I recently lost this guitar in a bus crash and was looking to replace it. Nothing else really sparked my interest or had the same features (coil split, decent trem, locking tuners) around this price so I just bought the same one again. Beautiful top, a really warm tone from the pickups that at first came across as muddy, but after a few tweeks it has a beautiful deep, richness to the tone. Overall: I actually purchased it expecting all the midrange I wanted. I was not surprised that it has All the midrange and then some! would have purchased it anyway because of the looks , Abalone vine of life on a ebony fingerboard. Absolutely stunning. This year, I set a personal goal (yeah…. new year's resolution stuff) that I want to play 3 songs by Christmas. I had a 12 (soon to be 13) years old guitar (a real cheap one, like $100-$200 one). As I was learning playing guitar, I wanted to give myself a strong motive not to drop. After months of research, I found that I like the feel of Schecter neck – thin C that's what they say. I actually went to a local guitar store, wandered around a few times, then learned about it – the feel of the neck. I called Sweetwater or emailed I'm not so sure now. Got a call from Isaac. He and I talked several times on the phone. I explained what I want, what my budget will be, and what kind of music I want to learn. Isaac shared his knowledge and perspectives. I landed with this beautiful Schecter C-1 Exotic. It was backordered. Since I was not in a hurry, I decided to wait. Early Nov, Isaac called me saying "Hey, it looks like you will get it by mid-Nov." Awesome! I also purchased some guitar goodies where Isaac commented and helped choosing right and good stuffs. It's been about 3 weeks now. The guitar is a beauty. Actions are quite low. No buzzing. Overall: Picked this up from zZounds, recently…and I am totally thrilled and impressed. I am a reformed PRS fanboy…and now believe Schecter matches PRS in every category, and surpasses PRS in value for the money spent.My Toxic Venom C-1 Silver Mountain guitar exhibits: Exceptional build quality. Amazing tonal diversity. Stunning visual appeal. Fit and finish are as perfect as can be. Without a doubt, the most comfortable electric I've ever put my hands on. This guitar has it all.And received within 48 hours of purchase. I couldn't be any more satisfied.
I've had this guitar for roughly 6 months, and I am absolutely blown away by it The locking but hold your strings in tune, for what feels like forever. And if they get out of tune, just use the bridge tuners. I am very pleased with the tone that both the bridge and neck pickups produce, I've never used an active pickup before. But this being my first, I am impressed. The 26.5" scale length is nice, it allows for some lower tunings while keeping the rich and dark tone. With the oem strings, I don't recommend tuning any lower than drop G, I've been experimenting in GCGCFAD, and I've ordered a little heavier strings (2-4 gauges thicker). It is pretty expensive, but the craftsmanship is extraordinary. If you're looking for a beautiful 7-string, with a floyd rose, then this is for youSmartAlec
Playable out of the box…but a slight neck tweaking, raising a few of the saddles, intonating the low E, and lowering the pickups made it VERY nice/playable. The neck it slightly thicker than my "thin" C Apocalypse neck…probably the paint. Out of the box it was OK but had a few slight buzzes and sounded "busy"…too much distortion going on…no definition, no individual note clarity with chords. Now…it's a beauty. Good sustain on all strings…all frets. It sounds "clearer" even when heavily distorted. It's worth the price. I have 3 Schecters now…I bought a Reaper for my lady.Joe Rocker

This guitar is a tone beast! I have may diverse electric guitars (Charvel, Peavey, G&L, EVH, Ernie Ball MM, Steinberger, etc.) and this is the first Schecter and first with a Sustaniac system I've purchased. The Sustaniac is awesome! It gives you some fun sustain and harmonic control possibilities – like, adding a harmonic tail to the end of an awesome solo. Overall, the guitar is very well built, solid, and really no complaints. I set the guitar up for lighter strings (I use Ernie Ball Extra Slinky 2225 with a 9 for the high E string). I had to re-adjust the Floyd bridge tension since the lighter strings did not provide enough counter pull to keep the bridge centered. But once set up for lighter strings, it plays fantastic and keeps tune pretty well! The neck is true so no fret buzz at very low action. It is a bit heaver than my other favorites, but with the Sustaniac, I'll accept the extra weight. Tone is good, although, a bit more crispy than most of my other humbuckers. I'm very happy with my purchase. Tip: Put new batteries in it when you get it (batteries that came with mine were near dead — the guitar requires 2 batteries) AND get rechargeable 9V batteries because you *WILL* leave it plugged in and run down the batteries at some point after a late night jam session. Lastly, you can't beat the price when this one goes on sale!! Thanks GC! Oh, one last thing — when I first played it, I noticed a severe rattle/vibration as I played various lower notes. Certain notes were causing a strange resonance. I quickly diagnosed the problem to a lose retaining nut on one of the tuners that was causing a rattle. So, I recommend when you change strings, check that the retaining nuts on all the tuners are sufficiently but not over tight. I don't blame manufacturing since these nuts tend to loosen over time and now I know they are all tight! No more vibration.sivads
I bought this to create weird and ethereal sounds with effects from my Boss ME-80 like Tera Echo. I had some issues getting the guitar tuned and setup as it differs from my Steinberger floating tremolo system. After a lot of internet searching I got it dialed in and found it to be pretty cool. The guitar had no buzz, good intonation well finished frets which are huge and I like them. It is a pretty heavy guitar but no heavier than my Les Pauls. It really annoyed me that Schecter did not provide any documentation or tools. This is a very sophisticated piece of equipment and its operation is not intuitively obvious. Also it has two 9V battery compartments which were real devils to get open. They should not be putting in cheap compartments on an active pickup system where frequent battery changes may be needed. I should not have to pry open plastic doors with Xiem tools so that the plastic doesn't break. Just sayin. But to get the sounds and tones, you have to pay these intangible prices.. I recommend it to get the sounds but be forewarned that little things may get you PO'ed. Oh the beautiful maple quilt is almost invisible due to the dark over spray. It would have been much better if Schecter. had left some brightness on the quilt which really is quite a good piece of timber. Opportunity lost.Brianne
A few problems with this guitar… 1: I found out it's an open-box item. Which really means "used". The fret-board was dirty (sweat and dirt) other areas were also dirty. You couldn't have at least wiped it down and disinfected it? That should be standard practice regardless of a pandemic. 2: The volume pot was not tight (Irritating) 3: The sustainiac doesn't seem to be disengaging when I turn it off. I put a new battery in it, made sure it worked then tuned it off. The next morning the battery was dead. 4: The FR Special. The cost between a Special FR and an Original FR is about $100, A small price to pay for tuning stability. The Good; 1: The finish is nice and smooth (after I cleaned it) 2:Grover machine heads (So nice) 3: The sustainiac (A true gift from the heavens)Scott B.

Overall: Everything was amazing when I got but when I tried to change the strings there was a major quality control issue so be careful. The ball of the strings do not come out the back and thus I can’t even get the factory strings out to change them. I’ve tried everything. Sadly I must return this guitar.
So just got this guitar and am very impressed, I have been playing, collecting, and modding guitars for over a decade and here's where it's at, other guitar manufacturers better take notes. First the neck and frets are smooth, easy to play, and nicely spaced with unparalleled upper fret access. Don't be intimidated by the "X-jumbo" frets if you have smaller hands cause I promise you this C-8 is much easier to play than my Jackson Soloist 8. (not to mention much lighter than the Jackson too) The bridge is very solid and locking tuners are a nice touch and are every bit as solid as the AllParts ones I swap to frequently, that being said you must consider how high of string gauge you're going to want cause the locking tuners can only accommodate so much. Electronics are top notch and the pups on this thing are HOT! easily the hottest pickups I've ever played with and I've used EMGs, SDs, Dimarzios, Fishman, ect. Coil splitting is an awesome feature to come stock on a guitar as well, you just don't see that often anymore. Also something I found interesting is the wiring scheme as the volume pot nearest to the bridge is the bridge pup volume and the one behind it is the neck pup volume, I can understand why cause it makes working the controls easier, but just a bit unusual from what I'm used to. Excellent sustain and tone, very clean response that'll sing, scream, chug, gallop, screech, cry, wail, or whatever else you had in mind. Finally we have the looks, and she looks good! The picture looks quite different than mine as mine has smoother patterns to the silver and more of a grain to it, the silver also reflects stage lighting in a neat way. Add to that the unique fret markers, the glow-in-the-dark dots, and the super clean finishing, and you have one fine machine! Also props on this; mine came out of the box almost perfectly setup and nearly in tune, the only flaw was that the neck pickup jarred loose in shipping, and two seconds with a screwdriver fixes that lol!Vex the mad guitar mage
Overall: Just got this bad boy from you guys. First off the paint job is incredible. Front to back beautiful. The design reminds me of being in a creepy forest like a death metal video. The sonic seducer pickups are clear as hell. The low 8 comes out clear and punchy enough to probably blow the windows out of your house and probably a section of wall too. The coil split knob is great too, tightens up your sound really nicely and clean. The guitar virtually weighs nothing, i thought i had an empty box when i got it lmao. This guitar looks brilliant. The satin blue finish is exceptionally svelte. It's a decent guitar from a playing standpoint, but is more suited for the intermediate player getting their first upgrade to a more pro-like guitar. Particular people (like myself) will be disheartened by its poor quality binding that has obvious flaws where it meets the guitar body below the top wood. This wouldn't bother me half as much if the flaws were in places I couldn't see while playing, or if there were less of them. This flaw continues throughout the whole guitar – neck, headstock, and body. Mine was supposed to be a brand new guitar, but came pre-blemished – or pre-played. It has what appears to be pick scrapes on the body below the pickups (where this type of damage is usually found). There is also a mystery substance located behind the bridge in tiny little spots. (Consistent with a sneeze spray). Above the pickups, in approximately the same place your picking hand rests, there is a wide blemish that looks like it happened post-factory. The sound is what you'd expect, the active pickups do sterilize the tone as usual. I recommend upgrading to passive high-output humbuckers for a much warmer tone. The neck feels like a thinner Les Paul type neck. Plenty of resonance and sustain with the string-thru bridge and set-neck assembly. The neck is smooth, but not fast. This guitar's tone control may as well have been left off. Slight roll backs do nothing. And even when you go full sweep, the tone only slightly changes. I pull this guitar out of tune constantly as big wide bends are a part of my style. Locking tuners would be a HUGE upgrade, and will be one of my first mods, after the passive pups, and a coil-tap. It really is a beautiful instrument. But I feel a bit ripped off for paying "new" prices for "used" equipment.Dennis H.
This guitar plays and sounds great. I was looking for a guitar for a while, and played a ton of different brand and different price range guitars for a few months, and I kept coming back to this one. This guitar plays as good if not better as many guitars priced much higher that I played. I am very happy with the purchase. There are a couple very minor blems in the binding, but something you wouldnt notice if you didnt look very close. I think the EMG pickups sound great not only with high gain, but also with clean tones. The neck pickup (85) has a great chimey sound with cleans in particular. Songs that were difficult for me on cheaper guitars play great on this. Love the action and responsiveness. Your fingers can dance across the fretboard effortlessly. The active EMG 85/81 pickups pair well with the mahogany body so far. Any weird tones were due to me playing around and experimenting with my Katana amp settings rather than the guitar. It came new and ready to play with minor tuning-the intonation, truss, etc were all dialed in. The finish is beautiful and smooth, the frets were in perfect shape as well.JS

I just got one of these for ~$200 off for being 'open box'. I think someone returned it due to some very minor cosmetic QC issues. The tone knob was a little high, the fretboard was bone dry and looked like they dripped some oil on it but forgot to rub it in, and the finish was a little rough in a couple spots where it meets the binding. So I dropped the knob down, oiled the fretboard, and buffed out the rough edges. Took about 30 minutes. Not even worth taking a star off in my opinion. Now for the thing that matters most, what you're really paying for here: the fretwork. It's fantastic, and stainless steel means it will stay that way. The fret ends were filed and beveled nicely and the neck binding is doing it's job. They aren't boutique shop hemispherical fret ends, but they're very nicely done. Nice and even, well crowned and polished, no sharp spots anywhere. I checked every fret between every string with a fret rocker. There are a couple of frets and a few spots on some frets where I can get it to 'rock' slightly, but it's almost imperceptible. Not enough to noticeably affect action, not really worth spot leveling. This is about as good as it gets on any mass produced guitar made anywhere at any price. Action out of the factory was higher than necessary as expected, but after putting on some slightly heavier strings and adding some relief I was able to drop the action down to ~2/64th of an inch or 0.75mm on both the 1st and 7th strings at the 12th fret. That's absurdly low for a mass produced guitar. I can make some buzz if I try, but not even enough to hear through an amp, and not at all when I'm playing normally. The rest? Locking tuners, fluence moderns, stainless frets; you already know what these are. They all work as expected. Bends are very smooth. The satin neck feels great. Palm muting is extremely easy and comfortable thanks to the flat, angled bridge. Tone is great, plays great. Fantastic for the priceguitaranon
Overall: At first glance this was a great guitar. Love flame tops, and the neck woods are great. But I think the combo of tone woods was a bit too much. There is NO, ZERO, low end to this guitar. I say that with a caveat of comparing it to other guitars. It could just be the particular one I have, but there is lack of warmth in it. Mids are present, and the Fishmans clear up and tighten them, but again no lows. I have to crank the resonance control on my Invective head to get any sorta bump, and doing fast alternate picking on the low string just sounds like scraping the pick on the strings. "Oh it's just your technique dude". If I'm saying that, clearly I've looked into it. So again maybe just the one I have, but I couldn't gel with it.

The slim but long scale neck makes this guitar so easy to play and reach the upper octaves. The sustainiac pickup will scream at very faint volume. Freaking nice!!! I had no idea what I was missing out on. This is now my main guitar out of 44 customs. You can do so much with this guitar. Gotta getcha' one!!!

This is a great looking and great playing guitar, but that's about it for me. The pups and electronics have little to be desired. They'd be great for players that play Super low tunings and players that dig the whole Djent thing. I bought this for D Minor and Drop C Minor tunings and the sound was just muddy and not very articulate at all in the range. I swapped my 12-54 Strings for 13-60 and tuned it Down to A Standard and plugged it into my Blackstar Series One; then, it showed its potential. I would not recommend it for anything higher than a B tuning on these pickups. The set-Up was poor out of the box. Nasty fret buzz even when it was tuned to E Minor. The Floyd was diving once it was tuned and the intonation was off by roughly a half cent on all strings but the the high E. The fret ends are rough and the finish was sub-par. After adjusting the neck relief, rolling and crowning the frets, lowering and floating the trem, and restringing and tuning, it plays extremely well, but if a cat doesn't know how to do all that work themselves, having a pro set up to play this nicely would be a $500+ tech bill (at a good hourly rate). Therefore, in order to make it a nice instrument with a case, you'd be 2K into the cost, and I honestly wouldn't validate that for a mass produced South Korean guitar. the only reason I've kept it was because I saw potential and worked out the kinks. I also replaced the pups with a Seymour Duncan Sentient and a Seymour Duncan Pegasus with DiMarzio Pots. Now, it's a great instrument.Unexpecting the Expected
My first impression was holy cow this thing weighs like nothing. Overall the guitar is beautiful and the action is like butter. The tone of the Schecter pickups blows my EMGs away so I'm super pleased with that too. The paint job on this is incredible. The deep reds looks insane in the right lighting and it really grabs the eye. I'm not super impressed with how the paint job looks where it meets the edge of the face of the guitar. There's spots that like they did a bad job taping off the edge and there's like a white line which I assume is a bit of primer. The frets are much wider on this than my ESP which was a big change at first but actually plays a lot cleaner that way so I'm learning to love it. Overall I'm quite happy with it and I'd def buy it again. Considering picking up the six string model as well.Banks the shredder
I discovered Schecters when I got a Hellraiser on a whim. It was so good that I wound up with this guitar and an Evil Twin, even though my main guitars remain traditional Gibsons and Fenders. But Schecter makes very well thought out and well designed and built guitars that, IMHO, rival some of the Japanese Ibanezes if you play that kind of stuff. The tones won't match things like my AZ2202, but I find them useful for some things. Both my Hellraiser and Evil Twin have active pickups, so I wanted one Schecter with passive pups. These are also my only 24 fret guitars, occasionally that is nice to have. I'll probably wind up keeping just one of the 3, it will be the Apocalypse or the Evil Twin, but all of these Schecters are great values, beautifully built for the price.

Had a lot of fun playing the C-1. It's a great guitar for Metal n Heavy Rock. If your on a budget this is a no brainer. The guitar has a really nice neck that isn't to fat and feels good in my hands but is not a shredder neck either/ Kinda in the middle/ The EMG's deliver bone crushing lows with a smooth bluesy type high end. Normally not a "Schecter Guy" but was one over by the pure versatility of the instrument. This guitar is also is great for down-tuning so Nails Master of Reality Sabbath n Sleep tones but can also of course due heavier music like Sepultura/ Mayhem etc. The interesting thing is that it sounds great clean – really on the neck pickup n with the right Amp like an Orange Rockerverb MkIII will get you a nice CREAM tone thou is better running thru an ENGL or REVV type amp but either way it's a solid guitar. Only down sides are the EMG"S are "muddy" at times and the tuners are low end, But if your looking for something under a grand and play Metal this Guitar won't let you down- Rawk It!TONY

The frets are much wider on this than my ESP which was a big change at first but actually plays a lot cleaner that way so I'm learning to love it. I discovered Schecters when I got a Hellraiser on a whim. It was so good that I wound up with this guitar and an Evil Twin, even though my main guitars remain traditional Gibsons and Fenders. But Schecter makes very well thought out and well designed and built guitars that, IMHO, rival some of the Japanese Ibanezes if you play that kind of stuff. The tones won't match things like my AZ2202, but I find them useful for some things. Both my Hellraiser and Evil Twin have active pickups, so I wanted one Schecter with passive pups. These are also my only 24 fret guitars, occasionally that is nice to have. I'll probably wind up keeping just one of the 3, it will be the Apocalypse or the Evil Twin, but all of these Schecters are great values, beautifully built for the price.

As a Schecter user since 2002, I've been able to see their products improve from year to year. With this Hybrid Hellraiser, the build of this guitar is borderline flawless. A great combination of the SLS body style but the audio girth of their Hellraiser models. For a 7 string, it is about as light and fast as possible. Even though it's meant to handle the heaviest of metal, the neck is smooth enough to deal with a variety of styles. The stock locking tuners are solid as is my favorite EMG combination the 66/57 which provides all the goods. Headroom but gain, bite but warmth. To top it off, the looks of the guitar is as classy as possible. From whatever light is shining on it, the trans black is either a slight green, or a dark grey. So the personality of the guitar varies as much as what you choose to play on it. I've yet to own a bad Schecter. And this is the best one yet. It leaves all LTD's and Ibanez's in this price range in the dust.Druzovich
You do not have to spend $5,000 to achieve big boy vibe. The features on this guitar well exceed the price. I am pretty blown away with the impression it’s made and I just got it. After a good set up this guitar will gladly catch anything you thrown at it. You will definitely feel like a rock star with a Blackjack in your hands. The tone capability seems to be endless, I can’t really find an end to them. If you buy one of these, I promise you will be very happy that you did. But i was interested in the Sustainiac pickup, so i took a chance and bought this model because i did not want the active EMG pick up , wanted active . Now this guitar is not cheap as you can see. So here it is open the box amazed at what i saw, stunning guitar, Came set up perfect slight tuning adjustment that was it , the intonation was right on..Lets talk neck ..thin 'C' with a 12”-16” Compound Radius ..Are you kidding ? Wow. Its probably the best i ever played compound radius along with a thin 'c' neck is like surf & turf…..Ebony fretboard ..super smooth tight grain , body and neck finish is flawless binding is perfect ,the pickups are real nice i am loving sustain and its real nice how they made it very adjustable . Only have a few days and i cannot put it down .sounds awesome , i play blues mostly and some rock and Santana, the sound is very clear and clean, i play through a Marshall dsl all tube, fender tube, and a Vox …On boost or other distortion it real kicks. .A…. I am very happy and would recommend this guitar to anyone regardless of the type of music you play , seems to cover a lot.. also its pretty light i would say around 7lb few oz's…it also has a set neck not a bolt on… Very impressed with this, only regret is i never bought one earlier..John

This guitar looks brilliant. The satin blue finish is exceptionally svelte. It's a decent guitar from a playing standpoint, but is more suited for the intermediate player getting their first upgrade to a more pro-like guitar. Particular people (like myself) will be disheartened by its poor quality binding that has obvious flaws where it meets the guitar body below the top wood. This wouldn't bother me half as much if the flaws were in places I couldn't see while playing, or if there were less of them. This flaw continues throughout the whole guitar – neck, headstock, and body. Mine was supposed to be a brand new guitar, but came pre-blemished – or pre-played. It has what appears to be pick scrapes on the body below the pickups (where this type of damage is usually found). There is also a mystery substance located behind the bridge in tiny little spots. (Consistent with a sneeze spray). Above the pickups, in approximately the same place your picking hand rests, there is a wide blemish that looks like it happened post-factory. The sound is what you'd expect, the active pickups do sterilize the tone as usual. I recommend upgrading to passive high-output humbuckers for a much warmer tone. The neck feels like a thinner Les Paul type neck. Plenty of resonance and sustain with the string-thru bridge and set-neck assembly. The neck is smooth, but not fast. This guitar's tone control may as well have been left off. Slight roll backs do nothing. And even when you go full sweep, the tone only slightly changes. I pull this guitar out of tune constantly as big wide bends are a part of my style. Locking tuners would be a HUGE upgrade, and will be one of my first mods, after the passive pups, and a coil-tap. It really is a beautiful instrument. But I feel a bit ripped off for paying "new" prices for "used" equipment.Dennis H.
This guitar plays and sounds great. I was looking for a guitar for a while, and played a ton of different brand and different price range guitars for a few months, and I kept coming back to this one. This guitar plays as good if not better as many guitars priced much higher that I played. I am very happy with the purchase. There are a couple very minor blems in the binding, but something you wouldnt notice if you didnt look very close. I think the EMG pickups sound great not only with high gain, but also with clean tones. The neck pickup (85) has a great chimey sound with cleans in particular. Songs that were difficult for me on cheaper guitars play great on this. Love the action and responsiveness. Your fingers can dance across the fretboard effortlessly. The active EMG 85/81 pickups pair well with the mahogany body so far. Any weird tones were due to me playing around and experimenting with my Katana amp settings rather than the guitar. It came new and ready to play with minor tuning-the intonation, truss, etc were all dialed in. The finish is beautiful and smooth, the frets were in perfect shape as well.JS

15. Schecter Synyster Custom-S Electric Guitar Satin Gold Burst

Schecter synyster custom-s i had for the last two years. it has a covered synyster signature pickup in bridge and sustainiac in neck. new cts volume and tone potentiometers (stock wasn't good). frets were polished ~1/2 year ago. plays amazing, especially in dropped (or slightly downtuned) tunings. there is a little scratch (you can see it on photo) on body. doesn't affect anything but look of the instrument. bag on photo is included. it has a huge pocket on the bag, where you can carry a pedalboard / effect processor, laptop (up to 17"), etc.

I have had my eyes on this guitar for years but have not been able to afford to purchase it outright. So about a year ago Behringer had a promotion going on with a no credit check, so I decided to take advantage of that by purchasing a powered mixer on credit with no interest. I made the payments on time and successfully paid it off. So after about 7 months after that I was surfing the AMS website as I always do from time to time and I noticed that on my account it said Rockstar no credit check and I called and spoke to a representative from AMS to check and see exactly what that meant and the representative informed me that I was in good standing as far as my credit goes and I was now able to get this awesome guitar that I have dreamed of owning. It is truly stage worthy and it is the best guitar I have ever owned. It has 2 individual pickups that are in a class of their own. One of them is a Shecter custom, and the other is a sustaining pickup. They sound great individually or combined. It is one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen or owned in my life. I highly recommend, which is the one I have, is the black and gold finish. Also I took a chance, not knowing exactly what it would look like, except by a picture on the website, is the PRS ACC-3135 gold guitar strap. When I opened the package and pulled it out and placed in on the guitar it was a perfect match. It brought out the contrast between the black and gold finish like they were meant to be together. The only problem that I had is that when I placed the Floyd Rose tremelo handle into the socket, it kept falling out, thinking to myself this is the worst designed Floyd Rose I have ever seen. I was frustrated at first, so I decided to put my glasses on and investigate the situation a little further and I noticed that there was a tiny Allen wrench set screw that needed to be tightened nd. There was no wrench included with the guitar and I had to purchase one separately. I recommend that you NOT buy the all in one assorted set but buy individual separate wrenches, because you will take a chance on ruining the finish with the all in one set. That was the only problem that I had with this guitar. Other than that, there were no other issues that I had.
AMS had the guitar shipped extremely quick! Schecter USA did an great job setting up the guitar as well as the guitar was already completely set up to play. As a whole this guitar really delivers in every aspect! My favorite feature is the ultra-thin C neck. The sustainiac gives you pretty much endless options when playing any A7X riffs or your own. 5-stars because I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone as well buying from AMS!!!Vocantem

This is a fantastic 7 string for the price. First off, it looks more expensive than it is, and the satin finish is beautiful. More importantly though, it just feels right. The minute you pick it up and start chugging you feel at home. I was surprised how nice the pick ups are, too. This is without a doubt the best inexpensive 7 string. It costs a little more than a few of the others, but it is well worth it because the main reason for the price difference is the electronics are actually pretty good. It's perfect for what I got it for, unleashing low snarly growls great for any kind of heavy playing. I use a Line 6 Spider III and can get some surprisingly nice beefy tones out of this thing. Overall it looks and sounds like a more expensive guitar (sounds as good or better than my KH202) and feels great. Schecter makes some amazing guitars, including this one.JB

This is a fairly good guitar, and for the price it's definitely a great value. I can't find really anything wrong with the actual sound of the guitar. Sure the stock pickups are not the best in the world, but they are a good starting point, and with the right tweaking you can get some great sound from them. As far as build quality, the important things are taken care of. The fret ends an unnoticeable, and smooth across the entire neck. It did come set up from the factory with fairly low action, but in standard tuning and 1-step down it sounds great. It was well intonated and there is no fret buzz at all that I can tell. The tuners hold up well even after hours of playing, and unless I choose to change tunings there hasn't been any need to retune constantly like with some cheaper tuners on some lower end models. Really the only thing negative I would have to say so far is something that I feel is insignificant to warrant any removal of stars. I thoroughly examined every inch of the body for defects and there is only a small miniscule pinhole sized mark on the entire things, it literally looks like someone barely poked it with the tip of a pencil before it was painted, and you can only notice it holding the guitar completely sideways and look for it. The other thing that was off was that the tone switch was basically tightened backwards. The front position is the bridge and the back position is the neck. Fixing that would just be a matter of just untightening it and rotating it, but I have actually chose to just leave it be for the time being. The overall quality and has made those two things not matter in the slightest. I would definitely recommend this for a good budget friendly 7 string. It's really a good barebones guitar that focuses on the the value of components rather than just a flashy veneer that makes up the majority of the price. If you value playability and getting good bank for your buck, this is definitely the way to go.Charlie

I was looking for another guitar to add to my collection but I wanted to add color as I own enough White, Black and typical Sunburst. I ran across an ad while websearching for ProAudioStar and I had never dealt with them before. So I went to their site to browse their inventory and check their pricing. I found their pricing better then other online vendors. While browsing the Schecter C-6 Deluxe in Satin Metallic Light Blue really caught my eye. I had heard good things about Schecter but never owned one or play one so I read the description and specs and I decided to buy it. The guitar arrived the next day and I unpacked it, plugged it into my amp, tuned it and was very surprised at how well it played and sounded. I was fooled by the price. I had figured I would have to tweak it here or there as you do with other guitars in the price range but I was wrong. I couldn't believe how much the Schecter exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is superb and the guitar feels so natural to my hands like it was made for them. We now have 3 Sawtooth guitars. We are extremely pleased with all of them. We have an acoustic, electric, and now this beginner's electric guitar pack. Our youngest son won't put this guitar down. The black is a cool see through gloss. You can see the wood grain through the gloss finish. The guitar is of good quality. Much better than I thought it would be.The amp is portable, and can be used for headphones. Take note, that this is an amp that takes batteries (9 volt), or you can get an adapter for it. Did not receive all items that was displayed with this package ( missing was Gig soft case bag ) one of the reasons why I chose this package, my grand son was disappointed.
