Bought this in december of 2020. this is a really nice example, i played a few of these before i bough this one. perfect weight at 7lbs 5.5oz. not too light not too heavy. the reviews and youtube videos speak for themselves on this guitar, no need for me to describe what it can do. let's just say the neck pickups on these are incredible and the blend circuit is like no other. the neck with the narrower nut and compound fingerboard case is perfect, smells fantastic. all the case goodies are included. no noticeable fret wear. i played this guitar a lot, but only in the house. i don't gig. this is not a case queen, but it's a relic so there is that. it's a guitar that's hard to put down. also a nice collectible. no low ball offers please.

For over 10 years, I've been casually searching for just the right Telecaster. I've tested out many over the years (new and used), and with the wide variety of neck styles on different models and series, I just never found the right one. When Fender announced this 70th Anniversary Broadcaster earlier this year, something told me this might finally be the one. So I decided to roll the dice and order one from MF without first playing one and I'm thrilled to report that it not only met but also exceeded all of my expectations. I was most concerned about the U-shaped neck – not being a fan of so-called "baseball bats" of the early 1950s. It's just slightly more chunky than a modern Tele, but it's extremely comfortable and it only took me about a day to get completely comfortable with it. Now I absolutely love it. The action is perfect and there's no buzzing whatsoever up and down the neck. The Custom Shop Blackguard pick-ups sound fantastic. They are super-hot and give that classic Tele tone. Before playing it, I was a little disappointed that Fender decided to include the wiring kit to duplicate the original Broadcaster blending-mode as a user-installed option instead of wiring it this way at the factory, but after hearing these pick-ups the way they are, I won't be re-wiring it anytime soon. I had mixed emotions about the lacquer finish with the see-through wood grain when looking at the photos online, but in person the guitar looks fantastic. My only reservation is that the lacquer makes the back of the neck a little tacky but over time this should work itself out. I've already noticed that after a week of playing it has already improved. One other thing about this guitar that still amazes me is the weight. It is perfect – not too light and also not a boat anchor hanging around your neck. I also love the custom American-made G&G deluxe tweed case. Do yourself a favor and order this guitar while you still can!Lou Z.
I bought this in order to not duplicate what I left behind during a 3000 mile move last month, after doing enough research to learn that an Esquire is significantly different from a Telecaster. Indeed, this guitars sounds quite different, and in my view can stand in for a Gretsch but with better feel. The chunky neck is vintage and not 70's style as some have stated. I have tiny hands so was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it feels up and down the neck. Not slippery at all either. The natural finish is darker than in the photos, but it's still nice to see pine grain. Heavier shellac than I expected, but it sounds great. Not as much tonal range as other Fenders, but I didn't buy it for that. I'm going to try all-nickel strings when I get it set up, for an even more vintage sound, but it's great with the Fender nickel plated steel strings.mhschmieder

I absolutely LOVE the color scheme (though I wouldn't mind a slightly lighter colored fret board – rosewood or pau ferro)! Everything about this guitar screams quality and attention to detail. It plays well and sounds fantastic! I have a Gibson SG, Epiphone Sheraton, Fender Jazzmaster, and now this Tele Ultra and so far, I think this is the best sounding guitar out of the bunch. Overall: My 13th Epiphone L.P. since 2006, and second of the new "Inspired by Gibson" series (first was the Standard 50's). I am blown away by these next-level Epi LPs – my 50s was astonishingly similar sitting next to my Gibson Original series 50s goldtop, both asthetically, AND sonically speaking, with only slight pickup characteristic differences. This is also my first SlimTaper neck. Thankfully it wasn't an earth shattering change – we'll adapt just fine. My new tuxedo custom came in at a perfect 8lb 13oz – my ideal weight range for a Paul – especially considering these guitars are coming in with about 1.5# weight swings. Got lucky there. Absolutely no build or quality issues, looks incredible, and is appointed well. It is leaps ahead of the very disappointing Frampton signature Epi I bought last year – my only truly lousy Epiphone. NEVER AGAIN will I buy a chambered Les Paul, in ANY form – all the tone gets totally sucked out! Guitar also came in with a perfect setup, which is rare (even though my setup guy always does a once-over on all my guitars). Some fret polishing couldn't hurt, though. Only concern with this purchase was with the final shipment packaging from zZounds – no packing material in the final carton, just loose box in a box. I think that's a first.
I am both surprised and please with this guitar I purchased this guitar at GC Nashville after returning a Gibson Les Paul Classic that I bought online. (lesson learned, don't buy from GC online.) The staff there were great and had no issues with me returning a $2200 guitar that I bought online. Even more supportive in helping me pick out a much less expensive guitar. Great people. This Epiphone is awesome. The fit and finish are great. The action is low and no buzz. The tone is great and It is lighter and easier to handle than the Gibson . The best part is it cost a third of the one I returned. I really wanted a Gibson but I am so glad I picked up this Epiphone. A word of caution. I looked at and played several guitars at GC before choosing this one. I even played a couple of other Epiphone Les Paul Customs. No two were the same. One had razors for frets, one had an action you could drive a truck under and this one was just right. Go in an play them before buying.Mike
I'm in a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. I wanted a period-correct guitar but could not afford a Turner or a Gibson Les Paul so I settled for the Epiphone. I was pretty happy with the guitar the first month….until at rehearsal, I "lost" my high E string. At first, it appeared to have disappeared off the fretboard. But upon careful examination, I found the string caught under the 5th fret 'tang'(?). The fret itself was not perfectly flush with the fretboard, leaving just enough of a tiny gap to catch the string as it rolled off the fretboard during playing with finger vibrato. Upon further examination, it looked like frets 4, 6 and 7 were not quite flush either. I remedied the situation somewhat by purchasing a Stew-Mac roller bridge that allowed me to slightly shift the string positions further in and away from the fretboard edge. I had previously attempted to pressure-seat the offending frets with a woodblock and hammer, but they would not budge. The roller bridge seemed to help somewhat. But today at rehearsal, I felt some stinging irritation on the inside of my left thumb near the 'web' between thumb & forefinger when I moved my hand quickly up and down the neck. Looking closely at the frets, I noticed that the end edges were extremely sharp as if having never been dressed properly. All that said, I realize this instrument is a 'budget' one when compared to American-made Gibson / Fender / PRS products. I'd read some great reviews on this guitar and made the purchase on that basis. But, once again, it is the same old story – "you get what you pay for". I should not have expected the same build quality and attention to detail like that found on instruments costing four times as much. I suppose a refret is the only solution now. Buyer beware.CHUCK

I already own an Am Std Strat and Tele and a G&L Tele all single coil. I wanted to try a humbucker sound and being loyal to Fender, I purchased this guitar. The high quality feel, looks and sound of this guitar were immediately apparent. The sound has a distinct "bite" which is perfect for certain uses with the typical humbucker "growl". The Pearly Gates can get dirty, clean and somewhere in between depending on my settings. Though not made in America, this guitar is not "cheap", corners were not cut. Rock, blues, jazz all sound great. I use to be an "American Made", single coils only snob, but this purchase changed my opinions.GM
Do not spend $799 on this guitar. It’s more in line with $499, $599.
The Pros. The Duncan’s are spot on. With the split coil feature it rocks. The maple top is awesome. The neck is wide enough to shred whatever your genre is. Tone is exceptionally good overall.

Negatives. It won’t stay in tune. I bend the hell out of my strings and this guitar won’t handle it. The tuners are garbage. Have to turn 2 x 360 degrees for a minor increment. The string trees probably are the culprit. I’m ordering new tuners and string trees. The pickup selector wobbles a bit. Going to change it out. The split coil tone control knob wobbles when pulled out…..changing that out. It came with a slight bow in the neck and action way high. It is advertised as Mahogany neck and body. Not true. The neck is NATO. Google it. Or they call it eastern mahogany. It’s not true mahogany. Has the same tonal and density characteristics as mahogany…but not true mahogany. I wonder if the body is the same. Doesn’t quite feel or sound like true mahogany but it is good tone wise.
Summary. It’s a awesome guitar but not worth $799 if you have to make $100 to $200 in mods. I looked at 3 guitars before purchasing. This one, a G&L, and a Schecter PT. I bought this cause it was a Fender……well….I made the wrong decision. It’s border line garbage.Rob Pedrick
Cons: When I unboxed the Tele and did my initial inspection, the fit and finish was almost perfect. Only one area on the back where the finish sucked into the grain, leaving a dimpled, coarse area. The switches and knobs are absolutely terrible. They seem to work cleanly without noise, but they feel like they are falling apart. The action seemed a little on the high side, and the neck appeared to have a bend in it. Playing the guitar, it had a very jangly sound, even with those SD humbuckers. Also, I could tune it standard, and intonation was close, but don't press any frets! ICK! It would be so far out of tune! Barre chords sounded terrible. Pros: After playing the guitar for about 30 minutes, trying different amps and effects, I put it on the bench and checked the neck with a straight edge. It had at least 0.018 inches of gap on the fretboard from the 5th – 8th frets. I gave the truss rod a few tweaks and it was perfect. With the neck straight, the frets were perfectly leveled. The radius of the string heights at the bridge saddles was perfect, and the action was very nice. It shipped with 9 – 42 strings, so I put a new set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky's on it, tuned and set the intonation. Conclusion: The neck and frets were nicer than I expected for this price range with nicely finished fret ends and smooth edges. They would only need to be polished a little better to match a guitar of many times that price. The guitar is MUCH lighter than my other Tele, and it is very comfortable to play. The look and fit of the set neck is perfect, and access to the upper frets is fantastic. The sound is MUCH nicer with the new strings, and it plays and sounds great after a proper setup. I believe the nut is graphite, and the tuners are nice and smooth, so tuning was a pleasure.. no popping. I will definitely look into upgrading the electronics in the future, as well as taking the time to polish the frets during a future string change.Tom B

Overall: This is my second review. I’ve owned three Clapton Stratocasters. I’ve been gigging quite a bit with them. I play classic rock, country, some heavier stuff GNR and stuff like that. I tried to use this guitar for these extensive cover bands. I’ve done maybe 50 shows with the Clapton Stratocaster. I’ve learned a few important things. Here’s some pros and cons: The mid boost really pushes an amp. I mean it pushes. This guitar comes in hotter than my Gibson Les Paul classic and my 2016 standard. You need almost no gain to get break up with this guitar. This is very important to know if you are considering this guitar. The mid boost is always active even when turned down, so the guitar is really hot. That being said, the mid boost compliments certain drives and distortions amazingly well. I’d have to say that’s my favorite thing about the guitar. The mid boost makes most gain channels sound really amazing. I was so hooked on this guitars overdriven sound that I initially bought 3 of these guitars and dropped all my old gear. You could almost use it for Van Halen type sounds. Just be careful because it will push it until it gets muddy depending on your rig. Here’s some real important cons:The mid boost is 25 decibels. That’s a lot. I find that if I have it all the way up the rhythm sounds awesome , but then I cant go any higher in volume for leads without a boost and then you’re getting way too much break up. Of course you call roll off the mid boost for your rhythm but that causes so many inconsistencies in your volume during a show that it gets cumbersome. I mean you cant tell if your knob is at 3, 5 or 7 when on stage in the lights and All that. On top of that, if you don’t roll that mid boost down before you go back to your clean channel, you better watch out because you’ll blast everyone with so much volume it ain’t funny. You can’t get a good clean sound without turning the mid boost down. Basically you have to think that Clapton does not use pedals or clean/ dirty channels. He is using a dimed amp and just this mid boost knob. For most of us pedal users and channel switchers this doesn’t really fit our needs. Be aware ! Here’s my biggest complaint:The volume pot on two of my three Strats went to complete crap within the first 6 months. I mean the volume pot is junk. Do not overturn it or even try to use use it. It will start popping and cracking and no amount of cleaning will fix it. Trust me this is a serious issue that has seriously made me not want to play this guitar anymore. Again if you watch Clapton you’ll see that he doesn’t really use the volume knob so he probably doesn’t notice. The high strings above the 12th fret area can’t be bent very much without fretting out. Especially the first string. If you watch current Clapton live enough just look when he bends really high, you’ll see that it won’t sustain. This is probably due to vintage small fret wire combined with the radius. Similarly the high E string is likely to break if bent to a full bend. On top of that, the high E string is so close to the edge it slips off the neck a lot , and you’ll find your self pushing the saddle in as far as you can. Seriously the high E string is almost useless on this guitar.
Sound: I can get any sound I want just through the pickup selector, tbx and midrange boost controls, and the master volume takes it over the edge for extra crunch. Playing by myself I preferred the middle pickup, but in a band situation the neck pup cuts through brilliantly with lovely clean treble twang. This is a great guitar for biting blues or rock tones, or dial it back for a nice soft clean tone. I mostly play through a Blackstar TVP 60 or Marshall DSL40, but I keep both mostly clean where it's just starting to break up, which I can control by my attack. Features: The best feature for me is the playability of the neck. The satin finish combined with the low vintage frets is just super smooth. I played about a dozen different Strat models before finding the EC, and once I played it there was no other choice to make. The noiseless vintages pups are a breeze, and the controls do everything Fender claims. Ease of Use: The EC just fell to hand for me immediately, like no other guitar I'd played before or since. 'Nuff said. The pups allow me to keep tight control on feedback only when I want it. Quality: This is a pure quality instrument, and I love everything about it. Having said that, after 2 years there's quite a bit of fret wear from bending, so I'll need to refret with stainless steel wire for longer wear. The volume pot has started to get a bit dirty and noisy, so it needs a clean, even though I've only played in clean environments. Value: Worth it's weight in gold. I have not played another guitar that makes me want to buy it. Manufacturer Support: Haven't need manufacturer support, but in Australia I have Fender-registered luthiers. The Wow Factor: This is EC's guitar, as close as I'll ever get, which is a big selling point. But sheer playability, quality, and value for money, plus pride of ownership, make it simply the best. Arrived in great shape. So far, I love this guitar, and despite all the videos I watched and reviews I'd read, I was still amazed at the sheer number of tones you can get out of it. With the mid and treble boosts, you can really go from "typical strat" tones to get incredible sustain and hit the front of the amp quite hard to get good breakup.Pros:- American Strat quality, fit and finish is good, rolled fret board, etc.- The electronics – endless variety of tones. Not great for modern metal or hard rock, but anything else will work.Cons:- This would be a hard guitar to work into a live venue if you play with other guitars as well. It is LOUD, so much louder than my Les Paul or anything else I own that I have to play with the levels and EQ on the amp. In my house, no big deal. At a gig, that may be tough. That said, I don't own other guitars with active electronics, so maybe other active pickups are also this much louder?- Requires you to unscrew the back plate to change the battery. I'm sure this keeps costs down, but on my active basses it's a lot easier to open the battery compartment without screws. Make sure you have a full battery before a gig.- I was surprised at the amount of set-up I had to do to get rid of fret buzz. Given the amount of distance in shipping, time in warehouses, temperature/humidity differences, etc. my guess is that it was probably fine when it left the factory, but it's the first guitar I've bought online that had so many strings/frets buzzing. Luckily a couple turns on the saddle screws fixed it all without appreciably raising action.Neither good nor bad: – The neck profile is unique to the Clapton. It feels like "a more playable vintage profile" to me. It's definitely not a modern profile. You'll either like it or you won't 🙂 I found it really easy to adjust to, and it seems to work great for "thumb over"- The bridge is similarly vintage, and comes blocked. If you really want the newer Fender bridge, you are out of luck. Given my set-up experience (above), I'm not convinced I could just "remove the block" and have it playable without additional set-up.- Tweed case looks amazing, but is not form fitting like the new TSA case that comes with other American Fenders. I wanted a tweed case, and I don't fly with my guitar, so not a big deal to me.Overall I feel like I made the right choice in buying a Strat, and I can't put it down. If your goal is to make Clapton sounds (or any other great Blues/Rock sounds) – this is a fantastic guitar.Metal Head

This is my second fiddle purchase from AMS in less than a year. And let me say they don't disapoint. This PRS SE Custom 24 is one nice guitar. I have wanted a PRS for many years but didn't want to spend core money. After reading many reviews and watching the factory tour in Indonesia I was sold. The quality of this guitar is on point with a MIM guitar I bought last year. As to quality I am very impressed. The tone and clarity are ery nice. Not quite the same as the US made but very close. The only thing I did change per some of the other reviews were the tuners. I also highly recommend the PRS ones AMS sells. Literally drop in replacements. I do plan on upgrading the trem to some brass parts like the American made model. But all very simple upgrades bring this so called poor man's PRS that is already way above average to better. Oh yeah I also ordered the lampshade knobs. Very nice design as well.Oger
Having played just strats for many years (I'm a blues guy) I fancied a bit of a change in sound. Watching videos on andertons TV introduced me to PRS (Both the man and the brand). I went for this model as I loved the look. It arrived in one day and has totally reinvigorated my love of playing, the bright high gain sound has made me look at new music styles and sounds, getting me out of a rut of the playing the same artists. This thing doesn't have squeal when you want it to.. my runs sound cleaner as the wide thin neck actually is a better fit for my hand than the strats i own. I've started exploring the trem for the first time too. The core tap is great for my style, giving single coil for SRV type stuff then humbucker for Gary Moore and beyond.. just by pushing the tone control, very versatile instrument. It is very bright, so takes some taming but worth it. My only minor niggle is the tuning is not quite as stable as my strats, which have locking pegs. So I plan on investing in some PRS locking tuners. Overall I love it… sounds and looks amazing. If this is how good the SEs are then the cores must be out of this world. Would I sell the strats – no, but this is a great addition and a much needed push in totally a new direction for me. Another PRS convertee……Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Received new guitar – fret buzz all over, bridge saddles were touching each other and causing vibration buzz. Originally, I raised action (still buzz) and then adjusted truss rod – still buzzing. Almost returned guitar due to bad buzz. (Utter frustration at this point) Tried one last thing: Loosened strings and started on low E string string (thickest string) – moved bridge saddles so not touching for all strings one by one ( string order E, A, D, G, B, E). Fret buzz or general buzz gone. Lowered string height first — still no buzz and then adjusted truss rod back to original position ( I added more relief originally but not necessary since neck bow was not problem) . Fret buzz still gone and now action is much lower and fast. Great guitar super light in weight – Have Vintage natural finish, finish has no gloss or very low gloss but looks great. Watch bridge saddles that our touching too much, mine had almost no space and jammed next to each other causing buzz or vibration. Watch for this problem on string changes, only need a tiny space.SolarEclipse
I really like everything about this AG75. I was pleasantly surprised. The pickups are very sensitive and responsive, over the full aural range, and with utmost clarity. The slim D neck and finely finished fretboard affords comfort with low and fast action! The overall body integrity is impressive with attention to detail. I have been playing it exclusively for three weeks, and like a good book, it's hard to put down! Makes hours of otherwise monotonous practice FUN and enjoyable again! Just a slight problem with "honking," but it was very easy to adjust it away with the pickup height adjusters. I prefer this over my other two Ibanez Artcore AF types, and they are fine as well. My highest recommendation, especially if you can buy it for under $500.00, total! Sounds and plays like a $2-Grand Gibson when set up and intonated properly.rgwhitlock

Schecter synyster custom-s i had for the last two years. it has a covered synyster signature pickup in bridge and sustainiac in neck. new cts volume and tone potentiometers (stock wasn't good). frets were polished ~1/2 year ago. plays amazing, especially in dropped (or slightly downtuned) tunings. there is a little scratch (you can see it on photo) on body. doesn't affect anything but look of the instrument. bag on photo is included. it has a huge pocket on the bag, where you can carry a pedalboard / effect processor, laptop (up to 17"), etc.

I have had my eyes on this guitar for years but have not been able to afford to purchase it outright. So about a year ago Behringer had a promotion going on with a no credit check, so I decided to take advantage of that by purchasing a powered mixer on credit with no interest. I made the payments on time and successfully paid it off. So after about 7 months after that I was surfing the AMS website as I always do from time to time and I noticed that on my account it said Rockstar no credit check and I called and spoke to a representative from AMS to check and see exactly what that meant and the representative informed me that I was in good standing as far as my credit goes and I was now able to get this awesome guitar that I have dreamed of owning. It is truly stage worthy and it is the best guitar I have ever owned. It has 2 individual pickups that are in a class of their own. One of them is a Shecter custom, and the other is a sustaining pickup. They sound great individually or combined. It is one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen or owned in my life. I highly recommend, which is the one I have, is the black and gold finish. Also I took a chance, not knowing exactly what it would look like, except by a picture on the website, is the PRS ACC-3135 gold guitar strap. When I opened the package and pulled it out and placed in on the guitar it was a perfect match. It brought out the contrast between the black and gold finish like they were meant to be together. The only problem that I had is that when I placed the Floyd Rose tremelo handle into the socket, it kept falling out, thinking to myself this is the worst designed Floyd Rose I have ever seen. I was frustrated at first, so I decided to put my glasses on and investigate the situation a little further and I noticed that there was a tiny Allen wrench set screw that needed to be tightened nd. There was no wrench included with the guitar and I had to purchase one separately. I recommend that you NOT buy the all in one assorted set but buy individual separate wrenches, because you will take a chance on ruining the finish with the all in one set. That was the only problem that I had with this guitar. Other than that, there were no other issues that I had.
AMS had the guitar shipped extremely quick! Schecter USA did an great job setting up the guitar as well as the guitar was already completely set up to play. As a whole this guitar really delivers in every aspect! My favorite feature is the ultra-thin C neck. The sustainiac gives you pretty much endless options when playing any A7X riffs or your own. 5-stars because I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone as well buying from AMS!!!Vocantem
This guitar is absolutely awesome! Great look, great feel,and great price! Schecter has made this an awesome guitar! This thing rocks! I would recommend this guitar to anyone out touring with a band or just jamming out with friends at home. AMS has always delivered the best gear at the best prices. This guitar was a surprise. Great playability, the fret finish and rounded edges on the neck are super smooth making are very comfortable neck to hold and play. Fret access all the way to the 24th fret is very impressive. Many 24 fret guitars aren't very accessible and don't play clearly up high. but it's effortless and still feels like you can go further if added more frets. Versatile guitar with a wide array of tones available, from coil tap Stratocaster like tones to the rich deep bark you'd come to expect from a Les Paul. Absolutely love this guitar. This was my first PRS guitar purchase. I purchased it based on the reputation of the company and reviews I found online. I ordered the violin finish. When I received the guitar and laid my eyes on it I was seriously disappointed. The flame maple top was horrible. The upper half had a much less noticeable flame to it and the lower half while partially nicely flamed it was completely missing flame and was bare grain around the switches. I showed it to a couple of friends who own PRS s2 guitars and they were shocked it was allowed to leave the factory like that. The only reason I rated it a 2 star and not 1 was because it only needed a light setup to be playable but even then the sharp fret ends will need some attention. I would not recommend this guitar to a friend, especially with the price tag.Derek
I purchased this S2 Custom 24 from American Music Supply a music dealer in my personal opinion is outstanding to deal with! I have made many purchases from AMS they are fantastic. As a Tele player who was in need of a humbucking guitar, do to a working cover band. I purchased this PRS because I didn't want a bottom line made in China guitar for $699 but felt someplace in the middle would get me something decent. This guitar is WAY over priced for what it is! The neck, for me was extremely uncomfortable, wide thin. The hardware is all made over seas and extremely cheap. I received the guitar, played it for about 30 minutes. The action was high and there was a buzz coming from the bridge. After 40 years of playing I know a poorly made guitar when I put it in my hands. The pick-ups sounded ok but lack clarity. PRS can do better! The color and finish was gorgeous! PRS is great at that. But C'mon Paul, give us something better for $1699! That's a lot of money for some people! I can see these S2's flooding the re-sale market for about $750 in one or two years, just like the MIM Fenders. Which re-sale value just stinks! I had two high end PRS's the P22 for $3600 brand new I sold it for $1600. I had a 10 Top 594 semi Hollow body for $4100 which I sold for $2000. I lost my shirt on those guitar because the market is flooded with PRS's that wont sell. I was lucky enough to send this one back and NOT have to re-sell it. Thank-God! At $1699 buy a used core PRS model or a USA Fender its still the best bang for your buck. Or a Studio USA Gibson Les Paul. I believe PRS makes great guitars and now they are trying to get a little above the K-Mart guitar market. It needs better pickups and better hardware. Oh…the locking tuners were good! Innazitutto complimenti allo staff, la spedizione è stata supercelere nonostante fosse a cavallo del ferragosto, l'informativa chiara e completa, l'imballo molto accurato e lo strumento è arrivato a destinazione in condizioni impeccabili, sicuramente tornerò a fare acquisti con fiducia. La chitarra è davvero magnifica ed ha superato le mie già rosee aspettative, il manico più comodo e veloce che abbia mai suonato, accessibile sino all'ultimo tasto e non crea nessuna fatica nonostante sia decisamente uno che corre :). E' uno strumento decisamente orientato per il metal e da il suo meglio sui palm mute serrati, una vera mitragliatrice 🙂 ma tutt'è meno che "ignorante", il suono è definito ma anche bilanciato, ricco di armonici e il release è INFINITO, i controlli essenziali ma molto efficaci, considerato il prezzo oso gridare al miracolo :).

What a brilliant guitar. Where to start? Ill just keep this brief and roll off compliments like a fanboybut Im not, this is my first Schecter. Pasadena pickups are stellar. Hotter than PAFs but tonally still capable of vintage-type sounds. Sound great when split, as well. Set up was perfect right out of the box. Stainless steel frets are excellent. Fit and finish are top shelf. Satin body makes for a slick neck. Hardware is qualitylocking tuners, solid switch, the best factory knobs Ive ever encountered, Tone Pros bridge, etc. Very playable low action, great fret work, slick compound radius neck, carved heel for access to upper frets, nut is upgraded to an Ernie Ball Compensated Nut and it shows in how well the guitar stays in tune. Aestheticsthe binding is aged to beautiful effect, hardware is gold (and lovely), knobs are black with rubber that is felt more than seen, fretboard is gorgeous ebony, mother of pearl block inlaysthis guitar would not be out of place in the hands of metal thrashers and at the same time would look great in the hands of a black tie jazz guitarist. I am so impressed with this Schecter Solo II Custom. So many high end appointments from the beefy locking tuners, the Ernie Ball articulated nut to the ebony fingerboard on the 12/16 compound radius neck, REAL mother of pearl block inlays, Pasadena Customer Shop pickups to…..well you get the point. Schecter spared no expense in this single cut Les Paul model. You cannot get a Gibson with these features for less that 3,000.00 and this model comes in at just under a grand. Plus the fit and finish of this made in Korea guitar are absolutely flawless. This guitar is simply a BEAST. If you are looking for a high value, high quality alternative to Gibson….you absolutely will not be disappointed with the Solo II Custom.Jon
Sound: So many tonal options! I love the coil splits in middle position with the bridge turned down really low and the tone at about 4-5 for some killer blues riffs. Features: The locking tuners and coil splitting capabilities. Ease of Use: All the sounds are great and it’s the easiest guitar I own to play and it’s still Day one! I’d say there’s zero learning curve coming from a Wolfgang standard. Quality: It’s made very well. I assume it’s a lifelong instrument. I’m sure the gold will tarnish and the matte paint will polish in spots, but the reason I got gold hardware and matte finish is so I can watch it relic over the years. Value: If comparing to Gibson, it’s at least $500 under priced! Incredible value. Manufacturer Support: N/A The Wow Factor: For me, the looks of matte black and gold is flat out sexy Overall: This was delivered while I was at work and stopped and put it inside on my rounds since I was in the neighborhood. I did a quick unboxing and was pretty disappointed at first, it just felt off. It’s a cold day so I’m assuming the wood just need to warm up, because when I got home it was like a different instrument. Perfect action and almost perfect intonation and the fret work was custom shop worthy once the wood settled. I absolutely love the pickups and the tonal options seem to be never ending. It really is of superb quality, you would have to pay $5,000+ to get a Gibson that plays as nice with similar specs. Schecter and Ibanez are in their own league when it comes to quality and price. If you’re looking at a Gibson LP tribute, buy this instead. It’s not even comparable. The ebony fretboard plays like butter, the Fishman pickups sound awesome, and the built quality is excellent. However, out of the box, the fretboard was covered with gunk, intonation and action was off, and the strings were oxidized. I question if Gibson Nashville inspected this guitar from China. I have had my eyes on this guitar for years but have not been able to afford to purchase it outright. So about a year ago Behringer had a promotion going on with a no credit check, so I decided to take advantage of that by purchasing a powered mixer on credit with no interest. I made the payments on time and successfully paid it off. So after about 7 months after that I was surfing the AMS website as I always do from time to time and I noticed that on my account it said Rockstar no credit check and I called and spoke to a representative from AMS to check and see exactly what that meant and the representative informed me that I was in good standing as far as my credit goes and I was now able to get this awesome guitar that I have dreamed of owning. It is truly stage worthy and it is the best guitar I have ever owned. It has 2 individual pickups that are in a class of their own. One of them is a Shecter custom, and the other is a sustaining pickup. They sound great individually or combined. It is one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen or owned in my life. I highly recommend, which is the one I have, is the black and gold finish. Also I took a chance, not knowing exactly what it would look like, except by a picture on the website, is the PRS ACC-3135 gold guitar strap. When I opened the package and pulled it out and placed in on the guitar it was a perfect match. It brought out the contrast between the black and gold finish like they were meant to be together. The only problem that I had is that when I placed the Floyd Rose tremelo handle into the socket, it kept falling out, thinking to myself this is the worst designed Floyd Rose I have ever seen. I was frustrated at first, so I decided to put my glasses on and investigate the situation a little further and I noticed that there was a tiny Allen wrench set screw that needed to be tightened nd. There was no wrench included with the guitar and I had to purchase one separately. I recommend that you NOT buy the all in one assorted set but buy individual separate wrenches, because you will take a chance on ruining the finish with the all in one set. That was the only problem that I had with this guitar. Other than that, there were no other issues that I had.
AMS had the guitar shipped extremely quick! Schecter USA did an great job setting up the guitar as well as the guitar was already completely set up to play. As a whole this guitar really delivers in every aspect! My favorite feature is the ultra-thin C neck. The sustainiac gives you pretty much endless options when playing any A7X riffs or your own. 5-stars because I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone as well buying from AMS!!!Vocantem

I have used this guitar with my band, live and in rehearsals… Plays fantastically once I set it up to my desired specs (Std D tuning, 10-52 strings, FU Tone brass block), but these PRS stock pickups have no grunt and snarl to them, so I plan to add an SD Black Winter set like in my EC Black Metal FR (dropped C). I have reverted back to using my Kramer Assault Plus which came loaded with the SD Alternative 8 set. Will likely use Custom 24 as primary D guitar again after replacing pickups. For this pickup issue alone, I'm giving it 3 stars, otherwise, it would be 5, as spending over 200 bucks more is a bit off putting after spending over $1100 for this plus a hard shell case for an import.Steve
The PRS is much easier to play than my ancient Strat. I need all the help I can get! It looks gorgeous, but not flashy or garish. PRS does make some pretty vivid guitars if you like turquoise, yellow, green, purple etc but I don't really want that kind of attention. The Custom 24 is superbly made, EXCEPT two of the tuning keys were loose and rattling, and the pickups are MUCH more powerful than the single-coils on the Strat, even in position 4 (two single-coils out of phase). I rate it as great value, but PRS also makes CE and SE models much cheaper. I am rating it against high-end LP's and custom shop Fenders.
