary between songs. So, I was pretty bummed out as I love the AC and I use an Xotic EP booster for regular lead boosts. Just did not work out for me. Hard to decide if I would recommend the RC. Personally, I am very picky about effects, usually use only 2 at most at one time (e.g. Comp + AC; EQ + Delay, etc.) . So I think i would say that I do not recommend…but you may like it.BCY123

I'm surprised at how much I use this pedal. I bought it to boost the signal of passive basses and it does that and a lot more. The EQ points are right where you need them. And because you can preset those as well as the volume, when you switch to a passive bass in the middle of a live performance there is no time wasted fiddling with knobs trying to match the sound of your active bass. Also it's useful as a clean boost on active basses for those times when your hands are busy and you can't adjust your amp in the middle of a song. Just pre-set the pedal to a little boost and any time you need it, you've got it with a quick stomp of the foot. The third use I find for this pedal is with effects. You can use it to put a little boost before any overdrive/distortion pedal it will increase the gain. I love this because I like the sound of the Morning Glory pedal, but it doesn't get quite dirty enough. Most pedals that get as dirty as I want don't sound the way the Morning Glory does so this is perfect for me. And the other way it's useful is to add bottom end to distortion pedals (which are famous for not supporting the low end very well). Preset a little bass boost and when you stomp the overdrive/distortion pedal also click on the Xotic RC.PDGood

The results were surprisingly good, after using some acoustic guitars as my samples and then using a cheap single coil guitar to recreate them. It even captured a passable sitar sound. I'm going to build up a good selection of various guitar samples for future use. You can certainly change between generic guitar sounds easily. A start will not sound exactly like a les paul but certainly gets in the ball park and captured tone can be tweaked with the excellent tone controls before saving. This is an affordable DI from Hotone. It has all the necessary features to make it an essential tool for live acoustic players. One of the best delay pedals I've owned. The stereo separation is really good. Not just a ping pong either. The delays can wash between speakers creating a 3D ambient atmosphere you could get lost in. Like the Ventris it's best used in stereo and with a MIDI controller, and the Neuro App to edit. the size was perfect for the space I had left on my board, it doesn't sound exactly like an acoustic guitar, but it does take a lot of the high end off single coil guitars and provides a lower sounding effect for strumming.636_hill

It is a very good pedal and at a great price. Is it as good as the competition? Honestly I am not sure as I have yet to make my own IR but the loaded 24 bit IR's sound pretty good and the preamp is very malleable plus it has a very decent reverb. I am glad I gave the NUX Optima a go before I spent two to three times more on the others. This pedal exceeded my expectations for sure. Blending is essential to get the most of of the pedal's offerings. Only thing I did notice is it did not really work well with my Godin A6 Ultra but worked great with my Martin and my Art and Luthier 12 string. For best results use the XLR out. I look forward to creating my own IR's in the near future but even without this feature it is a good buy.chsh_5693

Needed a reverb pedal as my recent amp purchase, Marshall Origin 20H does not have onboard reverb. Decent sound from subtle to cavernous. AN expression function on the switch adds more versatility. As a professional recording engineer I've been familiar with TC Electronic for decades. I've used TC Electronic gear for a long time in the studio and have always found it to be the best of the best. However, as a hobbyist guitar player I was not as familiar with TC pedals as I was with pedals by other manufacturers (MXR, Dunlop, Boss, Ibanez, etc…). I've been looking for a good reverb pedal to run in my FX loop because the reverb built into the amp is pre FX Send and since I play with tons of gain I have a gate (TC Sentry – also amazing) in the FX loop and the gate was cutting off the reverb tails. I considered a variety of Reverb pedals but ultimately decided on the TC Hall of Fame 2 for several reasons. First, TC knows reverb, their System 6000 reverb is 13,000 without the remote, 15,000 with the remote. And they are using algorithms from the System 6000 in the Hall of Fame 2 – pretty cool. Additionally, with Tone Print capabilities you get unlimited preset options and the ability to design your own Tone Prints. This is an incredible powerful and amazing sounding pedal. I've owned 8 reverb units over the last 30 years. This is a nice one. I just set it on the spring setting at about 8 o'clock and leave it there. Too much reverb sounds like a joke anyway, I grew up w/ spring reverb sounds from Fender amps like Princeton Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, Super and Twin reverb. etc. This won't sound exactly like that, but for the price it gets pretty close. It will work fine for recording/ performing w/o issues. I did notice it sounds different when using a single coil guitar vs. a Humbucker, that's a standard issue. True bypass is great. You can buy with confidence ,but you need to understand it's not like spending major money on a high end unit. I can say , no one will ever say, "hey that's a bad reverb" who will ever notice that…. maybe some super sound studio recording guy with 40 years of studio time ? who cares, plug it in a dial in a setting you like and play and enjoy.VJ

Excellent budget effects pedal – Great value – Has 3 basic settings Spring/Plate and Hall – Reverb sweep is very limited range, but mix control is almost unlimited (you can adjust to make it sound like your playing in the next house!) – I generally only use reverb to add snap to a dry signal amp, so was not expecting true ambience at this price range. *Pros – Robust build, large sweep controls, very quiet and clean, True bypass, optional 9V battery (you don't see many of those today do you?) Overall: I installed this item on my guitar and plugged it in. Immediately, there was a bunch of static. I traced it to the jack on the bottom of the unit where the line from the input jack plugged in. I can't move my guitar without the noise. The pickup is unusable, and zZounds refuses to allow me to return the unit. I am very disappointed in both the Acoustifex Go and zZounds.Jim
