Reviews:
Overall a decent cable, I like the bold colours of these Fender cables and the overall build quality is decent for a home studio, practicing or light gigging. Although if you were to go on the road with them and use them exclusively from your guitar to your rig you'd have to be cautious as I can see them getting damaged over time compared to some of the thicker, robust cables out there.Danny C.
The cable I originally got with my guitar was not up to scratch, it was very thin & flimsy & soon came apart at the jack end. My new cable is much thicker, flexible & robust! The fittings are very good & I am super pleased with my purchase. Well worth the top rating I award it!hstr6477

Reviews:
I require a durable cable and I am a fan of lifetime warranty. I have had good luck with instrument specific cables in the past and wanted to try the VOX offering. No noticeable tonal coloring, seems to accentuate bass attack and sustain. It's a little stiff, and slightly heavy. I am still putting it thru its paces, but it seems to be pro grade and capable.Greg
The cable has very good sound quality, it brings out a very warm and full tone. It wraps easily, and can be stored conveniantly in a bag which comes as an accessory with it. However the right angle plug is extremely heavy, and very difficult to use if you have a damaged input jack. Overall a great buy for someone who has the proper equipment to fully utilize this product, or for anyone who enjoys a full bass sound.bassist42
when I bought my bass I didn't realize I had to buy accessories made only for a bass. So I bought this VOX bass cable and I really like it , the 90 in the guitar and the straight into the amp or effects pedal with 20 feet in between gives you lots of room to move. Pricey but worth it.Mark

Reviews:
All my life I've been the King of Cheap cables. I figured they're all basically the same so why pay more for a high priced name brand. For the price of a "quality cable I could score three econo cables! What's the difference, really? Well, anymore, Econo cables don't make it past a few months of winding, unwinding, stuffing and stepping on. Not to mention that without a noise gate I realized I was spewing alot (ALOT) of microphonic buzzing and humming into my signal. I decided that I would finally invest in good cables and once I received them, upon closer inspection, instead of cheap, (already) frayed, unshielded (degenerated copper) wire, I found the entire heavy duty assembly dipped and permanently sealed in plastic!! Wow! just like pickups!! Maybe that's also why these cables are silent as a church mouse, while my econo cables make my rig sound like frying burgers when the lighting rig gets turned on! Add to that a LIFETIME warranty from Monster and it's a win/win situation! The King (of Cheap Cables) is Dead. Long live the (Monster) King!ssolo8
I was really hesitant to spend so much on a cable but OH MY GOODNESS. It sounds like I got a new guitar. I have a line 6 amp. Small Clone Boss Metal Distortion and a digital delay pedal. I have only tried it with my Ibanez which I got on sale at a pawn shop for forty . I still have lower quality patch cables as well as the cable that runs from my last pedal to my amp. The only cable I changed was the one going from my guitar into my amp. Before my tone was horrible. Was thinking about getting a new guitar just for that. I wasn't expecting such a drastic improvement. I don't know how much better tone would me for a medium range priced cable like fender, but the ones I had were the cheapest I could get. I was pretty broke at the time. I've only had it for a few days so I can affirm their longevity. If these cables do indeed last years. I would say these are cheaper in the long run. The cables I usually get only last less than a year and at around 10-12 . If this one last 3 years. It would be less money with superior sound quality. I'm so happy I bought this cable. Only high end cables for me for now on!Raphael

This is a reliable and excellent guitar cable. I recently started guitar lessons using my daughter's twenty year old guitar and amplifier and the sound was static and not right. After buying the Fender cable, the sound problems were resolved. I also recently purchased my own guitar and amplifier, so I purchased a second Fender cable. I am very satisfied with the performance outcome, and highly recommend.George H.

The RCA connector itself the metal part that goes in the center the positive connection if you break it off and look inside it’s metal surrounded by plastic. Another words if you look at your RCA connection end, If you broke off the very tip inside is plastic. mine broke immediately. I am an electronics expert telecommunication manager from the Olympics network engineer for the largest company in the world and travel agency corporate ceo. I am work for a AT&T shell Ashton oil and I can tell you these RCA cables I swear are worth $.15 I’m so sorry but they are the worst I’ve ever seenDanO
These are fine to use as an inexpensive option. But if you value better bass response from a good sounding subwoofer, consider upgraded cables. These are very "boomy" and will knock your socks off if you want loud bass. For my ears, they produced foggy bass on both music and movies. Bass, in my opinion, should blend in with the higher frequencies and not call attention to itself. You notice it, but not let it overwhelm you (unless you like that). I spent a little bit more and got AudioQuest – Irish Red and the sound was improved greatly. Much smoother than these.Moviebluedog

I bought this cable around 6 months ago along with my Boss Katana amp. I was new to cables at the time because I learned most of my playing on an acoustic (which don't mean I'm a beginner which most people tend to believe about acoustic players) and I dindn't know which one to buy, so I asked an experienced player what he used and he recommended me to the livewire cables. At first I was kind of worried that they weren't good because of the cheaper price compared to what I had seen but bought one anyways. First I plugged in the cable set up my gear and played a couple licks and was very impressed. I used it for a week or two and tried a different cable. I plugged in the new cable and was very astounded to hear how awful it sounded. I tried another one (Monster Cable) and it sounded way better but still not as good as the livewire. I was very disapointed and went back to my livewire and then I truly knew how good the cable actually was. I've used that cable ever since and I now buy them and have recommended them to my friends, family, and other players and wouldn't trade them for another.Logan
Make sure to either own one or two high quality cables, or have a backup as well as a backup for your backup and so on. I purchased one of the 25ft. angled-straight cables about 5 years ago and have had to have it replaced every 6 months to 1 year. I don't abuse my cables in fact I go out of my way to make sure they are treated as well as my guitar. Simply put they are assembled poorly. One end always seems to go bad. I do return them and have them replaced because why not take advantage of the warranty. However I have wised up and purchase quality cables now. I would never take one of these to a gig. I gave it 2 stars. 1 for the fact that it does make a connection and relay sound to my amp and the 2nd star because the warranty results in a "no questions asked" replacement. Even the employee who helped me during my first return/replacement suggested I spend more and purchase a higher quality cable.Johnny Carcinogen
Bought this cable with starter guitar and amp for 9 year old son. This cable lasted 3 months. Was thinking i could fix it, I have fixed many cables before. After inspecting this one, it's not worth mending. Poor quality, very flimsy. Going in the trash. Was noticing a slight static noise on my sons rig, thought maybe it was the cheap amp or the power supply. Got a different cable and noise is gone. There are better cables for the price or spend a little more for much better cables.Pete

Specifications:
Choose Length | 30 Ft |
Reviews:
I doubt anyone can hear the difference between a Mogami Platinum and a much cheaper cable – I certainly can't – but that's not what makes them great. Components & build quality make these cables the best and long-lasting I've ever had. If they weren't so $$$ I'd buy one for every instrument.Allan
Excellent cable, a definite step up from the gold series. It says right on the box, Warning this cable has more dynamic range than any other cable available! Gain and tone controls may need to be lowered, or adjusted accordingly. I couldn't have said it better myself. These are the best cables I've ever tried, listened to, or owned. Hands down, the most neutral and dynamic. I think that says it all.
Amazing cable ! I gravitate to simple PTP handwired amps without tone stacks. My favorites include an old setup of an Eric Johnson strat – George L into a 5F1 champ; currently have a Dr Z. Mini Z combo (Celestion Gold) and a historic Les Paul Jr that has a Wolfetone Meaner and Pigtail tailpiece all wired 50s style. These two setups reveal not only the guitar but the nuances of a cable and various NOS tubes as well. I've played through George Ls, Lava Ultramafic, ELC, Klotz, Rapco, Mogami Gold and Spectraflex; I hear the differences in all. I was hesitant to get this and am glad I did. My RCA preamp tube really shines now. It's a cable so there aren't any power boosts or EQ jumps going but it is very revealing. Some low capacitance cables sound thin – this somehow has the clarity AND the depth; it's just better and also flexible which I didn't think it would be given its diameter. Best cable I've ever used by a mile – period.PScot
10. Musician's Gear 20-Foot 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable 20 Ft.
Product Details:
Specifications:
Cable/Cord Length | 10 feet |
Connection Gender | Male-To-Male |
Reviews:
I have purchased several, more than two multi-packs (4) cables at a time. They are ok for a musician on a budget, maybe. If you can solder, even these are not good because of a sealed flex plug at the opening of the jack. I now use only the cable section with aftermarket jacks I soldered myself. I have purchased enough of these to know I wont purchase anymore, yet I have a nice collection of home made cables using the original cables from these units, In short, the jacks are not good.David
I would bet you're thinking the same thing I did: "Seven bucks for a twenty foot cable? Awesome!"Learn from the mistakes of others by passing this by.I bought this cable because my current cable is only 15 feet long, and I didn't want to shell out big bucks for some 'studio' cable. Besides, how do you screw up a cable? Buy this, and you will find out.Sure, it will pass a signal, but the tips will quickly wear. You know how your cable gets when it is almost dead? How you have to jiggle it around to make sound, usually caused by a long period of wear and tear? Well this cable didn't want to wait and only gave me about a month. This is with proper winding and storage! The WORST part of this cable is the NOISE. You CANNOT move if you are using this cable. When you slap this baby on the floor, the crap noise that comes from your amp is louder than the signal it passes. This is the reason I stopped using it. If you jump, bob, duck, thrash, walk, run, or even tap your toe while you play guitar, this cable will move and you will hear everything that is going on inside of it.UNACCEPTABLE NOISE!!She's_Got_The..
I've used these for about 10 years & they are really used! I've never had a problem with any of them & often gave any extra I had to fellow musicians. I still have 3 of them that are at least 7 years old & they're fine. I'm ordering another soon just for another spare. I don't see how a musician could go wrong at the price & quality.picker49

I've used Monster bass cables for years and years. I know some musicians don't hear a difference, but I do. I've a/b'd with other cables and for me I hear more depth of tone and meat to my sound. It may be because they might have a higher capacitance than some others? I don't know, but they work for me and are built very solid.GT

I was getting a lot of noise from my tube amp when trying to mic it up to record. Thought it was from my gain pedals / pedal board power supply. But this cord cleaned up 95% of the noise I was hearing — turns out my old instrument cable that was "noise free" may have just been overused to the point that it was break down or something. Guy's, caught these on the SDOTD and glad I did, I just bought a top of the line Monster Cable, and the thing hummed so bad I couldn't get it unplugged quick enough!! Saw these the same day I sent that MC back, ordered them, and love them!! They just feel like good quality cable, and not a bit of hum or extra white noise!! Boss has been killing it lately, and this is no different!!!Odd Jobb
This is a well put together cable, I bought the straight thru one end, right angle on the other. It does not introduce any extraneous noises or hums at all, and fits the connectors on the instrument and amp nicely. With reasonable care, this should last. It lays flat, doesn't have much in the way of "memory" when unrolled from coiled up in storage, and is well behaved when you want to coil it back up.Loren

I only needed a 5' cable to carry one channel of a stereo signal to one of two amps that I have set up and this Roland Black Series appears to be very solid and heavy duty. It delivers a clean, static-free signal and my guess is that it will last a long time. Next time I need a cable I'll definitely check out another one of these Roland Blacks.Mr Rock and Roll

I dont even know why I still waste my time and my money buying cables that are not Fender. I bought this after my £7 cable from Amazon had completely died after only 4 weeks, and its like night and day. The colourful pattern and the robust build is like no other. Go for it you won’t regretFabio S.

Reviews:
I hate to say it but these aren’t quite the same as the old monster cables that came in the plastic blister pack. In comparison the cable is a little less flexible/soft feeling, if that makes sense. No issues at all with the cable so far, it’s just a perception thing from having an older version to compare to side-by-side. Still a good cable but I feel like Mogami gold may be a better value at this price point now.G
I've played Monster cables my whole career and they're top notch all the way. I've never had a single issue with any of them and I've owned a lot and for years. The stand out features of course is the construction, durability and quality. Yes, the negative is the price point, but you get what you pay for, a cable that won't fail you.Jason B.
