The second I grazed my first chord this guitar captured my heart. The warm, airy, haunting tone brought a tear to my eye when I ran the intro to I Stay Away by Alice In Chains. Upon inspection this is a well put together piece of equipment that performs as it should, and at a price that brings quality to all budgets. I will admit that I am a guitar snob. I would never imagine that a guitar of this price could look, feel, and sound so good. It definitely looks like a more expensive guitar than it is, but it also feels that way. There was only one sharp fret end. The action is consistent up the neck. The tuners are smooth and stay in tune. I did change the strings when I brought it home, and here is a weak spot. The bridge pin holes are too big for the pins, so they all are riding very low. They are secure, but it is definitely a quality control issue. The on board electronics are entry level, as you would expect. Overall, I am very pleased with this guitar, and I remain impressed that they can build a guitar with a solid spruce top, that looks and sounds like it does for this price.Fredd
It's a beautifully made guitar with a solid spruce top. Very solid feeling, and looks great! It plays easily, the neck is comfortable and straight, and the action is low; I may raise the action a little when I change strings. The sound is incredibly rich, full, and clear. It is a joy to listen to as you play it. I will keep it tuned a whole tone down, and use a capo if necessary, so as not to stress the neck, bridge, etc. I believe Mitchell guitars are made in Indonesia, not China. I am learning to find the open type chords that sound so good on a 12-string guitar. It will increase my acoustic versatility and skill. Loved the look, price, sound, and feel of this guitar. Tried it out in the store and was ready to buy the floor model, but luckily I asked for a 9V battery to test the electronics at the counter. Oddly the battery port fits fine into the guitar when empty, but the moment you put a battery in it it will not stay shut and pops open rendering your electronics useless. Me and the sales rep at the front figured this was had to be a fluke and he ordered a new one to be delivered to my house. Four days later it arrived. I played it for about an hour out of the box without issue (set up was great, sounded great acoustic) and then I decied to check the electronics. Sure enough, the exact same issue occured when I tried to fit a 9V in the battery port. When a battery was actually in it, it would not stay shut. No tuner, no electronics. Ten minutes later I was back at my local GC. The tech inspected it an came to the same conclusion as I did after trying 5 different brand batteries to see if that made a difference- it's defective. He recommended I return it and try another product. In short it plays nice, sounds nice, and looks nice but if it happened on 2 guitars it has to be happening on more of them. I'm sure you could duck tape it or find a way to keep it closed but this should not be an issue on a $350+ guitar. 3 stars.Ryan

The CC 60sce has a more cheery upper range, great for folk or country songs. The tuner is accurate and easy to read. The colors of the guitar really shine in good lighting. I'm not sure if it's the strings being new or if it's just the guitar but they seem to need some frequent tuning. Other than that, this is a great guitar for beginners hoping to play for a small audience or jamming with friends at home. Great feel and sound. But the little $1.99 door that holds the battery for the Fishman electronics is or will break, and it's a non-repairable part. You have to return the guitar to repair it. Disregarding the battery, the guitar is great. And I would buy it again. It's not a top of the line $1000 guitar, but it is a top of the line $200 guitar (with an extra $150 added on for broken electronics). The overall size is good, and the neck and frets are a good size for my 12 year old daughter. The action feels good with little fret buzz and it seems to stay in tune all day. I've had 2 of these now. My first one had a broken batt door when opening the box. Per Fender's rules, I returned the whole guitar for a replacement. Great! Except on the 2nd one the little door is too wimpy to stay clipped shut. So the battery just falls out. Maybe I'll have to resort to a big strip of duct tape to hold the door shut. Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. Or just rely on the clip-on tuner I already have and use a Mic to amplify it.Ben (again)

I purchased this guitar last year after seeing it in the "Open Box" listings. The photos were not clear but it was freight damaged in several places on the top and sides. BIG cracks. MF sold it me at cost. My guitar tech repaired the cracks which took a couple of weeks but didn't charge much for the repairs. When I finally played it after it was set up it was AMAZING. Even at the regular price point it's a steal. Blows Martins right off the stage. If buying it, like any other instrument, it needs to be professionally set up for it to play right and sound good. My tech found no other issues other than the freight damage. He agrees with me that it's an amazing instrument. If need be I would buy another without any hesitation.Sid
I plat solo with vocals in concerts, at church both solo and with a band, at sing-alongs, song-writing, jamming, Just about everywhere with and without amplification and sound modelling. I live in Pennsylvania quite near to a famous well established major acoustic guitar manufacturer. Most of my friends own guitars of that brand. But when they play my Artwood guitars they look at their CFMs with a jaundiced eye. Compared to their "auditorium" size X models my grand concert size Artwoods are equal to and in most cases superior to theirs. Both have solid sitka spruce tops chrome tuners and Fishman electronics. Mine have rosewood fretboards and bridges; theirs are made out of black plasticized paper materials called richlite and coriian. Mine have bone nuts and saddles and theirs have plastic ones. Mine have laminated mahogany WOOD back and sides; theirs have some kind of synthetic laminate material (Formica perhaps?). Mine have black and ivory perfling with mock tortoise shell bindings; theirs are unbound. Theirs were made in Mexico, where making quality stringed instruments is a 500 year long tradition; mine were made in China where quality stringed instruments have been made continuously for over three thousand years. Their guitars play well and sound good. Mine play and sound even better and cost hundreds less. QUESTION: Why pay extra Benjamins just for a name?Cat
I am a beginner (able to play only a few chords at this point). I find this guitar fairly easy to play. The neck feels good in the hand and the matte finish makes it easy to slide the fretting on the neck. The craftsmanship is very good. My only complaint is that one side of the back on my guitar is noticeably darker than the other (which is why I deducted one star). The finish looks and feels almost like smoothly sanded raw wood. Don't buy this guitar if you are wanting something flashy. Overall, I think it is a good value.Dennis

I needed an inexpensive guitar for my son Craig. After exhausting hours of shopping & looking for just "the right one"- we came across this one from Stagg. Craig really liked the way it looked and I liked the price- so we got it. We have had this guitar for two weeks now and since then he hasn't been able to put it down. We have a guitar amp that my husband used to use (back in the day)- so my son could "plug in". The guitar sounds great through the amp. My son LOVES plugging this guitar in. Craig had his first guitar lesson last night and his Stagg Guitar fared really well. His teacher was impressed with the guitar and said its intonation is great and it "tunes well" (not 100% sure what all of that means but it sounded great). Overall, I'd say that I'm very happy with the guitar. It plays well, and it sounds great. I had to tweak it a bit, though. It had a respectable amount of bow in the neck when I received it. I've torqued most of it out, but I have the truss rod tightened as far as I dare to. The action is still a bit high at the 12th fret, but I'll take care of that when I change out the strings. It sounds very chimey and bright with no bottom end at all, hopefully a beefier set of strings will help with that. Skinny frets, I wish they were a bit more robust. String spacing (between pairs) isn't consistent between the nut and the bridge, I may notch the bridge a bit to eliminate that. Otherwise, it's a beautifully built guitar and a great value for the price. You won't be disappointed.
I had a cheap 12 string guitar for about almost two years. I had been playing corridos during this time. However, I had played guitar for several years. Mainly rock and other stuff. Well, after I got it, I could play all the solos I couldn't really play clean. I guess the other guitar really was bad, or this one is great. Funny thing, I had a really good player tell me to not buy this model but the more expensive one. Well, I'm glad I decided to go with this one. This guitar sounds great and it's extremely easy to play. The guitar stays in tune fairly well for a 12 string guitar. The action is low. I haven't tried it the electronics aside from the tuner which works fairly well compared to my snark. I do have a Taylor and Martin guitar, and the tone on this guitar is pretty clean.Juan
This Guitar plays like a dream, sounds great no matter if it is plugged in or not, stays in tune and looks great. This is a great price for a guitar of this quality, but thanks to another dealers daily deal and Guitar Center's price matching, it was even better. I was able to get this out of layaway for $240 less. I am very happy with this guitar. I have not played in a band for a while, but getting back into practice and plan to start back with some solo acoustic gigs. I ordered this instrument as I was curious as to how I'd get along with 12 strings, and to see if it would be worth future investment. I've ordered and played an Epiphone EJ-200 before and was surprised by the brilliant quality I was getting for such a low cost, so on this occasion I followed Epiphone again for my foray into 12 string playing. The instrument is well crafted for the price point with only a few small QC issues slipping through, but nothing I can't live with. I was hoping for a larger sound as the small dreadnought body doesn't quite articulate as well as a bigger instrument would. It's got that jangle sound you want, although it feels like it's a little suppressed with the mahogany build and body shape & size. That being said, the instrument handles very well, and for me it was an easy adaption to play with the much thicker and wider neck. It holds tuning well and was set up pretty nicely – I didn't have to make any adjustments out of the box. For a first 12 string I'd recommend this above most others at the price point.
This is my Long Term Review. I have had this guitar for a bit over two years now and can give a more complete picture of it. First, the good. This is a very well made guitar. Under the pros, you will notice I mentioned Good Construction. This is particularly important in a 12 string. The biggest issue with all 12's is that they tend to come apart very quickly. You will have bowing, warping, separation of glueing, etc. All this is because of the tremendous extra pressure 12's suffer. After 2+ years, this guitar is still solid as a rock, and I leave it strung all the time. So I would say construction and bracing are very good on this instrument. Along with this is the fact that it Stays In Tune. This is another major issue with all 12's. Again, that extra force tends to make them go out of tune quickly. This one holds tune very well, and that is important as tuning a 12 takes some time. As for sound, I would say Not too Bad overall, and Really Good for an budget level guitar. It is a little thin for my taste, but there are ways around that. First, throw on a set of decent strings. I prefer Martin Marquise on mine, but personal choice. Second, I like to play through an acoustic amp, and I put a Seymour Ducan Woody on mine. When adjusted correctly, I can get a really decent, full bass sound, lots of body and still keep a nice jangle expected from a 12. Will it sound like a Martin or Gibson, no, but it gives a really nice sound for such a low price. As for the negatives, very few. First, keep in mind when Epiphone says "Select Spruce Top," they really mean laminated, not solid. But I suppose there varying qualities of laminated woods as well, and this one is great – really good resonance and sustain. It could maybe do with a better set of tuners, but as said before, it holds tune exceptionally well. Overall, for the price, Epiphone makes a really nice and playable guitar. Now am just praying they come out with a Masterbilt version of it.kdw
As usual with AMS, my order process was very easy,. The order arrived exactly when it was supposed to. However that’s when it all went South….! Exited to see and play my new 12 string, I unboxed it’s and sat down to play it. There was a single string in tune, not a one. A first I might add from AMS. I spent the rest of the day attempting to tune the guitar, although I never did. The tuners were difficult to turn, as if there was a bind of some type. I would get the note close only to have it go flat or sharp. I never was able to get it right. I called a friend of mine who’s been playing over 50 years and he was unable to get it in tune as well. Unfortunately I did return it to AMS, without issue. I must add, I have 2 other Epiphone guitar, electric and acoustic and they both came out of the box nearly perfect. I have never had a negative issue with AMS, and even the call to Customer Service was very positive and the agent could not have been nicer and even apologetic. I’m guessing this was just a lemon, but for now I’m going to do a little more research before I decide which 12 string I order, at this particular price point.

Been a drummer all my life and a studio producer over the last decade. I recently dove into learning guitar; electric, bass, acoustic, and classical. I wanted to explore the special sound you get from a 12 string. I have a Taylor 214 CE Dlx which sounds fantastic, so I base my acoustic ears off what I get from that guitar. I played everything I could get my hands on up to $1000. I was simply blown away with this Mitchell guitar's sound and playability. I have found that less expensive 12 strings can be pretty glassy sounding and typically lack low end. Not this guitar. It has a very pleasing airy sound that is warm and articulate. It is well balanced across all the frequencies to my ears. Most tops are sitka spruce, this is mahagony and seems to be what really helps set it apart. I had to ignore the "brand" name and just go with my ears and instinct The strings were broken in and it stays in tune very well. It was set up very nicely with low action and just easy to play and inspiring. The bridge was still fairly flat and not pulling up much at all, as can be typical with cheaper guitars that use young wood that still needs to dry out and settle. If it sounds, feels and plays good and inspires you to play more, than you can never go wrong with your choice. Sold…Drum Dood
I have tried this guitar in 2 Guitar Centers (Manchester, CT and New London, CT) when shopping for other reasons but I like to try the goods while I'm there. Point being, I keep going back to it. I've been thinking about adding a 12string to my arsenal. After trying other brands in higher price ranges I find myself enjoying the playability and sound more while in disbelief if its price point. As I read other people's reviews I have come to the conclusion that it's a must have. There is a sale right now on the thing so I'll be owning it within a couple hours. This is my first 12 string after 36 yrs of playing. There are no issues to speak of with the guitar I received. Sounds and plays excellent. Looks are better in person. Honestly couldn't be more happy about this guitar. I mainly playing electric guitar, rock to metal, and not that big into acoustic. If you get one, I sincerely hope it's as nice as mine. So far so great. This is my second Taylor ( 2008 914ce is my other) and I really love it. I have played twelve string acoustic and electric for decades but never had an American made acoustic. Compared to my other 12 strings, Epiphone and Yamaha, this feels like playing a six string. The action is great. It is not as loud as bigger acoustics but that is a good thing because it brings out all the strings and their nuance better. It sounds great with or without amplification.ktrip
This is an amazing, high quality instrument. The guitar is easy to play for a 12 string. It's resonant and responds to picking attack very well. Digging in a bit and using my picking hand for percussion on the top is very satisfying! The top is lively and there's lots of sustain. The set up seemed almost too good to be true. I needed a low action 12 string acoustic guitar that wasn't the size of a battleship. Something I could practice on at home without annoying half the neighborhood. An 'acoustic' guitar that would give me stonkloads of volume plugged in but with absolutely zero feed back even when I'm standing right in front of the monitor. It also had to sound like an acoustic guitar at any volume level. Turns out that's exactly what I got. Easy…..now I need to get a case…turns out not so easy here in the UK. Why don't dealers buy in the correct case when they order the guitar? Or is this just an ESP thing? Anyway, when a guitar is this good it is not so easy to get annoyed.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
From the minute I unpacked this guitar, I cannot put it down. The neck feels just like my PRS SE 24 Custom. It is a bit wider to accommodate the 12 strings. The setup, from American Musical Supply was spot on. The Fishman electronics are great and match up to the Loudbox Artist Pro 120 w I have been playing it through. This guitar is designed to be plugged in. The thinness of the body, 2" makes it very comfortable to play, but, it doesn't have any appreciable sound projection capabilities. It is like strumming a 12 string solid body electric. Right after the new years. I will be picking up the TL-6 6 string and will retire my Ovation Elite TX from acoustic gigs. The workmanship and quality at this price cannot be beat. Buy it and enjoy it, you won't be sorry!

Ok so it's Chinese made, but this is why it does not cost 1500. The build quality is good, the setup out of the box was great. Low action and easy to play, even accounting for wider than standard 6 string neck. ( And I don't have long fingers) The electrics work great and the hidden nature of controls is cool, if you don't want a big hole cut in the side of your guitar. Solid woods throughout, with great finish. Weakest point is the tuners, but it holds tune well for a 12 string, which in itself is unheard of!jacol-431
I've wanted a Guild 12-string since college, over over 40 years ago. Back then I had a Lyle Hummingbird clone 12-string, which sounded okay (laminated body, spruce top, Japanese manufacture.) Before I left college I also bought a Guild G-37, blonde, arch back 6-string. I still have both guitars. I loved the sweet, well balanced tone of the G-37, but could never afford one of their 12-strings to mate up with it. Fast forward to now – haven't played any of my guitars in several years, and wanted to get back into it. With the Westerly Collection, a 12 string was now affordable, and all the reviews and videos convinced me that this was the time! My new F2512E Deluxe arrived the other day, and it's stunning! Flawless finish, precision inlays, and oh that tone! Just like the tone of some of my favorite artists from the folk era, like John Denver. Can't wait to try Rocky Mountain High on this baby, but I'll also be learning or relearning some more contemporary tunes as well. Thanks Guild for making an affordable but terrific sounding 12!Mike
Bought this guitar to add to my acoustic collection. For this price my exoectations were low as I own a Martin, Gibson, Ovation Elite and Yamaha Transacoustic all which cost considerbly more so I was abslutely blown away by this guitar. It came perfectly setup out of the box with nice low action-no adjustment needed. The glossy sunburst finish over the flamed maple back and sides is absolutely beautiful-the top and is matched spruce and the back is matched flamed maple. Beautiful shimmery sound and the pickup sounds great plugged into my deluxe reverb amp. The satin neck finish is smooth and the frets are smooth and polished. The quality of this guitar is outstanding-I could not find a flaw in its material or construction anywhere. Nice bright maple jumbo guitar that I am glad I purchased. Don't let the price point and the made in China sticker scare you away-this guitar holds its own against my Martin HD-35, Gibson hummingbird and my other acoustic guitars. I bought a gator jumbo case to keep it safe and the ase fits nicely.DWB

I purchased this guitar for a different sound. I have had a dozen guitars before and currently have a Cort Gold O6 and Fender Vintera Modified 50s Tele which I love for different reasons. After trying a Taylor Academy 12e-N, which had a great sound but I didn't life the feel of the shorter 12 fret neck, I picked up my first one of these. Build and sound was great, but I had a lifted fret (#12) which buzzed. I tried to press it back in myself, but no luck so I'm guessing something swelled in the neck after the frets were leveled, crowned, and polished. I sent it back for an exchange.Jay

Sound: In regards to “sound” “presence” this pretty girl has enough for the price; in fact, it rings most crisp at the high end with nice low end presence for it’s size. Plugged in, it is actually expectable for strumming and picking! It’s size is just awesome for living room small studio or patio sessions (actually, I have laid down some sweet tracks using this well rounded acoustic) The electronics are acceptable enough- though I am going to upgrade mine because I do use it constantly. The Soft case is very nice and durable. My ONLY knock, the string holes/bridge assembly, cedar non-pin; the eyes of the strings are beginning to stress the inlets “widening them” due to the steel recessing the wood; the eyelets literally seated against it. This is a miner issue and a commonly used one. Overall: In regards to “sound” “presence” this pretty girl has enough for the price; in fact, it rings most crisp at the high end with nice low end presence for it’s size. Plugged in, it is actually expectable for strumming and picking! It’s size is just awesome for living room small studio or patio sessions (actually, I have laid down some sweet tracks using this well rounded acoustic) The electronics are acceptable enough- though I am going to upgrade mine because I do use it constantly. The Soft case is very nice and durable. My ONLY knock, the string holes/bridge assembly, cedar non-pin; the eyes of the strings are beginning to stress the inlets “widening them” due to the steel recessing the wood; the eyelets literally seated against it. This is a miner issue and a commonly used one. I had bought a Fender Acoustic 100 amp from here over a week or so ago which I love. The only problem was ,it doesn't work well with passive pickups as far as volume levels are concerned. I've been using a Taylor BBT along with a Duncan Woody SC which sounded great but just was not projecting the volume I needed . So I ended up going to a reputable dealer and ended up doing a cash/trade deal for one of these in the Natural finish just today. It is exactly what I have been looking for since I got my amp and it thanks to the Fishman Presys pickup, sounds great and projects the volume I needed and more in spades. I find that the tone on this one also projects more compared to the Mahogany model which I had for a while as well. I'm a happy camper and now have a rig that sounds really amazing that I can use with my solo Acoustic act.JeffO46
I just purchased this for my sister for Christmas as she tried to run away with a lot of my personal guitars. I was looking for a basic guitar but not too basic so that it wouldn't become boring too fast as she began advancing. This guitar is far from basic. In person, this is a fantastic looking guitar. I picked it up and fell in love, and I have never been too partial to Fender (however this is the first time I picked up a Fender acoustic). Pictures don't do it justice. Wanted to try a double coursed instrument for lead playing. So I bought one of these open box and took off the octave strings leaving only the B and high E doubled. Tonally it's as fine as any mid range Martin I've handled, not as funky, purer sounding with better sustain than my myrtlewood Breedlove, Better made than, but reminds me of my rebuilt Yamaha 180 in character: it will grow mellow with age and only increase in value. Nachdem ich die per Versand bei mir eingetroffene Guild D-2612CE Deluxe Antique Sunburst erwartungsvoll auspackte, war der erste Gesamteindruck von dem Instrument nach schneller Übersicht erst einmal recht gut. Eine insgesamt saubere und wertige Verarbeitung, und eine tolle Optik. Auf den zweiten Blick wurde mir die recht hohe Saitenlage gewahr. Nach dem späteren Stimmen und Anspielen wurde klar dass ein ungehindertes und entspanntes Greifen ab etwa dem 5. Bund so nicht möglich ist. Für eine Gitarre mit Cutaway, welche also das Spiel bis in die höheren Lagen ermöglichen sollte, ein eher unverständlicher (werkseitiger) Auslieferungszustand. Der Hals war zwar gerade, jedoch die Stegeinlage recht hoch… Da wäre also erst einmal der Gang zum Gitarrenbauer, zwecks Nacharbeiten erforderlich geworden. Zudem wären dort dann auch die Sattelkerben nachzuarbeiten gewesen, weil die Saiten beim Stimmen fürchterlich im Sattel hingen. Ok, grundsätzlich bisher alles machbar und verschmerzbar, wenn sich nicht noch ein weiteres Problem gezeigt hätte. Und zwar die mindere Qualität der Stimmtuner. Ehrlich gesagt, so etwas schlechtes erwarte ich bei einer Gitarre zum Neupreis von unter 100 Euro, aber nicht bei einem Markeninstrument für 640 Euro. Sehr ungleich und schwergängig, wobei einer der Tuner sogar nahezu klemmte und sich eher defekt anfühlte. Also auch bei völlig entspannter Saite, somit unabhängig von der schlecht gefeilten Sattelkerbe. Den Piezo-Tonabnehmer habe ich an einem Digitech RP355 über Kopfhörer getestet und da war nach meinem ersten Eindruck an der Qualität nichts auszusetzen. Fazit: Wäre ich bereit gewesen, die genannten Nacharbeiten in Kauf zu nehmen, einschließlich Austausch der Stimmmechaniken, hätte ich nun sicher eine ansonsten prima verarbeitete Gitarre. Und, natürlich muss meine Erfahrung NICHT auf alle Exemplare dieser Serie zutreffen!! Die Gitarre klingt übrigens auch sehr präsent, schön und ausgewogen, wobei ich den Punch in den Bässen ein wenig vermisse. Was möglicherweise auch an der werkseitigen Bespannung liegen kann. Ich habe mich dazu entschlossen die Gitarre zurück zu senden und ich werde statt dessen eine Zwölfsaitige von einem anderen Hersteller (diesmal aus europäischer Produktion?) auswählen. Abwicklung u. Korrespondenz seitens MUSIC STORE, trotz der pandemischen Bedingungen, wie immer kundenorientiert und top !

I was very excited to see and play a highly reviewed 12 string that costs pennies compared to my 12 string Takamine, Yamaha and Ibanez. Once I got through the box I saw the guitar had the look of some cheap pressed wood. The sound was as weak as a cup of Finnish coffee. The darn thing couldn't stay in tune to save mine or its life. How this guitar gets rated so highly MUST be a result of fake reviewers OR I simply got the ONE Rogue 12 string that seemed to be made by the Fisher-Price Company. This is NOT a musical instrument. It IS an instrument to make noise with. My edition was not worthy of the effort one has to put forward to learn and play guitar. One must have to have an instrument meet the musician at least half-way. With this "musical" instrument, you have to cross the block, pick the guitar up and fight against it to produce close to a tone that sounds musical. Best to buy a used good name 12 string guitar. Or save your pennies and get a Takamine or Yamaha. The latter will be excellent and cost in the $350 range. But a Yamaha will play forever and stay in tune. I recommend my Yamaha over my ash Ibanez. The former just has a fuller tone. If possible save for the Takamine which is on another guitar plane altogether. But don't buy a guitar based on price and/or name. I've discovered many of the friends I play with can't tell if their singing and/or playing is in tune!!. And yet, they own $5,000 MARTIN GUITARS!! Haha. Quite simply a waste of money. Be like me buying a red-green "masterpiece" oil painting, as I'm red-green color blind. But I DO have a good ear and this Rogue of a guitar is worthy of no one's money or effort. M.F. has many more-though more expensive-options that will bring the performer YEARS if not DECADES of playing happiness. Only misery lies in a 12 string Rogue guitar. Avoid.muskoxmike
Purchased this around December hoping to get my kids into it. As usually happens, it ended up being much more of a display use. I would imagine it was picked up about 12 times max total. It sat on display being ignored primarily. Still, by mid-June (in under 6 months) the bridge has warped and started to detach from the main guitar. I noticed this as I walked past it. The glue did not hold. Surprise though, because you can't just pull up a website for Rogue. I called Guitar Center for help to contact the manufacturer as this should be covered under their warranty. Guitar cCenter took my information and said they would forward it to their "contact" for the company and I should receive a response in 3-5 business days. It's been a few weeks now and I'm not impressed. No one called me back, they wouldn't simply give me an 800 number to call to handle it myself, and I still have no solution and no idea who to contact in order to make a claim on the manufacturer warranty. I am more than disappointed with Guitar Center's negligence to truly stand behind a beginner product they seem to offer a great deal of.Amanda V.
I'm so impressed by my RD 90. I think some reviewers are hesitant to give it the praise it deserves because it is an inexpensive guitar. I did a little work to lower the action and now it is perfect. Humidity and temperature changes cause it to need occasional tuning, no different that my other two acoustics. It has a full, rich tone. It plays easily. It makes me feel like I got a real bargain; I don't know how they turn a profit at this price.Charles

Wonderful sounding guitar, but in playing it a lot I seem to have affected my right ear. I recommend anyone who buys this also purchase some earplugs. I have an old Ovation 12-string from the 1970's, and it is a very nice 12-string guitar with a rich sound, but even back then, I liked the sound of the box-style Takamini 12-string guitars. In recent years, the Ovation required constant tuning, between about every song, and the factory wants too much to repair. It was cheaper to try this Takamini 12-string, and when I got it, it was already set up beautifully. The action is very low, even lower than some of my 6-strings, and the sound is full and amazing. I currently play on stage every Sunday in a church band, but also play other private concerts elsewhere. The electronics always work flawlessly and make it very easy to tune. The quality and the wood work are extremely good, and I can see the obvious improvement in Takamine guitars over the past. This said, I do have to mention that using a capo tends to throw off the tune. Not a lot, but it is there. It stays in tune fairly well, but I ALWAYS need to retune it after using a capo. This is one of the best sounding 12-string guitars I've ever played. It even sounds better than my Ovation 12-string from 1979. Great deal for the money!Tony
Let me start by saying this is an amazing guitar. I love takamine been using them for over 20 years. This is more the fact that guitar center has poor handling with merchandise. This is the third guitar I purchased from them within a few months of each other. There is always something wrong aesthetically. The guitars i buy are expensive and supposed to be new so i want them pristine. This never happens at GC. Anyhow, I reserved one of these beauties months ago only recently receiving. Upon opening the box first thing I see is a large thumbprint on the head of the guitar. Opening it further I see lots of dust on the side of it along the side to the bottom. It comes off but Im wondering where was this kept? Remember i had to pre order this and its definitly been sitting around somewhere for quite awhile. The front looks beautiful no issues there but the back has like 6-7 light/small scratches to me are very noticeable. This "new" guitar has been sitting somewhere for awhile perhaps on display or played around with at least. For over 500 bucks id like pristine condition. This is the last guitar I purchase from GC . I would recommend this guitar just not from GCGary W

Overall, I'd say that I'm very happy with the guitar. It plays well, and it sounds great. I had to tweak it a bit, though. It had a respectable amount of bow in the neck when I received it. I've torqued most of it out, but I have the truss rod tightened as far as I dare to. The action is still a bit high at the 12th fret, but I'll take care of that when I change out the strings. It sounds very chimey and bright with no bottom end at all, hopefully a beefier set of strings will help with that. Skinny frets, I wish they were a bit more robust. String spacing (between pairs) isn't consistent between the nut and the bridge, I may notch the bridge a bit to eliminate that. Otherwise, it's a beautifully built guitar and a great value for the price. You won't be disappointed.
I had a cheap 12 string guitar for about almost two years. I had been playing corridos during this time. However, I had played guitar for several years. Mainly rock and other stuff. Well, after I got it, I could play all the solos I couldn't really play clean. I guess the other guitar really was bad, or this one is great. Funny thing, I had a really good player tell me to not buy this model but the more expensive one. Well, I'm glad I decided to go with this one. This guitar sounds great and it's extremely easy to play. The guitar stays in tune fairly well for a 12 string guitar. The action is low. I haven't tried it the electronics aside from the tuner which works fairly well compared to my snark. I do have a Taylor and Martin guitar, and the tone on this guitar is pretty clean.Juan
This Guitar plays like a dream, sounds great no matter if it is plugged in or not, stays in tune and looks great. This is a great price for a guitar of this quality, but thanks to another dealers daily deal and Guitar Center's price matching, it was even better. I was able to get this out of layaway for $240 less. I am very happy with this guitar. I have not played in a band for a while, but getting back into practice and plan to start back with some solo acoustic gigs. Having this awesome new guitar is surely an inspiration to help me want to practice more.Kip
