Bass And Guitar Amp Combined For Sale (2024 Update)

I picked this up for my son so he could practice around the house. Killer stocking stuffer! When the son is away the dad will now play. I started playing my Mustang Bass through this and it did the job. It's a small amp, not a practice amp. This is perfect for camping trips, rocking at the office or kicking it in the backyard. Oh yeah and you can plug in 1/4 headphones and keep the concert to yourself. It runs on a 9-volt battery or you can plug in a 9-volt adapter.SERGIO

Took a chance on this and purchased it without every playing it. Watched video reviews on it and gave it a shot. Yes, I know that it's small in size, smaller than a kids lunchbox but I hoped it'd produce quality sound and what I got was muddy sounds at increased volumes. It's not clear sounding and my goal to play through an amp is to sound good and I felt if I actually played this in front of people, the muddyness would make me sound amateurish. So, for what you pay for this, yes, you get amplified but it's not real great quality, unless you're a metal player because you don't get a clean sound from this. I rate this 3 stars because it's convenient to have a portable battery operated tiny amp that you can plug into and get sound from, however, the quality almost makes you not even want to play it.Jesse

This ain't no micro cube or vox. This less than 20$ & runs on 1 9v battery or 9v plug in the wall.(transformer not included)& Holy Friggin' Smokes does this baby perform.Monster overdrive tone & super bright, clean tone.Headphone input.Probably exceeds 60 decibels,which is beyond city ords. could get U a fine it's so damn loud. My Strat Squire sounds soooo Fender good out of this lil sucka & my electric/acoustic, sooo crisp.Ultra light to carry around.I've been using the JOYO mini,I love it,plug in,no chord,fun but this Fender mini is a bit more.More tone options and louder.I've yet to find out how quick it eats batteries. The JOYO burns them up fast.Get the rechargeables.Also the JOYO has an MP3 input.This doesn't. I run guitar strap thru the handle so the chord is like non-existent or U can old school it and have a 10 or 20 ft chord.So light it can be pulled over by the chord.These mini amps also pick up radio signals. When I turn them on I can hear radio stations at certain angles. So get 1 for the road.It's all about the fun.annoyingted1

I have played both electric and upright bass for 40+ years and like a lot of folks wanted a smaller, more portable, amp. I primarily play in a 4 piece acoustic group w/ 2 guitars, upright Bass, and violin. Volume is never an issue. I picked up a Max208 2 years ago and it has become my primary live amp. It sounds fantastic with either my MIJ fretless Precision A/E or any of my uprights. I have several larger rigs that sit in a closet as well as 2 Phil Jones amps (a Suitcase and a Briefcase) and I love the fact that the Peavey is: 1) Inexpensive, certainly for the level of performance. 2) Light and portable 3) Very flexible as far as tone control 4) Much better sounding live than the Phil Jones Briefcase which cannot match the low end of the 208. I did one mod to mine and added a Speakon / 1/4" combo jack to allow plugging in a small external speaker cabinet with it's own passive volume control that I locate behind the violin player who is on the opposite side of the stage from m and it works great for acoustic gigs giving a broad balanced stage sound. We only use (1) Bose L1 that all mics and guitars go through and it gives me an extremely portable system that has never let me down. I have a BSX Allegro EUB as well as a 53 Kay and an 80's Engelhardt. When I take the little Allegro and the 208 it is one trip from the car to the stage and ready to go. You can't beat it. If this ever gets lost, stolen, etc I will for sure get another. Peavey has a winner with this piece. I would highly recommend this to anyone (except someone looking to play loud rock) looking for a great inexpensive combo. If you want loud with it the 208 DI is very clean and it makes a fantasic stage monitor with the front angled speaker configuration.Steve

Great sound created by Peavey, in all ranges. Good deep sound with rich high and perfect adjustable tones. Light to carry to gigs and perfomence with enough power to fill the stage and halls. Happy with the Amp.micsne11

The sound to weight ratio on this amp is impressive. I bought it to replace/downsize an early 2000s Peavey TKO 115, and the 208 puts out more volume and weighs less than half as much as the 115! Simple controls, and enough options for a variety of genres. You get mild overdrive, vintage or modern voicing (via contour), sub-octave harmonics (via kosmos-c), and plenty of eq options. I'd recommend a cover (nearly any 12" loudspeaker cover will fit), because the finish is not as durable as previous models. I'm using this for small venues (no drummer) and medium venues with full band and PA.Trick

Where do I start? Well, how about, this is the best tube amp I have ever played! 62 years with many guitars and many amps, some owned, some borrowed, and some tested in music shops, might give me a little credibility. I have loved a Fender Twin Reverb, made in the 50s that my uncle Keith, and my guitar mentor, loaned me for a while. It just sounded so good. Never could seem to find cash, or justification to buy a tube amp, but have owned a hal a dozen solid states. THEN THIS LITTLE BEAUTY! Having played the Twin for a couple of years, and others such as a Mesa Boogie, VOX's, and too many others to recall, THIS monster sounds like most of them with just little tweaks of the knobs and my guitar switches. I have played country, 60s and 70s rock, blues, finger-style instrumentals, gospel, etc. I believe this is the PERFECT combo, with the correct (JJ) tubes, a sweet (and dirty when desired) Seventy/80 speaker, and an amazing diversity of sounds, which works in every genre I play! I do not know how anyone can find reason to bad mouth this. I had it for 2 weeks, was asked to fill an absent, guitarist's spot at an outdoor venue, I took this little amp. We played to an area the size of a football field. I set the amp on 1 Watt, until I could hear it cleanly (behind me on stage), let the sound man mic and mix me in. Never had to turn it above about 4, with gain between 1 and 4, and many complemented me on my sound, and musicians asked me WHAT IS THAT LITTLE AMP? Those are the good points. I can only think of two piddly things I would like to see changed, and one would be a standby switch, and the second being a way to run the external speaker WITHOUT cutting off the amp speaker. Until then, I will just keep playing this sweetheart amp, and enjoy the statements about "my sound," and the question of WHAT IS THAT LITTLE AMP? Keep playing everybody…and maybe buy one of these. These amps are fantastic, and at these bargain prices you simply can't go wrong. I upgraded the reverb tank in mine to a Mod and changed the speaker for a Warehouse GC12. OMG, this thing is a beast! Another WGS option I've seen people use is the ET65 for a more British tone, also with good results. The stock speaker is not too bad, but this one simple upgrade of swapping the speaker takes the amp to the next level. It just sounds awesome. The upgraded reverb tank is also an improvement, but not as much as I thought it would be. If I had to do it over again I would just take out the stock tank and use a pedal for reverb and make the amp even lighter to haul around. The more important upgrade imo is the speaker. It really makes a world of difference. Grab one reasonably while you still can, the price keeps creeping up and up and up… !Jeff

After a number of FEDEX issues, I received my amp about 5 days later than estimated. It did arrive in excellent condition and was worth the wait. The Stage Right 611815 has a really sweet tone that sounds particularly good with the single coil pickups on my Fender Sratocaster Player. It breaks up nicely! The reverb works perfectly, and is fine for most playing but you might want an external reverb unit if you are playing Dick Dale tunes. A really nice feature for home playing is the 15W/1W switch, where you can limit the amp to 1 W (be aware that with sound, you have to increase the wattage by 10 times to double the perceived volume, so the 1W setting is a lot more than 1/15th as loud as the 15W setting). It is a bit unusual to have a tone control along with the more common bass, middle and treble controls. Personally, I would have labeled the Tone control as Presence, because that is what it seems to be. I have mostly been playing in the 1W mode with all the controls (including reverb) at 12 o clock, and that is working out great. As far as construction, the amp looks fantastic and gives a vintage look that hints at its tone! The dark grill cloth provides a nice contrast with the blonde tolex, giving a true vintage appearance. The retro red, jeweled pilot light and metal toggle switch complement the vintage styling Keeping with the vintage look, the control panel is chrome with retro chicken head knobs. As others have mentioned, the control names are a little bit difficult to read on the chrome panel. After you use the controls once, you know where they are, so does it really matter (I noticed the blonde version of the Fender Blues Jr also uses a chrome control panel…probably where Monoprice got the idea)? The tolex is neatly installed and glued, at least the parts that are exposed. The leather handle is also reminiscent of old school amps. And I really like the metal corner protectors…very nice. As proudly announced by a badge on the front panel, the amp is equipped with a Celestion speaker…a Seventy 80 The only criticism of the construction, and it is minor, is that the 8 external screws are not chamfered properly to mesh with the finishing washers, which result in the screw heads protruding above the washers. The amp has a jack for an external speaker. When you plug in an external speaker, the internal speaker is shut off, as is common with guitar amps. The reason is if you plug in an external 8 ohm speaker and the internal speaker would still be on, a (combined) 4 ohm load would be presented to the amplifier, which it is not designed to handle. The back is open. The line cord is not detachable, but can be conveniently stowed in the back of the amp. The amp has an effects loop, which I have not tried yet. The amp is now equipped with JJ brand tubes and a metal, two spring, reverb tank, which are upgrades from the original issue I wish I could find a nice, economical (i.e. $20) dust cover for the amp. The only ones I can find are priced at $50 or more, a bit much for protecting an inexpensive amp. In conclusion, the Stage Right 611815 amp looks great and sounds great, and I highly recommend it.Chris

I was really surprised at how good this amp sounds. Years ago I tried Line 6 and was not at all happy with the tone; but this is another story. It does take me awhile to dial in a specific classic rock tone, but when I do, it sounds better than any other amp that I've tried. I have tried the Marshall Code, Blackstar id Core, Vox Valvetronix, Boss Katana; as well as some all tube amps. The only other amp that is a close 2nd is the Fender Mustang GTX; also a great amp. The Spider V is fairly easy to operate. It offers lots of choices for amp models and cabinets. I like that it has variations of a mic'd cabinet. The parametric eq is a plus. I haven't played around too much with the effects yet, so I can't comment on that. The only negative thing I could say is that when you're editing a preset and want to hear how it sounds before you save it, you only have a short time before it goes back to the Home Screen. This really is a small price to pay for the quality of the amp and all the versatility it has. I like the App too. Musicians Friend got me a great on this as well; and their agent is following up making sure that I'm satisfied. The funny thing is that I came across this by accident. I placed an order for a Peavey amp that was on back order. I called Peavey multiple times, but they never returned my call. I also emailed them, but they didn't respond to that either. As far as I'm concerned, Peavey doesn't have any customer support.crrkr

Been playing about a year, so my review is from the perspective of a complete newbie. The things I like- Lots of presets, mobile app functions, computer interface, and loads of user created effects available. Nice and loud, but no real basis of comparison to say if clarity is better or worse than other comparable amps. Don't likes- The micro-usb interface. I had to get an adapter and it's just not as good a connection as nearly anything else would be. IMHO, micro-usb is far too flimsy. Connecting to PC is far more problematic than just using the spider mobile app. It's probably a little more complicated than it should be for a beginner, but it's feature rich for the money.Nic T

I had a Line 6 120w amp for years that I regrettably sold a while ago and was looking for another amp. I looked at all the amp reviews I could find and decided that the new Katana was the way to go. I got the Katana home and absolutely loved it but the second day I had it it started a really loud buzzing that I couldn't stop. It probably was an easy fix but the fact is the amp was way too powerful for my purposes and their software wasn't compatible with the new Catalina OS. I returned and started looking again. I saw the 60w Spider V and the price was excellent so I made an on the spot decision to buy another Line 6 and I'm really glad I did. The tones this amp can get are incredible. There are so many amp models and cabs that you can dial in pretty much any tone you want from a crispy snapback country clean to the most vicious heavy metal and everything in between. You can use the presets as they are or you can use them as a baseline and tweak to your own liking or you can start from scratch and build your own rig from the ground up. The controls are intuitive and easy to use but there are some features where you'd have to be a professional to really know how to use or even care to use. The software and the mobile app are so easy to use and give you all the options at your fingertips. The amp comes with a lot of presets that I find are completely useless but there are a lot that are excellent as I already talked about. There are only four empty slots for your own custom presets and I wish there were more but if you use the mobile app you can have your own tone library on there. I bought the FBV3 foot controller so that gives me a lot of flexibility to have various effects. One of the limitations is the lack of good effects though. There's enough that if you work at it you can get a decent sound but there could be some better ones. Overall I would recommend the amp. Don't listen to the naysayers or the amp snobs, it's a quality amp and extremely versatile.Just Plain Joe

On receiving the packet when i opened it , i found there is lot of noise when guitar is connected, later i discovered there is some object that is stucking against the walls of amplifier. On opening the panel i discover that the screws of the speaker were not tightened and the speaker was dwindling here and there.Ravish R.

I have been wanting one of these for some time and finally found one at a very good price. It is very versatile with two channels (actually 1 channel w/ two pre-amp sections), mid-boost, reverb, and tremolo. I don't need any more. I did change out the V1 tube to a 5751 for smoother, more controllable OD and like the result. The latest iteration (Delta Blues II) comes w/ a footswitch (previously not included). There are two stereo footswitch jacks; one for channel and boost, the other for reverb and tremolo. Small complaint of the included footswitch…it has no led's to show what is selected, and the PV fs that has led's does not function with this amp. You need to get either a Boss FS-6 or another brand w/ led's specifically for this amp (either must use a battery for the led's). Not a huge detractor….just saying. It can cover Blues (obviously), Country, Oldies R&R, Rockabilly, and Classic Rock….probably more, but that's what I do. I think it's as good as you can get in it's price range. I would categorize it as a close competitor to Fender's Blues Deluxe Reissue which I also own. Both are similarly priced. The PV can get somewhat more crunchy than the Fender and the Fender w/ it's 6L6's a bit cleaner. Something about a 15" guitar speaker that is unique (in a good way).They're worth test driving if you're in the market.bobstitt

I can't really compare this amp to other similar ones as it's the only one i have, but this is a fine amp and i felt like it needed at least one review on MF. I use it for recording and bar gigs and it has yet to let me down in either situation. It's loud enough for small to medium sized rooms without needing to go thru the pa. I would describe this amp as having presence and character. My style of music isn't necessarily "the blues" and i don't think the Delta Blues name should scare you away if that's not what you play. I run a Gibson SG thru an eq, Soul Food, and Boss compressor in the effects loop and i get a very rich and full tone with nice presence on the low end. I don't get ringing highs like a Fender amp, for example, gives but that's a good thing for me. I use the mid boost, which i think is a critical part of the equation. Same could be said for other amps i suppose, but like i said earlier i can't really speak too much in terms of comparison. I've literally never used the dirty channel or tremolo, but i definitely like the reverb on this amp. I would also recommend replacing the stock tubes with JJ's and using the factory ones for just-in-case backups, but that's not to say this amp has ever failed on me. So in short, i think if you're strictly a lead player and/or looking for the high gain Marshall type sound you should probably look elsewhere. But if you're like me and do the singer/songwriter thing but want to rock a little and have a good clean-but-not-too-clean sound this amp fits the bill.JP

I've been playing acoustic guitar for 34+ years. I've tinkered but finally got serious about electric a little over 5 years ago. In that five years I've went through several amps, tube and solid state. I've still got other's including Fenders, Palmer, Marshal & an old Epiphone tube amp, but this is my go-to amp. Such a sweet clean, I just love it. I've not used the dirty channel much as I just don't play that style but I have tinkered with it a bit and it sounds good to me but you would have to be the true judge of that. My Palmer Fat 50 is my second choice but those are hard to find here in the USA. To me the Peavey Delta Blues with the 15" is a Fender killer! So yes, I would recommend this to friends over and over and over. I actually use the Tremolo on one song our band does and it is pleasing to us but again as with dirty channels, I don't have a lot of experience with tremolos either. Reverb is another thing that is a personal choice with players, I happen to like the reverb on this amp, you just have to listen for yourself. Check out comparison videos on Youtube of this amp and Fenders! You might just be amazed! The only con I could think of is it is heavy but not any more so than any of my other tube amps. One of the main reasons I tried this amp is I was tired of lugging around my 1982 Fender Bassman 10onecuwldood

I use one of these for my nylon string Godin Multiac. I blend the nylon with a GR33 synth and run both signals into this amp on the clean channel. The issue I've always had with amplified nylon string guitars is the 'plucky' or 'plasticy' sound of them through guitar amps. This bass amp solved the problem for me. With the amp's treble and bass rolled off completely I can get a very round clear tone by using the guitar's eq to provide the brightness. Very light and powerful, and an unexpected solution to a long-standing problem I've experienced. The electric violinist in the band tried his setup through my amp with almost identical settings and he bought one also! Works very well for bass also, in a small setting.Jan-Mikael

TLDR: BUY IT! I ordered this amp when I bought my very first bass. For years I was stuck with a school Ampeg Little Stud bass from 1973. The bass itself was 40 pounds, and for all of its vintage appeal, I was not impressed by its condition or playability. The amp was even worse. It was a Backline 112 that weighed 50 pounds, and when I performed with it in a school gymnasium with a capacity of a mere 400 people, nobody heard me playing. When I bought my bass I knew that I needed a new amp. Enter the Rumble 100. If this is your first amp, you might think this is a little pricey, but trust me, it is beyond worth it. I'm only 5'1", and while I could carry the heavy Ampeg bass and amp, it was starting to hurt my back. But this amp is incredibly light. I almost expected it to have zero bottom end. But when I played it, I was shocked. The sound was very well-supported, even if it's played with the bass, low, and mid down and treble all the way up (which I wouldn't recommend… I mean, it's a bass amp…) I've loved this amp ever since. But I'm not a "pro" yet, so let me tell you what some professional musicians thought when they saw my amp. I performed with a popular local brass band that has been together since 1980. Altogether they have 50+ years of touring and gigging experience. They're used to lugging some pretty heavy equipment. When I walked in to the auditorium, I had my bass case slung over my shoulder, my amp in my hands, and all my music nestled under my arm. Of course the stage crew at the door all thought that the tiny chick (me) was about to drop everything, so they rushed over to help me by picking up my amp. They went, "What? We're wondering where the inside went, Is this it?" They thought it would sound awful. But that night, in front of 2,000 people (and there was a bass solo), everybody said they could hear me perfectly. The design is simple, the onboard controls are very effective and not too complex, and it plays loud and proud without hurting you.Bass Clef Kid

Like the rest of the bass players out there I've used all of the major brands. From old-school Acoustic Control heads and cabs from the '70's, to Ampegs etc etc etc…Well I've reached the point where that level of stage volume isn't needed for what I'm doing now; I shopped around, and despite some of the amazing combos available, I landed on this one. Actually the guitar player in our band mentioned that he had bought the 50watt version of this. I played through it and was impressed. For me it's the ideal unit for what I'm doing now – I still play some heavy rock (Mountain, Cream, Cactus, Trower), but when volume is required we of course use the FOH and good monitors for stage support. Having the onboard direct out is the best as it allows me to go direct into whatever board is being used, whether live or recording. Don't be fooled by the small size; the size is a real asset in terms of portability. The head is where it all starts, and the tonal range is wide so you can dial in your sound. In a live situation there's plenty of lows, highs and depth of tone. Playing in various size venues is no problem – this will carry without going through FOH in churches, smaller bars & clubs (50-100 capacity). Larger venues or live situations where stage volume is needed for impact or performance, then my personal recommendation is to use this as a personal monitoring device and go through the PA & stage monitor as a direct through the board. One last thing; the amp sounds as good on 3 as it does on 7. Any more than than 7 and it starts pushing the speaker, and not in a good way. But I've had this for several months now, use it gigging and recording regularly and overall am simply satisfied with the purchase. Like everything, this amp has limitations. You're not going to get the punch or volume of a high powered rig, and you really shouldn't be using a combo for something like that. But whether you're a beginner, novice, or weekend warrior or pro this amp, as well as the rest of this product line, is a tremendous option.jb

And so the endless search for a overdrive tone leads me to this. I have a Fender Twin for the best clean tone, but you will blow the roof off getting it to break up, and a 5150III for face melting distortion. But nothing for that middle ground of slight tube break up. I tried dozens of pedals. With dozens of pedals online costing more than this head I gave it a shot. A open box buy from MF was in perfect condition. I hooked it up to a cheap Crate V212 cab and was blown away. It's boomy and raunchy, but not flubby when cranked like many low watt amps. It has just a awesome overdriven rock tone. Easily nails Cream, Zep, 70's ZZ, A'smith & AC/DC and the classic late 60's to seventies Stones tone. The 7w is just perfect for the house, loud, proud and ripping. Mike it to a PA and you can use it in arenas and stadiums. It is naturally bassy so I leave the treble boost on to balance things out. There is only one speaker out, no standby switch, effects loop or reverb. So I use a reverb pedal. Tube amp overdrive heaven in a small package without that phony pedal tone. It's really a no brainer, gitter done. Seriously.PSL TSW

This amp is simply incredible. Some critics note a lack of bass, which I think is insane. I have the bass down to 4 and it is still quite robust. I also own a DRRI and, to be honest, I turn to the 007 more than the DRRI (I play a Strat with a TBX and 25db mid boost installed). The clean sound is noy quite the equivalent of a DRRI or a tweed Fender, yet it is definitely usable and warm. The amp does break up early (which is the point), so I would not lean on it for sparkly Fender cleans. The distorted sound is where this amp shines-even without the excellent treble boost switched on, you can get ridiculously creamy, warm yet articulate breakup that gets you from classic early Clapton blues tones to 70s Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC tones. Recommended for any blues and classic rock players. Limited application for jazz, country, and metal guitarists.Sean

The little Elf arrived in double quick time and I am a man with a happy wife easy life. Huge sounding and a lot of power for such a small amp. The Spark Control App gives you loads of choices from classic sounds to the most modern of amps out there today. You also have tons of effects to use in conjunction with all of these modeled amp choices. All of these possibilities can be saved as your own personal presets which can endlessly be tweaked to make you sound and play your best. You can also use the Jam Along feature which syncs to iTunes, Spotify, etc. while also displaying the chord changes as you play. The Spark amp also connects easily to any DAW for professional sounding quality recordings. This amp does it all for a fraction of the price.Javier

Used it only for practice. Unusable for live performance. Every update was a fiasco and after 11 months, it only works as a Bluetooth speaker as the Amp section gave up. Google that issue and found it happens to many other users. Defective chip and Positive Grid helpdesk is not responding.Cory

The amp is awesome. Well built and solid, very pleasant to look at, easy to use and the sound! Oh man, the sound of that little amp is just beyond belief. Full and rich, it fills the room as though it were five times the size. With the app on my android phone, fine tuning the sound is easy and intuitive, and you can save your sounds as presets if you wish. But even without using the app, the presets that ship with the amp are simply stellar. In my opinion, the amp is well worth the price.Richard L.

I'm enjoying the Vox VX50 as a practise Amp, it's small, light and quiet but has a nice tone. I can play it anytime without upsetting the neighbours. The only improvement I could suggest is maybe to simplify the controls, bass, mid, treble and volume is enough, spend the extra on speaker quality and power. Overall good though.Jason S.

I got this amp back in February of 2021 its a guitar amp not for bass guitar at all.This amp sounds really really good it's also loud.The gain channel is great I love it I can get a good Marshall crunch out of it that sounds good not thin,flat ect. I like the effects it has although I don't use the app much but it works OK once you figure out the settings what type of sound you want. This amp will compete with like limes of a Fender Frontman or Fender Mustang. It's well made and looks good not cheap like lyx pro ,glarry or best choice products. I needed a great little all tube amp for practising at home and I found this little rocket of an amp on a YouTube review video featuring chappers and the captain. They were both waxing lyrical about this great little amp so I took the plunge and offered it from andertons. It arrived promptly and undamaged. My only reservation about this amp was its lack of independent EQ. But now that I have it, I actually like the simplicity of the ISF knob. It's just so much less to fiddle with. The clean tones are surprisingly diverse and rich and I can't speak highly enough of the reverb. It nearly does capture everything from a Fender tube to a British Vox. The overdrive is Blackstar, so it's sounds awesome. The first voicing is really tight and crunchy, while the second voicing gives a heavier, more blended, open overdrive sound. I am extremely impressed with this little amp. It sounds good enough to use as a small studio amp.Tyler Hawkins

A lot has been said about this amp. Now that I have it on my hands I can confirm that it is indeed an amazing piece of equipment. I also have a modeling amp but this one is much more pleasant to play. You feel and hear indeed the warmth of the tubes while playing. But what makes it a winner for me is that if I try for example a pedal or a mod on my guitar I can actually preview what I will get from my main (tubes) gear. I read that some musician fellows like to upgrade tubes and/or speaker in this little amp. I have to say that to my hears it is not needed. It plays just fine right out of the box! That easy. So my plause goes to Blackstar for their products (my third one, actually; I also own HT Club 40, HT Club 50 MkII); I just hope that through the years they will continue providing great gear for affordable prices. I've owned several Fender amps over my 54 year span of guitar rock 'n roll and blues playing, at home, parties, and club gigs. This amp is an awesome sounding performer. This amp is reminiscent of my old Fender Bandmaster from the 60's, without all of the bulk and weight! It's lighter than my '68 Twin Reverb or my '90's Blues Deluxe, even though it is slightly bigger than the Twin. The clarity and warmth of this amp is just wonderful. Crisp and clean. I haven't been able to crank it up yet, as I have been using it just in my home studio since its purchase, but I know it will be able to handle a club situation quite easily. I've used the amp with pedals and without. Again, the clarity is remarkable. This is a simple, easy amp to use and you will love the tube sound! Highly recommended!Slowhand in central Cali

The amp has an excellent tube tone, crystal clear and loud as hell on the 30w channel. I use pedals for my effects and overdrive and this amp handles them beautifully. I practice with a full band and I never have to turn it past 6. It cuts through the mix with ease. Lighter than I expected for a tube amp also. I bought this to pair with my semihollow electric for blues and classic rock tones, and it is everything I was looking for. Definitely recommend.TL

recently bought one, and returned it. Some people might dig it, but I found it very harsh. Huge lack of eq control. Any type of overdrive added before the amp results in a horrible clipping click. I wanted to love it….. It might be ok for a clean jazz amp.scdozz
