Clean & cool, vintage early 1960s silvertone 1445 kay made speed demon electric guitar plays/sounds great if your seeing something of concern not described below, please ask… condition description & flaws noted: this is a vintage early 60's kay made silvertone that's truly an eye catcher, and plays great! this guitar was professionally gone over and there are no signs of repairs or refinishing, although there are a few black touchups here and there. the finish is still very nice, but has the expected finish checking/cracks, scratches, dings, dents, chips and wear here that i consider to be minor given its age (see all pics). the fingerboard and frets are in great condition, and only show minor wear. the hardware overall is in good shape. the electronics all appear to be correct, in tact, and unmolested. the pickguard is mia, so it will not be included with this sale. it plays and sounds great with very good action that i am completely happy with.. take a look at all of the pics to see cosmetic conditi

This is a great old sears catalog guitar! i've got it strung up with flat-wound stings right now and it's the perfect guitar for crunchy midrange power chords. the instrument is solid and sturdy and the pickup sounds great. a previous owner has stenciled a lovely little shooting star on it that i think adds to its vibe. i've had this guitar for years and will be sore to see it go, but happy if it finds a home where it's played more often!

This is, i am told, a 1958 or 59 model and i just bought it a few months ago. it s a great guitar, even hendrix, among others, played one once upon a time! i m just selling some things from my collection to cover some expenses. as far as i know it s all original. but being vintage is sold as is . so i have never pulled off the neck to verify the serial numbers, i am told they are stamped at the bottom of the heel. i bought it from a vintage dealer here on reverb. it s a great guitar and plays amazingly! there is a medal nut. the original cupcake knobs and everything works perfectly. it sounds amazing very clean and strat-like. while there are scratches , that s to be expected for a guitar this age and it adds to the patina if you can just imagine the stories it would tell! i don t have an original case for it made for the model, but i will ship it with a small acoustic-type case that fits it. i m open to serious offers , please feel free to send me a message if you are interested….
