Reviews:
Thank you for asking about my recent purchase of the Bosch Router. It took a couple of weeks to start my project using the new router but now that I have started I am really appreciating it. It was easy to set up and the instructions were easy to follow. I am also glad I decided to get the combo set because I am using both bases for this project. Only one issue though. The plastic Chip Deflector for the plunge base was broken.Edward
I bought this kit back in 2012 as I was just getting into woodworking on a more regular basis. There were a lot of options to choose from, but this frequently came up as one of the most highly reviewed router kits available, so I took the plunge (pun intended) and purchased it locally. Let's go ahead and clear the air immediately with the only two things I'm not particularly fond of. 1) the wooden knobs on the fixed base tend to come a little loose and need occasional tightening. 2) Sliding the motor in either base can be a little frustrating at times. Now, neither of the issues above is a deal-breaker by any means, and the first one is completely negated in my case because I have the fixed base mounted under my router table. The plunge base is a joy to use, very comfortable and intuitive. Both the 1/2" and 1/4" collets are high quality, and have never loosened on me after being initially tightened. I've also used this router to make raised panels and ogee rail and stile doors, and found it had ample power for the task. The variable speed and fine adjustment on the fixed base make it an excellent option if you're looking for both a router table and plunge router solution. Accessories from third parties for this kit will, however, require the approriate adapters from Bosch. For example, I have a Porter Cable dovetail jig, and needed the Bosch collar adapter to use the supplied collars from Porter Cable. After that, no problem. I love this kit so much I doubt I'll replace it for anything other than failure. I may end up getting a second motor, just so I can keep one in each base.Dustin86
Atypically of Bosch, not everything fit perfectly out of the box. The fixed base was very slightly ovoid-shaped, which means the router body, which is a perfect cylinder, does not slide smoothly at all into it. They may have fixed this by now – not sure, I just tossed the fixed base because I switched this router over to being used in a router lift, so I don't need it. Oddly, the plunge base is fine. No fitment problems at all. As for the router itself, it's great. Does everything I ask of it easily and with no fuss. Been using it for a long time now and never had a problem with it.Brandon

Reviews:
I bought this router because I have a job where I have to install 43 slab doors in a house. I'm using it with my hinge template and it keeps getting out of adjustment. I can't get it to lock in place. Even with the lock on, I can move the adjustment. I have to check the depth between each hinge routing. It even moves while I'm using it. Very frustrating. It's going to make me look like a hack because I have hinge mortises that are deeper than they are supposed to be and I'm going to have to use hinge shims.Doorguy
I bought a cheap trim router after the baring failed within 30 days, maybe an hour of use. This router is veritable speed, well balanced, fits and stays cool in your hand. The motor has an attach ring for fine adjusting that works flawlessly. The plunge base is an awesome accessory that makes it function like my full size router without the weight or size I highly recommend this router and would buy it again.rexj2007
Wow, I cant believe I waited so long to buy this little power house. It feels great and is comfortable too use, Its my favorite router to date. Im just starting to make custom signs and this is by far the best router. If you need to do heavy work then you might look into the 618 router. The only thing I would say negative about this router (and its not that bad just my personal preference) is I would love to have an opening in the back as well. like some other routers, it would make for better clearing of sawdust and visibility. I also purchased a aftermarket base plate which had handles on the base plate for better control of fine detail. but over all this is a great little router for small and medium jobs.Louie

Reviews:
Very please with my purchase, my choice was made after reading many reviews from a variety of sources. The router is fairly large but comfortable to use, the build quality is easy to appreciate along with the range of speeds and the options for depth of cut, especially the micro adjustment. What surprised me is the three year guarantee by registration of the tool on the Triton website. This bonus wasn’t mention in any reviews I read, not even in the description by Toolstation. I do look after all my tools and treat them with respect, so my only complaint would be the lack of a carry case for this tool, small point but worth mentioning.RAYZR100
Bought this at screwfix live – looking to use it for some kitchen worktop joining. Says that it is supplied with a plunge base. It is NOT!. You cannot use it in a table jig without buying a converter for it – which screwfix don't sell! (The trend universal one won't fit). No doubt a solid table mounted router. But seems a little tight not to include a basic adaptor for jig work…..PaulT1234
This router is a true powerhouse. Very well made and designed I bought it for an under the table mount on a shaper table that is used primarily for window production. After drilling a hole in the shaper table's mounting plate for the router's quick wind handle, changing bits is a breeze. No more knuckle-busting under the table adjusting. The height lock is easy and very reliable – no more bit drifting from those unreliable cam lock router bases. Home Depot had the best price and had it delivered to my door in no time. Should have bought one of these years ago!PJohnston

Reviews:
I will preface this by saying I’m a novice woodworker, and this is the only router I’ve ever used. But I love it! It’s powerful, and has no trouble getting through tough hardwood and knots. The bits are relatively simple to change, and I love both the fixed and plunge bases my set came with for cutting rabbets, dados, tongue and groove joinery, and of course roundovers and chamfered edges. The customer service was excellent when I was missing a part and they shipped it to me for free in a week or so. I love that it takes both 1/4” and 1/2” shank bits, so it’s very versatile. Paired with a straight edge, I was even able to square up some pallet wood for repurposing. This is definitely one of the most used tools in my (modest) shop. Highly recommend.kaitlin.n
I purchased a Dewalt DW618PKB router from Lowes on July 11th. After unpacking it, I discovered that the 1/2" collet was missing. I immediately contacted Dewalt support and they said a collet would be sent to me within 2 weeks. When 2 weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything, I contacted Dewalt support again but got no response. 2 days later, I contacted them again and was told the collet was backordered and they had no idea when/if it would be shipped. So I returned the original router to Lowe's and purchased another DW618 they had in stock. But this one was also missing the 1/2" collet. So I returned that router and went to Home Depot to buy the DW618 router there. And for the 3rd time, the 1/2" collet was missing from the box. The information printed on the box as well as in their online advertising clearly states that 1/4" and 1/2" collets are included with the DW618 router. But that is obviously not the case after purchasing 3 of them in 2 weeks and none of them had the 1/2" collet. That is very misleading and false advertising. I contacted Dewalt support 3 more times expressing my frustration trying to find a router with a 1/2" collet and asking them to escalate my issue. The end result was they closed my open ticket and marked it complete. So over 3 weeks have gone by and I'm still without a router with a 1/2" collet. This is unacceptable for a company like Dewalt. I have purchased numerous Dewalt tools in the past but it will be hard to ever purchase another one after this incident and how they have handled it.Jim Collins
I've mounted this router in my Bosch table, and it was challenging because it has four short screws attaching the sub-base, but only 3 screws (and they are longer 1/2" ones) are needed to mount it to the table. Drove me nuts until I found a mounting diagram in the Bosch manual. I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused about the 1/2" collet. I thought mine was missing until I read the manual carefully and learned the 1/4" collet was inside the 1/2" collet! So far I've just used a roundover bit and it seems to work fine. While I am able to adjust depth of cut by unlatching the latch and pushing up or letting it down, I CANNOT get the height adjustment RING to budge at all. I may be doing something wrong, but the manual sheds no light on the process. I may call customer service if I don't figure it out. I'd also like to know how to keep wood chips out of the motor in the upside-down position.PRSDC

Reviews:
My father in law is a professional cabinet/furniture maker and master carpenter. I can’t explain the look he gave me when he found out I didn’t use a router. “That’s one of the first three tools you’re gonna need to do woodworking.”, he said. I hadn’t used one since 8th grade shop class. I saw some videos and read a ton of reviews and across the board everyone raves about this little router. I have to say I was not let down. Now that I have it I don’t know what took me so long to pick one up. If it got lost, stolen, or broken I don’t think I could live without it now. It’s opened up new horizons for me. I’ve reversed door hinges (coupled with a hinge jig), built shelves and cabinets that look SO much better with simple routered edges and the edge guide is great for running grooves. I love having the option of taking simple 1x mat’l and being able to do round overs or do coves in material. I bought a 30 pc router bit set to try different edging options. Haven’t done dovetails yet but that’s an upcoming project. I’m also going to try a cutout bit for cutting the siding out on a shed for my door- see if it can handle 3/8” smart siding. Anyway, you can add me to the very long list of folks who love this compact router. I intend to get a corded 1/2” shank router at some point for heavier duty applications but this does just fine for now. The one thing I can’t comment on yet is how it performs in hardwood- haven’t fooled with that yet. I assume it’s capabilities (like anything) has limitations. I think what it’s designed for is brilliant and will not disappoint. Great product!Mdzl
Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL compact router gives you corded router performance without the need for an outlet. It is capable of delivering 31,000 RPMs and weighs a very minimal 2.95 lbs. RPMs can be adjusted from 10000 to 31000 via a speed dial on the router. The router takes 1/4” shank router bits which you use a wrench to change out the bits. Adjusting the height of the router is easy and precise with a dial for fine adjustments, total adjustable range is 1 1/2”. Included is a 4” base plate or a 5 3/4” base place for easy control as you are running the router. On a fully charged 5.0 battery you can make up to 250 linear feet of cuts. I always like the fact that I can move over to cordless tools and the question is always how this would effect performance. This tool is super compact and easy to carry making it an easy decision to switch over to cordless. In terms of performance, because the control settings and height adjustment settings are so precise, I feel like it performs as well as a corded router. I do a lot of wood working and even in my workshop I still prefer to use this tool over my older corded routers which I have used for so many years. You do have to make sure to find good hand placement on this router because if not you will accidentally adjust the height of the router. Overall very powerful router!Young
Easy to use router for the someone not familiar with routers! Recently retired Industrial Electrician/Machinist who has taken a liking to a bit of woodworking. Needed a router for a small project; I have always been a Milwaukee cordless man, so I purchased this rig. Just needed to rout out a groove. I was surprised to find that, with the bits I had previously purchased, I was able to get the project done, just like I wanted within an hour of opening the box. Powerful, precise little machine. Easy as heck to use. I am looking forward to using it for many more projects in the future.Griffentech

Reviews:
I have been using this router for a month now and it is very powerful and so handy to use being cordless. I love the electric brake. I have ordered the plunge base and waiting for it to arrive. Great size and fits my hand nicely. I prefer to use the 2Ah lightweight battery it doesn't feel as top heavy as a 5 Ah (personal quirk) the 2 Ah gives me plenty of run time while my second battery is charging. What I like about cordless tools is cleanup time in a shop. All you do is turn the tool off and stick it in the cabinet. Corded tools you have to spend time coiling up the cord and tucking them neatly away. When I go to use a corded tool again I pull it out and the cord will always drag and often pull a wrench or bit out with it, which end up on the floor. This does not happen with my cordless router. I have decided all new power tools I buy will be cordless and after reviewing the differences between Dewalt and other major brands I have settled on the Dewalt format. Dewalt has been a better innovator bringing the newest tech to the market faster and offering brush less tools in categories that their competitors still promote brushed tools. So Dewalt will be the go to brand. If you still prefer corded tools – well start watching Craig's List there will be some good deals, because I am selling my corded and replacing them with Dewalt cordlessPhil 500
I have used this tool on DIY projects with a friend and I knew I had to purchase to add to my collection of DeWalt cordless tools. I trust the brand and a no brainer when purchasing DeWalt. I already own other DeWalt cordless power tools so I don't to purchase another 20V batteries (I purchased tool only). I like the size and balance with battery when operating this tool. Another feature that makes this tool easy to work with is depth adjustment ring which allows for fast and easy height adjustments as you need. I also like the dual LED lights that help illuminate the work surface. The cordless router is equipped with variable speed control for optimal bit speed in each application – in my case I use to make grooved cross cuts and it chewed through the wood pretty easily with a clean cut. I've used this tool for about 6 months now and truly impressed every time.RamosDesigns
I haven't actually used this to it's full capacity quite yet, but I have tested it extensively. The adjustments take a bit getting used to as well as getting the "feel" of it's working capacity. I do like the incremental adjustments and the fact that it does lock-in with no slipping. While cutting in, it did have a slight decrease in power but not really too noticeable as in, it didn't bog down or anything. It performs quite well. And the led lights help with low-light situations. Has speed adjustment knob from 1-7(same as the XR 1/4 sheet sander). Also offers options for attachments with mounting holes. It comes with the clear plexi base to easily see while you're working. A must have and recommended!rockyoha

Reviews:
Great heavy duty router. My last Milwaukee Tool router, a 5615-29, ran strong for 30 yrs until the electric motor burnt out possibly due to being mounted underneath my table saw. I’ve used this new router a few times ( only had it a couple weeks now ) making hardwood cutting boards and the variable speed is a plus while using larger bits. A bonus is that the base and collets are the same as my old one so I also have spare parts. I recommend this product.Mike S.
I wanted to wait until I had used this a few times before reviewing it. I have no complaints about the quality, value, performance, or anything else with my Milwaukee 5615-24 router kit. It will be used a lot with my DIY router table to make raised panel doors, so I made a few practice cuts on scrap wood and couldn't be happier with the quality of cut that was achieved. Of course the router bits have a lot to do wit that too, but the router is smooth with absolutely no vibration, and when used free-hand, it's easy to maneuver and control. The depth adjustments are easy to make, and the micro adjustment makes it easy to fine tune your depth of cut to make those precise cuts. It comes with an attachment to hook up a shop vacuum with an adapter for small hoses, or in my case, our 40 year old Kenmore household canister vacuum that has a hose that fits perfectly. I wanted a router with both a fixed and plunge base, and while there are a few brands available with kits that have both, I settled on the Milwaukee after reviews I read or that I watched on YouTube where it scored consistently high in all areas tested. I have many Milwaukee tools, both corded and cordless, so I also made my decision based on my experiences with those tools.autotech622
my first router.EVER!!!.can't compare to other routers as milwaukee power tools are the ONLY power tools i buy.only 2 issues I have with the bases.1st issue is the non plunge base. i did practice cut for dados cause i was going to install 3/4 x 3/8 t tracks in my work table.i did 3 cuts at 1/8 incraments.1st 2 cuts were fine. the last 3/8th cut i couldn't get rigth.alwal to deep or shallow.the last cat i used a step gauge 4 times. i noticed when i had the bit height at 3/8, when i tigthend the motor clamp it shifted the depth.after 4 practice cut with all the 3rd cuts being off i decided to try somthing different,i did 4 more 3 depth cuts on a new board.this time first 2 1/8 cuts with hand held base. 3rd and last cut i used the plunge be base by placing 2 t tracks side by side 4 inches apart using them as a depth gauge .with motor in plunge base i plunged the router and held it the tigthend the clamp. PERFECT 3/8 DEPTH!!!.2nd issue is the plunge base. my work table is a full 4' x 8'.i'm not tall so i had to adjust my positions to accomadate to cuts.on the plunge base you can't adjust the depth rod. but there's a turret on the plunge base THAT you can. well THAT turret perturdes a 1/2" more tha the actual 6" base plate so while using the plunge base for my last cut and adjusting my position i had to twist the router.that 1/2" pertrude threw my cut off.JUST FYI. like i said MY 1ST ROUTER. JUST THINGS I NOTICED.the router is great. I NEED TO GET BETTERBob S

Reviews:
The "new" Colt palm router is a well-performing small router. I have an older model that still works well, but decided I needed another one so that I don't have to change bits as often. I particularly like the revised depth of cut scale–seems easier to use. My "new" Colt is a factory refurb unit that was priced within my range. Yeah, I am even thinking about getting another one!Satisfied DIY user
It is perfect. I already have half a dozen Bosch Colt routers dedicated to specific tasks in guitar building and needed another. Although some are set up for light edging and edge shaping this one is used for cutting the final dovetail in the bodies of small bodied guitars and ukuleles. It needs to operate at the peak power for quarter inch shaft bits. I very much appreciate the accurate speed controls, and use them constantly. The low noise and vibration levels are especially appreciated. My only issue was not having storage room for the case and guide, which were thrown away.John
I purchased this tool 4 years ago for a door slab job. I ran the tool for approximately 30 minutes with no issue. It has been properly stored since. Three days ago I pulled it out for another door slab job, and approximately 15 minutes in, the tool burned up and nearly caught fire before I could unplug it. That would have been one hell of a lawsuit. I contacted Bosch, and they said they would not replace this obviously defective tool. I would have to pay for a repair or replacement. "Take the bus!", I said. Even if it's well past its warranty, I still only used it for less than an hour. I'll never buy another Bosch tool again.Riley Williams

I purchased this to replace the spindle on my X-Carve CNC machine. I can't imagine a better choice. This router with its 1 1/4 horsepower motor has more than enough power to cut anything I throw at it. I cut mostly Maple and Oak. Router will run 3 hours+ and not even get warm. The adjustable speed is a must for cutting different materials. I run it at 17000 rpm (setting 3) to cut acrylic and max speed for most woods. It's small and very quiet compared to other routers in this category. Bits are easy to replace with the lock button on the side but it also gives you the option to use 2 wrenches. I will brag on this router among all my maker friends every chance I get.Rich
One of the best palm routers I have ever bought. Very low DB level. Made very well. A palm router should be easy to use and maintain. Plenty of power for eney routing job. And be comfortable to use. This little router fulfills these requirements. Very pleased with this purchase.waltevancleav_0
Ordered this to supplement my full size router that I (a) didn't want to pull out or (b) wouldn't fit for trim work. More than enough power for small jobs. Depth adjustment measurement is engraved in the router body and could extend a little further up the body so not to get lost behind the collar with short bits. Not sure about the the spindle lock. It is a spring loaded button that pushes a shaft into a hole drilled in the spindle. On mine the shaft doesn't seem to completely seat in the spindle hole. I've just gone ahead and used the two wrenches supplied to avoid the issue. Reconditioned price could not be beat by any recognized name manufacturer. OEM edge guide is basic but functional.mdixter

Reviews:
I've put in about 5 hours of actually running time on this router so far. It does use batteries fairly quickly, so you'll want to have at least two spares on hand. I've been very pleased with it, and would certainly buy one again. Easy to handle and great for those little trim jobs where the two handles router is much too cumbersome. I've been using it primarily on pine, giving some detail to the edges to use it as trim. A really great little tool.William
The router is great for the price point. It does the job well and has sufficient power for most trim routing applications. My only negative though about this is the handling of the tool, the grips are not in optimal locations and it is quite top heavy. The orientation of this device could use some improvements. With that being said, if you take your time, plan your motion and go slow it works very well.Weekend Warrior

I purchased this Router for my husband, and he never purchases anything without conducting thorough research. Love him, but my eyes roll to the back of my head when he starts discussing details and thinks I'm actually listening! ! I can promise that he did his due diligence, and is very happy with it. It was sold out on many websites, or if it was available, shipping was crazy. I tried to get one that I thought was a better router, and more expensive, and he wanted this one to add to his workshop. I've never purchased tools from Zoro, but I was pleasantly surprised and would purchase from here again.Zoro
This router is simply the best I've ever used. Bosch did the important stuff right! the plunging action is the smoothest I've ever used and when the router is locked it is rock solid. On top of the basics, there are a few nice extras like the LED light, the trigger switch and the ability to do a fine height adjustment after locking the plunge mechanism. This router is every bit the equal of the Festool products I've used and at less than half the price.Bryan M

I was in need of a more powerful machine so I picked this beast up. I have it attached to a router lift on my table. It is an excellent machine and I couldn't be happier. Very powerful and handles whatever I throw at it. I had an issue with the collet and Milwaukee was contacted. I cannot say enough about how they helped. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any of the Milwaukee line of tools.marcp
This is my second purchase of this model as my first router has seen HEAVY duty use over the ten years that I have had it. This model is heavy, but I have it attached to a cast iron router table. Used for many projects such as raised panels, T&G flooring, and architectural moulding. Quiet and smooth running compared to smaller sized models. Looking forward to having this new one for another ten years -at least- …and definately worth getting the first one back in running condition. .. Examples of a custom built set of doors, galley sideboard, bath vanity…all using this model of router.Donald
I mounted this router in a Jessem Master Liftll router lift. What a great combination. This router has so much power compared to what I was running before it seems like I’m running a stick of butter thru it. I wish I had bought this setup years ago. I have myself a small woodshop I make whatever my family members want. A lot of cabinets. So stiles and railes go thru this router. I have the 1 3/4 hp Milwaukee router, love it for hand held stuff. Used the 2 1/4 hp in a router table at the cabinet shop I used to work for, loved it. But this 3 1/2 hp is a beast. For the money there is no better one on the market. Milwaukee name says it all!!! In my description it says ‘avid do it yourselfer’ but I built cabinets professionally for some years……Jeffropapa

Reviews:
This is a nice little unit; my only beef is with the on/off switch. Its location is fine for a router table, ie. when the router is upside down. Right side up though, it's a long way from the grip and has an odd toggle feel due to the cover over the rocker switch. If you're cutting someplace away from the controlled environment of a worktable with jigs/clamps, it starts to feel sketchy taking one hand off the grip and hunting around for that switch.Zack
This router has been the standard for more than 40 years. It has all the features. Good power for its size. Accurate, high resolution depth adjustment. The easiest bit change technique ever made. The motor can be removed from the base just by loosening the base clamp and unscrewing the motor. The top of the motor is flat, allowing one to stand it upside down to change the bit. Easy change of the collets. Every kind of accessories like guide bushings and router inserts work with this router by default. There is a really nice D-handle base that works with this motor. The same collets for this router work with the 3-1/4 HP fixed base and plunge routers (also best in class rounters). There is one big problem with all Porter Cable (corded) routers: they are no longer manufactured. So sad.

I needed a dedicated router (1/2") for my router table. I hate to take them in and out. Saw a reconditioned one on CPO and took a chance. The unit arrived and looked "brand spanking new". This is my second purchase of a reconditioned Makita (the other is a 4/24 belt sander which also continues to work perfectly). […] continues to work as advertised. I would have ZERO reservation buying from CPO again. Nuff said.Makin Sawdust in Texas
I already owned two 1101 fixed base routers before I ordered the plunge kit. Don't get me wrong, I am not just a Makita guy. I own a 3- Bosch, 1 Porter Cable, 2 DeWalt, 1 Festool, 1 Craftsman, 1 Skil, 1 Hitachi, and 1 Black and Decker. The Makita is simply the most dependable, smoothest operating. I have used one 1101 in my router table for six or seven years. It has never been out of the table since the first day I put it in. These routers are apparently indestructible. But what I like most about the router is it has a good old fashioned switch and the plunge mechanism is smooth as silk. This is invaluable when routing dovetails with a jig. Would I like it even better if had a bright LED light? Yes, but it's durability, great switch, incredibly smooth operation are more important than the light. I rate this router far above all of the other routers I have including the Festool which is an incredibly over priced disappointment. I do wish Makita made a 8MM collet, but the Whiteside 1/2" to 8MM adaptor I use seems to hold the 8MM bits without slippage.Fenn

Just as I was beginning a large project that required a significant amount of routing my old standby Porter Cable router died. After doing some quick research I found the Skil 14 Amp router. Initially the lower cost was a concern as I believe you get what you pay for. After reading some of the comments I decided to give this unit a try. Its turned out to be a great choice. My project required routing pockets into pressure treated 6 x 6 timbers, with a total of approximately 32 linear feet of materials. Each timber had 2 pockets 4" x 10" plus a channel connecting them to a depth of 3/4" on two sides. A lot of material to be removed. Using a 1/2" straight bit each channel and pocket was routed in three passes. The router set-up was a breeze right out of the carton. The digital speed selector was easy to use, but I decided to lower the recommended RPM due to the wetness of the pressure treated timbers. It was also great to have the chip collector included with the plunge frame. This simple addition helped keep my shop from being knee deep in cuttings. In all, I'm extremely pleased with this router and would recommend its purchase.
I bought this as a first router, and I’m learning how to use it. In general it’s a powerful tool and so far has worked well for the things that I have tried like making dadoes for a jig I’m building. My biggest issue with it by far is what I find to be a very uncomfortable toggle power switch location on the motor housing. It’s pretty much impossible for me to reach it to turn off the router easily and quickly at the end of the cut without lifting my left hand entirely off the handle (and I have big hands and long fingers). This creates an awkward situation after a cut. Awkward is never good with spinning blades. In retrospect I would have bought a router with a handle switch or at least a switch positioned better.FWD
For the price, this router can't be beat. I got it back in early February and have it used it for quite a few projects since then. It's not my first router, it's my second, but it is my first router with a plunge base. The plunge base works well, the stop may not be the easiest to use (I can't compare since it's my first), but I was able to get it to do what I wanted. The LCD display is very nice for setting the RPMs. The LED light underneath is also nice for seeing where you are routing when plunge routing. The dust collection isn't great, but I have a Festool CT-15 that kind of makes up for the poor design on the router by just being a super amazing dust collector. Overall, it's a fantastic router, feels nicely well built, and includes fixed and plunge bases. If you need a router, this is a great option. Will it compete with routers two or three times the cost? I don't know, I haven't used those, but it works well for someone who is a part time hobbyist woodworker.Amanda
