Reviews:
I suspect that our review will be screened out because it is not positive, but if you really want to know we were very disappointed with the guitar. I’m addition to some quality concerns, the guitar reeked of fumes. I had hope to enroll our child in local classes that use the guitar but I could not, as responsible parent give my child an item that I could not be around with our lung pain and head-aces. After many, many weeks attempting to air the guitar out it still smelled just as awful and caused the same health concerns. When I reached out Loog sent me a letter stating that the fumes were an unfortunate quality control issue but they deemed them safe. I was horrified that a company manufacturing items for children would so easily disregard their health, as previously stated I could not be in the same space as the guitar for more than a few seconds with out lung pain and head-aces, nothing about that is okay.Heather B.
I purchased a Loog Mini for my 3-year old toddler. It is a darling guitar that is just what I was looking for…However, here are my issues with it: (1) Upon arrival, I noticed that there was a cosmetic blemish on it. I didn't want to bother with a return process, so I kept it. (2) A few weeks later, I noticed that one of the guitar strings had rusted. (3) As the Loog company is in the business of children's guitars, it should equally invest in a wider selection of children's guitar straps. It is impossible to find one to accommodate my child's size. (4) The flash cards are cute but not very helpful. More emphasis is placed on the illustrations, rather than on the musical notes. Additionally, I don't find the Loog application helpful in my child's learning so we have taken to YouTube to provide us a better understanding. Overall, the Loog Mini is a sweet instrument and I find no flaws in its design but I am minimally impressed with the learning aids provided/associated with it.Olga F.
I've been playing the guitar for about 20 years, and I've made it a habit to play to my 8 month old son every evening since he was born. His attention and focus towards the guitar was immediate, where he wants to hit the fretboard and pull on the strings as I play. I would hand him my acoustic as I played the electric and he would enjoy exploring it for a good 15 minutes. I came across the Loog a while back and decided to buy my son one so that he could continue to explore the guitar while decreasing my worries of him damaging my fairly nice acoustic. I'm impressed with its quality and durability, and I find myself picking it up to play fairly often too. Because it's only 3 strings, it's also helped my wife and sister, who have never played the guitar, feel less intimidated to try it out. They're using the flashcards and app to learn simple chords and songs. I'm excited for the day my son can imitate playing skills, and I believe that starting him off with a 3-stringed guitar will be a more rewarding play experience versus a 6 string.Jonathan S.

The photos do not do this finish justice! The finish is way more 3D and the metalflake finish is awesome! Great playability and incredible Lukather tones! Over the moon – Thanks Sweetwater! Cliff was my sales rep. [x1784] He was also great! Kept me in the loop about the guitar arriving from Ernie Ball and when I could expect it. Great deal on an AMAZING Guitar
Sound: Amazing. No cap. This guitar sings. Features: Roasted flame maple neck looks and feels dreamy. Ease of Use: You would he hard pressed to make a bad sound on this guitar. Quality: EBMM leads the industry in quality, fit, and finish. This is no exception. Value: I’ve never played a better guitar at any price point. The Wow Factor: I would rate this 11 out of 10. Overall: May be the best guitar in production. The new pickups are absolutely beautiful, and good for everything but the most extreme styles. I’ve never played a guitar that sounded so nice. I can put it on the neck pickup clean and fire up the boost, and it sounds like a jazz box. The bridge is the only bridge pickup I’ve ever really liked. It clear and dynamic, but no harshness. The guitar is super comfortable to boot. I was really worried I might not like the v neck, but somehow it fits like a glove. Probably the best feeling neck I’ve ever felt. To top everything off…. It was set up perfectly, and in tune in the box.Jonathan
I've had this guitar a few months now and it is a really good guitar. It is manufactured with quality in mind. There were no blemishes or quality issues when it arrived. It does come with Ernie Ball strings, which I have never been a fan of. I changed the strings right away. It is pretty lightweight (especially when compared to a Les Paul) and really does come across as a LP/Strat hybrid. There is a five or six position switch for the different pickup configurations, but I really only care for two fo them. I guess that would be dependent on what style of music you are playing. One knock that I have is that when using the tremolo, it does tend to go out of tune a bit. I don't use tremolo much, so I can live with that. The neck plays really fast and it is a great looker. Ernie Ball doesn't have a custom shop, but their guitars can compete with any brand out there. You won't be disappointed.Terry S

Reviews:
I purchased this Dean ML based on my appreciation for Dime and simply because teenage me committed to owning one someday. I found a pic that I took with Dime which reminded me of being in the front row watching him jam away on his Dime Slime years ago. For me, this purchase was primarily motivated by nostalgia, expecting build quality to be sort of, ok. I have to say, this guitar exceeded my expectations. Slight disclaimer: I purchased this item knowing I would immediately upgrade most of the hardware and adjust things to make it more comfortable for my playing. 1) It is a fantastic base instrument. It plays fairly well as sold. This was my first experience with a Floyd Rose Special. Also, it will definitely be my last. I played it stock for about 2 weeks to get a good feel for it before changing anything. It’s a great playing guitar. 2) Every review I saw said that the finish was amazing and pictures just couldn’t do it justice. I agree. They did a great job on the neck and body of this guitar. It’s flawless. 3) Everything was to spec on mine. Action, truss rod, intonation, fret, bridge and pickup height, all perfect. My fretboard had a somewhat excessive amount of dye on it but nothing too crazy. The nut on mine was clearly cut too deep leaving the high e in permanent sitar mode with fret buzz. So, quality control could be an issue. For my needs this wasn’t a problem as I had already decided on replacing virtually all hardware with new parts that I had on hand from a project that I decided not to restore. 4) The pickups sound great. The Dime Slime nailed the Pantera tones, not surprising. I was surprised by the classic/southern rock and soloist tones I was able to get with minor eq adjustments. Clear and warm through the drive/distortion. It does jazz and country pretty well too. It has a very balanced sound to it which I was not expecting. I’ve played it on three different amps with the same results. Great. This is a great buy. A solid guitar as is. However, in my case, this guitar didn’t really come to life until I did what I did: OFR Hot Rod, brass block, springs, some shielding, etc. Now, what really irritates me is that it plays a lot better than a few of my guitars that were either at or almost double the cost of the Dime Slime. Get One!SantaRosaJoe
Overall: I'm no stranger to the scratch and dent game. I think half the fun is trying to figure out where the scratch and or dent is. When this model V came out I already knew that it would be a great guitar. Never played a Dean I didn't like. This model is a steal even at full price. Mahogony body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, Floyd and hot pickups. Actually, very hot pickups. My guitar has a bright sizzle to it in the bridge pickup and the neck pickup sounds great. Pretty balanced out put. The bridge is a Floyd Rose Lic. Stays in tune well. The fretboard is high quality. No fretsprout to speak of. Intonation is good, stays in tune and no high frets to speak of. The profile is the C shape. Similar to a 50s Lp just a tad thinner. The flat black finish is awesome the blem is only a slight discoloration on a portion of the binding. What that tells me is that the regular price model will be no doubt flawless. If you want that grind, metal, searing flamethrower sound the bolt on is the way to go. Bolt on necks are usually a little brighter. Sustains very well. I'm very very happy with it. It is exactly what it is advertised as. Buy one. You'll love it. Getting the ML X Floyd next. No doubt due to my own preference I will be swapping out the bridge pickup only. All my main guitars have Seymour Duncan TB and SH 6 bridge pickups. Great guitar for nodding to tour own preferences. You'd be doing killer as is too. I'm in no hurry to swap pickups. Great buy.
Not a V type of player. I like Wilco, the Pixies, the Smiths, Stone Roses, Courtney Barnett, etc. So when I saw Ryan Adams rocking a V by that other manufacturer that starts with G, I started thinking about the V body style. I liked this model because it was at the right price point and had the tradition V body style, if you don't think too much about the headstock. This guitar probably hasn't gotten any love because I don't see it as your typical Dime type guitar, and its not your typical vintage Flying V. The pickups are not high enough gain to get love from the shredders and the Headstock probably turns some people off. What I found is a pretty great guitar with some help. First, the action was high. I lowered the bridge significantly. The good news is that the frets are good I didn't run into any buzziness after lowering the action a little lower than I thought I could get away with. Next, the pickups needed adjustment. They were pretty low. I brought them up a little and found that the sound filled out and got chimey like it should. I adjusted the pole pieces to match the fretboard radius and viola! Most of these guitars have good pickups and don't need an immediate change. Folks, you need to learn how to properly adjust your guitar pickups! Then figure out if you need something different. PS adjust these pickups on a clean channel, you need to hear the guitar not distortion. Long story short, this is a great guitar. It shouldn't be your main axe, but its a great conversation piece that sounds better than it should. I feel like I discovered a diamond in the rough. P.S. The guitar is really light and comfortable to play with a strap.Fred

5. Dean V 79 Electric Guitar Trans Cherry
Product Details:
The dean v 79 flame top floyd is a shot of pure rock 'n' roll. shaped into the classic flying v form and equipped with a set of crunchy vintage dmt time capsule pickups, you're going to be the centre of attention at any gig. those open coil humbuckers produce a satisfying, thunderous voice. there's enough output here to easily match its hard rock aesthetic. aside from the glorious growls it produces, the v 79 is also a dream to play thanks to its thin, v neck shape and indian rosewood fretboard. your fingers will fly around the rosewood thanks to its silky-smooth response, and that the thin neck width makes expansive lead playing much simpler. add to that the ample sustain and wild whammy antics from a floyd rose bridge, and you've got a guitar that's made to be played loud, and played hard.

Reviews:
After checking it was in stock, wasn't sure to order from Richard's guitars, as I could have bought elsewhere £35 cheaper? But the promise of a free setup sounded great! But once ordered, it took a month to receive the guitar? The body is different than shown in the photos online, and from what I've seel in music stores, this one, I've received has a sort of see through, wood grain effect, through the paint?.. Which I suppose I'll get used to, but it makes the guitar look a bit cheap? The setup was more of a £20 checkover? But once I'd lowered the action, and re set the Intonation, it was OK. My main disapointment was that despite saying I would receive a £100 setup free, I still found that the fret ends were so sharp, I actually caught my outer palm on them! And I had to spend quite a time filing and smoothing them down properly.. The fret ends should be one of the first things you check during a setup, so not really impressed with the the service.. or the strange body, with see through red grain? Since I've set it up though, It's OK, and worth keeping, as the sounds are useful.. Not sure I'd want to buy from this store next time.. I've setup shop guitars Myself for years, and if I'd have delivered this one back to the shop, they'd have called be back to finish it off properly? So be aware of this shops promise of a £100 setup? Sorry Richard, the intention is great, but in reality, I am a bit dissapointed… But hope things improve!Chris C.
This is a great guitar at a wonderful price, considering that it receives a £100 set up as part of the deal. As the previous reviewer stated, it's very versatile and it's also a dream to play (no doubt the great set up by Rguitars played a big part here). I had to wait a while for Richard Guitars to receive it from their supplier, but I was kept constantly updated and in the loop. It has been the best buying experience I've had online. Wholeheartedly recommend this guitar and buying from Richards Guitars.Brian C.
Excellent setup. Service was first class from ordering to delivery. The only place to buy guitars.Michael H.

Reviews:
I am thoroughly disappointed in the quality of the paint job on this guitar. The finish looks and feels like it wasn't sanded smooth, and the paint job is cheesy. You can see the un-smoothness of the wood. Also, the pick-guard has a bunch of scratches, and a couple of spots where it's damaged and white shows through the black finish of the pick guard. $1,499 plus tax and shipping for an instrument that is damaged and has a worse fit and finish than my $199 Epiphone SG. The pick guard protective plastic had been removed, which, along with the scratches/damage, tells me this was used and returned, and sold again to me as new. I complained and they've offered me a $120 refund. Not happy with my first and last experience with American Musical Supply.
Great comfortable weight and excellent sustain. I'd prefer a hotter set of pickups such as the 500t or Dirty Fingers but the 490 set will suit the majority of rock players just fine. That is a subjective matter regarding pickups. It comes with a super nice case and my example has no flaws whatsoever. I'd suggest applying some conditioner to the fretboard early on as it seems most newer fretboards are on the dry side- regardless of brand. No sharp fret ends are present here. I really like the simple control layout. I've had it well over a month so I'm well out of honeymoon stage. This one is so good that I do not see the benefit of buying the next one up for a $300 upcharge, that is unless you simply don't like the green.
This is my first Gibson. I have a bunch of Fender strats and a few Ibanez guitars that I love, but the sound from this guitar is so nice. Really nice clean sounds and amazing crunch. The setup on the guitar was perfect out of the box. The guitar isn't heavy and feels comfortable to play standing or sitting. It doesn't feel bottom heavy like a few Les Pauls I have tried in the past. I really like the olive drab color. Makes this guitar really stand out in my collection.Kris A.

Overall: I generally don't buy import guitars anymore, but the 70s Japanese version of the Epi Crestwood was one of my first instruments as a kid in the 90s, so I took a chance on this one for nostalgia reasons. Like other reviewers said, it needed a little bit of setup work to bring out its best, but twenty minutes of adjustment has made this thing an incredible player. It's way better than the price would suggest — particularly the vibrato, which is Bigsby-ish, but far more usable. COVID-19 supply constraints notwithstanding, I can easily see why this bad-boy has been sold out since the day after I bought mine. Pick one up when you can — you'll be glad you did.
I did much research before singling out the Crestwood Custom as my jack-of-trades workhorse guitar. I wanted something classic, but timeless enough to be diverse, and offer something in it's voice to my future music. I'm in love. It's sleek, it's light, it's flashy, refined, and yet, solid as tank. The intonation is spot on, easy to tune, it holds a tune, it's bright, it's punchy, and yet has that classic smoothness associated with classic finger-style artists like Chet Atkins. The tuners are precise and effective. Nothing is sloppy, nothing buzzes or rattles. The tremolo has the perfect amount of usefulness for my purposes, and is solid enough for a grounded rhythm track, while allowing me to shred to the Top Gun theme song. I use it for rhythm, melody, and even shredding. It does it all. The mini humbuckers really give the best of all worlds. I've even seen videos of people using it for metal, with good effect. It's friendly to the pocket, the eye, and the ear. I could not be happier, and American Musical shipped it out fast, and it even arrived two days early, on my birthday, which is a happy first in my consumer experience. Thank you Epiphone for an amazing guitar, and thank you American Musical Supply, for putting it in my hands!Ken W
Quality of workmanship is outstanding! Neck is so comfortable to play. The Epiphone pro mini humbucker pickups have fantastic range. The body shape is very comfortable to hold. The trematone system works very well and the guitar keeps tune. I got the white version and the pictures on line do not do it justice.. absolutely beautiful guitar! I must say this guitar/purchase did meet all of my expectations. If your looking for something with a different feel and vibe from all the rest the Epiphone Crestwood is an excellent choice. I like this guitar so much I’m going to also pick up one of the Wilshire models with the soap bar p90’s..Stephen from Bridgewater NJ

I was gifted this beauty for my birthday. I had a 2PU version before, but through my own innatention, cracked the breadstick at the neck. I repaired it, but then sold it. I giggled and recorded extensively with that guitar. I was missing it, and thanks to my kid brother and his wonderful girlfriend, the Caddy has joined my guitar tribe. It sounds, feels, and plays like and old friend!L.B.
I love this guitar. This guitar completely rocks. Plays great sounds great and looks great. It came out of the box almost set up perfectly. The only thing is the action could have been Lowered just a tad. But this guitar is two thumbs up. This is my main guitar for now on.Lee
Not one single regret about adding this Dean Cadi to my arsenal!! No sharp frets, no dead frets, the neck plays super fast and this is a very comfortable guitar to hold! You simply do not want to put it down!! Get your wings!Christopher

We wanted to love our Loog, but there was an issue with the speaker that Loog didn't have a fix for. We were forced to return it because they didn't have any replacements in stock. The guitar was beautiful and we knew our kids would love it, so it really broke our heart to have to do this but perhaps we will try again when more are in stock.Gary O.
I swear I bought the Loog mini for my daughter even though I find myself playing it quite often. The build quality is great. It doesn’t feel like a toy at all. This is a real and respectable instrument. I love that it’s half a guitar in both size and construct—so she can graduate from 3 strings to 6 eventually. Really nice work. Kudos to the entire Loog team. It makes me happy to know a team of people are dedicating their time to such a cool product.J M.
The guitar itself is quite nicely built, but the app, which is supposed to help your kids learn the chords etc. is demoralizingly bad. It's hard to explain to a 5 year old why, after following the daily items (tune your guitar, practice some chords etc.) they don't get the points for completion. As a software engineer, I fail to see why it's okay to leave this basic functionality broken. Furthermore, the app appears to be abandonware. I see no updates or fixes. The 'Games' section has been 'coming soon' for months. The app should be removed from the site as a selling point, since it is basically broken. Just be aware when you buy this guitar, the app is not going to work.Ben

Not happy rubbish sounds like a cat being strangledNone
Father Christmas got this guitar for my 11yr old son this year and he hasn't put it down! He started teaching himself acoustic guitar a few months ago and has been absolutely fixated. He asked Father Christmas for an electric guitar and this is what turned up Christmas morning. He absolutely loves it. It's not too heavy and playing it through the amp sounds brilliant, much to our neighbours annoyance lolStaceywacey
The pickup selection was broken from the start. The price is good for a beginner’s first guitar, however if the pick ups are broken it’s going to create big problems for a new guitarist when finding their way around their guitar for the first time.Henry

Got this for my 2 year old and she just loves it. She grabs in when the part of the movie comes on.katiej
Ma fille s'amuse mais ce n'est pas très interessant. Touches préprogrammées sans coordination ou possibilités de faire des combinaisons. Il faut cependant avouer que le matériel est de bonne qualité, d'où les trois étoiles.KARIM
My 5yr old loves and my 7yr old has a go too. Couple of different options on how to play it. Winner.milz3131

Reviews:
Great buy for the price. The only fallback is they tend to loose air quickly. But overall worked for what we needed at the time!Margaret
Would not stay closed once inflated.Julia
Ordered these along with another style for a prizes at a children's birthday party. They didn't arrive when promised and this style did not stay fully inflated even 20 minutes after being blown up. And this was before the kids showed up for the party. Not worth it. Totally disappointing.Kori

Reviews:
I purchased it when he was about 8 months and he didn't pay too much attention to it. He is now 1 and plays it like a guitar. He loves to roll the ball in the middle and interacts with all the buttons. Perfect for music lovers. Perfect for his Cinco de Mayo pics! (Just for fun)Azaiahsmom
My eight-year-old pick this out to give to my six-month-old for Christmas. He’s now in nine months old, and he loves it and plays with it every day. He loves spinning the avocado seed in the middle of the guitar. And pressing the light up buttons. It’s a really fun toy but the only problem I have with it is that it’s extremely, ridiculously loud & there is no volume button. I’m not even worried about the sound being annoying, I’m worried it’s going to hurt my baby’s ears.TargetMom
The coloring on the darker green "tuning pegs" chips easily as I noticed it was flaking off in my son's mouth. This is poor manufacturing and likely a synthetic material that should not be ingested. This toy should be recalled. The rest of the color finish is integral to the plastic but the "tuning pegs" have been coated with a darker green finish (over brown plastic base) that flakes off easily with the scratch of a fingernail or into a baby's mouth.
