I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I say "seemed" because I returned the bass and so the bag as well.Vice
I bought a used guitar for back porch jamming. Needed a gig bag that didn't cost more than the guitar ,but would keep it safe and clean. Very nice overall. It feels sturdy and should protect my guitar well. The only issue I had right out of the box was the stitching that connects one of the clips to the backpack strap was starting to unravel. Luckily, I have someone in myhouse hold who can sew and was able to mend it, otherwise I would have sent it back for a replacement. I purchased this item to protect my Gibson Les Paul Custom Signature Series Guitar. As reviewed, the interior is extremely plush. The exterior looks quite dependable for all intent and purposes. Like others noted, the points of contention are the metal pieces attaching the handle preventing a 5 star rating. It is illogical to spend so much time on every detail "except" the parts supporting ALL the weight of the instrument. It appears that with a given amount of weight shift, the support brackets may snap off allowing the case to fall down in the direction of the headstock and potentially cause damage from impact. Since this case will very rarely see time outside of my home, I feel fairly certain the few times I need to transport my axe, I will be careful.1amun_re
i ordered this with intentions of getting the most for my money. I don't have big bucks to spend, but I wanted certain things and I got what I hoped for. I wanted enough length to accommodate the longer-than-typical headstock on my LP copy Bradley. The measurements were clearly lined out. The rest of the fit was perfect and plush. My only criticism is the metal bracket that secures the nice handle seems a little thin, but I expected there to be a little give-and-take somewhere, for this price. I'm pretty handy and will figure out a way to reinforce it. If not for this I'd give it 5 stars! FYI, Standard Shipping meant US Post Office, at least in my case. I think the price of guitar cases are totally inflated and to get one on sale is something one has to do to stretch the dollar. Okay, that being said, this case fits my China made Fender strat Squier to a tee. The eye catching tweed fits the Fender vibe. If you noticed my cons was durability i.e. the cases tweed look is attractive, but you wonder as road gigs pile up if the tweed doesnt start to tear and expose the raw components exterior of the case underneath? If they had lacquered the tweed exterior, the case itself would have a fighting chance to slip and slide into vans and carriage areas with little thought of rips and tears it would acquire in a short time. Again, I dont gig much these days, but if I was looking at a case long term that could withstand the road, this case would questionable unless you "handle with care" when you transport and load and unload your gear.James R
I didn't feel like spending over $200 and waiting until who knows when, for a Gibson Explorer case, so I picked one of these up. For the money, it's a good case. I carry my guitars with me to shows, so they are always in my vehicle, so this case does the job. I will say it feels a tad more sturdy than the Gator version of this case, and it's slightly smaller, which is a good thing given how large an Explorer case has to be. The only improvement I could wish for, is to make it tad smaller still. There's still several inches of room from the headstock to the edge of the case. I purchased this knowing that it wouldn't be a super durable road case but adequate for storage and playing out now and then. In those ways, it met my expectations. The case is made of very thin plywood, but not so flimsy that it can't function as a good light duty case. The hardware appears to be of decent quality and all of the latches lined up well. The lining was neatly applied and actually fairly soft and plush. It is a universal fit case, so I wasn't expecting it to be completely form fitting to my Telecaster. It will move around a bit in the case when you transport it. It could use better neck support, as well. But overall, not bad for the price. Where this product really came up short is with the application of the tweed covering. The tweed was applied over wood chips and small voids in the wood frame. No effort was made in sanding or prepping the wood prior to applying the cover material. This is only cosmetic, but looks really sloppy and substandard. Maybe I just got a rough one. I didn't expect perfection at this price, but I don't think this case ever should have left the factory like this.Pat

Very nice case for my PRS 245 good price fast shipping would buy again.
Its a nice case fits my LP perfect its not a high end case but it's it made very well. The only issue it had was a smell on the inside didn't know what it was I contacted Glarry and they email me back saying to let it air out for a couple of days didn't work but other than that good case.

I had a hard case for my Epiphone Firebird. It was all wood and a real vertebrae snapper. A friend needed a case for a custom bass he made, so I sold him the Firebird hard case. I then acquired the 20mm soft case for fire bird guitars. It fit my Firebird like a glove. The entire package is now easier to carry. Purchased this case in "Brown" and it's beautiful. Very well made and a little lighter than the epiphone brand Case. The gold hinges and latches are stronger than I had anticipated, Should last for years. The interior is solid and covering is just as well made as it's competitors brand, epiphone. It does not carry it't name sprawled in gold ink across the top of the case, yet does have a small metal name plate attached to the side by the handle. Before discovering Glarry, I had ordered a similar case from China through a major US retailer. Two days later, I was informed that the product was out of stock. They also charged my credit card, even though they were not supposed to until the product shipped. I cancelled the order and finally received a refund after two more days. That's when I discovered Glarry and placed my order; a smooth transaction and the case even arrived a day early! The case came wrapped in a protective fabric sleeve, packaged tightly in a cardboard box. The box had a few dings and gouges from shipping, but the case was not scratched or damaged. The first thing I noticed after unpacking, was an odor similar to car wax or perhaps leather conditioner, which based on some dust residue, led me to discover that the case must have been quite dusty prior to shipping. There were wiping patterns on the exterior; nothing extreme, but certainly visible upon closer inspection. I even found a piece of red lint from the cleaning cloth, lodged beneath the hardware. So wherever the case was cleaned, I'd rather they use a soft brush or compressed air, rather than wiping the case with a cleaning product, as once the textured surface has been wiped with a liquid, it's nearly impossible to remove the wipe-marks. But again, this is not noticeable unless you really look for it, and it's eventually going to get dusty anyway; after-all, that's what cases are for right? Then I noticed about six or seven stitches in a row, that were not snug to the surface. I applied a small amount of super-glue to the threads, one at a time; and using a piece of plastic-wrap, pressed each firmly to the upholstery and gently wiped away with the plastic until they were in place. Probably not a big deal visually, but I did not want all those loose thread-loops getting snagged on something and pulling out an entire row of stitching. Other than that, I was very pleased with the exterior appearance and fit of the hardware. Upon opening the case, I noticed a few pieces of lint, a few stray threads along the outer edges, and the manufacturer tag; all of which were easily removed with a razor blade and a vacuum-cleaner. I then placed my new Surf Pearl Strat into it's new home, and it fit like a glove, both physically and visually. I did not have to remove the strap, simply folding it neatly to the top/side of the body, and the trem-bar fit nicely into the storage compartment. The padded lid closes snugly and latches securely. Although I don't plan on tossing this case into the cargo-hold of an aircraft, I feel confident that it will be just fine for home use. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good bang-for-the-buck case, and I would not hesitate to purchase again if the need arises. I don't mind a little fine-tuning if I know I'm getting a good deal. Thanks Glarry, for offering a reasonably priced quality product with hassle-free shopping. Great job!
I recently bought a Schecter guitar on Ebay. Brilliant guitar for the price. I tried it in a Fender Strat case and it fitted, so I scoured Ebay for a case for the new addition to the family. Luckily I spotted a Glarry case for a Strat type guitar and, seeing the bargain price bought it straight away. It arrived very quickly and is excellent. The guitar fits perfectly and the case looks like it will give good protection for years. A few days later my son came around, saw the new guitar and asked me to get one for him [ he will pay me for it later ], so I found another one and bought it and another Glarry case. I would recommend Glarry products to anyone who has more sense than money !!

I have hard shells for my guitars but day in day out playing 3-4 times a week this gig bag is convenient and easy to sling over your shoulder while lugging into a venue. I carry 2 axes and it just cuts down on trips. The inner foam is firm and protects the instrument when loading in the car.Mitch

Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. I purchased the tweed/red case and really love it. I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE
This case is not what I expected from a G&G case. I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure.The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Also, be aware that the "orange" plush interior is closer to red than orange and does not look like the photos.Adam
