This is an inexpensive thing you can do to get more mid bass out of your door speakers and also protect them from water as well. I always cut the back out of the baffle so that it can breath but still surrounds and protects the speaker from water. When the speaker can breath with Mid Range and full range you get more bass and you leave the back closed it actually cuts down the bass. I used a Combination of new aftermarket speaker, damping mat on door skin, speed rings and Foam Baffle and I tell you what you get crystal clear sound that normally takes very expensive speakers to produce. As I did each phase I would compare the sounds as I had 4 doors to do. You can for a fact hear the difference. It was just amazing to hear the OEM's then with each enhancement that was super low cost and easy to do and how much clearer and crisper the sound got and really tell it in the Mid Base range. I have a JBL 14 speaker System in my Car and it sounds amazing even better then when brand new. It has a Factory Amp that I kept. Best low cost upgrade ever.mac

In my Venza, the window seals allow water to drip onto the speaker terminals and cause corrosion, which causes the speakers to quit working. After installing these I wont have that issue anymore and the sound is more solid.Travis

I installed two of these speakers in the lobby of our church, we had a wall-mount old-school speaker in there connected directly to the PA mains, but it got fried a while ago with the first dance party we had when we upgraded the sanctuary PA.when I installed these into the tile ceiling I removed the included 70 volt transformers and connected them to the output of a consumer stereo receiver which is connected to the main PA's line out so they don't get the same volume level as the main speakers.For voice (which we mainly use them for) they sound very clear. For background music they are also very clear, though the bass response only goes as low as 80hz. I have installed other PA ceiling speakers with plain grills, and I think that the diffuser grill on the front of these really makes a improvement in how much space one speaker will cover. We have a big lobby, approximately 25" 40"and two of thes speakers seem to be enough.I wouldn't recommend these for a home audio installation, but for PA or background music they are a great deal.mistamujik - 26980
It sounds great, and you don't need as many of them as conventional ceiling baffles, but they apparently don't make a matching tile bridge. That makes installing these in a drop ceiling rather tricky. We tried the Fourjay TB8, but it's designed for a round baffle and the square speaker doesn't cover the hole completely. Flipping the tile bridge over worked, but means that the tile could sag up to 1/2" over time.NH Dave

Installed baffles in 93 Suzuki Swift dash. Found major change is tone quality and separation along with a major reduction in under dash rattling. Am going to use with rear speakers hopefully they will work well there. Small car only has room for 4 speakers without major changes in interior. Baffling is a major help in upgrading sound quality which has never been good.shogun52

Dissapointed. Low quality foam and they don't even seat correctly in a standard cutout for a 4 inch speaker hole (too big). Ended up throwing them away and fabricating my own solution. Does anyone actually trial this stuff before a production run?! They DONT FIT mate!shazlikd1
