Owning a few other Taylor guitars, I realized that I should add a Nylon string Taylor to the bunch. This 312ce N worked out to be a great fit for my needs. It plays extremely well and the sound is so balanced for my finger picking style of playing. I also plan to use slack key tunings half of the time for practice and performances.DMA
Hölzer, Korpus und V-Bracing tragen ihren Teil dazu bei, dass die 314CE nicht nur laut, sondern auch sehr intensiv resoniert. Es ist eine dieser Gitarren, bei denen man sich fragt, wo in aller Welt all diese Vibrationen herkommen und wieso man beim kleinsten Versetzen einer Saite in die Schwingung dieser durchaus volle und kräftig intonierende Klang herkommt, an dessen Stelle wohl die meisten Gitarren schon längst verstummt wären, dumpf klängen oder sich im Klangbild einfach nur anders verhalten würden. Es ist schon ein tolles Erlebnis, eine Made in USA Taylor zu spielen. Der Sustain ist ist schon bemerkenswert, wobei sich dies auch bei ungedämpften Saiten bermerkbar macht, die gerne ungefragt mitschwingen und immerzu einen gewissen Grundklang erzeugen. Möglicherweise ist dies ebenfalls dem neuartigen V-Bracing und der dadurch intensiveren Deckenspannung verschuldet. Aber nun mal zum Klang. Klanglich legt diese Grand Auditorium 6-Seiter meines Erachtens nach einen Schwerpunkt auf den oberen Mittenbereich. Zwar kann man den Klang durchaus ausbalanciert nennen – und die tiefe E-Saite hinterlässt durchaus Bass – dennoch merkt man vor allem, wenn man ein Plektrum mit Schmackes in die Saiten haut, dass es ordentlich rattert in den Mitten. Daran dürfte nicht nur der mitgelieferte Saitensatz schuld sein, sondern auch Bauart des Klangkörpers und ggf. Cutaway. Der Klang resoniert präzise, klar, und dennoch gewissermaßen warm und fett. Wer einen etwas dunkleren Klang bevorzugt, kann sich auch mal das 324CE Modell mit Mahagonydecke vornehmen. Am Ende des Tages ist diese Westerngitarre vor allem Eines, nämlich laut. Die klangliche Intonation leidet kein Stück. Eines ist stets der persönlichen Präferenz überlassen und hier fühle ich mich zuhause: Ein flacher Hals und ein für Westerngitarren angemessene Saitenlage lassen die Finger wie Butter über die Saiten gleiten. Zwar habe ich schon noch einfacher bespielbare Gitarren gespielt, allerdings nicht bei solchem Klang. Taylor findet hier einen guten Kompromiss zwischen Resonanz und Spielgefühl. All meine anderen Westerngitarren sind dagegen Gurkenmesser. Darüber hinaus ist die Verarbeitung gut und auch der eingebaute hauseigene aktive Tonabnehmer macht seinen Machern aller Ehre. Purchased this guitar in December of 2019. Total for guitar, hard case (extra), 2 yrs of maintenance, and tax came to < $900. The guitar was purchased for my 11yo son who has been taking guitar lessons for about a year and is developing a repertoire in classical and flamenco musical styles. Prior to this, my son was using a simple < $200 starter guitar. But because of his interest and development throughout the year (we rarely have to ask him to practice; he does it on his own), we decided to purchase this guitar as a next step up. We tried a number of guitars, including Cordoba, and from various sellers prior to purchasing this particular guitar. It came down to this model and another model from Cordoba. At this point, my son's guitar teacher (who has been playing professionally for 35+ years) volunteered to visit the store and help with our final selection. We decided on this model because of its sound (very important that *you* like the sound of *your* guitar!) and it is extremely light-weight. Additional features include a built-in tuner, amplifier pick-up (so you can connect to an amplifier if you wish) and has guitar strap connectors. Finally, a particular and unique feature of this guitar is the small bevel where your playing arm rests on the guitar. My son appreciates this simple and unobtrusive feature which allows him to rest his arm on the base of the guitar without the guitar edge digging into his forearm. I just bought this instrument and the first impression was good. Good looking guitar, and sounds good enough if you want to practice with no amplification at your home. Then in the studio of the Guitar Center of Tyler, they allowed me to taste the electronics of the guitar while amplified, and it surprised me in a positive way. Purchased this guitar in December of 2019. Total for guitar, hard case (extra), 2 yrs of maintenance, and tax came to < $900. The guitar was purchased for my 11yo son who has been taking guitar lessons for about a year and is developing a repertoire in classical and flamenco musical styles. Prior to this, my son was using a simple < $200 starter guitar. But because of his interest and development throughout the year (we rarely have to ask him to practice; he does it on his own), we decided to purchase this guitar as a next step up. We tried a number of guitars, including Cordoba, and from various sellers prior to purchasing this particular guitar. It came down to this model and another model from Cordoba. At this point, my son's guitar teacher (who has been playing professionally for 35+ years) volunteered to visit the store and help with our final selection. We decided on this model because of its sound (very important that *you* like the sound of *your* guitar!) and it is extremely light-weight. Additional features include a built-in tuner, amplifier pick-up (so you can connect to an amplifier if you wish) and has guitar strap connectors. Finally, a particular and unique feature of this guitar is the small bevel where your playing arm rests on the guitar. My son appreciates this simple and unobtrusive feature which allows him to rest his arm on the base of the guitar without the guitar edge digging into his forearm. I highly recommend that you consider this guitar in your selection process!ED
I just bought this instrument and the first impression was good. Good looking guitar, and sounds good enough if you want to practice with no amplification at your home. Then in the studio of the Guitar Center of Tyler, they allowed me to taste the electronics of the guitar while amplified, and it surprised me in a positive way. I have been playing my new 114ce-n for about two months. It is a very nice sounding guitar … soft…mellow and not too loud. That's what I was going for. I enjoy playing love ballads and singing and the guitar suits my softer voice well. I wanted a narrow neck as I have very small hands and hands that are 70+ years old. The neck is almost too small though. I have played a Martin with a narrow neck and the two compare similarly in width size. I think someone with larger hands would be be better purchasing a traditional broader neck found on most classical guitars. This 114ce-n would be a very good starter guitar for a young person with small hands and needing a softer set of strings for their fingers. I would recommend it to parents looking for a guitar for their child. I think a child would really appreciate this guitar. It is made well, comfortable, not too big and light-weight. The Taylor people provided a soft case for it, but I would recommend purchasing a hardshell case instead. You will have to look around to find a hardshell case that will fit this classical-sized guitar.JERRY
I played this guitar at Sam Ash while my daughter was visiting. I went back to the store about five times to play it, sold some gear, traded in some gear, and bought it. This was my first purchase from Sam Ash music. The service at Sam Ash was exceptional. Thanks, Jeff, in Lemon Grove, CA. The guitar sounds incredible. I am mostly tuning it down to D, although I sometimes tune it all the way down to B. I went back and forth on 6 string baritone or 8 string. I like the additional strings, but probably will buy another baritone 6 at some point and use both. Spiele schon einige Jahre Gitarre. So ein Teil hab ich noch nie besessen. Ist zwar eine Menge Kohle aber einfach ein Traum .Bin vom Klang und von der Verarbeitung absolut begeistert. Auch der Koffer ist richtig massiv und kein Billigteil. Kann nur sagen.. Lieber etwas länger sparen und sehr viel testen.
Hölzer, Korpus und V-Bracing tragen ihren Teil dazu bei, dass die 314CE nicht nur laut, sondern auch sehr intensiv resoniert. Es ist eine dieser Gitarren, bei denen man sich fragt, wo in aller Welt all diese Vibrationen herkommen und wieso man beim kleinsten Versetzen einer Saite in die Schwingung dieser durchaus volle und kräftig intonierende Klang herkommt, an dessen Stelle wohl die meisten Gitarren schon längst verstummt wären, dumpf klängen oder sich im Klangbild einfach nur anders verhalten würden. Es ist schon ein tolles Erlebnis, eine Made in USA Taylor zu spielen. Der Sustain ist ist schon bemerkenswert, wobei sich dies auch bei ungedämpften Saiten bermerkbar macht, die gerne ungefragt mitschwingen und immerzu einen gewissen Grundklang erzeugen. Möglicherweise ist dies ebenfalls dem neuartigen V-Bracing und der dadurch intensiveren Deckenspannung verschuldet. Aber nun mal zum Klang. Klanglich legt diese Grand Auditorium 6-Seiter meines Erachtens nach einen Schwerpunkt auf den oberen Mittenbereich. Zwar kann man den Klang durchaus ausbalanciert nennen – und die tiefe E-Saite hinterlässt durchaus Bass – dennoch merkt man vor allem, wenn man ein Plektrum mit Schmackes in die Saiten haut, dass es ordentlich rattert in den Mitten. Daran dürfte nicht nur der mitgelieferte Saitensatz schuld sein, sondern auch Bauart des Klangkörpers und ggf. Cutaway. Der Klang resoniert präzise, klar, und dennoch gewissermaßen warm und fett. Wer einen etwas dunkleren Klang bevorzugt, kann sich auch mal das 324CE Modell mit Mahagonydecke vornehmen. Am Ende des Tages ist diese Westerngitarre vor allem Eines, nämlich laut. Die klangliche Intonation leidet kein Stück. Eines ist stets der persönlichen Präferenz überlassen und hier fühle ich mich zuhause: Ein flacher Hals und ein für Westerngitarren angemessene Saitenlage lassen die Finger wie Butter über die Saiten gleiten. Zwar habe ich schon noch einfacher bespielbare Gitarren gespielt, allerdings nicht bei solchem Klang. Taylor findet hier einen guten Kompromiss zwischen Resonanz und Spielgefühl. All meine anderen Westerngitarren sind dagegen Gurkenmesser. Darüber hinaus ist die Verarbeitung gut und auch der eingebaute hauseigene aktive Tonabnehmer macht seinen Machern aller Ehre. Optisch ist die 314CE schlicht gehalten, im klassischen Fichtenlook ohne große Verzierungen oder dergleichen. Aber mir gefällt das. Es wirkt natürlich und ich schätze die Details in der Verarbeitung, bei der es soweit nichts zu bemängeln gibt. Qualität und Klang geht bei mir über Looks. Im Großen bin ich sehr zufrieden und hoffe, möglichst lange diese Gitarre spielen zu können. Auch bin ich neugierig, wie andere Saitensätze sich auf dem Instrument verhalten werden. Ich muss zugeben, ich hatte Skrupel, mir das Instrument per Post liefern zu lassen. Aber die Mädels vom Musicstore haben alles professionell verpackt und es ist trotz tollpatschigem Lieferboten und unbeschadet angekommen. Auch der im Lieferumfang enthaltene Taylor Koffer ist ein Hingucker und qualitativ nicht von schlechten Eltern. Informationen zur Pflege des guten Stückes liegen im Koffer mit bei. Wenn man seine Taylor registrieren lässt, gibt es offenbar noch exklusive Informationen aus El Cajon, Kalifornien. Wenn Sie mit dem Gedanken spielen, sich eine Taylor 314CE V-Class zuzulegen, hoffe ich, dass mein Review Ihnen bei der Such nach der richtigen Wahl eine Hilfe war. Dieses Instrument ist 100% Taylor und 100% made in the USA. Wer Qualität sucht, dem ist diese Modell sehr zu empfehlen.

Very nice 2015 taylor 412ce-n i purchased new from alto music. in really nice condition. there is a small ding on the bottom near the jack where i set it down on an a frame stand once. there is a very small dimple behind the bridge that i put there changing strings shortly after i first got the guitar. other wise its really in excellent shape. the ovangkol back and sides are really pretty on this one – beautiful golden color. includes taylor hsc in very good condition.i will entertain reasonable offers.

Physical condition this guitar is in good condition, but it has been played a bit and does have some wear to show for it. there is a long, thin dent on the top just to the left of the neck joint. there are also a handful of other light dents over the body and headstock, but the guitar is in good condition overall! there's also a light amount of strumming scratches present on the pickguard. otherwise, it only shows some typical playwear in the form of some light scratches and dings over the body in various places from everyday playing and handling. great sounding and playing guitar! fretwear this guitar only has some light wear on the first few frets! action action is medium low and plays great, but could possibly use a quick tweak to your liking! electronics all electronics work properly! case original taylor gig bag included!

I walked into GC yesterday not knowing I'd walk out with this gorgeous 314ce. I had a 114ce that has served me well and I've had no complaints about. I've been playing for about 20 years and wanted an upgrade. I love the grand auditorium body style as I enjoy playing finger style, but don't want to give up the ability to strum chords and have them sound flat or stale. This style compliments both play styles well. I tried several brands before from Martin to Gibson to Fender and I've found that Taylor tends to build all of their models with the same level of craftsmanship. What I mean is it is easier to feel/hear a difference between cheaper and more expensive models from other brands; Taylor makes excellent quality instruments at every experience/price level. The feel on the neck is smooth and encourages flawless transitions. The spruce top produces bright tones from the narrow body without sacrificing deep, rich low tones. In my opinion, the 314ce stands on par with any other brand's guitar at a similar price point. I would even pick this one over a Martin that's $1000 more. This review will attempt to provide a balanced view of the guitar itself as I have owned this for over a year. Pro: Taylor brightness. Playing open chords gives an exhilarating zing you can feel and hear. The cutaway gives great access to high leads. The Expression pickup system is fabulous and certainly better than any piezo pickup with the "quack". Great on the G B e strings for leads and chords, sparkling, and bright classic Taylor. It is a beautiful piece with the inlays. Con: There are dead zones on the guitar, eg, the E A at high frets. Not normally a problem but now that I am learning the whole fretboard playing other chords up there is dead, and not just a little. I thought it was strings so tried many – it is the guitar. Playing with a capo, chords also a bit more muted not in contact with the nut which helps the sound resonance. Obviously the low end on this one is poor. I also learned it is poor for fingerpicking which I also started recently. My old Yamaha FG-335 has much better tone and overtones. I have had mixed feelings over time which is why I waited to review. The answer to this is I bought a Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe using perks / gifts to bring down the cost to me. Different price range, but everything I wanted. Am I disappointed? Yes to some extent but then again any bright leads can be done on the 314ce. It has been a learning experience. Play the guitar you are going to buy. Play it at every string and fret. Maybe it is the wood (sapele). The whole guitar feels "tight" and constrained. Maybe with time it will relax. Many people love Taylor and I can see why, those who love bright, this is for them. I now need clear, balanced, and playable across the fretboard.Chris G

This nylon-string taylor has a gorgeous western red cedar top, with tropical mahogany back and sides for a mellow sound. it has a 25.5 scale length, measures 1 7/8 at the nut. equipped with the factory s es-n pickup system and a hardshell case in excellent. as you probably know, this taylor makes it easy to transition from steel-string. and the cutaway gives comfortable access to the higher frets. has grained ivoroid fret markers. near mint condition, showing no pick marks, no dents, no scratches only the lightest signs that the guitar has been handled at all when inspected closely under good light. i bought it while taking lessons, the first half of each session devoted to classical. i m now going back to steel string only, as much as i like the tone rich, quite pronounced of this taylor for all sorts of music.

This beautiful 2020 taylor 618e is in very nice condition, has just been restrung and setup. the instrument is in excellent condition with a few minor small dints and some light pick marks on the guard. overall it is very nice and i would rate it a 8.5/10 for condition. the original electronics sound great and work well. the guitar has the original hard case. just setup with stock elixer medium strings.

I waited far too long to own a Taylor. But I am so glad I waited to buy the 362ceV 12 string. The sound I get is great. Whether I need that deep boom of a classic rock cover or the brightness needed to do justice to Jim Croce. The 362ceV delivers for me. I have had the guitar for about a month now and have played it at over a dozen gigs and I have had more compliments on the sound of my guitar then I have had in years. I love the light action, although with my fingers I could a tiny bit more string seperation. I think the action helps keep the sound clean and crisp regardless of how far up the fret board I am using a capo. Almost all of my guitars require me to rmove the strings to change the battery. With the amont of shows I do, I change the battery a lot! So the battery location in the body of the guitar was a pleasent surprise. I had to play with the tone and volume over several shows to find the sweet spot, but it was well worth the time. The guitar came with a top quality case, another positive as I do travel. I have to say that the 362ceV hits all the right hot bottons on my guitar needs list. I may actually buy another Taylor in the near future and put my other guitars onthe wall!
I know what you're thinking: every guitar I buy is the last one, when I'm telling my wife about it. At my age, it may actually be true this time, so I studied many possibilities before I invested. I could not be happier! The 816ce Builder's Edition is a beautiful guitar, to be sure, but its beauty is more than skin deep. The tone is superb, and the Grand Concert size coupled with the players port gives the guitar the extra punch I wanted. Should you buy this guitar? I can't say. But it is a fantastic guitar that is definitely worthy of consideration! For the record: I also have to include a very positive comment on Paul Allen and the rest of the Sweetwater team. Their care and attention to detail are far beyond the norm; they have a customer for life in me!
This is an exceptionally versatile guitar, I needed a workhorse for small venue solo gigs playing a wide variety of genres and this truly fits the bill. Extremely balanced range with just a hint of that Taylor sparkle that (IMO) is overwhelming on most Taylor models. What I didn't see coming is how this thing absolutely opens up in D Tunings. Best DADGAD sound I have ever heard in person, it's quite incredible. Skip the E version and just add an Anthem SL to this like I did, Taylor pickups are always so mediocre and the Anthem SL's cream color even matches the accents on this guitar.Ryan H

I walked into GC yesterday not knowing I'd walk out with this gorgeous 314ce. I had a 114ce that has served me well and I've had no complaints about. I've been playing for about 20 years and wanted an upgrade. I love the grand auditorium body style as I enjoy playing finger style, but don't want to give up the ability to strum chords and have them sound flat or stale. This style compliments both play styles well. I tried several brands before from Martin to Gibson to Fender and I've found that Taylor tends to build all of their models with the same level of craftsmanship. What I mean is it is easier to feel/hear a difference between cheaper and more expensive models from other brands; Taylor makes excellent quality instruments at every experience/price level. The feel on the neck is smooth and encourages flawless transitions. The spruce top produces bright tones from the narrow body without sacrificing deep, rich low tones. In my opinion, the 314ce stands on par with any other brand's guitar at a similar price point. I would even pick this one over a Martin that's $1000 more. This review will attempt to provide a balanced view of the guitar itself as I have owned this for over a year. Pro: Taylor brightness. Playing open chords gives an exhilarating zing you can feel and hear. The cutaway gives great access to high leads. The Expression pickup system is fabulous and certainly better than any piezo pickup with the "quack". Great on the G B e strings for leads and chords, sparkling, and bright classic Taylor. It is a beautiful piece with the inlays. Con: There are dead zones on the guitar, eg, the E A at high frets. Not normally a problem but now that I am learning the whole fretboard playing other chords up there is dead, and not just a little. I thought it was strings so tried many – it is the guitar. Playing with a capo, chords also a bit more muted not in contact with the nut which helps the sound resonance. Obviously the low end on this one is poor. I also learned it is poor for fingerpicking which I also started recently. My old Yamaha FG-335 has much better tone and overtones. I have had mixed feelings over time which is why I waited to review. The answer to this is I bought a Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe using perks / gifts to bring down the cost to me. Different price range, but everything I wanted. Am I disappointed? Yes to some extent but then again any bright leads can be done on the 314ce. It has been a learning experience. Play the guitar you are going to buy. Play it at every string and fret. Maybe it is the wood (sapele). The whole guitar feels "tight" and constrained. Maybe with time it will relax. Many people love Taylor and I can see why, those who love bright, this is for them. I now need clear, balanced, and playable across the fretboard.Chris G

I have found through playing friends Taylor Guitars I really like the tone and factory on board electronics. This is my first Taylor. I sat down with it for 1/2-3/4 an hour @ Guitar Center, Fell in love with it right away. it has all the Taylor quality and tone in a 2 series cost effective package. The Piano Black Lacquer look of the guitar really looks elegant. I ordered mine to avoid any marks/damage or other issues with display units. It does not play as well as my other 12 string, but that guitar has been set by my guitar tech. Once this one is set up by him i have full confidence it will be just as easy to play. Comparing my Mitchell 12 string and My new Taylor, they are very different sounding Instruments. The Mitchell has a brighter jingly sound. The Taylor has more bottom end punch. I play 12 string as my primary play and having these two different sound really enhances my sound.Cooltones
I bought this guitar to play acoustically in my church choir. When I saw it I was initially impressed by its beauty, construction and low action. It has a beautiful tone, although very bright and lacks bass and midrange when played acoustically. Also, it's not very loud for a guitar with a dreadnought sized body. Regardless, I enjoy playing it and will likely amplify it (Fishman Loudbox Mini) when I do use it in church. I would recommend this guitar as a great player. After playing this guitar at my local South Portland GC, I immediately had to have it because I finally found a great, low action 12 string guitar at a great price! It has nice low action with a cutaway that allows me to play above the 12th fret for songs like Wanted Dead or Alive. Also, the guitar is very capo friendly allowing me to put my Shubb capo at the 7th fret for Hotel California and Here Comes The Sun! Taylor is known for quality but I never would imagine that I could get 4-8 series type quality in a series 2 guitar! The sound is crystal clear, clean when plugged in and very smooth at my fingertips. It also looks fantastic and it comes with a beautiful Taylor case to keep it protected. Overall: Ok so first off, zZounds is amazing. This is the latest to my collection ( I’ve bought 6 guitars from zZounds acoustics, electrics, classicals from Martin, Taylor, and Gibson). I own a 614ce, an HD28, owned a Martin GCPA1 plus, and this is hands-down my favorite and the best of the bunch. It’s the loudest believe it or not, it bright but can sound like the Martin of I want it to. It’s comfortable and it also looks good. It took the volume of my hd28 and the clarity/ playability/ brightness/ precision of my 614 and put them into one. I’m very happy with this purchase. I have played for more than 50 years, and was GIFTED this beauty from Sweetwater a few months back (had been playing my Larivee 12 for 20+ years). Was playing Christmas selections over our church sound system last week on this guitar. The music minister went to the mixer and was adjusting EVERYTHING. When I asked WHY?!!? he said "I can't believe that guitar and its pickup/system is SO CLEAN! No hiss, no rattle, no distortion… just a beautiful tone!" NO rivals or equals among guitars I have played.

An extraordinarily well designed and made guitar. The scale is a bit shorter than most guitars so it's easier to play, the bevel on the body makes it more comfortable to play, the fit and finish is perfect. It sounds good acoustically and plugged in. Really nice for finger style, and surprisingly good with a light pick. The back and sides are layered Sapele wood, the top is solid Sitka. The neck is maple. The tuners keep it in tune. I've played quite a few smaller body guitars in my 4 decades of playing, and this one is right at the top of the list along with Martin 00 and 000 models. I've been playing guitar for more than 45 years. I played hundreds of gigs with various bands in my younger years and still perform on rare occasions. I still play and practice every day and play many informal get togethers for small crowds. I own a Taylor NS42ce, 514ce, 312ce, 812ce 1st edition and a 914ce. I purchased this guitar for settings I wouldn't want to risk my more expensive guitars doing such as outdoors, campfire gigs or when I just wanted to throw it in the car in case of an impromptu party or get together jam. I can't tell you how surprised I was when I tuned up and started playing this guitar. I'm not going to try to tell you it plays or sounds like my 914ce, but I am going to tell you it plays and sounds amazing for a guitar twice it's price or more. This guitar now sets on a stand next to my desk in my office and gets played every day. It's a price point I don't worry about it setting out or getting a ding here or there and it truly is a pleasure to practice on and play. Thanks to this guitar I play more than I have in years and it's saving daily wear and tear on my more expensive guitars. This is hands down the best acoustic every made for a beginner's skill set and budget, but I will tell you first hand, it will put a smile on a seasoned player's face as well. Whether you're a beginner looking for an acoustic that will inspire you to play and learn, rather than defeat you like many cheap acoustics that play horrible and sound even worse will, or you're a seasoned player looking for a budget friendly, daily beater that is still a pleasure to play – this is your guitar!
I had been looking for a reasonably priced mid-range acoustic guitar. In most of the reviews I read they said that the Taylor Academy was a great "beginners" guitar. I have to say this is an incredible guitar all around and works well for any level of guitar player. Absolutely loved being able to go into the Sam Ash store and look at the guitar. I was a bit hesitant to purchase an item openly advertised as scratch and dent. After watching the video of the guitar being played I decided to take a chance. The website was open and up-front about the damage to the latches on the guitar case and mentioned no other defects. Much to my surprise there were ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER DEFECTS. The guitar looks and plays like it is brand new. I've wanted a Taylor Nylon String Classical ever since my arthritis kicked in, so that I can play with less pain in my fingers. Overall: I say cudos to Taylor , great guitar , flawless quality , realistic sounding pickup , plays like the wind . I'm a novice singer songwriter that plays piano and guitar , mostly soft rock . This guitar is a great addition to my studio . I run it through a dbx 266 to control the parameters to a vintage amp with an 8 inch which I will later replace with an AER . Purchased this guitar in December of 2019. Total for guitar, hard case (extra), 2 yrs of maintenance, and tax came to < $900. The guitar was purchased for my 11yo son who has been taking guitar lessons for about a year and is developing a repertoire in classical and flamenco musical styles. Prior to this, my son was using a simple < $200 starter guitar. But because of his interest and development throughout the year (we rarely have to ask him to practice; he does it on his own), we decided to purchase this guitar as a next step up. We tried a number of guitars, including Cordoba, and from various sellers prior to purchasing this particular guitar. It came down to this model and another model from Cordoba. At this point, my son's guitar teacher (who has been playing professionally for 35+ years) volunteered to visit the store and help with our final selection. We decided on this model because of its sound (very important that *you* like the sound of *your* guitar!) and it is extremely light-weight. Additional features include a built-in tuner, amplifier pick-up (so you can connect to an amplifier if you wish) and has guitar strap connectors. Finally, a particular and unique feature of this guitar is the small bevel where your playing arm rests on the guitar. My son appreciates this simple and unobtrusive feature which allows him to rest his arm on the base of the guitar without the guitar edge digging into his forearm. I highly recommend that you consider this guitar in your selection process!ED
I just bought this instrument and the first impression was good. Good looking guitar, and sounds good enough if you want to practice with no amplification at your home. Then in the studio of the Guitar Center of Tyler, they allowed me to taste the electronics of the guitar while amplified, and it surprised me in a positive way. So it works good in those two ways… acoustic and amplified.Pablo
I have missed having a classical type guitar having given up my previous one that I never seemed to bond with. Checked out the Taylor on the wall, was satisfied and just thought to ask if there was another in the back. There was and that is the one. For an inexpensive guitar, this is perfect. It's is all I need. I looks and feels great.JB
