Reviews:
As a bass player in a covers band, different tones and effects at needed for different artists. Really great fun researching a players sound and putting the effects into a patch. I found it easiest to hook up to a laptop using the free software, lining up all the effects, labelling it and adjusting some parameters. Then playing and rehearsing to adjust the sounds by ear. I got some great chorus sound for Guns n Roses, a decent Motrhead sound, and even some tricky Muse effects. Not to mention various mildly overdriven sounds and a really nice Classic Fender Precision tone. I even got a reasonable (not accurate) cello sound (intro to I Write Sins not Tragedies- Panic at the disco)sirbucketheadthethird
I purchased the Zoom B3n from MusiciansFriend when they showed up back in stock recently. I hoping that the 2.0 firmware upgrade from 2 months ago would be applied to current shipments of the product, but I received the B3n with 1.0 firmware. It was easy to install the device driver (although time patience is key), and the firmware upgrade went smoothly. The unit's basic sound performance seemed like an improvement from the base firmware, and more effects were included with the new firmware. I was also pleasantly surprised that the patch manager software was a breeze to download and use (Win7). In order to have everything available from Zoom to date, you have to use the patch manager to install the patches that have been made available over the past year or so. Patches are .zptc files, so custom patches can be shared and dragged and dropped into the software, and then onto your B3n. You can also use the patch manager software to backup or restore your complete unit, and the editing is a breeze. Swapping patch locations to organize for convenience can also be done more sanely in the software. I now have over 100 effects from Zoom, and 96 patches, all from Zoom, compared to the almost 70 effects and 75 patches initially received. I don't see myself needing to custom design that many patches, so having 150 available patch slots with up to 7 effects chained is great for me. I think Zoom did a great job considering the price point, but there is a learning curve, and you will spend several hours getting it together, so caveat emptor for sure! The snags are (1) the USB connector was a Micro-B, so luckily my son had a cable from his Samsung phone. Most equipment I have uses USB Mini-B. (2) The output impedance is 10K, so an output buffer may be necessary when inputting into lower impedances to avoid 'sound' changes from the B3n. (3) The 6 available pedal effects won't be accessible on the B3n unless you plug in and configure the Zoom Exp pedal. (4) HW/SW Learning Curve!StringBender
This unit has a great collection or really useable effects and simulators and the ability to chain seven 'effects' together is a huge plus. If you've ever struggled to get a chain of analogue effects to replicate the Muse 'Hysteria' sound, then worry no longer- a simple patch/preset on here will get you most of the way there. The interface is slightly confusing for accessing each of these in the chain, however, and takes a while to get used to. It is a metal body, with quality switches that work well and it feels solid and well made. The omission of a DI out is a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. The PC/Mac software isn't great either – you can basically just arrange the banks and patches on the device. Other applications for other multi effects allow you to alter the effects parameters and then save these to patched on the pedals. I hope Zoom look to enhance this software. All in all, if you want a single, portable box solution (with headphone out and aux in!) then this is a very good piece of kit.

I just got it, I'm learning the bass, chose this for my first pedal so far the good stuff they say is on point. That being said I was disappointed with the battery set up. It takes a screwdriver, there is 4 screws the batteries are mounted under the bottom plate with small short thin wires going to the main unit
so it takes a few minutes to recommend getting a power cableCharles Turner

This actually had me in tears when I first used it. Funk 1, #69, gain all the way up, you are welcome. Hilarious. It has a great selection of preset tones and really adds a fun variety to your playing. Highly recommend especially at the price. It can’t be beat at the price point for what it offers.Jason

If you want to play different styles with the correct bass sound, be creative, or just have fun this pedal serves that purpose. Amazing amount of pedal simulators. Create your own sound and more. I bought this for old school Funk sounds and to create tones for original material. Cant go wrong for the price.dahug-71
Overall: I've had this pedal for a couple of years. I originally bought it for practice but I've been gradually replacing my pedalboard with it mostly because of three reasons:1. The compressor and limiter simulations are top notch. 2. The reverbs and delays are as good as any I've used before. 3. The Ampeg SVT simulation is something that I keep going to.As a bass player I only need very few effects and a good compressor. The rest of my sound comes mostly from the type of bass I use and my fingers. This pedal is perfect for all your effect needs. I'm surprised that more players don't use this pedal. Its cheap, easy to use and versatile.Sotero
I bought this a couple years ago. One of the best pedal/ effects purchases I've made. I have other much more expensive modeling systems/ multi effect units, and preamps. This is the only one I won't let go. It is simple, small, packed with options, and sounds good. I use it at home and I have used it live several times. It always goes with me in my case. For the price…. If you find at least two effects you like, then it has already met it's value. Simply put, what I bought to be used as a backup finds it's way to normal use often.
4. Tech 21 Sansamp 3-Channel Programmable Bass Driver Di – Bass Effects Pedals – Effects – Pbdr
Product Details:
Really solid preamp with three programmable channels. in good working order and fair aesthetic condition — i'd put it at 6/10 there. there are scratches on all sides of the casing, hook velcro on the back, and i removed the rear battery compartment door so that the pedal sits flat on a pedalboard. the #1 footswitch sticks occasionally, but it was nothing problematic for me during the two years i had it on the road. comes with the original box, though the box has definitely seen better days.

Reviews:
I was recommended this bass preamp almost 20 years ago. I've been through a TON of boutique equipment since then, trying to find 'my sound' and figured..what the heck, let me give this pedal a try. It makes EVERYTHING sound better! If you play on other peoples rigs from time to time, bring this!!! You'll be so much happier you did! You can find 'your sound' on almost any rig with this little guy. I'm a gear snob, I like 'my sound', which is clear, clean, and with a little bit of tube breakup while grinding in on my jazz. My sound is a cross between Flea and Marcus Miller. My boutique equipment gives me this on its own. When I'm forced to play a Behringer single 15" cab with no tweeter and no usable EQ because its the backline, the Sans Amp will be definitely utilized that night! Do yourself a favor and grab one of these pedals! Even if you keep it in you bag as a backup DI. It's like having a preamp and/or a DI at your disposal in case you needed to go straight to the house.DT
Bought this to see about going straight to p.a. And monitor. Initial impressions very good. Even with tone controls flat it seems to improve the sound compared to going straight into the desk. More depth and detail? Not sure if they’re the right words but they’ll have to do! It now sits at the end of the line on my tiny pedal board. Other pedals are boss tuner, boss bass chorus and ebs billy Sheehan pedal. Simples!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Here's why I love this thing. First, I prefer passive basses. Second, when gigging I need fast access to three basic tone signatures — a mid-boosted one for a balanced mix with the band, a bottom-heavy grindy one for heavy lifting, and a scooped one for funk and solos. Program those in, and good to go, with the option to tweak them a bit for conditions without permanently altering the setting. Third, after years of lugging heavy, bulky head units I now feed the Sansamp into a 1000W ultralite power amp and have all the headroom I need, without the pain. Fourth, whenever I meet a new sound man at gigs the first thing I hear is "Sweet, a Sansamp DI." Fifth, hand-built like a tank in NYC. I'm sure I can list more, but you get the idea. I've been using it for three years now and won't ever go back to onboard preamps, either on the bass or on the head unit.Casey Ess

Reviews:
Pretty much the best headphone amp for bass. The world of multi effects is moving so fast right now that if you just want a cheap multi effects unit, you’re better off paying the tiny amount extra for a valeton gp100 or similar. But for just practicing with headphones this is amazing, it’s small, light and portable. It runs off AA batteries, 9v or any USB charger/battery pack and outs to headphones or amp. Plug in headphones, a track from your laptop or whatever and jam. Forget all the terrible headphone amps like the amplugs or the overpriced ones like the fender micro and just use one of these instead. For practicing wherever whenever with a solid bunch of effects 5*. Overall review 4* just because purely as a multi effects pedal it is a bit outdated and underfeatured, but the portability means it still has a great place for practicing.jon m.
I enjoy B1X4 alot. I bought it to have the capabilities to access different sounds on my bass rig. But most importantly is the expression pedal. I use a wah pedal alot in my playing. It has a good stock clean wah sound and a good distortion wah sound. I dig that so much for the value. The best part of this unit is the ease of adjusting the levels and settings of each patch. This board gets 4 stars from me. It's great for studio work and practice but for stage work it's plastic, small and delicate body could get damaged easily. I'm a big guy with large feet and sometimes I would hit both pedals which brings up the tuner. I have since added a bass crybaby wah pedal, a pre-amp,fuzz,octave, compression pedal unit and a chorus pedal to my arsenal and still use the B1X4 together on my pedal board all together. It serves as a tuner and I use a few patches on it. It serves me so very well. The Zoom B1X Four is a great board with many, many uses and advantages for any bass player at all levels.1978circa3-9
Overall: This is a super cool effects unit for the price point. You can spend $100.00 or more on JUST a volume pedal or a looper or a rhythm unit separately. To have all of these plus the great sounds in this package is the true definition of bang for the buck. This is the best effects box for someone like me: A beginner in the world of stomp boxes who wants to explore the sounds of different amp & effect combinations.A BIG thanks to you all at zZounds. I ordered my Zoom pedal on a Friday & expected it to arrive on the following Wednesday. You gave me the means to track my order & it arrived a day early. I’ll be back to order more soon! Thanks again.Patrick

Specifications:

Reviews:
On the surface, the Boss ME-20B is more professional than the toy Zoom pedals I had, but what I personally find frustrating & problematic is that once fired up you have to enter another mode in order to take advantage of what's on offer. With Zoom, at least you're ready to go from the word go! That may seem as if it's a little whinge over a minor issue, but I believe that simplicity is the most efficient way for productivity; the less buttons/pedals activated – the less things can go wrong. Thought I'd find things easier on a Boss unit than the toy Zoom pedals I had – but at least they were more transparent..baronvonblues
For the price you really can't go wrong. I'm very happy with it. It's pretty easy to use as long as you have the manual. It looks cool and it feels durable. And most important, the effects sound great! I love the distortion, flange, chorus, wah, overdrive and delay. Octaver is top notch. Synth is pretty good and defretter is pretty good. Also, I'm extremely happy with the combination of the distortion and bass enhance. It keeps a nice low end without making it sound like an electric guitar.joeb1supreme
I use the wah with my Fender P Bass Special frequently. Adequate wahness. Probably there are more dramatic dedicated wah units but this one works for me. When I watch my guitarist plug together all the units on his pedal boards I think, Been there, done that. I like the convenience of all-in-one board. Leaves more time to chat w new people. This unit is a great size. Easily fits into my crowded gig bag. LED read-out is effective. Even in bright sunlight. More and more I'm learning to use the volume pedal as a special fx. Use the tuner every gig, of course. Like the chorus. So far I have not gotten effective settings for t-wah and others. But I'm super happy with the basics as described above. Am using a new, light-weight G-K MB210. The ME20b works well with it. Have had mine a few months – like it a lot – but have yet to fully explore the features. While time will tell, the first few months' appreciation is very positive. Switches and foot pedal work well. The case is sturdy. Don't feel like I have to baby it. Again, if it continues to perform, I will be very happy.trudeau11
7. Electro Harmonix Bass9 Bass Machine Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
Electro harmonix bass9 bass machine guitar pedal – turn your guitar into a bass with the electro harmonix bass9 bass machine guitar pedal – the polyphonic bass9 bass machine transforms a guitar into nine different basses and requires no special pickups, midi or instrument modifications. it relies on the same technology powering all ehx 9 series pedals, like the award winning mel9 tape replay machine, but features a new algorithm maximized for transposing one to two octaves down with superior dynamics and tracking. – a rotary switch allows the user to select the sound of their choice, as follows:precision: pays homage to the iconic fender p bass – longhorn: emulates the danelectro 6-string bass, ideal for baritone type tones – fretless: features both electric and standup fretless basses. synth: a tribute to the classic taurus synthesizer – virtual: lets the user adjust the bass’s body density and neck length for a variety of bass sounds – bowed: classic bowed bass split bass: makes it possible for the guitarist to play bass on the lower strings (all notes below f#3) and chords or melody with the higher strings.3:03: a polyphonic salute to the sought after roland tb-303 vintage bass synth – flip-flop: inspired by ehx’s octave multiplexer, it provides a '70s style logic driven sub-octave generator that tracks without glitches. – the pedal is equipped with independent effect and dry volume controls so guitarists can precisely tune their mix at the effects output jack, plus an always-active dry output jack that outputs the input signal at unity gain. controls 1 and 2 have been designed to adjust specific parameters for each of the nine programs. for example, in precision, ctrl 1 controls the sub-octaves while ctrl 2 imitates the original instrument’s tone control. the bass9 comes equipped with a standard ehx 9.6dc200m – a power supply. guitar pedals, chuck levin's washington music center, electro harmonix, electro harmonix bass9 bass machine guitar pedal

Put in about two hours of playtime on this, stored it for a few months safely right next ot all my other EHX pedals. All of them work perfectly, this one just doesn't. Musician's Friend won't replace it, and EHX is making me pay to ship it back to fix it. Which is absurd as it's basically new.Ian

Reviews:
I have to say that I have owned & giged with the BP50… I used it for mostly the Amp mods (which are pretty versital for such a little guy), the Tuner (not great for outdoor gigs), and that I could use an EXP pedal (although parameters are kinda limited, they are very cool). The 4 band EQ and the fretless effect are the only other effects that I thought we're worth the price. Lots of useless stuff, slim-if-no parameter settings on most functions, make it a bummer. But overall little work to figure out, and pretty easy to use. Sturdy case for Plastic, the buttons are a bit cheezy though (one look inside will tell all. key work here is plastic… booo. Since this review is about the BP80 not BP50, I have to tell you that there is little difference. Not like I expected too much, just maybe a little more versatility in parameters or something. Nope, pretty much a let down. The aforementioned stuff and the fact this has a built in expression pedal (this does have some pretty cool functions of its own varing from the BP50, does increase the cool quotient) make it a sightly better choice than the BP50. Both are awsome practice tools, with built in drum machine and good tuning (pitch) control make this pedal ideal for the practice room only. Not super gig-worthy. On a scale from 1 – 10 (10 being an Eventide) I would give that BP80 a 6.5…bigbassgonzo
I manage a band back here in Riyadh,Saudi Arabia. Digitech is a big name in effect pedals but unfortunately not available here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I bought this BP80 effect pedal as a present to my bass player and we both fell in love with it after he tried it, and for a used one like this, the price was just right. We're really happy to have it!!!mannie54
9. Line 6 Bass Floor Pod Multi-Effect And Amp Modeler
Product Details:
This is a line 6 bass floor pod. it is a multi-effects pedal for bass guitar. it is used, and is being sold on consignment. however, it has been tested and found to be in working order. it has a few scratches, but nothing in the performance is impeded. it comes with a power cable as well. available online or in-store!
Specifications:
Finish | Black |
Year | 2000s |
Pedal Format | Floor Unit |
Reviews:
This is a fine unit that has tremendous functionality and given some time and effort there is almost no tone that cannot be extracted from this unit. Unfortunately Line 6 goes out of their way to make it an unpleasant experience. Unless of course your willing to fork over more money for software that other companies would give you for free, or at least substantially less than Line 6 charges. You shouldn't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a unit followed by hundreds more for some software to get the most out of it. Line 6 is the worst, but the POD Pro XT is a good unit.recnepsterb
For a nine year old effects floorboard, this is a great value for someone (like me) who wants several effects without spending $100-200 per pedal. Line 6 is generous with this one, Ive only had it two weeks and theres still plenty of sonic discoveries to be had. Cant compare it to Line 6s new units, but this one looks cool, sounds even better. Couldnt care less that it happens to be all modeling, I can plug a bass in, then in the blink of an eye pick up the guitar without unplugging from the bass amp and still get a huge stellar amp tone for ultimate chunder. Get it, for $200-ish its a steal!aig-man
This is a pretty good bag. The quality is excellent and it looks/feels like it will last quite a while. I bought this for my Line 6 Pod hd500x and it works "ok" for it. The bag could be a bit more snug so the Pod does not flop back and forth when you carry it. Length wise there is extra room and a spacer which allows you to carry some extra cables or a power strip, but I am talking about the snugness on the top and bottom. I may try adding an extra foam pad to see if this helps. I know this bag was not specifically made for the Pod so I can't fault it too much for not fitting 100%. It is a great deal for the money!jkelly517

Reviews:
I purchased this one pedal to be all the pedals I don't want to buy as single units. I have an extensive pedal collection but I have grown tired of hauling around a pedal board filled with effect units I only use every now and then. I decided that a good way to remedy that would be to add a pedal that could function as simple delay, reverb, boost, and modulation. I have greatly reduced the amount of pedals on my board thanks to this unit. The weakness of the VOX Stomplab IG is in the distortion/overdrive/amp selection. I didn't find any that I found pleasing to my ears but I didn't expect to. I did find a few low gain overdrives that were acceptable but nothing I loved. I intended to keep my overdrive and distortion pedals my board anyway, so I wasn't worried about it. The compressor is solid, but a bit noisy. The delays and reverbs are quite good and I consider those alone, worth the price tag. my pedal board is now just a few choice pedals and the VOX stomplab IG serving as single and multi effect pedal. Overall I am very happy with it.Mesa Ari
I absolutely love this pedal. The modeling, especially, is quite wonderful. It's basically everything in the Vox VTS series (I think it's called) in one pedal. Only thing I wish is that distortion/overdrive was as easy to select and control (independently of everything else) as much as the delay is. But that could just mean I still have learning to do. This is a great pedal for home recording or shows that you want to avoid bringing a loud amp. You can plug this right into a PA, choose the amp model you want and it sounds just like you have an amp right there. For the money I think this is a great accessory for any working guitarist to own.
I am trying really hard to like this. With regards to the preset effects, some 9fnthe sound pretty good. But some of them, it's like they are non existent or pretty horrible sounding. The other issue is you are supposed to bypass the effects. But of you do, your volume reduces so significantly that I either have to turn up the volume on the amp, or disconnect this thing all together and connect directly to amp. The last issue is that creating your own defects is pretty hard to understand. The instructions are not very helpful and it is pretty hard to understand the abbreviations used on the box to figure out what effect you are working with. Oh btw, you have to hold the power button down for a couple of second for it to turn on. If you don't it will seem it is not working. So, this thing is not horrible, but the verdict is out as to whether it is something that will end up collecting dust in a cornerJohn, G

First of all let me say I also have the G1ON and bought the G1X Four for the enhanced features and so I'd have one with the expression pedal. I sold all my tube amps when I was laid off, retired and moved to Mexico. My reference point is tweed and blackface era tube amps. I gotta say, once you learn how to dial in the tones you want, these little plastic boxes do a pretty decent job of amp and effects modeling. Like the G1ON, the G1X 4 does a good job of imitating the touch and volume control dynamics of a cranked tube amp at any volume. I really like the Deluxe Reverb, AC30 and DC30 simulations. The G1ON has more vintage style amp types to choose from, and in that regard it is more useful to e. Two kinds of spring reverb, one eats up a lot of memory but really sounds lush like an external unit along with the other types (room, plate, hall, church, etc.). Tremolo is built into the Fender models that have tremolo along with a couple of very configurable trems and rotating speaker effects. The G1 4 does NOT have the Z Organ effect the G1ON does, boo hoo. Beyond that, there are tons of effects to play with and they all sound good to my ears. I currently have 3 small amp setups. 1. Quilter 101 mini docked in their 10" BlockDock cab. 2. Quilter MicroBlock 45 pedal teamed with a 5E3 pine cab with a Emi Legend 12" and 3. an old Carvin SX50 1×12". I can get all three do to do the Deluxe Reverb,Vox AC15/30, E and F series Tweed tones that don't make me miss my tube amps. Wish I would have had the G1ON and the 17.7lb Quilter 1×10" combo back when I was in a blues band and gigging. Interface improvements from the G1ON… Improved display allows for more descriptive/longer patch names. Four pots act as master vol, bass, middle, treble during performance mode for global tone and volume tweeking. The four pots also make adjusting settings easier. To sum up, very cool pedal for under a hundred..Tomcat
For several years now, my pedalboard has had only ONE guitar "FX" pedal. First it was the G1Xon. Now it's the G1Xfour. I play both acoustic AND electric thru the pedal, and they BOTH sound great! Though I've played for over 40 years, I'm not a professional musician and rarely play out; but I do play a lot at home and IMO this is the best VALUE "name brand" guitar multi-FX pedal on the market. It's super affordable, very easy to use, sounds terrific, and is a total blast to play. In fact, this is the FIRST of TWO guitar pedals I recommend for every novice guitarist. Checkout my video links below for a quick start on G1Xfour pedal, and why it's one of the two first pedals I recommend. The Image Doctor
I can't speak to it's use in a live setting , that's not what I bought this for but to have at home to record whether bedroom music or demos it's perfect. The effects are great they're easy to use, the older Zoom models were a bit laborious to set up and get sounding right but this has enough knobs to feel like you are just setting up any stand alone pedal. The distortions, the delays, reverbs etc are all good but it's the amp modelling and the EQ options that make it a great little tool to work with. No amp or no room for one in your apartment where your neighbours will pound the walls if you so much as sneeze too loud? No problem !!! this little guy's got you covered. A little tinkering and your demos sound better, a little more and you can get a reasonably good sound for home recordings. The looper is great, its easy to use. The tuner is good. What's not to love ? Plug this into your computer or your four-track or whatever recording devise you've got on with the earphones and you have a decent sounding pedal board and amp which takes up as much space as a box of chocolates. No one will be any the wiser. I'm sure I sound like an absolute shill for Zoom. I don't care I have a bunch of their gear and I love it all. Is it built to survive the apocalypse? No. Most of the stuff I own is plastic. Is it as warm and distinctive as Electro-harmonix or Boss ? No, but it's cheap and it's solid and it works. Is it going to sound perfect through your huge amp? I don't know but it's probably not the point. Me – I make music at home with cheap gear because I have no money or space. Zoom are a gift to home recorders everywhere. And thanks to everyone at DV247 as well. Very helpful during a difficult time to get products shipped efficiently.

Reviews:
Delivers six different ways to color tone in a single box, for a rock-bottom price. You can use one at at time, which is really no drawback– just buy another one of these if you want to chain them. Experienced pedal users may have effects that are superior. But I'm a low-rent guy in a high-stress world, with no prior experience in pedals or tone shaping, and for me this is a gem. Instant therapy. A lot of fun, finding sounds that I've heard on songs and always wondered how people made them. I don't find it to be very noisy at the volumes employed in my apartment (duh), and a noise gate in my chain makes it virtually silent. The build quality is not an issue for me, at least so far. I won't be abusing it, and for the price, if I somehow manage to break the case… it's not a tragedy. It's a cool box for people like me who want inexpensive access to the world of effects. I think it would satisfy more critical users as well.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
You get what you pay for. This pedal is fun to experiment with. Some effects are really good, others are not. The Flanger needs a high-cut filter. The Phaser is kinda weak and it sucks your tone. The chorus is really good. The delay would be really good, but it won't go slow enough for me. So I don't see myself using it. I don't like the Tremolo effect, but it seems to work fine in this pedal. The Pitch Shifter was my favorite effect in this pedal. It is sensitive to adjustments, but once I had it carefully dialed-in, it sounded great. The Level knob works great. It seems to blend the original signal with the selected effect nicely, without dropping the volume or sucking your tone. I use this pedal in the effects-loop of my amp head. The two parameter knobs seem to have a pretty big range. They go from subtle, to really wild. It takes some time to carefully adjust them to get the sound you are looking for. The knobs feel stiff when you turn them, which is nice. They will stay where you set them. Construction is plastic, so this pedal is not too durable, but it will be fine for home use. Overall, this pedal is great for the price. It has plenty of use-able sounds in it, but some of the effects are not perfect. This pedal would be great for new players, because it allows them to experiment with different effects to see what they like, and it doesn't cost much. I use a 1-spot power adapter with it, which works great.
This is a very good unit for it's price. I purchased it for my "little" amp when I go to friends place's to jam. My "big" amp has the same effects in it & are better. However, it does do the job I purchased it for. It is well made in China under German supervision. The Germans don't do rubbish products & that's what made me check it out. I'm not complaining about it at all, this is one of those "horses for courses" items. I have another pedal that does what this one does & more but it cost three times what this did. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants those effects but doesn't want to pay close to $200. My last remark is "you can't beat it for the price"Roger R.

Reviews:
The Mosaic pedal is easy to use, and produces a realistic 12 string effect. It comes with it's own power supply, and I recommend using it as it seems to use quite a lot of energy to produce the effect. When I first connected it in my chain, powered by the wimpy Snark power supply, it didn't really work. The light came on when I pressed the on/off button, but the effect wasn't happening. Then I used the power supply that came with it. Suddenly, out came the shimmering sound of an electric 12 string. In short, it might not sound like a Rickenbacker, but its close enough, and much less expensive. If you want the sound of a 12 string, but don't want to spend the money, this may be the perfect substitute.jonaha650
Overall: Ive been using my Roland Gr-55 (w/ GK-3) to add 12 string shimmer to my sound for years. This little box is amazing! Tracking is impeccable, and the controls are so simple I was up and running within seconds! The metal box is sturdily built, and COMES with a muscular 9v, 1.3amp power supply(?!?!) Switching is silent, and the effect tracks tonal changes between pickups well enough that once dialed in, I dont need to touch the tone knob. If I get insanely picky, I kinda wish there was a separate out for the 12string sound, but that would negatively affect the affordable price and kind of defeat the 1 pedal= 2 instrument simplicity. If you never ever wished you had a 12 string, but it antway! You'll see what you've been missingDennis
I have both a 6 string and 12 string Rickenbacker. I don't normally like to take my 12 string gigging because I've got enough other gear to haul around and the 12 string is only used on a few songs. Plus all the associated issues with tuning, string replacement, swapping guitars, etc. The Mosaic does a pretty credible job of making my six string sound like a 12 string. It does not produce a perfect reproduction, but I find it good enough that I'm using it regularly. Considering the technology needed to generate the 12 string sound from a six string instrument, I'm actually very impressed that it does a good a job as it does. And the fact that it is polyphonic is icing on the cake. I've used electronic harmonizers to try and duplicate a 12 string sound, but they always failed in two areas. You could not play chords and the high B and E strings sounded just awful because the harmonizer would try and play notes an octave above on those strings as well (usually rendering this approach useless).. I found that the Mosaic gives a pretty credible 12 string reproduction on the E, A, D, and G strings. Fortunately the upper B and E strings do not get the octave treatment. They remain with the original pitch, but they don't quite have the full tonal resonance of a true 12 string. It isn't bad, just not quite perfect. All in all, I feel its a good product, does a good enough job and I'm happy with the 12 string emulation. I think its a credible option to consider if you need a 12 string sound, but can't justify the cost and issues of owning a true 12 string.bgb92549
14. Valeton Dapper Bass Effects Strip
Product Details:
Very convenient pedal that takes up very little space but does a whole lot. it has a quality preamp and di, so you can go straight to the board and leave the amp at home if you wish. you also get some key effects: chorus, octaver, fuzz/synth, boost, and tuner. for a lot of bass players, this maybe all they need. i bought it because i wanted a small set up for my gigs that i wasn't going to need a lot of effects for or need to drastically change my tone from song to song. it served its purpose well until i bought my helix. once i got that, i just had to bring it to all my gigs. so i haven't been using this pedal anymore and probably won't anytime soon, thus why i'm listing it. it still works great but does have a bit of cosmetic wear on it (as shown in the pics).

This is a great multi effects pedal/DI. Its all I need. Dont let its small size fool you. Its got some weight to it, so I assume its probably well built. All metal. Each effects sections knobs light up a different color. Tuner is accurate. I didnt give a full 5 stars because I wouldve liked a rate knob in the chorus section & maybe some more options in the compressor section. Overall, I recommend this pedal. Pleasantly surprised with the build & sound quality. I doubt Ill use the Dirty Q (envelope filter) much but its there if I need it. Spend a little time with each section of this pedal & Im sure you will find at least one setting youll like!fuelman1975

The g system sounds better than any multi effects unit that I've ever used. The notes just seem to ring with more clarity than I can remember hearing in other units and the tone is great. Practically zero noise when used with good cables. The build is incredible ; it's heavy and feels solid. i have it plugged into a Marshall dlc40 and it sounds incredible. Thank you TC Electronics and Sam Ash!Vf5fan
Had one of these in 2006 and used it with a Bogner Ecstasy head. In 2011 went over to amp modeling rigs so I sold off my G-System. Late 2018 I went back to a tube amp (Mesa TC-50). Used an old midi control pedal I had along with my ancient G-Major effects. Decided to upgrade the rig and go back to the G-System. This new G-System is a 3rd Generation unit with superior input buffering. I couldn't be happier with my tone and the quality of the effects as well as the ease of use in channel switching and preset set-up. Turned my great rig into an awesome rig!
This is an awesome multi-effects & rig management Tool. Top TC effects, complete integration and optimization of your gear and total control over your effects and sound. Built like a tank out of steel and aluminum and used by professional musicians all over the world. It is perfectly suited for both live and studio work and it is inspiring to use. The G-System integrates perfectly with an existing setup and provides the perfect backbone to a guitar rig. Always heard a lot about the Holy Grail and the Soul Food pedals, and wondered what the fuss was all about. Found out.I have a half dozen od pedals ( Ts-808, BD,DOD) and they all have there place on the board, but this one has a different growl than the others. Not as brittle as the BD, yet not as smooth as the TS. Not overpowering, just the "right " amount. Needed a reverb pedal too.The Defender amp I use has Dark Vader spring reverb, but not on a foot switch. There is a switch that let's you choose between spring, hall, and plate reverbs, as well as a reverse reverb. The first three sound very good. Can't really find a use for the reverse though. Maybe it sounds different to me mites in Austrrrralia , since everything is supposed to be backwards down under. If I was stranded on a desert island and could only take one pedal, this would be it. Remember, life is too short NOT to have good tone!Gerald

Reviews:
A good unit that is extremely versatile. Plenty of options and some really good effects. I was mainly interested in chorus and a couple of effects so the range offered is a bonus. A couple of issues that are a little annoying but don't really detract: Can't swap between banks using a pedal. It is necessary to bend down or pick it up to make that change. You can set up and move effects so that should help. Pedal is sensitive and has a tendency to move. Can be altered. It would be good if you could bypass the pedal. As a bass player I don't usually worry about increasing or decreasing volume – that is done with the fingers or with the pots Nothing in the manual about bypassing effects. I had to find it through the net. It is very simple- just hold down both pedals (tuning mode). I am very happy with it though and would recommend it. Especially to people who want a great selection of effects without the expense of multiple pedals, even if dedicated pedals might give a slightly more nuanced soundDr N.

Best price in town on a great little piece of equipment. Honestly, it's amazing what tech is doing these days. This unit is fully staged worthy and has nearly everything anyone could want. There is a learning curve to the unit but it isn't too bad. It isn't perfect out of the box but can be tweaked to preference. Many of the presets are great and as good launch point for sounds you are looking for. As for delivery, my unit came very fast. I think i waited 4 days for my order (which was 5 days earlier than initially estimated).Jeffrey
The GP-200 is a very flexible multi-effects/modeler whose price may suggest something of lower quality, but it's actually a great-sounding and fun unit. I play acoustic and electric guitar with an Acoustasonic Telecaster, and the GP-200 works great for both sounds. You get what's probably hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of amps, effects, and cabinets for a fraction of the cost. The factory presets probably aren't for most people, but the fun is in creating your own anyway. I definitely recommend using the PC/Mac software for this, as it's a little easier on the eyes and a bit more intuitive as far as the interface goes, but working with the unit itself just takes a little time and experimenting to get used to as the documentation isn't as detailed as it could be for the depth of options available. The acoustic guitar IRs are helpful for buffing up a standard piezo pickup; they won't fill anyone into thinking that your $200 guitar is a vintage Martin or whatnot, but they do bring a bit more depth to the sound. I find them a bit brittle-sounding, but perhaps with more EQ tweaking I could minimize that. I highly recommend this unit for people who want a good, flexible modeling solution without paying thousands. I haven't had the opportunity to play with big-name modelers, but this will definitely do the trick for most.Josh
