Reviews:
The only floating tremolo I will ever use. Floyd Rose is the only tremolo system that responds to my extensive dive bombing, pulling, fluttering and sound effects smoothly and effeciently. Nothing else even comes close and I've tried them all. Worth it's weight in Gold. All of my guitars that have double locking tremolo systems on them, are equipped with the original Floyd Rose. Even if they came with Kahlers or knock – offs originally. I took routers and everything else needed to get the Floyd Rose to fit into place. Even my vintage axes. That's how serious I am about the Original Floyd Rose. To me there is no other! Now they come in Chrome, Gold, Smoke Nickle, Black and Matte Black too! How cool is that?bashfuldwarf
I ordered this for an '89 Jackson/Charvel Dinky. The old FR had seen it's last days and I didn't want to spend too much on this guitar (as much as I love it). The Special turned out to be of pretty nice quality. All The parts were included and the installation was actually pretty easy. FR are notoriously tricky but installing one from scratch really helps you to see how they work, making the final setup much easier. Surprisingly, I had an easier time setting this up from scratch than I've had trying to adjust existing FR's. One note. The trem block that comes with this is pretty lame. It's tiny and appears to be made out of Chineseium. I ordered a FR Big Brass Block at the same time and installed that from the start. I would recommend doing that as it's only another 32.Gabriel
I grew up in 80's & 90's and that is when I started playing guitar. my first guitar was a fender strat and the trem bar on those guitars is basically worthless or you had better wait till the very end of the song to do that dive bomb on the wammy bar. anyway the double locking floyd rose system and all the licensed versions out there were a must in the era if you were a student of the shreders. until a little band called nirvana came along and the days of the shreding solos and use of the wammy bar just went. but I was so happy to find out that you could get the real floyd rose original again because it is just the best version out there in my opinion. so back to 1990 when I first started playing guitar, me and my dad were avid headbangers ball viewers and it didnt take long to realize that my strat needed a locking trem of some kind. and the only way you could get an original floyd that I remember was you had to find a kramer or something that all ready had one on it. so I settled for a liscened version made buy WD if my memory serves correct. Which was decent enough. I could finally start trying to emulate all my heros that influenced my ( EVH, Kirk Hammett, Dime, etc…) inital playing and solo learning. But to get to the point, I later discovered the gibson les paul and became a pretty much LP or nothing kind of guy once I went more alternaTIVE and less heavy metal. But I still had my 1983 charvel model A, single humbucker, single volume control, (so Eddie VH) and the need for a locking trem. well I finally found that you could acctually get a real floyd rose original, pricey but worth it. so I got one and put it on there, And really if you have the need to go with a floyd rose type, I can tell you I have yet to try out or play a " LIC. UNDER FLOYD ROSE PAT." design that could compare to the original real deal. just the quality and playability of the real thing has no comparison. they use top quality materials and plus EVH uses them….can't go wrong there..Jacob Fisher A.K.A Leroy Crow

Reviews:
It has a cool design and plays pretty smooth (after setting it up myself.) The main issue I have with this guitar its particularly at the 1st fret high E. When playing I keep slamming my finger into the sharp corner of the bone nut. That is really the kicker of it all. The pick ups are pretty good and have a pretty balanced sound that let you play clean cleans and dirty articulated lows. Holds tune pretty well. The feel of the neck is pretty smooth and doesn't feel like a 2×4 with strings on it..3-alch3mist-3
I've played a six string for 22 years and this is my first foray into the world of seven string guitars. I was a little intimidated thinking it would feel completely alien to me. I was also worried about the multiscale neck, for not having ever played one before. Taking all of that into consideration, this guitar feels fantastic. The tone is excellent and it feels great in my hands. I was able to learn a lot of new songs in no time. I would recommend this guitar to anyone thinking about switching over to a seven string.JOHN
Overall: This guitar is ideal for tunning under drop A, I play it in drop G and it is just made for great range. You can chug all day and solo like a shredder on the top. The tension on all the strings is great. You will need to get it set up so if you can do set ups yourself that is great, will not take long at all. The rail pickups are new to me but they cut the muddy freqs quite well! they are hot and clear. The pictures also do not do this guitar justice! In person the fretboard looks amazing and the finish is a nice dark red. Its a metal machine and the rounding of the neck joint is very nice to have!Vaughn

Reviews:
Perfect guitar. Absolute weapon out of the box and holds lower tunings very well. Sounds amazing and articulateScott M.
This is an absolutely stunning instrument! A real workhorse guitar with a versatile set of tones thanks to the pickup switching and coil tap options. As a baritone scale length guitar, it is designed for lower tunings whilst maintaining string tension and it does this very well. The Fusion Edge pickups combined with the Ash body give it a brighter sound than you might expect, but excellent clarity even when driven. Having played the early Iron Label guitars, this model is several steps ahead in terms of quality and playability. LOVE it!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
I knew this guitar, with it's mahogany body and flame maple top, would produce an awesome tone. The Wizard II-7 maple neck allows me to play faster runs I wouldn't normally be able to play on my other guitars. I have had this guitar for about three weeks and I absolutely love this guitar. For the look, playability and the sound of this guitar you cannot beat it for the price.
Overall: This is a nice guitar, very well made as you would expect from any Ibanez guitar. The neck is thin and very comfortable. I cant review the pups that it came with because I installed set of seymour duncan nazgul/sentient pups right out of the box before I even plugged it in. At first I wasn't real happy with the sound. It was very heavy and dark. I went back into the electronics and noticed it had a very large capacitor on it. After disconnecting the capacitor I gained back the highs and achieved the tone I was expecting from the nazgul pup. I will be installing a 1 meg ohm pot and small capacitor in a few days, this will give the the "wide open" sound from the pup that I want wile still letting me roll off some of the highs if I should so choose. Other than that, love the guitar!! Plays really well and looks good too.Vernon

Reviews:
Ok, I give it 5 stars for the money, but disregarding the cost I'd give it close to 4 stars anyway. I found I needed a 7 string to complete some demos…. And this cheapy did the job admirably. Setup was fine right out of the box, action and intonation were spot on, I changed nothing. Fretwork is tidy and well executed, and the jumbo frets are nice. The neck is really playable, nice profile and satin finish, there's even a bit of a flame in the maple. Fretboard is a little streaky, clearly a stained, lighter wood due to the CITES regulations, but it feels fine and looks ok. Hardware is basic but functional. It stays in tune perfectly, and I bend a lot, particularly lower down, which I find often pulls instruments out of tune. The body is really resonant when played unplugged. I debated between the longer scale of the Jackson Dinky, and the better upper fret access of the Ibanez, and I'm happy with the choice I made, although I'll go slightly heavier on the strings when I change them. If I was a proper metaller I'd probably throw in some (insert uneccesary, expensive, trendy pickup here), but I bought it for demos, and I've had no problem making it sound how I want, so it's staying as it is. The only surprise, not that I'm bothered, is that the centre of the burst is much darker than I've seen on any of the official pictures, it's practically black, much more subtle than shown. It'll probably come alive under stage lighting though.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
First guitar I ever bought was a Fender Strat Squire for $95 and yes it was fun to play and great to learn on it, I was tired of down tuning and going back to standard so much bc of the different songs I like, my high e kept breaking and the pickups didn't like a whole lot of gain. I had looked at a ton of the cheaper side 7-strings like the Jackson Dinky or a used Schecter Omen-7, or something like that. For me though, the feel and the sound of the Ibanez Gio GRG is amazing and a lot easier to play than my Squire. I'm glad I picked it up for $220 and I'm for sure going to be playing it a lot. I do wish the body was a little thinner, and that it had some sort of tremolo system, but that's okay, I can live with it. Amazing build and great finish.boomythecrow

Reviews:
ive wanted to try a 7 string for a few years and this is great for a first! the pickups are clear, the feel of the guitar is smooth, and the paint finish is v pretty, all for a great price! just change the thin stock strings out for ernie ball slinky 11-58 strings and it plays vvv well 🙂lonemat86
I picked this up the day it arrived, before it was put on display at a local GC. I carefully tested every aspect of this guitar and was shocked by its quality as others have noted. The bridge set up is the first string- thru TOM for me and the sustain is remarkable. The machines hold tune and tune with precision. I find the pickup set captures a tight lower register rather well. The action, fit, jumbo frets and finish are what anybody would expect from a FAR more expensive instrument. After a year of research, I'm convinced that this is by far the best 7-string in its class and I cannot find a single negative feature with this model. WOW!Snail
I was very impressed, especially for the price. quality of the product, other than a very small flaw in the finish (dip in the paint, not a scratch) next to the bridge pickup. The instrument plays well, has a good action, and sounds every bit as good as my other guitars which cost considerably more. Great buy for the money.Doug

Ive been using this for over a year, using it for tabs and tabbing my own stuff and also learned more about basic music theory. ive made tons of "video game" like songs on this because of the sounds of the instruments. but ive had so much fun using this program for what the price is. if you're looking to tab your own songs or learn some songs, guitar pro makes it real easy.Elric

Flawless and stunning instrument. It is however a rather heavy guitar, despite being extremely thin.
15. Mayones Duvell Elite 7 Guitar,7-String, Ebony Fretboard, Trans Black Satin
Product Details:
Mayones guitars and basses are hand-crafted in poland using traditional european luthier techniques and the finest components available. professional musicians worldwide depend on their mayones to provide stunning sound and consistent playability night after night. mayones artists include between the buried and me, korn, katatonia, limp bizkit, paradise lost, keith merrow, periphery, jimmy haslip and many more. reserve your mayones today and see how it inspires your own creativity bare knuckle tko humbucker pickups these pickups are specifically designed for mayones. they are high output and each set is custom wound for the specific model that it's going into. mayones and bare knuckle have a strong relationship going back many years so i was honoured when dawid and his team asked me to design a custom humbucker set specifically for their guitars. the brief was to create a bridge and neck humbucker set voiced to reflect the playing styles of mayones players and for the optimum translation of tone from these amazing guitars. dawid sent over a duvell and a regius for me to use in r&d and over the course of several weeks the concept of the tko humbuckers was borne. this produces an excellent combination of power and range of tone, producing 3 very distinct tones from bridge, bridge/neck and neck selections on the pickup selector. mayones guitars are extremely resonant due to the choice of premium timbers and construction methods and it was important that the pickups capitalised on this naturally rich, percussive tone. the tko bridge has plenty of output, bass notes track very quickly, mid range is punchy and highs sound full with plenty of weight behind each note. neck tones are clean and open with a woody snap and great balance of output with the bridge. mid position split coil tone is very tight and percussive with a very clear cut in the highs. overall the tko humbuckers offer a wide range of saturated rhythm and lead tones coupled with dynamic cleans perfect for modern rock guitar styles and theyre the ultimate partner for mayones guitars. tim mills (bare knuckle)
